I have come to terms with the fact that eventually I am going to have to mention it. Will it be with sweeping metaphors or outright denial? Perhaps no one will understand.

Since you've been gone, we've had our share of ups and downs. For the most part, the Family is knitting back together, I think. There's always going to be some bickering, sure, because you can't live with people 24/7 without someone getting on someone else's nerves.
The vultures aren't always swooping in, some of them are taking up housekeeping. We try to push them out with the broom, but they're tenacious little bastards, and keep coming back. As I mentioned to one of them yesterday, it's hard to tell the good guys from the bad some days. For all I know, I was speaking to one of those bad ones myself. It didn't feel like it, but you know me, SS, I've been mightily wrong before.
Surely there's some store that sells Snarky Anon-away. Target?

I had the sweetest little lady come to the counter and ask me about the song that had just played. It was "Vampires". She said she wanted to know cause the song was so pretty at the beginning but then at the end the singer sounded like he was in pain. I explained to her that his girlfriend was bitten by a vampire and that was why he was upset. She looked at me a minute then said, "That would make you sad."

So I just met this guy and we really, really hit it off. He's a professional photographer, polite as fuck and just adorable. It was as if we've known each other for years. We hung out for hours just taking photos. And when he said he needed to get going he gave me this nice bear hug.
