English Paneling

1-4

This is how I will suffocate,
in your adoration.
Hands cover my mouth
while I keep my resolution.
I put my fingers in my ears,
and disappear
before you
tell me, tell me
you love me.

5

Desolate Bungalow

Gravity Paper

Ink Wired

Numb

Perpetual Absence

Unhinged Focus

Lost Wax

Done

6-9

Days, dry as dirt
kicked up in heels,
catch in my throat.
I want them back.
Tomorrow, better yet-
today, I will stop
rushing away. The distance
between here and the deserted
has been
forgotten.
Washed up,
I am ready to devour those days.

10-13

I am dead in a box in the center of the room talking to everyone or no one can hear me or they neglect to listen because I do not say what they want to hear or I make no sense to anyone but myself because I am only speaking to someone a million miles away from where I am at present they cannot hear me or I make no sense.

14-17

I am out of corks
with a barrel full of holes.
The relief will not stop;
resentment pouring and filling
the cracks in the walls,
plaster caked in puke green,
painted over in pink
for all the world to see.

RW, yeah and glittery glamtastic clothes and I want to draw a concert poster for BRMC but since I can't really draw I'm really just stuck and all that stuff and yes, concerts. Always music stuff rules my head. I had a friend tell me that he thought I used music to get out of dealing with real life problems and shit. Certainly not.

Right?

What if I have nothing to escape from? What if I just enjoy running to the music? (Not for real running, metaphorical running, LOL) But what if he's right? And I have these problems and I'm too busy singing and dancing to realize it?

Anonymous said...

i miss my pooter

sdock10 said...

Chips are the shit. I have this coworker that loves loves loves chips times infinity. We wanted to get her a vanity plate that said, "Ruffles". She's one of those bag tappers, you know, those folks that turn up the bag when there is nothing but crumbs and salt left and put it in their mouth and tap the bottom.

It's a marvel to behold.

sdock10 said...

Where the hell is your pooter? Or what the hell is your pooter?

have you got my pooter?

Always music stuff rules my head. I had a friend tell me that he thought I used music to get out of dealing with real life problems and shit. Certainly not.

I've always believed that real life gets in the way of concerts.

resurrected wreck said...

But what if he's right? And I have these problems and I'm too busy singing and dancing to realize it?

Solly, but on your schmexiest concert clothes and your glitteriest makeup and tell him "Bitch, shut the hell up!"

sdock10 said...

Ohhhhh you mean that "pooter". No, I lost it in a can of Pringles at a WalGreens along with all my street cred.

Word.

saucy little devil. You make me wanna scream

sdock10 said...

Real life so does get in the way of concerts, but I guess that's alright, ya know. It makes you not take the music for granted and catch it every chance you get no matter how far you have to drive, how long you have to stand in line, how late you have to stay up, or how thirsty you get. It's so worth it.

sdock10 said...

You make me want to sing a duet like Janet and Michael Jackson! Who's saucy now? You are. No. You are.

sdock10 said...

RW, *sigh* I know nada about schmexy and very very little about glitter except how awesome it makes a pair of boots.

resurrected wreck said...

RW,

Is Destroya still your fave song on D-Days?

Yes, but I admit I've listened to it so often this past week I'm getting a little tired of it. I'm now listening to Sing more. And I'm really liking S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W.

sdock10 said...

Riding a sparkly elephant to the Lady GaGa show would be epic. Not a real elephant though b/c I think that would be kind of cruel and stuff and it can't be like an elephant car b/c that would be bad on the environment, so that leaves me with like a sparkly elephant bicycle as a viable option.

Anonymous said...

i like to ride my bicycle, i like to ride it well

sdock10 said...

"Sing" is my fave right now too and to think that it used to make me shudder. I'm also kind of getting into, "Save Yourself" but it almost sounds a little like a Black Parade b-side to me.

MCR has been in rotation with BRMC, SPW, The White Stripes,
30STM, and some old Taking Back Sunday this week. (not the new/old/new TBS, just old TBS like with Fred)

resurrected wreck said...

I've been interspersing Danger Days songs with classic Elton John hits, of all things. And the Inception soundtrack.

sdock10 said...

That Inception soundtrack is pretty effing amazing.

resurrected wreck said...

It is! I love the song "Mombasa" bestest.

sdock10 said...

Oh I don't know the names or nor do I own the soundtrack, but I have listened to parts of it on youtube.

resurrected wreck said...

Mombasa

sdock10 said...

Have you seen this, RW?

Inception Premiere

sdock10 said...

"or nor"

I rock so hard.

resurrected wreck said...

Solly, that was fantastic! It was that song that actually made me buy the soundtrack.

sdock10 said...

Yours was great too, RW. I don't know why I don't just buy the soundtrack. Maybe it's because I'm afraid that if I listen to it, I might not come back.

resurrected wreck said...

You might not. But Solly, it would be so worth it!

sdock10 said...

I always loved the music from this movie too:

Gladiator

resurrected wreck said...

That's great music (but it's by Hans Zimmer, so I'm not surprised). I also really love the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack.

Solly and RW! Hi! Wow, I miss Mustard too, and Solly, thanks for that awesome link. Obviously, music was a huge part of Inception, so WOW. Beautiful. Though they should have gotten someone up there to go "BWOOONNNG."

Talking tattoos? I'm *this close* to finally getting the one I've wanted for a few years, which is the uncertainty principle. And I think that the hitRECord thing is the clearest sign that I need to do that.

Actually, that's why I came back here tonight, to tell Mayo about this book thing, but obviously someone already got on that.

Well, it should still come from me, because Mayo, we used to be like poetry buddies and such.

It doesn't count as a legitimate publication since it's indie and such, but my tiny story is in this book. Not only that, but Joseph Gordon Levitt stuck it in there with literally two hours to printing, and sent out a video asking people to do an illustration for it. You know what he said, Mayo? He said "a story by the writer, Jules KD." THE WRITER, JULES KD. Also, there are only something like 60 stories, chosen out of 2,300 someodd ones.

So, it's a tiny story in a tiny book and in the grand scheme of publishing it's a tiny, tiny thing. But just the fact that he said that, you know, and he was so nice, and that my tiny story is going into print. It's kind of special? Well, it is to me.

I think you would like the tiny story too, or maybe you'd like all the tiny stories. Mine was about the uncertainty principle, if that wasn't obvious. I used to write all kinds of stuff along those lines on here. Remember?

So, I wanted to come back and share that.

That said, ciao!

Thank you to everyone who sent prayers, thoughts, good vibes and wishes my sister's way. Her surgery went well and they don't think the "lumps" look cancerous.

She has an appointment with her Dr. on Wednesday and we'll know the "for sure" results then.

Thanks again!

Welshie said...

Hello everyone

Just missed you Wendy. Keeping your sister in my thoughts.

So are we to assume that you enjoyed Muse then Ergo?:) Hmm?

I feel a right tit now. I took your advice Ergo and listened to Dr Death Defying’s Listening Party.
*blushes* I liked it. Not all of it, but some of it I liked very much. It wasn't what I expected!

See this is why I’m stuck in a rut. I convince myself that I wont like something so I don’t even try it. I’m not talking just about my musical taste but my life in general. I’m frightened of change. Don’t know why. I want to change, want to travel, want to experience new things but I’m too scared. Scared of leaving everything I know behind. I bloody hate myself at times.

ergoproxy said...

hi welshie, they were incredible, the show was just sensory overoad, as Muse do so wonderfully

They played Plug In Baby too!!!! It was fabulous!!!

There isn't anything wrong with not liking change, I don't.
But sometimes starting with little things eases you into it.

Glad you liked the listening party :]

hey wendy, I had a quick look at you pics but we had the full stadium show so it was a bit different, and there would have been even more bright lights, that's what they are known for, strobes, lasers, screens, spotlights, colours and 3 huge rising and lowering platforms and Giant eyeball balloons to hit about! Just sensory bliss!!!

Welshie said...

What did DH and BG think of the show Ergo?

ergoproxy said...

They loved it! BG was stunned lol.
It was good too they weren't deafening, loud but not over loud. She had earplugs in though, she is wearing her tshirt still, changed into it before the show.

Ergo, I'm glad you enjoyed MUSE so much. I might have to pick up an album someday and see what they're like.

Wendy, I was shocked at the season finale, not at all what I expected. I'm greatly amused though by the people that call the storyline from the last few episodes "weak". The TV show has been a departure from the comic books, for sure, but I don't think everyone realizes that there's a comic book as well. Ho hum.

Wedding plans are at a stand-still. There's only so much you can do from out-of-town unfortunately. It's also much to the chagrin of the people who have wanted to help in some way, but when everything is being handled by the hotel, well, there's just not really much to do. C'est la vie.

Mayo,

Ever wonder why some people can't give honest compliments to other people?

Read this.

It's Interesting. Very interesting.

It all comes down to ones own self esteem. Their own insecurities. Their own feelings of inadequacy.

I'm sure we all already knew that but it's still good to see it in writing and be reminded.

I agree about giving compliments and being able to give them out, if you have self esteem. People who have no self esteem would have a hard time giving compliments. They would want compliments for themselves though.

That's why I say that EVERYONE who writes here these days is a great writer. It doesn't matter if you get something "published" or not. Getting "published" is mostly luck, being in the right place at the right time.

It doesn't matter if you just write more than other people.

Or if your words rhyme.

Or if you spell something wrong once in a while.

Everyone here tonight is creative and WORTHY of sincere compliments.

Elena reads more than anyone here and her words are always heart felt and sincere. They ring true. Straight from the heart.

Amyranth is creative and has a lot of wit.

Ergoproxy is a tutor and is very smart.

Wendy lets her light shine in every post.

So does Welshie.

THAT is what writing is about.

That is what giving compliments is about. You have to mean them and I mean everything I said.

Anonymous said...

Yes, we get it, hate the porchie "invasion." Whatever.

Anonymous said...

Thank you 1:17. Well said and I agree.

It's not just the words. It's the emotion behind them.

It's not just the picture. It's the frame.

It's not just the painting. It's how and where you present it.

It's not just the shine. It's shining from the inside out.

It's sharing the wax and spreading the gleam to as many as we can.

Why is it so hard for some people to say good job, nice effort, you look great in that outfit, wonderful work, I like what you said/did? Why is so hard for some people to support and encourage other people?

I don't know. It has to go much deeper than just self esteem issues. It has to.

Anonymous said...

It's also about sincerity. I can see and feel your sincerity
in your words.

You write good too and you make good sense. ;)

Anonymous said...

I'm "published". I've been published more than once. It doesn't make me any better than you.

Just sayin'.

Anonymous said...

It really doesn't make one person a better writer. Some people are the most heart felt writers, and they just stay quiet about it. Maybe they don't need to send their writing out. Maybe it's enough to put it here, on a blog, without any big deal.

Anonymous said...

Maybe it's enough to put it here, on a blog, without any big deal.

I agree 3:09.

Or maybe it's enough to write at their own blogs or their own journals.

Sometimes it's enough to just write for one other person and let that person alone read what you've written.

Sometimes it's enough to just write for yourself or write as anonymous seeking no recognition for your words. :)

Anonymous said...

It can be enough to self publish and sell a couple of hundred copies of your work if you believe in your work enough and want to get it out to the public. :)

Anonymous said...

There's nothing wrong with selling your paintings, sketches, wood carvings, etc from the sidewalk either.

Anonymous said...

Some of the best writers are the quiet ones, who don't expect praise for it.

Anonymous said...

A real artist doesn't care WHO appreciates their work. It doesn't matter if it's a guy who used to be on a TV show.

Or if it's just friends on a blog.

Appreciation can come from anywhere. So can understanding.

That is what a real artist feels.

Sorry.

RW I have the Sherlock Holmes dvd on my desk at the moment. My sister lent it to me. Is it worth watching?
Thanks for the link to the soundtrack. I might just watch it for the soundtrack alone:)

Elena have you been to the MCR concert yet?

good morning!!!!

We are home again :]

had a good flight except for the fact I'd been checking the severe thunderstorm warnings home had had all afternoon and yep, as we were descending we hit turbulence. it wasn't terrible (I've flown through worse) but still makes you a tad white knuckled when a whole plane lurches sideways!! lol.
Guy sitting beside me had the window and said - oh wow there's lightning, I thought O_O !!
It wasn't over the city though which was good.
Plus we got off the plane and out to the car before the rain (our airport you have to walk over the tarmac from the plane)

Had the BEST weekend :D

now to unpack everything :/ lol

That's true. Which is why I feel so bad for women like Lyndsey Way.

The envy and jealousy directed toward her by other women and girls. It's horrible.

Anonymous said...

She can't even tweet about a having a successful art show or send a tweet to her husband without people accusing her of bragging or showing off. :|

Anonymous said...

God forbid if the members of MCR tweet about DD debuting in the top 10 or post a tweet promoting Danger Days or a concert.

They'll be accused of being sell outs who are just in it for the money or they'll be called ego maniacs.

Envy is ugly.

I'm going to upload my pics so if you wait a bit I'll post a couple.

I'll be back (Schwarzenegger voice)

anon 5:31 I do tend to agree with you. It must be very demoralising for her. I personally have no ill feelings towards her. See it's like this, I don't know her or her band so I can't form an opinion of her.

Welshie said...

I'm going for a bath Ergo. I'll try and pop back in before I go to bed. I'd really love to see your photos:)

It must be very demoralising for her.

It would have be. All the negativity. Comments about the way she looks, how old she looks, the way she dresses, her tattoos, her art not being good enough, her and her husband not being good or stable enough to raise a child. People even go there.

I'm sure she knows all of that is about jealously and envy but it still has to get her.

And she doesn't just get a few negative comments once every 6-7 months. She gets them every single day.

Anonymous said...

He said her name Welshie? Link please. All I see is a link to a page of where to buy a book written by some people I've never heard of.

I wouldn't want to be in the spotlight like they are. Like any celebrity couples are.

Too much judgement and criticism.

Go to hitRECord.org 6:11.

You can read the mission statement of the organization and see some of the collaborations. You can join and submit some of your own work if you want to.

No thanks. I'm not interested in something like that. I guess you don't really have a link to it but it doesn't matter anyway. Because I don't even really know who that guy is.

Anonymous said...

Not really a very attractive man is he.

Anonymous said...

I'm not Welshie but I posted the link to hitRECord 6:45. Blogger glitch et it up.

Link.

I'm quite envious and I don't care who knows it. He's amazing. If you've never seen (500) Days of Summer or Brick or his stint hosting Saturday Night Live, you don't know what you're missing.

Because I don't even really know who that guy is.

Lol. Don't get out much, do you?

Anonymous said...

Umm... I don't see what there is to be jealous of? It doesn't look like some kind of big deal. And I honestly never did hear about him until Kapunua came here crowing about this.

Even if you did know who he was before now, still what is there to be jealous of? I'm sure he says a lot of peoples names, there's really nothing special about celebrities, just because they are in movies.

That's the point I was making before. Why does it matter if someone who did a movie or TV show talks to you? Isn't it MORE meaningful if you can show your talent to your friends? Or are "celebs" more important than people you know in real life?

Anonymous said...

JGL is an underground indie actor.

Kind of like MSI is an underground indie band. Or was. ;)

Anonymous said...

Because I don't even really know who that guy is.

Lol. Don't get out much, do you?

Maybe I'm just not interested in the latest trend in movies. I didn't see Inception and honestly I'm not that impressed.

Anonymous said...

You people don't make sense. Either he is some kind of indie actor or he is in a big blockbuster movie. Make up your mind.

Anonymous said...

And in case it gets missed. I don't see what there is to be jealous of. Why is recognition from someone 'famous" more important than recognition from your actual FRIENDS. Why is it more important than just being true to yourself and talking amongst ourselves?

Why would you be jealous of something like that?

Anonymous said...

JGL is an underground indie actor.

Not since Inception, he's not. Oh, and he also was nominated for a Golden Globe for 500 Days of Summer, which was directed by Marc Webb -- you know, the guy who directed all those MCR videos? Know him?

Maybe I'm just not interested in the latest trend in movies. I didn't see Inception and honestly I'm not that impressed.

You're hilarious. How do you know whether or not you're impressed if you didn't see it?

Anonymous said...

Or are "celebs" more important than people you know in real life?

It depends on what celebs you're talking about and whom it is they're giving the recognition to. Apparently ?

Anonymous said...

I didn't bother to see Inception because movies like that don't impress me. I never even heard of him until she came here crowing about some book he's in that she's in too ... Big deal.

This culture gives too much importance to things that aren't really important.

I would much rather read about the daily lives of people here, and all their heart felt hellos and good nights, their meetings and going to concerts, sharing music links and pictures of dogs and just.... stories of daily life. Hello, a wedding? I think that's a little more important than what some actor says on his web page.

Anonymous said...

^(That was sarcasm.)

Anonymous said...

Why is recognition from someone 'famous" more important than recognition from your actual FRIENDS.

You tell me. Didn't all the people here at this blog come running to get Mayo's attention because they thought he was Gerard Way?

Anonymous said...

No, that was more like because he is their FRIEND.

You can see that by who stuck around for all these years, who still says hello and good bye to him. We don't need to know who he is.

Anonymous said...

You're confused 7:21.

All anons are not the same person

He's an indie actor who was cast in a movie that became a blockbuster.

I don't think he had been in a blockbuster since Angels in the Outfield. He was the kid in that one.

Anonymous said...

No, that was more like because he is their FRIEND.

LMFAO. Their FRIEND, who never speaks to them anymore. Who leaves them for months on end.

Yeah. Right.

Anonymous said...

Can Inception even be considered a blockbuster?

What was the profit of that movie?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, that blockbuster which just happened to be directed by Christopher Nolan. Know him? No? Why am I not surprised?

Christopher Nolan is known for using the same actors. Plus, JGL has gotten tons of press since Summer and Inception. He has worked almost non-stop since.

But I guess you don't know about those things. They just aren't as important as things like your neighbor's Bar Mitzvah.

Anonymous said...

Are you joking? Inception grossed more than 823 million wold wide.
