at one point today i was goofing off out on the internet (someone has to), and i took this random little quiz designed to tell me what sort of invisible thing i would be if i were an invisible thing.
it turns out i'm an invisible me: "just doing my thing, whether you can see me or not."
it charmed me. i'm smiling just remembering it. perhaps it's because one of my weaknesses has always been feeling that i'm expendable, pleasant enough company but not thought of when not there. not remembered, not needed.
now, i know that's not true, but it's still a feeling that i struggle with regularly. heart and head rarely agree. heart usually wins when it's dark.
so that result...i don't know...i guess it just reminded me i could be happy in my own company, that i'm enough, all by myself. not bad for a silly internet quiz. :)
anyway, i also stopped by here off and on, and every time i did, i re-read your post, and i have to tell you, i really like it. solidly.
it's just very strong, the strength of someone standing securely on their home ground. it's angry, but it's deliberate, too. the last part still has that feeling of malediction to it, but a justified one.
the title of the poem, however, keeps coming across in my head as "collard greens"...which makes me think of that elvis song "poke salad annie".

I really hope you get to read this comment. Yesterday was yet another shitty day, and today's lining up to be another, but as you well know, I'm not "allowed" to talk about it. Why? I'm not sure. Lots of other people get to complain about all kinds of things. When the Punks do it, though, we get harrassed, called "whiny", taunted, ridiculed, accused of "gushing" to Mayo, and/or obsessing over Frank Iero's cock. Ever see THAT accusation? Yeah, that's MY favorite.
And I will guarantee you that some foul-mouthed Vulture will jump on this comment--but not until after I leave. It'll probably be something like, "Waa, waa, go cry to your precious SS, he'll make it all better," blah blah blah. We could both write that, blindfolded.
Why there is so much hatred and intolerance in the world is beyond me. It seems particularly bizarre that some dish it out to a certain select few.
You know, I don't expect everyone to like me. But I WOULD like to be treated with respect. And if they can't do that, why can't they just leave me alone?
It would be so nice if you and I could talk to each other face-to-face. I know that's probably not gonna happen, but it would be nice. You always know what to say to comfort me, to make me smile. And a hug would surely help, maybe for both of us.

First off we never said we were better than INO or BN. what we said was that with the experience we all had had at those place we liked it better here.

Big difference. SS has a life regardless of who s/he may or may not be. SS can't be here all the time. S/he shows up when s/he can.
Yes we do try to call her/him out sometime but that is what you do with someone you consider a friend.
Anyway if SS stop coming it maybe because of the anon attacks. SS comes in as anon and may not want to be mistaken for a nasty one. This is just my opinion base on past examples.
But if SS doesn't come back anymore it is alright. We will still send messages to her/him the same way we are for GV.
