Investment.

Upon arrival, there isn’t nearly enough air to fill my lungs, so in desperation, I scream. Pulling in all that I can because suddenly I feel empty. The comfortable heavy warmth in my chest has been displaced by vacuum. I have no control over where I am. My arms and legs, unbound, find freedom a challenge. And, although I feel hands pulling and fingers pressing, I have no idea why. It is cold. So, I reach for warmth and I find it in purity. I know where I came from; I did not want to leave and with grief comes depth and in the deep I find surrender. It was warm and I swam in it before I knew you. I would go back, but that was before I saw your eyes, before I was pulled into this world and onto your lap a sloppy mess. I need you and without you I am sure I would not thrive.

p.s. i can only imagine.

Matt Bellamy is pretty dang awesome.

Robert Plant. I had a dream about him a few nights ago. It was odd.

There's lots.

HEY RW!

Me too. Freddy Mercury had the best vocals, and you could really hear his emotion when he would sing. ♥♥♥

It's actually a really lovely recipe that an ex-roommate discovered. You take a piece of whitefish (whatever kind you prefer, I'm using sole), cover it in sour cream, fried onions & mushrooms, parmesan cheese, salt & pepper, and cook it for about 20 minutes. Yum!

I totally agree Martha. But what is interesting, I was just looking at pictures of Maynard from Tool. One of all time favorite bands. I don't think I knew what he looked like for five years. I barely remember seeing them at Lallapolooza. Their videos on MTV never showed them. His voice is pretty damn good though. I never knew how he was as a performer, but I could totally imagine it...

What's my point? Eh, fuck it. :)

Axl rose is a twat

my first rock concert was Guns n Roses.

after Skid Row(they opened) were done, i sat for hours watching bimbo's flash their tits so they could be on the big dumbotron screen, all while fights were breaking out all over the arena.

i didnt even get to see GNR because they decided to hit the stage at 1 o'clock in the morning.

it was the worst concert experience i ever had.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

With videos I find I like the stuff from the 80s. Most of the artist these days just want to out do each other. It's not about making a great image to go with the song. Its about out doing everyone else.

resurrected wreck said...

That sucks, anon & 7:50pm.

Worst concert I ever went to was The Cult. Not because of any embassing crowd antics or prima donna behavior from the band, but because they were totally lacklustre live. Made me wonder why I bothered. I could have just watched them on vid at home & gotten the same effect.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Axl Rose not there is someone with a big head. Every other time i heard about this guy it was because he did something to piss the fans off. Either not performing or just some other bullshit.

"The Prophet"

Kahil Gibran

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.

To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise on your lips.

i'll love you
always

For you, my love.

I need you today, tomorrow, and always.

I Need You

I don't need a lot of things,
I can get by with nothing
Of all the blessings life can bring,
I've always needed something
But I've got all I want
When it comes to loving you
You're my only reason,
You're my only truth

I need you like water
Like breath, like rain
I need you like mercy
From Heaven's gate
There's a freedom in your arms
That carries me through
I need you
You're the hope that moves me
To courage again
You're the love that rescues me
When the cold winds rage
And it's so amazing
'Cause that's just how you are
And I can't turn back now
'Cause you've brought me too far

I love you.

RW, it was a hit at school, but there were a lot of Star Wars fans in our class. Our 7th grade class even put on a play of "Empire". I wrote the scripts out, "directed" (let's use that term VERY loosely) and did the casting. It was hilarious, but not on purpose!

The guy playing Boba Fett was REALLY into his character, Darth had a black towel for his cape and a papier-mache mask.

The teachers were VERY amused.

During recess at elementary school, a group of friends & I played Space 1999.

Do you think he was replaced by aliens or what?

I DID TOO RW!! Sorry, that made me strangely excited.

I think it is only GW who seems less happy and laid back. Mikey had problems but he seems the same.

Mayor Newsom is on the news talking about the ruling today for gay marriage.

9:57, I think this is just the newest version of himself. He seems to be like whomever he is with at the moment.

it sounds weird but i don't think Gerard has been himself since he ended his engagement to Eliza in Europe.

Anon, just my two cents, because I don't know the man, but it seemed like the only time he looked happy recently was BETWEEN the last two relationships. But I have no doubt there is more to it than we know. There are demons there that I don't think Gerard knows how to handle.

You have to be happy with and love yourself before you can give happiness and love to another person. No one can do that for you.

As I said, just my opinion, and I still say there is a kind, good soul in him. Despite what he may think.

Gerard and Lyn-Z can now be legally married.

that's great for those two dudes.

actually RW I figured out what you meant while I was over at my emails.
*duh*

They do but they were younger, less stressed, it was probably still new and exciting (and remember they were often drunk)but they do, it would be hard to feel the same way after years of almost non stop touring. I really think they need a rest.

Mayo,

If you were Gerard, you would have commented on what happened at the show in Las Vegas.

Not here to cause trouble. Just sayin'.

This is so wrong. But you know I laughed.

Anyway I think his evil twin from the mirror universe came out and replaced him.

Isn't it weird how we thought 1999 was so far away back the? Now it's 9 years past!

The only problem with that theory is Mayo has never done anything to even try to confirm.

He has denied being Gerard, and I'll take him at his word. I don't believe Gerard Way has the extra time to keep a blog like this.

Forgive me Amyranth, it was simply something I needed to announce for therapeutic reasons, I guess.

truth that was when the guy got on stage wasn't it?

resurrected wreck said...

Anon @ 10:07pm:

Maya was the first person I ever idolozed, and I got to play her at school. Two blonde classmates also wanted to be her, but as I had the long reddish-brown hair I won out.

One brunette > two blondes... that doesn't happen very often!

Indeed, Ergo.

Anonymous said...

Oooh, so what happened at the Las Vegas show then?

Sorry for barging in guys. At least it's not politics this time.

I've been on the damn phone all day with ex co-workers, finding out a heeeellll of a lot about that place and the people still there. O_O

Original Punk J said...

Ergo,

How do you go from being a shunned teenager who kept to yourself to the limelight where people tell you how wonderful you are, but can you do this for me, and how about this, one more photo, one more signature, etc. WITHOUT wondering what happened?

Without falling into traps and trying to fit in and trying to be who you really are at the same time?

When you don't think anyone wants who you might really be?

L.

Anonymous said...

Oh you already said it. Never mind.

Amyranth said...

Truth, what happened?

You must have been at the show then?

L, my grad year was 1986 - I thought it would never come! Now it seems like a lifetime ago!

RW, I can't remember who I used to play. :( I usually did the boy parts though. I was always Luke when we played Star Wars.

resurrected wreck said...

A, that was the show where an audience member rushed Frank onstage & Gerard put himself between them.

resurrected wreck said...

I always played Luke in Star Wars too :)

I think that's the part that we frequently forget.

what's crazy is i honestly believe that Eliza really loved/still loves Gerard.

Eliza was after him way before Revenge even came out. i don't think she was using him, like somebody else is that's in his life right now.

i don't know ,i can just tell by the way she was talking about him on Chris Gutierrez show. she seemed like she really cares about him.

At the show, a man wandered onstage, was pulled off and dropped a package of bengay ointment. And I think somebody here once mentioned something about that stuff. I just thought if Mayo was connected, he would have written about it. Anyway. That's all.

Amyranth said...

RW, wow. I didn't hear about that!

Crazy Shit, he could have had a weapon or something.

Well, she's not over the break-up in any case, that mush is true. It was obvious even back on that "interview" from a few months ago.

Well...what do you say to that?! :)

L.

Amyranth said...

Truth, nah. If Mayo was Gerard and didn't want us to find out, I doubt he'd do a write up about it. It wouldn't make sense.

Why involve himself with stories of Gerard, if he IS Gerard, and has this blog so he can talk to people on a REAL level instead of "OMG, IT'S GERARD, I LOVE YOUHAVEMYBAYBIESSS!!!one eleventy".

That's my theory.

I know. And security was nowhere to be seen until after Gerard blocked him.

I seem to remember someone saying that Gerard just kept saying "I thought he was going after Frank, I thought he was going after Frank". His heart must have been in his throat.
