Hello thar, Paperheart!

You doin' okay today?

Elena:

Karma. It'll come back and bite 'em in the ass for being mean. They'll get theirs, just remember. You just be as nice as you can and you too will get that back sometime, tenfold.

Winnie ze Pooh? He's so cute.

Mustard, I am doing just dandy. How are you doing?

Amyranth, I agree with all of my heart!

elena said...

Winnie the Pooh is from the 1960's I've had so many people want to buy him cause he's much nicer than the light-ups made now.
He's just another of the weird things I've got here. I used to put so many of them in the front window up unfortunatly I've had people steal things out of the window so I can't anymore. Oh and I put up an aqua small metal tree with Skelanimals ornaments.

I hope you weren't taking a bath outside!

You'd be a popsicle if you got out and that'd not be good.

Amyranth said...

I just went to the MCR website and noticed that you cannot download House of Wolves as a ringtune from there, but you can from my cellphone provider.

Odd.

Elena:

Your bookstore sounds so inviting. I'm sure your customers appreciate that. Seems like a good place to...read a book I s'pose :)

Anonymous said...

That is odd, Amy.

Must have some sort of contract with the provider you have that says they can only do that through them. Doesn't make sense that it's just one song though.

JocelynHolly said...

Elena,

Did you know that Winnie the Pooh is named after my city?

Winnie = Winnipeg.
^_^
That makes me proud. =]

R.I.P. John Lennon

Anonymous said...

Thanks for that Kapunua.

May he rest in peace.

Anonymous said...

I really miss him. Damn, I wish I was around when I could say that I "knew" John Lennon.

A genius in his own right.
A philanthropical individual.
A truly remarkable man.

Pisses me off that people feel the need to take another person's life for reasons which his were taken.

elena said...

Paper I had heard that Christopher Milne had named his teddy after Winnipeg, a bear he and his father saw at the London Zoo. Didn't realize the bear was from Winnipeg. I've heard you have a lovely city. I would love to visit there some day.

elena said...

I was decorating my parents house for Christmas when the news about John came over the radio. I simply sat down and cried.

Anonymous said...

Yes, that's Johnny. I'd have to say he was my first musical crush. I was eight years old when he was killed and I remember it like it was yesterday.

My Mom was cleaning the house because there were people coming over. I was going to go clean out my hamster's cage. He was a little white hamster named Snowball. When I went to move him he was cold and stiff; I assumed that he was dead though at the time I'd never seen any dead animals before, so I wasn't sure and I had my Mom come and check. She buried him for me in a little shoebox.

A few hours later I was sitting on the steps still crying and at waiting for my Dad to come home from work. My Mom, who was still cleaning, turned on the radio. I'm not sure why it wasn't on earlier because usually the radio was always on at my parents' house.

I wasn't really paying too much attention to what people were saying on the radio, but for some reason I couldn't fathom, they were playing all my favorite songs. Like Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Hey Jude, Revolution, Nobody Told Me There'd Be Days Like These, Imagine, Come Together, and Starting Over. At the time I figured that it was just that someone knew I was sad and was making it so that all my favorite songs got played on the radio.

Then I saw that my Mom was crying and I figured that she was just crying over Snowball. When I finally asked her what was wrong, she told me that John Lennon had been assassinated. (This was how I found out what that word meant.) Then she told me that all those songs I liked, he had written or co-written most of them.

But it wasn't till I was around sixteen that I got kind of obsessed with Lennon. I had like a posthumous crush on him after I watched Hard Day's Night and Help. The reason for the crush was because he was so damn snarky, but so damn funny. I used to try to copy all of his snarky lines and inflections. It wasn't so much what he said, but his deadpan, unflinching delivery and comic timing. Oddly I rather loved him as a comedian as much as a musician. I actually still, to this day use a lot of his lines from those movies.

Anyway, so my enduring crush on "Help" era John Lennon, yeah.

LOL. Can we say MAJOR BOYCOTT? I love Leto and I've seen almost everything he's been in. But this movie needs to be run over by a train. I'll never buy it, never download it, never support it.

MIB,

They put rabid dogs down; I don't know why people like this are still alive. Not only to kill another person because YOU ARE A SOCIAL RETARD, HELLO, but to shoot someone in the back like a coward.

Anonymous said...

Yes, that's so funny because that's what I remember about him through interviews and things. Not only for his impressive lyrical and musical talent, but because of that dry, unwavering humor. He's someone I could listen to all day long.

It's odd how those things happen, your little rabbit and Lennon. Kinda makes it twice as hard in a way. I guess that's just how things pan out.

JocelynHolly said...

Kapunua, Elena, *HUG*

I wasn't alive when John Lennon died, but I've always liked the Beatles. It was just recently that I really began to listen to them more.

Hey Jude is my favorite song. It just helps me think and figure shit out.

Anonymous said...

Have you seen it though? Would it be worth my time or should I just go look at some really good documentaries that aren't Hollywood-ized?

Anonymous said...

I can't name a favorite Beatles song.

I love "Here, There, and Everywhere" (notice Mayo's probably reference).

Favorite Lennon song, I'm a loser, but I totally heart "Imagine."

elena said...

I too loved his deadpan humor. The old interviews are so fun to watch. It was like he was answering nicely but smirking at the world and you knew it. I still get choked up when I listen to "Imagine"

JocelynHolly said...

Wow. I've never heard "Imagine"!

Anonymous said...

I simply sat down and cried.

Elena, that's probably all anyone did, save for the people that wanted the man dead and out of the country.

I see Lennon's death as a major turning point, not only in music history, but also US/World history. It was that big to those living during this time, and it has still had an effect on the later generations.

I rank him up there with JFK, MLK, help me out here, all the greats in our society. He was that big.

"Stop trying to drag things down to your own level. It's immature, son."

"I wouldn't touch you with a

"It WAS you buzzing. You naughty boy!"

"I like a lot of seasoning in my soup."

"You're another failure, aren't you, scientist?"
(I use that one a lot, too, replacing "scientist" with whoever I'm talking to.

Ahh, good times. ^_^

I am also jappy this weekend. Have had great company, great food, and great rest, and it's only Saturday afternoon!

Thanks Andiebomb, but no, not this time. She's not a candidate for any of that kind of treatment. This is too aggressive and fast-moving and has already metasticized almost everywhere. It's just a matter of making the most of what little time there is left and making her as comfy as possible.

My friend from work who moved away last year just emailed me. She just found out that her beloved dog--and this dog was like the only thing that got her through two messy breakups and her father's illness--also has cancer and she's putting off the inevitable. My boss's dog was just diagnosed with it, too.

I don't know if it's because dogs are tending to live long enough to develop it, or if it's environmental, but you see it so much it's ridiculous.

resurrected wreck said...

Yeah, it's seasonal. I run a humidifier all the time and I take oil baths, too.

See if you can get your hands on some pure shea butter and / or jojoba and stick those in your bath. They are miracle workers.

Stay away from soaps that have a lot of detergents, fragrances or dyes. Use soaps that have as few ingredients and preservatives as possible. Kiss My Face is pretty pure; I rely on that one.

Glycerin soaps smell nice and they do make your skin softer, but at a great cost if you use them in the winter. Glycerin does work: it makes your skin feel soft and moist. BUT. That's because it gathers moisture from the environment (you see how water beads up on it when you leave it overnight?) This is fine if the humidity in your house or outside is over around 40%. But if the humidity is low, then guess where glycerin takes moisture from to put on top of your skin? It takes it from the very fragile new cells underneath, and damages those cells. So only use glycerin soap if you've got a lot of environmental moisture in your house.

AND FOR GoDSAKES STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING PETROLEUM bASED.

Manicurists tend to use a lot of chemicals, too. Nail polish remover is actually really bad for you. Stick with natural products and oils like jojoba. Even olive oil, if you don't mind the greasiness, is good.

When I'm at work I can't use anything oily on my hands, as I am handling fabric all day. There's a product out called Udderly Smooth, the formula of which was based, I believe, on udder cream. Some fabric stores sell it, as it absorbed well and doesn't leave any greasy film on hands. I haven't been able to find it in Toronto yet though.

Damn there goes my alien speck in that post you copied Rw. I hate this keyboard it will randomly jump back a sentence if I start typing to fast. So I'm always deleting something that went wrong and I don't always catch the mess ups.

No Bn = hell on earth. It has some nice information just don't talk to the natives they are very restless over there.

So, I read Mayo's new entry!
I don't want to stir things up, but it sounds to me like an invitation to another 'alternate universe'!

resurrected wreck said...

thanks RW! *blush* if you really mean it, all you have to do is send an email to tambienensabado@hotmail.com that says "i vote for andrea" :D

Will do, Andiebomb :) Can i do this at any time, and do I need to make reference to the particular contest, or will "I vote for Andrea" suffice?

Martha, a fellow student of mine has also to deal with a migraine now and then. She lays on something that is called 'Tiger balm' on her temples.

Fasc, I can only see an old Gerard pic, where he sits outside somewhere and wears black chucks.
No Kuala Lumpur pic!

resurrected wreck said...

have you checked out the pic guys?? come on i had to ask mr bloke to help!! do you know how dangerous that was!!

I looked at it, FASC! :D They're all looking pretty good. And... doesn't the expression on Frank's face make him look like he's got a secret??

Anonymous said...

I didn't know that speck is also an English word. *giggles*
The word 'Speck' means 'bacon' in German, hehe.

You've got a point there, Siobhan. Though I have a feeling Mayo would be loathe to take that route again after what happened the last time.

AndieBomb said...

no no RW, you can do it anytime :D
I hope you are feeling better!

No, Fasc! Still no pic! It leads me to the GW forum and to the phots section, but I can only see the described pic. Do I have to click on something to get to the page of the pic?

resurrected wreck said...

Try the link again, Siobhan. Did you copy and paste? Maybe you didn't get the whole URL in there. I saw it fine.

Siobhan the advice on thank you for the migraines. Also i was kinda thinking the alternate universe think to. I sometimes think Mayo want to chat with us more but this place maybe to public now.

capture this void said...

Mayo, thank you for the new blog.

What happens here, the support, the friendship...it simply amazes me.

It is our willingness to give that creates an environment that people want to belong to and where efforts do make a significant difference. We've seen this, and it truly is remarkable. It amazes me too, my friend.

The end result, restoration.

True friends will stick by your side through thick and thin. I have faith in you, love. Just remember, please, you need to listen and hear him out even if you don't like what he's saying. You are quite stubborn after all, right? It's a harsh reality but you need to learn to stick to the humble, bruised truth.

Let good humour, a balanced life and a caring attitude guide your way. And thank you for speaking with us.

Hello RW, MJ, FASC, Siobhan and anyone else lurking around. :)

Resurrected Wreck, nice to see you on so early. You're usually on in the evening, no? Weekend, hmm? Either way it's great to see you here.

(a href="YOUR URL HERE")type whatever you want the link to say here(/a)

I think that should work. Just replace the brackets with '<'.

Do you mean those pics of Gerard and Frank, Fasc? You have to scroll down, of course! Ignore the fansheep babble.

Hey everybody!

I think all the new theories are entertaining. Maybe the post was really for his friend. Maybe it was a "Don't let the door hit you on the way out" sorta thing. But the P.S. fucks that idea up in my head. It sounds "nice," if you look at the actual post being "nice." On the other hand, it sounds like, "Here, let me help you get out of my life, you bastard" if you look at the post being sarcastic.

My conclusion:

Mayo's an effin' mystery.

capture this void said...

I wish Gerard would quit wearing the awful jean jacket. Brings back memories of Projekt Revolution.

That's just me though.

It's not just you, CTV. Speaking of PR jackets, I keep wondering why the hell gerard wouldn't take his jacket off at that one PR show where it was so hot he ended up throwing up on stage. Made me wonder what it was he had on his arms that he didn't want anyone to see. Maybe I'm way off the mark on that, though. Maybe he was just being stupid.

capture this void said...

I've never thought of that, RW. I always thought it was because he wanted to look fashionable.

Either way, he's a tool.

G-Way was right. He refuses to discuss his personal life. He'll just wear it on a t-shirt or write it on his neck.

Hello to everyone that is here.

Mayo:

Thanks for the new post. My first interpretation of it was that it was directed at Miss T. Is it? Or is it for all of us. I know you care for us mayo, and I cant stress enough how much it means to everybody here. I'll reach as far as I can, but promise me you will hold on. If you let me go, I'd go back to a place I dont want to go back to. Hold it tight, I will too.

How is everyone?

I didn't attend the Toronto show, but when he was here, he wore the pink MSI underwear and pulled it up waaaay up high for the photographers to get a good picture.

You have no idea how happy I was to have not been there. I don't want him or his revolting wife anywhere near my city. Or my province. Or my country. GTFO, please kthnx.

Anonymous said...

I think he smoked because he felt uncomfortable! Only to have something to keep his mind from the hysterical fans. Something to keep him occupied during waiting for the 'limo', hehe!

farawaysoclose said...

sadly i have to leave you my friends! mr bloke is huffing and puffing his way around the house saying "how long are you gonna be?" "it was like this last sat night!" i said i'll be 10 mins, then he threatened to go to bed?? its only 22.15 ffs! what an arse! he's opened another beer now so he's obviously staying up! jesus christ! life is so crap aint it!! gotta go. see you all tomorrow. love to all.

Hi Jade!

What is the thing with the unicorn?
I read somewhere to Mikey likes unicorns, which I find strangely enough for a grown up, but whatever...
And Gerard is wearing t-shirts with unicorns on it? Is it some sort of message or statement?
And what pink underwear?
And excuse me, PINK underwear?
What the hell...

Anonymous said...

I wondered about that myself, MJ.

I'm so over Gerard Way and his antics. Let it be about the music one more time. Not about your wife. Not about pissing off homophobes. Not about taking a stand. All of that's gone now.

Just let it be about the music one last fucking time.

I gotta go. I'll be back in a couple of hours. Stay safe and be merry if you can :)

Well I'll tell you what, they're made for each other. If a guy I was with started waving me around like dirty underwear, showing me off as a conquest, wearing me like a fashion accessory, I'd send him on his way. Of course, if he also then started talking about "respect" while he was doing this to me--and also while disrespecting little girls by the thousands--I'd still send him away, but with a punch in the nuts, first.

But I guess she's into that kinda thing.

Oh yes, the pink underwear. I attended that Pr show, and I remember the underwear. I had no idea they were MSI underwear, though. I wouldn't want to wear something like that, I'd be afraid of what I might pick up...
