I wish I had the money to go all out with Hallowe'en decorations this year. I thought it would be a lot of fun to have blood spilled and spattered all over the house, and when the kids knock on the door, to have Mister fling it open, screaming and waving a bloody knife with his brother "dead" on the stairs.
Elena, that imperfect pumpkin looks like it has a tail.
And I know how you feel about Christmas Trees. I got a little depressed last year, thinking about the tree we bought. Dress it up in finery, let it shine for a week or two, and finally strip it of everything pretty to toss it in the trash? Not I!
I left that poor tree up until February. The mere thought of buying a real tree this year makes me sick.
Teej, last year we got so many kids who didn't even bother dressing up. They just came to the door with pillowcases in hand, smiled and waited for treats.
Mister wants to put a sign up at the end of the sidewalk that says "No Costume, No Treats".
I told him he can, but for him to give me a minute to get the bucket of water and the hose ready for when we get egged.
titoring took longer than i anticipated then I went to the shops and I bought an avocado to make sushi rolls for dinner, and found some bottles for the tomato ketchup I'm going to make
Amy - I always like going to the club on halloween night - even if its in the middle of the week because they all show up in costume.
Its not obvious that they are in costume, but they are. Someone had Xs across his eyes last year and Ps on his shirt. It took me awhile as I had been drinking, but I figured it out.
ergo - I make some damn good sushi myself! I add extra mayo ;) And make sure the sticky rice is the perfect texture.
amy - I am fine! I had a bout with a stomach bug yesterday, which is why I am home tonight, but I can keep food down now. Gross, but true! How are you doing? I like your costume ideas.
Amy - Over here the weirdos are out on New Years Eve! :D That's when I go to a house party and hunker down for the night! I go to a goth/punk/dance club usu. on halloween, so the crowd is pretty 'normal' :) They really like costumes so people get very creative. Its fun :)
Mira, this year we're going to a hockey game for NYE. One of us is always smashed and asleep by midnight. In fact, last year was my turn, and when Mister came to wake me up to wish me a Happy New Year, I garbled something at him and smoked him with a pillow.
erog! :D I am laughing aloud! People will wake up in a minute... :D
Amy - Sorry, it was funny!
I didn't even realize I was sick. I thought it was just a headache till I knew I couldn't eat anything! I had to hang up the phone on someone as I was vomiting. It was pretty vile, actually.
I am glad to hear that you are pretty busy, but I do hope you find a new job soon and I hope you don't get sick bicycling to work in that weather!
The job situation is pretty bad over here and the bailout failed, so I am worried that this financial crisis will create an even greater dearth of jobs. My friend was promised a job by a major company, but they reneged on the offer - and waited two months to do so! Its pretty ridiculous. Anyway, I am ok here for awhile, but I may be moving - I am unsure right now. I have friends in other states and if not now, then when? - or so I ask myself!
Mira, we're finding ourselves asking the same questions here. The job I have isn't paying great, and I'd like to find a job that offers at least $2 over my current salary, but those jobs are drying up fast. People who've never havd to work in 10-15-20 years are coming into the place I'm in now to apply for work because the cash is vanishing. I hope I don't have to move, because this would be the worst possible time to sell this house. We'd get squat for it.
ergo, it sounds a bit odd to describe it, but it was very tasty! cabbage, mock crab, a couple of hot peppers, a few bit of other things...served hot or cold (i had the last serving for lunch today straight out of the fridge and it was just as tasty as last night).
the cabbage and crab actually gave it an asian flavor, like something korean. :)
Ergo - I know! A lot of people have been sick. I thought I caught something from BC! ;)
I am eating bananas and hoping. I LOVE bananas.
Oops! - not meaning to imply anything naughty by that. :)
Amy - I know hockey fans are pretty kooky - I am one! So be careful. :) I was shocked when the Red Wings won the cup and there were so few people celebrating downtown! They were probably scared of us.
When you get a chance next, check out The Onion. They posted an "article" on there after the Carolina Hurricanes won the cup a few years back, and it's freaking hilarious.
Amy - It would be terrible to have to sell just now. But, you're right a lot of people are feeling the pinch, for certain. I couldn't believe that after we bailed out AIG, many executives went on a posh vacation! A lot of people are suffering because of their greed, pure and simple.
I am always surprised to see how linked we are globally as other financial markets are feeling the pinch, too, including Canada, I know.
I do like your attitude because you're right, we do as we must.
I make fake ice cream with bananas ergo - less calories and more vitamins and it tastes great.
Freeze bananas after they ripen, then add milk or cream, and sugar or substitute, and blend. Sometimes I add a bit of ginger powder or clove powder, as I like.
I am addicted to ice cream, so we can't have any in the house! :)
Mira, it's just being serious about the gravity of the situation. Mister is panicking, and he keeps asking me "What are we gonna do?" and I keep telling him "We're gonna keep working, keep paying our bills, keep saving as much as we can."
We're not rich, and probably won't be, but we can't be stupid either.
That whole bailout, god, I thought it was going to give Glenn Beck an apoplexy.
our economy is down too, people are panicing a bit, especially those with superannuation in the US share market, I have shares and they've gone down , but I have no intention of selling yet anyway but I got a letter from some company offering me half their value and saying they'll pay in 10 business days they were a legit company but they are preying on people scared or who will need the money, like retirees I think they are like vultures!
Ergo, our PM over here keeps telling people to calm down. Meanwhile, in the middle of an election, you've got other PM hopefuls talking about spending money like Canada is made of it.
I'm no economist, but isn't it a good idea to scale back on spending when the economy is down?
may I think you have to focus on just essentials and be as careful as possible, interest rates are declining and things will flatten out then get better, I remember the big crash in the 80's and it came out of that. It's just a matter off waiting and seeing
well spending has to do with the value of the dollar etc too so it's a bit complicated at times, but if it sounds like unessential stuff I'd be wary our mining and farming sectors are actually going better as the lower dollar makes buying the coal etc more attractive to overseas
Amy OMG! Don't get me started on Glenn Beck! He's a tool, but that implies that he may be good for something, which is definitely not the case! :)
Your Onion article about the hurricanes:
"Nobody had ever heard of them before. No one knows what they want. And nobody knows why they were acting so crazy."
'The gang calling themselves the Hurricanes' "somehow gained access to Raleigh's RBC Center earlier Monday, engaged in some sort of ritualistic violence involving sticks and nets, and then proceeded to drink heavily before heading to their cars."
"Then these huge pasty white guys, all wearing, like, matching sweaters, run in screaming like madmen and holding this giant planter over their heads, which they demanded I fill with beer."
I am still laughing! Tell Mister not to panic, as that's probably the worst thing you can do. As ergo said there are unscrupulous people out there taking advantage of the situation. Suze Orman may have some advice, I find she's very knowledgeable.
ergo - That's terrible - preying on people in this situation. It was greed that got us into this mess in the first place too. Retirees, if they are not savvy, might fall for it to, if they are scared!
it is such a shame the greed and stupidity of a few very very wealthy people has led to such massive problems for ordinary battling people
one guy here said a mate of his in california had an illegal housekeeper, who with no documents got a loan of 350 000, then refinanced for 400 000 with one of the banks that led the downfall!
who in God's greeen earth could think that was a good idea?
ergo - the 'ice cream' is sweeter if the bananas are a bit over-ripe, but not too much.
You are both right, scaling back and looking to the essentials is in order. (Though I sincerely hope that here some form of universal health care is still possible, as I consider that essential).
one guy here said a mate of his in california had an illegal housekeeper, who with no documents got a loan of 350 000, then refinanced for 400 000 with one of the banks that led the downfall!
who in God's greeen earth could think that was a good idea?
*shakes her head*
600,000 on a McDonald's salary. It's sad, but true and it's every where in the states. I don't think it's happened to the extreme here, but I know we're tougher on mortgage lending here.
ergo - That is incredible! And I agree that the level of greed is appalling.
I just hope we don't suffer another Depression, like the previous one. My Mom told me a story once about eating hotdog buns with catsup during that era, when her father was laid off, and they were lucky to have that. My mom is a lot older than most Moms of people my age.
We definitely need more oversight, which means that our government is probably going to have to do it. They are considering buying a portion of our banks, at this point.
i still really like the way it looks like there are feathers drifting to the ground. i also like the strength there -- you painted this quickly, didn't you? without hestitation. there's no fear of the paper in this finger painting of yours.
and it's always so delightful when you jump in and play along with us. *grin*
Well ladies, I think I'm going to kick off too. I'm going to sleep in like a motherfucker tomorrow. Then wake up and work on my costume. It will be a day.
Amy - You may be right. If legislation put a cap on how much could be lent(sp)to people, by varying circumstance, we may have economic growth problems down the line.
I'd still like to see more oversight though, as my sister told me that only the most cunning and greedy make it to the top in our major corporations, according to friends of hers in corporate jobs. And this is regardless of ability and work ethic. They watched it happen.
So, as that is hearsay, I don't wish to speculate too much, but I wouldn't be very shocked to learn that.
It's earlier than you're used to, but humor me. Take some time and be thankful for every little thing around you. The people, the places, yes, even the things.
Whatever makes you happy, whoever makes you happy. Be thankful.
Mayo “I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.”* ok I found this quote and immediately thought of you! I have no idea whether we ever actually grasp what you mean, or do you not quite grasp your own meaning and use us to try and crystallise it? Either way, it's always a great exercise in lateral thinking. Even though maybe we are on some tangent which , even if it does touch on the arc of your meaning, it's heading in a completely different direction. Hope you enjoy the journeys as much as we do! Wishing you subtlety, logic, imagination and solidity lotsa love EP xx

That way when you criticise them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.”** I really enjoy Jack Handy, they always begin so meaningfully but end so humorously. I hope you have found some things to make you smile today. But just in case you haven't this is for you...play along please, you'll know where and what to say..

Hi PJ, Entropy, CTV, Anonswers, Mustard, NJ and P anons!
Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. I know I missed a few after I went on to bed, but I just wanted to let you know that I saw them this morning. You guys are awesome.
Have a great Saturday! Will today be the day that I finally break down and buy an MP3 player? A birthday present for myself and one for Smoke?
Good morning! How are you doing this wonderful, fall, Saturday in October? I hope you are well. Maybe you're busy getting in the Halloween spirit, checking out haunted houses, picking out costumes, decorating, stocking up on candy, watching scary movies, or visiting carnivals and fall festivals.
I used to love going to the Halloween carnival at my school. It was my favorite time of the year because it almost always fell on my birthday. Of course, now, they can't call it a "Halloween" carnival, oh no. That has been replaced with "Fall Festival". Too much evil and devil worship, I suppose, associated with Halloween. What the fuck ever, man. Whatever. But anyways, it used to be so much fun to dress up, hang with your friends and spend lots of money on those rinky dink shitty ass prizes. Cake walks, bingo, haunted houses, apple bobbing, and my favorite, the hay ride. (which was nothing but a pick'em up truck pulling a trailer filled up with hay that loaded us up and drove us around the town and back again.) Oh,and those glow in the dark necklaces that seemed to lose their glowiness as soon as you walked into your house. And last but not least, those goldfish you could win that never survived more than a night in that tiny little bowl once you got him home and named him.
Some of the best times of my life.
Wow, I didn't expect this post to turn into a stroll down memory lane, but that's just how my mind works sometimes. I had all intentions of telling you about my dream of somehow logging into your photobucket and seeing nothing but pictures of houses and dogs and cats and such. I was like "wow, Mayo is the King of Suburia!" And I was shocked when I didn't find photo one of the Lovelies.
I guess I went to bed with combustible cock on the brain, Mayo.
Go ahead, laugh. I know you want to.
Love to YOU Always, S
p.s. Little pink houses, and yellow ones, and blue ones....
What are you doing? Have you had your coffee yet? I haven't. I am not pleased about it either. I have the slowest damn coffee maker on the face of the planet.
*sigh*
Anyhoo, I hope you are doing well. I know you always say you are but yeah, whatever. I really do hope so. Give yourself a hug and then say, "That was from Smoke."
Hee-hee. Cheesy, I know. I can't help it! ^_^
Have a great Saturday!
SS!!!
You feeling froggy today? Slap yourself upside the head and say, "That was from Smoke." Just kidding! I hope you are doing well, too. Always! Just wanted to let you know that I miss ya just a tiny little bit. I hope you have a great weekend and hope to see you around someday soon.
Checked it out and put it on the main page because it was so epic!
SS,
Don't go around smacking yourself in the head even though Princess Smoke told you to. That kind of behavior when witnessed by others might get you some really weird looks....hey, on second thought, let's all go around smacking ourselves in the head today. Like, "D'oh! I should have had a V8!" and then when people ask us why we are doing it, we will say, "Duh, because the Princess told me to!" This will be fabulous!
Head smacking across the Universe!
Like Smoke already said, We're missing you just a lil bit. Hope your Saturday is made of win and all things awesome!
One more thing. Anon who asked about my necklace: It is not a cross, or a crucifix, or anything of the sort. It is a Hula pendent similar to this one. By the same artist, but a different design. They don't make the one that I have anymore.
Yesterday made me think and realise just how crazy things actually are. There was a 9th grader who went to school as normal in the morning, but instead of placing his books and his pens in his back-pack that morning, he placed his fathers gun, ammunition, screwdrivers, wire, 4 cell phones and a bag of weed in his bag.
He set off to school, I don’t really know what he was thinking of doing but you can imagine, but luckily his mother noticed the gun was missing and rang the school. On arrival to the school the boy was met by the armed police, sheriffs and Paramedics. The boy was intercepted and placed in the juvenile detention centre. If the mother hadn’t of noticed the gun was missing, who knows what would have happened and I am glad that he was detained.
My brother was in fact working at that school that morning, I am thankful that he was safe and that all the other public are safe, it just scares me what actually goes through peoples minds.
Anyhoot, I am sorry but I just needed to write it out and out of my mind.
Good morning everyone I hope you are all having a super saturday.
PP - thank you so much for your email, i cant tell you enough how much you made me smile, just for being you and totally amazing for your thoughts.
L - I hope you recieved my email the other week, anyhoot, good to see you back.
Solly, and smok, and jules. great to see you back as well, and your party made me laugh, glad you had a good time :)
GS - *hugs*, I hope you are well and good to see you :)
FASC - you make me laugh, you are one crazy cookie, dont ever change lol.
ergo - I got your comment on my video, i will leave a comment there again, thank you for watching :)
SS - *noggie* Sorry, just felt like giving you a noggie so *lowers head* I will let you give me a noggie in return :) just dont mess the hair hehehehe. Hope you are well and having fun, fun, FUN.
That is scary. I worry about sending my son to school every single day. You just never know what's going on in other people's lives and how it might end up affecting yours.
I'm glad it all turned out okay though. Maybe now that boy will get the help he needs instead of shooting someone or himself and ending up in prison for the rest of his life.
Thanks for sharing that story. It does really make you think about how crazy the world is and how things can go horribly wrong.
We don't have many instances around here where kids are caught with guns, but drugs and knives for sure. And teens here get the biggest kick out of calling in a bomb threat. But I did hear a story the other day about a couple of high school football players and some girls that made me really sad. It seems the teens were caught in the parking lot performing sex acts for pills.
I think that's a really big problem here in our small town. It's kind of like that Tim McGraw song..."Drugs or Jesus".
And I was mostly sad because it wasn't shocking to me at all to hear about it.
I can imagine smok, you just never know what goes on.
I remember elena sayign something about a bomb at her daughters school, it just shows that it is everywhere and you cant get away from that sad reality.
In england, there is a lot of problem with youths with knives and guns. I think it is disgusting, i just dont like guns full stop.
wow solly, that is just wrong. I was watching a documentry where the bassist of blur went to a country where they are big in exporting cocaine. He was going around and interviewing people who are in the business and sayign that there is a hitman who does killings every week.
It is a real eye opener and that kinda leads to the drugs around the world.
10.51 that was a nice picture, good morning to you.
10.52 Can i just say thank you for linking that picture, i know it wasnt for me but i saw it and loved it. It is beautiful, kinda tranquil and i can imagine sitting there and just enjoying the view and the sunset.
"^ And she might be counting on MCR fans over-analyzing everything she says and think it's about Gerard, so they'll listen in.
Oh wait."
Awww, come on - it's all she's "famous" for, and shouldn't that be "EX-MCR fans" in our case!
Anyone else ever-so-slightly depressed that BOTH she and Lyn-Z have seen their careers take an upward trajectory after bumping uglies with this douchebag? All those bras burned in vain...

Yep, what was the point of the feminist movement when all these impressional little BN kids see a number of women getting famous of their other halves. They're going to think they don't need a brain, just spring-open legs and a blog.

Yup. It's sad that even Oscar-winning actresses - Gwynnie, Angie - were better known for who (and how!) they were fucking at the beginning of their Hollywood careers. Same with J-Lo, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz..

The thing that sets the women on that list apart from Eliza and LynZ is that most of them have talent. Eliza and LynZ don't.

J-Lo was a fly girl on In Living color so she wasn't completely unknown. Penelope Cruz is more known for being a home wrecker. She stars in a movie with some well known actor, next thing you know he has broken up with the women he was with before and taken up with her. Angie has a famous father, once she started acting she was known more for being the daughter of Jon Voight . Both of Gwynnie parents are famous so she was known because of her parents as well. I remember hearing about Nicole way before she hooked up with her famous ex husband.
But most of the women on that list were nominated or won an oscar for their acting. That is something you are not going to win just because you are fucking some one who is famous. That take talent something those women have. Even J-lo, she was a well known dancer long before she fucked P. Diddy.
Those women also didn't talk about how upset they were for only being know for who they were dating. They went out there and worked their asses off to get their own fame apart from the men in their lives.

I think people don't like Eliza because she just won't quit. When she was with Gerard she wouldn't stay quiet about it. Even though he wouldn't admit to it publicly.
She is no longer with him but she is still using his name to stay famous.

I don't really understand why everyone keeps bringing Eliza up on this blog. To me, she seems irrelevant at this point.
I agree that Gerard didn't treat her well, but we all know he's an asshole. I didn't like Eliza back when she was with Gerard and I don't like her now. Just like I won't give a flying fuck about Lindsey when either a) Gerard dumps her skank-ass or b) her skank-ass dumps him.
Eliza has already had her say about Gerard. There are no new revelations that she has to make about him. I say people stop giving her attention she doesn't deserve.
Soon MSI is going to fade into obscurity as well. They've had 10 years to make some kind of mark in music and the most they've managed to do is get a few posters in a couple of glorified teenie mags in the UK and to play a birthday party for a spoiled brat with a druggie mom that nobody really gives two shits about - and all of that just because their shit bass player married into a more famous band.
All of these people are a joke. Let's just laugh at them while we can and then move on to the next thing.

Yes, but sadly they've made MCR into a joke. You can't be caught dead wearing MCR merch or listening to the music without being laughed at. Gerard's bad judgement has ruined everything for the fans and the other members of the band. I don't hate Eliza or LynZ - I hate Gerard.
Calaf, Shakespeare anons, Waste Lands anons, poetry anons, RDJ anons, people who used to play movie and TV quote games, people who used to play other kinds of games:
Will you visit me at the porch sometimes? I really miss the lot of you.
I have a question. I bought some frozen fruit mix the other day for smoothies. One of them was honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple and blackberry. I have no idea what kind of juice o use. Do blackberries and strawberries go well together?
Back away from the Jack...unless it's Jack White. A JD smoothie just doesn't sound very refreshing to me, but this is coming from someone who once chased shots of JD with JD Lynchburg Lemonades.
People at the porch who left because of the negativity. Can't you see the ones who did it just sitting there smiling with toothy grins because they won? I wish you would all reconsider.
I like uverworld, Larenciel, some guitar wolf and I can't think of The others.
Ep it is just frozen fruit. The smoothie is made up of a 1 1/2 cup pineapple juice, 2 scoops melon sorbet, 4 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt and about a 1/2 cup of the fruit mix. I than went back and added a handful of blackberries. I had some blackberries by its self. as the 4 scopes of yogurt is with the two scoops I added with the blackberries
[Poetry] may make us from time to time a little more aware of the deeper, unnamed feelings which form the substratum of our being, to which we rarely penetrate; for our lives are mostly a constant evasion of ourselves.
Mayo's has been done a favor. I honestly honestly HONESTLY think that many people (yes including Mayo) are glad they're not going to clutter evreything up anymore. This is an improvement.
maybe the honeydew etc is a bit to strong so try a bit less enxt time?
I usually make smoothies with frozen fruit, yoghurt and a little bit of milk about 1/2 cup frozen fruit, 1 cup yoghurt and about a scant 1/4 cup milk If I use juice I usually use orange but not too much as I don't like them too thin
maybe try just a few ingredients and see what it needs I wouldn't put melons with berries, but I just prefer the flavours separately I use a frozen mixed berry and a berry yoghurt, adding a chopped frozen banana works too, it'll make it thicker. if it's just banana I use frozen banana (chop and freeze and it doesn't go brown) and a honey yoghurt
how about we just leave the issue? people agree or disagree I don't think the intent was for anyone to leave, but anonymous posters seem to have just picked it up and flown with it for their own purposes If everyone practised moderation in everything and all people remained mindful of others I'm sure everyone could coexist
But they WEREN'T moderate. I don't mind the poetry and lyrics we read every day here NOW but when they did it it drove it into the ground. It has NOTHING to do with what "anons" think because we are people too. Just most of us happen to agree with Amyranth. She has the right idea about this blog and shouldn't the majority vote rule?
Both of you, thanks for the advice on the sewing. Changing the tension defintely fixed it. I was hoping it wasn't the needle too, because it's a brand frigging new machine, and I would have had to hit someone with it if it were broken already.
RW, it's getting better! I'm going to have to redo those gloves completely, but I still have tons of time on my hands. I figure if I do 2 hours of sewing every day until hallowe'en, I'll have it finished sooner rather than later.
Mayo has to take his share in the blame. When everyone was asking them to stop posting the ENDLESS poetry, he thanked them for posting it and then he put Sdock's poem up for all to see. That only made them smug and keep posting poetry. He specifically asked Kapu to write him poems too. I don't think it was a good idea for him to do that. He should have listened to what everyone else wanted and not encouraged them.
Maybe tell the porchies they can come back under certain conditions. Like - one poem a night. One picture a week. And they can play their games if they limit them to a certain time.
Does that sound OK to everyone? that might be an option. Moderation.
..and continuing harassment isn't solving anything either the majority does not automatically make any "rule" and anons may be people too, and there are many who are lovely to speak to, but those who jump on people for the sake of hassling and accusing are creating a very unpleasant blog for everyone.

oh that's good amy, but needles do get damaged easily and a little bend at the bottm can mean it will sew badly, do keep a box of spares and sizes
The discord here was never about the poetry, it was about the misunderstandings that were never addressed and level of disconnection and resentments that grew. All of you have to work together to get along.
Mayo is a blogger. Try not to elevate him to some high standard.
I'm assuming he appreciates your company as well as you all appreciates this room.
I haven't specifically befoer RW but it's just boiling onion and tomatoes with bayleaf, cloves and peppercorns (in muslin) then mixing in sugar vinegar salt and tomato paste then putting in sterilised bottles.
I've made other chutneys and relishes before, and I've made a tomato based BBQ sauce but I got %kg of roma tomatoes for $3 so I decided to preserve them like that
It is not censorship. It is being polite to others by not spamming up a public board with creations that are designed JUST to get attention. You can write those creations elsewhere. No one is stopping you.
even if no one gets me, if i'm the only one laughing at my jokes, i won't hide myself away from life. it's uncertain and it's dirty and it's fucking exciting, and i want to be a part of all of it.

heart full
Today on my way home from class, I stopped off at the petrol station for some petrol. I paid on my card which wasn’t a lot, and then as I was getting into my car, I saw an old man walking past the building. He had a red and green stripy jumper which was frayed at the ends. He was also wearing some jeans that were dirty and had holes all over.
I sat there and became intrigued by him because I didn’t know what he was doing, so as I sat there and watched him, he continued doing what he set out to do.
He walked past the trash cans and first picked out a cup with some drink still in it (one of the cups that you get from burger king that has coke in it). He then walked over to the next trash can and pulled out the end of a half eaten sandwich. In my shock horror, he ate it and then went to sit on the wall to drink the drink he had found.
I felt sad, I wanted to give him my last $4 that I had but I was told when I was younger that you should never give people money, you should give them something they need or can use because that way, if they had an addiction, they would not be able to use the money for their addiction. So I went into the shop and bought a chicken sandwich from their deli counter and then walked out of the building.
The guy was still sat at the wall drinking his drink so I walked up to him and asked him if he would like this sandwich. He thanked me and said that he was hungry.
I should of felt good after that, doing something for someone else but all I could think of is where his next meal will come from or where in fact he will sleep tonight.

It helped.
Jennicula,
Thank you for sharing your story. Although it only appeared briefly, I was lucky enough to have caught it.
Once upon a time, for me, that was the best part of this place...having my words related back to me from another's perspective.
And it never mattered to me who said it, just that it meant something to the writer.

Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life. Hold your head up high and be proud of who you are. If you've had a shitty day and you feel like people just don't want you to be happy, and when you find yourself struggling to make it through the day, just keep on believing and keep the faith. Also, from personal experience, don't push people away. When they say they want to help and that they are there for you, let them in. Believe me, I know how fucking scary that thought is, but don't shut others out.

Retro-spectacled
Sometimes, when you look back on stuff in your life, you know, the crap that makes you shake your head and say, "Holy shit, what the Hell was I thinking?" it's part of what makes you - you.
I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I have made small mistakes and really big, fucking scary mistakes. Would I change those mistakes and blunders?
No. Wanna know why?
Because they make me - me. They help make up the person that I am, what I've learned the hard way. Hopefully I've learned from my mistakes and have become a better person for it. And, hopefully I don't repeat those same mistakes. Although, sometimes I repeat variations of certain ones, but I'm working on that. :)

aloft
Blazing against the sun like locusts, samaras swarm the sky and skitter to an earthly end, dry like clever words. I want to make them fly up, flip heaven upside down and dance across the top of hell and sing your thoughts to the sound of thunder that you love so well, rip open the littered sky and bathe in the light or draw across the firmament the blanket of the night.
In only a day they have covered the ground, their brief flight yielding nothing permanent on infertile land, a fleeting moment of swarming glory that calls to mind our own short story: Diamonds and petals, the loom and the light, the inkdark moon, foxfire marsh, an open, waiting hand.
Clever winged seeds of childhood reminiscent-- and like the idiot grown-up heart, as stubbornly indehiscent.

Electric Blue
…today I saw a ulysses butterfly it was in our yard and settled to feed on our hibiscus. They really are fantastically beautiful things, the electric blue is amazing, however as they sit with their wings closed they are rather nondescript and dull. Sometimes people are like that, from the outside they seem unappealing but within there hides an amazing beauty for those lucky enough to see it. I hope you appreciate beauty in all things, and look for it perhaps where others miss it.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
I read your post again and suddenly without warning memories of construction paper filled my head. I remembered all the lop-sided flowers my girls made when they were young. Bright blue, yellow and pink flowers that were cut out with blunt end scissors would fill the windows to decorate for Easter. An occasional bunny was attempted but those usually ended up looking like creatures from a horror movie. Flowers were so much easier. I can close my eyes and hear the paper being cut into petals. I can smell the Elmer’s glue squirted on in huge blobs to attach each misshapen petal to form the flowers. We had a huge arts and crafts box full of wonderful items just waiting for their imaginations to turn into something wonderful. In my mind I see my daughters, as they once were, small, blond little girls sitting on the floor surrounded by scraps of paper and other art supplies. They would create their masterpieces then proudly show each other. Oh and Lord the messes that would ensue if the glitter made an appearance. Now, the box is forgotten. I’m not really sure where it even is anymore. The few flowers so lovingly created that survived are faded and dusty and high on a shelf they sit. Time marches on, so many things get left behind.
Today was the first Easter I spent alone. I don’t think it really upset me until I remembered the construction paper flowers. Of course I understand that my daughters are growing up and have lives of their own. But understanding doesn’t make it any easier to accept. I miss my little girls in their frilly Easter dresses. I miss the laughter that filled the house when they found what the Easter Bunny left for them. And I miss making the damn flowers.

«Oldest ‹Older 1201 – 1400 of 4780 Newer› Newest»I wish I had the money to go all out with Hallowe'en decorations this year. I thought it would be a lot of fun to have blood spilled and spattered all over the house, and when the kids knock on the door, to have Mister fling it open, screaming and waving a bloody knife with his brother "dead" on the stairs.
Too much?
-A
naaaaaaah.
don't forget the graves in the front yard, if you have a front yard.
-A is hormonal. Sorry.
Teej, we have friends who would play dead people for a few cheap drinks.
And it's not like we'd be trying to avoid giving out candy. The kids that are brave enough to stand there and watch would get candy.
-A
Wow that was weird. All of a sudden I had the blue screen of death.
I think my computer is tired.
O_O
Blue screen of death? That's not good.
Done a scan and wipe lately?
-A
i like the way you approach handing out treats, amyranth. ;)
is your computer alright, elena? that would freak me out.
-A
hello anyone still here?
titoring took longer than i anticipated
then I went to the shops and I bought an avocado to make sushi rolls for dinner, and found some bottles for the tomato ketchup I'm going to make
oh you are!
I historied to the other page and wasn't sure
HI elena nice pumpkins!
hey can you give me an idea of your shirt and foot size?
(on email of course)
Hi amy
Hi TJ
:}
I'm back from the blue screen of death.
Hey Ergo.
blue screen of death is not good, perhaps the halloween haunting is starting early!
Mmmm... sushi!
Hallo Ergo.
Hallo Elena, Conqueror of The Blue Screen of Death.
-A
Wow I'm really something tonight. I have conquered the clicky link and the blue screen of death.
I'm ready to take on the world!!!!
*clears her throat*
Bow, Saint Elena, The *snicker* Pure.
*taps sword on shoulder, head and shoulder again*
And rise, Saint Elena, The *snicker Pure Conqueror.
- Queen Amyranth
Hi ergo, Elena and Amy!
I like your halloween decorations, Elena! We never get to it till the night before, but I think we do have some creepy windy-wheel things up. :)
You mastered the clickety-link :) Its no small feat!
I won't be here long - I still have things to do.
hello ergo. did i read your comment correctly? you're making your own ketchup??
amyranth, that's crazy? no costumes? *tsk*
and bravo elena!
Teej, it's sad. :(
Hallo Mira!! How have you been?
-A can't tighten her own corset.
hey go to my blog an check out what I did!
I added a song!
you have to wait a sec for it to load though
Amy - I always like going to the club on halloween night - even if its in the middle of the week because they all show up in costume.
Its not obvious that they are in costume, but they are. Someone had Xs across his eyes last year and Ps on his shirt. It took me awhile as I had been drinking, but I figured it out.
Black eyed peas!
Hey Miranth. Good to see you.
Excuse me Amy...What is that snickering about?
hi miranth!
amy snot snikering! she is ready for world domination, we want to be her friends ;)
I am TJ I got a whole heap of tomatoes so I'm going to bottle it
Mira, that's clever!
I'd love to go to the bar and Hallowe'en, but there's also more weirdos than usual out that night. So we stay home and drink.
-A
Ahem hem hem..
Nothing. No snickering. Trying to tighten my own corset, you probably heard the air whooshing out of my lungs. Sometimes, it sounds like a snicker.
-A
snot = stop
what was I thinking?
Hi TJ!!
ergo - I make some damn good sushi myself! I add extra mayo ;) And make sure the sticky rice is the perfect texture.
amy - I am fine! I had a bout with a stomach bug yesterday, which is why I am home tonight, but I can keep food down now. Gross, but true! How are you doing? I like your costume ideas.
Erog, you were thinking I was gonna get the snot beat out of me? ;)
Mira, poor thing. I haven't had a stomach thing in so long. I'm not whining about that either!
I'm not bad, working on my costumes, and working my ass off. Gotta find a new job though. Everything is good in your neck of the woods though?
-A
Amy - Over here the weirdos are out on New Years Eve! :D That's when I go to a house party and hunker down for the night! I go to a goth/punk/dance club usu. on halloween, so the crowd is pretty 'normal' :) They really like costumes so people get very creative. Its fun :)
I have some left over chicken so I'm going to make chicken and avocado rolls, and use the rest for a vietnamese chicken style salad
hey there miranth. :)
well, i am impressed, ergo! oh, i have a recipe for your kitchen blog, a nice casserole we just had. i'll post it tomorrow.
gosh mira glad you feel better
a lot of people have been sick lately
thanks TJ!
what sort of casserole is it?
I'm getting ideas for this weeks dinners
I have marinated pork spareribs for tomorrow
but after that I'm uninspired as yet
Ergo, I'm coming over for dinner, okay?
Mira, this year we're going to a hockey game for NYE. One of us is always smashed and asleep by midnight. In fact, last year was my turn, and when Mister came to wake me up to wish me a Happy New Year, I garbled something at him and smoked him with a pillow.
-A
:)
no worries Amy I'll set an extra place
Sorry I wandered off again.
Well I better go get some work done. Nice talking to you all.
Just remember if you need anything just say my name 3 times.
Erog is my violent and misshapen alter ego
will do elena,
elena
............
nah, I'll let you get work done
sweet dreams when you retire
amd email sizes please? I found some stuff I want to get you
Mira, we're finding ourselves asking the same questions here.
But, needs does as needs must, right?
-A
good night elena. (#1)
ergo, it sounds a bit odd to describe it, but it was very tasty! cabbage, mock crab, a couple of hot peppers, a few bit of other things...served hot or cold (i had the last serving for lunch today straight out of the fridge and it was just as tasty as last night).
the cabbage and crab actually gave it an asian flavor, like something korean. :)
Ooh Goody! I'll even help with the dishes afterwards!
-A
Ergo - I know!
*giggles at Mira*
When you get a chance next, check out The Onion. They posted an "article" on there after the Carolina Hurricanes won the cup a few years back, and it's freaking hilarious.
-A
ooh tasty tj, can you use real crab?
I have a can in the cupboard I was going to make souffle, but that sounds interesting
I love bananas too mira, they'd be pretty much my fave fruit, so easy to eat too
Goodnight Elena, elen... Sorry! :)
i don't see why you couldn't use real crab, ergo. i'll be sure to post the recipe in my morning for you. :)
Mmmm... Ice Cream...
-A
I must try it Mira
our economy is down too, people are panicing a bit, especially those with superannuation in the US share market,
I have shares and they've gone down , but I have no intention of selling yet anyway but I got a letter from some company offering me half their value and saying they'll pay in 10 business days
they were a legit company but they are preying on people scared or who will need the money, like retirees
I think they are like vultures!
Ergo, our PM over here keeps telling people to calm down. Meanwhile, in the middle of an election, you've got other PM hopefuls talking about spending money like Canada is made of it.
I'm no economist, but isn't it a good idea to scale back on spending when the economy is down?
-A
may I think you have to focus on just essentials and be as careful as possible, interest rates are declining and things will flatten out then get better, I remember the big crash in the 80's and it came out of that.
It's just a matter off waiting and seeing
Ergo, I hope so. Still need a better job though. :P
-A
well spending has to do with the value of the dollar etc too so it's a bit complicated at times, but if it sounds like unessential stuff I'd be wary
our mining and farming sectors are actually going better as the lower dollar makes buying the coal etc more attractive to overseas
Retirees, if they are not savvy, might fall for it to, if they are scared!
keep looking amy and be ready to get in fast if you do see something, keep asking around and you never know what might come up
i have no idea why i'm still awake. :/
good night amyranth, ergo, miranth, and any and all lurking.
sweet dreams.
Mira, isn't that article awesome??
I love the accompanying picture too!
Ergo, you're right. The old saying is "you have to spend money to make money" and they say it for a reason.
I'm not sure why though. :P
-A
it is such a shame the greed and stupidity of a few very very wealthy people has led to such massive problems for ordinary battling people
one guy here said a mate of his in california had an illegal housekeeper, who with no documents got a loan of 350 000, then refinanced for 400 000 with one of the banks that led the downfall!
who in God's greeen earth could think that was a good idea?
ergo - the 'ice cream' is sweeter if the bananas are a bit over-ripe, but not too much.
You are both right, scaling back and looking to the essentials is in order. (Though I sincerely hope that here some form of universal health care is still possible, as I consider that essential).
Goodnight Teej!
Ergo, that's pretty much the only option right now, keep looking, keep watching, keep waiting.
It'll all be alright someday. I just gotta work for it, I suppose.
-A
as long as you spend wisely Amy, which a lot of people don't.
goodnight Tj sweet dreams
I'll look forward to the recipe :]
one guy here said a mate of his in california had an illegal housekeeper, who with no documents got a loan of 350 000, then refinanced for 400 000 with one of the banks that led the downfall!
who in God's greeen earth could think that was a good idea?
*shakes her head*
600,000 on a McDonald's salary. It's sad, but true and it's every where in the states. I don't think it's happened to the extreme here, but I know we're tougher on mortgage lending here.
-A
ergo - That is incredible!
^ Oops I was responding to Amy just there.
yes it's a lot harder here, credit isn't real hard but mortgages etc are
Mira, with the bailout turning out to be a FAILout, I can't help but wonder if the government should just keep their nose out of things for a bit.
But then again, I'm not American, and I don't really know how you ugys run things there.
-A
Goodnight Teej! Sweet dreams.
I think I read that your sister is better? I was glad to hear that.
Take care of yourself too!
mayo,
i still really like the way it looks like there are feathers drifting to the ground. i also like the strength there -- you painted this quickly, didn't you? without hestitation. there's no fear of the paper in this finger painting of yours.
and it's always so delightful when you jump in and play along with us. *grin*
i hope you're well. always.
good night.
*checks the time*
Well ladies, I think I'm going to kick off too. I'm going to sleep in like a motherfucker tomorrow. Then wake up and work on my costume. It will be a day.
Goodnight Lovelies, Mayo and SS!
-A
Amy - You may be right.
Goodnight, Amy! I will kick off too, as it is quite late, and I still have things to do.
Take care, everyone!
Solly, I hope you enjoyed your birthday!
RW - The costumes were perfect! I like the detail, and they look meticulously made. Bravo!
:)
Psst, Hey Mayo!
It's earlier than you're used to, but humor me. Take some time and be thankful for every little thing around you. The people, the places, yes, even the things.
Whatever makes you happy, whoever makes you happy. Be thankful.
Goodnight
-A
goodnight amy and miranth sweet dreams to both of you
I was getting my rice cooked, then hubby came home so I got a bit distracted!
I'm off to cook dinner, back later mayo!

ok I found this quote and immediately thought of you!
Wishing you subtlety, logic, imagination and solidity

Hi PJ, Entropy, CTV, Anonswers, Mustard, NJ and P anons!
Hi BlogBelievers!
We'll see....
I have a question. Why does this "Hey Dummy!!!!/Take the DUMB TEST" keep popping up in a Yahoo window? Is it just me?
I don't want to take the dumb test?
Suppose I pass?
O_O
I can no longer resist. I must know!
I'm off to take the Dumb test. I shall let you all know the results!
*blows kisses*
Mayo,
Good morning!
Love to YOU Always,
S
p.s. Little pink houses, and yellow ones, and blue ones....
Solly,
You will have to check out my dream at DM. :)
Mayo,
What are you doing? Have you had your coffee yet? I haven't. I am not pleased about it either. I have the slowest damn coffee maker on the face of the planet.
*sigh*
Anyhoo, I hope you are doing well. I know you always say you are but yeah, whatever. I really do hope so. Give yourself a hug and then say, "That was from Smoke."
Hee-hee. Cheesy, I know. I can't help it! ^_^
Have a great Saturday!
SS!!!
You feeling froggy today? Slap yourself upside the head and say, "That was from Smoke."
Just kidding! I hope you are doing well, too. Always! Just wanted to let you know that I miss ya just a tiny little bit. I hope you have a great weekend and hope to see you around someday soon.
XOXO
Smoke,
Checked it out and put it on the main page because it was so epic!
SS,
Don't go around smacking yourself in the head even though Princess Smoke told you to. That kind of behavior when witnessed by others might get you some really weird looks....hey, on second thought, let's all go around smacking ourselves in the head today. Like, "D'oh! I should have had a
V8!" and then when people ask us why we are doing it, we will say, "Duh, because the Princess told me to!" This will be fabulous!
Head smacking across the Universe!
Like Smoke already said, We're missing you just a lil bit. Hope your Saturday is made of win and all things awesome!
Good morning Princess and Solly!
TJ: You're going to love Neuromancer. I used to dress up as Molly; she's the coolest character.
Mayo and S(S)S, I miss you guys. If I ever see that you are around when I'm around, I will pop in for sure if you don't mind. ^_^
Meanwhile, it's back to DM for me. :)
One more thing. Anon who asked about my necklace: It is not a cross, or a crucifix, or anything of the sort. It is a Hula pendent similar to this one. By the same artist, but a different design. They don't make the one that I have anymore.
Not a cross. I promise you. ^_^
Good morning everyone
I hope you are all having a super saturday.
SS - *noggie*
Sorry, just felt like giving you a noggie so
*lowers head*
I will let you give me a noggie in return :) just dont mess the hair hehehehe. Hope you are well and having fun, fun, FUN.
Good God, Fimble.
Fim,
Thanks for sharing that story.
♥good morning and more♥
good♥♥morning
(and a day)
:)
wow solly, that is just wrong. I was watching a documentry where the bassist of blur went to a country where they are big in exporting cocaine. He was going around and interviewing people who are in the business and sayign that there is a hitman who does killings every week.
It is a real eye opener and that kinda leads to the drugs around the world.
:)
♥♥
10.51 that was a nice picture, good morning to you.
10.52
Can i just say thank you for linking that picture, i know it wasnt for me but i saw it and loved it. It is beautiful, kinda tranquil and i can imagine sitting there and just enjoying the view and the sunset.
Have a lovely day.

Sorry, I ment pathetic.
I wonder when she's going to start flashing her vagina to people?

Anyone who doesn't know: Discussmayo AKA the porch.
SWA, that goes for you as well and anyone else nice.
Ditto. :)
Or, you could all visit Kapunua, Smoke -or anybody else- at their blogs.
^_^
Or both. Or anywhere your little heart desires.
^_^
When I emoticon, I swear it's just weird.
i'm so hungry i think i'm going to die. (and posting a new recipe over at ergo's kitchen blog didn't help matters any!)

Hello,
I have a question. I bought some frozen fruit mix the other day for smoothies. One of them was honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple and blackberry. I have no idea what kind of juice o use. Do blackberries and strawberries go well together?
Hi, MJ :)
Couldn't tell ya, I'm afraid :/
RW,
You win for that! That was fabulous.
MJ,
I have no clue about blackberries and strawberries together but it sounds good to me.
pineapple juice would be good.
a little vodka would also be very good :)
YUM!
Or rum.
Rum + pineapple = bitches ( the name of the drink)= delicious!
Thank you for all the suggestions. I don't have any vodka or rum. Just Jack Daniels.
I think that would work martha :)
It would also help get through work a lot faster. ;)
We can call it a jack daniel smoothie! LOL!
Smoothie with a kick!
Well, if there is a Red Bull smoothie, I'm sure a whisky smoothie couldn't be any worse!
to heck with the frozen fruit mix...straight up jack daniels and you wont even remember the work! :)
I want to know what do you put in a Red Bull smoothie. Beside red bull. I keep thinking vodka. But thats not a smoothie.

considering that my asshole supervisor always smells of alcohol we might actually get along for once.
MJ,
Back away from the Jack...unless it's Jack White. A JD smoothie just doesn't sound very refreshing to me, but this is coming from someone who once chased shots of JD with JD Lynchburg Lemonades.
Not one of my brighter moments.
Well, I've got to go get groceries. And red nail polish.
Have a good day, all :)
BULL RIDER
Red Bull, Jack Daniels & 7up
considering that my asshole supervisor always smells of alcohol we might actually get along for once.
LOL, if you cant beat um, join um
Later RW. SD I used to put the JD in my tea and drink it. Raspberry tea and JD.
LOL, if you cant beat um, join um
;)
I cant drink jack daniels. It will destroy what brain cells i have left!
My first time drinking was at home. We had a bunch of wild turkey and JD just sitting there. So I went for it.
since it is getting cooler, i could go for some coffee with a little or alot of irish cream ♥
Did you wake up with a killer hangover martha? Ha HA
Bye martha, easy with the Jack Daniels. Remember, a little go a long way!
Sorry about that I was making a smoothie. The honeydew over powers everything.
No hangover. I only had one cup of each.
Bye anon.
goodmorning
hi anons RW MJ
hows things?
2hrs to Bathurst!!!!!
(it's a huge yearly car race over here)
MJ do you want an alcoholic smoothie? or just a normal one?
I was going for a regular one. which is what I have right now.But like I said the honeydew is over powering everything.
I went back and but in more blackberries and yogurt. Still the honeydew is the main taste.
Hello Ep
I killed the blog.
So tumble weed, my smoothie is a bit to sweet and all I taste is honeydew and cantaloupe. What should I do?
*runs in with a Japanese Band in tow*

Hello Amy
I heart J Rock!
People at the porch who left because of the negativity. Can't you see the ones who did it just sitting there smiling with toothy grins because they won? I wish you would all reconsider.
6:18 if you want to talk to them, go to
discussmayo.
Just enjoy this blog now for what it is. ^__^
We all love j rock
6:18
Who are you actually talking about?
Nobody has left as far as I'm aware. I've read most of them here today, yesterday, day before........
what's in the smoothie mow MJ?
(I was out feeding my animals)
what is the fruit mix like? is it just frozen fruit?
Which bands Martha?
6:21, enjoy what?
mow = now
Hallo MJ and Ergo!
So, MJ, which poison of choice did you slip into your smoothie?
-A
Hi Amy
I think it's going to rain again :/
hey does anyone remember last year I had a pair of olive sunbirds nesting on my veranda? Well they are rebuilding their nest for this year :]
Amy no poison added I want to see what it would come out like.
I will be back I am going to run to the store.
Oooh, really? I'll have to google them, I've never even heard of them before.
Sucks that you warm up just as we cool down.
So, Hallowe'en is coming, and I think we should have a party.
-A
*Shakes head at 6:21*
For you
[Poetry] may make us from time to time a little more aware of the deeper, unnamed feelings which form the substratum of our being, to which we rarely penetrate; for our lives are mostly a constant evasion of ourselves.
See you in a bit MJ!
Man, I forgot to buy cranberry sauce again. :P
-A
6:42, I'd agree if it wasn't so constantly exploited, but that's just how I feel.
-A
Mayo's has been done a favor. I honestly honestly HONESTLY think that many people (yes including Mayo) are glad they're not going to clutter evreything up anymore. This is an improvement.
maybe the honeydew etc is a bit to strong so try a bit less enxt time?
I usually make smoothies with frozen fruit, yoghurt and a little bit of milk
about 1/2 cup frozen fruit, 1 cup yoghurt and about a scant 1/4 cup milk
If I use juice I usually use orange but not too much as I don't like them too thin
maybe try just a few ingredients and see what it needs
I wouldn't put melons with berries, but I just prefer the flavours separately
I use a frozen mixed berry and a berry yoghurt, adding a chopped frozen banana works too, it'll make it thicker.
if it's just banana I use frozen banana (chop and freeze and it doesn't go brown) and a honey yoghurt
Amy is right. The poetry from them was TOO MUCH.
Hi :)
how about we just leave the issue?
people agree or disagree
I don't think the intent was for anyone to leave, but anonymous posters seem to have just picked it up and flown with it for their own purposes
If everyone practised moderation in everything and all people remained mindful of others I'm sure everyone could coexist
hi RW!
Hi, EP :D
How's things?
Hi, A & anons :)
Amyranth you are entitled to your opinions as I am entitled to mine.
I don't think they were posted to derail anything. However I do understand other viewpoints. Some just do not appreciate poetry. That is fine.
6:48, I repeat, you are entitled to your opinion as well, however I don't agree.
Hallo RW!
Both of you, thanks for the advice on the sewing. Changing the tension defintely fixed it. I was hoping it wasn't the needle too, because it's a brand frigging new machine, and I would have had to hit someone with it if it were broken already.
-A
6:53, you are assuming they were always posted from the same source.
Good to hear the sewing turned out well, A :)
RW, it's getting better! I'm going to have to redo those gloves completely, but I still have tons of time on my hands. I figure if I do 2 hours of sewing every day until hallowe'en, I'll have it finished sooner rather than later.
-A
Mayo has to take his share in the blame.
Moderation.
Anyone else think 7.03 and 7:04 are not all they seem-sheep in wolves clothing kinda thing.
Perhaps a deliberate attempt to make the current majority here look unreasonable and bad to Mayo????
It's all about strategy I fear.
Just ignore them I say-they will soon tire, we can only hope.
..and continuing harassment isn't solving anything either
the majority does not automatically make any "rule"
and anons may be people too, and there are many who are lovely to speak to, but those who jump on people for the sake of hassling and accusing are creating a very unpleasant blog for everyone.
~fin
oh that's good amy, but needles do get damaged easily and a little bend at the bottm can mean it will sew badly, do keep a box of spares and sizes
I'm just making ketchup
Good on ya, A :) Please take pictures of it when it's all done!
You're making ketchup, EP?
RW, I will! I'll probably look funny though, so get the popcorn out!
Ergo have you made ketchup before?
-A
The discord here was never about the poetry, it was about the misunderstandings that were never addressed and level of disconnection and resentments that grew. All of you have to work together to get along.
Mayo is a blogger. Try not to elevate him to some high standard.
I'm assuming he appreciates your company as well as you all appreciates this room.
I don't think that asking for limits on things that bother people is unreasonable. Why would it be unreasonable?
I want to make my own ketchup too!
If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all.
The only valid censorship of ideas is the right of people not to listen.
censorship offends me.
hello
:)
I haven't specifically befoer RW
but it's just boiling onion and tomatoes with bayleaf, cloves and peppercorns (in muslin) then mixing in sugar vinegar salt and tomato paste
then putting in sterilised bottles.
I've made other chutneys and relishes before, and I've made a tomato based BBQ sauce
but I got %kg of roma tomatoes for $3 so I decided to preserve them like that
there should be no imposing of rules for anyone
5kg of tomatoes
Hello yourself.
It is not censorship. It is being polite to others by not spamming up a public board with creations that are designed JUST to get attention. You can write those creations elsewhere. No one is stopping you.
