Mayo,
Thanks to you too for allowing me to paint your blog all the jappy colors of my insanity. Every now and then, I can step back, look at it, and actually see something that I've created. It's a nice feeling.
G'nite guys!
Ya'll come on over to the porch if you dare for cake, Jack White, some Solly filth, and a bodehsuit.

Can you explain this? I won't judge you either way but I am curious why someone who is an athiest would wear one.
Heya A, OMG with the Twilight. It just keeps getting worse and worse, and by that I mean quite awfully better. This is possibly the worst/best book I've ever read in my life.
RW, I snuck up on you. :) J. is doing good. She's on her couch, reading.
Hey, Carrie.
Hey, anon. I'm actually L, but that's ok. I will tell her "Hi!" though. I noticed that in lower case, the j and the l at the end of our screen name looks almost alike.
Anon, thanks for your concern. Truthfully, I feel much much better. All it took was a warm bath, some hot oil, 7up and crackers. I just have a slight headache and some gas, that's about it.
RW, that was the root of the illness, my stomach. Apparently, the cold air was making it ill. I rubbed some hot oil earlier, and surprisingly enough, it got better, but thank you for the suggestion :)
L, when sometimes I get the flu, I would drink 7up or Sprite. With crackers as well.
Amy, Jacob has imprinted on freak baby and Bella is a vampire, which I want to say with an Andrew accent from Buffy. Also, I heart Dickweed a bit, even though hesheit won't tell me who they are!! Dang mysteries.
BC, I fully understand about the stomach problems. Sprite, Gatorade, crackers and baby food have been my friends this past week. Doing much better now.
*thanks Amy for the tea, passes more Apple Newtons to RW*
L, my Hallowe'en night costume is Eternal Sailor Moon, but I'm thinking of going to work dressed as The Rumor. They've got a wig over at the drugstore that would work pretty well.
Either that, or I cheap out and go as La Viole Blanche. Just some white paint, tape and a pair of underwear.
RW, I think the baking soda and salt in the crackers are what helps. Ginger ale helps too. My Mum used to make branch mint tea for stomach problems when she was younger and they lived next to a small branch.
It is! I totally thought of you when I got to the crazy ass part (well, the more crazy ass part). I was like Oh my heck, I wish Amy was here on my couch so I could be big with screams.
Amy, I like your outfit choice. The Rumor would be good too! J. and I aren't going anywhere for actual Halloween, but we are going to a late night showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show right before Halloween, so that will be dress up night.
The last outfit choice you had...tell us if we need to gather bail money for indecent exposure!
RW, I do too, better than the Fig Newtons. I haven't tried the strawberry ones.
Carrie, I skimmed the last Twilight book, found the birth scene, put the book down...
OMG L, that was the worst best part! Or maybe there is one lurking for me out there, since I haven't finished it yet. All I can say is, I love the delicious badness.
Amy, I think there were some full length views of The Rumor's outfit in the 5th book. Oddly enough, my favorite character in that series was Vanya. Wouldn't even dare to try that outfit, though!
Carrie, I may check them out. I really got into the Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl books. Haven't read the last Fowl book yet, though.
Anon, kind of a mish-mash for the outfit. Not any character in particular, but I guess it would be closest corset outfits toward teh end of the film. Bustier, black shorts, fisnets, boots and whatnot.
hello l., it's very good to see you here! i'm glad you're doing better. :)
hi amyranth. let me see if i can find it, but give me a day or so. she went the leotard/tights/paint route, with the black body markings in paint. the violin was a real little white violin -- it might have been a toy.
i'll find it for you. it was a very clear full-length picture, too.
Anon, I was thinking slightly longer than Daisy Duke shorts, for SOME kind of coverage. :) That indecent exposure fine can't be cheap...
Carrie, you have to give it to rugby players, they play with no padding, no helmet, no nothing. They get hit, they get hurt, they bleed, they get back up again.
I love baseball. I played shortstop for several years on a team at school. I tried to switch to softball later and just couldn't adjust the timing.
Guys, I'm going to head out for the night, but I will probably be back on tomorrow. It was great to chat at Mayo's again. Hope everyone has a good night and sweet dreams.
i always get a little squeamish to see the painted hair, amyranth...a wig is better every time imo. but you're right, and she carries it off well, i think. :)
Beautiful words you posted for Ergo. And so true. One thing I have always had a hard time with is letting people in, trusting them. When I truly love someone, my heart is on my sleeve, for all the world to see. But by having it in the open, it's very vulnerable. For the longest, I wanted to keep my heart encased in my chest, surrounded by barbed wire.
Safe.
But at what cost?
I'm learning that it's better to live and feel, than to exist and be numb.
Hope you are doing good. It was really nice to see you are still here. It may be a little insane in here sometimes, but one thing is for sure.
Goodnight BC, Carrie, TJ, (did I say Hi to you earlier, TJ? If I didn't, HI! too!) Amy, Elena and Anon.
Anon, thank you. One day at a time is how I look at things now. And it helps immensely. I'm grateful for the things I can do, and realize that some are much worse and would trade places with me anytime.
I'll leave my goodnight to Mayo and head out. J. said to tell you guys that she would be back on tomorrow, and goodnight from her as well!
i have a couple of titles out, anon -- neuromancer and pattern recognition. don't know which one i'll start tomorrow, but i'm looking forward to trying him out. he was a recommendation from an anon last month.
i'd like to read idoru but the library here doesn't have it, so i'll wait to get back to seattle for that one.
I love Neuromancer! I also had someone recommend his books to me and became so immersed in them.
I would recommend you commence with Neuromancer. A sort of post-modern cyber-punk thriller. It's like a big chase! Count Zero is the "sequel", to this and I also recommend Virtual-light. Oh, and there's Johnny Mnemonic as well.
Okay, well, Magrat goes home and she'll find the king on her couch, asleep. That's the ending/ending. The ending that's alluded to in the ending of the book.
How'd you know I couldn't stay? I just dyed my hair back to my natural colour, and it's midnight, and I must get to bed for my lessons and work tomorrow! I really really think that I should stay a bit longer next time!
bc, i'm glad you're feeling better, but i'm still gonna be worrying about you. that's just how i am. until you can report you've done a dozen jumping jacks with no ill affects, i'll be making the marge noise. ~healing vibes~
oh, amyranth -- i remember now! yeah, that was a good part. although, there aren't really any bad parts in a pratchett novel.
Not quite sure how to start this tonight. I've erased four or five sentences so far. You know that coffee shop you were talking about in the one post? I see you sitting down with all of us, bringing your cup of coffee over, looking down into the light brown mixture while we talk, wanting to jump in, but afraid. We talk to you, you want to answer, but don't know how to say it.
We look at each other, not sure why you don't speak. We guess, but that's all they are, guesses.
I know now that you do want to be at that table. You want to share the laughter, the sorrow, the good and the bad, and you know that you can talk at that table for hours if you need to, and there will be ears to listen, shoulders to lean on and voices to offer comfort and advice.
Thank you also for sharing the painting you posted. The blue and white strokes did remind me of cold fire, like J. suggested. It would be interesting to know the idea behind the painting. Then again, it's nice to hear others viewpoints and observations.
I wasn't sure if I was seeing a rooster or a Phoenix to begin with, but the name cleared that up. :) It seemed like you had a clear, easy to see object, everything in place, but dark. A few moments later, a quick destruction of the object, but with light, over the the darkness.
Or maybe a rooster woke you up one time too many at 5:00 a.m.
Teej, there has yet to be a Pratchett I haven't liked, but I haven't gone any farther than Guards! Guards! I keep meaning to read others, but I end up back at The Color Of Magic every time.
So I totally goofed up my whole day by stopping at an Estate Sale. See I had the day all planned out and it did not include buying a whole butt load of books. How many books are in a butt load? Over 275, that’s how many. I made the mistake of buying just a few and then woman launched into the story of how she had hundreds of books she was willing to part with. Okay, yeah, I love books and it is my business after all but why is it when I don’t want books that’s when they become available? Seriously I almost walked away. But no, not me. I just couldn’t pass them up. They are all First Edition hard backs and some are signed. And the more I picked out the cheaper she kept making the price. Really, I was beginning to think she didn’t understand the whole concept that she was supposed to be making money. I actually ended up paying $17.00 for all of the books. I tried to pay her more but that’s all she wanted. I was very confused. So now I have to deal with all these books on top of everything else I have to do. And it was Sdock’s birthday and I wanted to play. (Yep, I’m whining). Well I still got to play for a while so that was okay.
Oh, and I took a picture of my pumpkins today to show you. Now you have to promise not to laugh at them. Really I mean it. They may look a bit ugly but just imagine the scary faces these guys will have when I carve them. Okay, I guess I should fess up to the fact that while I do look at the pumpkins and try to see a ‘face’ I also pick the sorta homely ones because I’m afraid no one else will choose them. I do the same with Christmas trees. You have no idea how many Christmas trees we’ve had over the years that were less than perfect. I couldn’t help it. I hated to think that a tree would have been cut and then no one wanted it. It always made me feel so sad to see the less than perfect trees tossed to the side. Well I feel the same way about the pumpkins. I just know the misshaped ones will do just fine. They can be turned into scary Jack O’Lanterns just like a perfect pumpkin. Just like the crooked trees with the bare spots can make beautiful Christmas trees. They just need some attention and special care.
Okay so I’m gonna try this clicky link thing but let me tell you lots of times the clicky link makes Elena it’s bitch. Hope this works.
Actually I've got my mom's house to decorate too. Her house is the second oldest in town and it really cool. It's very old, very big and haunted of course. At least that's what the kids in town think.
even if no one gets me, if i'm the only one laughing at my jokes, i won't hide myself away from life. it's uncertain and it's dirty and it's fucking exciting, and i want to be a part of all of it.
it's too good to waste in hiding.

heart full
Today on my way home from class, I stopped off at the petrol station for some petrol. I paid on my card which wasn’t a lot, and then as I was getting into my car, I saw an old man walking past the building. He had a red and green stripy jumper which was frayed at the ends. He was also wearing some jeans that were dirty and had holes all over.
I sat there and became intrigued by him because I didn’t know what he was doing, so as I sat there and watched him, he continued doing what he set out to do.
He walked past the trash cans and first picked out a cup with some drink still in it (one of the cups that you get from burger king that has coke in it). He then walked over to the next trash can and pulled out the end of a half eaten sandwich. In my shock horror, he ate it and then went to sit on the wall to drink the drink he had found.
I felt sad, I wanted to give him my last $4 that I had but I was told when I was younger that you should never give people money, you should give them something they need or can use because that way, if they had an addiction, they would not be able to use the money for their addiction. So I went into the shop and bought a chicken sandwich from their deli counter and then walked out of the building.
The guy was still sat at the wall drinking his drink so I walked up to him and asked him if he would like this sandwich. He thanked me and said that he was hungry.
I should of felt good after that, doing something for someone else but all I could think of is where his next meal will come from or where in fact he will sleep tonight.

(Tonight, although I am cold and my feet are sore, my belly is full.)
It helped.
Jennicula,
Thank you for sharing your story. Although it only appeared briefly, I was lucky enough to have caught it.
Once upon a time, for me, that was the best part of this place...having my words related back to me from another's perspective.
And it never mattered to me who said it, just that it meant something to the writer.

Don't let anyone tell you how to live your life. Hold your head up high and be proud of who you are. If you've had a shitty day and you feel like people just don't want you to be happy, and when you find yourself struggling to make it through the day, just keep on believing and keep the faith. Also, from personal experience, don't push people away. When they say they want to help and that they are there for you, let them in. Believe me, I know how fucking scary that thought is, but don't shut others out.

Retro-spectacled
Sometimes, when you look back on stuff in your life, you know, the crap that makes you shake your head and say, "Holy shit, what the Hell was I thinking?" it's part of what makes you - you.
I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. I have made small mistakes and really big, fucking scary mistakes. Would I change those mistakes and blunders?
No. Wanna know why?
Because they make me - me. They help make up the person that I am, what I've learned the hard way. Hopefully I've learned from my mistakes and have become a better person for it. And, hopefully I don't repeat those same mistakes. Although, sometimes I repeat variations of certain ones, but I'm working on that. :)

Blazing against the sun like locusts, samaras swarm the sky and skitter to an earthly end, dry like clever words. I want to make them fly up, flip heaven upside down and dance across the top of hell and sing your thoughts to the sound of thunder that you love so well, rip open the littered sky and bathe in the light or draw across the firmament the blanket of the night.
In only a day they have covered the ground, their brief flight yielding nothing permanent on infertile land, a fleeting moment of swarming glory that calls to mind our own short story: Diamonds and petals, the loom and the light, the inkdark moon, foxfire marsh, an open, waiting hand.
Clever winged seeds of childhood reminiscent-- and like the idiot grown-up heart, as stubbornly indehiscent.

Electric Blue
…today I saw a ulysses butterfly it was in our yard and settled to feed on our hibiscus. They really are fantastically beautiful things, the electric blue is amazing, however as they sit with their wings closed they are rather nondescript and dull. Sometimes people are like that, from the outside they seem unappealing but within there hides an amazing beauty for those lucky enough to see it. I hope you appreciate beauty in all things, and look for it perhaps where others miss it.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.
I read your post again and suddenly without warning memories of construction paper filled my head. I remembered all the lop-sided flowers my girls made when they were young. Bright blue, yellow and pink flowers that were cut out with blunt end scissors would fill the windows to decorate for Easter. An occasional bunny was attempted but those usually ended up looking like creatures from a horror movie. Flowers were so much easier. I can close my eyes and hear the paper being cut into petals. I can smell the Elmer’s glue squirted on in huge blobs to attach each misshapen petal to form the flowers. We had a huge arts and crafts box full of wonderful items just waiting for their imaginations to turn into something wonderful. In my mind I see my daughters, as they once were, small, blond little girls sitting on the floor surrounded by scraps of paper and other art supplies. They would create their masterpieces then proudly show each other. Oh and Lord the messes that would ensue if the glitter made an appearance. Now, the box is forgotten. I’m not really sure where it even is anymore. The few flowers so lovingly created that survived are faded and dusty and high on a shelf they sit. Time marches on, so many things get left behind.
Today was the first Easter I spent alone. I don’t think it really upset me until I remembered the construction paper flowers. Of course I understand that my daughters are growing up and have lives of their own. But understanding doesn’t make it any easier to accept. I miss my little girls in their frilly Easter dresses. I miss the laughter that filled the house when they found what the Easter Bunny left for them. And I miss making the damn flowers.

Happy Birthday Solly x
Smoke - incidents like that do really bring home how much we take for granted. You have both been blessed with time. Live it well.
J - I'm sorry to hear L is under the weather. Please send her my love and best wishes to you also.
Miss T - did you know that you can book out the Egyptian Room for sleep-overs? So got to do it!
Elena - the pumpkins I grew are still mostly green :( I shall just have to make it a new trend.

Personally, I don't think its shitty.

It is purely personal choice.

What's up? Was Friday Jappy Happy for you? I hope so. Everyone deserves jappy happiness on Friday. Most of the time mine is jappy insanity!

Mayo,
Mustard and I have been staring at your cock for so fucking long that our eyes look like this:
o_O
O_x
o_o
-_-
-_x
0_0
O_-
I feel like I'm looking at one of those 3-d images where something is eventually just supposed to appear, but it's really just a cock, right?
Go ahead and laugh, I know you wanna.
*runs in Mayo's*
Mayo!
I can get you something
Something good
Something good to eat!
Wowwowaohahahahowh!
*runs back out on the porch
Smoke is feeling left out, but she's been staring at it too, Mayo. Don't let her fool you, she blew the cock up to monster size on her big screen at work.
*spits lemonade all over keyboard*
I, uh, ummm, I....well, I don't know what to say.
Have a nice night, Mayo!
*drops head and leaves quietly*
X_X
Cockstarer!
Mayo started it.
Firestarter!
Just call him Drew Barrymore.
she blew the cock up to monster size on her big screen at work
so mayo has had heaps of other people see his cock too?
Now that's a new one. I can honestly say I've never been called a 'cockstarer'.
Oh, I said I was leaving didn't I?
Oops.
MAYO! DAMN YOU AND YOUR COMBUSTIBLE COCK! >_<
Anon,
I totally looked at that and read it as "cockstar" and I thought well that's a pretty fucking brilliant word.
it's hypnotic
@_@
Mayo's "cock" is now a Cockstar.
Smoke is singing Pink's new song over at DM and she's changing rock to cock.
It pretty much takes on a whole different meaning and rules the entire world.
*pokes her head in on the way out the door*
Happy birthday Sol!

Thanks, Amy!
Have a great night!
Hi Amy!
Hiya!
You're welcome Sol!
Ergo, I'll brb, need to get iced tea before the drugstore closes.
It's bloody fucking COLD out!

Hi guys
Hi Elena,
Thanks for the bday wishes! How are you tonight?
We're playing at DM if anyone wants to join us. It's jappy insanity such as my life usually is.
hi elena
how are you?
it's raining here Amy, and quite cool
Hey sdock. Sounds like your birthday is a good one. I'll pop in at the porch as soon as I can. I'm sorta working right now.
Hey Ergo
I'm fine but busy. I bought 278 HC First Editions today. Made myself a bunch more work.
Hey
holy moly elena!
you listing them for sale?
hi BC
Hi there ergo. Hi elena, that's a lot of books!
God has a really good sense of humour...
it was only lightly spitting rain so I went to take some scraps to the chickens, and just as I got far enough across the yard that going back wasn't an option it started pouring!
now I am all wet!!
Hi BC
Actually I have to decide what to do with each book. Some are signed so I have to check them. Then I have to decide if I'm going to list the book on e-bay or sell it at the store. Just lots of checking (oh and moving the damn heavy things from the car to the house)
BlogBelieve,
Thanks for all the birthday wishes, again. Seems I can't say thank you enough to ya'll!
Mayo,
Thanks to you too for allowing me to paint your blog all the jappy colors of my insanity.
Every now and then, I can step back, look at it, and actually see something that I've created. It's a nice feeling.
G'nite guys!
Ya'll come on over to the porch if you dare for cake, Jack White, some Solly filth, and a bodehsuit.
Poor ergo, I hope you don't catch a cold :(
That sucks about the carrying elena
Hello

Goodnight solly sweet dreams
Goodnight Sol. Happy 21st birthday!

Take care ergo
*sneaks up on BC and gives her a squeeze*
Hey, you're not supposed to do that! ^_~
*SQUEEZES RW!*
Hi RW!
Hi, BC! :D
How was your day?
This comes out of nowhere but something I just noticed. Kapunua if you are still around. You claim to have no religion and be an athiest. Yet in all pictures of you you seem to be wearing a crucafix. Can you explain this? I won't judge you either way but I am curious why someone who is an athiest would wear one.
Hi BC and RW.
RW the costumes you made for the opera were superb.
You are very talented :)
Hi there anon, how are you?
I stayed home yet again RW, still recooperating, although thankfully I am feeling nothing more than lazy tiredness.
In the sun we are found to be
Reflections of a sound
I know it's been far too long in stormy weather
My arrested hope won't choke forever
Like a memory I needed never
We walk wrapped in thought
Some are vacant some have grown too short
It's the only thing I've ever had that keeps me lonely
In the sun we are found to be
Reflections of a sound
When nobody is around
Come down from the waist of time
Feel so empty when I feel so fine
Starting over we could change this light shadow sober
I've been waiting for far too long
Let's stick together
Coz you're keeping me warm but it's a lonely setting sun
I wait so long now my head is full of pressure
I need time to cure my mind
It's like a loop that lasts forever
I've been waiting for far too long
Let's stick together
Coz you're keeping me warm but it's a lonely setting sun
In the sun we are found to be
Reflections of a sound
For nobody
Thank you very much, 10:51pm :)
How are you this evening?
You're still feeling ill, BC? :(
*meanders back into the living room from the kitchen*
'Allo?
*sits on the couch with her mug of peppermint tea*
*sip*
*siip*
Hm. Quiet.
-A
Hi, A :)
How was your day?
Heya A, OMG with the Twilight. It just keeps getting worse and worse, and by that I mean quite awfully better. This is possibly the worst/best book I've ever read in my life.
You are welcome RW :)
To be honest slightly blah, but that's enough of my whining!
BC, still not well. Have you seen a doctor?
Hey, Amy, BC, RW, Martha, Elena, Ergo, anons, anyone I missed. How is everyone?
RW, the costumes are great. The uniforms are really nice.
BC, how are you feeling?
Amy, can I have some cinnamon tea?
L.
Hi, Carrie :)
How are you?
Hi, L :D
Wow, every time I turn my back someone turns up! 0_0
How are you today? How's J?
Hey RW, I really enjoyed looking at your costumes earlier, so jeluz of your mad skillz.
Hi J.
Hallo RW!
Not bad. Omens at work are getting worse, so I'm cranking out more resumes.
Where are these picture of the costumes? Can I see?
*sip*
-A
Hallo Amy!
I've been ill for over a week RW, which is why today I'm glad to be feeling a case of laziness.
Thank you, Carrie! :D
Sucks about work, A :(
To see the costume pics, go here and click on the Photo Gallery link under the pic.
I made the black and silver frock coat in pic #2 and the military jackets in pic #7.
Hey there L, good to see you! Hey carrie.
Anon, thanks for your concern. Truthfully, I feel much much better. All it took was a warm bath, some hot oil, 7up and crackers. I just have a slight headache and some gas, that's about it.
Amy, disregard the tea request. It sounded so good that I did go fix a cup of cinnamon tea!
RW, I snuck up on you. :)
You did indeed! I bow before your stealthy skillz! ;)
Hallo Carrie and L!
*passes L a cup of Cinnamon Tea*
Carrie, isn't that book just... jaw-dropping? Where are you now?
-A
Glad you are feeling better, BC.
Hot oil and 7up?
If you have tummy troubles at all, BC, try some fennel tea.
I'm so sorry L!!! *hugs* (just got so used to seeing J. Waves to J )
I've had two glasses of wine and no food, so my eyes are lacking a bit of focus :D
I ate ribs tonight that made me seriously consider going vegetarian.
And I bow before your sewing skillz, RW! I can't even sew a button on so that it would stay for more then a day.
Amy, thanks for the tea. I can have two.
I have some Apple Newtons if anyone wants some!
Thankees, L! :D
Oooh, and peppermint helps with digestion too!
*hands L another cup of tea*
RW, those are nicely done! I hope my costume turns out. It won't turn out THAT nice, I'm just hoping it turns out period.
I might do a second costume to wear to work..
-A
Not a problem, anon. J. waves back to you.
I made the black and silver frock coat in pic #2
Sorry, make that pic #4.
What costume are you making, Amy? Is it for Halloween?
RW, that was the root of the illness, my stomach. Apparently, the cold air was making it ill. I rubbed some hot oil earlier, and surprisingly enough, it got better, but thank you for the suggestion :)
L, when sometimes I get the flu, I would drink 7up or Sprite. With crackers as well.
Amy, Jacob has imprinted on freak baby and Bella is a vampire, which I want to say with an Andrew accent from Buffy. Also, I heart Dickweed a bit, even though hesheit won't tell me who they are!! Dang mysteries.
I know I'm a little late (still have a half hour though!) but
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SDOCK!
Hope you had a great day!
L.
L, when sometimes I get the flu, I would drink 7up or Sprite. With crackers as well.
I've heard of that before, but haven't tried it myself. Must neutralize or absorb the stomach acids or something.
Fennel gives me the heebie jeebies because I once got waaaaay sick on Sambuca. The licorice taste? Just no.
BC, I fully understand about the stomach problems. Sprite, Gatorade, crackers and baby food have been my friends this past week. Doing much better now.
*thanks Amy for the tea, passes more Apple Newtons to RW*
Anyway, it's so good to read you here L :)
(I WOULDN'T! REALLY!)
-A
I don't like licorice flavour either, Carrie. But fennel tea is highly recommend to treat bloating and aid digestion.
Either that, or I cheap out and go as La Viole Blanche. Just some white paint, tape and a pair of underwear.
O_O
That would be an eye-opener, and no mistake!
Thanks for the newtons, L :) I love those!
oooh, the Rumor! Fun!
Ah, Carrie. The imprinting.
The crazy is strong in that book.
-A
RW, I think the baking soda and salt in the crackers are what helps.
They lived next to a small branch?
RW, it would also be a lot colder than I'd be prepared for. Also, nobody would know who I was.
Except for a cold, half-naked white chick who looks like a giant violin.
...
Gerard really didn't think of the cosplay aspects of his characters, did he?
-A
I think his mind must have been elsewhere, A.
And now, I must turn in. My cosy bed is calling me.
Have a lovely evening, everyone :)
Goodnight Rw, sleep well.
You could wear a slim fitting white leotard.
Much more comfortable ;)
Carrie said...
It is! I totally thought of you when I got to the crazy ass part (well, the more crazy ass part).
And this is why I love Mayo's. :D
-A
Goodnight RW.
11:34, and less messy. Ever try to paint yourself? Yikes.
-A
Thank you anon, it's good to be back. :)
Goodnight RW!
-A
OMG L, that was the worst best part! Or maybe there is one lurking for me out there, since I haven't finished it yet. All I can say is, I love the delicious badness.
Goodnight, RW. Yes, there was a small creek across the road, maybe 4 feet across. I played in the water many times when we visted my grandparents.
Sweet dreams.
*grins at L*
Even The Rumor might be a bit hard to do. The wig was easy, but I can't find a full shot of her outfit. I might have to grab my copy from upstairs.
-A
That's great news to hear L.
"Worst Best Part"
I like that description, Carrie. You could also say "Best Worst Part".
Sounds like a new catagory at the Oscars.
Who will you be dressing up as L?
Oh, for real L. Just check them out from the library. You save money, yet get the enjoyment.
Amy, I think there were some full length views of The Rumor's outfit in the 5th book. Oddly enough, my favorite character in that series was Vanya. Wouldn't even dare to try that outfit, though!
I'm here to play with you. Amyranth is completely to blame for this.
Goodnight Rw
*takes the blame, and runs!*
*at the 20!*
*the 10!*
*TOUCHDOWN!!*
-A
Thank you, BC. I'm glad you're doing better too.
Football? What the hell kind of Canadian are you?
Would you rather curling?
How about lacrosse?
Or competitive fishing?
Or were you waiting for HNIC "he Shoots, He SCORES!!!"?
-A
Hello again.
amyranth, i saw a picture of someone cosplaying white vanya recently, complete with a little white violin. it was a pretty good job.
hello everyone.
Anything not football.
Didn't so much read the Artemis Fowl books, are they any good? And hey Elena and DW!
Hey Elena, toujours :)
L, a bustier...very nice, but I don't know about the shorts matching it ^_~
And TJ!
Miss T calls American football gay rugby, that amuses me.
Hallo Elena and Teej!
Teej, really? I'd like to see what they did for it! Especially the violin. I can't imagine anyone buying a violin just to paint it white.
DW, not a big fan of sports? Football was the only thing that came to mind when you said the blame was on me.
-A
Hey, Elena, TJ and DW! How are you doing tonight?
Carrie, I love the Artemis series. They have such interesting characters, and lots of twists and turns.
hi there carrie, hello anon. happy friday. :)
Sports are fine as long as they aren't football.
Hi everybody.
Hi Carrie, Anon, L, TJ, D-Weed and John Boy.
Oh wait, no John Boy. Sorry.
hello l., it's very good to see you here! i'm glad you're doing better. :)
hi amyranth. let me see if i can find it, but give me a day or so. she went the leotard/tights/paint route, with the black body markings in paint. the violin was a real little white violin -- it might have been a toy.
i'll find it for you. it was a very clear full-length picture, too.
My fave sport is college basketball. March Madness got me a bigscreen tv two years ago.
Hey dickweed
hi elena, hello dw.
Plus the ball is too big.
Elena, maybe Jake can be John Boy tonight!
I played soccer when I was a kid. I was the best spectator they'd ever seen.
-A
Hi elena and TJ
*taps her foot on the floor along to the music in her headphones*
-A
Amy, were you the one on the side sipping a juice box?
TJ, J. wanted to know if you finished your book.
L, I was the one standing on the sidelines, with my arms folded watching my teammates do all the work.
-A
hey amyranth!
the pic was easier to find than i thought.
Guys, I'm going to head out for the night, but I will probably be back on tomorrow. It was great to chat at Mayo's again. Hope everyone has a good night and sweet dreams.
Love,
L.
Goodnight l sweet dreams
Night L, I'm glad you felt well enough to play with us tonight!
yep, i polished it off today, l. i have to wait until monday to get the next ones, but i have some william gibson to keep me occupied until then. :)
L, have a great sleep! Glad to hear you're feeling better!
Teej, it's not bad! She did a good job!
-A
good night l. sweet dreams. :)
*ponders*
Rumor woulds definitely be easier to do out of the both of them though. Less body paint. And hair that's easy to find as a wig.
*is pondering*
-A
i always get a little squeamish to see the painted hair, amyranth...a wig is better every time imo. but you're right, and she carries it off well, i think. :)
not the cosplay i'd end up in! lol
Goodnight L. Great to read you again. Remember, a day at a time :) Take care.
William Gibson. What are you reading toujours?
SS,
Beautiful words you posted for Ergo.
It's never dull.
Love,
L.
LOL Teej!
Yeah, I've thought of it, but this ESM costume is hard enough as it is. Maybe next year. After I get Spidergirl out of the way.
-A
Goodnight BC, Carrie, TJ, (did I say Hi to you earlier, TJ? If I didn't, HI! too!) Amy, Elena and Anon.
Anon, thank you. One day at a time is how I look at things now. And it helps immensely. I'm grateful for the things I can do, and realize that some are much worse and would trade places with me anytime.
I'll leave my goodnight to Mayo and head out. J. said to tell you guys that she would be back on tomorrow, and goodnight from her as well!
Its all about the love,
L.
i have a couple of titles out, anon -- neuromancer and pattern recognition. don't know which one i'll start tomorrow, but i'm looking forward to trying him out. he was a recommendation from an anon last month.
i'd like to read idoru but the library here doesn't have it, so i'll wait to get back to seattle for that one.
good night l. gald to have you well and back!
amyranth, i looked at the rest of the pics that came up when i was searching for the costume, and look at these. cute idea, huh? :)
Idoru? Teej, I heard about that book a LONG time ago. I also heard it's really, really good.
I'm still on my Pratchett Kick though.
-A
Goodnight dudes. As always, thanks for hanging. I appreciate it more than you guys will ever know.
Teej, those are definitely cute! I'm getting really excited for November now!
-A
*waves*
Goodnight Carrie!
Wow, we're dropping like flies over here.
-A
pratchett's not a bad kick to be on, amyranth. i go on a discworld spree every once in a while, myself. i particularly love his witches.
Goodnight L and J *waves*
In case I don't reappear, I might be dozing off. I'm a bit tired.
Teej, I just finished reading Wyrd Sisters again, and I love the way he ends it.
-A
Goodnight carrie
good night carrie, sweet dreams. :)
amyranth, i'm looking forward to the new series, too -- but right now i'm excited to get the hardcover. it's out this month. :D
BC, you're starting to really worry me. Have you gone to the doctor yet?
-A
bc, go ahead and doze off and we'll tuck you in. :)
amyranth, it's be quite a while since i read wyrd sisters. i have to confess i don't remember the ending.
*pouts*
I wann' hardcover too.
:(
-A
I love Neuromancer!
Well dangit Teej! I can't ruin it for everyone!
Okay, well, Magrat goes home and she'll find the king on her couch, asleep. That's the ending/ending. The ending that's alluded to in the ending of the book.
That's the part I like.
-A
Amy, thanks for the concern, but it's just regular tiredness, nothing to do with the illness.
And I am feeling much much better. Really. I know you were worried too TJ, but I forgot to mention that my illness is almost gone :)
*pokes BC*
Of course. Forget to mention the good news. :p
Goodnight then BC. Get some sleep. We'll drag you over the stairs later.
-A
BOO!
Not unless I don't want to be dragged ^_^
Hi and bye grasshopper
Bye?
*sob*
Do you not want to talk to me?
*cries*
Kidding.
How'd you know I couldn't stay? I just dyed my hair back to my natural colour, and it's midnight, and I must get to bed for my lessons and work tomorrow! I really really think that I should stay a bit longer next time!
Until then.
Now you see me...
Now you don't.
^_~
*hug*
*stops singing along to the Spice Girls*
PH? That you?
-A
thanks anon, i'll take your advice!
bc, i'm glad you're feeling better, but i'm still gonna be worrying about you. that's just how i am. until you can report you've done a dozen jumping jacks with no ill affects, i'll be making the marge noise. ~healing vibes~
oh, amyranth -- i remember now! yeah, that was a good part. although, there aren't really any bad parts in a pratchett novel.
my computer is so slow. :(
hi and bye paperheart! get some sleep!
Mayo,
Not quite sure how to start this tonight.
Sweet dreams, Mayo. Stay on the ride.
Love,
L.
Teej, there has yet to be a Pratchett I haven't liked, but I haven't gone any farther than Guards! Guards! I keep meaning to read others, but I end up back at The Color Of Magic every time.
-A
Mayo
Hope this works.
pumpkins
So anyway, hope your day was a good one filled with lots of happy moments that will become wonderful memories. Take care.
Night Mayo
Elena
Oh yeah, go me. I conquered the clicky link. I'm not its bitch tonight.
BAHAHA@
Nice swipe Elena!
How's it going? Hallowe'en decorating all done?
-A
Oh shit, that's a great way to start the page.
Sorry about that. I was just having such a hard time doing the clicky link. I even practiced on my own blog and got it wrong several times.
Elena needs to close her little Mayo window and get busy.
Night Night all
Hey Amy
Nice move on my part with the first comment.
Nope, still decorating. Well I'm thinking about it. I was too busy today.
*grins*
Yeah, I figure I'll get all my Hallowe'en decorating done at 5pm on October 31st.
-A
Actually I've got my mom's house to decorate too. Her house is the second oldest in town and it really cool. It's very old, very big and haunted of course. At least that's what the kids in town think.
Me too!
very cool pumpkins elena. can't wait to see what they look like as jack o' lanterns. :)
