Mother Fucker that feels good.

It is down right impossible to kill the mood around here this fine evening. So, my intended post has been shelved for the time being. I am grateful for the distraction; my mood had drifted toward the foul. I am not my usual pretty princess self. You laugh...would you prefer The Queen? Quite honestly, I am like an unruly child.

Foolishly, I lost my temper. In an attempt to do far too many things at once, I allowed myself to snap under the pressure. The target of my destructive behavior, ever so graciously, allowed my rant without a challenge. And yes...as I know you will ask, I have apologized. I am truly sorry.

p.s. those dark moments back there cause me to pause and thank you.

ok, i just read her review! it didn't have a lot of detail -- you could tell the poor thing was exhausted -- but this was the best quote from it:

Mayo I understand you,

You are not an emotional sadist, even though you feel like one.

The pain you have inflicted is considerable.

Your self loathing is deeper than a defense mechanism.

Your wound has a transparent gauze. Hit at the right spot, the pain re-emerges. Each time the wound re-infects, it becomes harder to heal.

The enjoyment you experience is not derived from the pain that is given, but from seeing the subject EXPERIENCE the same pain that is suffered by you.

And if that pain is heightened, the pleasure is immense.

You need them to hurt more.

If you need to talk, I will be here. In the shadows, as you.

For the people who were asking about the 14 year olds' letter to kerrang regarding MSI, here it is:

Dear Kerrang! I recently went to see Mindless Self Indulgence at the Glasgow QMU on the 7th of October and I was not amused at all. Is it funny to make remarks about having sex with underage people? Is it funny making remarks about yourself as a human being wanting to have sex with someone underage?
According to Jimmy Urine it is: on both occasions I have seen MSI he has made remarks about wanting sexual intercourse with underage people. It's honestly not funny for an adult to make a stupid remark like that. Keep in mind this is a 14-year-old boy messaging you, the age group he was trying to impress with such a comment. So just a word of warning: If you want to be hurt, covered in toothpaste and be subjected to a shit band and shit banter then go and see Mindless Self Indulgence. If not then don't waste your time and money on such a shit band.

gnothi seauton said...

Miss T, hello.

See what I mean, although it's not as well written as I remembered it :\

MissTottenham said...

Hi GS! How are you today?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'm really not looking forward to seeing them at the MCR show. I just hope they don't use that kind of language in front of the kids there.

sdock10 said...

Hi Guys,

Have either of you ever listened to MSI? I never have. Just wondering what you guys think of their music aside from the lyrics and bad taste etc. etc.

MissTottenham said...

Hi sdock10, how are you?

I've never taken the time to listen to MSI for two reasons.

1) I only heard about them cos of the Gerard thing. I refuse to give them the attention they want because of this asocciation.

2) Once someone printed those filthy lyrics, I wanted to listen to them even less.

At the MCR gig, I'm gonna do my best to blank them. They don't deserve my attention.

sdock10 said...

Yeah, I had heard from someone else that they were pretty hard to listen to. I just gave them a quick listen on Yahoo music .........and well, it's just not my cup of tea that's for sure.

Oh well, oh well...I just hope the guys put on a great show at home in front of the Bon Jovi crowd.

MissTottenham said...

Yeah, although I do find BJ cringy. I can't hear their name without picturing those 80's hairdo's. Those kind of bands didn't really do anything for me. I was a Queen girl myself.

gnothi seauton said...

Sdock,Hi, sorry I went wandering for a bit.

I am actually one of the few people here who doesn't have a problem with them, mainly because I listen to punk a lot and it can be used to get people talking about an uncomfortable subject merely by the shock value in lyrics.

I'm not saying that is the case with MSI as I have never heard them but I listen to a lot of Gallows and their lyrics are appalling but drawn from real life, eg

If I offer to buy you a drink
Trust me when I say it is non - alchoholic
I want you to wake up and remember my name
When you're wiping my cum of your fucking face

Really crass lyrics, but written as a reflection of some male attitudes to women and not a personal viewpoint.

Many apologies if I have offended anyone with those lyrics.

gnothi seauton said...

Apologies, I forgot my manners.

Good evening Mayo.

MissTottenham said...

Yeah GS, but it's OK for adults to be taking crass about other adults. MSI talk about kids which is unforgivable.

My idea of punk is having something to say and being able to argue your point well. What the hell do MSI have to say. They are just plain stupid. Punk is having a statement and delivering it with attitude. MSI are just pure shock value and to me that is not punk it's pathetic.

MissTottenham said...

Yeah, Good evening Mayo!

I always forget my manners, I just get straight into the convos. I'm too engrossed.

Original Punk J said...

hey y'all! me again. L. and I went to four different Projekt Rev shows this summer and purposely did NOT watch MSI. At one show, we watched almost everyone leading up to MSI, but we beat a very hasty retreat before they showed up.

I decided to listen to some of MSI's music at Borders one day. Oh my lands. It sounded like Devo strangling a cat. Actually, Devo would've sounded better strangling a cat. These people SUCK, plain and simple. I don't know how they got a record deal.

This doesn't have anything to do with G's marriage to Lyn-Z. MSI is just hideous. They were hideous waaaaaay before Gerard met her, and I'm sure they'll continue to be hideous long after this.

We met a couple girls at the Chicago show, and they asked us if we liked MSI. L. said, "Oh my, no. I'd rather have my eyes plucked out with a shrimp fork."

So there you go.

J.

MissTottenham said...

Ha J!

After reading the song lyrics, I don't care what they sound like. I don't wanna give them the time of day.

But with your glowing reference to their music, I'll definitely take a wide berth now.

Listen to MSI, I'd rather be dissembowelled and garroted with my own intestines thanks.

Loli Lovette said...

Not all anon's bitch and complain.

No, I know, I said Anons who bitch and complain. Sorry if you took it the wrong way, it was only meant to be malicious to those anons who do bitch and complain.

Original Punk J said...

Miss T:

Don't believe we've ever spoken directly; how are you? L. and I agree totally with your description of "punk". "Punk" is an attitude, not a way of behaving. To be a punk means you challenge authority when it's necessary, you want to make a difference in society, you stand up for what you believe in no matter what. There's a huge difference between punk bands and shock bands. Punkers challenge you to think, while shockers just want to push your buttons.

J.

gnothi seauton said...

I'll have to see if I can find some of their work to listen to.

Miss T - can that not mean that they are bringing peoples attention to these despicable acts by writing about it ? Perhaps I am just being naive.

OP's - thankyou for your input.

MissTottenham said...

Hello Original punks! How are you?

I don't believe we've spoken directly.

I agree with you exactly. How can you be punk if you have nothing worthwhile to say. That is what being a punk is about. You don't qualify just because you have a way out hairdo and like loud guitars. To purely go for shock tactics is just purile.

GS, I understand what you mean. It would be OK if they were trying to highlight something bad that needed to be changed. But as that 14 year old said, Jimmy Urine was saying he wanted to do those things, not denouncing those things.

Don't get me wrong GS, if you enjoy them, good for you. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same. Also no-one has to justify why they like something. I've nver thought of you as naive in anyway my Mayo convo chum.

gnothi seauton said...

Miss T

I've just been on a lyrics page and heard some tracks.

Can't say I'm overly impressed.

Aside from the track describing the underage sex etc the other tracks seem to focus mainly on drugs and dicks, but written without any structure or rhythm ( in my humble opinion ).

The music is fair; upbeat and lively.

I concur that if Jimmy Urine is applauding those actions then he is indeed a sick fuck.

And thankyou for your kind words Miss T :)

Original Punk J said...

Pretty good, Miss. T. This is L. now, J. is eating lunch and I have dragged myself off the couch for a bit. Feeling a little better, still not up to speed, but better.

How's it going on your side of the pond? I don't know if we asked what area of the U.K. you are from. I spent a week in London this past April, (one of the days in Wales) and loved it.

But heck, if they want to give us a new album this soon than bring it on.

Original Punk J said...

Thanks, Miss T. Slowly but surely...

I had wanted to go to England since I was a little girl and finally had the chance this past spring. My ancestory is part Cherokee, part Welsh and a bit of Dutch and Irish, but mainly Welsh.

We took the train to Cardiff and spent the day there at the bay, and I looked up a few things in the library for the family tree.

It seemed so COLD to me though, I guess, being from the South, you get used to warm weather, and we were freezing that day, but the locals were explaining that it pretty warm to them. Same in London. It was 77 degrees and we were fine, but the locals were talking about the heat. :)

Since we were talking about tatoos earlier, I have thought off and on about getting one, and finally decided I will eventually have one on my shoulder blade of a dragon and eagle facing each other, wings raised, wrapped in an infinity band with the Gemini sign between them. I want something I know I would want to have on me forever, and this would represent my heritage, plus astrological sign.

L.

gnothi seauton said...

Talking of which, that's not a little dig at a certain someones girlfriend is it Mr. Way ?

gnothi seauton said...

Hello L, I hope you don't mind me butting in the conversation.

Welsh blood as well!

MissTottenham said...

Original punks, Wales does tend to be a little windy because it is stuck on the side of England.

A dragon would be great. The welsh dragon is a beautiful emblem. I've only got a little tattoo of a dolphin. I love dolphins. I've wanted another for years and I want to have some heiroglyphs but I really can't decide on the phrase.

I'm glad you got over to our part of the world. The countryside is stunning.

It's the first post right now entitle 10/24/07 at Maxwell's. So, for those of you wanting it, go for it!

I know I'm not the only one that grinned through that entire recap. I started tearing up when she was talking about Mikey and the smile he was wearing. It made me think that everything was okay. The part the author detailed about Gerard's grandmother being there at the Maxwell's show five years ago, standing next to that speaker and whatnot, I was crying for some reason. I just the emotion that must have been there last night, due in part to that, and just the atmosphere and to having all of the guys back and just having a good time. It just hit me for some reason.

So glad Frank was in love with all of them last night. The camaraderie that must have been displayed between all of them makes me beam with happiness.

Talk to you all later!

Spill the gossip GS.

gnothi seauton said...

Miss T,

Did you check out the real name of The Rumour?

Also the name of the girlfriend of a certain little dirty Jesus man ;)

Original Punk J said...

GS, not at all!

I have it from both sides of my Dad's parents. That's also where the Cherokee comes from. My Mum is Dutch/irish. So I have this strange combo of fair skin, dark brown hair with a hint of red and REALLY dark brown eyes with flecks of green. My brother got the dark skin of the Cherokee side, but my sister and I got the really fair skin.

L.

gnothi seauton said...

Same spelling as well if I'm not mistaken ;)

MissTottenham said...

Sorry GS, that must have passed me by. You'll have to spell it out like I'm thick.

Anonymous said...

Talking of names Mayo, I'm LOVING The Rumour.

Talking of which, that's not a little dig at a certain someones girlfriend is it Mr. Way ?

I'm confused by both of these comments, what did I miss?

gnothi seauton said...

Hiya L,

You sound lovely. And remember we are referred to as ' pale but interesting ' :)

gnothi seauton said...

Miss T and Anonymous - Berts girlfiend :D

And the comment about LOVING the name is personal, RW will get it when she comes on.

MissTottenham said...

Arrrrgggggghhhhhh, I need more that that GS, OK spare me the personal part if you want but what was the rumor, what is the name of bert's girlfriend, I haven't heard of this and don't know what's going on. Help.

Original Punk J said...

Miss T.,

I loved it! We saw lots of the countryside on the train. Lots of sheep too. Not sure if Shaun was there...

It was VERY windy the day we were in Cardiff, but it was a beautiful place. The Welsh Dragon is the one I am using in my tatoo. Heiroglyphs would make a great tatoo. Have you bounced around any phrases so far?

We stayed at the Thistle Victoria Hotel in London, so we were right at the tube, which made getting around so much easier. I think we crammed about a months worth of sightseeing into one week.

We saw the play "Equus" in the West End one night and took the Jack the Ripper walk one of the other nights.

L.

Original Punk J said...

Thank you, GS. Yes, pale, but always interesting...

J. is also very fair skin. She is part German, part Irish. We took sunblock to Proj Rev that was SPF 70, the only way we did not cook to a crisp. When we met the band in Charlotte, we hadn't intended to get an autograph, so I got the sunblock bottle out of my backpack and had them sign it. Probably on of the strangest things they have ever been asked to sign...

L.

MissTottenham said...

Oh L, I've always wanted to do the Jack the Ripper walk but whoever I happen to be in London with always po po's it.

Yeah, the countryside is beautiful. No shaun eh? That's a shame.

Have you been in the London Dungeon? I love that place.

gnothi seauton said...

The Rumour - TUA character - written about in a post way up there somewhere - hang on - farawaysoclose 7.29pm - her real name is Allison, which is also the name of Bert McCracken's girlfriend , same spelling as well.

Check out the description of her.

Nothing mysterious about it, I was just babbling :D

MissTottenham said...

Thanks GS, I'd skimmed past that cos there were too many comments to catch up on.

Original punks L, regarding an egyptian phrase. I was thinking Ka nefer which means beautiful soul.

gnothi seauton said...

L, I'm sure they've seen it all!

Original Punk J said...

Miss T.,

I wanted to do the London Dungeon but we ran out of time. J. wants to go to Italy soon (has since she was a child) and we will probably spend a bit more time in London on the way there or back.

You HAVE to go on the JTR walk next time you are in London. The guide really knew his history, and he took us around to 3 of the murder sites and gave us the background on each. The walk started at 7:30 from Tower Hill and was done by about 9:30. Not badly priced either. About 6 pounds I think.

L.

dei gratia said...

Hi Guys, evening Mayo!

How are we all?
Anything exciting going on?

Original Punk J said...

GS,

True! No telling what ELSE they've been asked to sign. We stuck with the sunblock and notepad, though. :)

L.

MissTottenham said...

That's cool L,

I'm a bit of a Jack the Ripper expert myself, got all the books.

I hope you enjoy Italy, I've never been myself but I do fancy it.

I'll definitely do the walk next time. I'd love to do it in the winter when it's all dark. I bet it adds to the atmosphere.

Original Punk J said...

Hey, DG! Good afternoon/evening to you.

L.

MissTottenham said...

Hi DG, how the hell are you?

dei gratia said...

Hi L, nice to speak to you, don't think we've properly met before!
It's evening here, i'm english,too!

Misst
I used to obsessed with Jack too......my vote goes with Francis Tumblety!

Original Punk J said...

Miss T., I like the "Beautiful Soul" phrase. I'm sure it would be gorgeous.

Got to go for now, J. or I will talk later. Or if you are extra lucky...BOTH! or unfortunate, not sure which...)

Love,
L.

gnothi seauton said...

Hi DG, how the devil are you?

dei gratia said...

Hi GS, good thanks!

Slightly miffed that my internet banking keeps kicking me out......how will I transfer my millions now?!?! Oh, well!

Will ring and complain that they are missing tomorrow!

gnothi seauton said...

Oh the pressure must be terrible for you!

MissTottenham said...

See you later L.

Yeah DG, Mr Tumblety does seem like a very convincing suspect. What do you think about James Maybrick?

dei gratia said...

Yeah, well!

Hopefully they will refund, ha ha!
Charge me , more like... we're not on good terms!

So, what's been going on?

The reviews sound ok!

dei gratia said...

Yeah, he's a close contender too!
It's the Tumblety penchent for lady part trophy keeping and fake doctoring that swings it for me. And a good helping of gut feeling!

MissTottenham said...

I agree DG. He does sound a more likely nutter. The jack the ripper diary is an interesting read though.

ergoproxy said...

Hi all !

oh to whoever said about sci fi geeks.
loooooove Dr Who, esp the christmas episodes.

LOooooooove Terry Pratchett , especially Death - "WHO CRACKS ME UP"

and Robert Rankin

dei gratia said...

It's fascinating. Did you see the programme where Vic Reeves investigates it, seems he loves it too!
He goes with FT.

gnothi seauton said...

Hi Ergo, Dr Who was me.

And when Death stuck the robin to the card in The Hogfather ... oh my sainted aunt, he cracks me up!

dei gratia said...

Hi, ergoproxy!
You ok?

MissTottenham said...

Jack The Ripper and Vic Reeves, my favourite combination.

ergoproxy said...

yes good thanks DG, had a good sleep last night, unlike the previous (insomnia gets me sometimes).

GS wouldn't you love to be Deaths daughter.

have you read Good Omens TP wroTe with Neil Gaiman?

JTR is a fascinating subject. I recently read that book the woman crime author did (can't think of her name)

gnothi seauton said...

I've only read a few TP books and I know very little about JTR.

Can't really join in, sorry.

Anonymous said...

i found pics of the maxwell's show http://flickr.com/photos/truejerseygirl/1748055609

gnothi seauton said...

What was Death's daughters name again?

gnothi seauton said...

I mean daughter's.

Apostrophe GS.

Was it Susan?

gnothi seauton said...

Was just wandering and word on the street is that Gerard is doing an Umbrella Academy signing at Forbidden Planet on the 14th of November.

Just passing on the info.

Anonymous said...

GS i think it is Susan, I love how she can do the death voice, and suddenly speaks in capitals.

I think I've read all his books, the kids ones too, he is so funny. You must read more of them.

MissTottenham said...

Hey GS, is anything happening at the Sheffield branch.

Anonymous said...

I love the one with Mikey and Gerard.
Wow, the stage seems so small, and very low to the ground

gnothi seauton said...

Thanks Ergo.

Yes I should go back and read some more.

I'm slowly ploughing through a pile of books from the church car boot sale. The vicar Sam won't let me pass his stall until I buy at least 3 books!

These churchy types aren't as mild mannered as they'd like you to believe!!

capture this void said...

Hello everyone.

Thank you for the pictures anonymous. I just read 2 reviews for that show. I'm happy to hear that fans had a good time, considering everything that went down on PR. It's a nice change.

The picture of Mikey and Gerard looking right at each other just warms my heart.

Currently waiting for some pictures of Ray and Bob. Those two need some love.

gnothi seauton said...

Sorry Miss T, London only I believe.

gnothi seauton said...

Hi CTV.

Thanks for the pictures Anonymous.

dei gratia said...

Catch you later, guys! (and Mayo, of course!)

Up early again, tomorrow!

Take Care!

MissTottenham said...

Sweet dreams DG.

ergoproxy said...

Currently waiting for some pictures of Ray and Bob. Those two need some love.

oh they do. I love Bob, he looks so sweet, like a teddy. (he'd probably hate that)
and Ray....well...need I say more?

gnothi seauton said...

With regards to the Maxwell's show, I think the picture evidence and the rave reviews are indicative of the fact that they are still able to be the band we love.

Down and dirty with the fans, up close and personal with passion and fire.

Go back underground and find yourselves again, we'll still be here.

It's good to have you back home guys!

Anonymous said...

and despite the fact that it was said to be a great show, people are still bitching about things. You can never please human beings can you?

Seriously, there is always those few couple that are going to complain things were not "good enough" in every condition

gnothi seauton said...

Something bitchy in here Anon?

Or was this elsewhere?

Anonymous said...

Elsewhere, everyone in here is fine and dandy =)
But these people seriously need to shut the fuck up, its annoying

capture this void said...

Hello gnothi seauton. How are you?

Bob's hair has grown a lot. I don't think he's cut it for well over a year now. I hope he doesn't. I love how it goes all over the place when he's playing the drums.

gnothi seauton said...

Can't please all the people all the time, it's a waste of energy to even try.

You've just got to breathe in the love and spit out the hate maaaan!

gnothi seauton said...

You spelt my name right!

You and AIP are like my bestest friends ^-^

Anonymous said...

Yeah, i know you cant please people but no joke, these people cant be pleased no matter what happens. Even if you pull a magical unicorn out of your ass, they wont be pleased.

Eh, thats just what comes with life i guess.

So all the money for that show went to a Cancer organization right? or was it something else

gnothi seauton said...

Yes I believe it was for cancer charities.

MissTottenham said...

Well, I'm off to bed now.

Goodnight everyone, enjoy the rest of the evening.

toujours said...

hey everyone!

so, bon jovi tonight, eh? i wonder what time our boys go on stage?

gnothi seauton said...

Night Miss T.

gnothi seauton said...

Oh surely we'll get some footage of tonight's show.

We need some live action all you youtubers out there in the ether.

gnothi seauton said...

Hi Toujours.

toujours said...

hi there gnothi seauton -- the problem with the youtubes is, of course, the singing along.

*sigh*

(bye miss t! *roger*)

Hypothetical situation for you all. I hope this will make you laugh and make you think because its in jest.

Mayo is Gerard Way. Only problem is he can never keep a relationship because he doesn't know how. He knows in a few months he's going to pull the plug on Lyn Z, probably over the phone or some other pussy way. Hopefully she gets all his money......

Meanwhile Gerard can't go as a single adult for more than two minutes, so he's already scoping out his next hit. Off this blog, who does he pick?

sdock10? Small, fragile like he is, sad. Well endowed and probably very hot. They have some of the same ways of thinking or feeling, it could work.

Sister Midnite? She is wise and older than he is. Experienced. Could teach him a thing or two about how to handle a REAL woman. And she seems to have a soft side.

Bleeding Chaos? Gerard lives on the sympathy of others and BC has plenty of sympathy for him. She would probably give him a lot of attention which he needs in order to feel alive.

Kapunua? Gerard is an emo pussy and she is some kind of ninja. She'd spank him and make him call her Mistress and he would probably love it. But she might kill him on accident.

Smoke&Venom? Very wordly, and Gerard did once say he is intrigued by hair. Smoke&Venom says she has great hair.

Original Punks? Older, willing and offering. On the other hand, Gerard doesn't even know how to handle one woman, how would he handle two. They would probably get mad at him and leave.

Open to more suggestions.

okay, here is part of the new song they performed

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=papzuw6FYAA

I cant really use my speakers so all you folks tell me how it sounds

I could only hear a little bit, my speakers are all busted up, but the small part i heard i liked XD

gnothi seauton said...

Miss T - older and wiser also but she'd kick his arse for all his wolf in sheeps clothing comments ( she's got a bit of a thing for Shaun the Sheep! )

How's about Mustardisbetter - could make a good condiment combo.Cool and hot mixed together!

Anonymous said...

ANON @ 5: 28

How do you know if Gerard will pull the plug on Lyndz?

What if she woops his ass?

Maybe thats what he needs, someone to walk out on him.

Anonymous said...

=( Uhh, just when i thought good subjects were going to be discussed people go back to that subject.
No offense and all but i hate the Lyn-z/Gerard topic, sometimes i would like it if for one day we didn't mention her or relationships in genera. Eh, but whatever

anima said...

Hi Everyone!

The new songs sounds really really good! (quality not good of course)

Thank you Anon for posting. You are very sweet.
