I am sitting at a table with friends, it is dark and loud. I am bored. I am absently searching for something affecting to distract me, when I spot myself sitting across the room. I am at a table with some friends…and I am staring right back at myself. I am unable to look away. The gaze between us has me transfixed. Then he, the other me, shuns me with a smirk and joins the conversation at his table. He is speaking, and his hands are gesturing along with his alluring tale. His friends are captivated by the unconstrained other me. I envy his ease. Now I am alone at my table and I am singing to the other me. My song is pleading for him to hear, to once again find me, but he does not. And just as I am about to stop singing, you grab my hand and pull me up from my chair, and I wake up.
p.s. it is because the light reflected from painted glass is ambiguous. mirror me in your words, and that is where I find clarity. as do you, in each others.

With regards to the live lounge cancellation, well MCR have pretty much just stuck their middle finger up to Radio 1. IT IS NOT DONE! It is looked upon as a high profile session, this is a heavy volume NATIONAL radio we are talking about.
Prime time radio, a well thought of radio presenter and they cancel at the last minute?
They know well in advance the song choices, that can't be the reason.
Something has gone down.

radio 1 is highly respect not just in the uk but other place in the world. they are international i listen to them over here. i do hope that there was a good reason for backing out but it was mcr that backed out. they tried to help as stated on air but i do hope it was a good reason to

the radio show is not good cos its quite a big thing in the uk and the radio station obviously took it badly cos they took the piss out of them with the "my chemical toilet" afterwards. they wouldn't have done that if they thought the excuse to cancel was a good one. its sad cos we're a small place but highly populated and alot of people listen to radio 1, it won't have done them any favours.

MCR cancelled at the 11th hour a session and interview with Radio 1 in England.
The premis is that you are handed a list of about 5 songs and you choose one to cover for the live program.
They ' apparently ' didn't like the choice and couldn't come to an agreement with the station so they didn't bother turning up.

basically the live lounge on radio 1 consists of playing one of your own songs, interview and then a recent ish cover. its something special and the artists genuinely seem chuffed to have been asked. its all about the music and people expect a different interpretation of the cover. the band/artist is given a list of 4 or 5 covers they have to pick 1 and they get that in advance. mcr know all about it cos they did it a while back and they covered blur, song 2 which was brilliant.
anyway so last night they apparantly didn't want to do any of the covers suggested to them, asked to do one of their own choice and were declined so they decided to opt out. they stated apparantly it wasn't working for them or something.
i dunno, they had advance notice and i think its really sad cos for one i was looking forward to it and for two it won't be forgotten.
