I hate to see you
When you're falling apart
Can't you start over, again?
Elizabeth crumbles
Alone in her chair
Keeps her windows shut
To keep out the air
Elizabeth crumbles
Alone in her bed
Spends all her pastime
Mulled in her dread
What keeps her living
Is her fear of being
Anywhere other than here
So they’ll feed her too much
Or it’s never enough,
Then it's fuck you
“Get the hell out of here!"
Elizabeth stumbles
Over everything I've said
Pining words are useless
Pushed round in her head
The mystery was my bravery
I never knew what I'd get
Will it be her fear or regret?
Her confusion my denial?
Walked her shoes a while
Now she can’t turn back
So she said then she’ll stay
And I will walk away
Elizabeth mumbles
Over and over my name
Forgetting tomorrow
Will never be the same
She’s repeating her beating
Did you bring her a drink?
Why are you leaving?
What the hell do you think?
That she’ll fuck you
To get the hell out of here
Elizabeth tumbles
Out onto the floor
With an abandon of reason
It is herself abhorred
She sat alone in her room
Pouring over her gloom
Never got out of her chair
And they don't even care
Now that they’ve all receded
Into the ground or fleeted
To the wormholes
And woodwork back there
You'll find repair
Where that memory
Becomes illusory
Look, again?
p.s. in the end it is what you think you will get.

and speaking of negativity, i think there has been enough of it here.

don't care
he's good isn't he.
then take a stand 10:02
i am standing.
So I get home and things have turned to shit here. Not gonna say what but believe me it's a long list.
Now I sit at my deck and look at the piles of comics I need to deal with but fuck it I don't feel like it.
SO here I am looking for someone to have a nice chat with. Is there anyone here who doesn't want to talk about death, destruction, the plague ect ect?
Looking for a good, possibly funny discussion.
Anyone? Anyone?
I see.
Can't argue with your logic. You don't like this place and don't think the ones who want to be here should be here, so you keep posting your opinion over and over to make sure no one wants to come in and talk, since they will be ridiculed and harrased.
Go on, continue until you feel better about yourself. I'm sure you need it.
Hello, Elena. How are you doing? Ignore them. What they are doing is for them, not anyone else.
10:08 how can one argue with your flawless argument?
bravo
Well hello 10:10
Don't worry I'm good at ignoring. How are you?
I'm fine, thanks.
What comics do you have?
Go on, continue until you feel better about yourself. I'm sure you need it. yes, i need it. i'm so disturbed. guess i fit in well here.
i'm so lucky that a psychologically stable anon can come and say these things to me.
golly, thanks.
Right now I'm going through a box of comics I got the other day. There are some really interesting titles. There is one called "Fear Effect". I read the first issue and it's good. Too bad there aren't any more of that title in the box.
Can't argue with your logic. You don't like this place and don't think the ones who want to be here should be here, so you keep posting your opinion over and over to make sure no one wants to come in and talk, since they will be ridiculed and harrased. that's your reasoning, not mine.
and...
i'm not ridiculing anyone. just mayo. get your facts straight.
I just checked "Fear Effect" and it looks good. Do you know how many issues there are?
I'm glad you had a good time at your concert.
i suppose if i had to post my profound thoughts on nothing, why not do it to an audience of people so willing to be captivated by me.
hi.
*little wave*
:)
Hello, Toujours. How are you today?
No actually I don't know. I haven't had a chance to look that up but I will. Hana is a kick ass woman fighting demons. Don't get much better than that.
Oh and thanks. I really did have a great time at the concert. Been a while since I went to one and I'd almost forgotten how much I love to be part of the crowd, all that energy.
Hey TJ
What's up?
what's the problem here? nothing.
he can keep his blog, make it "invite only" invite all you "favorites" and you can be one happy family there.
I love going to shows. The music, the crowd, everything. It really does electrify you. Music is one of the most powerful forces in the world.
I know you said you would rather not talk of death, but I know you ghost hunt, and Toujours works in a haunted place, so I wonder if you mind if I ask your opinion about something.
hi anon, hi elena. i'm not too bad. after work today i went over to the arts festival to meet the artist and buy my paintings...and he forgot them!
hmph.
but he was really cute, so...i guess it's okay...
lol
how are you guys?
a ghost question? ooooh.
*sits down*
*all ears*
Ask away Anon.
so mayo, the conversations taking place now, can still be happening on a private blog.
this way you will no longer be bothered by the likes of me and others who don't like this place, or others who are just downright cruel to some.
After Miss Tottenham posted the link to a ghost picture, it got me to thinking.
Different scenarios,
A man dies in the 1700's and becomes a ghost. Does the world change around him, or does it always look the same to him as it did in the 1700's?
Some ghosts seem to interact with people, and some seem to be going about their normal business, not noticing the living. Why the difference?
What makes a ghost? Why do some choose to stay and others don't? I've heard some stay after a violent or wronged death, but other ghosts are of people who died with none of the above attached the the death.
Lastly, going on the string theory, is it possible for a ghost to be a living person who "drops in" on another time for a moment, then back into their own time?
10:35, that was one of the most ridiculous things I've read.
Suggestion:
IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT, DON'T COME HERE
Pretty simple, but effective.
the string theory is very interesting!
i've always read that the ghosts who don't seem to interact with the people in their environment aren't sentient, but are more like impressions left on a place by a strong personality or event. they get triggered, but only repeat a small event, like a snippet of a tape recording.
i'm still thinking about the 1700's ghost, that's a very intriguing question. it would depend on what his function as a ghost is, don't you think? is he is the remnant of a living person, or an independent soul? and are we bound by the time in which we live, or is it something that exists beyond ourselves?
that makes me think of the whole quantum physics thing about how the observer always changes what is observed, just by witnessing it. can we really be independent of time?
that a very juicy question you've posed!
so mayo, the conversations taking place now, can still be happening on a private blog.
Yes, go make you a private blog anon. You can have conversations with yourself.
Wow great ghost questions.
So not really being an expert I can only give you my ideas on the subject.
First off I think that the world continues to change even for a ghost. Going on that I can see why some are very confused and yeah, even scared, because they don't understand the changes.
As for how ghosts interact with people I think it's their choice. They can interact if they want but I think many choose not to.
As for what makes a ghost I think that is a choice too. I think those that for whatever reason refuse to move on stay here. Some may stay because they still have loved ones they are watching over. Some may stay because they are angry (violent death) and want closure. Others may stay because they are afraid to "go to the light" for fear the life they led will not take them to a good place.
As for the string theory I'm not sure. I've never really given that much thought but it is interesting.
ther's also the idea that maybe the afterlife isn't as fixed as usually thought. maybe what we see as ghosts are bleedthrough personalities from whatever they are experiencing as the afterlife.
like, elena, the ghost in your house that you keep informed on the changes you guys are going to make -- maybe he's not there all the time, but just likes to keep an eye on the place, and checks in.
i really believe that time and space will be understood differently from the other side of life -- so much of what we know about our surroundings and interactions comes from our physical senses. what happens to what we understand and what we are able to do when those aren't the only way to acquire information?
eep. i'm probably edging over into sci-fi/fantasy, aren't i?
it's my default state. *shrugs&grins*
I like your ideas, Elena, Toujours. I would imagine it would be scary for a ghost if the world changed around them over the years.
I wonder if there are ghosts of everyone who has passed, or psychic impressions, and we just don't see them, only at certain times or if they allow us to. Photos taken where ghosts show up but the person taking the photo never saw the ghost at the time seem to suggest that there are more than we think.
Toujours, I never thought about how ghosts experience time and space compared to the living. It may seem like minutes or centuries to them.
I dunno TJ. I think John is always here. It's just a feeling but I really do think he's here but not always open to letting us know it.
anon, minutes or centuries, or even something not like time as we conceptualize it at all. i always start to wonder how much our physicality creates what we know -- it's an accepted fact now that our emotions can affect our health because it's all one system. i don't like to take it as far as the buddhists do, and imagine that this world is all illusion. it's an interesting idea, but i like to think instead how everything we might have divided over the centuries into opposites -- profane & sacred, good & evil, etc. -- might actually be separate parts of a whole.
maybe the dead perceive that wholeness in an entirely different way, a way we can't because we're physical right now.
i have to admit i still don't know how much i believe in ghosts. i believe in an afterlife (well, many, actually. the possibilities are as infinite and varied as humans are!), and i believe that there's a part of ourselves that can remain after the rest, that's just energy, after all...
but all that taps stuff? the orbs, the electronic voices? i just don't know.
now i'm thinking back to sleeping on your couch, elena, and john being there!
*shivery*
Very interesting questions ghosts anon. It's my understanding that a true ghost is the disembodied conscious energy of a once living person. True ghosts also have the ability to communicate with the living so I would think they are aware of time and space. At least to some extent.
Spirit guides, angels, demons and other entities are not considered true ghosts.
TJ if you had stayed in my house longer you would believe. LOL
Oh and one more thought. I think that the more someone is open to the idea that ghosts are real draws the ghosts to that person. I believe they can sense those they can easily reach. Let's face it there are some people who will never believe. No matter what they see or hear their mind will not let them accept the possibility of a ghost. They have built in reasons for everything they see. They can't allow themselves to believe. Sorta like in MIB when he's explaining that aliens are around but people chose not to see because they don't want to. Life is so much easier believing that there is nothing under the surface.
Hi spooks anon, welcome.
10:35, that was one of the most ridiculous things I've read.
Suggestion:
IF YOU DON"T LIKE IT, DON'T COME HERE
Pretty simple, but effective. making excuses for ass-kissing?
Yes, go make you a private blog anon. You can have conversations with yourself. you're an idiot. he does this all the time.
i see what you're saying elena, i've always thought the same thing, the force of one's belief is an important component in magic, too -- but i've never had a definite ghost experience, and yet, i'm a witch, i do magic all the time, i talk to the spirits of things all around me...
i've always wondered why i haven't seen a full-on ghost? like, why didn't i see the girls playing in your yard? i believe completely that you saw them, that they appear, i'm receptive to the idea of spectral appearances.
maybe ghosts just don't like me?
Hello, spooks anon. I like your observations too. And something else to think about.
Elena, I think you are right about the more open you are to the idea, the more you can see. I've read that we are all born with a sixth sense, but that most of us don't try to use it, so we are not aware.
Toujours, true, how much of what we know is real, and how much is an illusion? Who knows, we may be the ghosts to some other dimension.
Thank you for the conversation, tonight, I really enjoyed it. I hope you all have a good night.
Don't know TJ but I'm sure it's not because they don't like you. Perhaps because you're a witch they aren't sure about you. Maybe you somehow confuse them.
Remember I've got me some Kansas ghosts and they don't know much about them witches. LOL
Bye Ghost Anon
And really, thank you. It was nice to sit here and chat. Stop by again soon.
He Elena. Thanks for the welcome. I think life must be boring for those people who believe there is nothing under the surface.A third characteristic requirement for a true ghost is that they exist between the physical and the spirit realm. Belonging to neither realm. They have either been trapped between realms or refuse to move on for some reason.
Stop getting all heated up 11:25. You just have to pretend that Mayo is Gerard Way and kiss his ass like the others on this blog. Then you post your good nights like it means something to him.
good night, ghosts anon! thanks for the great topic, it really got my gears going. :)
lol elena, that's probably it!
but what i meant to say (and missed saying it entirely, d'oh) is that as important as belief is, i think there must be something else that determines whether or not ghosts appear, too.
That was me spooks at 11:32.
Goodnight Elena.
Goodnight Ghost anon.
Goodnight Toujours.
Not caught up have something to say.
This is Mayo's place to express himself. If he doesn't want to do that anymore, then he simply doesn't have too. There is little we can do about it unfortunately.
But IMO, despite the Bullshit behavior of some of us that read and comment here, there has been a lot of amazing experiences that have come out of something as simple as a Blog. I never would have expected such an opportunity. But I never expected to care as I do, either.
I would seriously hope that No One would base their decision to end something, that has created experiences beautiful as well as ugly, on the crap actions of others. No matter how many times they keep doing it. Everywhere you go, you are going to get both beautiful and ugly. I have No understanding of why this is suddenly so strange a concept to people.
Those that comment can use their manners on occasion. It's not Mayo running havoc in here. And despite the fact that there has been shit here for a while now, I still read what Mayo has to say. And I still hope to encounter people and enjoy their company here when I can.
What the fuck else are we supposed to expect from humans? As far as I recall, it wasn't all roses and gumdrops in the begining either. Certain people did get along better, but just like everyone else on this planet, sometimes, the more you get to know a person, the less you like them. I'm quite positive dislike's could have been handled more maturely, but the shit is done. And if people want to continue to act immaturely, then they simply only continue to embarrass Themselves. I don't feel it is on Mayo at all. And no matter what else may go on here, people still read what Mayo has to say, and try to connect to him and each other, here.
If any person expects Everyone, Everywhere to get along like daisy's -then they are plain foolish. And what a horrid world that would be.
And I Honestly don't believe the people anonymously complaining about the possibilty of Mayo ending his blog actually care about him, the people that comment here (how ever Often or Not), or want for a positive outcome of this. I think you see this as a chance to ruin something that is in fact -Something Special. If you want to be a part of this world here, all you have to do is politely strike up a conversation.
It's not brain surgery.
I can understand getting tired of reading the ugly. However, for me it would feel like more than simply losing a door into a strangers mind. As one of the people that feels this blog is special, I don't like the feeling of giving up on people, even if they appear to Deserve it, or Want it. And I feel letting go of a place that does mean something to many people, or hell, even just one, because the crappy behavior of others is simply expected to continue -bothers the shit out of me. It feels like a lame excuse. It also feels like giving up on Mayo, as well.
I've always hoped that Mayo got a litte something back, from those that were willing to share right along with him. The Lovely's, anon's, SS. And hell, even from the people who didn't say anything at all, but read and felt something from his, and the other words given here. All of it is rather amazing if you take the time to think about it.
I am not trying to guilt you Mayo, I am just trying to be fucking honest here.
Truly this is Mayo's place to express himself, even if it means more than that to others. I doubt he had any idea of what would come out of sharing his thoughts here. But the real point is, IF he no longer wants to share his thoughts here, then that is reason enough for him to no longer do so.
Never been so long winded had to cut a comment in half before. Wow. Very sorry guys...
I really would miss this place, the people here and you, Mayo. But I do appreciate the words and opportunity you have given us so far. I just wanted to say thank you for that. I've had quite a time since coming here. And despite that some of it was indeed shit, I wouldn't ask to give it back. I'd have to give back the good I've gotten from here as well, and I have no desire to do that, at all. So thank you Mayo.
-And for fuck's sake, I didn't read 'the end of Blog Believe' in that comment either. Just sayin.
But clearly all that followed has gotten to me. Fuck.
I hope you guys are good. I can't stay. I feel very rude with that. I'm sorry for my obscenely long rant(s) here. But gotta say what you feel, right? Be well guys, love to ya.
Night night<33
I think you are right about being trapped but I believe that they are trapped by their own doing. They stay because the think they need to or because they believe they can't move on.
Here we go blah, blah, blah.
His thoughts are so meaningful, they just need to be here.
The moral police have arrived.
good night, spooks!
hello lewis. :)
Night Spooks anon, take care.
Lewis, I love ya but then you know that. Talk to you soon.
11:33, maybe you're right. maybe i should just kiss ass. you know, go with the flow.
Oh Lewis! you're my hero!!
the police are here? Fuck hide the weed. OH moral police, nevermind.
Beautiful, Elena. *claps*
*gets weed back out. passes to Elena*
I just remembered, you also HAVE to post some crappy love poetry 11:25.
*starts making brownies*
want a brownie, anon? it'll make you feel better about it all.
As an alien dropped in from another dimension I've noted in this strange new world you have to;
kiss ass . who's don't know?
- tell lewis you luv her
- be always ready to offer words of wisdom to this mayo dude
- post crappy poetry
aliens don't consume brownies
I would love a brownie. Hell, I'll take two. And pass them around, I'm thinking there are some here who need them.
Hours of a saturday night to anon a blog of a person you don't like and insult people you don't know.
I envy you soooooo hard!
Before you say "You're here too!" I am making brownies. I have an excuse.
*passes plate of brownies to Elena*
I think we're gonna need that extra bag.
Obviously aliens should consume brownies. Come on, give it a try. Might make you smile.
Anywho, I gotta go. Thanks to those I chatted with tonight. It was fun.
Take care all.
and write posts that equate to war & peace by tolstoy
cuz everything here is so profound
Night, Elena.
lap it up 11:54 you're part of this insanity as well
Welp, you're on your own alien anon. Have fun. I'm out of here too, and I'm taking the rest of the brownies with me.
You were good for a laugh tonight, I'll give you that. You're not as smart as you might think.
Night!
you're right, i'm not smart 11:59.
looks like it doesn't take much to humor you either.
good night elena, good to talk to you tonight! and good night to you, too, brownie anon.
*sniff sniff*
Do I smell brownies?
*snags one on the way to bed*
Goodnight everyone!
Clearly my 'heroic' comments went through. Alrighty anons. I take it all my blah blah back then.
None of the people I've met here, none of what I have read here, none of what has happened here, none of the past nearly two years spent here, means anything at all.
Does it bode better for you thinking encounters big or small mean nothing?
I feel sad for you. Truly.
11:38 PM, just to lighten the mood, you can suck my moral badge baby. ;p
Won't be round for awhile ladies, so I just wanted to say lastly I hope you guys are all well and I apologize for the lack of comm coming on my part. Will check in on ya when I actually can. Be well, thinking of ya, love to ya
<33
good night amyranth, good night lewis. take care of yourself, lewis.
well, i finished my searches, time to get some sleep. good night everyone. sweet dreams. :)
lewis there is no need to waste your sad feelings on me. truly
your feelings are better spent on someone in the real world, that you can actually spend time with and feel in the flesh.
if you can actually meet someone in reality from here, that's great.
and i don't suck moral badges...
mayo,
back in college, i had a favorite place i liked to go when i needed some calm. i would go sit on the grass, cool and hidden behind the cedar and the yew, there in the nun's cemetery at the edge of campus.
all the grave markers were iron crosses, filigreed and painted silver, all in quiet rows behind the hedges and among the statues of saints whose stories i barely knew.
i wasn't catholic, but there's a holiness to certain places that goes beyond creed, and that's how this place was. it truly was a sanctuary.
no ghosts, however.
but not a lonely place, even so.
good night, mayo.
Has nobody here gone to see the new Star Trek?
It doesn't matter whether you liked the old ones or not. You will love it. Go see it!
Mayo
Well I’m down in the hubby’s workshop. I honestly didn’t plan on writing a goodnight but he looked at me and said “So don’t you have to tell that dude goodnight or something?” Seriously I burst out laughing. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised he’s cool with shit since he laughed at my Bert story last night. I think he’s finally starting to chill about things.
Anyway, we are watching “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” right now. I love this movie. Ever seen it? I’m sure you have. It’s a classic.
So goodnight to you, Mayo. No long epic comment from me. (at lease not tonight). Tomorrow night? Yeah, it’s totally a possibility. You take care, my friend.
Night Mayo
Elena (you are magic, Mayo. There, I said it and I mean it)
Mayo
Ever smell a real school bus?
Sorry, I'm at the end of the movie and I just had to share. LOL
Hey Mayo
wow am I in a sharing mood tonight. LOL So now we are watching Shop Erotic. Okay so I'm trying not to laugh when I write this. Let's see, they just showed the Twist and Shout Dong. I am so not going to comment on this. I know you've said you are married so might I suggest you and the mrs watch this show together?
Yeah, I so need to stop posting. Mayo, have a good night. Take care.
I'll see you tomorrow, my friend.
1:44, HOLLA! Star Trek, it kicked ass beyond the telling of it. I'm on my way to a way past my bedtime bedtime because I was watching the Buffy musical for the umpty leventh time with my kid, but wanted to say hi to Mayo, inc. So hi and bye, you gals. I'm not on much anymore, but I still mention you guys on a daily basis, because I'm all nutz like that. Oh, and I bought real actual absinthe today, with the real wormwood, but I'm kinda askairt to drink it. I think I just wanted to own it for the sake of owning it, cause I'm weird like that. And hello and goodnight Mayo, I'm sorry that I don't acknowledge you as much as I should.
nice to see you Carrie. I really want to try absinthe some day.
So now I'm watching Cowboy Bebop the greatest anima ever.
Hey Mayo, you ever watch Cowboy Bebop? I love it.
Good Lord...I see I'm gonna have to whip out the wang again.Ya lucky I'm too damn drunk and exhausted.

He's shared a part of himself with us that perhaps others in his real life haven't seen.
Yes.
hey Mayo!
well no luck in the "fish" department, apart from a few good bites it was victory for the osteichthyes (bony fish lol) we did however come home with two sand crabs which were totally delicious, and got to spend a few hours bumming about doing nothing much on a lovely beach. I will have pics to show you tomorrow :]
And mayo, if you have shared part of yourself to us and not others, I am really honoured.
much love EP xx
SS
hope you are having a lovely weekend. Is it good weather? I hope you ahve the opportunity to get out and enjoy it in whatever way you enjoy. I'll have some pics of my day to show you tomorrow, saw some really cool stuff, even though we lucked out with the fish.
lotsa love EP xx
goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning
♥xx♥
miranth, meant to say hello this morning, so "hello!!"
Lewis love what you said, and drop me an email, let me know how things are going when you get the chance
spook anon, really interesting questions,
and TJ and elena, great thoughts on them. I hadn't thought that maybe the changes are what make spirits discontent. Plus I do think many have wicked senses of humour.
Carrie, nice to see you, if you try the absinthe let me know what it's like, I have always been curious to try the Green Fairy (though my dad told me it wasn't real nice in his opinion lol) maybe I'll get myself some, heck I tried chilli beer the other week and it was really nice!!
goodnight all!!
xx
Elena, Toujours and spooks anon, thank you for the conversation last night and for your insights. I enjoyed speaking with you and reading your theories.
I would love to know what others thought of the subject.

Good day.
I find it odd that so few people here have seen the new Star Trek. Also, nobody has mentioned Fanboys either, which finally came out on DVD so now I don't have to go see it in the dollar theater anymore.
Also, does anybody care if they make a film out of Preacher or not? And if so, do you want James Franco or James Marsden to play Jesse?
Where are the Star Wars, sci-fi and graphic novel nerds?
*sighs and goes back to lj*
A Rabbit as King of the Ghosts
The difficulty to think at the end of day,
When the shapeless shadow covers the sun
And nothing is left except light on your fur—
There was the cat slopping its milk all day,
Fat cat, red tongue, green mind, white milk
And August the most peaceful month.
To be, in the grass, in the peacefullest time,
Without that monument of cat,
The cat forgotten in the moon;
And to feel that the light is a rabbit-light,
In which everything is meant for you
And nothing need be explained;
Then there is nothing to think of. It comes of itself;
And east rushes west and west rushes down,
No matter. The grass is full
And full of yourself. The trees around are for you,
The whole of the wideness of night is for you,
A self that touches all edges,
You become a self that fills the four corners of night.
The red cat hides away in the fur-light
And there you are humped high, humped up,
You are humped higher and higher, black as stone—
You sit with your head like a carving in space
And the little green cat is a bug in the grass.
by Wallace Stevens
On the Sunday morning sidewalks Wishing Lord that I was stoned 'Cause there is something in a Sunday That makes a body feel alone And there's nothin' short of dyin' Half as lonesome as the sound On the sleepin' city side walks Sunday mornin' comin' down
Sunday Morning
I
Complacencies of the peignoir, and late
Coffee and oranges in a sunny chair,
And the green freedom of a cockatoo
Upon a rug mingle to dissipate
The holy hush of ancient sacrifice.
She dreams a little, and she feels the dark
Encroachment of that old catastrophe,
As a calm darkens among water-lights.
The pungent oranges and bright, green wings
Seem things in some procession of the dead,
Winding across wide water, without sound.
The day is like wide water, without sound,
Stilled for the passing of her dreaming feet
Over the seas, to silent Palestine,
Dominion of the blood and sepulchre.
II
Why should she give her bounty to the dead?
What is divinity if it can come
Only in silent shadows and in dreams?
Shall she not find in comforts of the sun,
In pungent fruit and bright, green wings, or else
In any balm or beauty of the earth,
Things to be cherished like the thought of heaven?
Divinity must live within herself:
Passions of rain, or moods in falling snow;
Grievings in loneliness, or unsubdued
Elations when the forest blooms; gusty
Emotions on wet roads on autumn nights;
All pleasures and all pains, remembering
The bough of summer and the winter branch.
These are the measures destined for her soul.

Real..Not Real..You Decide ;)
eeeep!
*runs and hides under bed*
III
Jove in the clouds had his inhuman birth.
No mother suckled him, no sweet land gave
Large-mannered motions to his mythy mind.
He moved among us, as a muttering king,
Magnificent, would move among his hinds,
Until our blood, commingling, virginal,
With heaven, brought such requital to desire
The very hinds discerned it, in a star.
Shall our blood fail? Or shall it come to be
The blood of paradise? And shall the earth
Seem all of paradise that we shall know?
The sky will be much friendlier then than now,
A part of labor and a part of pain,
And next in glory to enduring love,
Not this dividing and indifferent blue.
IV
She says, “I am content when wakened birds,
Before they fly, test the reality
Of misty fields, by their sweet questionings;
But when the birds are gone, and their warm fields
Return no more, where, then, is paradise?”
There is not any haunt of prophesy,
Nor any old chimera of the grave,
Neither the golden underground, nor isle
Melodious, where spirits gat them home,
Nor visionary south, nor cloudy palm
Remote on heaven’s hill, that has endured
As April’s green endures; or will endure
Like her remembrance of awakened birds,
Or her desire for June and evening, tipped
By the consummation of the swallow’s wings.
V
She says, “But in contentment I still feel
The need of some imperishable bliss.”
Death is the mother of beauty; hence from her,
Alone, shall come fulfilment to our dreams
And our desires. Although she strews the leaves
Of sure obliteration on our paths,
The path sick sorrow took, the many paths
Where triumph rang its brassy phrase, or love
Whispered a little out of tenderness,
She makes the willow shiver in the sun
For maidens who were wont to sit and gaze
Upon the grass, relinquished to their feet.
She causes boys to pile new plums and pears
On disregarded plate. The maidens taste
And stray impassioned in the littering leaves.
VI
Is there no change of death in paradise?
Does ripe fruit never fall? Or do the boughs
Hang always heavy in that perfect sky,
Unchanging, yet so like our perishing earth,
With rivers like our own that seek for seas
They never find, the same receding shores
That never touch with inarticulate pang?
Why set the pear upon those river banks
Or spice the shores with odors of the plum?
Alas, that they should wear our colors there,
The silken weavings of our afternoons,
And pick the strings of our insipid lutes!
Death is the mother of beauty, mystical,
Within whose burning bosom we devise
Our earthly mothers waiting, sleeplessly.
VII
Supple and turbulent, a ring of men
Shall chant in orgy on a summer morn
Their boisterous devotion to the sun,
Not as a god, but as a god might be,
Naked among them, like a savage source.
Their chant shall be a chant of paradise,
Out of their blood, returning to the sky;
And in their chant shall enter, voice by voice,
The windy lake wherein their lord delights,
The trees, like serafin, and echoing hills,
That choir among themselves long afterward.
They shall know well the heavenly fellowship
Of men that perish and of summer morn.
And whence they came and whither they shall go
The dew upon their feet shall manifest.
VIII
She hears, upon that water without sound,
A voice that cries, “The tomb in Palestine
Is not the porch of spirits lingering.
It is the grave of Jesus, where he lay.”
We live in an old chaos of the sun,
Or old dependency of day and night,
Or island solitude, unsponsored, free,
Of that wide water, inescapable.
Deer walk upon our mountains, and the quail
Whistle about us their spontaneous cries;
Sweet berries ripen in the wilderness;
And, in the isolation of the sky,
At evening, casual flocks of pigeons make
Ambiguous undulations as they sink,
Downward to darkness, on extended wings.

12:58 Thanks for the link. That is a cool video. Gotta admit I jumped when "she" appeared.
oh and earlier anon wondering about Star Trek and why more people haven't seen it - I'm going on Tuesday. My friend who is a Trekie loved it. I'm pretty sure I will too. As for Star Wars, I love all things Jedi. SO may the force be with you on that one. Stop by anytime to chat about it.
One last thing- Haven't heard anything about Preacher being made into a movie but it would be kick ass. I think it would be great if HBO made it into a series. That could really work.
You knock on the door
She don´t recognize your voice no more
So she got on an airplaine
Not so long after
Stripped down from the fever
Laid down in her hotel bed
Wouldn´t take no phone calls at all
She didn´t want no more voices in her head, now
And that is the way that you feel
That is the way that you feel
If that is the way that you feel, honey, then
That is the way that you feel
In the blue part of the evening
Sometimes its hot
She thinks she hears you coming but
She has stuck against the wall
She want what she want so she do what she do
But now when she looks at you she
Covers one eye ´cause she can see into your mind
She no longer wants to
And that is the way that you feel
That is the way that you feel
If that is the way that you feel, honey, then
That is the way that you feel
Enough with the poetry Porchies. Why don't you just sign in. Admit you never left and sign in. Nothing has really changed too much.
sorry. not a porchie.
The new Star Trek? Are you kidding? I've seen it 3 times and I'll probably see it again tomorrow. It's great. They did such a wonderful job with the casting, especially Spock (my God, he was hot), Bones and Scotty. I liked the new Kirk; he has the swagger down and I enjoyed his performance, but I was a bit distracted by his blue eyes.
Like most Preacher fans, I was skeptical when I read the news about it being picked up by Columbia, and even more so after Watchmen didn't do as well as expected at the box office. I love Preacher, but I'm not sure how I feel about it getting made into a film. I mean, is the world (and America, specifically) really ready for that? I'm not so sure. Don't misunderstand me. I'd definitely go see it. I was really excited back when a potential HBO series was in the works and, consequently, devastated when it got scrapped. Like Elena, I think a mini-series is more likely to do the GN justice.
As for the actor they cast to play Jesse? For me the only choice would be James Marsden. Not only is he perfect for the part lookswise (just throw in some brown contacts and white jeans ^_^), but he's a very talented actor. I'm still really ticked off at the makers of the X-Men series for the abominable way they wrote Cyclops. Both the character and James deserved so much better, but don't even get me started on that.
Oh, and Fanboys! *flails* I went out and bought it the day it came out on DVD. Star Wars geeks breaking into Skywalker Ranch, Jay Baruchel, cameos by Jay and Silent Bob, Billy Dee Williams, Carrie Fisher, and William Shatner! What more could you possibly ask for? Mark Hamill, maybe, but I doubt he could top his cameo in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
And yeah. I can talk about other things besides KOL. Who knew?
I also wanted to say thanks to PP, Wendy and anyone else who expressed appreciation for my KOL links.
I'll probably be back soon with more. ^_^
Have a great rest of the holiday weekend, everyone.
Just wanted to share this. The rose bush has been here since the house was built. That was in 1893. Each year it continues to be this beautiful.
roses
Good to see you KOL anon. Yep, I'm with you on the choice of James Marsden. I think he'd be great in the part.
Thanks, Elena. Gorgeous roses, by the way. ^_^
Thanks KOL
Wish I could post a "smell-o-link" LOL
I walk out on that porch and I'm hit with their beautiful fragrance.
I love the smell of roses, Elena. I'm envious.
I have to tell you that I'm also envious that you got to see TBS and The Used on the same bill. How amazing was that?
I go to a lot of concerts (I've seen TBS half a dozen times), but for some reason, I have the worst luck when it comes to seeing The Used. They never come here; very few bands do. I usually have to travel a couple of hundred miles to the shows I go see and for some reason, every time The Used is playing anywhere near here, I always have a scheduling conflict. I've only seen them once and that was at TOC where they didn't play a full set. They were still excellent, but just once I'd like to see them headlining their own tour.
I'm glad you had a good time at your show.
good morning!
hi elena and hi KOL
sorry ghost anon, I meant to thank you for the questions last night, got you mixed up with spook anon
I haven't seen Star trek yet but I'd like to, I've seen all the seat, I just don't get to the movies much, being so far away from town
oh that is Fanboys? I heard of that in a review, it sounded fun, but I don't know Preacher
however have you seen thay have made the Jonas brothers into a sort of Monkees show?
SACRILEGE!!!!
and beautiful roses elena!!
12:58, every cool video, but must admit it wasn't until I played it full screen I realised what happened after he shut the door!
Hi Ergo. Good to see you. I've been working outside today. Got my water garden all done and trimmed a lot of bushes and trees.
Here's my peonies.

oh wow elena they are lovely!
I'll have some pics soon from yesterday, right now, after my walk, I have an hour of "slowrobics" apparently, it's on the tv and I've never done it so should be interesting!
"slowrobics" sound just like something I'd like. LOL
Talk to ya later.
*phew*
half way through and it's not bad, they ahve no good music though
Ergo my love of creepy comic books just kicked in. I just got to a spot in the box I'm working on that's got some great titles and artwork.
There is "Family Bones", "Route 666", and "Bug Slayer". I'm so happy.
Look at this cool artwork,
WOW
Elena, I like your Peonies! I dug up a bunch of lily bulbs today, and had to relocate them to other areas of the garden. So far, my Battleford Apple tree is awake, all of my Delphiniums, some of the Lamb's Ear is flowering, the Solomon's Seal is going like snot, the Lily of the Valley is perking up, my Morning Glories have been planted, but nothing from them yet, and the rosebush is holding steady.
The dogwood, raspberry, and the honeysuckle are also leafing (is that a word?), and I'm still waiting on the Cherry Tree and the Maple Tree. They have buds, but they seem really reluctant to do anything...
oooh awesome art!!
lacey I want photos!!
back to a bit more abs and stretching
Ergo!
Eventually, the camera cord is still MIA, so I need to get this card filled first, then I'm going to have the pictures loaded to a cd later.

Hi EP
Hi Elena
Hi Mayo
Hi Amy
Bye Amy.
Hallo Anon! Goodnight Anon!
HI Amy
Ergo get back to exercising.
Hey Anon, I loved that show so much. I've seen every episode (over and over again)
hi anon
Oh I used to watch Gilligan's Is all the time!
I have finished now
:]
Ok, I'm not sure why people were thinking that Mayo was going to end the blog.
I also DO NOT get why people are saying that so much bad has happened here or why this blog isn't any good anymore.
Aside from one person having to hear other people's opinions about her and her friends, family whatever, OPINIONS people!! And someone googled her, SO WHAT...? Nothing bad has happened!!
Why are people saying this blog is so bad?
It HAS changed.... for the better.
There is still poetry. Only now the poetry is not being used to upset Amy. It is FOR the people here, not against them.
So it is a little quiet here during the day. So four or five people no longer post pointless poems, songs or quotes. They got butthurt because they "lost" and now they are gone.
The Fix and the Guidelines were great ideas, but guess what? Now they are not necessary!! ANd if you think about it, isn't that so nice?
Now everyone gets along.
So stop saying that something so bad has happened here.
What I see is a big improvement and friendships that MATTER!!
I always wanted to be Mary Ann
Who are the "four or five people that no longer post pointless poems, songs, or quotes"?
It's pretty obvious.
Obviously not.
You've stated your opinion. Some people will agree some people will disagree. Please don't stir the pot by bringing the past. Things have been nice and quiet for almost 48 hours. Is there something you would like to discuss?
I never really did get into Gilligan's actually... might've been the timeframe.
I was weird, I loved Newhart.
Yes, I would like to dicuss the "four or five people that no longer post pointless poems, songs, or quotes".
Twenge, who is herself the mom of a young daughter, talks about some of this in her new book "The Narcissism Epidemic: Living in the Age of Entitlement."
Among other things, she and co-author W. Keith Campbell found the rate that college-age women were developing narcissistic traits was four times that of men, when analyzing surveys taken from 2002 through 2007. It should be noted that, overall, men of that age group still are more likely to exhibit narcissistic traits, including the belief that "If I ruled the world, it would be a much better place."
"But women are catching up, fast," Twenge says. And she thinks the princess syndrome is a factor, given that this generation of young women was young when some of the newer and most popular Disney princess films were released.
Recently, Disney also came out with a line of princess-inspired wedding dresses, aimed at that age group of young women.
"For many women, there's still a piece from childhood to want to be a princess," says Mary Beech, a Disney vice president who helps oversee development of products tied to Disney brands, the princesses included.
That's exactly what worries parents such as David Williams, a father from Fond du Lac, Wis., who has a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son
Though they've given in on a few princess items for their daughter, he says he and his wife have drawn the line on Barbie and Bratz dolls, which he calls "empty-headed girly-girl products." Coincidentally, Mattel Inc., which makes Barbie, recently won a copyright infringement battle that may mean the end of Bratz, a popular but controversial line of dolls that some parents loathed because of the diva-like attitude they encourage.
Meanwhile, Greg Allen, a father who writes a blog called Daddy Types, applauded the recent demise of Club Libby Lu, mall-based stores for girls that focused on makeovers and super-frilliness.
"As a new parent, I dreaded someday having to fight the superficial, idiotic, pop culture-worshipping chain's impending influence on my daughter," he wrote after Saks Inc., which owned Club Libby Lu, announced it would close those stores by this spring. His comments set off a lengthy discussion between those who shared his glee and those who were offended.
There are, after all, many parents who happily go along with the happily ever after.
That made me think of Smoke.
Which Newhart, Amy? The first one or the one where he owned the inn?
I do think it's an age thing Amy, Gilligan's Is in the 70's was one of the only ones of it's kind,
I liked Mary Ann but really would have loved to have been Ginger
"I wanna be loved by you ..boop boop be doo"
larry darryl and darryl
The one where he owned the Inn.
Man, I thought that was the coolest thing. My world view wasn't very big back then though.
Doesn't look like anybody wants your bait 8:48. Move along.
Come watch me! I'm way more interesting.
Oh my God, I loved that show.
"Hello I'm Larry and this is my brother Darryl and this is my other brother Darryl."
Urgh, I'm gonna run guys. Dad wants to play the new Wii game I got fo my birthday, Super Smash Brothers something-or-other. :P
I'll be back in a bit!
You are interesting 8:57.
watch yourself somemore
see you amy
I never really watched Newhart, I probably saw bits of a few episodes
but I did always watch Mary Tyler Noore, and Rhoda then also WKRP in Cincinnati Murphy Brown and Moonlighting
See ya Amy
Ergo I loved WKRP. That was a great show up they messed it up for DVD because they couldn't use the original music. You know the songs they played.
Hello, you.
I wish we could talk. I've missed you.
Goodbye, Me.
oh did they?
that's a shame, it is one that hasn't been replayed here,I hope they do one day, it was great
I do love Reno 911, do you watch that?
I'm not sure who you is but I wish you could talk too, me.
I wish I could talk more too.
myself and I as well.
Is there some reason me, you, myself and I and I can't talk? Are ninja's hiding in the bushes waiting to get us.
Hey guys--
Sorry to worry y'all; we did get your emails, but it's been kind of crazy around here this week.
I've been doing things this weekend to get ready for L's birthday (this Tuesday). Got what shopping I had to do, done yesterday, and still have to wrap things. Went ahead and got L's birthday cake; it's never too soon to have the birthday cake, y'know. ;) And I've got some money saved to take her to Red Lobster (her favorite restaurant) for her birthday dinner.
She's doing alright, still has some trouble with stairs, and does tire herself easily after some medium-sized exertions. Otherwise, she's coming along quite well. The vasculitis (rash) is gone, thank Heaven. She DID do some, uh, creative writing today for SP, and started on some eBay things. :D
We haven't fallen off the edge of the Earth (yet), so it's cool. Thanks, you guys, for checking in on us!
SS, I'll try to come back later and write to you, but if I don't make it back, I hope you're having a grand weekend. Love you bunches.
Ladies...Mayo...I bid you a lovely night, and take care of yourselves.
xo jen

My bush ninjas could kick those bush ninjas asses.
You is a friend I lost touch with. I regret it, a lot.
Glad to hear from you J
Give L a big hug for me.
Talk to you guys later
hey J!
good to hear from you and so glad L is still improving, esp the rash being gone, sounds like you've been very busy!
take care
9:33 don't give up hope. You is probably thinking about you right now.
Okay that sounds weird but you know what I mean.
"But women are catching up, fast," Twenge says. And she thinks the princess syndrome is a factor, given that this generation of young women was young when some of the newer and most popular Disney princess films were released.

There's a princess syndrome now. They actually gave it a name and a wardrobe?
That's just so sad. Does a tiara come with the wedding dress? ;p
Elena, you're sweet. Thanks for that.
ok here are some pics from yesterday
where we were.
sand dollar tracks.
sand dollars, top and bottom.
one of the cool sea anemones we found.
rainbow colours in the clouds on the way home.
the 2 sand crabs before cooking.
ready to eat!
Equally as important, does it come with a prince?
our daughter liked Disney Princesses, but she also loved Jurassic Park and dinosaurs, I thought "well that kinda evens out!"
No prob 9:40.
Hope things work out for you.

May 24, 2009 9:33 PM Maybe. But do your bush ninjas look as pretty in their tiaras and princess ninja wedding dresses as mine?
I hope you sees your message. :)
Ergp
I love the pics. Such a beautiful place and I really like the sand dollar pics. The only ones I've ever seen are dead and dry.
Yes Ergo you have a new spelling of your name.

Buy the princess wedding dress and the tiara and your prince will come. It's in the guarantee.
Read the fine print. You have to kiss 500 frogs first.

O yeah. How do they look in mulberry bushes and fig leaves?
"How do they look in mulberry bushes and fig leaves?"
Itchy
*is itchy*
That wasn't a mulberry bush or a fig leaf. You and your frog mating calls trickted me .
It was poison ivy.
Ninja battle delayed due to search for calamine lotion.
thanks elena and anon
and thanks for my new name! lol
there were sand dollars everywhere, I hadn't seen so many on a beach. if you put them on your hand and stay still they start moving and it tickles
Itchy
May 24, 2009 9:59 PM
Stop that. ;p
oh dear itchy anon
isn't there some phrase about "leaves of three"?
Real ninjas know the battle must go on.
Ergo (not with a p)
I also love the photo of their tracks.
Stop what?

Real ninjas know the battle must go on.
Not if they had those poison ivy leaves where I did.
I surrender. Will remember EPs advice next time and kick some inferior princess bush ninja ass.

I've ordered my ninjas to applaud.
YAY!!!
*happy dance around, carefully with itchy anon, anon and elena, avoiding poison ivy*
*we all bow to applauding ninja*
where did elena go?
i don't know, i didn't see her on my way in...
why are there little bits of leaves everywhere?
*looks closer*
...and throwing stars??
hi TJ!
I just discovered the iTnes genius, well I knew it was there, I just turned it on, it's nifty
how are you?
i'm good, ergo -- i don't know what itnes genius is, but i'm sure it must be delightful. *hee*
loved your pics! the sand dollar tracks were cool and ever so slightly creepy. :)
they are related to starfish, or seastars to be proper
the genius takes your songs from iTunes and you click on a song, click the genius button and it makes a 25 song playlist based on that song
wow, that's a cool feature! makes me wish i could do itunes. :/
oh well. when i upgrade!
it's funny, i knew that about sand dollars, but i just never thought about them moving around like that. i just used to see them in tourist shops down at the waterfront in seattle. or, to be more precise:
i used to see their remains.
ew.
yeah they use the "remains' a lot in tourist stuff, they are much more interesting alive though, the sea anemones were cool too, they are just in the sand but you can't dig them out, they just keep sucking downwards
