Today was made of suck with lots of dead and sad things and I've only just come home and been able to scan your comments, but I did see one thing that really caught my eye:

I had Mr. Cohen on the brain when I first read our anonymous friend's little parable, but that is only because I am OBSESSED WITH LEONARD COHEN, SERIOUSLY, DO NOT MAKE ME SEND UP THE MP3'S. YES THIS NEEDS TO BE IN ALLCAPS.
All of his songs are genius, all of his poems are genius, and all of his books are, well, uhh, difficult to get through in some ways, but still genius.
That's because Leonard Cohen is made up of truth, win and awesome. It's because Leonard Cohen is ten pounds of brilliant in a five pound bag. Because Leonard Cohen's voice is sex, I mean that; his voice alone makes babies - beautiful, genius babies who are going to save the world and bring peace to mankind.
Also, Nick Cave is right up there with him, slightly less so, but I think together they could--and should--rule the world.
