Towel and Tribulations.

I spread out the cloth for the dishes to lay.
The chipped rims and faded patterns
of plates that held the sustenance
of our years, pulled from the hutch.
Once careful, I now slam them down hard.
And it feels good that way.
The sharp clink of ceramic
greater comfort than the quiet smooth edges.
I wrap the sharp and cold pieces for trash
swallowing more pride than food.

Frank: "I hate purple unicorns"

Gerard: " You would you sex dwarf, by the way Toro how are those finger skills coming?"

Ha! "Sex Dwarf"- Immediately reminded me of Soft Cell. Loved that song.

Sorry, back to reading. ....

Loveman, your identity eluded me until last night. If my suspicions are correct, you are always right, and you laugh when I ask you to dance.

You want ice with that?

Watch your back.

I wonder if both of these comments by SS are talking about a person. eg. refusing ice, you could be saying no to a person about something. You want ice with that is such a weird thing to say. If ice is a person then the question changes completely. It is no longer an innocent 'you want ice with that?' but something more meanacing or threatening. Especially with the 'watch your back' bit at the end. Not long after Love Man stopped writing...

Anonymous said...

I forgot that SS mentioned Love Man.

If SS was really Frank, he wouldn't know who Love Man is. Because he doesn't. So therefore he would have nothing to say to him.

We don't know that 100%, that is the whole problem with all of this. He says 'if my suspicions are correct' aaargh I think my head is going to explode!

hmm..I'm wondering if SS knew who Loveman was or if he just suspected. And if he knew for sure, I wonder if he warned him off. As sweet as he is, I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him! If SS is Frank, it would be natural for him to protect Gerard and Love Man's blogs were quite scathing. It makes me think that maybe Loveman is perhaps a roadie/tech/crew member. I still have no clue who 'ice' is though.

Anonymous said...

Love Man is not a tech. And anon is right, Frank has no idea who Love Man is.

Gerard, if you're reading this and you want to know who keyed your car and who wrote one of Jimmy Urine's favorite words on it, email. My name at yahoo dot com.

Not that you ever really would of course, but I thought you might like to know who was messing with you.

OK, so are we saying SS had his suspicions as to Love Man's identity but then found out it wasn't who he suspected? So many questions..

Anonymous said...

What blog of Love Man's was this posted on?

And why would "Ice" be posting things on kyeotr's blog? Why does he have beef with kyeotr? Wouldn't, from the looks of SS's comment up there^, Love Man have beef with SS?

Definitely confused right now. You guys aren't alone in that.

I've talked to Love Man on AIM. I got the impression that he is not closely associated with the band, at least not anymore. But apart from that, I'm totally in the dark.

Anonymous said...

I know anon2007, that is why I'm trying to figure out who Love Man is, to try and fit the pieces together. I thought Love Man might be a tech or crew member but Kapunua categorically said he wasn't but she did not say how she knew and now I think she has gone. Whoever Love Man is, SS would not be happy about the things he was writing about Gerard. We have no way of knowing if SS just had suspicions of Love Man's identity as he said, or if he later went on to find out that his suspicions were right or wrong. We just don't know.

Anonymous said...

All of this, the whole SS vs. Love Man vs. Kyeotr back and forth stuff, it's seriously...I mean seriously, making me think we're playing a game of chess.

I did it for years as a hobby first. I've been sewing since I was old enough to hold a needle and thread. But I've also done a 2-year university costuming course. Some people can find costuming work with just home sewing experience, but most places require that you have some sort of college of university training, either in costuming or in fashion.

Okay, I know this was soooo 50 posts ago, but I re-looked at it. It sounds like SS is mocking Love Man here at the bolded part. Like Love Man, whoever he is, asked SS, whoever he is, "You want ice with that?" (maybe "ice" is a slang word for something? or maybe Love Man works at a diner? or maybe "ice" is a code word for something else?) And according to SS's blog, he refused the ice, along with some others because he stated that he wasn't the only one to refuse the ice.

The "If my suspicions are correct, [...] ask you to dance." part piques my interest as well. This to me says that SS, if his suspicions of Love Man's identity are correct, Love Man will have at some point laughed when SS asked him to dance. And at some point, there would have been a conversation carried on between SS and Love Man, probably ending in SS saying, "You're always right." You know those conversations where you can't get anywhere with the other person and you just let them win? That's what I'm talking about.

"Love Man is aware that I deliberately made a point to refuse ice, I asked him if he had noticed I wasnt the only one."

If SS asked Love Man if he noticed that he wasn't the only one to refuse the ice, where is that blog at? Where in Love Man's blogs did SS ask "Did you notice I wasn't the only one to refuse ice?" If this shit means anything (not that I think it does), I think SS may know Love Man personally. Like in real life.

Ice is slang for drugs.
It's slang for crystal meth.

"You want ice with that?" (maybe "ice" is a slang word for something?

It's also slang for diamonds or jewellery made with diamonds (ie. engagement rings). Though drugs is probably a more pertinent answer.

Jennicula said...

Crank is some nasty shit. Not that the others listed are any better, but I have a few friends that have gotten tweaked on crank and we don't hang out anymore. It's like their heads got permanently re-wired or something.

JocelynHolly said...

Well, I know that "Ice" is usually slang for crystal meth, or methamphetamine. It's a really really dangerous drug that is full of household chemicals like bleach. Believe me, you don't want to mess with this drug. I have never EVER done any drugs. I'm 100% against them.

Anonymous said...

Well if "ice" does mean crack, cocaine, meth, etc., at least we can conclude that SS and some others turned it down? If SS is who we think, and Mayo is who we think, maybe Love Man offered "ice", then SS and Mayo (SS wasn't the only one to refuse the "ice", am I right?) turned down the offer.

Does that make sense? That doesn't make this in any way the correct interpretation, but you do see what I'm getting at, don't you?

October 13, 2007 10:15 PM

Is it really? :| I think I've been hiding in a box the whole time it's been used.

Who's the anon that thinks Ice's cover is about to be blown? SS?

RW said...
Or kyeotr, maybe?

Could be, but the way the anon would have to copy and paste Ice's comment, it made me think it was directed AT Ice. But, I don't have a clue about anything anymore. I'm about as confused as I've ever been. I sometimes have the strongest feeling that all of this is a game. Then sometimes I feel like it's real. I don't know anymore.

Yes, I think that too. I meant that maybe kyeotr is the one who made that comment to ice.

I think we're on the same roller coaster guys. I think I want off for a bit before I puke.

I use it all the time. I'd say that maybe it's a west coast thing, but a lot of my friends here in Toronto use it too.

JocelynHolly said...

lol. Maybe the people in central Canada have all been hiding in boxes. I've heard it said like "You're a royal pain in the ass", if that's how it's used=] *blushes and runs back inside her box*

It seems as if Ice is angry and is ready to turn the screws (if you will). Love Man also appeared to be upset in his blogs and was trying to push. Ice = Love Man? Maybe.

KYEOTR seemed to try and diffuse. SS answered Love Man's blogs tit for tat but then went away. Was is too public? Probably didn't think it would blow up like this. Are they the same person? Maybe.

I think Mr. Mustard did it in the Library with the candlestick.

I've stopped thinking about & trying to guess what the identity is of these bloggers. To be honest, the longer this goes on the less & less convinced I get that any member of MCR has anything to do with these blogs. But I love to come here as it's a great place to discuss and vent, and I have formed attachments to the people I've met here.

I've used the word royally a few times myself. I think it it something used all over the world, just more in some places than others.

The way you've used it is pretty much the same thing, really.

^^ Haha okay. =]

RW:
I understand now. Could be. But if that's the case. "Your cover is about to be blown" could have two meanings.

1. A cover is usually used when you're trying to hide something. Maybe Love Man isn't anyone important, maybe a disgruntle fan who felt they would lay their opinions out on the line. Maybe Love Man's just a facade and Kyeotr realizes this.

2. OR, Kyeotr realizes that Love Man (if he is indeed Ice) is saying too much by posting on the Kyeotr's blog. Thus connecting them in a way and that wasn't what Kyeotr had intended.

You're right Jennicula:
This has turned into a giant effin' game of Clue. It didn't have to be this way. It shouldn't be this way.

JocelynHolly said...

Good ideas anon2007. I can't decide which one seems more possible though..

I'm surprised kyeotr didn't just delete ice's comments on his blog.

You're right RW. I sometimes forget the real reason I'm here. It's not to determine the true identity of these people, it's to congregate with you all. Let me just reiterate that you all make me coming here worth while. Every single last one of you.

I'm done trying to figure out what all that Ice stuff was about. I can find solice in the fact that SS, whoever he is, turned it down. That's okay by me.

Jennicula said...

Maybe he's saying "Bring it on, beeotch!"

JocelynHolly said...

I'm surprised as well RW. Something behind the scenes is going on between these people..

Fimble Star said...

thank you 2007. i feel the same way!

resurrected wreck said...

Maybe they want their "fight" to be public. Maybe those comments in kyeotr's blog were meant to be seen by us.

Anonymous said...

Okay. Last time. I swear.

I'm surprised kyeotr didn't just delete ice's comments on his blog.

This is exactly the reason I smell something fishy going on. I think they wanted this to be seen. I think they all may be in kahoots with one another.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Kyeotr may not have been online at the time. Than everyone found out before it could be deleted so there was no point in deleting it.

resurrected wreck said...

That is, of course, possible.

Jennicula said...

I could drive myself crazy, and it's not a far drive for me most of the time, trying to figure this all out.

I have no idea what it all means. Maybe Mayo just doesn't like his dishes. I chucked a whole set because I felt it was an old life and I was ready for a new color. (I went with black).

SS, KYEOTR, Ice, Mayo, Love Man - I don't know who they are. College kids drinking beer and having a laugh. Could be. Do I mind? Not really. I like the people I've met. Am I weird, sure. But then again, who isnt?

JocelynHolly said...

It's possible. I just don't think I should care anymore. I don't know.. it seems soo stupid now because it all seems like a fucking set up for people to just point at us and laugh for being gullible.

resurrected wreck said...

I'm sceptical about this whole thing. Sure smells like a charade to me.

Maybe we're thinking too much. What if all the answers were right under our noses? That would be hard to believe considering the only things we read on here is gibberish.

Mayo, kyeotr, ss, and Love Man are going to have to kick it up a notch soon. These cryptic blogs & Latin phrases are getting a bit old.

I used to look forward to reading Mayo's blog posts. Now I'm happy to see them simply because it provides a fresh venue for our discussions, which may or may not have anything to do with Mayo.

That would be a start.

Translate for the Latin-inept.

Speaking Latin is totally the new black. I'm still wearing last years' "new black."

*is slow*

Actually, I think this is more fitting:

Aliena nobis, nostra plus aliis placent

hi jen. could you please tell me what that means. i dont understand it sorry

Honestly, I only come here now to talk to you, RW, and everyone else. I still care deeply about Mayo and of course SS, M, and Kyeotr and all those other bloggers though.

Lmfao good one Jennicula, for the first Latin sentence I mean=]

Listening to other people helps me forget about the bad things that I have to deal with at the time.

thank you jen. i have tried to find the translation on the internet but i cant even do that lol

Oooo...good little quotes Jennicula. If you don't mind me asking for future reference, where do you all translate this Latin stuff? I try, but always fail.

Going to shower, back in a bit.

I wonder how many messages will accumulate while I'm gone??

Fimble Star said...

i know. i watched it first time over in england years agao and then watched it over here and they cut some of the bits out. i was gutted cos they were the best bits lol. i also love braveheart. yay william wallace very nice lol

Anonymous said...

Russell Crowe is AWESOME in that movie!!! Did anyone watch that 300 movie when it came out? The previews reminded me of a CGI version of Gladiator.

Fimble Star said...

no i didnt watch it but herd good reviews. wat was it about?

Jennicula said...

I wanted to see 300. Any movie that has a review that calls it "a ballet of death" gets my vote. Nobody wanted to see it with me. Guess I could rent it though.

JocelynHolly said...

I haven't seen 300 yet, but it looks amazing!

Fimble Star said...

i saw the hills have eyes at the cinemas and i seriously did not watch most of it i had my eyes covered. now that was some scary shit

Jennicula said...

I was on line last night when 'Urban Legend" came on. I got sucked in and forgot I was on line. I love horror flicks.

JocelynHolly said...

Wow! I hated The Hills Have Eyes, the new one at least. It actually wasn't that good. But it was scary!
And I want to see Urban Legends sooo bad!!

Jennicula said...

Dawn of the Dead 2004 version freaked me out. Maybe because the zombies ran real quick. Too quick. I went to bed that night thinking "Uh oh, zombies can bust in through that window and the door."
