English Paneling

1-4

This is how I will suffocate,
in your adoration.
Hands cover my mouth
while I keep my resolution.
I put my fingers in my ears,
and disappear
before you
tell me, tell me
you love me.

5

Desolate Bungalow

Gravity Paper

Ink Wired

Numb

Perpetual Absence

Unhinged Focus

Lost Wax

Done

6-9

Days, dry as dirt
kicked up in heels,
catch in my throat.
I want them back.
Tomorrow, better yet-
today, I will stop
rushing away. The distance
between here and the deserted
has been
forgotten.
Washed up,
I am ready to devour those days.

10-13

I am dead in a box in the center of the room talking to everyone or no one can hear me or they neglect to listen because I do not say what they want to hear or I make no sense to anyone but myself because I am only speaking to someone a million miles away from where I am at present they cannot hear me or I make no sense.

14-17

I am out of corks
with a barrel full of holes.
The relief will not stop;
resentment pouring and filling
the cracks in the walls,
plaster caked in puke green,
painted over in pink
for all the world to see.

I like it Welshie. It's fun. :)

What was your favorite album release of 2010?

ergoproxy said...

I have welshie and I really like it, it's different to their others.

Not sure whether I can be arsed to listen if I'm honest.

If you can't be arsed, you can't be arsed! At least you're being honest about it. ;)

re: releases of 2010, I'm not a good person to ask, I have only bought one album which is a 2010 release.

sdock10 said...

Hi Anon(s), Hi Welshie, Hi Ergo! Just wanted to jump in and say that my favorite release of 2010 has been Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Beat The Devil's Tattoo" and damnit, I can never pick just one, Semi Precious Weapons' "You Love You".

Regarding MCR, Welshie, I totally understand how you feel about all the merch and the whole Killjoys thing. I really had my doubts about this record, but I've been pleasantly surprised. Even some of the songs that I didn't think I would like are now my favorites, like Scarecrow and Destroya.

ergoproxy said...

I didn't buy any merch, mainly because postage is a killer and I'm saving my $ for Muse merch at the concert. I wouldn't mind one of the spider tees though.

sdock10 said...

Ergo, I was quite proud of myself. I didn't sucker up and buy the rayguns and boxed set thing like I normally would, and, I have yet to buy a tshirt. That's awesome for me b/c I usually think I have to have all that crap.

Welshie said...

You know anon I can't see the point of saying you like something just for the sake of it.
I think Ergo hit the nail on the head. It's different to what I expected. It's not MCR's fault that I don't like it, if they're happy with the album then so be it. I really hope the album does well for them.
I just seem to have lost interest in the band you know. Maybe's it's because they've been away so long. Don't know.

I've been listening to a lot of Welsh rock bands recently. Some are good, some not so good, but I do like to support them.

sdock10 said...

Welshie, I played the record for my 14 yr old cousin today and she was like, "wow, that's ummm different. It doesn't sound like MCR. It's like they're going pop!" So, I don't think you're alone in how you feel about the new stuff.

ergoproxy said...

welshie people like what they like, it's not up to anyone else.
I never look for approval for my musical tastes, gosh if I mention any bands amongst my friends it's "Who?" lol
Most of them love country music, where it makes me cringe, but their taste isn't an issue for me and I doubt if mine is an issue for them, and if it was I wouldn't care anyway!

Welshie said...

I'm glad you both understand how I feel. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone who likes it. Like you say Ergo, you like what you like. I was looking forward to hearing the new album but as soon as I heard the Nanana song I just wanted to hit my head against a wall!!
None of my friends are fans of MCR. Most have never heard of them. One even thought MCR was a vaccine!! I said, that's MMR silly!!

ergoproxy said...

hahahaha that's a classic welshie!

Nanana is different to all the other songs too, it's a very musically varied album. There was a listening thing of the album on youtube that Dr Deathdefying did, I think it's still on MCR's site, that way you could have a listen without any outlay.

Welshie said...

Do you know what Ergo I think I might do that. Not tonight though cos it's late here. It is unfair of me to pass judgement on an album when I've only listened to a few songs. I have liked their previous albums so I think they deserve that.
I'm just the same when I'm watching a film. If I don't like the first 10 minutes then I switch it off! Bloody bad habit of mine.

When are you going to see Muse Ergo? You excited?

ergoproxy said...

In about a week welshie, and I am totally excited!!!
Hubby and Baby girl are coming too, first real full on rock concert for both of them.
First rock thing hubby ever went to was when I took him to see Silverchair and Powderfinger at the showgrounds a couple of years ago.
They are going to be blown away!

Hubby liked country as well as a bit of rock like INXS and Def Leppard, now I have him loving Muse, MCR, Killers lol
I haz indoctrinated them!

Welshie said...

Hey you're going to have an absolute blast Ergo! I am so jealous! You'll have to tell me all about it:)

It's 1 a.m. so I'll be off to bed now. It's been brilliant talking to you Ergo, Sdock and anon.

Ohhh... MUSE! I saw them at VOODOO, ya'll know.

I believe I have posted my thoughts (and some videos) about them. Sounded great, too much going on with the stage though (in my opinion).

Daniel, Bre's boyfriend, was very impressed with my MUSE photos though. I did manage to resize a few of them; but, haven't had the time to upload them to my photobucket or flickr.

I'll do that sooner or later!

Speaking of Bre's boyfriend, Daniel; check out some of his dad's work!

The website is still under construction; but, the work he has posted is absolutely gorgeous!

~~ART from the HEART by Miguelito Iglesias!~~

I, simply, can not say enough good things about the young man my beautiful niece has chosen. Daniel happens to be one of the most beautiful young men... one of the most beautiful human beings... I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

That niece of mine has chosen EXTREMELY well! (I'm so damn proud of her... a future educator!)
Yes, she has finally decided on an officially, official major. And, TEACHER it is!

Anyway, I hope you all had a most excellent day and had/have many things to be grateful/thankful for!

Take care, everyone! Hold those you love and those who have been there for you and supported you near and dear! They are rarer than you may think.

Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~

PS: Thanks to my Sweetcheeks, Martha, L and J for sending prayers/good vibes to my sister who goes in for surgery/biopsy on Monday and my mother who is having a very difficult "winter" already.

*huge hugs for you all*

We won't even get into my brother in law's surgery that is coming up on January 5th. Nope. At least not until we make it past my sister's surgery and results and get my mother through Christmas without being hospitalized...

I'm determined. I am!

PPS: Hello to Sdock!!! I hope you and yours are all well and good!

Welshie: I think MCR's new album is very good. I mean, how can it not be with Meat Loaf's drummer layin' down those drum tracks?!

;P

Sure, it's not the DEBUTED at # 7 on the HARD ROCK BILLBOARD charts that is CRADLE OF FILTH's new album "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa"

That Dani Filth sure does love that Latin, doesn't he?!

*please excuse me whilst I:

Mayo

I hope your Thanksgiving was spent surrounded by loved ones.

We had dinner at my mom’s. I will admit I wasn’t looking forward to the dinner because to be honest some of our most recent family dinners have turned into something that resembles a Springer show. That’s what happens when you’ve got three daughters that close in age, drama on high alert. But today’s dinner was different… it was nice. No yelling, no arguments over who was wear who’s clothes, who said what to who, ect. We just gathered around the table, my mom, me, Mr. E the daughters and two boyfriends. There was pleasant conversation, laughing, and lots of smiles. I found myself thinking I’d sat down for dinner at the wrong house. I felt like strangers surrounded me. Okay maybe part of the weird vibe I got was because I’m pretty damn sure the two boyfriends will eventually be joining the family as son-in-laws. God, that thought just freaks me out. Not that I don’t like them because I like both of them very much. I just can’t imagine my girls married. So maybe that’s why I felt so strange. All I do know is that after dinner I was driving home and on the way burst into tears. Poor Mr. E was confused to say the least. I rarely cry in front of him and to suddenly just burst into tears freaked him the fuck out. He wanted to know if something had happened. How the hell could I explain to him that I was crying because it had all been so nice? I tried, it came out sounding stupid and I suppose it is stupid. I should be happy we had a nice Thanksgiving and I am. I guess this all goes back to me not dealing well with change. And now as I sit here writing this I’m crying again. God I’m a dumbass at times. But I was just remembering what Thanksgiving night used to be like here. The girls and I would all gather together on the floor in the family room and map out our plan for tomorrow. We always went shopping on the day after Thanksgiving with usually meant getting up at 4 am. We made lists of what stores we’d hit and what they were offering for the big sales. But now that is just a memory. I’m here, Mr. E is at work and they are at their homes. Yeah, they grew up and I just need to deal. I’m such a mess sometimes and this is one of them. And yeah I probably said the same thing last Thanksgiving night. Maybe this is my new tradition but I hope not.

Okay, pity party must come to an end.

Mayo, as I said I hope your day was spent surrounded by your loved ones. I hope you smiled, laughed and made some wonderful memories.

Because memories are wonderful things to make. They just can sometimes be a bit painful to remember; bittersweet I guess is what I mean. Hell, I don’t know what I mean.

Take care

Night Mayo

I love the way you describe your family get togethers Elena. Your girls are growing up and I honestly think they'll get much closer now. Being one of three girls myself I can honestly say that we never argued. Having said that our circumstances were very different.

I love to read your memories of your girls. The things you used to do together. I try and picture you all together having a good time. Like you said memories are wonderful things but for me most of the time they're just too painful.

You're a good mum Elena.

Little angel's fast asleep on the sofa:)

One slightly deformed snowman in my garden:) He's not very tall anon, but at least he's taller than Rees, so he's happy.
We stood back to admire our work and I asked him what he wanted to name the snowman and he said "I don't like Bob Noogle". I said "Who's Bob Noogle, is he on the telly?", thinking he meant a cartoon character. He said "No, Boooob Nooogle, I don't like it!" Turns out he meant Pot Noodle. I mean why would he think of Pot Noodle when thinking up a name for a snowman!! Anyway eventually he named him Hubert. Hubert the snowman!!

We've written a letter to Santa. He's told me word for word what to write, hang on I'll translate it. you ready?

"Hello Santa. Are you cold? cos I'm cold and the snowman is cold and my feet are cold but my hands are not cold cos I have my gloves. Can I please have a present. I'm a good boy cos I eat tomatoes now. I like Rudolph. Thank you Santa. Rees, aged 3"

"P.S. Santa can you please leave a TomTom for the woodcleaning anon so that they can find their way home from Youtube land. Thank you Santa. Welshie xx"

Look out for a special present in your stocking on christmas morning woodcleaning anon:)

Hiya guys, how are you all?

First off can I say that I hope all you guys on the other side of the pond had a fantastic Thanksgiving.

MissT: Yes, those glorious colors did come from my nose. I don't even want to think about the colors I was coughing up! Ewwwww. Just, EWWWW!

I do so miss the "snot and mucus" talks we used to have. LOL!!!! Not to mention the BLOOD!

LOL those were the days *looks wistfully into the distance*

Talking about panelling. My dad's brother lives in a house that was built in 1589. It's been in our family for years. Anyway they decided to strip back the walls to the original wood panels. It looks absolutely beautiful. The rooms are quite dark though cos the windows are so small. They also took out the fireplace and hidden in the corner was about 30 childrens shoes. Apparently it was meant to ward off evil spirits.
I love that house, love it.

Welshie, i love old things and all the quirky old ways. It's fascinating.

Hiya Solly sweetie, great to see you here.

Well, I'm working this wekeend (boo) so i'm gonna skidaddle off to bed now.

They're forcasting a good 10 inches over the weekend. Oo-er missus. Promises, promises!!!

Everyone burst out laughing and she had no idea why!!

Damn shame you can't get to the rugby, there is no chance at all?
What a really buggering bugger of a letdown.

We were umming and arring about going to Cardiff all morning, but it's a 4 hour drive see. I called a friend who lives about 20 miles outside Cardiff and apparently the roads there are a bloody nightmare. Anyway me and a couple of friends have decided to go to the local pub for lunch and stay there to watch the rugby match. It's a pain in the arse but what can you do eh?

Hahaha 5:03 you're not the only one mate!!!

By the way everyone's welcome to click on the link I left. My uncle's house is similar to this but on a smaller scale.

Must dash.

Hi Mayo,

I always read this post backwards. I get stuck on Gravity Paper for whatever reason, and when I get to the "tell me, tell me you love me" part, I sing it. But you know me, everything is a song, was a song, could be a song, should be a song, or would be a song if only someone would write it for me.

I've never written a song, Mayo. Why is that? I love music, right? Then why can't I write a ever loving motherfucking song? Is it because I'm uninspired? Is it because I'm not creative enough? Is it because I'm not music-y enough? Or is it because I've always been better at singing other people's songs?

It can't be because I'm scared. Fear is boring and useless and a waste of time. Why? Why? Why? Why?

Can't I?

Write a song?

I suppose.
I'll never know.
If I don't get off my ass and try, try, try, try

Should I?

Write my song.

Oh well, oh hell, oh who can tell anymore?

Maybe Almost Always,
S

p.s. better, not great or good by any stretch of your misimagination

I. THE BURIAL OF THE DEAD

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
Winter kept us warm, covering 5
Earth in forgetful snow, feeding
A little life with dried tubers.
Summer surprised us, coming over the Starnbergersee
With a shower of rain; we stopped in the colonnade,
And went on in sunlight, into the Hofgarten, 10
And drank coffee, and talked for an hour.
Bin gar keine Russin, stamm' aus Litauen, echt deutsch.
And when we were children, staying at the archduke's,
My cousin's, he took me out on a sled,
And I was frightened. He said, Marie, 15
Marie, hold on tight. And down we went.
In the mountains, there you feel free.
I read, much of the night, and go south in the winter.

What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man, 20
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock, 25
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust. 30
Frisch weht der Wind
Der Heimat zu.
Mein Irisch Kind,
Wo weilest du?
'You gave me hyacinths first a year ago; 35
'They called me the hyacinth girl.'
—Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden,
Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not
Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither
Living nor dead, and I knew nothing, 40
Looking into the heart of light, the silence.
Od' und leer das Meer.

Madame Sosostris, famous clairvoyante,
Had a bad cold, nevertheless
Is known to be the wisest woman in Europe, 45
With a wicked pack of cards. Here, said she,
Is your card, the drowned Phoenician Sailor,
(Those are pearls that were his eyes. Look!)
Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations. 50
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card,
Which is blank, is something he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water. 55
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself:
One must be so careful these days.

Unreal City, 60
Under the brown fog of a winter dawn,
A crowd flowed over London Bridge, so many,
I had not thought death had undone so many.
Sighs, short and infrequent, were exhaled,
And each man fixed his eyes before his feet. 65
Flowed up the hill and down King William Street,
To where Saint Mary Woolnoth kept the hours
With a dead sound on the final stroke of nine.
There I saw one I knew, and stopped him, crying 'Stetson!
'You who were with me in the ships at Mylae! 70
'That corpse you planted last year in your garden,
'Has it begun to sprout? Will it bloom this year?
'Or has the sudden frost disturbed its bed?
'Oh keep the Dog far hence, that's friend to men,
'Or with his nails he'll dig it up again! 75
'You! hypocrite lecteur!—mon semblable,—mon frère!'

I wish I could have watched The Libertine before I saw Jack Sparrow b/c that's all I can see when Johnny Depp does his little British accent thing. It was totally Jack Sparrow that was fingering that chick, except not as hot.

Brick, I think that's the one we got. I'm not sure. But I'll most def check it out.

kapunua said...

If you ever come across Mysterious Skin, run the other way. That's not to say it was a bad movie, because it was a phenomenal movie. But it nightmare-fueled me for months. I legit could not sleep for many, many nights after seeing it. It's so filled with every imaginable horror and cruelty you can imagine. I honestly watched it from between my fingers, with my hands over my eyes.

I mean, unless you are seriously very much inured to things like this, or unless you really want the experience of seeing it--and it is actually, like I said, a brilliant film--just, UGH, don't subject yourself to it. Especially on one of those "sensitive" days.

I cried, and not in that Happy Movie Crying way. More like, fetal position I-Can't-Bear-To-Look kind of way.

sdock10 said...

Well, damn. Now you know I'm gonna have to watch it.

kapunua said...

Brick has incredible re-watching value, too. It's intriguing, well-acted, incredibly sad in some places, and ridiculously funny in other places.

And it features a 25 year old Jiggle playing a high school student, wtf. He's amazing in it, though. The dialogue rocked my world and the music was also awesome.

kapunua said...

Oh my god, Solly, don't. I mean, that's what people told me too and I was like, "Come on, now I HAVE to see it, to see what the fuss was about."

Enjoy your sleepless nights. ;D

Not even kidding, every time I closed my eyes, I saw these two specific scenes on repeat in my head-movies.

I was UNHAPPY.

kapunua said...

When y'all come up here for Jiggle's spring formal (I BELIEVE THIS WILL HAPPEN!) we need to set aside some time for the bunch of us to sit around watching Tropic Thunder and eating ice cream in heaven. :D

sdock10 said...

I'm ready to go see a really great movie at the movies. Nothing's been worth seeing since Inception. Or if it was, I can't remember. I did see that new RDJ movie, Due Date a few weeks ago and it was so just so-so. Went to see Burlesque on Thursday and we kind of mostly laughed all the way through it. My Sister, Cousin, and I have exactly the same kind of weird humor.

sdock10 said...

Heck yes it is and we will!

kapunua said...

Yo I saw Due Date last night with the Gold Dragon! We had a great time. The movie was all right. I got a few giggles out of it. Mostly it was RDJ and his priceless expressions that made it worth it.

The good movies I've seen since then are, well, Brick, Wuthering Heights, Elizabeth, RockNRolla. ;D

I haven't seen anything in the movie theater that's blown me away.

And to be honest, even Inception wasn't the mind-bendingly awesome film everyone made it out to be. It was totally nifty, and I seriously adored it, but that had more to do with the Epic Cast of Hotness and the spinning hallway scene.

Shutter Island was more intriguing, if I'm being honest with myself.

But I'm seeing Harry Potter tonight at the theater, so hopefully that will be pretty epic. ^_^

Mayo, seen any good movies lately?

kapunua said...

I was trying to be less of a movie snob, so I rented Pineapple Express a few days ago and we watched it on TG.

It was retarded.

I guess I'm still kind of a movie snob. ;)

sdock10 said...

Leo DiCaprio sure has grown up to be quite the man actor, hasn't he? I wasn't a huge fan back in his younger days, but damn, I love The Aviator, Shutter Island, Catch Me If You Can, Inception. He even made Revolutionary Road tolerable and that's got to be the most emo flick of all fucking times. He just always looks so tortured.

sdock10 said...

Awwh, I ♥ Pineapple Express, but not like Tropic Thunder. PE has never been as funny as the day that Smoke and I watched it with 2 other folks (one of which got up and walked out halfway thru) in the theatre. It just tickled the hell out of us or maybe we just needed to laugh that day.

kapunua said...

I never even heard of Revolutionary Road! I'll have to give that a whirl! Oh man, yeah he does tormented so well.

I loved loved loved him in Basketball Diaries, and then after that he kind of turned too prettified for me. He did Titanic and Romeo and Juliet and I was like WHYYYYY. I kind of shoved him under my radar for a few years.

Then he was awesome in The Departed, so I gave him another go.

I actually like him better older. It's hard to believe he's younger than I am. He looks a bit older these days. But, he's kind of rugged.

smoke said...

Leo is mah man. Just sayin'.

And hello, Mayo!*smack*

And hello, SS! *squeeze*

kapunua said...

Sometimes a movie comes along at the right time, and when I show movies like that to other people I always have to quantify it with stuff like, "Okay, I know this is stupid? But it made me laugh at Stupid O CLock!"

kapunua said...

SMOCKLES!

*glomp*

sdock10 said...

Smoke! You don't know your bloggah password do ya? LOL!

I have never seen Basketball Diaries.

It's true.

Or Harry Potter. Or Star Wars.

:D

Smoke said...

Heee!

Basketball Diaries was awesome. I loooooved that movie.

And I know I've said it a million times but my all time favorite is still American Psycho. Mainly because I get how he feels about other folks. Uhhh, I know how that makes me sound but yeah. *shifty eyes*

Smoke said...

Actually...

Smoke said...

I did finally remember it! Yay!

Smoke said...

I was just lazy. :D

sdock10 said...

American Psycho is also great because that's really Christian Bale. He's totally psycho and he can speak in an American accent at the flip of a switch.

sdock10 said...

Are you still Smokeamp;venom20? LOL!

kapunua said...

Silly,I wish you lived here so we could have epic movie nights. Then we could watch all those things and more.

Smoke, I get what you're saying about knowing how the Bad Guy feels. It's kind of like why I got obsessed with Dexter. Like, as much as I hate to see that part of myself? I can see me stocking up on plastic sheets. O_o

As far as favorite movies goes, I think mine is still The Usual Suspects. I haven't yet found a movie that's bumped that. More favorites came along after that, like Kung FU Hustle, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Quills, Advent Children and, yes, Brick I suppose. But nothing has bumped The Usual Suspects off its top spot.

Also, Shallow Grave. That might be in the #2 slot for me.

sdock10 said...

Mayo,

Smoke and I went to see Lady GaGa and we're going again! *waves extra ticket under Mayo's nose*

Wanna come?

I know you're a Lil Monstah, Mayo!

Paws up!

kapunua said...

LMFAO, SOLLY, even!

sdock10 said...

Yeah, it's like watching House. Even as silly as it's been getting lately, you watch it b/c you relate to him. We're all more like him than not probably and we all need/have a Wilson in our life.

kapunua said...

Is it just me, or does the first chord of Jiggle's Major Tom cover sound exactly like the first chord of Broken Bride? Like, to the point where at first you don't know which you're listening to?

I like Gaga, too. I haven't been to a live show in a freaking age. I think TBS was the last one. 30STm seems to hate New York for concerts anymore. >_<

Then I was supposed to go to Jiggle's fall show, and a bunch of us made movies and he even recommended one of mine! And then his adorable (and hot) brother up and died and it got canceled. :( Entirely too sad.

sdock10 said...

Silly Solly- I didn't even catch that.

kapunua said...

I wish Dr. House were real.

My Mom's got me watching Criminal Minds lately. I know you guys like that one too. That one guy is so effing hot, I can't even, I'm just like UNFF.

sdock10 said...

Jules, that was just fucking weird that you mentioned Ludo because I was going to tell Mayo that we went to see Ludo and I figured that he might not remember who they were and I was gonna ask you had you checked out their new record?

But to answer your question, yes, yes it does.

sdock10 said...

Are you talkin about Smoke's man, Dr. Spencer Reid? Or the one who looks like he was carved out of creamy milk chocolate, Morgan?

Smoke said...

OMG, I ♥ Matthew Gray Gubler. He is too freakin' adorable. :D

kapunua said...

I haven't checked it out yet! I should, one of these days, because I enjoyed the crap out of the last one.

kapunua said...

Morgan! Oh my GOD, *bangbangbang*

Dr. Reid is just a super cutie. He was in 500 Days of Summer, one of the only romcoms I ever liked because it was entirely realistic (though I hated the ending.) He was cute in that, too.

But yeah, that Morgan guy. Mmmmm.

Smoke said...

Reid is mah man, too.

Welp, gotta go, guys!

Mayo,

Can't say I've been keeping up but I do think about ya from time to time. Hope you are doing okay and are just as fabulous as I am. (Not possible, I know. ^_~)

Catchya later!

SS,

Hugs and high fives, dude. Miss ya!

sdock10 said...

It's sweet Ludo craziness! That band just makes me so happy that I can't even explain it. So thrilled that I got to see them live and actually hear some of Broken Bride in person.

Ask Smoke about being less than 10 feet from Andrew and him making scary faces at you thru the whole show! It's a trip!

kapunua said...

Same goes, same goes. We all pretty much said on Facebook, "Let's go into Mayo's and chat a bit," so here we were.

Guess a lot of time has gone by.

I should get my laundry done and the house cleaned up for tonight.

I was talking to my friends in the pub this afternoon and we've all come to the conclusion that the Welsh team don't believe that they can win you know. Good Morning

(pokes Possum right back, good to see ya)

Welshie Extreme Christmas Cakes was a show where they were making insanely huge cakes complete with fireworks and lights. One guy had Santa coming down a chimney and when his bag, which was filled with fireworks, hit the fire below it went off. Crazy stuff that took hours to make. It was fun to watch. The only cake I’ve ever made is straight out of a box. LOL Yeah I’m a just add eggs, milk and mix kinda girl.

It’s a beautiful day here but so damn windy. Right now Mr. E is chopping up huge pieces of wood and I’m gonna have to help him stack all of it soon. Not looking forward that that. But I suppose I’ll be happy we did it when it’s 3 degrees here.

Oh well, have a great day everyone.

ergoproxy said...

Elena I shall ahve to see if they put that show on here, they've had cake contest shows before. We do get Charm City Cakes, which is not bad, but I can't stand Cake Boss, he irritates me.
