It is interesting when you get a fresh perspective of yourself from a new acquaintance. Even at this reasonably accomplished age, I am still able to find myself anew.
Recently, I have been fortunate to gain the friendship of an interesting character. A smart, quick-witted, young “old chap” of a guy whose creativity and open-minded ideals speak volumes for his generation. At his age I was not nearly as wise, worldly, cultured, present, or relevant as he is. Even now his intellect far exceeds my own, and his ability to perceive others astounds me. He is very deliberate with his words, often taking what seems to me to be far too long to respond to my often off-kilter banter. But always following his reflection, he delivers an astute, provocative discourse on whatever topic I had mindlessly rambled into. Seriously, the guy can talk me under the table…and that is saying something.
And I must admit he is a bit off, as well. Regardless, or perhaps in spite of those facts, I find him very interesting.
As it goes with most new friendships there is the crush period. The time where everything about the new friend is fascinating and we often try to find a bit of ourselves in our new pal. And so my new friend has attempted to find fascination in me, and has asked for the privilege (his term, not mine) of reading some of my writing. I initially waved him off, figured he would find what he wanted or give up. But, after the third very polite request, I obliged.
It is strange; I can write for an unknown audience without fear. I can put it out there for the world to read, all of it…without a second thought. Yet when I directly hand over a few poems to my new friend, I am paralyzed.
As I said, my new friend is very perceptive. So, when I stuffed a few of my poems in his hand and continued on about the weather, he immediately detected my insecurity. He saw in my rushed speech and downcast eyes that I was nervous. And while I waited for him to speak, to interrupt my prattle, I reeled. He placed the pages face down on the table, then said “Ah yes, I see I was correct. You are an exhibitionist and shy, both.”
Which really put me to thought…what purpose am I serving with these characteristics, if characteristics do in fact serve us?
I suppose that those opposing characteristics, that in my case are so apparently extreme, benefit each other. I can only imagine that my unchecked exhibitionism would undoubtedly lead me to my depraved end, and that my need to slap the world in the face keeps me from becoming a total shut-in.
p.s. what you got in you; what it takes.

Hi Mayo.
thank you for sharing that.
nice to see you, Mayo.
hey mayo, what a wonderful surprise!
and what an interesting post, which i just read way too fast. :)
I could sit here and think about this post, give you miles of feedback, let you know what I'm thinking and feeling about what you've shared. And I've no doubt will be thinking about it, for much longer than I'd be willing to admit; but that's too close at the moment. So I will say simply, Mayo, it's lovely to see you again. Hope you are well. And thank you for sharing with them again.
hey anon, i'd love to hear what you think about the post, and i hope maybe you'll come back and share. part of the fun of mayo's blog are the discussions his entries spark. :)
but mayo, i have to say...i'm sitting here (re-reading, of course), and the initial response is to feel a little envious. all my friends are long-distance; the last time i sat down and talked face-to-face with a friend was back in september, and there seems to never be enough time to say everything. the return date always looms.
that you get to sit and talk with your new friend...i'm a little surprised to discover that makes me a wistful.
i never know what i'm going to feel after reading one of your entries. your words have unexpected effects.
i like that.
i'm really glad to see you posting again so soon. :)
BTW
How are you Mayo? Feeling well? Eating right? Taking care of yourself? Dressing warm enough with winter approaching?
my grammar is all shot to hell!
it makes me wistful...not a wistful.
hello mayo
hi TJ!
love your post Mayo
it is so true that we can usually easily reveal if we are in the company of strangers or at least a number of aquaintances, but when it is someone we feel closer to, we for some reason have second thoughts. Perhaps as we know they see us with different eyes, knowing us better. Or is it because we are drawn to others who share similarities to ourselves, and we fear they will critique us as harshly as we sometimes do ourselves?
lots to think about Mayo
hey there ergo! i was wondering where you went to!
how are you doing?
Hi, Mayo. What an interesting post. I think for many writers the almost-unassailable obstacle is the span of time between handing someone a piece of writing and waiting (through agonizing moments or minutes or months) to gauge that person's response. This happens on the net, as well, but it's more immediate when the potential critic is someone you know quite well. On the other side of that gulf, however, can be the positive reaction: admiration for the writer, joy in the writer's creation. That positive reaction can be very addictive...I think that's what brings shy people to the brink of exhibitionism and beyond...and back again. It's a cycle.
I'm sure there is a similar cycle in other creative pursuits -- just seems to me as though there are more shy exhibitionists among writers.
It may be too late in the evening for be to making much sense...thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
TJ I was thinking too, about your need for a way your two worlds formed. Maybe something along the lines of massive solar flare activity cause a wrinkle in the fabric of space and time. A wrinkle where the fabric folds over upon itself like a layer. And within that wrinkle a second world evolved.
I heard a podcast yesterday which spoke about the fact that only 5% of the hypothesised mass of the universe is visible, another 75% is the dark matter which causes the expansion, but what of the remainder? Perhaps you could use that as a basis, if the other % is actually caught in a pocket which spans a different but very close dimension?
is that any use?
I ahve so little time now it's not funny, typical mayo!!
hi there, naiad. :)
ooh, that sounds very interesting ergo, i'm definitely going to try that idea out! thank you!
Hi, TJ! Hi, Ergo! I'm afraid I'm going to be boring and head off to bed...hope you two are both doing well, though!
glad you could make it, naiad. it's always good to see you in text. *hee*
:)
have a good night!
hi VN I think you are onto something, watching and waiting for the response is the worst part, seeing their face, searching it for hints, willing them to go faster, but if they do is it becasue they started skimming? etc
I have to POQ (piss off quick) as well I have a student real soon
sweet dreams VN hope to see you again
yes I ma well :]
TJ thanks for the congrats, I'm sure they are both very happy she's here safe and sound
sweet dreams to you xx
i always want to know right away if the reader reacts to something...i'll even interrupt!
see you later ergo! thanks again for the idea, it has definite possibilities!
Glad I poked my head in for one more thing.
And I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only one who is extremely nervous about sharing bits of their art with someone else. I'm terrified whenever anyone has the inclination to see my paintings or drawings, and I'm always quick to point out my own errors and flaws.
But I love to give them away as gifts, go figure.
Have a good evening ladies and gentlemen.
good night amyranth. :)
Mayo
I think I understand this post far better then most. It is hard to let someone who really knows you see a part of yourself that is usually reserved for strangers. I can let complete strangers read what I've written without pause but hells bells when someone I know reads my stuff I freak. I start to point out things that seem wrong. I point out every flaw. I've often asked myself why I do this. But then I finally realized because what I write is important to me, it is part of me. If someone I don't know doesn't get it that's okay. But it's a whole different story if someone I consider a friend doesn't get it. Then I question myself. Maybe that is a good thing, maybe not. I think I should be happy with my own form of art and not care. But I do, I always do.
It was great to see a new post, Mayo. It was the bright spot in my day. I know we aren't really friends so I'm sure what I think about your writing doesn't really make a difference to you but I just thought you should know. I thought you might want to know.
Take care
Night Mayo

mayo,
i've kept a journal throughout my adult life; it's been a companion when i'm lonely and an amusement when i travel. no one reads it, save for myself. there are no intentional lies in it.
i call it my "mirror book" (a pretentious name from my arty-farty baby witch stage) and though i have occasionally thought about changing the name, it remains. it's a good reminder that the volumes are reflections of who i've been.
i've always tried to learn about myself, to understand my motivations and the sources of my feelings. the journal helps; re-reading old entries can be an education. but i still don't know how i appear to others, and sometimes the discrepancy between their descriptions and mine is a gulf i can't fathom.
and so i know that the reflection i see in my journal is imperfect, and clouded.
but what can you do? you can only go forward, you can only try to do your best, even when the way is murky. and when sudden insight comes, that's a gift. to understand even a tiny portion of oneself, that's a victory.
in the days before my diagnosis, i thought i had a pretty good handle on who i was. i thought i understood my strengths and my weaknesses, and was learning how to balance them.
afterwards, after that year of treatment, i liked to describe myself as a nearly-completed jigsaw puzzle that someone grabbed and tossed into the air. my knowledge of myself is always a mess now, some pieces are lost forever, and the picture changes all the time.
and i almost like it this way better than the other. i am my own wilderness. maybe my life has made the way dark and tangled and twisted, and maybe there is still a straight and shining path somewhere underneath; i don't know.
i don't know how to balance it anymore, and i don't know what purpose any of it serves. all i know is that tomorrow i have to try again.
holy crap. sorry for the essay! i'm going to say good night and take myself off to bed like a good girl, and no more rambling!
take care of yourself, mayo, and have a good night and satisfying tomorrow.
sweet dreams.
If you don't think there is magic in your writing, you probably won't write anything magical.

There's magic in your writing Mr. Naise. An honest magic. I feel privileged to be a part of your audience. Thank you.

Mayo
you know, out of all the poems I've written only some I've posted on my blog, and only a few of them have been seen by people I really, physically know. I think I have been scared to show them, pretty much because I worry that I'll disappoint, that they won't appeal to others the way they do to me. I know people on here have liked them, which makes me so very happy and grateful, but it is different to being with the person as they read. Maybe I should, when I have they've always been liked, but they are like a little piece of you, that you don't want someone to crush and even if you know they wouldn't the fear is still there, but if you don't, then do they ever get to really fulfil their potential, to maybe touch someone as they touched you?
Deep thoughts....so on the flip-side.......
A very attractive woman goes up to the bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestures alluringly to the bartender, who comes over immediately.
When he arrives, she seductively signals that he should bring his face closer to hers. When he does so, she begins to gently caress his full beard.
"Are you the manager?" she asks, softly stroking his face with both hands.
"Actually, no" the man replies. "Can you get him for me?" she asks. "I need to speak to him," she says, running her hands beyond his beard and into his hair.
"I'm afraid I can't", breathes the bartender. "Is there anything I can do?" "Yes, there is. I need you to give him a message" she continues huskily, popping a couple of fingers into his mouth and allowing him to suck them gently.
"What should I tell him?" the bartender manages to say.
"Tell him", she whispers, "There is no toilet paper or hand soap in the woman's room."

A couple of women were playing golf one sunny Saturday morning. The first of the twosome teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole.
Indeed, the ball hit one of the men, and he immediately clasped his hands together at his crotch, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in evident agony.
The woman rushed down to the man and immediately began to apologize. She said, "Please allow me to help. I'm a physical therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd allow."
"Ummph, oooh, nnooo, I'll be all right...I'll be fine in a few minutes," he replied breathlessly as he remained in the fetal position still clasping his hands together at his crotch.
But she persisted, and he finally allowed her to help him. She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, she loosened his pants, and she put her hands inside. She began to massage him.
She then asked him, "How does that feel?"
To which he replied, "It feels great, but my thumb still hurts like hell."

goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning ♥xx♥
Guts, nuts...you could have went either way with that.
Mayonaise, it’s nice when you make new friends. I’m happy that you’ve found a new buddy. And, especially happy that you’ve found someone who might be a challenge for you. This one sounds like they might make you grow a bit as a person. Will you show your new friend this post?
That “honeymoon” phase of a friendship is fun, interesting, and terrifying all at the same time. A new person has found something in you that has caught their eye. You feel like a shiny new penny.
But peeling back the layers and exposing yourself to somebody new is a scary proposition. You begin the masquerade dance. A peek here, a glimpse there – just a flash for intrigue. How much and how quickly do you share? How much is too much? What if you scare them off? What if you don’t scare them off? Will you have to explain things about yourself? Do you want to? Will they understand? Do you care?
Even with my blog, I’m not sharing the whole picture. I can’t strip it bare to faceless names. When I think about really opening up, I am left feeling anxious, too naked, and a bit nauseous. Behind the wall is where I prefer to hide. Behind the wall is where I scribble those words just for me.
I’ve only been able to unlock the door for two people. Ever. It was nerve-wracking giving them the key to my heart and mind. One left me, the other loves me more because of it.
In hindsight, it was the best thing I could’ve done for myself.
Thank you for sharing the words that you do.
Ps - Hey there inchless anonymous - I always love a good snow storm and several well placed inches. :)
Mayo/Carmine/Gerard/Katherine, how long before you burn this bridge and toss this friend under the bus? Pretty sure you'll use him just like you've used all the rest. And he doesn't even know it yet.
Er....you're forgetting this is a work of fiction. There is no new friend.
:**
When you kiss me Heaven sighs
still with the Mayo is Gerard bullshit
Hiya Mayo sweetie, how are you?
I'm so happy to hear you've made a new friend. I hope you both can take lots from this friendship. I wanna thank you for this place which has made me lots of friendships too.
I envy you your writing talent. Some people just have the ability to make words flow but I'm not one of them. I just gabble away.
Woohoo peeps, just wanna let you guys know that I got tix for Most Haunted live in feb. It's gonna be in Sheffield. I can't wait.
Catch you all later.
good morning!!
missT you got tickets for Most Haunted LIVE!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!!!!!
how awesome!!!!!
that is seriously so cool, I am very jealous
hope you have a lovely Wednesday
As it goes with most new friendships there is the crush period. The time where everything about the new friend is fascinating and we often try to find a bit of ourselves in our new pal.
Nice, Mayo. Are you fucking him yet? Just kidding (really). Lovely to read you, I hope all is great with you.
This new friend better not fuck up Frerard.
Mayonaise,
AH...HA moment some would say.
Admitting your vulnerabilities with or without an audience shows a certain strength that appears admirable in my view.

Hello to all. still without internet or tv in the home, so just a quick driveby. Wishing you all the best with your own audience.
There's nothing to fuck up. 'Frerard' is ancient history.
sc!!!!!
so lovely to see you drop by
hope you and yours are well and happy
take care
There's nothing/something to fuck up/down because Mayo/Gerard is/isn't Gerard/Mayo, and you/me/he/she can't/can get more/less fucked up then/than (i can never pick the write one) this place/that place.
It's than 8:15. You're welcome. :)
Also, you picked the wrong write 8:15.
You used the verb write when you should have used the adjective right.
You're welcome. :)
I know I am sadly deficient in my knowledge of the reality tv show world and the pseudo-celebrities it generates, but can someone please tell me who this Spencer and Heidi are, and possibly the unanswerable question, why do people give a rats arse about them?
I have no clue who these Heidi and Spencer people are. Don't give a large enough fraction of a rats arse to google either.
Maybe they're their the poor man's Jon and Kate minus the 8.
^while we're subtracting
subtract that their
i don't know who they are, either, ergo. but i live a rather reality-show-free life.
Hi TJ!
thanks anon, I think I'd rather google rat's arse, lol
I saw it while I was flicking tv just now, they had a go at that Al Roker? he does weather doesn't he?
I have heard them mentioned before, seem like wastes of oxygen to me
well, i recognize al roker's name, but he kinda scares me now, so i've probably unconsciously avoided any area of the tv that contains him.
so how are things going, ergo? is spring still springing?
fall is still falling, here. :)
terror as Melbourne attacked by giant seagull!!!!!
Maybe they're their the poor man's Jon and Kate minus the 8.
------------------------------------
Pretty close and just like Jon, Spencer is an absolute loser, only this time he thinks he can rap. That couple is definitely not worth talking, or thinking about.
hi there bc. :)
hi BC!
I'm really happy as my favourite science guy has answered me on twitter twice :]
Hey girls!
A love you and leave you tonight. I'm starting to see sewing notions in my dreams, therefore I didn't sleep too well last night. >_<
I heard a good joke from my Dad today, I hope you don't mind if I share!
A lady walks into a tattoo parlour and says to the artist "I want 2 tattoos. One of Paul McCartney on my left inner thigh, and one of John Lennon on my inner right thigh. Can you do it?". The tattoo artist says "Shouldn't be an issue", and gets to work.
Several hours later, he finishes, and props up a mirror between her thighs so she can take a look. The woman, however, is enraged. "That doesn't look like either of them!! Why didn't you tell me you didn't know who they were?!!?" and so on.
The artist is offended, and argues with the woman about the quality of his workmanship. Finally he says "Alright, that's enough! Let's get someone in here who is impartial to decide this for us!"
He goes out to the street, finds an old guy and brings him into the store. He motions to the lady sitting on the stool and says "Sir, tell me if you will, who the two musicians are on this lady's thighs?"
And the old man squints.
He stares, rubs his nose, and blinks.
Finally he says "You know, I have no idea who the two are on the outside, but that guy in the middle with the beard and the bad breath? That's gotta be Willie Nelson."
Have a good evening!!
good night amyranth. :)
my god, ergo! i had no idea australian birds were so huge! D:
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
sweet non-notion dreams Amy
I believe scientists at Melbourne University are working on a giant hot potato chip to toss towards New Zealand to distract it right this minute
Hi guys!
Goodnight Amy, sweet dreams.
i wish them luck, fervently! i'd hate to see that creature's migratory patterns...
eek!
oh-kay.
time to say good night!
sweet dreams everyone!
Goodnight tj, sweet dreams.
sweet dreams TJ
hows things BC?
hey mayo,
you know, i was thinking about that whole feeling-exposed-when-sharing-one's-writing thing, and i realized that it isn't too bad for me. i mean, i do feel that trepidation, but i'm more concerned with what the response will be. i am addicted to feedback. (praise me! praise me! *grin*)
no, what was truly nerve-wracking for me was having someone over for the first time, particularly the notion that they would be looking at my bookshelves (you really couldn't avoid looking at my bookshelves; they were the main source of interior decoration in my old apartment).
there were certain books that just couldn't withstand the scrutiny, and those i kept on my bedroom shelves. it wasn't that they were too risqué in tone, or scandalous. they were just too private; paperbacks i had lived in deeply, stacks of mismatched journals, old passions and current sillinesses.
but even so, even with that protective weeding, i still felt my "public" books showed my soul: every spine told a secret, every shelf held an uneven row of my dreams, ambitions, and beliefs.
i always survived each exposure, but that moment when the friend stepped toward my bookcases with curiosity always had me holding my breath.
we all have a weakness in our walls, don't we?
good night, mayo. may every siege end in flowers and feasts.
sweet dreams.
Oops.
Things are going okay ergo, thanks. And you?
yeah good thanks BC, lovely weather though a bit more rain'd be good, it's warm here but they ahve heatwave down south, glad I'm not there
Mayo
Just thought I'd pop in while I had the chance. Damn I really miss being here but that whole "real life" shit has been messing with me. LOL
Hopefully things will settle down here soon. Tomorrow is Flighty's b-day and I'm hoping it goes well. We are having a party for her (actually a dinner at mom's house) and believe me these little get togethers can be a bit intense. Sunshine is bringing her boyfried to met her dad for the first time. Oh hell I'm really wondering how that is gonna go. I truly with I had some Valium for tomorrow night. Shit, my eye is already twitching just thinking about it. Okay I'm really gonna try to be positive about the whole thing. I'm sure everyone will get along, no one will say anything that will start a fight....Yep I'm already laughing. There is no way those 3 sisters can be in the same room and not start shit. I guess this is sorta normal but I just don't get it. Being an only child never gave me any experiece with this at all.
Okay, well I gotta go. Still dealing with sick hubby. Heaven help me!
Hope things in your life are going well. Take care.
Night Mayo

omg!

Ergo believe me you do not want rain! We have severe floods here in Wales plus gale force winds. Everyone knows how I love Wales but seriously I'm thinking about emigrating. Did you say heatwave Ergo? You might have a new neighbour soon! Hope the weather isn't as bad where you are Miss T.
Elena I have two sisters and can honestly say that I have never argued with either of them. We really are the best of friends. Events over the last six months has brought us even closer together. I can't imagine my life without them.
I'm sure your girls will be fine Elena. As they get older they will realise how special the bond is between sisters.
Toujours I'm reading a welsh book at the moment. Crawia by Dewi Prysor, a dark comedy. He's very popular here in Wales.
Thank you for the new post Mr Mayonaise.
Have you been lurking S.S.?
Interests - staying inside the lines
hey welsh anon, well I'd like our normal wet season rain, year before last we had massive floods here (not us personally, we live on a hill) so I feel for the poor people over there, a couple of relatives had water up to the light switches in their houses, One had to swim her 2 kids out it happened so fast. Hope the weather eases for your countrymen and women soon.
But if you emigrate come up on the northern areas, we are having normal spring/summer temps, the poor southerners are having up to 46C, it didn't go below 29C last night and as of 1/2 hr ago it was still 41C in Adelaide!!
It must be so horrible down there, funny considering I am in the tropics closer to the equator, they are near the antarctic and sweltering, you'd think it;d be the opposite.
Hi elena, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Flighty, hope the night is enjoyable and uneventful ♥
thanks anon
hey SS!!
you colouring? Hope it's pretty :]

Joe is on his last day at work as a mailman.
He receives many thank-you cards and monetary gifts along his route.
When he gets to the very last house, he is greeted by a gorgeous housewife, who invites him in for lunch. Joe happily accepts. After lunch, the woman invites him up to the bedroom for some 'desert.' Joe happily accepts again. When they are done, the woman gives him a dollar.
Joe asks what the dollar is all about.
The woman replies: "It was my husband's suggestion. When I told him that it was your last day at work, he told me 'F**k him -- give him a dollar.' The lunch was my idea."

Good Morning
Ergo I will pass on your "Happy Birthday" to Flighty. I can't believe my baby is 20 today. Holy crap time passes so quickly. It is so hard to believe that 20 years ago today she was born (exactly a month early) that was quite a surprise complete with Mr Elena being out of town.
Welsh anon it is nice to hear you are so close with your sisters. I know my girls love each other. I've seen them act like they hate each other but the minute someone else says something about a sister they come to each others defense. I've always thought the fact that they are so very, very close in age makes a difference. I know someday they will get along better I'm just hoping it will be soon.
SS - It does sound like you are coloring. But you know what? Staying inside the lines is okay but so is doing your own thing. Whatever you are doing I hope it is making you happy. You take care.
Hiya peeps how are you all?
Very funny joke Amy, made me and mum laugh loads. Ergo, we especially liked the mailman one.
Keep em coming guys.
yay Ergo, I'm sooooooo excited about Most Haunted. Row F indeed, woohoo. I'll tell you all about it.
Elena, please say Happy Birthday to Flighty for me. I hope she's having a great day.
Welsh anon, how are you sweetie? OMG the wind and rain, tell me about it. These past few days I've had to change bedrooms to the front of the house cos the wind blows through a crack under the window round back and it whistles like a kettle boiling. I hope we are not gonna get flooding like a couple of years ago.
Well guys, I'm gonna wish you all a great weekend. I'm off with my sis to the theatre this Saturday night for a play that comprises three ghost stories, can't wait.
Take care everyone xxxx
good morning :]
hope you have a lovely night elena.
missT we must have a 12 hr shedule difference at the moment! I'm getting up and you're heading off!
I am really enjoying finding these jokes, hubby gets told them all too, there are some real goodies
hope you and sis have a lovely time at the theatre, 3 ghost stories sounds good
and Row F!! I am MORE envious!!
say hi to them all from an aussie fan, esp Stuart I always feel sorry for him, if anyone is going to be attacked in the dark it's him
Yellow lines, white lines, chalk lines; inside or out- who cares?
How gay is that cover?
OMG, like, so totally, like, completely -FAGUS 9:36!
I don't think it will negatively affect the world, however. It's just a magazine. So no need to hang them, or anyone involved, just yet.
It's so gay it makes Twilight seem hardcore and dangerous.
Hi de ho
anyone about?
hi ergo. :)
well, i have to admit, i am disappointed in the ap covers. i was looking forward to seeing them, but they are very badly over-photoshopped. it's like looking at wax figures of my chemical romance. ick.
plus, i guess i misunderstood; i thought there was going to be an article, not just those cover previews. fooey.
but the in-studio pictures are neat, it's very cool to see pictures of them at work. :)
so ergo, how are you??
That made me laugh, 9:58. Thanks for that! :)
Hope everyone has a good night.
good night, anon. :)
I'm good thanks TJ
went into town and now have new bedheads for the beds
plus a couple of thrift store things (can't resist a look)
and it's very hot
how has your day been and where is the cover you speak of?
"bedheads" makes me think of my hair in the mornings. *hee*
ergo, it's the cover(s) to the january ap magazine -- there are links to the images over at mcr.com.
it always sounds like you have a lot of really good thrift stores! there are only a few here, i miss the variety i had back in seattle. you can find the best things at thrift stores!
oh I see the cover, it is very photoshopped isn't it, it all looks too smooth, not a bad pic per say, but it looks a bit unnatural. I suppose it's what the photographer and AP wanted but it looks like a painting of a photo
I have had a great run with thrift stores lately, sometimes you go for months finding nothing then you get a run of luck.
These bedheads (lol) came from a motel, they must have changed them ,they are dark bamboo and they had a pile for $10 for large and $5 for single
seeing as we have all wood floors and I decorate sort of island/asian wood style they fit perfectly!
I even have my mum looking at them now where she is, she used to say they were all "dead people" things LOL all ours are run by charities so I prefer to buy it from them if I can than some big company
Brand new box of 96 Crayolas with a built-in sharpener. Brand new coloring book. You keeping busy? :)
no, it's not a bad picture,in and of itself. it'd be nice to see the pre-photoshop version some day!
bamboo? i bet that looks gorgeous. bamboo has such a nice clear color to it.
lol dead peoples' things! that's always exactly what i liked about it, that the clothes had stories already. i used to wear a lot of menswear, and i loved wondering about the men who had worn my suit jackets before me, what they had been like and what they had done.
I don't think it will negatively affect the world, however. It's just a magazine. So no need to hang them, or anyone involved, just yet.
Let us know when it is time to hang them, or anyone involved, will ya? ^_~
Hey everyone
I think if clothes or goods can get another chance then why not. I wonder about the people who give them away too, I do know they get old stock from stores too, they are priced a bit higher than the other pre-loved clothes.
Plus it really is doing the environment good, they aren't being landfill and you aren't using new resources, it's the best recycling!
these bamboos have been painted dark brown though, which is a bit of a shame, maybe one day I'd strip it, but they are all bound at the corners and you can still see the texture of it.
elena!! hello!
*asks carefully*
how was the dinner?
Hey Ergo and TJ
Actually dinner went very well. There was no drama. For a moment I thought I must have been in the wrong house. LOL
Mr Elena met Sunshine's boyfried and they seemed to have hit it off.
Flighty said to say thanks for the happy birthday wishes.
hi there elena. is your daughter having a good birthday? :)
ergo, bamboo painted a dark brown is probably a better thing than some of the other colors i've seen bamboo painted! what a good find though!
oh I see the cover, it is very photoshopped isn't it, it all looks too smooth, not a bad pic per say, but it looks a bit unnatural. I suppose it's what the photographer and AP wanted but it looks like a painting of a photo
they look stupid; more like ken dolls
and you answered my question while i was typing it!
sounds like it was a good time. :)
oh so glad the dinner was drama free, did Flighty get any cool gifts?
and excellent that Mr elena liked the "new boyfriend" always a scary moment
Is he feeling better?
Mr E is finally done with the antibotics so hopefully he will feel better now. Got my fingers and toes crossed.
If not I'll give him some of mine. LOL Hell I might even share my Hydrocodone. No on second thought I'm not sharing.
Flighty got some nice gifts but mostly money which is what she really wanted anyway.
And for the record anon I like the cover. Big surprise, right?
:O
I wann' a new color book 'n' crayons like Anon 11:24 has.
*scuffs foot on floor*
photoshopping is such a stupid idea, it's gone too far in magazines, taking off a noticeable flaw is one thing but they end up with people with no real skin texture, they thin them, airbrush them and make a totally unrealistic image of a real person then you get the same magazines going OH MY GOD RHIANNA HAS CELLULITE!!!!! BURN HER BURN HER!!!!!!!"* like they did this week
poor girl
did you know that cellulite didn't even exist until 1923 when 2 french doctors described it as a "disorder" with no evidence whatsoever? Then really not heard of until 1976 when a woman wrote a book on how to "fix" it. Before that it was just what normal people look like. Like everything they airbrush out in photos. Now it's a multimillion dollar industry relying on convincing people that normal is in fact somehow wrong and that their products can "fix" it for you.
~end rant, sorry that is one of my real hates
(*ok so they didn't say burn her)
sending healing thoughts his way, elena. :)
*hands amyranth a box of crayolas and a sailor moon coloring book*
yeah, really big surprise elena ;), but that's okay, you're entitled to your opinion
*squeals a little*
Okay, I'n takin it to bed with me.
Thank you TeeeeeJaaay!
I like the photo too, except Ray is at the back again so all you see is his head as usual* I just don't like they way it's been adjusted
*not as bad as when they stuck him inside a tree though
still
mr i'm so punk resembles like a male stripper in that pic
hello Amy!!
They're artsy covers. Suitable for framing.
At least they didn't chop off any huge chunks of body parts.
like W mag did with Demi Moore
o_0
Hey Amy
Anon it's cool that you are down with me having a different opinion. To each his own, right?
lol a demi-Demi
I don't like photoshopped pictures of most people. And at least it's not grossly obvious.
There's a photographer that I've seen who does mostly wedding photos and baby portraits, and she always, ALWAYS finds a way to give several of her pictures that stupid little eight pointed star. You know, the Ting!Star? Drives me NUTS.
Takes a perfectly good picture of the wedding bands sitting in the bride's bouquet, and puts the Ting!Star right in the frigging middle of it.
*shakes her head*
*heehee*
you're welcome, amyranth! :)
that's right elena, otherwise the world would be a very boring place :)
That W mag cover has to be the worst enhancing job eva.
oh no not the "ting" star!! that is so cliché
kind of like (and I apologise to anyone who has them) why do wedding photographers assume all brides and grooms get married then suddenly go on a picnic?
hey, the nude shot could be their next cover
ya know, they need to take it to the next level
and that will be very "enhanced"
Ergo, where I come from, everyone gets married and then heads to the beach. I kid you not.
-10 in February, and girls are getting wedding photos taken on the beach.
Ting!Star included.
Oh, the other photoshop I hate is The Floating Head and The Phantom Hands.
The Floating Head always looks so sinister, and The Phantom Hands look grabby. O_o
I like you anon!
Okay gotta be honest I'm having trouble following right now. The pain pills are making me a bit loopy. Nude cover?
Yes Elena.
A nude cover with a bunch of floating heads and phantom hands.
You don't want to know where this is going.
they could have a strip sequence, printed on the bottom of the pages so you could flip them
clothes come off....
clothes go on.....
Five new issues, with one new nude in each?
I like the photo too, except Ray is at the back again so all you see is his head as usual* I just don't like they way it's been adjusted
Didn't ya look at the individual covers? Very artsy close ups. ;)
Holy crap I've only seen the group cover pic. Where are the rest?
Didn't ya look at the individual covers? Very artsy close ups. ;
you actually needed to ask that?? lol
I know but always in the group shots, the tree was the worst though
Heading to bed now, have a good night girls!
goodnight Amy sweet dreams, don't drop your crayons
Oh wow just looked at the covers. Must say they do have a sorta vampire look to them. I really like them. Damn Gerard is pretty. Wait that's probably not a good thing to say about a guy is it? Oh well, can't help it, he is. LOL
I just figured out why I don't like the pic! they look like CGI animation, people that look like real people but not quite, always a bit creepy, like robots are creepy
or maybe that's just me LOL
wish they'd left them more natural
and that will be very "enhanced"
Whose cover do you think would require the most enhancing anon? Whose would require the least?
their eyes all look very intense though, that's nice
Night Amy
Sweet dreams
good night amyranth. :)
and i'm going to head off to bed, too.
good night elena, good night ergo, good night anons!
sweet dreams. :)
goodnight TJ sweet dreams
brb bus time
Night TJ
Talk to ya later. Take care
Five new issues, with one new nude in each?
puh-leaze, one shock is enough
naked men just look silly though, they need strategically placed objects
"strategically placed objects"
Uh, such as?
yes, ergo
they can hold their new record over their "strategic spots"
*giggles*
mayo,
i think this needs to be real quick tonight; i am falling asleep at the wheel.
but i wanted to tell you that as i was coming home from work tonight, i found myself really looking at the houses as we passed by. it's dark now, and all the interior lights make each window a tableau, a glimpse of someone else's life.
i admit it, i've always been a bit of a peeping thomasina when it comes to driving at night, but tonight the houses seemed to be so full of meaning, so rich and self-contained. every glimpse as we drove past made me wonder what it would be like to have a home of one's own, a life of one's own...
i've never had that. i've either been a part of someone else's family, or an apartment-dweller, and while an apartment can be a home, there is something about the cozy house, the island that belongs to you and you alone.
tonight, in the winter darkness, each house seemed like a country apart, countries with borders closed to me, and attractive all the more for that.
every choice for something is also a choice against, and our lives narrow down the older we get.
that isn't very optimistic, i know. but it seems that way, sometimes.
good night, mayo. be well, and have sweet dreams.
oh I don't know elena, use your imagination....
or maybe don't LOL
Oh come on Ergo let me use my imagination.
I'm in pain here I gotta have a bit of a distraction.
Let's see....
uh oh, this could get sordid
*makes popcorn*
Watching a Fugazi film; so amazing yet it is strange...Indie at its finest. Start your own label is my advice from it all.
Random...sorry.
I came by and I see a new post, wanting to express a few thoughts or two. I need some time. Haven't heard you in a while....I mean really 'heard' from you.
My friend, I hope you are good. I believe you are...much love to you and yours.
Going back to re-read; catch up; and off to bed.
Wishing you so much happiness.
All of of my friends. I miss you.
♥
hello anima
hope you call back to share your thoughts and that everything is going well for you and yours
miss you too xx
Greetings Mayo, SS, Sweetcheeks, Ergo, Amy, Martha, Elena, TJ, MissT, L and J, SC!!!, Anima!!!, Welsh anon, everyone!
How are you all, tonight/today? Well and good, I hope!
Mayo and SS: It's nice to you!
SS: "Staying inside the lines", huh? Well, self control is a very good thing! Sometimes you just want to go wild and color so far out of those lines the original picture is nearly unrecongizable. That is, usually, never good.
Having said that, there are times when you just have to add a little something to the original picture. When the boundary lines and just too confining, too stifling. It's okay to go outside of the original lines then! Just try not to go too far when drawing the new lines and creating your own boundaries. I mean, you wouldn't want to color off the page.
Of course, you could really JUST be coloring!!! Not everything around this place has to be a metaphor. If that is the case, please ignore everything I said up there^; and, is it a Scooby Doo or Looney Tunes coloring book? Maybe a baby animals or favorite toys one? I always loved those!!!!
Mayo: I'm very happy to see you so excited about your writing, your new friend and sharing your writing with your new friend! "Exhibitionist and shy, both"... wonderful combination, methinks! Keep slapping the world in the face. We could all use a few more of those "wake up" slaps! I mean, how much does a slap really hurt?! Especially one delivered with the intent to wake us up.
;)
Elena: I'm happy to hear Flighty's birthday dinner went well! Please tell her "Happy Belated Birthday" for me! And, thank you ~ so much ~ for my Thanksgiving grub!!!! YAY! I haz KISS M&M's!!!! I was going to buy myself a bag of those; but, then I saw the price. Good grief! One bag of those M&M's was half the price of the new KISS cd (which includes two cds and one live dvd)! Not a "marketing genius" my arse!
Ergo: You're just a thrift store shopping guru! I am in awe of your skillz! I, actually, love flea markets!
Well, that is all for now. I have a had another rough/exhausting day; but, I'm (relatively) good. My little Miss. Bingles Bunny is, and will continue to be, missed.
Goodnight, everyone! Sweet dreams to one and all!
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~
6/Wendy
Hi PJ!
Please excuse all the spelling errors and/or typos. I was too tired to proof read.
*hangs head in shame*
Oh, screw that! There are so much more important things in life to be concerned about.
;)
*blows kisses to blog believe*
Anima so good to see you here. You are missed woman!
Wendy glad you like your Kiss M&M's. I saw them and thought to myself I know who needs these. LOL
hi wendy we don't get many flea markets but I like them too, at the moment I'm on a roll!
sweet dreams
lol I just accidentally sprayed my glasses with deodorant and everything to my right is in soft focus
but now your glasses are odorfree LOL
Okay time for another pill. Take care everyone and catch you all later.
Mayo
Let me apologize in advance for this goodnight. See while I’m sure what I will write will make perfect sense to me I do realize that my thoughts are a bit cloudy at the moment. As I’ve said before I really hate to take medication, usually I avoid it like the plague. But this morning I woke up in a lot of pain. How fuckin’ weird is it that Mr E has been battling a terrible infection resulting in a root canal and now guess who needs one? This gal (pointing to myself ) LOL
Yep my jaw is throbbing even after the Vicodin. Man, that shit is wicked. While it does help the pain I’m loopy. Wow, really loopy. Add to that the antibiotics and it’s a fun mix. I feel like my thoughts are all over the place.
Anywho, today was good other than the whole dentist trip. Flighty had a nice birthday, the family was all together and not one drop of drama. Crap, there I was thinking that even if they did start the drama it wouldn’t bother me (cause nothing is bothering me right now) and it didn’t matter. Hell I didn’t even get all mopey cause my baby is now 20 years old.
Okay lets see what else. Oh TJ’s goodnight made me remember something. She was talking about looking into houses. Well as you know I love to do that, that’s why I like Estate Sales. But then I remembered back to when I was about 12 or 13. I spent a lot of time with my grandma in Carthage Mo. It was a very nice town and at night I would love to go for walks. I remember there was this one house, halfway between Grandma’s and the church that I loved. At night when I’d walk by I could into this one huge room that was a library. It was beautiful with floor to ceiling bookshelves. I remember thinking to myself that someday I wanted to have a library like that. And you know what? It happened. I love my library. I guess books have always been my destiny. LOL
Well I know I’m rattling so I better wrap this up. It’s really nice to talk to you again. See Mr E finally felt good enough to go back to work tonight and so I have some time to actually be here. I really hope things are getting back to normal (as normal as they can be). I’ve so missed this, silly woman that I am.
Take care Mayo and not sure if I’ve said it before but thanks again for posting so soon. Okay it’s not like you used to post (that was so cool) but at least it wasn’t weeks and weeks.
Night Mayo
Elena (I’m beginning to understand why House likes these)
LOL
I have to go make dinner now, so I will say goodnight before you go too elena, so good to see you again and glad you had a good night
xx
Thanks Ergo
Love ya. Take care
Mayo
A professor told dirty jokes in class and the women wanted to protest it. So they decided that in the next time that the professor will start with these kind of jokes they all will leave the class as a protest.
Somehow the professor heard about the plan.
In the next lecture, in the beginning of the lecture he said: "In Sweden a pr*stitute makes $2000 per night."
All the women stood up and started to leave the class. So he shouted after them: "Where are you going? The plane to Sweden doesn't take off until the day after tomorrow."
much love EP xx

A young brunette goes into the doctor's office and says that her body hurts wherever she touches it.
"Impossible," says the doctor. "Show me."
She takes her finger and pushes her elbow and screams in agony. She pushes her knee and screams, pushes her ankle and screams and so on it goes.
The doctor says, "You're not really a brunette are you?"
She says, "No, I'm really a blonde."
"I thought so," he says. "Your finger is broken."
lotsa love EP xx
goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning
♥xx♥
Hi there. =)
Mayo,
Nice to see you - and sounding more invigorated, too.
A darling friend of mine once offered to proofread something of mine - once. Let's just say it is possible to get blisters on your toes, running at speed backwards. A stranger reading it, however, no problem.
Humans. Bloody weird bunch at the best of times.
I believe scientists at Melbourne University are working on a giant hot potato chip to toss towards New Zealand to distract it right this minute
Ergo,
While they're at it, can we please get some giant battered fush and a few large potato frutters, to go, please!
And congrats on the bedheads find. Talk about a bargain. =)
And sorry to see the end of Rove. He was very well liked on this side of the ditch.
Welsh anon,
I used to be a huuuge rugby fan! Not so much recently, but warming to it again with the Cup being played here next.
Sorry about the match against your country. It was just wrong. And then Dan Carter with the high tackle?! We were all pretty stunned over that one. *shakes head* Zac Guildford looks an exciting new prospect for the All Blacks. Not as physically exciting as Jonah Lomu on the field, but so much talent, heart and tragedy, with youth on his side.
Welsh + Rugby usually = Cricket fan, too?
MissT,
Hey, hope the show is great! It sounds pretty exciting, judging by yours and Ergo's enthusiasm. =)
616,
Oh no, what happened to Miss Bingles Bunny? =(
Anima,
We miss you too! Sounds like a good film to watch. When you drop by again could you please let us know the title. =)
Elena,
Happy late birthday, to Flighty, and good news that meeting Sunshine's new boyfriend went well!
I don't think my family have ever gotten over the fact that my guy is only a few years younger than them. =(
May your rootcanal be as painfree as possible!
Amy,
Congatulations. =)
SC,
Saw you!!
*tickles and hugs*
The AP MCR cover eyes are creepy in a stuffed animal, head on the wall, way. Except for Bob's. His eyes match those of the porcelain dolls that we hang by their feet along the hallway at Halloween. Not good.
naked men just look silly though,
I'm on the other side of the fence with this. I think the male body (even with those bits)is fabulous. The first time I came up close with a naked male body I just wanted to trace my fingers all over it - and it. To feel the skin, the muscles, the textures - and the movement...
*shuts up now*
*where's SisM when you need back up?!*
Happy Friday all, and Saturday, in a few, Ergo. =)
*apologises for novel*
If you take those AP covers out into the sunlight, they sparkle.
Are you aching for the blade?
That's OK, we're insured
Are you aching for the grave?
That's OK, we're insured
We're getting away with it all messed up
Getting away with it all messed up
That's the living
I'm on the other side of the fence with this. I think the male body (even with those bits)is fabulous. The first time I came up close with a naked male body I just wanted to trace my fingers all over it - and it. To feel the skin, the muscles, the textures - and the movement...
ooooh yeah
Pickled Possem I loved your novel. It is alway great to see you here. I'm with ya on the male body thoughts except not right now. Stupid tooth is killing me at the moment *lookes at clock and wishes it was time for another pill* Oh well gotta tough it out. I will pass on the belated B-day wish to Flighty.
7:44 anon thanks for my first big laugh of the day!
Well I've slept as long as possible. Gotta get busy now. Take care everyone.
Today seems to be Return of the Errant Lovelies...hey all.
First, belated congrats to Amy on the engagement! *big hugs and kisses* I know you're excited, and I hope Mister is too. Keep us informed about the details.
Wendy, sadly, on the heels of Amy's good news, is your bad news. Poor little Miss Bingles. I know you miss her, and always will. But remember she's "Upstairs" playing, and looking down on you saying "Mommy, don't cry, I iz right here!" *big hugs and kisses too*
Miss T, it's official: I haz a gellus. "Most Haunted"? You are the WOMAN!! So cool, congrats to you!
Hello to Anima and SC!
Elena, you have GOT to stop trying to imitate Mr Elena. No good will ever come of it. BUT, Vicodin is a mighty good friend to have at these times. That's what they gave L when she had her gallbladder out (I think that's when it was). Lights are home, but nobody's on...and glad Flighty's birthday and dinner went so well. :)
Ergo, you and L need to go thrift-store shopping together. She finds the most bizarre, good things for, like, a nickel. I don't know how she does it. I have no skill with that except with baby clothes *shudder*.
TJ, how's your story coming along?
Possum!! Yes, oh yes re: your opinion on the male body. Yes indeed. Theirs are so different from ours that it makes the experience one of excitement, wonder, fascination, and appreciation. And each one of theirs is so different from the others. It's like...an 'all-you-can-eat buffet', if you will. ;D
Funniest Comment of the Week:
"lol I just accidentally sprayed my glasses with deodorant and everything to my right is in soft focus"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ergo, bless your heart, I'm still laughing! What a great picture! It reminds me of something Opus from "Bloom County" would do! Hell, it reminds me of something I would do!
Now, for the 'big' topic of conversation: the AP covers.
Personally, I think they look great. We all know the guys don't normally look like that. But that's ok. Does anyone remember glamour shots from the '80s? NOBODY looked like that in real life. Think about it. We've seen zillions of pics of the guys where they look sweaty, messy, hair everywhere, etc (i.e., stage shots). First, that's not their normal look either. Second, don't you think sometimes they might LIKE looking good in pics? Don't you ever hear yourself say, "Oh fuck, that's a horrible picture of me, let me fix my hair" or whatever? So they might look a little posed, a little 'enhanced'. Most pics we see of celebrities are airbrushed. So what?
And I would think there'd be an article to go along with the pictures; it's about the most anticipated albums of 2010, and it says "starring My Chemical Romance". Besides, the mag's not even out yet, let's wait and see.
CGI? Maybe a little, around the eyes. 'Twilight'? Maybe a little, but they've always been associated with vampires.
And if they sparkle in the sun, cool! We can see them better. ;D
*pants, thinking has equalled Possum in length of novel*
SORRY! I had a lot to say. Take care everyone, I'll catch up to you later.
xo jen
MAYO!!!
Dude, it's like old times. What a great post! I'm so glad you dug deep down to find your voice again. This is what we've missed.
A new friend with a new perspective on the old you. That DOES wake you up a little. You go along for years, reach a 'reasonably accomplished age', and suddenly somebody comes up and says, "You're completely different from what you think you are." And you say, the Hell I am. And they say, no wait, sit down a minute, you really are.
That second paragraph there says, basically, "Kids today..." :) But it's true! Younger people are so much different today, even from when we were their age. Some are complete wastes of space, and some are brilliant in every facet of their lives. Your friend sounds like what people call an 'old soul', wise beyond his years and experience. Being 'a bit off' has never been a bad thing, in my opinion. It's all in how you use it.
I think all of us who write--whether as a profession or for pleasure only--feel the same apprehension showing our work to those we know and love. These are the people we want to receive approval from, receive love from, and writing is such a blatent display of your innermost thoughts and feelings and opinions. This is ME, those words say, this is how I REALLY am/think/feel/whatever. Sometimes you may not have told your loved ones exactly how you really are/think/feel/whatever. Then they read you, and they find out. It's a very vulnerable action, and we feel that if they disapprove, we'll lose them.
Strangers, on the other hand, are just that: strangers. They don't know us from anyone, therefore if they have a bad opinion of our words, well, so? That's when you pull out the old "I write for myself" routine (yep, I do it too!), and put it out of your mind.
"You are an exhibitionist and shy, both.”
I think that's a fair assessment of anyone who creates. Whether with words, or images, or music, or objects. You want people to read, hear, see what you've made, but then again, do you want to be the center of attention?
What purpose are you serving? Well, if you're making someone--anyone--happy, then that's a great purpose. If you're expressing your own views to the world, that's a great purpose too. If you're doing something that makes YOU happy, then that's the best purpose of all.
"I can only imagine that my unchecked exhibitionism would undoubtedly lead me to my depraved end, and that my need to slap the world in the face keeps me from becoming a total shut-in."
And then there's this, which makes perfect sense, and also makes me laugh like a hysteric. :)
Mayo, thank you for being you--again.
Dear SS,
Here YOU are, too, how cool is that? Seems like a lot of us have made it back to the Castle, at least for a brief visit. We should try to have a party or something. You bring the salsa, I'll bring the cheese, and Ergo and Possum can bring the giant potato chip. heeheehee
"Staying inside the lines." Ok, I'll end up sounding redundant, cause everyone else has already made their observations. Having boundaries--if that's what we're talking about--is good for certain times and circumstances. I mean, you can't run naked through Wal-Mart because of, well, the Clothes Rule. Some have probably tried, and have landed in jail no doubt. But boundaries are, let's face it, made to be broken, too. If you wanted to wear your jammies to Wal-Mart, well, why not? They're clothes, right? There ya go.
The boundary between 'acceptable' and 'unacceptable' has blurred so much over the years that it can be hard to see. There's a lot of shit that folks do that I don't find acceptable, but others have no problem with. So, we can assume that boundaries shift from person to person. I suppose we have to set our own, then.
So make new edges! Push the envelope! Tell the world to fuck off!
Or, just color the fuck outta the pictures you've got, and then get some more. ;)
Actually, in this case, I'm going with that viewpoint. Don't think this is one of those 'lizard's out of the barn' comments. Just a feeling.
I haz a missing for yoo, and I iz hope yoo is OK. :)
In case I'm not here later, I'll say:
Goodnight, baby. I love you.
My heart to yours, always.
xo jen
Love is back on the blog. How exciting.
good morning!!
hey PP
fush and frutters coming up, you want sux or suvun?
and just to clarify I totally love the male body, but as soon as it gets to full frontal nudity the dangly bits always, to me, lessen the impact, so to speak lol
I prefer to see those lovely little angled muscles directing your gaze to the top of strategically low waistbands....ok now I'LL stop
I think it's the same as men who prefer a bit of lingerie to a fully nude lady, it's that hint of something else to find that makes it sooooo much more sexy and attractive
hello J!!
oh boy sounds like L and I in a thrift store hunt would be a force to be reckoned with!
and I managed the deodorant by being lazy and instead of swapping to my left hand I just turned the can upside-down in my right and yeah...aim was a tad off LOL
mornin elena!
Aren't you a married woman? You should be accustomed to the "dangly bits" by now...
oh very accustomed anon, but what's that to do with what I view as sexier?
Good Morning to you Ergo
hello elena!! how are you feeling today?
Not so good. My whole lower jaw is just throbbing. Actually I just woke up from a nap. The meds make me very tired.
How are you today?
oh poor you, that's the thing with pain meds, they usually do make you drowsy, and that's annoying as well cause you can't do anything
I'm good, it's a hot and humid day today, I really hope we get a storm or some rain soon, storm would be good, haven't had one for ages, though not a bad one lol
Just went up the shed to look at the progress of the cubby house, the roof is going on today. DH and BG are working hard 9well one of them is, with christmas carols playing.
I'm down the house doing stuff with a Spongebob marathon on.
I am sure BG is the one doing all the work! LOL
I'm trying not to go lay back down but man, that sofa is calling to me.
So this coming Thursday are you gonna be having your Thanksgiving dinner with your Kansas sent decorations?
we most certainly will!! I was just thinking about it last night while watching tv, I am going to buy some turkey early this week and do the sides and all again. I actually do them quite often they are so yummy, there is a thing I found that's basically corn, cream and cheese baked. Soooooooo good and a really nice potato dish, but any other suggestions are welcome :]
Just don't forget the cranberries. The joke for our family is that we make that side just like grandma. She always just opened the can and plopped it in a dish so it still resembled a can in shape complete with the inside marks from the can. LOL
hahahahaha oh that is classic!
I love cranberry sauce, I always have it in the fridge, I don't think we get it in cans though, I always get bottles, but I'll have a look
Frank Lero looks like a twelve year old lesbian.*
*no offense to the gay/lesbian community
7:55 I'm thinking you might need glasses. Frank is a fine lookin' man.
Well I'm off to the sofa for a bit. Take care.
Hi blog. :)
most definitely elena!
have a nice lie down/nap
hi anon :]
Hey Hey!
Are we still talkin 'bout dangly bits?
hi amy!
we can if you want to! lol
hows things with you today?
Pretty good! Finished my first week at the new and I'm still alive. Also, I don't hate it either!
Go TEAM!
How about you?
oh that's great Amy!
I'm good, it's a bloody hot day and I am just making some ham cheese and tomato toasties for lunch
Oh MAN, those sound good. I'm going to have to invest in a panini press soon, I think.
What's the temp? It's November and we're still +12 during the day and -2 at night.

I just wanted to point out that I do agree with Ergo, in the sense that while the dangly bits are useful and whatnot, the problem is that in full on nude they can be somewhat...
Deflated?
I like the allusion of the bits through clothing, sheets or really long wet shirts. But if they're not in all their glory, they're kind of unimpressive.
oh Amy funniest thing I ever saw on that topic was when driving down to Sydney with a girlfriend, we saw a car stopped by the side of the highway with 2 young guys, obviously needing to take a leak by the road, and for some unknown reason they decided it would be a good idea to turn and wave said dangly bits at the passing cars, we were in hysterics for miles!!
and I am just going to pop off and have my toasties before they cool too much, the cheese should be under "lava" now
we are going to the creek for a swim later too, it's very hot, and humid which makes it worse, on the veranda right now it's 31C
be back in a bit
Frank is a fine lookin' man.
Hobbit maybe.
I've got spurs that dingle dangle dingle
As I go riding merrily along
and they sing
oh aint you glad you're single
I like hobbits!
Well all except their hairy feet.
Hey Amy
Ergo lunch sounds delish wish I could chew.
Your
cigarette dangles, my flesh is weak
Pedal to the metal darlin', 'cause I'm about to
peak
Now sit up straight, hook your legs through the rocking chair
I wanna find a new way
to show you how I care
I'm a dingle, dangle scarecrow
With a great big floppy hat
I can shake my hands like this
And I can shake my feet like that
Wonder what other great big floppy thangs he liked ta dangle and shake?
err hmmm
did you not see this?
