I am filthy and filled with an untenable relapse in reason. I reek of the ruinous stench of revolt. I am vile. There is a guard posted at my bedside who never allows me to rest. He keeps a silent watch with his fist in my gut. My screams he silences with his lips pressed full against my mouth. He eats my words before they have a chance to live. And, he knows that once I am free I will disappear.
I throw my shadow against the wall. I hope that the guard will find the illusion a distraction and he does. Now, with the guard so easily bemused, I quickly slip out from under the sheets. Feet hit the floor first, then knees and hands, then once I am steady I crawl my way out the door. I only have a little time before the guard notices my shadow’s foolery. He could beat me to a pulp. Fucking prick.
And of course, I always return to the same place. They will eventually find me and post a new sentry. Perhaps the next will be somewhat entertaining.
p.s. present tense and terse with (only) myself.

hello guys
*starts to eat the maggots cos they are tasty. mmmmmmmmmm*
Hello MJ!
How are you doing?
Hey FS!
FIMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did anyone of you see the German movie 'Anatomie'?
Gosh, it's so sick.
so who wants to share my maggots, i have plenty to go around. there are loads in my arm and the ones in my leg are moving up to my head. so who wants first dibs?
Hello Siobhan I'm well how are you.
Hello FS are you doing well?
Hello safe and Mib how are you guys?
Siobhan I have not seen that movie. What is it about?
Fim, I would but I'm a veggie.
yeh, great martha. just knackered, you know how it is. same shit different day. hunky dory jack anory!
how are you?
safe, cant you eat them? wow never knew that hehehe. how are you hun
and i see magicwords has settled in. a big hello to you hun, hope you and jack are well ;)
Well I'm doing well one of the asshole bosses at work is on sick leave. Other than that I am the same ass kisser I have always been.
Maggots I hear the are good for really bad wounds.
I'm doing fine, MJ! Thanks for asking.
Hi there, Fimble!
Er...maggots? Never tried them. I prefer my humans fresh.
But I think it won't hurt trying, will it?
*nibbles maggots off Fimble's arm and accidently eats arm too*
*grins apologetically*
I'm great Hun and you?
i would like to say, thank you to the people who said things the other night. i saw them and just thank you. i dont know what else to say except thank you :) ♥
Siobhan, are you saying that if you contribute in a monetary sense to a performing artist, you are entitled to go them personally and criticize them to their face. This implies some form of ownership, which I see as crossing the line.
I always assumed that the best form of criticism would then be to withdraw your support and money.
Again, don't take this as a personal attack, only opinions are being expressed.
MJ - maggots eat the bacteria that causes infections.
Siobhan-san, what anon are you talking to? Second of all, if the teenies are what's pissing Gerard off, then he should be aware that his antics are what's attracting them to him in the first place.
What a dumbass.
Third, I don't care if he listens or not, whatever I have to say, I'll say it. I'm not afraid of him. Sometimes, criticism is neccessary. Sometimes you need it in order to better yourself.
It's the same thing when you write a book. You need feedback, whether negative or positive.
Fimmy fim, you're alive! How are you? *hugs*
MJ, been busy, and alas, I am tired as a result of it. Thanks for asking.
i am great safe, just knackered. rah rah rah.
martha, arse kisser? well isnt that the profession here. wow you must be really into it to carry it on to real life ;)
i hear that maggots clean wounds and helps them heal. i saw it on 'gladiator' movie.
siobhan, you can eat me arm if you fancy it. just save some for others. it is a very special arm.
i am great cheers bc, how are you? excited for your bday?
'Anatomie' is about a bunch of people who study medicine and make experiments with living people.
There is a scene where a guy wakes up and then sees that he lies on a table and two people are antomizing him alive. It was awful.
Anon that is a good way to let the entertainer know you are upset.
But given the fact that we all pay his salary I think we do have the right to let him know in person how upset the new him has made us.
In a way it is no different than complain to a company when they fuck something up.
Anon 7:05
So you're the one Siobhan was speaking to. If there was someone that I needed to address an issue to, then I will do it, but I never said that I was going to yell or scream in their face in order to make a point.
I said in my previous comment that if that were to happen, it would be with respect and dignity.
siobhan - is that the one with jessica alba starring in it?
*anatomizing*
*says with a desperate voice*
Edit button, please!
No, Fimble!
It's a German movie.
Fortunately, they are still Jessica Alba free, haha!
FS we learned the maggot thing from the same place.
Thank you Safe for letting me know.
hahahaha.
your comment made me think about a film that starred jessica alba. it was about a bloke who woke up and i think they were trying to kill him. i havent seen it so i dont know much about it, i saw the preview of it tho.
I hear what you are saying Martha, but don't you think this is really a case of where actions speak louder than words?
How could one voice expressed, in that particular environment, be heard? Would it be taken seriously?
martha, it is such a great movie tho. i used to watch it in england like once in a while. i loved watching it then but since being here, it is on all the time. so i know alot of it by just off the top of me head
Fimmy, I'm doing pretty good, just a bit tired. As for me b-day, we may throw a party, but I don't know. Uusually I go out for my birthday.
Okay, I will have to love you and leave you. Hope everyone has a good night. Speak to you soon.
PS. Siobhan, I never got that message. I guess BN is being a little bitch tonight.
nighty night safe, take care ok.
bc - how old will you be?
How could one voice expressed, in that particular environment, be heard? Would it be taken seriously?
No, it wouldn't. We'd have a better chance of getting heard in this medium.
To show your distaste for the current state of Gerard, by way of My Chemical Romance, stop purchasing tickets for shows (most artist's primary source of income), stop purchasing merch., and stop purchasing records.
Fs I know what movie you are talking about but can't remember the name.
Siobhan I have not heard of that movie it in away sound interesting but I don't think I will watch it.
To show your distaste for the current state of Gerard, by way of My Chemical Romance, stop purchasing tickets for shows (most artist's primary source of income), stop purchasing merch., and stop purchasing records.
slash, but wouldnt that affect the rest of the guys as well. i mean, if you are doing it only because of gerard ways behaviour then the other guys will suffer because of it. do you get me?
Anon, I don't feel insulted.
You have to right to speak your mind here and you do it in a respectful manner!
But just like BC and MJ said, I think you have the right to approach Gerard and tell him what you think about his recent behaviour on stage and towards his female audience.
In an objective way, of course.
It's his job and not his private life we would be talking about.
Goodnight and sweet dreams Safe. Take care.
Fimble, I believe I'll be turning 24 this month ^_^
slash, but wouldnt that affect the rest of the guys as well. i mean, if you are doing it only because of gerard ways behaviour then the other guys will suffer because of it. do you get me?
Yep, it most definitely would. There'd be no way around it.
So, if you'd truly like to make an impact, to show Gerard just how much you hate the things he does and says, you'd have to remember that the other four guys will feel that impact, too.
That's why here, doing what we're doing now, is the best way we have of possibly getting through to Gerard without affecting any of their livelihoods.
Sometime one voice can make a lot of difference.
Can you imagine if a fan came up to him and said to his face.
i used to believe in you. You gave me hope that there were good people in this world. People that cared what happen to other people. But now i see that you are no different than all those people who bullied me and you in school. You are nothing but a lier.
or something like that. Something that showed how he has affected people.
Mib we can stop buying his stuff but the fan sheep will just make up for what we don't buy
get ya there slash. oh and go have a bath ;)
Goodnight safe.
FS yeah here in America they tend to overplay and over hype things a lot.
yeh martha. forest gump is constantly on. i know all the lines hehehehe
Gosh, I need that effing edit button so bad tonight!
Bye Safe! I will try and send it again.
MJ, they show it on TV here right now. I can't watch it.
When the movie was about to be shown in the cinemas here they showed a preview of that scene with this guy on TV.
I was fallen asleep and the TV was still on. When I woke up I could see the scene where the dude got anatomized.
I freaked out.
In that scene he raises his hand and they had already removed the flesh of his fingers. He only had his fingertips but the rest was bones.
I almost fainted.
Good that I was already lying in bed.
Mib we can stop buying his stuff but the fan sheep will just make up for what we don't buy
I'm not saying you aren't correct, because I don't know how their audience is demographically divided, but if they saw a decrease in ticket sales, a decrease in the demand for tickets, they wouldn't get booked.
If they don't get booked, they don't get a gig.
Take for instance, Kelly Clarkson. This last record she had bombed compared to her previous. There was no demand for the music, therefore no demand for tickets to these arena concerts she and the label had planned on.
They had to cancel the tour. That's a huge hit for their pockets.
So, yeah, it would make a difference, but the question is would it make a big enough one.
By the way, I am in no way saying stop purchasing tickets, records, or merch. I, myself, will continue to buy every record they put out. I will support their music, but I will not support their live act. I don't approve of it, and unless something changes, I will not ever approve of it.
I have yet to see forest gump.
oh martha, you are crazy hehehe. you have to see forest at least once in your life lol
I didn't say you were wrong Mib. It just that the fan sheep have a bigger voice and pockets.
So the only thing I think that could really get to him is a fan personally telling him how upset s/he is with his new act.
Me either. Not planning on watching it anytime soon though.
Then we have an interesting conundrum.
You may not appreciate the behavior, but ultimately the choice is up to all of you personally, whether you choose to continue supporting them or not.
If withdrawing support effects the group as a whole, then maybe the group can influence the individual.
Martha, again, that would depend on whether the person is receptive or not. Some may choose to block off regardless of what is being said. Like a defense mechanism.
So the only thing I think that could really get to him is a fan personally telling him how upset s/he is with his new act.
------------------------------------------------------
I think so too, as long as one's opinion is being spoken in a respectful and decent manner. If something bothers me, I am not just going to shut up and fold my hands. I am not that type of person. Never have, never will.
I really wish one of the other guys would address this issue. I know they must be in a really bad spot. Not liking what they see him doing but not wanting to betray him either.
FS I will see it at some point.
As far as attending the shows go, I am only going because some friends are, and if they weren't going, I would probably not have purchased tickets weeks ago.
But then again, I am not attending for Gerard. I am going to be there to support the rest of the band.
Martha, again, that would depend on whether the person is receptive or not. Some may choose to block off regardless of what is being said. Like a defense mechanism.
Right.
Again, one fan's voice will have a minor effect if any at all.
For shits and giggles, let's say the other four band members, one being a brother, confronted Gerard back during Pro. Rev. about the stage shenanigans.
It continued all the way through tour. Correct me if I'm wrong, it happened once or twice (from reviews we read) while on the Asian stint of the tour.
Had they, the closest people to Gerard, discussed with him their feelings and it did nothing, how could one mere fan's opinion have an effect?
Doing what we're doing now will have more effect. But, that's just my opinion.
Yes that is true anon. I am very disappointed in him but I haven't been able to completely drop them.
I haven't been listening to their music lately. But I am going to their concert in April. I guess that will be the deciding point. To I continue on as a fan or do i walk away.
Doing what we're doing now will have more effect. But, that's just my opinion.
------------------------------------------------------
I hope so. If someone is listening, then that's what important, right?
But anyways, I'm not feeling up to discussing this anymore. It will only give me a headache, and I'm too tired to get one.
i am going for a bit, on and off so i will catch you all in a wee bit.
xx
MJ, let's hope the shows will be decent.
So far, we haven't heard crap reviews involving Sharpies, or any of that other bullshit, so that's a bit of a progress right?
But if not, I can always turn my head away and pick my nose of something ^_^
Take care fimmy
I am not advocating that you drop your support, my intention was to make you think.
I also wanted you to be aware of how you intend your messages to come across. Expressing your disappointment face to face, in a public area is not helpful, for you, nor the artist.
Despite your dislike of his actions, it does not give anyone license to approach them personally, unless, that is, you have a direct personal connection.
Maybe he is tried of hearing it from the same people. It is easy to dismiss your friends and family when they give advice. But sometimes when someone you don't have a connection to tell you the same thing it has more power.
For me it has on some occasions
Damn!
Should I watch QaF or Buffy?
Naked men vs. ass kicking woman?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
See you later FS.
Anon I understand what you are saying. So many things could go wrong in telling him face to face. But sometimes you must take that risk.
And that's the problem, anon. As long as someone is not challenging or questioning him, he will continue to get away with his behavior.
Siobhan, wow, that is a hard choice.
How about.....
MJ, don't take my opinions as ganging up on you, because that is definitely not my intent. You just happen to be offering more opinions that I can offer my own to.
But sometimes when someone you don't have a connection to tell you the same thing it has more power.
But, the only connection we have to Gerard or the band as fans, is in essence, monetary. Sure, there are the occasions where one, two, or all members will offer an autograph, a thank you, or a picture (more than necessary by my standards) where there is often a short-lived connection.
But, our greatest connection to them is the support we give in dollars. As long as they continue to receive that support, it will show nothing has changed.
But, the downside is not only do you affect Gerard, the main goal, you affect the other members, the crew, the techs, the promotors, the management, the label, the whole freakin' thing.
That's why I'm playing devil's advocate.
Siobhan go for the Naked men Buffy is available on DVD now
The idea that you have any sort of ownership over any other person, whether you contribute to their success or not is ludicrous.
You have no right to devalue you them because you don't agree with how they live their personal lives or how they've decided to perform onstage.
If I gave you $5 to perform a song for me, would I then be able to harass you for your personal choices?
Despite your dislike of his actions, it does not give anyone license to approach them personally, unless, that is, you have a direct personal connection.
Why not, anon?
Since 'Revenge' Gerard was advertising feminism and tolerance towards homosexuals what 'provided' him with an ever increasing number of female fans.
I bought his records and believed in his message.
And now you're telling me that I don't have the right to approach him and say that I feel betrayed and offended?
That's why I hate the way things are. It's almost always about money and politics being involved.
Anon, that is your opinion, but I am not the only one who is disappointed in his behavior.
Gosh, I just brushed my teeth, but I want to eat that puffed rice waffle covered with chocolate.
This night is the night of very, very hard decisions.
Anon @ 7:57-
I can't speak for the others involved in this discussion, but this is not about Gerard's personal decisions. They are none of my business.
But, when this does, in fact, have to do with things that have occured onstage, their platform, their job site that I do not approve of.
That's why I'm not supporting that stream of income.
I just wanted to clarify that.
Mib all I can say is i don't think in this case a boycott would work. We are far out numbered by the fans who think this new act is great. If we maybe had half of the fans all around the world than maybe it would make a difference.
i KEEP THINKING ABOUT Michael Jackson. Most of the people in America turned there backs on him. But he still has all those other fans from around the world that showed unwavering support of him.
I guess I'm just hoping that GW was the person that he made himself out to be in the beginning. That the stories of him being moved by fans coming to him and cry about how he had affected them in a positive way are true. Because it that affected him than a fan coming to him upset should as well.
But who is talking about personal choices, anon?
Poor Siobhan-san.
Anon if you gave me money to preform a song and it wasn't to you liking yes you could tell me how it upset you. And I think you are confusing his stage acts with his personal life. We never said anything about his personal live. we talked about what he was doing on stage.
Further more people tell other people all the time when they are upset with service. It has nothing to do with ownership. It has to do with his job. If I am playinging him to be entertain me and I have heard good things about it and he doesn't delivery than yeah I can say shit about it.
Greedy Siobhan just can't stop eating.
7:57 says it all so eloquently, in a nutshell.
Yes, siohban, I believe you have no right to personally confront someone.
The way you speak, is through your support. You have no personal ownership of the music or the behavior.
I just like their music. That's what I fell in love with...not this "message".
And I know how fucked in the head I am, so I would have a hard time confronting Gerard or anyone else on their "questionable" behavior.
When the music stops moving me, that's when I will stop listening. That's when I will stop supporting this band.
Damn, this is going to sound terrible, but it's true.
This is a business. This is not a recreational activity. This isn't an art anymore. It's a business run by money greedy men and women who, more often than not, know jackshit about good music and good artists.
It used to revolve around the art, now it revolves around the money. It doesn't revolve around emotions. It's all about money.
Saying things to Gerard or any other artist you find not upholding prior expectations will cause only minor ripples in the pond.
I just don't understand what it has to do with ownership?
If I want to have dinner in a five star restaurant I am expecting to be served really good food.
If the food is not eatable according to you I don't have the right to tell the chef?
I don't get what was promised to me, therefore I have the right to complain!
Hello, everyone.
I have posted here a couple of times before and I would like to say a few things with regards to the discussion you're having about the decision to support/not support the band because of Gerard's behavior.
I've been a fan of the band since before they recorded their first record. I was one of the earliest members of the MCR fandom on lj and I've seen lots of fans come and go. I've also watched Gerard go through several incarnations and I became aware a long time ago that he has a tendency to change his stories from time to time (and I've posted in several places that he seems to make things up as he goes along). In the past I've looked the other way and continued to be a fan, but as of late I find I can no longer do that and remain true to my beliefs. I don't buy the merch anymore. I don't go to the shows and I won't be buying any more records. I am not alone in this decision.
Over the past few months, I've watched friend after friend disappear from the fandom. I communicate with many of these people over AIM and MSN, and I hear over and over again how Gerard has changed from someone they could believe in and respect to a pompous, arrogant asshole who cares about nothing but himself. From the things I've seen and heard, I've come to the conclusion that Gerard has always been the same guy; he just pretended to be someone he wasn't in order to promote the band. Now that they've attained a certain level of success, he no longer needs to be that guy.
You see, the thing is, 13 year olds have the attention spans of gypsy moths. They'll soon be latching on to the next band to come along with a "hot" singer. It is we, the fans who were in this "for the right reasons" who would have stuck around if the band had remained true to their original message.
Shame, really. I feel badly for the other band members, but I also believe they are the only people who have any real influence over Gerard. If they are hurt by long-time fans deserting them, perhaps they will do something about it. I truly believe they're the only people who have the ability to do so.
Thanks for listening and sorry this was so long.
Anons it is not about ownership. Telling someone you dislike something about them is not a form of ownership.
When you have a job you are expected to do certain things and if you don't do them you boss comes over and informs you of it. That is not ownership.
When you go into a store and you get shitty service you complain that is not ownership either.
So if I got into this group because they present them in a certain way and not they are not that why I complain. That is not ownership.
Elite LJ Anon:
First of all, my apologies that you are no longer a fan. It must have been a hard decision to make, one that I hope will never be mine to make.
Secondly, I agree wholeheartedly.
When you have a job you are expected to do certain things and if you don't do them you boss comes over and informs you of it. That is not ownership.
This is where the label, as "employer," has the authority to do just that.
And possibly the artist's manager.
Again, you have choices, but it is NOT done through personal confrontation. Especially at a concert venue!
Can you not see how the line can be so easily crossed? These sorts of ideas create obsessional behavior in some fans.
So it's alright to run up to him and scream I love you and you are my hero at a concert but to tell him that he has disappointed you isn't.
Anyway I think that after the concert or the venue is the best place . It's much better than following him home or into the bathroom.
Anon,
We are in complete agreement here.
Oh dear god.
Hello elite lj anon
Thanks for your interesting post, elite lj anon!
I think you are right. Gerard is a pretender and an opportunist.
He fooled us well.
I remember reading another long time fan's post, who said that in the beginning Gerard's 'message' was that it was all about the party.
Later, he started talking about sexism, homophobia etc.
Then, it came the time to sing a different tune.
What will be next?
Martha, I get the impression that those sorts of emotional outbursts are not appreciated either!
Do you really believe fans have that sort of emotional power over the music creators? Where do you think the fans real power lies?
From the things I've seen and heard, I've come to the conclusion that Gerard has always been the same guy; he just pretended to be someone he wasn't in order to promote the band. Now that they've attained a certain level of success, he no longer needs to be that guy.
I can see why you would think that.
But I don't believe that.
Anon, no one said anything about emotional outburts.
Well, let's just agree to disagree, anon!
You have your opinion, I have mine.
Hello, BC. :)
How've you been?
Hey ctv *glomp*
Hey, CTV!
Nice to see you back!
What does 'glomp' mean?
Yes I do think fans have the power to influence an artist. If that person is still down to earth enough to hear what is being said.
Hello again, Siobhan!
It's when you attack someone with a hug.
I totally disagree.
bean, bean, the musical fruit, the more you eat, the more you toot
Let me elaborate.
I totally disagree in the type of influence you are describing.
Hello CTV, FS and sd10
Yes I do think fans have the power to influence an artist. If that person is still down to earth enough to hear what is being said.
Exactly, MJ!
Holy crap.
Frank's wedding made it on perezhilton.com
Can you say epic?
Can I say something? Yes? Good! I'm going to anyway. ^_~
Uhh, I would never go up to someone at a concert venue and tell them how disappointed I am in them or how bad they suck. Wanna know why?
I would not spend my hard earned money on something that offends me or makes me feel bad. NEVER.
It would make me look like a dumbass for even being there.
"Hey great concert and all but you suck at life."
Yeah, I can't do that. Now, if I just happened to bump into oh say, Gerard, at the not so local Starbucks and he was in the mood to chat then yeah, maybe. I might express my concerns or ask him some questions.
Ahhhh, but that's just me. ^_^
See, I never was really into the whole 'message' either. I also agree that Gerard changes his mind about as often as he smacks his gum. All the damn time.
Do I agree with everything he does and says? Definitely not.
Is he the only one? Hell no.
Do I think I have a right to tell someone how to perform or what to say? No. I don't. If he asked for my opinion now that's a different story. I'd give it to him. Straight up. No ass-kissing.
I think I have the right to choose to listen or not listen to him.
Jeez, am I making any sense whatsoever? O_o
I glomp you all then!
*glomp*
Frank's wedding made it on perezhilton.com
I didn't like it when Gerard's made it to him, I don't like it that Frank's did.
Hey ctv, I'm doing alright, just tired.
What influence do you think they have. Like I said if the stories about GW being moved, by fans coming to him cry about how he has changed their life's for the better are true. Why can't the same be said for some one who is now disappointed in him. He is human after all and we are affected by our emotions and the emotions of others.
They both look so...er...well fed in that pic, CTV.
Is she pregnant?
Don't want to start any rumors though!
Hello S&V20.
Let me put it this way you have been planning on going to the show and when you get there it sucks. You didn't expect it to suck or to offend you but it ended up doing so in the end.
Canuck, I know you're lurking! Come out!
Hello MJ, S&V.
Well, ya know, I don't know, MJ. I don't know what I'd do.
I guess being since I've never actually met anyone famous I don't know what I'd say, to be honest.
GEEEEERRRAAARRDD! I HEART YOU FOREVER!
Joking!
I guess it would all just depend on the circumstances, ya know?
Oh, and hi everyone by the way!!!
You know if I got the chance to speak to GW alone I would tell him.
Smokie, you made a lot of sense. Don't worry ^_^
Pancake-zilla, I shall glomp you as well *glomp*
*burps and thinks pancake-zilla is delicious*
Just to clarify, I have never said anything about telling someone what they or can not do. I don't like it when people do it to me.
Alrighty peeps! I'm off! (Shut up, Mayo.)
Sweet dreams errbody!!
That is the other thing none of us are telling him what to do we are telling him how what he does makes us feel.
Hello all
I've been reading along and all of you have made some excellent points.
I have to say for me personally though I agree with S&V. I would never tell Gerard I was disappointed in his actions at a concert venue in front of others. To me that just wouldn't feel right.
If, however, I had the chance to speak to him privately I would not hesitate to tell him things that I wanted him to hear. I just believe in that situation he might possibly be more open to actually listening.
No one wants to hear bad things about themselves in front of others. I'm afraid it would just put him on the defensive and that would serve no purpose at all.
Hi and bye, smoke!
Ladies, I'm off to bed!
It was, again, a pleasure talking to you all!
Good night!
*glomp*
Take care, S&V and Siobhan.
Hello, Elena.
hello everyone
ELENA!!
I GOT YOUR PARCEL!!!!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent you a voice message to your email, did you get it?
That pregnant comment was kinda messed up. In my opinion.
Goodnight Siobhan and S&V20. Hello elena how are you?
The problem about telling him at all is none of us will every met him privately. I would much rather tell him privately. I think I would only mean him one on one when he is just walking down the street. When he is being a normal person. So to me telling him at the concert or at the venue is better because it is his work place.
Sorry, just read your post Elena!
Hello btw.
I don't think that I would go to a MCR concert and then ask Gerard to pass me the mic so that I could tell him and the rest of the world what I think about him. I would not approach him while others (fans, band, techs etc.) would be around.
Firstly I think he would be too distracted to listen and secondly it wouldn't be the right place to do so.
Hello entropy how are you? And what are you talking about?
Hello ep how are you?
Goodnight and sweet dreams my love pancake-zila *glomp*
Goodnight smokie, sweet dreams. Hi Elena. MJ, that anon was making preconceived notions that we were telling him what to do or what not to do.
That previous comment of mine was addressing that, because we weren't talking about it. Anon wasn't listening I guess.
Addressing your concerns about gerard in private would be great, but don't expect me to tell him that I want his babies ala a meet and greet :p
That will not happen.
Right, because being being well fed is a bad thing.
They're both beautiful people, and Jamia was stunning.

Or you can send a complaint to the label.
Hey CTV
Glad it arrived Ergo...
What voice message???
That pregnant comment was kinda messed up. In my opinion.
Why that?
Re: MCR. I agree with, as usual, Splash and CTV. I also want to add this:

Mustard, I loved your comment.
Safe, you're probably right. I don't think "screaming fangirls" is what they used to dream of when they imagined their fan base.
Perhaps, perhaps not, But that's exaclty who Gerard is playing to these days with his "OMG sex it up for me!!!" antics. It's like he wants the squealing fangirlies, and he's getting a rush over the power he has over them. And the fact that he's still calling this "feminism?" Shame. Total shame.
What's happening on VV's blog is the proof.
Exactly. The guy could lock himself in a belltower with a rifle and fansheep would go, "He's just being Gerard! He has to get it out of his system. LOL he never said he wouldn't do something like that, he's only human, let him be!"
I also agree with anon@ 6PM.

"i want to hear what everbody sees and i want to see some more interviews from G Way and then have a think on it all. i really am not ready to give up. i just don't want to. so that's what i'm waiting for!!"
FASC, I am going to my first show and I want so badly for these smaller shows to bring out the best in them. I'm waiting to see what I witness with my own eyes and ears.
I think this is important: It doesn't matter, at least to me, how Gerard behaves from now on if he never addresses what he has already done.
As far as the rest of the band goes, I think they are in a tight spot. Somehow I feel that one of two things are going on: either they are in too tight a spot to confront their best friend and give ultimatums (this is, after all, a business and there are things like contracts involved and such--could it be they really can't make waves?) or they have confronted him about it and he was like, "Yeah, I'm just doing me thing, love it or leave it."
In the interview that Foxen quoted over on Verita's, it almost seems as if he's saying the band has confronted him--although I may be reading into things as I tend to often do--and he's just stubborn and defensive. Gerard seems the type to go, "Yeah, yeah, I hear you" and just "yes" you to death to get you to leave him the hell alone. He might tone it down then, but he will never admit to mistakes, and it will do nothing to change the core problem.
If there is a problem. The other option is that everything Gerard said he stood for in the beginning was a marketing ploy. If so, I was a ridiculous consumer. Happens to the best of us.

Siobhan, are you saying that if you contribute in a monetary sense to a performing artist, you are entitled to go them personally and criticize them to their face. This implies some form of ownership, which I see as crossing the line.
I always assumed that the best form of criticism would then be to withdraw your support and money.
Wheter or not you pay someone, you have the right to criticize them. Why, no one her pays me and look at how I get criticized all the time. Everyone has the right to express their opinion.
I also agree that the best form of criticism is to boycott, which I am doing and will continue to do. HOWEVER, with a band as big as MCR, this won't make a bit of difference.
I would love to have the chance to tell Gerard how hurtful his words and his antics have been. Not only hurtful and mean--Rich Rock Star probably doesn't care--but how ridiculous he's made himself look too.
Fimble Star said...
slash, but wouldnt that affect the rest of the guys as well. i mean, if you are doing it only because of gerard ways behaviour then the other guys will suffer because of it. do you get me?
FIMMMM! So good to read you again.
What's more, I agree with this too. Unfortunately the only answer to this is, "Well, that sucks." I would love to support the other guys. I'd love to keep buying their music and stuff. But because of Gerard, I can't. Actually I can't even freaking listen to them anymore, because when I hear his voice all I can think of is the mean things he has said and done. It makes me ill.
Martha Jones is also right: The fansheep will make up for what we don't buy. Hell, even the people who are disappointed are still buying. One or two fans walking away? Not going to have an impact at all.
Despite your dislike of his actions, it does not give anyone license to approach them personally, unless, that is, you have a direct personal connection.
I disagree. Anyone can express any opinion at any time. You might not think it polite or decorous, but everyone is perfectly within their rights to do so.
anonymous said...
It's about neither ownership nor harrassment. It's about the right to give your opinion, and yes, especially if you have paid for a product and the product falls short. I don't go to concerts to be asked to fake an orgasm for some lame rock star. I'd have the right--in every sense of the word--to say so.
It also has nothing to do with their personal lives. Again, it is about the product.

7:57 says it all so eloquently, in a nutshell.
Yes, siohban, I believe you have no right to personally confront someone.
Gosh, that's funny. Next time my boss tells me he's unhappy with something, I'm going to tell him, "Just because ou sign my pacychek does not give you the right to criticize my performance on the job." Not like my boss would ever say that, but whatever.
Elite LJ anon:
Hey, what up homes.
I don't buy the merch anymore. I don't go to the shows and I won't be buying any more records. I am not alone in this decision.
QFMFT. I no longer consider mysel a fan either. Huge shame. I loved this band. It really sucks also because I would totally have gone to see TBS play at Madison Square Garden, hell dude, I'd go see them any freaking where. But buying a ticket to that show would be giving money to Gerard, so I will be skipping that show, too. And that bums me out hardcore.
From the things I've seen and heard, I've come to the conclusion that Gerard has always been the same guy; he just pretended to be someone he wasn't in order to promote the band. Now that they've attained a certain level of success, he no longer needs to be that guy.
That's exactly what I'm afraid is true.
MJ sez:
Anons it is not about ownership. Telling someone you dislike something about them is not a form of ownership.
Quoted and bolded for truth.
Princess says:
Uhh, I would never go up to someone at a concert venue and tell them how disappointed I am in them or how bad they suck. Wanna know why?
I would not spend my hard earned money on something that offends me or makes me feel bad. NEVER.
Absolutely. Precisely. If it bugs you that much you would not go to the concert to begin with. Which is pretty much why I would not go, myself.
Holy jesus, that was effing long.
And what Siobhan said at the venue privately. But than the way I feel about the whole thing now I would probably just walk away from him with out saying anything.
Hello Ergo, Entropy.
I hope you guys are doing well.
I'd just like to ask him one question..
"so do you prefer mayonnaise or miracle whip?" and look at his face!
I do agree saying things where others would overhear is the easiest way to bring every defense mechanism into being. But if somoen ever had an opportunity to speak in a less public area, couched in concern rather than attack he may be more receptive.
Or write a note, perhaps it would be read and a prepared missive would be better written and less prone to becoming emotionally sidetracked
Hi ergo, entropy. Forget that I asked about all of this. I didn't think it'd be such a big deal :/
Hey Martha, Siobhan and BC
Alas tis true I'm sure I'll never meet him and get to speak to him alone. That is however, the only way I would feel comfortable telling him the things I want him to hear.
siobhan, saying jamia looked well fed in her wedding pic was so fucked up. what you said was just fucking rude.
*waves to everybody*
ok I may have stuffed your email address, if it's not there, i'll send it again in an hour or so ( I have no service here) it was a thank you from my phone
hehe someone else may have it! lol
I didn't have my glasses on when I typed it in.
Seriously? It was offensive, dude.
She's freaking gorgeous. And not "well fed."
Good to see you, Kapunua.
Hello to you, FS! We missed you.
Hello Kapu how are you?
Ep a note would not get to him unless you handed it to him and watched him read it. Believe me when I say most of the stuff they receive at concerts gets left behind.
Anyway I want to say it to him because I want to know what he has to say about it. I want to see the look on his face. Because I want to know if he cares still.
*blushes from ctv comment*
cheers hun, i have been cezy bizzy
hi ctv bc siobhan kapunua mustard mj sdock smoke
*waves to fimble*
I think you should lighten up a bit, Entropy.
Not as if we were talking about your best friend.
I just saw pictures in which both (especially Frank) looked much thinner than on this wedding picture.
That was all!
What was so wrong to ask if she is pregnant? Jesus...
*winks at ergo*
*misses rw*
MJ I know it would probably be left behind, but if it was at a meet and greet and you asked him to look at it/ sign it, if it was short and concise (and he's anything like me ) he'd read it just because it's there, I read everything, even stuff upside down it's a real habit I have and I think as an author/reader he would probably do it too.
Hey Fimble, Kapunua and Entropy
Ergo I wonder who got my message???
I don't think so.
I expressed how I felt offended, just like you felt like you needed to offend her. She doesn't need to be my best friend for me say that.
K, thank you for your words, especially the freedom of opinion part. I mentioned in vv's blog that I was planning on writing a letter, not use my mouth to confront someone in front of everyone. I would never do such a thing.
Thanks.
Go and buy yourself a pacifier, anon!
Boo hoo
Hello everyone! Sorry for not saying hey earlier. Everyone doing good?
if it was short and concise (and he's anything like me ) he'd read it just because it's there,
But, how can you possibly explain this all in just a few sentences?
There's so much, and I fear that if you leave out even the tiniest detail, he wouldn't understand the seriousness of the issue.
This is ridiculous. I suddenly feel like being at buzznet again.
well-fed = dt. wohlgenährt
I looked it up again. This is not an offensive word.
Why all the fuss?
Well, whatever!
It's bed time.
Bye folks.
well fed = FAT
how do you not understand that.
*waves to fimble and ergo*
Goodnight Siobhan
*waves to bc*
kids from bn say she shit like that. not here
A whore in my bed?
Goodnight siobhan. I'm alright entropy, just tired.
*Waves just 'cause others are waving*
Aw, BC, gotta sleep more!
*waves to pimp*
ok, where did everyone go? did you all run from my maggot infested body?
All right we need to have a laugh...
A lady walks into her doctors office screaming.
She yells, "Doctor, Doctor my breasts are hairy! What do I do?"
The doctor asks, "Well, how long does the hair grow?"
The lady replies, "From here to my penis, but that's a different story!"
ohhhhh jokes, i dont have any. bloody hell. can i cheat and find them on the internet?
I think a short maessage saying you were disappointed in some of his satge antics and wondered if he was stillt he same guy who originally had the message (or some such thing) may get him thinking.
I doubt he'd be interested in a long speech, and it's too esay to switch off if you don't want to hear it.
I think a simple well worded couple of sentences could pique his interest/conscience.
i thawt u waz werkin tha strizoll fo ol skizoool mizaaack ho.
That's where I get mine.
MJ
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
elena my usual error is leaving out the "a" in your email but I checked and the address without the "a" is available, so the message must just be floating about the ether, never to find a home....
Ep that's why you send in the cute crying little girl.
Another thing is, does anyone else notice how angry Gerard always seems lately? Not only arrogant in interviews (I'm so tired of hearing about how he thinks MCR s the best band in the world and how no one can criticize him and he won't listen anyway,) but he also seems just downright angry both in interviews and in concerts. And an interviewer confronted him about his hissy fit at the music awards too and he said that he was in a bad mood because he didn't want to be there; he would rather have been home with his wife.
Then he should take his crappy, bitchy attitude and go home to his wife instead of doing concerts where he is so obviously unhappy these days.
ole skool mizzack, where have you been? my pimp has been waiting for you
*waves to entropy just cause she's doing it ha ha *
I'll make sure to get plenty of sleep later, but I'm not much of a heavy sleeper.
How are you ?
Or write a note, perhaps it would be read and a prepared missive would be better written and less prone to becoming emotionally sidetracked
Yeah, you know, that's totally not a bad idea. A letter, where you can itemize your thoughts and have time to think, is a good idea. It's just that, there's no way Gerard would ever read it. I just have the feeling that even if any of this ever reached him, he'd pretty much light a cigarette with a hundred dollar bill and talk about how happy he is these days.
Also agreed tha Jamia is gorgeous.
Is anyone on AIM? Thinking I might pop on for a bit before bed. Maybe?
*waves to entropy too*
ol skizool mizaaack haz been skoolin new hizzo to tha gizzzame.
i am a meffer. putting up wit slash's dirty antics
ole skool mizzack - where have you been doing this then? and who are they. there is only one shed of ho's round here that are the DB's. call out my pimp and have a pimp show down
Also agreed tha Jamia is gorgeous.
This is so superficial, and I'd never do this ever, but if and when that lovely couple decide to have children, the word "pore" will not be in the Iero dictionary.
And damn them! ;)
In all seriousness, Jamia looked so refreshing and so bright and glowy.
And then there was that handsome dude standing next to her ;)
So, what were we saying about Gerard again?
Ergo I can just see that message floating around space all alone. LOL
Kapunua I have to agree..he does seem angry lately and very tired. I still wonder why they added all these concert dates to a band who has been going and going for so long.
u don't want ol skizoool mizaaack to call out yo pimp.
i'll have to pimp slap her all ova this blizzzog ho.
Mayo,
What are you doing tonight? Anything exciting? Dude, I have just been hanging out and about. I even took a nap when I got home. I haven't done that in like...well, it's been a long time because my dude doesn't lke for me to do that, but he's not home so oh well, oh well, oh well. I can do what I want. Yeah, I know. I won't bitch when I can't sleep tonight because I went to sleep at 6 in the evening. It was a nice nap though.
Oh and speaking of sleeping, I know that yesterday people were sharing their crazy dreams. Well I am so proud because I did dream last night and I remembered it. Wanna hear about it? Okay, get ready. It's so cool. Crazy stuff! I dreamt that I was at the gas pump and I could totally see the dollar signs just rolling over..tick, tick, tick. So I pump my gas and I stop it on just the dollar amount that I know I have and I am getting ready to pay. For some reason the lady is standing there waiting to take my money. Must've been an old timey gas station. So she has a pen and paper and she is writing down and figuring some shit. I was like what are you doing and she was like oh you have to pay tax. And I am like uh no...tax is figured in the price. It's pre-taxed. Everyone knows that and she's like not here. Not at this station. And I'm like fuck....how am I supposed to pay for this shit now. I totally couldn't use a credit/debit card for some reason. I guess cause it was an old timey place. So I start digging out money and counting and figuring and finding all these one dollar bills. And whaddaya know? I had enough money to pay.
And then I woke up!
What the hell was that all about?
Are you laughing at me? No? Ready to kick my ass for sharing such a pathetic dream? Hahahha! Okay, I owe you one, Mayo.
Thanks for listening.
Love to YOU Always,
S
p.s. Watch out for those high gas prices!
Fimmy, I love your maggot-infested body ;) lol
Ergo, that's something that I was planning on trying out for a while. Just a couple of sentences, direct and to the point, but not super harsh or anything like that.
Mj, bwahahahaha! Thank you for that joke :]
K, I think that was the stuff that the anon from earlier didn't comprehend. I like mcr(I think I still do sometimes) but they're not the best band in the world and please, gerard is not immune to criticism.
No one is. Criticism can either hurt someone's feelings, or help them.
Right? He just seems like he'd rather be anywhere else, why another tour?
Solly, you dreamed! I'm so glad! I'm just all around glad for you Solly, the whole sleepy dreamy thing. Isn't it nice? :D
BC, Gerard has said in a few different interviews that he doesn't bother with criticism. I know a lot of people think that's "strong" or whatever, but it's actually quite weak. Criticism happens and you grow from it.
Obviously he has stopped trying to grow anyway, so.
Umm, randomly: Some dude on OK Cupid just messaged me as an admirer; he wants to hook up.
HE JUST GOT OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL.
HELLO.
Mustard, I agree. Jamia is beautiful and she makes frank happy. They just look so cute together. Frank will make a great dad someday.
Maybe gee will read the letter if you bribe him with some starbucks ^_^
First!!! Fuck yeah. Take that siobhan and rw! >:)
Oh Mayo, if you pst tonight I hope it will be before bed time. But probably not. ^_^ Well then, it will be nice to wake up to a new post, if you do post tonight.
Or perhaps tomorrow when we're all at work? O_O Then I will miss you, but it will be nice to log in during a hectic day and read something new also.
haha well done BC!
BC, no one is above criticism, but it's about the way you express it.
Kapunua chooses to boycott. That is by far the more sensible approach, if you wish to take it.
Sensible perhaps, but meaningless. Gerard doesn't need my money or support, and it's sure as hell not going to change anything, one fan walking away. Even if it is for the right reasons.
Even if it is for the right reasons.
May I say that you brought up an excellent point yesterday with this?
You did.
K, exactly. You need criticism. He definitely needs it.
Longing
Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again!
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.
Come, as thou cam'st a thousand times,
A messenger from radiant climes,
And smile on thy new world, and be
As kind to others as to me!
Or, as thou never cam'st in sooth,
Come now, and let me dream it truth;
And part my hair, and kiss my brow,
And say: My love! why sufferest thou?
Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again!
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day.
Yes, it is for you.
