Dig into her.

Of all the translations of Charles Baudelaire's Rêve parisien that I have read, this version is my favorite.

Parisian Dream

I

That marvelous landscape of my dream —
Which no eye knows, nor ever will —
At moments, wide awake, I seem
To grasp, and it excites me still.

Sleep, how miraculous you are —
A strange caprice had urged my hand
To banish, as irregular,
All vegetation from that land;

And, proud of what my art had done,
I viewed my painting, knew the great
Intoxicating monotone
Of marble, water, steel and slate.

Staircases and arcades there were
In a long labyrinth, which led
To a vast palace; fountains there
Were gushing gold, and gushing lead.

And many a heavy cataract
Hung like a curtain, — did not fall,
As water does, but hung, compact,
Crystal, on many a metal wall.

Tall nymphs with Titan breasts and knees
Gazed at their images unblurred,
Where groves of colonnades, not trees,
Fringed a deep pool where nothing stirred.

Blue sheets of water, left and right,
Spread between quays of rose and green,
To the world's end and out of sight,
And still expanded, though unseen.

Enchanted rivers, those — with jade
And jasper were their banks bedecked;
Enormous mirrors, dazzled, made
Dizzy by all they did reflect.

And many a Ganges, taciturn
And heedless, in the vaulted air,
Poured out the treasure of its urn
Into a gulf of diamond there.

As architect, it tempted me
To tame the ocean at its source;
And this I did, — I made the sea
Under a jeweled culvert course.

And every color, even black,
Became prismatic, polished, bright;
The liquid gave its glory back
Mounted in iridescent light.

There was no moon, there was no sun, —
For why should sun and moon conspire
To light such prodigies? — each one
Blazed with its own essential fire!

A silence like eternity
Prevailed, there was no sound to hear;
These marvels all were for the eye,
And there was nothing for the ear.

II

I woke; my mind was bright with flame;
I saw the cheap and sordid hole
I live in, and my cares all came
Burrowing back into my soul.

Brutally the twelve strokes of noon
Against my naked ear were hurled;
And a gray sky was drizzling down
Upon this sad, lethargic world.

— Edna St. Vincent Millay, Flowers of Evil (NY: Harper and Brothers, 1936)

Good going SS! You are now as much of a disappointment as Mayo is. We thought you were smarter than that.

SS is just dividing he blog further by visiting them. Can't he even see that? He is just making things worse, not helping.

sdock10 said...

Okay. I'll leave you guys to sort through all "this".*

*has no clue what the fuck it is or what it means

Did you guys know that the sun came up this morning and earth is still spinning?

Does it matter who posted where or what? I mean, really. Really now, does it matter that much? My day is pretty normal so far.

I still had to eat breakfast, brush my teeth, piss, make my bed and so on and so forth.

If worrying about all "this" is your normal day, then how about you try having an abnormal day and see how that works out for ya?

Byeeeeee!

SS has damaged this blog more than Mayo ever did with MWM. He has chosen the wrong side.

Anonymous said...

SS has let down the people that love him and care about him. *shakes head*

Anonymous said...

It was obvious SDock wasn't going to give a clear answer. Gloat gloat gloat blah blah blah.

sdock10 said...

I'm about as clear as muddy river water.

You need to boil me over and open flame first.

Gets out all the mud and gunk and impurities and shit.

yeah at least mayo said he was sorry for what he did and learnt from his mistake. i think the least ss can do is say he is sorry for hurting the people who stay here who are loyal to mayo, unlike the porkies who didn't care enough to stay and try and fix the blog.

Smoke said...

Oh dear God.

The absurdity of all this is just fucking hilarious to me today.

You guys are so damn dramatic.

Really, it's quite funny.

SS! You ruined my life! Mayo! You are such a fucking asshole! Poetry kills and you porkies are stupid! You hurt me with all your stupidness!

Gah, see? Funny.

Mayo,

I'm really sorry you have to deal with this bullshit.

SS,

I'm sorry you get dragged into shit even when you aren't here or haven't been here. Makes no sense whatsoever. Sorry.

You two have a great day regardless, okay?

Anonymous said...

I thought Mayo was a dick. SS has just out-dicked Mayo. Way to go and hurt people SS. I hope you are proud of yourself.

Anonymous said...

I know that when I say this, it is futile.

But my conscience cannot let me leave this place I know is still capable of wonder without asking.

Please stop.

Please.

I can't imagine the hurt you, anons, must feel about this. I know the rage must be formidable.

Please, though.

If I could extend my arms enough to wrap this world and the inhabitants....

Anonymous said...

This is exactly what I mean. If you think hurting peoples feelings is absurd and hilarious then go ahead. I never thought SS would hurt the people he cared about. Why does it not surprise me that you are laughing at other peoples hurt feelings?

Anonymous said...

I think SS needs to know just how betrayed we all feel. If you are just going to gloat and laugh then I suggest you go back to the Porch.

Anonymous said...

The porkies can't stay on their stupid porch. They are too busy coming in here gloating. Don't give them the satisfaction. It probably wasn't even SS anyway. No profile change. I really don't think SS or Mayo like any of the porkies very much anyway.

Anonymous said...

If you read their comments you can see how heartless they are. What kind of person laughs at someone who is upset?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...
You are now as much of a disappointment as Mayo is.

I'm not disappointed in Mayo. Not disappointed in Mayo at all.

Anonymous said...

It is interesting to see you is around this morning. Can it really be coincidence that vile shit happens only when certain people are around, and this includes The Porch too. I have said before but this shit is all about strategy......

Also, I want to comment on Smoke's comment at 9:06am today on the porch. That really is one of the most insensitive pieces of shit I have read in a long time. It is clear you have no understanding or empathy with those who have little or nothing and are caught in the vicious circle of addiction.

Fuck! Some people should never be working with the public, particularly those with special needs.

You should be grateful you are not in their shoes.

Jesus, I'm pissed off!

I'm off to buy a birthday gift.

Have the best Saturday your consciences allow everybody.

And one final thing: scarcasm is really ugly.

Anonymous said...

I'm sorry you're pissed off 9:32. I hope your shopping cheers you up.

Anonymous said...

I'm not disappointed in Mayo. Not disappointed in Mayo at all.

Why is that? Because he posted poetry? Mayo and SS have both made a really big mistake by taking the side of the porkies. Why can't they open their eyes and see how cruel and unkind you are to anyone outside of your own little group?

Smoke said...

Then don't read what I write, Anon. I'm sure I'll piss you off even more if you do.

Anonymous said...

^ because they put on an act whenever Mayo or SS is around.

Anonymous said...

Keep talking Smoke. Then Mayo and SS can see what you are really like.

Smoke said...

I'm not hiding. I am what I am.

I'm a sarcastic bitch and I'm funny as hell.

Who are you?

Smoke said...

Well, I will leave you guys to your bitchfest.

It's absurd. I don't care how you look at it. Totally and completely absurd.

You can hate me all you want but it doesn't change the absurdity of all this.

The word of today is: ABSURD

See ya at the porch! :)

Anonymous said...

9:32

I lived with a person who suffered both major depression and a formidable addiction, and know what they suffer. However I did not interpret Smoke's comment as insensitive. I think you are reading malice into it.

Have a good day.

12 Reasons Why Hurt People Hurt People

It is an old adage that says “hurt people hurt people.”

It is well known that those who have been emotionally damaged tend to inflict their hurt and pain on other people. For example, a large percentage of those who have been sexually abused become the abusers of others; those who suffered under an alcoholic parent often themselves cause their future family to suffer because of their drunken stupors.

The following are common traits hurt people display in their interactions with others.

1. Hurt people often transfer their inner anger onto their family and close friends.

* Often those around them become the recipients of harsh tones and fits of rage because they have unknowingly become the vicarious recipients of transferred rage.

2. Hurt people interpret every word spoken to them through the prism of their pain.

* Because of their pain, ordinary words are often misinterpreted to mean something negative towards them.

* Because of this, they are extremely sensitive and act out of pain instead of reality.

3. Hurt people interpret every action through the prism of their pain.

* Their emotional pain causes them to suspect wrong motives or evil intent behind other people’s actions towards them.

4. Hurt people often portray themselves as victims and carry a “victim spirit”.

* Often hurt people can cry “racism,” “sexism,” “homophobia,” or often use the words “unjust” or “unfair” to describe the way they are being treated, even if there is no truth to this. (That is not to say that sometimes there really is racism or sexism in some instances; this is just used as an example.)

→ Hurt people have a hard time entering into a trusting relationship.
→ Hurt people often carry around a suspicious spirit.

5. Hurt people often alienate others and wonder why no one is there for them.

* They often continually hurt the ones they love and need the most with their self-destructive behavior.

6. Hurt people have the emotional maturity of the age they received their (un-dealt with) hurt.

7. Hurt people are often frustrated and depressed because past pain continually spills over into their present consciousness.

8. Hurt people often occupy themselves with busyness, work, performance, and/or accomplishments as a way of compensating for low self-esteem.

9. Hurt people often attempt to medicate themselves with excessive entertainment, video games, drugs, alcohol, pornography, sexual relationships, or hobbies as a way to forget their pain and run from reality.

10. Hurt people have learned to accommodate their private “false self” or “dark side” which causes them to be duplicitous and lack integrity.

* Often their private life is different from their public life, which causes hypocrisy and compounds feelings of guilt, condemnation, and depression.

11. Hurt people are often frustrated and depressed because past pain continually spills over into their present consciousness.

* In many instances, they may not even be aware of why they are continually frustrated or depressed because they have coped with pain by compartmentalizing it or layering it over with other things over time.

12. Hurt people are often self-absorbed with their own pain and are unaware that they are hurting other people.

* They are often insensitive to other people because their emotional pain limits their capacity for empathy and their capacity for self-awareness.

Why not? Mayo and SS clearly have.

Anonymous said...

9:57 I am not insensitive.

I do not invite trouble into my personal life.

I make intelligent decisions with people that I meet.

Don't twist things 10.00. And don't assume the way you interpret things are the way that everyone should interpret things. I'm sorry you feel that way. This is clearly a misunderstanding and a clash of personalities.

I do not see how they are deliberating laughing at anyone. Almost everyone is sarcastic occasionally. I'm sure you are too.

no she only ever defends mayo. she doesn't even defend her friends from attacks so i can't imagine her defending ss.

i'm going to a military band concert tomorrow. it should be interesting, all those horns. :)

No toujours, just speed typing :)

*heh* for fun or profit? you know, every time my mom comes into the room she says something about the speed of my typing. that's one thing that blogbelieve has definitely given me, all my keyboard skills are improved dramatically! :)

Anonymous said...

Well 10:08 If you actually believe that spending a year living with a manic depressive with a severe substance abuse problem was somehow beneficial to your life, please enlighten me.

I would talk to them, seek help for them, maybe be there in thie times of need.

I would not share a home or my bed with them.

There is a difference between help and bringing a co-dependent relationship into your life.

toujours said...

the way they wrote their time, 10:17.

Anonymous said...

10:17 I hope your spouse, children or anyone else in your family ever develops any kind of addiction or depression or mental illness because I imagine you would probably kick them out of your house for cluttering up your perfect personal life.

toujours said...

There is a difference between help and bringing a co-dependent relationship into your life.

sometimes you might not know someone is having problems when you meet them, or maybe they don't have severe problems at first. it's hard to say. sometimes, maybe the person is worth it, even though they're messed up. i don't think anyone deliberately sets out to have a co-dependent relationship, after all. and once you realize you're in one, what matters is what you do to make it better, whether that's help your partner or help yourself by getting free, and only the person actually in the relationship can figure that out. each situaton is so unique.

Joe is also confused. Joe is not commenting since the thank you. Joe is reading. How many anons are here right now?

Anonymous said...

joe do you have a plunger to take care of this shit?

joe = mayo

Anonymous said...

Well 10:08 If you actually believe that spending a year living with a manic depressive with a severe substance abuse problem was somehow beneficial to your life, please enlighten me.

Anonymous said...

It's Saturday, we get more anons on Saturday.

toujours said...

oh, i see, 10:29. i wasn't paying attention to the earlier parts of that conversation, so i assumed that part referred to something else that was said.

Anonymous said...

I believe there are more than one topic going on at the same time.

toujours said...

yes, there are.

is it too confusing to follow?

Anonymous said...

Toujours,
Joe was mentioned many times during the last Presidental Debate. Joe does not like Obama's tax plan. Joe wants to open his own business one day and plans to earn over 250K a year. Joe does not feel it is fair to tax people who have worked hard to become successful more than others. Joe likes the ideas of a tax freeze and one tax rate for all.

Anonymous said...

I do know this much, when someone is in the pit of depression, there is no reasoning with them.

Anonymous said...

Joe is not Mayo. Joe does have plunger. Catch.

Anonymous said...

And they drive you crazy because they are constantly seeking distractions.

toujours said...

oh! thanks joe, for enlightening me. i didn't watch the debates. politics is not my thing.

Anonymous said...

Joe has a house a call to make.
Good luck with the plunging.

Anonymous said...

And the substance abuse may start as a way to cope, and ends up as a necessity to function.

toujours said...

have a good rest of the day, joe. thanks again. :)

Hey, TJ, how are you today?

Anonymous said...

A group of people tried to take over the blog and dictate what could and couldn't be said. They chased away another group saying they should get out of the spotlight and leave the blog cos their poems were upsetting people and stopping Mayo and SS from giving attention to other people who were more deserving. Then Mayo and SS go and visit them on the Porch.

The irony is beautiful.

toujours said...

hey! l! :D

how are you? how are you doing?

Anonymous said...

HAI OPL! I suppose that was you or J shitting all over SS this morning. You must be mad that your precious visted the porch yesterday.

Anonymous said...

SS knows J has a temper, he has seen it first hand. I bet she was the one saying she was hurt and disppointed with him and that he was worse than Mayo. I can't imagine she was happy that he hung out with the Porchies for OVER AN HOUR.

Original Punk L said...

Anons who are upset, I'm sorry that you are, and please don't think that I don't understand hurt feelings. If SS was at the porch I'm glad to know he is around and posting, and I'm sure he has been here as well. He truly is a kind person and wouldn't let personal issues between others change what he does.

Anonymous said...

Don't be so sure it was him. The porkies enjoy role playing...

Original Punk L said...

No, anons, neither J. or I am upset. I don't expect you to understand that.

Anonymous said...

L, they're baiting you...don't take it.

Original Punk L said...

TJ, I'm doing a little better. Still not up to par, but better. Craving real food though, I can tell ya!

toujours said...

so, l, what are you and j. doing today? anything exciting?

Original Punk L said...

Thank you 10:49. I know all too well the tactics.

Anonymous said...

she wouldn't dare say how she really feels cos then SS will see how selfish she is being by laying a guilt trip on him for visiting the porch.

toujours said...

i'm glad to hear that you're improving! hmm, craving real food -- if it's not torture to talk about it, what are you craving the most?

Anonymous said...

Why would J be jealous when SS visits her blog and leaves sweet messages for her?

Original Punk L said...

Actually, TJ we are! We are going to a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show downtown, and we are going to get the rest of our costume stuff today. Neither of us has been to one of the interactive shows, so this should be fun. I just hope we don't freeze our butts off!

Hi, TJ :) Hi, L :)

I'm quite well today, thank you. Just waiting on the telephone guy to show up. How are you two today?

Anonymous said...

I hope SS acknowledges the hurt he has caused by taking sides with the Porchies.

Original Punk L said...

Hey RW!

TJ, would you belive spagetti? J. had some the other night and I wanted so badly to throw my rice and baby food green beans down, grab it and run! But I resisted.

toujours said...

oh man, l., that sounds like fun! i haven't been to one those either. tbh, when i was younger, i was a bit afraid of audience-participation-type theatre, so even though rocky horror appealed to me, i was relieved there were no showings anywhere near to me.

now, i think it would fun. you guys will give us the full report when you return, right? :)

oh, spaghetti? so i should not tell you that we had that here last week, as well? i hope you can get back to eating what you want, soon, l.

Original Punk L said...

No, TJ, don't tell me about the spag...the....no. :)

Shrimp too. Really want shrimp...

resurrected wreck said...

Are you getting a new phone line or are they repairing?

They're switching my current line over to a cable one. They're usually pretty good about getting to my place in the first 45 minutes of the three hour window when I make my appointment. Here's hoping they're still doing that, as I don't want to hang around my apartment all afternoon waiting!

resurrected wreck said...

I have plans to go shopping (groceries & clothes) after the phone guy's done here, TJ. It's supposed to be nice out today too (though cold), so it'll be good for a walk.

Original Punk L said...

Hopefully they will get there quickly, RW. What is the temp supposed to be there today? We went semi-shopping yesterday before we picked up my car at the E.R. I drove myself there on Tuesday but after many medications, driving was out of the question, so J. brought me home. I didn't want to wake her up because it was so early when I left, but I got fussed at for that one!

today i'm just laying low, l. i have the last merry gentry book to read, and i need to let my ankle heal up. tomorrow afternoon, though, my folks and i are going to attend a military band performance. should be fun -- plus what i'm craving isn't food but live music! any live music!!

Hey guys!

Hello Mayo and S(S)S! I don't have anything yet today, but I am on my wy to the cemetery or to just go parading, maybe. ^_^

For old time's sake I have to leave a message for MY WIFE, R-Something.

I really just want to thank MY WIFE for helping me to complete the novel I wrote three years ago. If it wasn't for MY WIFE I wouldn't have finished it way before I met her.

MY WIFE, the world is ugly. But then you showed your panties and you single-handedly redefined all of feminism, because, you, like, felt like it. You are amaaayzing.

why are you going to the cemetery?just that time of the year?

Hey TJ

I'm making book listing for Amazon right now. Not exciting at all.

toujours said...

playing with books is always exciting, elena. :)

have the baby kitties told you their names yet? or are they still all sleepy babies?

elena said...

The kittens are just sleepy little babies.

I really like the white one. Pretty sure that one will be staying with us. The other two already have foster families waiting for them.

toujours said...

aawwww. sleepy furries. ♥

that's very good that they all already have a place to go. my sister's kitty pride is larger, and only half of them are accounted for now. the other three might end up becoming the new kitties in the house (they already have four or five).

elena said...

I'll try to get a pic of the babies later today. Oh their first baby pictures.

So how is your weather today? It's sunny but very cool here.

toujours said...

*heehee* can't wait to see them! :)

we're about the same. did you guys have that mini-heat wave the other few days? we had the air conditioning on again, it was crazy. i miss the pacific northwest. it's raining there now. *sigh*

elena said...

Yeah it was warmer for a few days. You would have loved our rainy weather yesterday. I wasn't quite as pleased. I went to a huge library sale and bought a bunch of books I had to move in the rain.

oh yeah, that's not fun. :/

when we had a spate of rain here, i left my window open just because i needed the fix, but almost forgot to move the stack of library books that was under it. that would've been bad.

elena said...

That would have been very bad, TJ

So how is your sister? Oh and your ankle?

toujours said...

my sister is all better now, back to work and everything. she was getting bored staying at home being a convalescent. :)

myself, the ankle is just a little better. i'm still lurching aorund the place though. still can't figure out what i did. what a moron. lol

elena said...

Maybe you went dancing in your sleep. LOL

resurrected wreck said...

Sorry I left without signing off. Phone guy arrived.

Phone is not quite working :/ Why can these things never be straightforward?

elena said...

Hello RW

toujours said...

dancing in my sleep, that would be better than twisting it while sitting and reading! i'll take it!

hey resurrected wreck, was he able to fix it?

resurrected wreck said...

It wasn't broken to begin with, TJ, but I rather suspect it is now.

The trouble is that I can dial out, but no one can dial in. It's rather maddening. He called tech control and they're doing some reconnecting or something, and in theory it should work, but if it's not up to snuff in an hour I'm to call the technician who came to my house and he will come back to have another look at it. Which, essentially, means that I'm stuck at my apartment all day

*grumble*

I hate when that happens.

resurrected wreck said...

Hi, MJ :)

How's things?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Things are alright how are things with you

toujours said...

ai, what a bunch of trouble that is! i hope they are able to get it working properly for you. :/

well, i'm afraid i was just ordered to get lunch by my stomach. my head went faint with relief. :)

and i just got my absentee ballot in the mail, i can vote! whoo!

oh yeah.

anyway, see you guys later. bye, elena, bye resurrected wreck - have a good day!

bye mayo, hope your day is a lovely one, too. :)

*gets up*

*lurches off the blog*

resurrected wreck said...

Apart from the phone stuff, not bad.

resurrected wreck said...

Bye, TJ :) Have a good day!

toujours said...

hi and bye martha! :)

elena said...

Hey Martha good to see you.

Bye TJ

RW - phone troubles are bad. I'm just glad we're not still on dial-up.

resurrected wreck said...

Hi, Elena :)

How are you today?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Hello Elena

Hello and bye Tj

Rw I don't use the phone much any more. Too many telemarketers calling.

resurrected wreck said...

I rarely turn my ringer on for the very same reason, MJ. But it's on today.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I just don't answer the phone.

Elena how are things going.

You know I hate Saturday mornings because the cartoons they show now suck. If they are showing cartoons and not that crappy live action Disney shit.

resurrected wreck said...

When I was a kid I used to get up early on Saturday mornings to watch Bugs Bunny, Fat Albert, and The Banana Splits.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Or infomercials.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I did it again. I killed the blog.

resurrected wreck said...

I'm here :)

resurrected wreck said...

Thankfully my internet is still working, even if my phone is not.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Lol RW

Amyranth said...

RW, who are you with? I'm reading on Facebook that several of my friends are having similar problems with their phones and cell phones.

-A

resurrected wreck said...

Honestly, I'd rather have my internet than my phone line.

For emergencies, however, I guess the phone line should come first.

resurrected wreck said...

I'm wirh Rogers, A. It was working fine, but it was being switched from analog to a cable phone line, and is not quite working yet.

The worst part is I am a shut in until the problems get worked out, as someone has to be here to let the techies in. I am missing half my weekend because of this.

Amyranth said...

RW, yup. That's who some of my friends are with. Apparently, they're changing a bunch of servers around too, and it's fucking people up a lot.

-A

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Hello Amy or should I say me

Amyranth said...

Hallo Martha-Me!

We're making turkey stew, would you like to help us? XD

-A

resurrected wreck said...

Is this a recent occurance, A, or has it been going on for a while? I have my Internet throuhg them too, but have had no problem with that.

resurrected wreck said...

HURRAH! It's working now!! ^_^

The techie just called me to check it.

resurrected wreck said...

Now I've got all these ugly cords under my kitchen table to have to decide what to do with O_o

I guess I'll just tape them to the floor along the wall.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I am making salad. I guess that can go with the turkey stew.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Now you can go run wild in the city RW

resurrected wreck said...

Yes, indeed, MJ! :)

On that note, I am off to the mall.

Have a good day, everyone!

elena said...

Hey Amy

Sorry I wandered away for a bit. I was caught up making a listing for a comic and it was giving me grief. Seriously I think Amazon should pay me for this.

Amyranth said...

RW, when you return, it seems to have been the past week or so, and mostly with my friends and family on the East Coast.

Hallo Elena!

MJ, salad sounds great! But how many people are in the kitchen, I wonder?

Well girls, I was only poking in for a second, I gotta run and get the rest of my stew ingredients! I'll see you girls later!

-A

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Have fun RW.

Amy there are 3 people in the kitchen but we are all in one body.

Hello again Elena I will be in and out of the blog for a while

elena said...

Have a great day everyone. I'm off to the bookstore now. Just got a call that it's very busy so go I must.

Take care and be excellent to each other.

Its so funny because a couple days ago I said that the porchies only ever did their stupid poetry to get mayo's attention and i proved it because they never posted it over at 'the porch' anymore THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN the day right AFTER THAT they started doing their lyrics and poetry ROFL. wowwwwwww lame stuff.

Anonymous said...

I still can't believe how fucking stupid all of this is. People get their panties in a bunch over an anonymous person's blog, whose identity is not proven. Then these same people are offended that Mayo is "allowing" poetry and the like. I for one am glad there's poetry! It shows that there's people who are more than one-dimensional. Mayo's love for it also shows he is worldly.

It's the internet, people. It is ridiculous that there are people who feel that someone should dictate what can or can not be on someone's blog. Unless you are the owner of the blog, you have no say! Mayo is the only person to have a say. When he said that the blog is for everyone, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean-- " Everyone can tell me what to do"

And now you're offended that a person whom you never met in real life( or two people, even) DARE go to someone else's blog! The shock! The horror! Oh the noez!

It's the internet. It's not like Mayo is your lover, and his best friend SS is your best friend. They're not going to tittie bars on the side and sleeping with hookers. They're going to somoene's blog, someone who for some reason, is not appreciated here simply because Mayo and SS have deigned to communicate with her. I think it's a matter of jealousy more than anything else.

Grow the fuck up, people. If you don't like the fact that Mayo owns this blog, and that Mayo can write whatever he wants( hidden meaning or not), simply don't come here. He's not holding a gun to your head.

If anything, this is extremely entertaining.

3.09 obv a kapu groupie, go to the porch if you love the potry and stay there

Anonymous said...

How, exactly, does a love of poetry prove a person is worldly?

Not meant to be anything other than what it is. A simple question. I just don't see a connection between loving poetry and being worldly.

Anonymous said...

I also don't see how anybody can say the porchies have been chased away. They're still here every morning. Just look. The only regular daily poster one who hasn't been here is Mustard.
