up to 10 chicks now, though one may not make it, it was on the ground, fell out of the nest obviously, so cold when I found it, I thought it was dead, but it was breathing so I took it down to put under the lamp. Warmed up it got stronger and is back with the others now, but it's start isn't good, here's hoping. Two more I can hear moving inside eggs, and the other ones are fertile, just have to see if they hatch. You can't help them, or they can bleed to death as the yolk sac doesn't dry and detach properly. It's hard to let them go, but that's nature. Some things just can't be rushed and if it isn't meant to be, there is little you can do. If it cannot get out of the egg, it may be too weak to survive anyway. Sometimes you can only do so much.

I suppose you like chicks?(the poultry kind, lol) from your list of animals. They are so very cute, all fluffy and cheepy. Watching the hen look after them, show them food, water, teach them, is amazing. I have stood in as surrogate before too, just have to make sure they don't imprint on you. It's nice to be fairly involved though, so they are used to you. I did have a imprinted chick once, his name was Chanticleer, and he was a Biology experiment. Followed me around, sat with me and everything. At the end we were to return them, but knowing roosters don't get far in life, I arranged for him to go to a friends farm :]

Just have some last minute prep before we're gone to Warped for the day, but I wanted to ask if anyone got a look at those Perseids last night. We were fairly clear, but when I headed out at midnight my time (3am on the East Coast) I never saw a damn thing. Lots of stars, and a peeking moon, but no Perseids.
Oh well, maybe next year.

A little info from someone who's been around Mayo's since the beginning.
YES, it is full of sad old women, and ridiculous fangirls.
I don't think that Mayo is Gerard, but he MIGHT be. I say that not as a fangirl with wishful thinking (I never talked to the guy) but as someone who has seen the things that those old crazies also saw. If it is not Gerard (probably it isn't,) it is someone close to him.
Back in the day, Mayo would say something about a TV show, or hint about songs or such things, and then Gerard would say the same exact things on stage that night. So if it's not Gerard, it's someone who knows him and gave him some ideas.
SS is Frank. There were a lot of hints, but the easiest way to find this out was to go on Skeleton Crew and see that Frank would sign on about two to three minutes before SS would start talking to them. I think a few other people found out because you would see all their names pop up on Skeleton Crew just as soon as SS showed up.
Then there was the Leathermouth show riddle. At first I thought it was one of Frank's friends or maybe someone from Leathermouth. But looking at the time stamps, it was obvious that it was Frank.
The OPS may be insane and not too smart, but Frank put that out there for all to see. He wanted people to know he was SS.
I'm sorry guys. I dislike that blog, MCR and that whole scene as much as the rest of you. And yes, they are a bunch of sad old fangirls and you can tell they just live for the moments when Frank comes on to talk to them. It's because they have no one else in their lives. None of them do, r at least no one they care about as much as they care about Frank. Its sick the way they use each other to impress him.
I have my doubts about Mayo (may be Gerard, at least it is someone who always knew where he was going to be and what he was going to say).... but I have no doubts about SS being Frank. The evidence is overwhelming. Anyone who watched long enough could see it was him.
How about the time SS came on saying he was grieving, and saying "and then there were three" and a day later, Frank left the tour due to his grandmother dying? (And Mikey already wasn't there).
SS is a persona of his, much like Gerard has gone through personnas. It's his "nice guy" personna. I don't buy it for a second, not the way he's shown himself to be. It's an act, like Gerard's acts. But it is him.
Yes, the OPS have their dream come true. Frank Iero spoke to them.
But ask yourselves this. How sad is your life when you live for the day that a rock star talks to you on the internet??

Yes I remember the original blog was only surfaced cos someone found it in google cache after it had been deleted. (unlike mayo's blog url which was anonymoulsy posted by someone *coughmayocough* in response to loveman. Had they looked a few hours later those original SS venting blogs would never have been seen by another soul.

I saw those blog entries. They were sad and deep and wrung of someone truly hurting for their friend, or someone acting it very well. SS posted a comment or two withou being signed in, on M's blog. People picked up the SS name and searched for it as a blog name. That's how they found his blog. When word got around, he deleted it. Now, the person's screen name is the SS one, but the url is changed. It used to be SS' name, but is now a reference to Frankenstein, and the entries are entirely different. SS, the true SS didn't want that publicity, he wanted to get things out. He didn't interact with people the way the new one does and he didn't write them stories or puzzles. The new one also has next to zero clues that it's Frank. The ole one was full of them. I think the original was Frank but when he disappeared after deleting his blog someone decided to ride on the tails of that and start a new one. If it were frank he could've picked something like 'rhino shit' iamadirtbag.blogspot.com, to keep it private again, but the person kept the SS name. I don't know, I'm rambling now.

Unlike Mayo, SS has predicted so many things, not just about my chem but also about leathermouth. I disagree with the comment about Frank wanting everyone to know he was SS, I actually think he absolutely didn't want the whole fandom to know. He is definitely very playful and seemed to enjoy leaving hints and clues but felt safe knowing there would always be an element of doubt and nobody could ever prove 100% it was him. After venting the way he did, I can totally understand that. At first I think he liked chatting to older fans but now he never really comes round any more as it's gotten so ridiculous over there.
I did wonder if he knew whether or not Mayo was Gerard and he actually said that he didn't know. But if you have been around since the start the evidence that SS is Frank is overwhelming. Most of the evidence though he was clever enough not to write on his blog page, but as an anon at Mayo's. Someone mentioned Frank logging on s//c and I remember SS was on Mayo's but Frank was not on s//c, SS chatted for a while and then said he had to go and write up some stuff and made a joke about no rest for the wicked (or words to that effect) and then about 15 mins later Frank posted a lengthy bulletin on s//c. It might have even been the one where he made loads of references to the blog. One reference could have been a coincidence but I'm not kidding, there were about six or seven.

Why are some of you so hostile when I'm telling you what I've seen? "Go back to the other blog"?? Why, I hate it there. I don't like them. They're a bunch of sharks.Telling me to "go away" smacks of Mayo's people telling us to "go away" because they are in love with MCR.
Yep, I do think that the Uglies hang out over here. Do you know what they do here? They tell us to "go away" and to stop saying that SS is Frank. Why? Because Frank is all they have in their lives.
This isn't some stuff I picked up "after the fact", yes it is easy to go back and say 'oh yeh that makes sense".... But that's not how it happened. This stuff was figured out *before* the fact.

TO answer other question's I don't think that he "dumbs down" his mCR postings. I do think he is more careless. Writing as SS he would sometimes try to "smart it up" but he still made a lot of the same mistakes Frank made.

Guess what, everyone? My doctor says I'm alive. YAY for me!

If anyone one needs proof of that (and since I can't leave MissT out here all alone in the giving medical details department), here is what I found out yesterday:
Blood pressure = got it! 106/62
(If anyone has too much stress in their life, my blood pressure can handle taking a little from you.)
Temperature = got that too! Not a running one though. 98.2
(It was COLD in there.)
Blood sugar = YES! Had some of that! 62!!! I'm making progress there. Up a wholde 10 points since the last time it was checked.
Now, normally Dr. B would not check my blood sugar. He is a urologist, afterall. But, after waiting for over two hours (he was running a bit late), leaving a little present for him in the bathroom and getting my yearly big ol' hug when he finally came into the examine room...
Where was I going with this?
Oh yeah, we had a year's worth of catching up to do. So, naturally he asked about my kitties, dogs, (he forgot about Miss Bingles Bunny and Henry de Turtle ~ but I reminded him), mom. I told him they were all fine, except mom felt like a pin cushion since we've been having some problems getting her blood sugar readings. It's a new thing for us and her blood just won't drip on that strip!
So, he very graciously offered to show me how to do it... on myself! I was not amused. I jumped a foot out of my chair when he stuck me!
I do get my blood sugar checked; just not THAT WAY. They check it when they check the important stuff like my cholesterol, vitamin levels, liver function and whatever else they check when they take 4 vials of my blood from my poor little veins. Speaking of which, I need to get that done this week too! My ob~gyn is waiting for my blood results so he can study the results for two weeks and call me with a new list of vitamins (prescription possibly) to take.
I shall keep you all informed of my vitamin intake. Or not!
Oh and there was no blood, cancer cells or infection in that little present I left for him. And, I found out Dr. B loves HIM too!!! Yes, my urologist rocks!
Mya!!!!! How are you? I have missed you! Is Lauren back in school yet? My nephew started Monday and had homework that first day back. How horrible is that?!

I'm not sure what I walked into, but I wanted to thank MJ for the KoL link last night.
It took me a while but thanks to KoL anon and those ONTD posts, I've become a huge fan. I hate feeling like I jumped on a bandwagon though, especially since I went back and listened to their older music like all the fans on ONTD kept telling me to do and I love it! ASH is so amazing and I love Caleb with the elfish haircut and clean shaven. I also love Y&YMH. The long hair and weird beards crack me up.
I just hate that older fans are kind of shitty to people who haven't been into them forever. I'd like to find out more stuff, so do you think you might point me in the direction of some decent fansites, KoL anon? I'd like to join ontd_kol, but I'm afraid they won't accept me.

Basically, things were left for individuals to figure out on their own. Plus, no one wanted this place to attract any screaming squealing teenagers, so we didn't broadcast our "suspicions", out of respect for the blog and the owner/s.
But since you brought it up... It was fun back then, wasn't it?
I've long given up trying to figure out who Mayo or SS really are, but it use to be fun trying to put all the pieces together. Then it just got frustrating, for me anyway.
Eventually, some people (Blog Hogs) posted more stuff on this blog than they did on their own blog (for attention) and it became annoying, especially if you were trying to have a conversation with other people. As SOME people are aware (because they received an email from me a few days ago) I have not been here for a while.
Part of the email went like this:
I went to the beach with a friend of mine and we stayed at his friend’s house, right on the beach, for 4 nights. It was lovely! His friend’s family is mega rich! They own 4 beach houses, a 78 Ft. Yacht (normally docked in the Bahamas ), a private plane, etc.
Must be nice, right?! Well, it sure is nice that MY friend has rich friends! LOL! Oh, and his friend’s parents are divorced but still co-own all these properties (smart-ass lady, right?), AND that smart-ass lady’s house is 15,000 sq. ft. and has 3 pools!!!!!!!!! Can you say, “Holy Shit”?! I want to go to one of her pool parties!
Anyway, like Miss T said, I "brushed with the riches" for a few days!
The guy said that when the yacht is in the Bahamas, he can jump on their plane and be on the yacht and fishing quicker than it would take them to drive from the upstate of SC down to Charleston. That just pissed me off...

didn't feel like going outside by that time, of course, so i just pushed the sash all the way up and hung out the window, craning my neck to try and see all of the sky at once.
it was beautiful out there, waning moon and rising fog and the sounds of night creatures. it was calming and nourishing all at once: a cup of cocoa at just the right temperature on a snowy day, the opening scene of your favorite movie, the scent of your loved one's shirt and the warmth of their arms.
i didn't see a single shooting star, but it was the best moment of the entire week, without a doubt.

And Good Morning to J, Wendy, Miss T, Mya, Ergo, MJ, Wish, Elena, Teej, Various Anons, Mayo, SS, and I see Lear has been at the couch again. *sigh* Blasted cat.
So! If yesterday was the last Warped Tour that will be happening in Calgary (and according from the guys in Less Than Jake, it's moving to Edmonton next year) then it was a great day for it. We all burned, but it didn't get any hotter than 22 degrees. The crowd was great, the bands were "on" with everything and the venue will be sorely missed.
(Drainage pond. Buncha plebes.)
We didn't get to see everyone, unfortunately. There's only been one year where all the bands we wanted to see were not scheduled all at the same hour, so we did miss a handful of bands that would have been great to see. Gallows and Big D and The Kids Table were two of those bands. We actually didn't have much to see until 5:45pm when "our" lineup started with Scary Kids Scaring Kids. We had about 1/2 hour waiting for Bad Religion, so we checked out Westbound Train (swing/ska/big band/reggae style, very fun). After that, it was Bad Religion for 45 minutes, then we ran over to see The A.K.A'S who had actually just gotten into town themselves as their van had broken down in Great Falls Montana. According to the lead singer "If you ever find yourself in the unlikely position of being stuck in Great Falls for any period of time, I suggest you kill yourself. It's easier."
As usual, a memorable day, but one of those that will have to last forever.
