For as long as I can remember, I have collected little bits and pieces of people. Not eyeballs and arms, or blood and guts, but their lives, their actions, moments and movements…the way they walk or speak. I watch and listen, collecting fragments and still-frames of lives of which I know nothing. I keep these parts, and then when I am ready I attribute my own perceptions to their actions; I make up stories. I am a thief. And from what I collect, I assemble.
The way a woman, carrying her child on her hip, hesitates while crossing the street. Wrapping her hand protectively around her child’s head, she holds her breath and second guesses the crisp-suited businessman will run the red light because he is distracted talking to his mistress, and he has only five minutes to make plans with her before he meets his wife for lunch. The woman knows this because her husband left her last year for his secretary. He told her over lunch.
The way coffee shop patrons cast questioning glances at the man sitting alone at the back of the room. His eyes are downcast, and he is spinning an empty cup. He rarely moves, and never speaks. Across from him sits an empty chair, a full cup of coffee, and an uneaten pastry. Patrons avoid him, falsely assuming he is homeless or insane, because of his sour body odor and dirty clothes. It is true; he hasn’t changed them in six days, the six days since his wife died, the six days he has returned to the table at the coffee shop where they met. The same table they called “ours” twice a week.
The way a classroom full of students, half paying attention, all consider the quiet kid in the back to be a dolt. They see a girl who rarely looks up and never raises her hand. The kid isn’t ignorant or lazy. On the contrary, she has already correctly answered the question in her head. She simply can’t get past the fear that, once called upon, she will fumble through her speech and answer incorrectly, drawing upon herself the jeers of her classmates. She so fears the embarrassment of being wrong that she sacrifices achievement. She will later beat herself up because she didn’t raise her hand, taking over from where the others have left off.
No Longer Lost.
I don’t have to look for you anymore.
Not in faces that resemble yours
Round and rugged, shadow of a beard
That always seems present, but never more
Than a scruff. Is it you?
I never asked, but wonder.
This time I could not help myself.
Are you?
He told me you drowned yourself,
And that in the end they had made you a beggar
Boxed in pine, without proper notice.
It had been 20 years, but still I looked for you
Because you were kind when I was afraid.
But, I think I don’t need you anymore.
Right now, that is all prosthetic.
A lack of sleep and unending thoughts will either drive me to excuse myself from my obligations or thrust me headlong into achievement. Everything around me spins on, and I remain pushing my way through to the very end.
And that is where I remain, soldered to the front end of a rogue missile.
p.s. that is what makes it rock.

and bowling ghosts?, now they'd be very annoying!
:(
That's so sad 4:37. Sad and very touching.

Bowling ghosts.
Huh.
Well, I suppose I shouldn't be ashamed of the fact that my cousin and I had an imaginary skeleton family.
We thought there was a whole family of skeletons living in her closet, and we argued over who got to hold the baby.
Rather grotesque, now that I think about it.
Hey everyone! I brought some Inner Peace!
By following simple
advice heard on the Oprah show, you too can find inner peace.
Dr. Oz proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish
all the things you have started and have never finished.'
So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and
hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Tequila, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now.
(Sorry. Total spam, but I think everyone could use a good laugh from time to time, n'est pas?)
LOl Amy that's great
just got home from grabbing some groceries
tip for any guys out there, ladies please pass it on
if you are going to ogle a woman as she walks past you, try to notice whether she is walking towards large tinted glass windows, that reflect perfectly exactly what you are doing!
LOL
and to the 2 guys who did it to me this morning
- thanks ;]
What Starts with F and ends with K ?
A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students.
The teacher asked, 'Harry, what's your problem?'
Harry answered, 'I'm too smart for the 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!'
Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office.
While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.
Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.
Principal: 'What is 3 x 3?'
Harry: '9.'
Principal: 'What is 6 x 6?'
Harry: '36.'
And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.
The principal looks at Ms. Brooks and tells her, 'I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade.'
Ms. Brooks says to the principal, 'Let me ask him some questions.'
The principal and Harry both agreed.
Ms. Brooks asks, 'What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?'
Harry, after a moment: 'Legs.'
Ms Brooks: 'What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?'
The principal wondered why would she ask such a question!
Harry replied: 'Pockets.'
Ms. Brooks: 'What does a dog do that a man steps into?'
Harry: 'Pants.'
Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin, whitish liquid?'
Harry: 'Coconut.'
The principal sat forward with his mouth hanging open.
Ms. Brooks: 'What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?'
The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, 'Bubble gum.'
Ms. Brooks: 'What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?'
Harry: 'Shake hands.'
The principal was trembling.
Ms. Brooks: 'What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?'
Harry: 'Firetruck.'
The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, 'Put Harry in the fifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong.....'
:D
Hi Amy.
Hi Blog :)
Hi Ergo.
Hi Mayo.
Hi Amy, Hi Ergo, Hi anons.
Hi anon
hi BC
Hi BC. :)
Goodnight John Boy.
I'm gonna have lunch, bit late today and I'm starving!!
back soon
enjoy lunch ergo. See ya soon
howdy. :)
Howdy tj, how's it going?
Hello, everyone.
TJ, I was thinking about you today when I saw a young woman walk by with a bright trace of emerald green in her hair.
Amy, I love the image of a skeleton family living in a closet...at least your skeletons were not alone!
How is everyone doing tonight?
Hi Visible Naiad, nice to meet you ^_^
♥
h bc, i'm siting here zoning out!
naiad!!!! :D
i wish my hair still had that green in it! how are you doing?
(sitting here, that is)
hello again!
hi TJ, HI VN :]
I haz nice satisfied belly now
Hi, BC! Nice to meet you, too.
TJ, I'm really good right now. J. & I are heading out to Cape Cod for the weekend, and I haven't been there in so long...going to revisit places I haven't been to since I was a child, and I love autumnal beaches.
My friends and I also got our tickets for the four shows the Souls are doing in Asbury Park between Christmas & New Year, and you can probably guess how excited I am about that!
Hi, Ergo! What did you have to eat?
Hi hi again ergo, heart anon
THIS IS A SUPER THIGH MEGA TAMPON HAPPY FUN FANTASTIC LATE NIGHT MAGIC WISH TIME MUSE POST
hi ergo! :)
naiad, i so wish i could go with you to those shows! i'd love to see asbury park again (in the daylight even!)
alas, i think i'm going to have to postpone anymore travelling until after the new year.
I had some multigrain crackers, 2 with garlic and herb cream cheese and tomato with pepper, and one with the new vegemite cream cheese spread, and a wing that accidentally (honest!) fell off the roast chicken I bought to use for tonight's dinner
how are you, your trip sounds lovely
hi anon
TJ, thanks for letting me drag you down to Asbury, even in the rainy dark. It's one of my favorite places now and I wanted you to at least get a taste of it, even in the form of horror-gore burlesque!
and a wing that accidentally (honest!) fell off the roast chicken
uh-huh, sure it did...
naiad, it definitely whetted my appetite for more -- you know i'll be back, as soon as i can. :)
TJ these roast chickens are notoriously fragile, their lovely seasoned brown skin is known to fall off at the drop of a hat!
(well at least if I'm near them)
lol ergo, when i was a kid i didn't know that fried chicken had skin after the first day, because when you went to get some out of the fridge the next day, the skin was always gone! (my eldest sister couldn't resist the crackley cold fried chicken coating...lol)
looks like it doesn't matter what kind it is, chickens are very mysterious...
oooh yes, same this happens here! I have no idea how that skin just disappears!!
this is always why I go for the wings, less meat. more skin and if you get wings at KFC they always seem to have a big lump of coating stuff just cooked onto the end, they could honestly take all the skin off their skin free stuff (ugh!) , coat it, deep fry it and stick it in a box, I would be in heaven!!!
Can you buy roast chicken over there, takeaway? We had a series of ads for a place called Red Rooster who do roast chicken and they had an aussie guy in New York asking people and they had no idea, they'd say "roast? not fried chicken?"
there used to be a restaurant called boston market that specialized in home-style takeaway, and they offered roast chicken. i think they folded though (or restructured, because i sometimes still see their brand in the freezer sections at the supermarkets).
oh wow, well no wonder the idea seemed odd tot hem, what a shame, it is soooo yummy!
this is Red Roosters products
They are an australian company
The chicken is so nice, and it has stuffing too. My favourite is the Rooster Roll, in Burger section, which I put the fries on, It's just bits of roast chicken, stuffing and mayo.
Do any of you put their fries on their burgers and stuff? I do all the time, but I do get looked at oddly by some.
i never did that, exactly, but sometimes if i have a shake with my sandwich, i've dipped my french fries into that.
don't do fast food much anymore...maybe i should though, suddenly got a hankering for ice cream and potatoes...
*heh*
LOL
we used to (in my teen years) go to McDonalds really late, after a church youth thing once a month and have sundaes and such, we'd let someone play "Find the Fries" if they had a sundae, if they could be distracted you'd stick them intot he ice cream and they would then have the joy of "finding" them as they ate!
weren't we generous!
I don't have takeaway often now, usually if we are driving somewhere, so that makes it a treat
did you ever do the thing at restaurants where you unscrew the salt shaker lid, and then replace it without screwing it back on? it's incredibly mean to the person who has to clean it up, but i confess we did that a few times...
I didn't personally, though I have been with people who did
we also used to play "find the pickle" you'd flick it onto the roof and then move tables and see if some unsuspecting person would "find" it as it dropped
we were asked to leave a few times, looking back I think we pretty much deserved that
lol yeah pretty much! i never heard of the pickle one, that's pretty evil!
i'm going to head off to bed now -- it's raining so i don't want to miss the opportunity to fall asleep listening to the rain. :)
it was great talking to you ergo (we always end up talking about food lol), and i hope your delicate roast chicken stays intact all the way to dinner! *hee*
naiad, it was great to talk to you, too! hope you have a wonderful time at cape cod.
and good night to you bc!
sweet dreams everyone. :)
it hasn't much hope TJ, it's going to be part of a cold asian rice noodle salad with prawns, which fortunately doesn't use the skin...now...what to do with it?
sweet dreams, bet the rain sounds lovely
and
thank you MJ for the link before, I forgot to say
and I do love their title for it!
mayo,
so, maybe it's a sign that i'm somewhat vain, but one of the reasons i write is because i like to read my own stuff. i don't know if that is de rigueur with writers, or a general no-no, but after i've finished a piece, i will go back and re-read it several times over the next few days. it takes a little while for the shine to wear off. *grin*
so tonight i'll admit that i went over to my ecto blog and took another look at the first chapter of my halloween story...and then lingered to read the other entries there.
those entries were all from when i was ectoplasmic and couldn't post my good nights here. i'd put them over there and ergo would "channel" them for me as my medium. *heh* do you remember that?
anyway, it was very pleasant to read what amounted to a few of my old letters to you, and they led me back over to my "corporeal blog" to read old entries there, and then of course, i ended up back here, reading your old entries!
it was good to reconnect with the beginnings of this strange little adventure, it was good to have a reminder.
it doesn't matter what is said of this place now, or how it has changed...at the heart of it, there is a core here that is unique and remarkable.
it's worth sticking around for; you're worth sticking around for.
take care mayo, and have a good night. tomorrow, if the weather is clear, i'll be out in the autumn, out among the trees and wild places. i'll try to catch a photo or two to share here, but just in case it doesn't pan out, keep an eye out for autumn leaves in your own neighborhood, ok? tomorrow's a day to enjoy some fall color. *grin*
sweet dreams.
Good (very early) morning or (very late) night Mayo, SS, Sweetcheeks, Martha, Amy, Ergo, J and L, Elena, TJ, VN, Mya, MissT, all you little ghouls, goblins and ghosts (whether or not you got a "strike")!!!

*have a great time hugs*
As for HELLDONE, after I read your comment I went check ticketti and, of course, tickets are all gone for all nights (I'm sure they gone within an hour). Otherwise, I would have said HELL YEAH, let's go!!!!! I can see ringing in every New Year in Helsinki! I'm sure you can too!!!! And, I know MissT can as well (well, maybe not EVERY one.)
;)
Martha: Thanks for the Muse link!!! And, what do you know? They started their tour in Finland! I suppose they like it too!

At the beginning of my shift I placed a stethoscope on an elderly and slightly deaf female patient’s anterior chest wall. "Big breaths," I instructed. "Yes, they used to be,"
much love EP xx
SS
"Doctor, doctor!" said the panic-stricken woman, "my husband was asleep with his mouth open, and hes swallowed a mouse! What shall I do?""Quite simple," said the doctor calmly. "You just tie a lump of cheese to a piece of string and lower it into your husbands mouth. As soon as the mouse takes a bite haul it out.""Oh, I see. Thank you, doctor. Ill go around to the fishmonger straight away and get a cods head.""What do you want a cods head for?""Oh- I forgot to tell you. Ive got to get the cat out first!"
lotsa love EP xx
goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning
♥xx♥
EIGHT MORE DAYS TO HALLOWEEN
HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN
EIGHT MORE DAYS TO HAL-LO-WEEN...
SILVER SHAMROCK
Good afternoon/evening guys, hope you're well.
Sugarplum: I had yet another hospital visit to attend to, so it's unfortunate that I won't be able to go to tomorrow's show. Weirdest thing is that when I ordered my ticket a month ago, I had this feeling that my plans weren't going to go as planned. I'm not really disappointed though.
I'm gonna check out your blog a bit later. I am sad though that tickets for Helldone are all sold out *pouts*
Have a great time in Alabama and see you next week *hugs and kisses*
Elena: eight more days of Halloween, can't wait! In another week, a bunch of little sprouts will be ringing on my door begging for candy lol.
I think that's it for now.
Miss T: *hugs* I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that you're okay. Take care!
Later guys.
ZOmbie anons, Mayo, S(S)S, something I wanted to tell you all.
Little known fact! I had a bit part as a zombie in a local movie called Hey, You've Got Zombies In Your Back Yard!" It was only ever released in theaters on Long Island. :)
Also, there was the Movie That Never Was in which I
was
a zombie
again.
I also played a pirate, and am a ninja in real life.
That about covers all the basics of geekdom, I guess.
Hope you all are having a nice season. Mom and I are hanging in there. I'm almost done with midterms and I did really well. I've got one more left, it's on Tuesday.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and Sunday is the BIG day! My uncle and two cousins are taking me to Broadway to see what it sure to be the best show ever, Video Games Live. My cousin and I are going in costume. I just can't wait. Two more wake-ups! ^_^
Have a good Halloween, you guys. :)
I screwed up the third link and linked to a non-zombie still, sorry. :)
The zombie link looks like some steamy zombie love going on! Yoo hoo!! Happy birthday Kapunua and those pics were awesome. You have some explaining to do about those steamy pics young lady!
Hey, just out of curiosity, what does everyone think about the H1N1 flu vaccine?
There's a big brouhaha building at work because only a small pool of us are planning to go and get it, as it's available next week here in Canada, but the majority of the people I work with are not.
hello!
we just went and picked up 5 ducklings
they are so CUTE!!!!!
Hello Amy and EP,
Amy if you are unsure about the swine flu vaccine talk to a licensed medical doctor. They can tell you if there really are any side affects that you should be worried about.
My personal opinion that you should get it. It is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to an illness that can kill you. When and if someone at your job gets the h1n1 you won't have to worry it.
EP why did you get ducklings?
Hey, everyone, how's it going?
Ducklings? Are there pics?
Hey, Martha, how are you doing?
Amy, I think I will be getting the vaccine too. I got both the regular flu shot and pneumonia shot this past Tuesday, and since my immune system is so bad, my doc is recommending I get the H1N1 as well. I understand the hesitation, because it is so new, and the last time, back in the 70's that the swine flu vaccine was given, a lot of people got sick from the shot.
Six of one, half a dozen of the other...
L.
Amy re the vaccine
it is just a variant of the normal flu vaccine, created the same way, same risks as having that one.
Talk to a doctor, I haven't had it, but I am no longer in a risk occupation, if I was full time teaching, or lived in the city I would get it, I have the normal flu vaccine when I was teaching
Hi MJ
we wanted to ahve ducks, some will be eaten but we want to breed them, the eggs are lovely to cook with, plus ducks are really cute. They are Muscovy's, the big white ones
I'm just uploading a couple of pics
Elena, we got your Halloween card today, thank you! And so true too! :)
Wendy, have a safe trip and your pics and videos were great. The singer from The 69 Eyes has the voice to pull off The Doors song with style! Not bad looking either... Thanks for sharing them!
Miss T., have a great weekend too, and hope you are snot free. Love ya!
BC, you had to go back to visit at the hospital? Is everything ok? Hope you are doing good, and getting ready for Halloween sounds good. Bucket of candy and maybe even some for the kids too!
L.
Also hey to TJ, Mya, Wish, KOL anons, Jade, Anima, Far, Possum, Cupcake, anons, lurkers, and anyone else I missed.
Oh, yeah, you too Mayo. I guessss. And S.S. you know, that other guy. ^_~
L.
the ducklings
the one I call Groucho
how are you L?
I'm good, expanding our farm, lol. Just have to get a pig now
I'm doing ok, Ergo.
The new babies are darling. I love Groucho, so fitting. You have a whole petting zoo going on!
How have you been?
I don't see anything "steamy" but a steaming pile of bullshit. Why would anyone go where they are not welcome is beyond me.
Stay with your "friends" at your "secret blog" and over at VV's with the other vile losers please.
Also, sign in FIMBLE STAR, thank you.
Crap, not again.
Please, anon. Leave it be. If you really care about the blues here, don't do this.
ignore it L, not worth your time
LOl
we could have a petting zoo just about!
Groucho will probably lose his eyebrows though (or hers!) We have no idea what sexes they are, but we hope to have at least one drake sow e can breed, chances are out of 5 we'll get a couple of each
I know, Ergo, I know. I just get tired of it all.
What all animals do you have right now?
3 cats
5 ducklings
the 8 chicks, 7 hens, 1 rooster
1 horse
2 steers (cattle)
and the fish in my tank
and our pig pen is nearly done, getting water hooked up is the last bit, now we just need a pig or 2
We have thought of getting sheep too, so that may happen at some stage
Wow, Ergo, you do have quite the farm going on. We only have 2 cats, one bunny and one fish. I wonder what the apartment complex would say if we brought in ducks and sheep? Didn't say anything in the lease about them...
I hate to leave so early, but I have to finish the laundry and a few other things before bed.
Everyone take care, and I'll see you later.
Love,
L.
no problem L, I'm googling duck care, have a good night and sweet dreams

Damn! I havent commented here in a long time and i saw Kapunua's comment and responded and as far as vile losers....whatever. Also as far as VV's goes i don't think they are a bunch of losers. I go there alot and don't have to worry about listening to load of crap like you are spewing here. You need to chill out and loosen up before you have a damned stroke! Thanks for the compliment, but i'm not Fimble.
Oh yeah, if you can get you flu shot do it. My son has had the flu all week and it was not fun. Not sure if it was the swine flu, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
I figured getting the shot was my best bet. I just can't understand why you would take the risk of death over the risk of not-death.
Sure, it's almost Hallowe'en, but you don't have to play the part that true.
Oddly enough, one of my co-workers, who is an older lady, said the reason why she wasn't getting the shot is because "only girls your age are getting sick and dying anyway."
I wasn't quite sure what to think of that. I mean, she IS correct because in Alberta the majority of flu-related fatalities have been mostly women in the 20-30 year old age group, but to think that grants you some kind of immunity?
Amy
they seem to find, as with other flus, that exposure to influeza viruses over your life, does seem to confer some level of immunity to emerging influenzas, so older people have some advantage, however this of course varies dramatically depending on where they lived, what they had etc etc
Seeing as the current H1N1 is a new virus, which has crossed from animals, past exposure to other versions is no real guarantee you'll have any greater immunity.
Thing is too, people generally get the vaccinations during flu season which is when many influenza viruses are about, the vaccine will only be created for the virus the WHO deems the most likely to cause serious harm, so having the vaccine only protects against the one, you can catch any other version going around, of which there are usually many, and seeing as you go to a doctors surgery to get it, you're in "germ central" so to speak, which explains why some people think the vaccine can give you the flu, which it can't.
The H1N1 has been shown to be potentially very harmful, so if you are able to get it, and especially if you are in a populated area, or a field that has contact with many people, or compromised health, you may as well get it.
Just remember it has the same risks of irritation as any other injection, and very, very rarely more serious side effects, however if you don't react to other vaccines you shouldn't have problems.
I am very pro vaccination, though I know there are people who aren't, I think there are many risks you have to face, and you have to decide which risk is greater for your circumstance.
and note for everyone - ducklings still very cute, way cuter than chicks :]
Ducklings are bloody adorable.
Did BG name them all yet?
no not yet, she wanted to call Groucho , Downey but I overruled her, on account that "I named it first" and that's a rule LOL
they all look a bit alike at the moment so we'll wait until we can tell the difference
I find "Hey you, get off that!" to be an acceptable name for most animals. Even the ones who already have names, like Witch Hazel and Shithead Merlot.
TS and Fimble Star are just about the same anyway.
And that is most definitely not a compliment.
haha, yes Tom had "GET AWAY FROM IT!!" while I was lying on the couch outside, when he leapt into the garden bead and reappeared with a ruddy tarantula type spider, luckily (?) it was a small one and I got a board and flicked it away, but ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww
11:14
only love
ONly love
unites our hearts
Happy birthday K. I hope things turn around for you.
And before anyone here gets on your shit *cough MJ and Wendy cough* this is a page I read when I lost my grandfather. Always remember this.
"First of all, we need to give ourselves permission to feel any way we feel and to express those feelings in any way that is appropriate for us. We need to know that there is no right way to respond, no right way to grieve. And we need to know that it is dangerous not to choose to express grief fully. Studies show that those who suppress their emotions have more physical and psychological ailments during the first month, remain disturbed much longer, and, even as long as thirteen months after the loss, are still displaying more marked disturbances than people who were willing to express fully their feelings following the loss. So expressing our emotions — in whatever form is right for each individual — is a healthy and normal response to experiencing a loss."
hey guys sorry i missed you i had to run to the store. I hope you are all well.

HI MJ
I'm still about, having a lazy saturday afternoon
did you see my pics of the ducks up there? (8:43)
My Dad used to say that when he was younger, he thought his name was Jesus.
My grandmother, of course, constantly chasing him around the house yelling:
"JESUS, get OFF of there!"
"JESUS, put that down!"
"JESUS, leave your sister ALONE!!"
("When I was a boy, I laid in my twin-sized bed and wondered where my brother was." - Mitch Hedberg)
And with that, GOODNIGHT.
http://www.connect.legacy.com/page
Not yet EP I am doing bout a million things right now
hello everyone!
ergo, the ducklings are so cute, especially groucho -- what a fierce little bird! *hee*
11:56, well done for posting that. it's something more people should know...i remember wondering what was wrong with me at one point after my father died, because i didn't feel like i was feeling the way i "ought" to. i did some googling and found much the same as what you posted here, and it was a relief just to read those words.
i'd like to wish kapunua a happy birthday, too, and that her days get better.
Ergo, the ducklings are so cute!
Goodnight Amy, hey mj.
ooh! and good night amyranth!
I know it's a hard birthday Kapu but hang in there I hope you and your family are OK.
lol goodnight Amy sweet dreams
thanks TJ and BC, I'll add a duckling blog soon, I have to take a pic of the chicks too, they look so different, they are like mini hens with long legs now, all feathered up
all feathered up
i've had occasions exactly like that. :)
i've got some pics from today's excursions...would you like to see?
Take it elsewhere please, porchies.
oh most certainly TJ
ok! one pic spam, coming right up! :)
I'm not a porchie, fuck your labels. I like Kapunua and I enjoyed the poetry. I hate the way she was treated. I wish her a happy birthday and I liked her zombie pics.
If you don't like it too bad.
yay piccies!
I don't know exactly what I"m seeing in the non zombie pic but it looks ummm fun? ;)
today i went out to the lbl (land between the lakes), a nature preserve and recreation area here, mostly to see the fall colors but there's also a living history site there, recreating a homesteader settlement from 1850.
it was beautiful there, very autumny and wet, no one walking around except me and my stepdad and brother-in-law.
i talked to the ladies, stood in a barn filled with drying tobacco leaves (they smelled so good!) and even pet a horse.
the best part was that the place was decorated for their halloween event (which was tonight and would've been so cool to go to -- ghost stories around a campfire and then wandering around the site by candlelight, so spooky!) and these people made the best scarecrows!
here's one, leaning against a tree and ominous even by daylight!
this one was actually in the garden, but oh man, that vine growing through it's head? eep!
but what i loved was that in the main room of the house, they had turnip jack o'lanterns on the mantel. they were so cool! one and two, though there were five, total. :)
later on, we went to a little lake. it had a very interesting bridge across the dam spillway, just cement stepping stones. of course, i went across!
there's also a trail around the lake. i walked a little way along it, but we were running late, so i had to turn back. i'd love to take a day to hike the whole thing.
it was a fun day. :)
I just saw an advert for a reality show called Ultimate Gamer, where you can watch people play video games to see who plays video games best
wow
couldn't you walk to an arcade? At least you'd get some exercise as well.
is there ever going to be a point where these tv execs go, "no I don't care how cheap that will be to make, it's too boring to expect people to watch"
(unfortunately I know the answer, and it's not "yes")
Wow TJ! that place looks gorgeous!
I love your pics, the scarecrows are great, both look creepy, and the vine!
The horse looks like a friendly fella too.
That bridge is wonderful, and the walk, such a shame you didn't have time to explore it, that'll be for next time.
bet it's beautiful in spring too
it was very interesting, ergo!
and the horses (there was another, his twin) were so calm, so stolid. they let me pet them, and thump their shoulders and back (horses have to be thumped, not just pet, you see). i don't expect that they could have exciteable horses around the public, but these guys were still a bit ntimidating just from their size -- they were huge!
i took lots more pictures, but these took me forever to load at photobucket. i think i'll put the next batch over at my flickr.

Shit it seems like it’s been so long since I’ve really talked to you. Yep, I know that sounds stupid because I really don’t talk “to” you I talk “at” you but you know what I mean. For the past two weeks I’ve been sick with the flu. Was it “the” flu? Don’t know for sure didn’t get tested but Sunshine did and it was so I’m assuming since what me and Mr Elena had was just the same it was or should I say still is? Cause believe me this shit is brutal. To be honest I’ve had several flues that made me sicker but never one that made me feel so exhausted for so long. Every damn day I’ve taken a 2 to 3 hour nap. I didn’t want to I just had to. Today is the first day I’ve actually not napped at all. It feels like a major accomplishment. This really sucks on toast. Plain toast with no butter or jelly. Yeah, it’s that bad. I guess I should have known I was getting sick the night Flighty and I were supposed to see Creed. Notice how I said “supposed to see”? You guess it, it didn’t work out but then things often don’t work out when Flighty is involved. Still we had a pretty nice visit. Until she started telling me things that upset me. And even that’s not surprising but the fact that I drove all the way home crying should have made me realize I was getting sick. I have a pretty good immunity to Flighty’s flightiness unless my defenses are weakened. The next day was when I started feeling like crap.
Anyway not sure why I had to tell you all of that. Guess I didn’t want you to think I’ve just been blowing you off. I’ve missed this place, my friends and talking “at’ you. Oh and nagging you. Gotta be honest I really miss that. So… Halloween Mayo….any thoughts? (there I feel much better) LOL
Okay then I think I need to give up and pass out now. I’m so fuckin’ tired. But hey maybe today was a baby step in the right direction. I just want my family healthy again, you know? But Stormy came home about an hour ago (you know it’s a bad sign when they come home early on a Fri night) because she’s not feeling well. Crap I hope she doesn’t have it too.
I really, really, really hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy. Take care.
Night Mayo
Elena
Thank you for posting truly beautiful pictures TJ. It's nice to see a real artist.
cool, I'd love to see more
Horses like that are called "bomb-proof" here, used in riding treks and places the public are, as they'll just let the world slide by and not get stressed. People often get them as kids horses too, you see them advertised as that
good night elena -- it's good to see you here, i hope all your family gets better soon!
"bomb-proof" is definitely what these horses were, ergo. :)
and thank you, anon! it was gorgeous out there today. :)
rest up elena, nice to see you back even only briefly, sweet dreams
Nite TJ, Ergo, anon and anyone else lurking about. Sorry I can't stay but I really need to lay down now. Take care, I miss you guys so much.
*hugs* to you elena, do what you got to in order to get better (and then you can come back and finish your story! *grin*)
missing you too elena *hug*
oi, i just yawned so hard i thought i was going to crack my jaw open -- time to say good night!
talk to you later, ergo! looking forward to your duckling blog! *hee*
sweet dreams to all. :)
goodnight TJ
sweet dreams
mayo,
so did you see any fall color today? the best is when you happen to catch a leaf just as it lets go of the branch -- one of those occurrences in nature (like shooting stars) that seem deliciously lazy and slow, and yet are over in a flashing instant.
well, i saw a boatload of autumn color today, and so i grabbed this for you, just in case your day didn't provide.
take care, mayo, and i hope your tomorrow is as beautiful as today (or even more so).
good night, my friend, and sweet dreams.
Those are some gorgeous pictures tj. Goodnight and sweet dreams to you and Elena.
hey BC I am off to do my late afternoon stuff as usual, didn't realise how much time passed, sweet dreams

A blonde and a redhead went to the bar after work for a drink, and sat on stools watching the 6 O'clock news. A man was shown threatening to jump from the Brooklyn Bridge, and the blonde bet the redhead $50 that he wouldn't jump.Sure enough, he jumped, so the blonde gave the redhead $50. The redhead said, "I cant take this, you're my friend."But the blonde insisted saying, "No. A bets a bet."Then the redhead said "Listen, I have to tell you that I saw this on the 5 O'clock news, so I cant take your money."The blonde replied "Well, so did I, but I didn't think he would jump again!"
much love EP xx
SS
A blonde calls her husband at work one day and asks him, "Can you help me when you get home?""Sure," he replies. "Whats the problem?""Well, I started a really hard puzzle and I cant even find the edge pieces." "Look on the box," he said. "Theres always a picture of what the puzzle is." "Its a big rooster," she said. The husband arrives home and tells his blonde wife, "Okay, put the corn flakes back in the box."
lotsa love EP xx
and for mayo, SS and everyone
Beached As
you've GOT to watch it!
goodnight blogbelieve, see you in my morning ♥xx♥
This blows..
Yeah I was all happy yesterday because I hadn't taken a nap all day. Well today I woke up at noon. I've been up just over three hours and I feel terrible. This shit just won't go away.
Hope everyone here is feeling okay!
True genius, but true woman! dost deny
Thy woman's nature with a manly scorn,
And break away the gauds and armlets worn
By weaker women in captivity?
Ah, vain denial! that revolted cry
Is sobbed in by a woman's voice forlorn: --
Thy woman's hair, my sister, all unshorn,
Floats back dishevelled strength in agony,
Disproving thy man's name: and while before
The world thou burnest in a poet-fire,
We see thy woman-heart beat evermore
Through the large flame. Beat purer, heart, and higher,
Till God unsex thee on the heavenly shore,
Where unincarnate spirits purely aspire.
I will post that at VV's too in case you go there.
good morning!!
elena, you'll get better soon, wish I could be there to make chicken soup for you (not that I've made that before, but I'd give it a shot!)
thank you Ergo
Chicken soup might help. I'm still awake, but very tired.
How are you today?
I'm really good thanks, doing some cooking
we just went and fed the ducklings, it's a hot day here again today
so seeing as I can't do chicken soup, I will have sausage rolls followed by chocolate brownie, that ok?
I read "cooking some ducklings".
And I thought, "Man, ALREADY?".
O_O
O_O
...though they'd be snack sized, they have a while before that's a danger for them
how are you Amy?
Kapunua, you were born under a dancing star.
To me, fair friend, you never can be old,
For as you were when first your eye I eye’d,
Such seems your beauty still.
mmmmm home made sausage rolls for lunch
I really love that caramelised meat juice you get in the bottom of a skillet or a roasting tray, one of my favourite perks of the chef
Not bad Ergo, not bad. They finally released some good stuff for FV on FB, so I was just farming a bit.
Trying to get some cardmaking done too, but there's a bit of a setback. The stamping ink isn't very bright, and a lot of the cards have colored backgrounds, so the stamps aren't showing up properly. I guess I'll have to spend tomorrow in my pj's trying to figure it out. Ho-hum.
How about you? I think you should name one of the ducks Aflac.
Amy could you color in the stamps with darker or brighter colors?
MJ, I thought about that, but they're cutout stamps... um...
Hold on, I'm going to find a picture.
Something like this.
These aren't the exact same ones that I'm using, but they're close. You can see though, they're cut-out/filigree stamps, and I'm trying to emboss with them. It's just a matter of the filigree showing up better on white paper than dark paper.
I'll figure it out somehow I guess.
no ideas what to do.
Yeah, same.
I might end up just using whiteout to cover an area of the card where I'm going to stamp! LOL.
Be back in a bit, going to have a bath.
Okay, have fun
WTF, I have been watching Bones this week and this is the third time (second time today) that they have shown the bear eats a dude episode.
Halloween Cow say
"BOOOOOOOOOOOO"
LoL Halloween Cow
hello MJ
we just had lunch and a visitor
hi halloween caw
Hello EP what did you have for lunch.
Keep the Kapu stuff off this blog please. No one here wants to read about her. Go to her blog or to VV. There's no need for it here.
I had a bit of ground beef left so I seasoned it and made sausage rolls
they were very nice
we are probably going for a swim in an hour or so, it's a hot day
a halloween caw?
hello TJ
how was your day?
Hello Tj.
I don't know if that sounds good EP (what you ate). I don't really care for seasoned meat rolls.
Are Hallowe'en Cows black with orange spots, or orange with black spots?
good question TJ!
MJ, seasoning was just salt and pepper, wrapped in pastry, served dipped in tomato ketchup
bump
bump
bump
and grind!
ooops Amy asked, sorry!
orange with black spots. i'm almost certain of it.
hi ergo. my day was...ordinary, i suppose.
hello martha.
keep bumping!
we have car racing at the moment on tv, so it's laze about and watch until we can go swimming, no point now as our friends pool would be in the sun and that means sunscreen and sun shirts and more hassle
Hello Amy and anons.
Ep I still don't know about the meat roll. Rolls of meat don't sound good to me.
bump
bump
bump and grind, yeah thanks other anons!
stop it.
don't be so immature; join in the conversation if you want the page to change.
Let's keep it going and get the shit off the page for a clean start.
And let's have EP at the top of the page this time.
There's still awhile yet for a page change.
And I need my question answered about Hallowe'en Cows.
What are you hating anons trying to prove? That you hate this one person? Everyone knows you do and most people from the outside know who you are.
You can keep bumping your page and you can get Ergoproxy on the top of the next page, but I and another still put our wishes to Kapunua and they aren't going anywhere.
And TJ, you only tell people to stop it when they're not signed in, never once have I witnessed you telling your friends to stop it.
Who cared.
BUMP
bump
bump and grind!
Personally I will only repost her poem.
bump
bump
bump and grind!
I'll only repost it anyway and you can try to bump the next two hundred comments.
bump...
And let EP have it!
Soon!
amy I think halloween cows would be orange with black spots
Amy a Halloween cow is the color of candy corn and it's milk taste like that as well.
Awww it wasn't EP but it was still someone good.
Happy now "anons"? Get what you wanted? Good.
oh yes, maybe some breeds of halloween cows could ahve spiced pumpkin flavoured milk too
True genius, but true woman! dost deny
Thy woman's nature with a manly scorn,
And break away the gauds and armlets worn
By weaker women in captivity?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAPUNUA
The cows can have Halloween themed spots on it. Like ghost and witches.
amyranth, i put in my vote on your question on the last page.
oh a black cow with while ghost spots would be cool
It doesn't matter if you repost the poetry idiot, her posts are gone and that what counts.
happy birthday Kapunua!!!
while = white
ZOmbie anons, Mayo, S(S)S, something I wanted to tell you all.
Little known fact! I had a bit part as a zombie in a local movie called Hey, You've Got Zombies In Your Back Yard!" It was only ever released in theaters on Long Island. :)
Also, there was the Movie That Never Was in which I was a zombie again.
Yes happy birthday! Raise a glass to the blog's poet laureate! Happy birthday Kapunua and don't let the jerks get you down!!
I forgot to tell you guys about this horror movie I saw the other day. It was really bad. It was called Ring of darkness. it was about a very popular boy band who were zombies.
LMAO Kapu just gave herself away!!!
Reposting your own bullshit now, as f we all didn't know it was you.
Sad.
a zombie boy band? LOL they probably had as much talent as normal boy bands
Immature is correct, Toujours. Both in their attempts to "outdo" each other and their comment to you.
I strongly suspect all the anons are one person or one group of trolls who have made it their mission in life, since they seem to have no other life, to disrupt and state cruel things to those both here and those who are gone.
It is childish, and pointless.
Ring of Darkness
My comment to Toujours was not immature, it is just how I see it. She only scolds people when they are not in blue. You can be positive that if it was Amyranth settin gup rules, calling nasty names or MJ making a mockery of grief, Toujours would be silent.
I reposted the poem because I wanted to. Did it outdo the people who were "bumping" maybe maybe not. But I thought it deserved not to get bumped.
The seraph sings before the manifest
God-one, and in the burning of the Seven,
And with the full life of consummate Heaven
Heaving beneath him like a mother's breast
Warm with her first-born's slumber in that nest.
The poet sings upon the earth grave-riven
Before the naughty world soon self-forgiven
For wronging him; and in the darkness prest
From his own soul by worldly weights. Even so,
Sing, seraph with the glory! Heaven is high --
Sing, poet with the sorrow! Earth is low.
The universe's inward voices cry
"Amen" to either song of joy and wo --
Sing seraph, -- poet, -- sing on equally.
see you everyone, we are off for a swim YAY!!
sweet dreams TJ, Amy MJ
you'll probably be off before I get back
have a good day tomorrow
the idea of a zombie boy band just makes me think of that one music video where "they" (i don't remember the name of the band...) were marionettes. that was pretty spooky right there.
12:11, i've never been much of a believer in conspiracy theories, mainly because i don't think humans can be that organized, and unfortunately, petty-mindedness is all too easy to find on the internet. i just hope none of the anons who comment maliciously are people i thought of as friends. that would break my heart.
