I hate to see you
When you're falling apart
Can't you start over, again?
Elizabeth crumbles
Alone in her chair
Keeps her windows shut
To keep out the air
Elizabeth crumbles
Alone in her bed
Spends all her pastime
Mulled in her dread
What keeps her living
Is her fear of being
Anywhere other than here
So they’ll feed her too much
Or it’s never enough,
Then it's fuck you
“Get the hell out of here!"
Elizabeth stumbles
Over everything I've said
Pining words are useless
Pushed round in her head
The mystery was my bravery
I never knew what I'd get
Will it be her fear or regret?
Her confusion my denial?
Walked her shoes a while
Now she can’t turn back
So she said then she’ll stay
And I will walk away
Elizabeth mumbles
Over and over my name
Forgetting tomorrow
Will never be the same
She’s repeating her beating
Did you bring her a drink?
Why are you leaving?
What the hell do you think?
That she’ll fuck you
To get the hell out of here
Elizabeth tumbles
Out onto the floor
With an abandon of reason
It is herself abhorred
She sat alone in her room
Pouring over her gloom
Never got out of her chair
And they don't even care
Now that they’ve all receded
Into the ground or fleeted
To the wormholes
And woodwork back there
You'll find repair
Where that memory
Becomes illusory
Look, again?
p.s. in the end it is what you think you will get.

I'm afraid there is nothing I can say here other than that I wish you well.
Goodbye.
*rubs eyes*
Cupcake?! Is that really you?!
*massive glompy bear hugs*
Wow, it's great to see you! And Amy too! I've missed you, Amy, how're you doing?
Hiya Amy
hellooooo cupcake!!!
That's very sweet No Name. ^_^
Hey Ergo! Happy Saturday to you!
hi J
thank you 10:49 I wish you well also
J, Ergo! *cuddles*
I've missed you guys!
I know I've been away for ages, but you know me... I always turn up eventually, you'll never be fully rid of me! mwha ha ha!
O_O
Jesus, you go into the kitchen for milk and cookies...
Hiya Ergo and J!
Hallo No Name, well wishes are accepted, but apparently they take awhile to process. :P
Cuppy, don't worry about it. So long as I hear from you once in a bit.
thanks J it's a lovely day, though they predict showers tomorrow
you have a nice Friday?
be a bit cold down your way cupcake?
Of course Amy, I'm harder to kill than lice!
Cupcake, I am sweet. Thank you for noticing.
Ergo, you are welcome.
"Hallo No Name, well wishes are accepted, but apparently they take awhile to process. :P"
Perhaps they were being translated into Canadian for you. ;)
Cold like you wouldn't believe, Ducky! It's pouring with rain, and the hills are all covered in mist.
I've missed you too Cuppy. How have you been doing? I'm sure you've noticed, it's the same ol' FUBAR shit around here. O_o
Ergo, it's been ok today. I cleaned the catbox, oh thrill of my heart, so how much better could it get? ;)
Amy! Get on over here and let's catch up! I have a nice blanket we can share.
Any time, No Name. Kindness always deserves to be rewarded. I have no medals or cake at the moment so I had to make do.
Big hello to ergo, cupcake(Good to see you) I have no name, J, and Amy.
I hope you guys are well.
Same old, same old, J. Things have a funny way of not changing... And how are you hun?
Sorry No Name, I wasn't ignoring you, only being forgetful. You know we take in most everybody, if you'd like to stay.
Hi BC :) How are you?
Cuppy, nothing like a misty, moisty morning. Unless you're here. Where it's snowing. And -4.
J, move over. At least you picked the nice blanket this time. The mean blanket wouldn't stop zapping me last time. :(
No Name, wait... ummm... yep! They just downloaded into my account.
DAMN.
Those are some NOICE wishes!
BCEESTER!!!!!!!
Way to show me up, Amy! :P Well, I'm sure it'll be snowing here any day now...
BC!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*big ol' squeezy happy hugs*
Where have you been keeping yourself, girl? I've missed you!
BTW, guys, L's on the phone right now, and she says HELLO!!! to everyone. :D
HI BC!!!
nice to see you
Hi L! :)
J, I don't expect replies so it's all good.
Amyranth, I owe you for the laugh you gave to someone else. Their pain is my biggest source of amusement lately. They've asked me to say hello for them but I refuse. I hope you understand.
I'm afraid there is nothing I can say here other than that I wish you well.
Believe me, they don't need your well-wishes. So patronizing.
11:21,
Needing and deserving are two entirely different things. "Patronizing" only because you are wrong.
Hiya L!!
No Name, I refuse to take the message anyway! So ner :P
Tickling the feet when they're supposed to be sleeping works really well too. If you're feeling particularly fiendish, the old warm water trick is a good one as well.
Cuppy, I didn't mean to show you up!
Here, have some snow! [*] <--- (snow in a box)
So how much snow have you gotten so far, Amy?
Thanks Amy, I'll make snow cones with it. I do hope it's clean.... >_>
Well, I'll shuffle off now I think, I'm not meant to be here, I have a million things to do, but you guys are so much more fun....
*hugs for all*
Take care.
xoxo cupcake
J, so far it's melting as it hits the ground, but they're still estimating around 10-15 cm when it's all said and done on Sunday. This is basically a storm that's going to hang around for a few days.
It sucks because I was really hoping to get more planting done this weekend.
Exactly.
Hi L!!!!
oh warm water trick! I've never done it but does it work?
we have a weed flower called Pee the Bed that is supposed to work if you put it by the sleeper
Cuppy, we try our damndest. Have a good night kiddo, we'll see you around soon.
Oh, Ergo, you mean the Dandelion?
I know if you eat it it's supposed to make it easier to urinate, something about the presence of stones in the bladder, kidneys and urethra that can be dissolved by a nutrient in the weed.
Not sure though...
No mess in the bed, thank you. I would be the one to clean afterward.
Hey there cupcake, how are you doing today? I'm okay, a bit sore, but thanks for asking.
Amy, what's going on in your neck of the woods?
Ergo, hi there, how is your Saturday?
J, big hugs to you and L. How are you guys doing? Good I hope. I've been kinda busy lately, and trying to get myself into shape, and all that fun stuff.
*grins*
Tickling the feet it is. I suggest a large feather. It's much more annoying, and less detectable than the fingers or nails.
Anyway, I think I need to run guys, Mister might be off for the weekend, but Dad's still here, and I think I need to rescue him from the Wii.
Or rescue the Wii from him... hrrrmmmm....
Have a good night everyone!
Goodnight cupcake. See you later.
Night Amy.
hello, everyone. :)
Goodnight Cuppy! It was so good to see you!
Goodnight Amy! Talk to you soon!
goodnight amy sweet dreams
no name that is a big drawback, tickling may be less messy
though...over here I have done vegemite on the fingers, then tickled their face, you can picture the outcome
bye cupcake, hope to see you again soon
Hiya TJ!
BC, are you getting in shape for your vacation? ;) Gotta catch some of those hot dudes in Vegas. Or have you already been?
Hey TJ!
No Name, cleaning the bed after that kind of, uh, incident would NOT be an event to look forward to. That's why I don't have kids! ;)
hi ergo. :)
and hello, j. :)
Where's everybody?
i don't know! i didn't have garlic at dinner...
*shrugs*
Go figure. So what's new with you, TJ?
J, I'm trying to, but not for that. Lately, I've been feeling somewhat shitty, so getting myself into better shape is definitely one of my top priorities.
Hey tj, what's up?
I'm here
just was down having a sit with Cat
and I shall be having garlic with dinner :]
not too much. we're starting to scan all the fabric at the shop so we can put it online. that's mostly my job, so it's fun to play with the computer stuff. today we had a glitch, so i spent most of the afternoon online with the main store, working it out with their techgal. that was actually pretty cool, they do a remote log in so we're both working on the same computer.
oh, and i have another date wednesday. :)
ooh another date!!
same guy?
hi there bc, good to see you here. :)
garlic, ergo? good thing i'm not a vampire. *heh*
Are you sure about that toujours?
yep, ergo. :)
his month off is over, time for him to go back on the boat, so we get to see each other while he's in town.
lol 12:21, pretty sure. i can see myself in a mirror, after all. *heh*
Sounds like an excellent plan, BC. Good luck to you!
Ah, another date. ;D So he's back in town?
"just was down having a sit with Cat"---Ergo? One of yours? Something wrong?
Thanks tj. Good luck with the date on wednesday ^_^
Good to know toujours, cuz vampires and me don't get along.
awesome TJ :]
hope you have a lovely time
no J we had a cat turn up, a stray and he's sort of staying until I can find him a home (though I'd love to keep him) we just call him Cat, though apparently his name is now Tom
yep, j. :)
and thanks, bc!
i myself don't have any problems with vampires, 12:26, but to each their own.
Oh I see, Ergo. Do your cats mind him being there? COULD you be able to keep him?
thanks, ergo. :)
why the feline namechange?
because of 7 year old logic Tj, he's a tom so his name should be Tom
J they don't like him, and I am sort of hoping he may weasel his way in, lol
but he is set up in one of our dog kennels for night times, with a nice warm box of pillows to sleep in
he is litter trained and very affectionate, so we think he was dumped rather than pay to desex him, though I have put word out in case he is lost, but no one close had him.
I advertised him as a give away in the paper, I'd love him to have a nice family
It's so hard to turn one away, isn't it Ergo? You want to save each one you see. I'd love to run a no-kill shelter for cats, and have adoptions and such. There's a great no-kill shelter in ATL called "Good Mews". I supported them when I lived there.
What's Tom Cat look like? And how old is he, do you think?
aw, shoot, ergo -- i was hoping there was an interesting story behind the change! lol
well, time for me to be saying good night. work tomorrow, and it's the day i have the shop to myself, so i've gotta be alert!
good night ergo, good night j., good night bc, and good night anon.
sweet dreams all. :)
Goodnight TJ, take some extra coffee with you tomorrow!
goodnight Tj sweet dreams
I'll email you his pic J
he's a grey tabby
we have only one cat shelter, which one lady runs herself, but she can't take him
the other option is the pound and though they try to give them away they only keep them a short time as they get too many
Oh a grey tabby! Like Rain. He's lost most of his stripes by now, but he still has them near his belly and on his legs.
Maybe you should open a shelter, Ergo! It's your calling. ;D Seriously, you'd do very well with it plus you'd have built-in assistance from Baby Girl! (You know I'm kidding on that one, right?)
The Lifeguard
In a stable of boats I lie still,
From all sleeping children hidden.
The leap of a fish from its shadow
Makes the whole lake instantly tremble.
With my foot on the water, I feel
The moon outside
Take on the utmost of its power.
I rise and go out through the boats.
I set my broad sole upon silver,
On the skin of the sky, on the moonlight,
Stepping outward from earth onto water
In quest of the miracle
This village of children believed
That I could perform as I dived
For one who had sunk from my sight.
I saw his cropped haircut go under.
I leapt, and my steep body flashed
Once, in the sun.
Dark drew all the light from my eyes.
Like a man who explores his death
By the pull of his slow-moving shoulders,
I hung head down in the cold,
Wide-eyed, contained, and alone
Among the weeds,
And my fingertips turned into stone
From clutching immovable blackness.
Time after time I leapt upward
Exploding in breath, and fell back
From the change in the children’s faces
At my defeat.
Beneath them I swam to the boathouse
With only my life in my arms
To wait for the lake to shine back
At the risen moon with such power
That my steps on the light of the ripples
Might be sustained.
Beneath me is nothing but brightness
Like the ghost of a snowfield in summer.
As I move toward the center of the lake,
Which is also the center of the moon,
I am thinking of how I may be
The savior of one
Who has already died in my care.
The dark trees fade from around me.
The moon’s dust hovers together.
I call softly out, and the child’s
Voice answers through blinding water.
Patiently, slowly,
He rises, dilating to break
The surface of stone with his forehead.
He is one I do not remember
Having ever seen in his life.
The ground I stand on is trembling
Upon his smile.
I wash the black mud from my hands.
On a light given off by the grave
I kneel in the quick of the moon
At the heart of a distant forest
And hold in my arms a child
Of water, water, water.

oh woah I can see hubby's reaction now!!
glad you're joking, baby girl would be very keen, lol
I emailed the pic
goodnight g'nite
How cute is he? He's very pretty, looks maybe, what, a year old? Two? His tail is very full and almost raccoon-like. He's got that tabby "M" on his forehead too.
Goodnight G'Nite, sweet dreams.
well he's fully "intact" so I'd say about a year, he is a lovely nature too, very purry, rub on your leggy, lie beside youey
he is a pretty cat, lovely eyes
Maybe if he's around your others, they'd learn to tolerate him. I know when I first brought Rain home, Dumplin would have nothing to do with him for three days (or me either!). Then, he just started paying attention to the baby, played with him, taught him Big Boy Cat things, made sure he ate first, etc. And now they're ok with each other.
I just had a go of hubby's whizz bang new expensive welding helmet, it automatically goes dark when you hit the arc
I wore it and he did it, but it was about the 4th time that I was brave enough to keep my eyes open
very very cool
I must have another go welding one day too, it's quite fun
actually it's funny how often people say welding on tv when they are showing oxy cutting, or want stuff to look really impressive so just hit steel with a grinder to make lots of sparks. They do it a lot in shows where they go into some "industrial site" for some reason everyone is always grinding.
sorry just an aside for all the metal working fans lol
mayo,
this morning was a morning of yellow sunshine and sweet breezes. on the way in, we stopped at my sister's workplace, and that's when the day pulled me out into it. i declined the rest of the ride, and walked into town.
it was only a mile and a half, it didn't take me long. i carried my travel cup of coffee in one hand, kept my backpack slung over one shoulder, and listened to mcr the entire way (the beat of the songs timed perfectly to my footsteps).
it was so good to step out to my full stride.
i realized, while waiting at the corner to cross to the shop, that i don't walk much here, not like that. there isn't really anywhere to walk to. it's a small town.
and even though i think this is where i need to be right now, i don't think i'll be able to live here for long.
yesterday morning when i awoke, it was with the memory of a dream of being back in new york. i could feel the sidewalk under my feet, hear the sounds of the city, and the odd sense that i left there with, that there was a neighborhood there waiting for me, was fresh in my heart.
i won't be able to live here for long.
good night mayo. don't forget to stretch your legs every once in a while.
I'm not wrong.
Not wrong about what?
That the sky is blue and the earth is round...and some things never change.
Sadly enough, that's true. In any given situation, you have to be ready and willing to change. Otherwise, you stagnate, wither, and die.
sky is a lovely blue here
are you having nice weather there J?
For the moment...it's been raining off and on most of the week. Several thunderstorms, highs in the 80s and 90s. We're supposed to have a nice weekend, then the rain starts again Tuesday, I think. Are you in your rainy season there?
not supposed to be, winter is a dry season, but apparently not this year!
very funny email conversation
like the 7 legged spider one MJ posted ages ago
LMAO
Dear Helen,
No. I have a goldfish but due to the air conditioner in my apartment being stuck on a constant two degrees celcius, the water in its bowl is iced over and he has not moved for a while so I do not think he is capable of disturbing the neighbours. The ducks in the bathroom are not mine. The noise which my neighbours possibly mistook for a dog in the apartment is just the looping tape I have of dogs barking which I play at high volume while I am at work to deter potential burglars from breaking in and stealing my tupperware. I need it to keep food fresh. Once I ate leftover chinese that had been kept in an unsealed container and I experienced complete awareness. The next night I tried eating it again but only experienced chest pains and diarrhoea.
Regards, David.
david thorne is brilliant. he knows his snark and sarcasm. he eats drinks and breaths it.
Oh my cow, that's too funny, Ergo! I'm gonna send the link to my nephew, he'll love it.
it's good isn't it anon, it looks like he is an aussie too
very funny guy
Australians are funny and witty ergo.
isn't it J!
I am going to send the link to some friends too
I didn't take the time to look, is the seven-legged spider story on there too?
U think if you click on the words in the into paragraph it's a link
I didn't try but it looked to be

So how was your day? Mine was pretty damn good. Stormy and I spent the day out enjoying the beautiful weather and searching through garage sales for treasures. For her that means mostly jewelry, CD’s and things of that nature. For me I’m usually searching for books. But today as I walked up to a sale I saw an abacus. Not the usual small ones you see from time to time but a very large one. And for some reason, I still do not understand, I wanted it. Stormy followed my gaze, sighed and said “We’ll be putting that in the car, won’t we?” Yep, my girls have lived with my eclectic nature their whole lives. So as I paid my $2.00 she hauled it to the car. I will find out eventually why this item “called” to me. Perhaps it was for me or perhaps I will encounter someone else who will love it and it will become a gift. I’ll just wait and see.
Abacus
At another sale I found a box of antique glass telephone insulators. Now at one time these were fairly collectable. Alas, as with most antiques, their popularity peaked and now the market for these is small. As I stood looking at them an elderly man walked up and began telling me that he had collected them for year but he felt it was time to let them go. I could tell by the way he spoke that this collection had been very important to him at one time. He told me how he loved to actually pick them up back at the time they were being replaced by new technology. Then he asked me if I was interested in them. This question was difficult for me to answer. Yes, I was interested in them but not as a collector item. I wanted to line my deck rail with them. These heavy blue glass pieces are truly art. They have different shapes and the blue colors vary. In the sunlight they are beautiful. But I wondered if he would be hurt if I told him my intensions for these insulators. I mean using them as display pieces on a deck is a far cry from placing them in a collection. However I decided to be honest and told him what I wanted to do. He looked puzzled a moment then smiled. He told me that he thought that was a great idea and that he was sure my deck would be beautiful with them displayed. When he went into the house to grab some paper to place around each one for transport he wife told me softly that she was glad someone was buying them. Seems he’d put them in a garage sale before but the box had gone untouched. He’s been disappointed no one had given them a second glance.
This made me realize something. These old insulators to some had no value but to this man and me they were treasures. I looked at them and realized they had a beauty and a purpose others didn’t see. I think life gives us treasures each day but sometimes we fail to realize this. We take what’s tossed our way and fail to look below the surface. There is beauty in the most ordinary things if we take the time to see it.
Mayo, look at what life has given you and don’t fail to see beyond the surface. It is truly beautiful.
Night Mayo
Elena (the abacus has a reason too, I will figure it out)

Goodnight SS, I...don't know, but...goodnight.
You'd better watch out SS. Looks like you're in her bad books and she's not happy with you! She's likely to fly into a rage with you at any moment. The warning signs are there.
4:29
You are doing nothing but baiting OPJ. She knows better than to respond to you. SS knows better than to listen to you. Why don't you and your friends go away and leave these people alone?
I don't know what you're talking about. It's obvious she's pissed at him. This isn't the way her usual goodnight message to him goes.
4:56 why are making assumptions that any anon that says anything about the OP's is K or her "group". I could be anyone.
Furthermore neither SS or Mayo are special. They are bloggers just like each and every one of you.
^It could be anyone.
Thank you 5:48/5:51. I'm not K or one of her friends. All I was doing was making a simple observation about the way OPJ was writing to SS. She's mad at him.
Probably because he hasn't sat on her old lady blanket for a while...
I bet he has something she'd like to sit on and it ain't a blanket.
Cut it out.
His face or his...
chair
Eeeew 6:43. You just grossed me out with that mental image. DNW!
If you believe OPJ is the only one here who finds SS attractive then you must be blind. Isn't that right K? You and your friends gush over him everytime he shows up. That's the real reason behind a lot of the hatred the porkies have spewed towards OPJ.
Mayo
I just watched Blazing Saddles - again,
Have to say that film has the best horse punch in history
(though pretty much the only horse punch in history!)
Hope you have a lovely Saturday
much love EP xx
SS
It's a full moon here tonight (or must be close to a full moon)
It's really pretty.
Have you ever seen the bunny in the moon?
I know they always talk about "man in the moon" but to me, from here it looks like a bunny sitting in flowers.
Hope you get the chance one day
lotsa love EP xx
goodnight blogbelieve see you in my morning

In the Mood for something pretty this beautiful morning
On this day of your life, we believe God wants you to know...
... that every little part of you is magical.
Yes, even the parts that hurt, even the ones that are feeling disease right now. It's alright to love what is in pain. More than alright, that's exactly where your love is needed the most. So why not touch that part that hurts and smile at it, at yourself through it, and whisper: ''I love you.''
Mayo and SS
Are both you out enjoying this beautiful day? It's my deepest wish that you are and that tomorrow brings even more happiness to you guys.
My thoughts for Mayo and SS extend to everyone on this blog.
Take care.

oh pretty photos, I like the pink one
why is it whenever I dye my hair I drop it on the floor, miss a bit when wiping it up, step in it and then end up not only with smudges on the floor but dalmatian spots on my soles?

Dear SS,
How are you doing, honeybun? I hope you had a marvelous day today. What did you get into? Were you busy, or was it a lazy Saturday for you? I spent part of the day with my mom and sister, which is always a crap-shoot in regards to moods/attitudes. Luckily today was a good one.
I've been trying to motivate myself to pack some more, but damn if I just can't get into it. Did I tell you: our apt's outer wall has been sliding slowly down the hill for several years. We also have two BIG cracks in the floor in the living room, which you can see through the carpet. Turns out that when the building was initially built, part of the foundation was LEFT OUT. Yes, the lower part of the pole in the middle of the whole wall (which makes up the LR and my bedroom)was left comPLETEly out.
We live on the very bottom floor.
I'm thinking we're lucky it hasn't caved in by now.
So, because of this, the management is paying to move us to another apt in the same complex. We have to pack up everything we own and have accumulated over the past 8 years, and move it...about two blocks.
This will be fun. *coughsarcasmcough*
Anyhoo, moving on (sorry for the pun). Mom has a neurologist appt Monday to find out why her head and neck keep hurting so badly. I'm chauffering b/c they're doing a CT scan; she gets a little wobbly after one of those. As my dad used to say, hold a good thought for her on Monday, please? Thank you, darlin.
This is quite a note, isn't it? I thought I'd make up for last night's one-liner, since somebody thought I was mad at you. Not even. Don't know if you've seen it, but I wrote you a blogpost the other day at my place. If they'd checked, those people would've seen how NOT mad I am. You even got a clicky link with Muppets in it, for cryin out loud! And it's a dang good one, too. The Swedish Chef vs. the Lobsters. Brilliant!
No, I'm not angry with you. Hell, you'd KNOW if I was angry with you. People in EUROPE would know if I was angry with you! ;D You know me, quick to light the fuse, but equally quick to douse it.
Whew, I think I've finally run out of steam. I want to give you a song from a wonderful animated movie called "The Point". It was written and performed by Harry Nilsson (Cat's In the Cradle) back in the '70s. It's the story of a little boy named Oblio who's born pointless in a village of nothing but points. B/c of his "defect", he and his dog are banished to the Pointless Forest. This song is one that I'll still start singing randomly, 30+ years later. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And take a look at the whole movie.
Are You Sleeping~~
Goodnight, baby. I love you.
My heart to yours, always.
TJ? What the fuck? "Bahving"?
We gotta add that one to the Mayo Dictionary.
Hey Ergo, hey Anon, how're y'all?
hi J!
I think Tj's fingers may be settling down after the promise of colouring, but they seem feisty today
oh! but i do have pics, ergo!
it's funny, i didn't actually meet the artist until just recently. he and a friend of his were having an art party awhile back, and i wanted to go (it sounded interesting), but i was getting ready for the quilt show, and missed it.
the party was in the unfinished upstairs ballroom in the teahouse that's in the block behind the quilt shop, there's only a parking lot between us and them.
during the quilt show, we promoted the teahouse and they promoted our shop, and they even made us a bunch of iced green tea. (it was delicious!) that's how i met the woman who runs the teashop, and when she heard that i had missed the party, she took me up to see the room. there were still some paintings up on the walls.
i loved these ones that i bought right away, and she took down my info,and i began a nice game of phone-tag with joshua, the artist.
finally met him at the arts festival a few weeks ago, but he had forgot to bring my paintings! so we hung out and talked for a bit instead, and he promised he'd get my paintings to me. (i didn't mind just hanging out with him, though -- he's a cutie!)
today he just stopped by the shop, just like that! and now i have my paintings, and i like them more and more the longer i look at them. they're like tattoos that have exploded on your skin, graceful and violent.
here's all three paintings together.
here's a close-up of the first one.
what a long story that turned out to be!
Feisty Hands! Like DangerHand! Sort of. Maybe. Are we sure it's not the heinous Typo Faeries again?
hi there j.! how the heck do the builders leave out part of the foundation? a missing post-it note?
It's like, "Oh, we don't need to use the longer, approved pole, let's use the one that's about THREE FEET TOO SHORT!" These things have been here for at least 20 years if not longer. It's a wonder they're still standing.
I like the third painting the best, I think.
wow what cool paintings, are they titled?
they look like intestine or worms, and I love the mix of colour splashes and the details
J Dangerhand and feisty hands, dare I imagine!! lol
it's a miracle building, j.! wow, though.
there's something very appealing about them, isn't there? he doesn't have anything online, or i'd post a link.
J you all in the complex are very lucky it hasn't collapsed!! I hope the builders are being pursued for their negligence, I mean 3 feet isn't the same as an inch or so out!!!
LOL TJ, "Post-It Note Builders Pty. Ltd."
Those three paintings have a distinct Far Eastern vibe to them. Are there actual 'things' in them, or are they simply abstract?
Feisty DangerHands! A new superhero...
...that you MAY not want having to carry you out of a burning building.
O_o
they're untitled, ergo. joshua and i were talking about them today when he brought them over, and i told him what i wrote here, about how they're like the exploding tatto. he thought that was pretty great. :)
but it's just so exciting to have new art! i've a few pieces from friends back in college, of course, and a couple of fabric art pieces i picked up (and my own stuff, too, of course), but it's been awhile! and with the arts community here, i might be able to add a few more pieces before i go. :)
they're abstracts, j., which i'm not usually attracted to (i like the human figure too much), but these just have a grace i couldn't resist.
J if he did you'd enjoy the experience!
..aaaand I'll stop now
I'll have to post a pic of the painting my niece did for me a few years ago. It's a cat's eye, up-close, with what looks like a globe imprinted on the iris. It's really different, and I like it a lot.
oh, yes, please do! that would be neat to see, j. :)
If I don't do it in the next couple days, TJ, remind me. You know how my memory is.
yes J I'd like to see it too
lol, i'll remind you, j. :)
Thank you, ladies. She modeled it from Dumplin's eye, although in the painting the iris is green, where in real life his are more cream-colored than anything. They used to change shades from deep yellow to amber to a yellowy-green, but now they're just...not a color, exactly.
That's the Bombay in him.
oh do Bombay's eyes fade as they age?
brb
i noticed that about my cat's eyes, too, j. depending on the light her eyes would be honey or jade. i loved the jade the best.
so pretty. :)
I had a cat that had one orange and one blue eye, so I called him Bowie
that's perfect! :)
i remember my cousins had a dog with these icy blue eyes, so spooky!
oh that is one eye colour I really don't like, I know the one you mean, I have seen dogs with it, and it's even more unnerving in people
my dad had a young guy worked with him for a while who wasn't bad looking (well ok he was pretty cute), but he had pale grey eyes, plus when you asked him anything it was almost like you could see a little silver ball running down sloping ramps as he thought about it
i've heard that from people before, that the pale blue is disquieting. it makes me wonder if it isn;t some genetic remnant?maybe there was prehistoric predator that found proto-humans particularly tasty.
well it is a human trait to not like pale eyes, so to speak, as you see the pupils so clearly, and small pupils are aggressive, as they contract, whereas if someone likes you the pupils dilate and the eyes look darker
you know dark eyed people are much better liars than blue eyed as the pupil isn't as obvious
And is the reason people like a lot of the "cute" animals and toys and anime, it's the overly large dark eyes, esp the pupils. it;s a thing in babies too, larger eyes to head ratio
oh they usually touch up the girls eyes in porn magazines too, to have larger pupis, so there is that connection to the viewer
and of course the use of belladonna by women
*come in singing*
"Can I play with madness ~ the prophet stared at his crystal ball
Can I play with madness ~ there's no vision there at all
Can I play with madness ~ the prophet looked and he laughed at me

MAIDEN MAIDEN MAIDEN MAIDEN !!!!
Hello Mayo, SS, Ergo, J, Amy, Elena, TJ, various anons and lurkers!
Did you all see the Maiden documentary "Flight 666"?! It was incredible!!!! Best tour documentary I've seen in a long, long, loooooong time!!!
It was near orgasmic! Well, it was that good for me ~ at least!
:P
I want to take a trip, somewhere on the 757 flight 666. What's one more little 6?
;)
Amy and Sweetcheeks: Ya'll must watch it if ya'll missed it. The DVD will be available on Tuesday and it is definitely worth having!
TJ: Cool paintings!!! It's so good to see you excited about art again. Did I read you have another date coming up? YAY for that too!!
J(uicey): How are you? I've missed running into you (here)!! You best get busy with that packing missy. I don't want that apartment building crashing down on you and L!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing the painting your niece did too. Is this the niece who goes to Tulane?
Ergo: *smoooooooch* Any luck finding a home for Tom yet? If I lived near you I would run over and grab him. He goes perfect with my little Noel!
I must now go shower and try to come down from this Iron Maiden high. Although, I don't think it will work. I'll probably be on this Maiden hight until The New York Dolls's high kicks in tomorrow night.
Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to suffer!
Have fun ladies! Goodnight and sweet dreams to one and all!!!
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~
6/Wendy
Hi PJ, DG, MissT, Mya, AG and SIM!
Sorry I wandered off there, had something to attend to.
As far as I know, Ergo, Bombays' eyes don't fade, but I could be wrong. There's a range of eye color from yellow to copper, which is supposed to be the top show quality color.
Those icy-blue eyes are really gorgeous, especially in solid white cats. Icy-green are pretty in torties.
Girls, I'ma heading for bed. Good to see you! I'll try to come back tomorrow. Goodnight Ergo, TJ, and anyone else who may come in later!
Mayo, we need a new post, dude.
SS--oh right, I already said it. Let's go get my old lady blanket and watch the stars. ;D
xo
goodnight J sweet dreams
and it should be about a full moon to watch too
hey wendy
*smoooch* no home yet but he's pretty comfy just now
me!

oh they usually touch up the girls eyes in porn magazines too, ~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ergo: I just had to run back in to LOL about that little bit of scientific information/how to photography tip!!!
I guess turning the AC way down to near freezing doesn't work on pupils, huh?
*blows night night kisses*
yay!!!
*happy dance*
good night j., and good night wendy!
ergo, i knew that about the big dark eyes being cuter, but i didn't connect it to the dislike of pale eyes, that's interesting!
and the lying. hmmm.
but i always tell the truth.
*bambi eyes*
*runs back in ONCE more*
Dang it, Ergo... I was almost out the door; but, you know I had to come back to do a:
*happy dance for your victory*
Congratulations Ergo!!!!
*throws confetti as she happy dances out the door*
lol wendy!
*shakes of confetti*
TJ it's all that seeing the pupils, a lot of the subconscious signals we pick up are through the eyes, and they are the one thing virtually impossible to control
it's true, you can get a lot from someone you're talking to in person.
which is why people choose mediums where they don't have to talk eye to eye for uncomfortable subjects
it really is true that "the eyes are the window to the soul"
I always look people in the eyes, not staring just normally, and I hate it if someone keeps looking away. I keep wondering why.
i think i'm going to get myself off to bed, tiredness just snuck up on me!
good night ergo, it's good to chat with you! and keep an eye on that hair of yours! *hee*
sweet dreams. :)
i find i look poeple in the eyes when i'm talking with them, too. it just seems rude to look away, as if i'm not paying attention to them.
good night again! :)
Mayo
Well I’ve been sitting here tonight trying to decide what I want to say. Then it hit me…why do I have to say anything? I don’t. If you don’t know by now what I wish for you then you haven’t been paying attention. But I’m sure you have and you do know. I’m also sure you know how much you are missed.
You know sometimes just sitting in silence with a friend is comforting. No words are needed. And while I do chatter way too much at times, there are times I sit quietly. This is one of them. I have no sadness making me this way. Actually I’m feeling fine with the world.
So as I type these words the sounds of the night float through my open window and I listen. And I feel you are listening too.
Night Mayo
Elena (even in silence)
goodnight Tj sweet dreams
hi elena, or sweet dreams if you're just happy to stay sitting quietly, I like doing that too
mayo,
(had to stop after i typed your name, it's funny but it just suddenly struck me how many times i've written it.)
it went just as i thought it would, when i brought home my new paintings tonight and showed them off, the only positive thing my mom could find to say was that the colors were very bold.
i knew they wouldn't be to her taste. *heh*
but i didn't bring them home for her, i brought them home for me. they feel like a promise. i had no intention of buying any art when i went up to look, and i really have better (and more sensible) things to do with my money, but if you could have seen how giddy happy i was in the shop today after the artist brought me the paintings, you wouldn't doubt that it was the right thing to do.
all my life, i have been "the creative one", the one who wrote stories and drew pictures, the little girl who was going to grow up to be an artist and a writer.
and i am.
sorta.
but the little things of the day-to-day distract me (i am soooo easily distracted sometimes) and i end up not writing, not creating.
the paintings are a reminder that i'm an artist too, and a promise to live a creative life. i look at them and i remember sitting for paintings in the studios of friends back at school, and working on ink drawings and ceramics and color theory, and seeing the world in that particular way you need in order to draw. losing my awareness of my surroundings because the story i was writing up on the keyboard engulfed me. coming back from helping my friend take down the stage and hearing muted fragments of songs coming from the practice rooms, a soprano warming up her voice, the piano running through a ragtime cascade of notes, a repeated string of brassy horn, stacatto and bright.
i get up, i watch music videos while i eat breakfast, i go to work, i journal, i schmooze quilters, i come home, i watch a movie, i go online...
i forget who i am.
maybe the paintings will help remind me, as well as bring me beauty. (and bold colors. *grin*)
good night mayo. don't forget to go and take a peek at the moon. she's very bright this month, and very beautiful.
Sweet sounds of the night are being silenced by thunder. Holy crap there is a huge storm headed this way.
Hey, how much is this like my life? Just when I think things are settling down, BAM. Yep, that's how it goes.
But it's a beautiful light show out there. And Mayo, you are watching it with me.
November Night
Listen. . .
With faint dry sound,
Like steps of passing ghosts,
The leaves, frost-crisp'd, break from the trees
And fall.
Hello everyone, just a short note to say happy Sunday, or Monday, or whatever-day it is in your world. Punk Central is quiet this early afternoon: one cat sleeping, one avoiding his meds; one bunny running loose and the other hangin in his "box". L's home tomorrow, I think I'm gonna pack some today. Yeah, big plans here.
Catch y'all later tonight!
