ergo, my boss suggested somehting like that back when i was looking for pincushion ideas. it's a good idea, plus, i had to make an etsy account today to talk to the woodworker, so i could esily set up shop there.
the problem is that right now i just don't have the space or materials or time. all my usual supplies and tools are in storage, etc., etc.
however! once i get settled into my own place, i'm gonna see what i can do.

we had a siamese once, and they really are talkers! i remember when abigail would walk intot he room, i'd say "hi abby" and without stopping, she'd go "mowp" and continue on her way. all very casual, donchaknow. :)

so, yeah, today was pretty shitty. i had a lot to do at the shop, it was a day i was there by myself, and most of my customers were not pleasant. it was a very long day.
but when i got home, there was a little envelope waiting for me, my ticket to maxwell's.
it's amazing how mood-altering one little scrap of paper can be. *grin*
i can't even begin to tell you how much i'm looking forward to this. i watched a few videos this morning at the shop, mostly mcr at the roxy, but also one of drive by at madison square garden last year. it brought it all back to me in a sharp rush, standing at the barrier, listening to the band i hadn't even known about a month and a half prior, but that i had come to truly enjoy, one of the gifts my adventure had given me.
i'm hoping seeing them perform again will remind me of my own forward motion. it's so easy to get mired down here.
plus, it's just going to be fun!
but until then, that little ticket is going to have to do all the work of keeping my spirits up, poor thing.

You should try one, I have frangipani at the moment, the actually fragrance a very large area, look good, and don't cost that much. This is a short goodnight and a goodbye. Not really a goodbye but a farewell I guess. See I’m leaving in the morning on a trip. Not sure where I’m going but we’re just getting on the Harley and hitting the open road. We’ve never done this before and I have to admit I’m excited and a bit nervous. There is a part of me that keeps saying “you have too many responsibilities, you can’t possibility go.” But there is a part of me that says, “Damn woman, you need to get away even if it’s only for 3 or 4 days”. So I’m listening to that voice that’s saying go and I’m going. I do think I’ve talked him into a stop in Riverside so you’ll probably be getting a few pics from the future birthplace of James T Kirk. And he’s said he will stop at any old graveyards we pass so cross your fingers I might get another orb pic. I really hope so. This is gonna be fun I just have to let go and stop being nervous, right? Okay spontaneity is not one of my normal traits but I really want it to be. This trip is something he really is looking foreword to and he’s trying so hard to make it one that I will enjoy. Bless his heart he’s already packed my laptop for me. So I’m going to make sure he has a memorable trip. We are gonna have fun! Yep, I’m sure of it.

Went to the show last night and had a great time. Cheap Trick played 40mins, Poison 60 and Def Leppard 90. Robin Zander still, after all these years has an amazing voice. The guitar playing of Collens and Campbell were incredibly good.
The only bummer was Joe Elliot's voice which is well worn and can't hit the high notes anymore. First time seeing Def Leppard though so I was well pleased by the evening.

so, like i told ergo, today was a lazy day, but the neat thing is that i ended up working on all these little projects. i was doing some computer art, and writing up a few small story bits, and even sewing. i did a little bit of everything. it ended up being a creative day.

and now the moon is shining in the window, still bright though not as round as earlier this week. i know when i go to bed, she'll be lighting up my room. who knows what effect that will have on my dreams.

n recent summers, energy markets have been glued to weather reports as a series of tropical storms and hurricanes battered oil rigs, refineries and the like in the Gulf of Mexico, spiking prices for oil, natural gas, and gasoline.
Last year, there were four big storms by the end of July; this year, so far, there has not been a single named storm in the Atlantic. Forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have throttled back their expectations for the 2009 storm season.
They now figure there will be between 7 and 11 named storms, down from earlier forecasts of 9 to 14 named storms. The main explanation is that El Nino in the Pacific affects weather patterns and discourages storm formation in the Atlantic.
But don’t throw out those evacuation plans just yet. The NOAA warned Americans to stay on their guard, and noted that slow starts are actually the norm for hurricane season—the true anomalies were the busy years of 2005 and 2008. In 2005, for instance, there were already nine named storms, including four hurricanes, by August 10.

Just a quick hello from me. We out ran a storm all day which was a very good thing. Believe me you do not want to get hit by raindrops going 70 MPH. Now we are in Council Bluffs checked into the Harriah's. Actually on the 11th floor and the view is beautiful. I could really get used to this traveling! What? Anon, I'm a little confused, or you took what I said in a way other than what it was intended. What I meant was, if someone who doesn't 'own' the blog is leaving a list of things people can and cannot post, why listen to it or be bothered about it, so long as what's being posted isn't offensive?
I don't know who/what Porchies are/were or what they posted, so I can't comment on that. And I don't know what Amyranth was or wasn't referring to with that, but all I'm saying is, personally, so long as something's not racist or unnecessarily offensive (not everyone will like everything), I'll post what I want to, and I don't see why other people shouldn't, unless asked not to by Mayo.
If someone doesn't like poetry or song lyrics, riddles, whatever, they can scroll on past them like anyone else who doesn't wanna read a conversation people are having, for example. I don't see the need to be mean about it, and I for one wouldn't be, *shrugs* there're a lot of issues on this blog, clearly.

I guess not, lol. I only rarely ever dipped into the comments, just always read the actual posts. But yeah, I did get some idea of how some people can be, the other day, if you were around.
For someone who was observant, you sure didn't see very much.
I saw the list, and I saw people being mean here and there, 'blues' and anons alike, but I'm not interested in being horrible or reading people being horrible to each other. The fights and disagreements were nothing to do with me and I didn't have a blog, nobody knew me and therefore wouldn't give a crap what I said anyway, so I scrolled on past that stuff mostly.
So why play dumb and naive?
I'm not playing dumb or naïve. I've seen that a list of do's and don't's were posted, and I've seen and heard about arguing and fighting going on in the past. Exact particulars, I didn't want to get into, as comments, as intersting or funny as they sometimes were, wasn't why I came to the blog in the first place. So whilst I know a couple of the issues that have been problems (mentioned here and other places), most names, porchies included (though I'm assuming that's agroup of people), I didn't bother wanting to know much about.
Plain and clear, what I'm saying is that yes, I'd noticed a few problems, but was I interested in the details? No.
I hope everybody in areas affected by the quakes and the typhoon is ok. :/

we have had very severe flooding in 2008/2009 and further north has had a devastating cyclone a couple of years ago, and of course down south had major bushfires with many deaths
but we rarely have as many deaths as asia as we are less populated
You never know what the cyclone season brings, last one we had a very close call, so have to wait and see, but losing everything is unfortunately happened many times to people in the past

One has the shell cracked and one or 2 more are cheeping inside (I can't recall if I held the same egg twice)
they are now under a hen with the door blocked do no others can get in with her
other eggs got a bit cold but they may still be ok, never know
