The rhythm of my thoughts is calming. The grainy cadence of my voice is a constant reminder that I must, and will, refrain. It rains and it pours, beating the pattern like a tambour in my skull. The words are fugacious, and conservation is my priority. I have the ability to catch the phrases, hold them in sanctuary until they are well, and re-release them back into their natural habitat. I must let them go. Captivity will only foster anxiety, increasing the pacing…the back and forth search for limits.
It is there that they will live out the duration of their lives.
p.s. is it ridiculous to consider the possibility?

The Castle Mayo had me under its spell. There were others inside the walls. Others who soon became close friends. We had found a safe place to be ourselves. A place that soon turned into home. The Lord of the Manor was gracious enough to let us stay. He actually extended a warm invitation to all of us to enjoy his hospitality.

Here is my response to Essay 2.
2. Expand upon the theme of Silence used throughout Mayo's blog by using examples to support your conclusions.
Silence is a prevalent and constantly evolving theme often linked to the idea of truth in the entries of Mayo's blog. The act of being silent, as seen in many of his early posts, has evolved and transformed just as Mayo constantly changes and transforms. He is no longer suffering in silence to the extent he was at the beginning of the entries.
One of his earlier posts entitled, "Did you hear the one about the man who remained silent only to be heard?", mentions "The whispers are only for myself, and I repeat them often enough to know them all by heart. The truth, I held it under my tongue and prayed...all the while losing my hold on the meaning. Now my words are bent and broken from the release." This is one of the first references to remaining silent because the resulting repercussions from vocalizing this truth, will be adverse, or "bent and broken words."
"I can't keep up with you so, I will allow you the lead. Mine is the last resort on the way to silence. I should be omitted. I will decline, but do not forget to offer." This entry discusses silence as a stance that is not a choice, but more of an imperative. He's got no choice.
A more recent entry shows that Mayo is indeed tiring of silence, and the resulting breaking of this silence will be messy. He writes, "Then you have to be willing to hear me out, and that means all of it. You can not pick and choose the verse; the ugly shit has got to ring in your head too. The things that I say that cling to your clothes like mildew, the stench entrenched, leaving you filthy." This shows a turn in the acceptance of silence, and Mayo's reaction to it. He's going to talk, but look the fuck out!
One of his most recent posts most clearly shows his transformation. He writes "With my voice in repose, I hid behind my own forbearing shadow, and allowed silence to foster absolution. Silence failed, and I have become intolerant of flippant commentary." This is quite different from the earlier whispering to himself, and holding back the words.
Finally, his most recent change to his profile states, "Erupting and choking on my words. Purged and atoned." He seems to have found a release for the words, a place to deal with the truth, and this hopefully, will grant him solace.

Following a traumatic few weeks before Christmas I was lucky enough to go to Ireland for the holidays. I returned last night. Having had a really good break I have returned with a resolve to deal with issues as they happen rather than worrying to death about them before confronting them and to have a more positive attitude.
I logged on today with anticipation wondering how you all were, were there any developments and hoping you all were well.
Unfortunately I don't think I will ever have the time to catch up on all of the past weeks but I can tell there has been alot of unhappiness/bitterness in recent days and I hope a way of co- existing in a respectful manner can be found and that, eventually, common ground will bring everyone back to where they once were.
For what its worth, I am happy that new people are joining in. It adds a freshness and differing opinions are always interesting and don't always have to be believed. They can be ignored easily enough when you feel they are inappropriate.
I once worked in a place where the majority of people had been there for over 10 years-even sitting at the same desks. Management once attempted a reorganisation that would involve some people moving to workstations only a few metres away-there was uproar and management gave in. These people were very unwelcoming to new co-workers-close to viciousness. It was hell to be there. They wanted everything to stay as it was. Needless to say it was the least efficient and unproductive place I ever worked and was delighted to leave. We really don't want this to happen to Blog-Believe.
I look forward to getting to know everybody again.
By the way-does anybody know how Bob is doing, has he recovered from his injury?

CTV, just being yourself and being honest is great, but at the same time I am not going to force people to pretend to be someone they are not. If they are genuinely nice people, then that is cool. As for anons, the only time I have a problem with them is when they talk shit about one of the family members, or myself. But other than that, I do not give a shit about them. Last I heard, Adam was arrested for pulling a gun on someone at a club, or something. He was, around the same time, diagnosed with a mental illness. He'd had it for some time, but it went untreated for years.

Yeah, I think he's getting help for it now. He had an abusive father, I think it started with that & then probably escalated when his career started to slip.
RW, Adam is bipolar. As far as I remember reading this on some official fan site, he got diagnosed with it in his early 20's. That's what made him change and started making music.

I saw Bruce Springsteen before Christmas-the best I've ever seen. 2 and half hours of continuously exceptional vocal and musical performance from himself and the E Street Band. Will never forget it. I read somewhare that everone should experience a live performance of "Badlands" before they die-I would thouroughly recommend it.

I saw Elton John on Jan 4 and though I wouldn't have booked to go ( a friend couldn't and I got his ticket) he was a very accomplished performer and I really enjoyed it.

As well as being an icon Springsteen has always had a keen political and social conscience that I totally identify with-everyone deserves the best but most get dealt bad hands and have to do the best they can. I'm a huge fan.
I've only seen Jubilee once (my local video rental store had it for a while, but it went missing), so I don't remember the songs he performed in it. I keep meaning to buy the film, but any copies of it that I come across are quite expensive.

Anon, hopefully there is a good prognosis for Bob. Clarence, Stevie Van Zandt and Max Weinberg were incredible. Nils Lofgren was a revelation-what a musician! The really good thing was that the best tickets were reasonably priced. I'm sure they could have charged over £100 Sterling per ticket like others eg Rolling Stones but they didn't. Another indication of integrity.

First, let me apologize for not being here. I am sure most of you know that I still have dial-up internet so after 250 comments there is no way for me to get in over here. I hang at DM and am lucky enough to have MissT pass my notes for me.
Now, where do I begin? Oh, I know...back to how this all started. Can you all remember? Do you? It was just a blog. We'd come here, we'd leave our comments, and we'd run out again. We never expected this place to become what it has become, and make no mistake about it...it is special. Friendships blossomed. We laughed, we listened, we cried, we played kickball, we had parties...we became attached. We became a real family. We respected each other...we fought for each other. What has happened? Respect seems to have been thrown out the fucking window.
Next thing, this is Mayonaise. This place belongs to Mayonaise. You should have respect for him always. If you wouldn't want this shit going on at your house, then don't bring it to his. If it's even a question, then leave it some place else. Acknowledge your host and be a courteous guest. When you come here, remember him. It is true that he could shut this down if he wanted to, but do you really want to force his hand? No, I don't think you do. They always say you won't miss something until you don't have it anymore and I am betting we'd miss this place pretty terribly.
Another thing, respect each other. This is BlogBelieve and the internet and you never know who you might be talking to. Do your best to treat everyone the way you would always like to be treated. Doesn't matter if it's an anonymous, a newcomer, a lurker who has come out the shadows, or a unicorn who talks...be nice. There's enough mean ass bullshit going on in the real world...if you can't be nice, then guess what...it's the internet...walk away. You are here by choice. Nobody is forcing anyone to be here. So regardless who is behind an identity, there is still a person somewhere typing those words. And you never know...they may be acting out because they don't know how to reach out. Most of us here just need somebody to listen. Remember what that used to be like?
Again, I'm not asking anyone to take any unnecessary BS, but I am asking that you take it elsewhere. Take it to the porch if you want. Or turn the computer off and walk away....really simple solution.

Mayo, I think, needs insight. He needs opinions and experiences. He learns from us. I'm sure he has enough shit going on in his real life that he doesn't need us fighting at his house.
SS, would be disappointed. Again. Damn, the dude just gets let down wherever he goes. I try to remember his words and learn from them. "Be good to each other." That just about sums it up, doesn't it?
Again, no one person here is special. No one here is smarter, prettier, more talented, or Mayo's favorite. We are all equal here in BlogBelieve. That's what makes this place so special. It doesn't matter anyway.

I'd like to talk about the family if I may.
When I first arrived at these blogs back in early september, I was too nervous to join in straight away. It was about two weeks before I made a name and jumped in.
I have never looked back. I had never done this kind of thing before but all the people here are wonderful and made me feel right at home. Even you mayo have spoken to me an a few occasions.
We would all laugh everyday and it was so much fun, we had kickball games, fuckfest, gohst stories, talk of boob sizes.
Lately though, it has been falling apart. It has been one bad thing after another. December was a washout, I had hoped that the new year would bring happier times but it doesn't seem to be heading that way.
I miss all the fun we had, where did all that go? I know that you all miss it too and we all want it back so let's get it back.
Can we please let bygones be bygones? Whatever has happened, whatever people have said, please can we all stand up and hug the blogperson on your left.
Can we all shake hands and start again. Can we please forget about the arguments, forget about the conspiracy talk, forget about all the negative stuff.

J.'s blood sugar levels are NOT doing well today, and they have been yo-yoing, so she is feeling rough.
My first priority is to make sure she is ok, and I think a small vacation somewhere would be great, even if it's just for a day or so.

I rather imagine that you're concerned about what your words will cause if you do not "pasteurize" them well enough.
I'll be honest with you, I have a fucking dirty mouth. Not only online, but in real life as well. However, regardless of how uncouth my speech may be, I do clan it up for certain situations. Not just the bad words mind you, but I speak differently with different people.
I can speak casually with the employees. I use a more complex language dealing with upper levels of management, and of course, with customers.
When I'm home, I use a mixture of both. Verbosity with the occasional "cocksucker" in between of course.
And then there's how I speak on here. You're witness to that.
Either way, I think it's good you concern yourself with these things. Ask yourself, have you been good today?
