It's just down the hall from the room with the tanning beds. I don't think Mayo ever uses them. They are pretty dusty. I can't imagine the Lord of the Blog with a tan.

I had to fly out to Dallas this morning, and there was this guy behind me....let me tell you...a dream.
And i kept wanting to take a picture with my phone, now i wish i had, he's been on my mind all day.
I could kick myself for not taking his picture.
I do see Mayo, as a shy guy, nauty! but shy.

Elena, I'm sure they do need security. However, Gerard's the only one that feels like he needs to be attached to their hip at all times. The other three interact.
It's just that Gerard doesn't even look like a regular guy anymore. I look at those pictures and I see a celebrity saying "COMING THROUGH. OUTTA MY WAY PLZ", y'know? I don't know. The things he said on stage were shitty, yeah. But now? It's getting harder to just look at him, like Kapunua said.
I look at Mikey, Frank, and Ray and see ordinary people like you and me. I don't see that in him.

I understand Amy, but I do think it's almost a defense mechanism. The Gerard you see as the MCR vocalist and rock star, is not the real Gerard.
Can you imagine, he would probably feel very apprehensive on the plane knowing that soon he has to face legions of screaming teenagers. He probably also fears for his safety. He must feel overwhelmed at times, and I would think that those glasses offer some form of psychological protection.
KD - I'd fear for my safety as well if there were thousands of screaming girls in an airport, who may or may not have wished my wife unwell at one point or another.

We looked at all the new pictures.
Gerard IS the lead singer of a very popular band. He would require extra security, from a Warner point of view at least. I don't think the guys have a say in who gets how much security. The picture of Ray shows a bodyguard next to him. We don't know that the guy next to Mikey ISN'T a bodyguard. And Frank always tries to ditch his bodyguards, so it's no wonder we don't see anyone around him.
Yes, Gerard's wearing sunglasses. But maybe his eyes hadn't adjusted to the light yet; they did just get off the plane. And we all know that he tends to wear his favorite items of clothing until they rot off of him. That's more a guy thing, really.
Personally? I think they all looked great. Both Frank and Gerard look like they've put on some much-needed weight over the break. Mikey looks better than he has in years. Ray looks rested, too.
Maybe we should wait and see what transpires over the next few weeks. Pictures don't tell the whole story, remember.

Hello everybody. I wasn't going to post but this conversation brought me in.
On Gw and the security. I think this is a recent thing so I think it's him being a diva. I don't remember him in the past being this closed off.
Something has changed in him. Like I said its like he is more jaded. The other thing that bothers me about the security is not only does it keep the fans away but the other people in the band. It's the other 3-4 guys than Gw and his body guards.

I'd say the reason G has more security now than he ever had before, is because more people know who he is. He's the one in the spotlight, you know? It's not an unusual situation; most lead singers get the lion's share of attention from the media and from the fans. So, they're the ones that need more security.
I mean, look at the Rolling Stones. How many of their fans mob Charlie Watts at the airport? Come on! The guy looks like your grandpa.
It's a matter of recognition. That's about it. Not that the other guys aren't worth mobbing, they are, but Gerard is the center of attention. Just like Mick Jagger. Just like David Bowie. Just like Bono. Just like Adam Lazzara.

So what if he just got off a plane. There are all sorts of celebrity who get off planes to find the paparazzi there. You don't see all of them with all that security.

Hi all thought you might like a laugh I found this in some old papers
How to give a cat a pill!
1.Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook f your left arm as if holding a baby.Position right finger and thumb on either side of the cats mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth pop pill in mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.
2. Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process
3. Retrieve cat from bedroom, throw soggy pill away.
4. Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holing rear paws firmly in left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for count of 10.
5. Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.
6. Kneel on floor cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growl emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold cats head while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down mouth and rub throat vigorously.
7. Remove cat from curtain rail, get another pill. Make note to buy new ruler and curtains. Carefully sweep shattered Doulton figurine from hearth and set aside for later gluing.
8. Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible. Put pill in drinking straw force into mouth and blow down straw.
9. Check label to make sure pill is not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply band aid to spouse’s forearm and remove blood from carpet with soap and cold water
10. Retrieve cat from neighbours shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door on neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with spoon and flick pill with elastic band.
11. Fetch screwdriver from shed to reattach door. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Throw t shirt away and fetch new one.
12. Ring fire brigade to get cat from tree across road. Apologise to neighbour who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil wrap.
13. Tie cats front and rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table. Find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed force cats mouth open with small spanner. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour water down throat to wash pill down.
14. Get spouse to drive you to hospital, Sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill fragments from eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.
15. Arrange for RSPCA to collect cat and call pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.
