It's been a draining day for me. I'd just got through reading 3 days worth of comments and checked the new video interview and felt a bit low about what's happening to a band I've never met.
Then I found out that the reason my work colleague and good friend is so sombre today is that his cousin was killed in a road accident walking home from our Winter Carnival on Friday night and it put everything into perspective. I read back over the last entry about the 'roadside crosses' and I just had to go and lose it in the toilets, and I NEVER cry. I don't know why I'm writing this, but it somehow feels very comforting.

hello everyone -- i was going to type "good morning" because i practically hibernated last night, and only woke up a little while ago. my head hurts, my brain is still stuffed with sleep, but i've got my coffee and i'm ready to play (i think).
mayo, re-read your post (now that my words are back) and i have to say, it makes me smile to think of the two of you playing cat-and-mouse with each other now. which one's tom and which one's jerry? it's good to see your playful side after that sad beautiful poem, so i thank you. i do love it when you make me grin!
and divine intervention? well, i'm the believer, aren't i? for sure we've been drawn here, each by whatever has a claim on us. i usually use the term "fate" as a respectful dodge, but divine intervention fits just as well. and in retrospect, i have had the experience of divine intervention before in my life, just once, and it did feel a lot like this. something, someone, sneaks up behind you and pushes you across an unseen threshold, and all unaware you find yourself in a new place. it's chaotic at first. and scary at first. but later, when you look back, you're able to see the threshold you stumbled through, and you cannot deny the knowledge that you are known, and loved.
don't turn around yet, though, mayo. you need to wait for a moment of utter quiet, a moment when you feel expansive and connected. then you can peek back over your shoulder. you won't be surprised when you do, i'd wager.

I'm sorry. I've made friends all over the world because of this band and I'm tired of watching them drop off, one-by-one. The only ones left are the younger ones and a few die-hards who've been around since Bullets.
Last night one of the younger ones was hurt (both physically and emotionally) at the show. Not to mention her 13 year old sister was there - accompanied by their mother, who was appalled by the opening band. Not only did my friend get hurt by over-zealous MSI fans, but now her mother is threatening to ban all MCR music and merch from her house.
Way to fucking go, MCR. Nice choice of an opening band you got there.

Last night one of the younger ones was hurt (both physically and emotionally) at the show. Not to mention her 13 year old sister was there - accompanied by their mother, who was appalled by the opening band. Not only did my friend get hurt by over-zealous MSI fans, but now her mother is threatening to ban all MCR music and merch from her house.
Man, I am so sorry to hear that. So now not only can you not to go see MCR and not get called a bitch or a ho by their choice of opening bands, you can also not be safe. God, that does suck. And I'm really sorry.
