I said this and that smoke wanted to go home, so I said let smoke go home and made a half smiley face joking and said I tried. that was me. She said thanks, laughed and said nice try but she was going home soon. But that was it.

BI, it was an Albino Corn Snake, only about 20 inches long. He's generally a nice snake, so I found it odd that he bit me.
I'm worried though, because now he's had a taste of blood, and when he did, he bit harder.

BI, a little bit. The swelling has gone down somewhat, but it wasn't super swollen anyway.
What happened was he started to test bite, and I didn't move my hand away fast enough. He nipped my finger tip, then the bridge between the fingertip and the first knuckle, below the nail. Then, when I started to bleed I got some pretty decent pressure from him, he was constricting my wrist while he bit me.
My ex had a California Kingsnake that wouldn't eat anything unless it bit him first. It would draw blood every time, and THEN go after the live mouse. It was a strange thing.
I'm trying to find some info on it now, but so far, nothing.

i feel a bit like i owe an apology to everyone. i must have turned a corner today, because i looked back and realized i've done nothing but whine about my fears for the last two months.
granted, it's difficult to be an adult when you're living in your parents' home, but still, i've been excessively weak.
i'm supposed to follow my fear, not let it throttle me.
so back to work! it isn't going to be an overnight accomplishment, this i know. i'm still going to have to endure the sharp days, but i'm going to try to teach myself how to grab that fear and pin it before it pins me.
it just requires an attitude adjustment. i need to stop wasting time crying in my mirror. what i can change, i will. what i can't, will change me, and then i'll figure things out all over again.
oh, i know i'm still going to worry. i think i come by that honestly, i think it might be hardwired in my dna. maybe it's a necessary expenditure of energy, even. *grin*
but i don't have to allow worry to stop me in my tracks.
since i came off the road, i've been off-balance. it's been wonderful at times, and yet it was also confusing and painful too. i haven't regained my balance yet, but now i know i need to.
i had my balance when i was out there. i trusted in my gods and the magic i was following.
that isn't lost from me. i just need to learn where i put it for safe-keeping.
i'm ready.

I was reading an article about people losing their homes and how the ones with children have a hard time dealing with it an have a higher risk of physical and mental health problems.
That is wrong.
Another couple couldnt cope with the fact that they were losing their home and went in the garage in the care with their 4 dogs and turned the car on a killed themselves.
All these stories are terrible.

I'll be honest, I haven't always been grateful for what I have, but then I think about the stories my mom used to tell me about how my older brothers struggled so much just to put food on the table at the time when I was just a little girl. We grew up without a father, so basically they helped my mom raised us. Luckily, they're not in that position where they have to struggle anymore, but I know that can change anytime, like what's happening with the economy right now.
Despite the fact that I don't like our president, I'm grateful to be here, alive and healthy. I hope things will change. No one should have to choose between paying for gas in order to go to work, or putting food on the table for their families.
As for being genuine, I don't think I'm like that all the time, but I know its important to just be who you are, by being real and not some fake ass person.

Ergo - Are you still here?
My internet signal keeps dying. It was out all night yesterday!!! Usually it comes and goes. I do miss our conversations, ergo! :) We've had some silly ones - and some enlightening ones....
Wendy - I'll try to email you when I can - internet issues, but - Guess what!!! This guy I met awhile ago contacted me. YAY!!! I liked him, but never kept in touch... :)) So I feel better about breaking it off with the guy I was seeing. And it was your first premise that was correct! How did you know? You described the possession issues exactly! My friends were getting scared 8( I hope you're still feeling better? *hugs* :)

Mayo - About those clown strippers... :) ... While it doesn't matter who you are (and I was content not knowing) I have wondered whether I interpreted a certain post of yours correctly... Perhaps I did not, or perhaps the post was meant to be ambiguous? Though I hadn't thought so at the time. In fact, I was very confident of my interpretation. Given that I may have misunderstood, I am now worried that I did misinterpret your post - and I find it DOES bother me. So, yes, I would rather know for certain.
However if this meant the blog would end, then I would not wish to know, as many would be upset if it ended and I would wish to spare them that feeling. I know this place is unlikely to remain forever, yet I can't help but feel that perhaps we haven't worn out our welcome, with you and with each other. *giant community hug* :)
Anyway, perhaps I'll see you around sometime.
