I have come to terms with the fact that eventually I am going to have to mention it. Will it be with sweeping metaphors or outright denial? Perhaps no one will understand.
For now I am listening to the little voice, and reevaluating priorities.

Other Anon, I agree with everything you've said about BC and K. Sounds like you've been around as long as I have. I know what BC was referring to in regards to her blog and you were pretty close in your guess. Only she believed he was posting her song lyrics and poetry. She even affectionately called him her late night anon. Mentally unstable is right.
And K, well sometimes I think she is cool, but the other night when Mayo posted his latest blog and she went off on the new poster for no good reason, I lost a lot of respect for her. Ok you guys here is what I know about the I like turtles thing. Some local news program was doing a shoot about a fair that was going on and they pulled up this little boy who had his face painted like a skull. When the news caster asked him about his cool face paint he said "I like turtles" The Woody show on live 105 is where I fist heard about this. and they would use that phrase as a what the hell are you talking about sort of thing. If you listen to Bob and Gerard on the radio you can here the sound bit of the little boy saying I like turtles.

If you are a regular person to this blog you should know the shit we get from people logged in or not. Guys, I'll be back in a bit. My computer is eating the big one.
Frank and his family are in my prayers. It's always hard losing a grandparent no matter what your age. I was lucky to have both of my grandma's until just a few years ago. Losing both of them within days was one of the hardest things I ever faced. Somehow it’s like losing a part of your cherished childhood. I still miss both of them terribly. Just the other day I passed a little lady wearing Red Door perfume. That was my Grandma Green's favorite, she always wore it. I broke down and cried. Something I didn't do when they died. Something I should have done. I hope Frank gives himself time to grieve. It's important.

Rude is right. I don't care if she came at bad time for those who yelled at her, that is no excuse. The scary thing about K is that she really is very smart. That makes it unfair. When she has something to say she says it with fancy words and makes it hard to argue. She uses her words to dominate people and get them on her side. It's an unfair way to use intelligence.

ANON maybe you've missed that we welcome people that aren't hating. The incident you are taking about concerning Kapunua was a tense time for a lot of people. If you look back there were many here and many who did not attack anyone new. The only thing I ask is that people give themselves a name. It make you seem more committed instead of looking like you want to swoop in and make some nasty remark then leave. If you are here and want to be a part of us then do. I welcome new people. But part of being in this blog family is accepting that each and ever one of us had bad days. Sometimes we may snap and say something that isn't a nice as we'd like it to be but that's just being part of a family. You let it go and move on. So please if you want to join in then do. But don't come with preconceived notions about people. We're all human. We all have bad days.
As for Kapunua using big words...
She is well read and intelligent. She has a strong voice and gets heard. She also has a very caring voice if you listen.

I came here last night to give you a heads up regarding a death that affects someone you care about. The information is not new, but has yet to be released to the public. Also, I wanted to add some thoughts on Mayo's recent post. However, the behavior I witnessed from you "regulars" sickened and appalled me. I am now convinced that you are not deserving of any information I might have to give you.
Of course, almighty K, you don't give a rat's ass what this person has to say, but maybe some of the other people here do. But since you're the leader of this outfit, it's up to you to decide, right?

Anon at 6:51 we come here for a lot of reasons. And yes we do come here for each other. If you see this as a new BN or INO than I can't do anything about that. Maybe if you joined in more it would be different.
We are constantly being attacked by people. We have individual people on here being attracted. We have anons claiming to have inside info but don't. So after all of that you expect us to be trusting and nice with everyone who comes in saying they can help us. Not everyone can do that. Could Kapu have gone about talking to that person differently yes but that person could have also approached differently also.
Anonymous, I tend to stay quiet in the arguments.
You have some valid points about some people giving anons a hard time. It is to be expected sometimes because of how some anons have behaved. And remember,we can't tell one anon from another.
Some people have been quick to jump on newcomers and that is not always excusable, but past experiences have made people wary.
It was a good point made and I'm sure from now on people won't be so eager to shout others down.
BUT, whatever your opinions on other's behaviour, it is not OK to launch personal attacks. The anon who has been slagging off BC is way out of line. Whatever you feel about her and her views or behaviour, BC has never made a personal attack on anyone and it is not right for you to attack her.

Well considering that there appear to be at least two anons, I would say that your theory is wrong about one of the two. One of them is just a long time observer here that was disgusted at the bn mentality that has taken over here recently. This used to be a nice place that was welcoming to n00bs and the nice anons, now everyone shoots first and asks questions later. I can understand that the bitter and mean anons make people wary of new people, but the ones currently being discussed (one of which did have a name, in blue even) did nothing to incur the wrath of the 'inner circle'. Just my $.02.

...I know you'll tell me that you all come here for each other and I realize that, seeing as how you have turned this into your own personal version of the INO WAYT.
That's not a fair statement. If you've lurked at all on this blog lately you'll notice how many people come into Mayo's, mostly anonymously, with the sole intention of launching personal attacks on the regular commenters here. 99% of the attacks are unprovoked. Kapunua, being outspoken in her views and steadfast in her defence of them, gets it more than most of us.
Please understand, this place has become very much a home to us, with each blogger now a member of an online family. Imagine your home being bombarded daily, & your family members harassed, insulted, or worse. K was most likely on edge when the new anon came in and, smelling a potential rat, went on the defensive.
Situations have been explained. Apologies have been made. Comment - please do - if you have something valid to say. Vent if you feel you must but, realistically, not much more can be done about it. If you're not willing to play nice then perhaps it's time you moved on.
