So I was in the bath struggling with the notion of not writing you a goodnight. Don’t freak out cause I was thinking about you in the bath. I mean I always look forward to talking to you so I was puzzled as to why I thought I might not want to. Oh look I just ended a sentence with a preposition. I really should go change that but I don’t feel like it so you’re just gonna have to live with it. Well, that sounded rather sarcastic. Man, I’m in a mood tonight. Perhaps that’s why I was thinking of not writing this. Perhaps not.

I cannot believe it's already May. Nearly half the damn year is gone, and I can still remember what I was doing New Years Eve. Gahhh, and I feel so damn old for some reason. The time has flown.

I have more thoughts on the subject especially when it comes to boyfriends on tour, but I will not bore anyone with the details. I think most everything has been said - and there are exceptions in every case. Bottomline, I wish those two all the best as they move on in their lives. Shit happens and all you can do is try to move on and learn from the past.

Carrie, I found it kind of interesting that you addressed your gay ex-boyfriend. When I read her story, it too reminded me a touch of my experience with an ex; and I am not in anyway saying that a certain someone is gay. Not at all! The persistance for someones affection is what triggered it for me. I pursued this one guy relentlessly. A beautiful man that I just lusted over and I drove miles to see him only to get barely anything in return. But somehow I was still led on and I followed the bait blindly ... it was the most confusing and fucked up relationship I ever had.
Needless to say, after many months of the crazy and intoxicating love affair, it was time to walk away. The relationship was poison and I found myself crying everytime I would leave his side or if he didn't want to see me. I lost touch with him, only to find out many years later that he finally came out. Everything seemed to make sense to me. Finally. He is a successful designer (still fucking gorgeous!) in New York and seems to be as happy as can be. Looking back I still can't believe that I put myself through all of that, but thankful for the lessons it taught me.

Lately I've really been missing the earlier days when we all had fun here. Yes, there were still creepy anons. But for the most part, it was just a bunch of friends chatting with each other and having a great time.
Now the comment count climbs even more quickly than my blood pressure, and I no longer even try to keep up. The assorted anons/fangirls/generally overly fucking rude people and all their vitriol have poisoned the waters in here, so to speak. I care about all my friends here, and of course I care about our host Mayo. It's sad to see the place being overrun by such ignorance.
I just read Kapunua's last comment on the previous post, and I have only one thing to say.

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'
Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.
Nancy Pelosi & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.
Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.
The ant loses the case.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

I was catching up on some of the conversation from last night when something in a comment caught my eye.
Now the story of Ger-z is that they were on tour in the same area before the Pr tour and met there.
BULLSHIT
I think I have just found out why I am having trouble listen to MCr's music. The lies. It isn't just the fact that GW lies that bothers me but the fact that they insult your intelligence.
This they met on tour right before PR is just the latest example. But it is up there with the msi has always supported us from the beginning.
Is it possible that they met that way yes but the problem is that GW said he met the woman he wanted to marry on the PR tour. That was one of the reasons it was so great for him.
What I am thinking is that mush like the msi supported us lie there is some truth to this new one. Msi did play with MCR when they were a smaller band. I think it was one time only. So msi was on tour in Europe when MCR was. But considering the fact that GW has made his relationship with Lyn-z the opening act of two tours I think he would have spoken up sooner if this new story was true.
Do I think GW is an asshole, not just yet but with the lies he keeps telling (or that one of his handlers tells him to say) I am seeing him as not being as up standing of a person as I did before.
Anyway I just needed to get that off my chest.

At the beginning they (especially Gerard) were so eager to mention all the bands they toured with and who supported, influencend and were admired by them. I cannot remember a single interview in which they mentioned MSI.

Yes he did. I think sometimes a lot of the things he has said are the fault of a bad pr person. I mean it is way to easy to catch things that are lies.

ell even just 3 years ago I saw a band I loved and watched them pass a camera through the audience, which was linked to a huge screen. They were egging girls on to lift their shirts and when the camera stopped on girls that didn't want to they zoomed in on their faces and started going "Oh come on" You wanna talk about feeling violated.
So do I think what Gerard said is any different from that? Hell yes I don't even consider that to even be in the same ball park.
The funny thing here is I'm really not even a fan of MSI, I'm pretty neutral in general about how I feel about Lynz. This interview just made me look at her in a whole different way. I'm not biased toward her because of who she's married to, I could really care less about that. She had some valid points and some very intelligent things to say, and I've gained a new respect for her.
As far as Gerard goes, he probably does have a tiny bit of a sexist in him cause I believe that all men have it built in. It's not really bad though because he was extremely close to his grandmother and he is close to his mother as well. And we all know Lyn Z's stance on women and feminism so maybe she'll get that last bit of sexist out of him. Hopefully he'll change his attitude a little bit. I think he used to be more respectful and then being in the industry where women throw themselves at him, kind of gave him a different perspective.
A lot of tomes women are the ones partially at fault because if they weren't willing to bear it all for a backstage pass or pretty much anything, this wouldn't be such a huge deal. I hate these women cause they make it hard for the rest of us who don't use our bodies to get everything we want. They don't have respect for themselves and it sickens me. And I hate that it's what a lot of guys have come to expect. This paragraph isn't necessarily about MCR, it's just how I feel on the whole thing in general.
So he's a little sexist, personally I think it's better then being racist, that's my opinion though
Gerard can't be perfect all the time.. + the whole thing with the moaining and shit happened during a show, and we all know that Gerard isn't himself up there.
