Yeah I had the misfortune of seeing that picture. all I took from that exchange was that he was asked a question, he made a joke about it, and they posted the picture. He didn't reply, don't know if he blocked that person, don't care. Imho, that pic was shown to him, it wasn't waved around behind his back, giving him a bad reputation or ruining anything for him. If he doesn't complain, nothing can be done.

Looks like it's gearing back up for storms here again, it's dark and I just heard thunder. Reading back it sounds like it was pretty much across the board last night! Elena, Anima, TJ, hope you guys are ok this morning.
Summer storms can be beautiful, dangerous and powerful. Frightning and soothing at the same time. Last night the lights were turned to low, the only real sounds the rain and thunder, the turning of pages and the occassional cat snore. It was peaceful, if only for a moment. A moment to be filed away for when life kicks me in the ass.
Anima, so good to see you here. And congrats on the anniversary! I hope we can come up next year to see you and Elena. It's been a strange year, but I am ever hopeful for better days. Hey, the second they took me off the "don't expect to make it list" better days started. So I'm not going to complain. Life is too short.

He apparently didn't even bother to read the law suit papers filed against him, because he ignored them, too!
The law suit required that he appear in court on December 23, 1998, to defend his misuse of the pictures. He did not appear on the required date. As a result, he lost the law suit by default and was ordered to pay $8,200 in legal fees and $230,000 in damages
I would say that photo constitutes a misuse of a picture.
Sept. 21 — Sophia Loren doesn’t want her good name — or her even better body — being exploited on the Internet. The actress, citing "distress, depression, shame, humiliation, embarrassment and shock," has slapped 76 Internet companies with a lawsuit, alleging that they’re using her name to lure Web surfers to pornographic sites.
"THE DEFENDANTS ... have purported to display nude or semi-nude pictures of Sophia Loren, and some Defendants … have displayed photographs featuring Ms. Loren’s image without permission from Ms. Loren," according to the suit, filed in a U.S. district court in Indiana.
Wonder if that photo of GW caused him any distress, depression, shame, humiliation, embarrassment and shock.

Book recommendation for anyone who loves a skillful author and/or supernatural subjects: "The Wolfman" by Nicholas Pekearo. Beautiful handling of words, sort of a glib voice for the protagonist, a twist on the werewolf theme. Pekearo's work was published posthumously; I don't know if there's any more of it out there. But so far this book is fantastic.

it's the dark of the moon, and cloudy to boot, so there wasn't much to see outside, but oh man, it was so good to have the freedom to go out into the night again.
and today i was craving a ramble in the woods. tick season will be over soon, and i'll be free to go exploring again, but it can't be soon enough. on the drive home i found myself watching the trees, trying to see as far back into the green depths as possible while we sped past.
there's mystery there, there always is. the woods and forests are always places of the unknown, even when they are barely in acre in size.
huh. i just realized that the feeling i get when sitting in the middle of a glade is the same i get when standing out under the night sky. they are the best foods.

It was a very busy day for me. Many books were purchased! But tonight was TV night. I got to see the Top Chief Vegas episode I missed and it was the start of the new Project Runway season. Have you ever watched the show? I love it and I adore Tim “make it work people” Gunn. I even popped over to TFAW and pre-ordered the Marvel comic Models Inc that features Tim. How cool is that. Tim will act as the “wise one” like he does on PR and help solve a murder that takes place during Fashion Week. It should be pretty cool.
But as always I have tons of stuff I need to get done because I goofed off all evening. It’s okay, sometimes you just gotta goof off. Hope you don’t forget that. Take care and have a great tomorrow.

True it was very gracious of Kapu to forgive Mya. And very bitter of Mya to take back her apology. Why, who knows. I guess just..... bitterness. What I remember that I liked alot was that when Kap was told that Mya took back her apology, Kap said that she still accepted the first one anyway and STILL gave her forgiveness.
Thought that was very gracious of her.

I think Mya has has some deeeeep hurties in her life and it has turned her into this enraged thing. I really do think she needs help. I know she says she's Christian but she never shows any Christian humility, respect or calmness. She doesn't show any of the positive Christian traits, and definitely not what Jesus taught.
Now I know that Jesus forgives all, but does that mean that you should go around in a rage all the time, cursing people, causing them harm (the job for one thing,) asking forgiveness then taking the apology back and coming back out shooting harder than ever, telling people that if they "fuck with you" you will mess them up?
Nobody is a perfect Christian but there are some good ones. Mya does not act like a good one.

That is true. It doesn't matter who says the words, the person on the other side of the screen is a living, breathing, feeling human being. It may be too late to erase words already said, but can't all sides agree to remember everyone bleeds when cut down?

Forgiveness comes when they are ready to let go of the hurt, and that is usually not a conscious thing.

Yes, it is a judgment call. But how many does Mya judge? And how severely? Severely enough that her "judgment" cost a person her job. I think the vast majority of people here do try to contain their words. No one is perfect.
Passions arise. Emotions boil over on occasion. People can't be expected to walk on eggshells. They can't watch every word they say. Emotions can't always be contained.
When disrespect for other people and their beliefs is shown on a regular and continued basis that's when it's a problem.
