We sent you some Jiffy Pop popcorn to try and three boxes of Cracker Jacks (with a prize in every box! Look kids!), one for each for you, DH and BG. Some other goodies too.
they may not have liked the popcorn, but if they did they'd take it out and repack, that might delay it a bit, I'm not sure
they are pretty strict on grains and other foods coming in, so if they have to inspect it it might hold it up

J, I considered something similar to that, but I was leaning towards maybe a star. The Thursday night that my brother died, I was with some friends and there was only one star in the sky.. I like to think that that was my brother watching over me.. but just one star? How do I make that work?
Ergo, I was thinking of working some song lyrics into my tattoo from the song that was played at my brothers funeral, it was one that was most played on his playlist.

It's been up and down here. L's bunny, Logan, passed away in May from cancer. That was a heartbreaker. My furbabies are ok, and her other bunny is good. We were going to be moving to another apt in our complex due to the outside wall and living room floor here are oozing down the hill and coming apart, respectively. Management wouldn't pay professional movers to move us, so we're going to wait until next year and move on our own dime.
My niece got married yesterday to her man of almost 4 years. They're living in New Orleans, where she goes to law school and he works for the Army Corps.
AAAAAAAnd, other than that, nothing's changed. :D

a good artist will be able to draw up ideas for you, and you can tweak it until you get what you like
you can loook in clip art books, paperheart, especially for images of scrolls, and ergo told me about a great tattoo idea website that you could look through too -- tattoojohnny. your sketch doesn't have to be perfect though, as long as it conveys what you want to the tattoo artist, and then they can draw up the design and make it exactly perfect for you. :)

the sky is just crowded with stars. there's so much to look at. no shooting stars though, not tonight, but i saw mars, low on the eastern horizon, a sparkling little ruby chip.

you know, making those items today, finishing them, that felt good, too. not so much to see that i still had the ability (though that was pretty cool, especially remembering how do to the rolled hem on the altar cloth), but just in the accomplishment. i wanted to get those things made, and i did.
yeah, maybe that dosen't sound too exciting, but in the past, i was the queen of unfinished projects. plans were made, and plans would fade.
i am still pretty distractable (sometimes i think it's my one true skill). wanting to work on those kit items, actually doing so, and finishing them, that gives me a boost, you know? very satisfying.

Crap, I keep forgetting stuff.
Zac's not a bad looking guy. A little young, but I can't say much. I think Daniel Radcliffe is mighty fine and I think he just turned 19 or 20 this year.
I was in London in '07 when "Equus" was playing, and Dan was the lead. We were on the second row, at the end, which was right up against the curved stage. The last 20 minutes of the show is him completely nude. At one point he slid across the stage and landed about 2 feet in front of us.

I woke up and opened the backdoor to let Sandy Ann and Tinker Belle out to "potty" and... you're not going to believe this...
IT WAS 68 degrees F!!!!! In August!
I know!!! I was shocked too! I thought I had been transported to some strange ~ and chilly ~ alternate Louzianna. I had an "Outer Limits" moment! I enjoyed it!

well, it seems i ran out of steam today. don't know what happened, but i guess you gotta pay for the good days, huh?
but it truly was a beautiful day today. it was impossible to stay indoors. at one point i was watching a butterfly feeding on some flowers. it was so tattered, scarred and missing chunks of wing, yet it was nimble. i watched that butterfly for a long time, standing as still as i could so as not to spook it.
it made me think of ergo's butterfly, and how even when our spirits are bedraggled we can maybe still be beautiful, too.

I was reading back a bit and saw that Ergo was talking about a reality show about a reality show. It made me laugh because just tonight I was watching Joe Schmo 2 on DVD. I never saw the first one but let me tell you the 2nd is fuckin’ hilarious. I don’t want to say much about it in case you haven’t seen it but dude, you really need to watch it if you haven’t. Some parts made me laugh so hard. Like the elimination ceremonies. – The women come foreword so that “the bachelor” can give them the ultimate gift “Lean foreword and he will give you a pearl necklace.” Or when the guys come foreword with their candles it’s “Present your wick so she can dip it in her flame of love.” Holy crap just thinking about the falcon twist cracks me up. Believe me this DVD is a must see. I just realized how weird that all sounds but just trust me, I really think you’d find it very funny.
Other than that I’ve got nothing to say. I’ve got a sink full of dishes, a dryer full of laundry, and books to mail. Oh well, take care.

It also seems their "circle of friends" has grown from seven to twenty!
She does say she has way too much free time on her hands! It seems she's finished with classes by 1:15 all but 2 days a week. And, her "latest" day ends at 3:15!
I asked her if she could take more classes; but, she can't. She's already meeting the 16 (or whatever) credit maximum for a Freshman. Well, at least she has a lot people to do things with. Ummm... wait...

We have pretty strict rules as we are isolated from a lot of things other countries have so they are really careful on anything that might bring in a disease or insect or anything

Gotcha, Ergo. We do here as well, no fruits or vegtables can be brought in, and I never really thought about grains, but you can't bring a plant either, so it makes sense.
I remember having an apple on the plane when we were coming back from the Caymans and the flight attendent said I just had to make sure I ate it before I got off the plane or leave it there in the trash.
