Fried

There behind the casing, a path
you do not dare to follow.

It is fate that has impressed into the dirt
all the places it has been.

When where the earth is dry it is gone,
dusted into every other moment in time.
But where it is wet and allowed to parch
the trail remains and you can follow it
back to where it began.

It is given to chasing rat tails
and following frogs flopping into ponds.

That time spent heeding…
“You will never make it across.”

Until now that it is starved and the fat rat is slow.
But, the old black rope never made it across.

Just like it was told.
It was struck straight through
the middle, crushed.
Pasted to the burning hot asphalt
by a dodging challenge to cross.

Immediately it tried to coil around itself
to pull up from the back end, its entirety.

But it failed, and will lay there frying
until it becomes fully denatured.

While above crossing the trees, its foe glides
and swoops down between each rushing conveyance.

And they will eat!
They will pick apart bit by bit by the bill.
Because they must, they will.

I don't hate anybody. But I do think you're pathetic. But I don't feel sorry for you. Everyone has a chance to have a real life instead of staying in a fantasy world of having sex with rock stars, and getting crazy on a bulletin board. You made life choices and you chose to be nasty, mean crazy people with no lives.

I think you were going to post this at VV's and got confused.

Anonymous said...

Actually the people at VV's are really nice. There is very little fighting and no stalkers.

Anonymous said...

You've got to be kidding. Nice? They wish for people they don't know but don't like to die! They spend countless days trashing everyone they don't like, including people here. How is that "nice"?

Anonymous said...

No one there has wished for anyone to die. You can spread all the lies you want and make VV's out to be "haters" LOL but anyone can see that is not true.

Anonymous said...

Why - what happened to MJ to make you feel sorry for her? Did someone in her family die and she was told she was "doing it wrong" when she was in mourning? And then that person played cat and mouse with her saying "you can't guess who I am why don't you try to email me"? Oh yeh poor MJ.

There was a comment regarding Bob Bryar when he almost died two years ago. Someone said, "So close." Nice? That's not wishing him dead? Even if you say it isn't, it's still cruel.

Arguing with you lot is like pouring water on a saturated sponge. Does no good.

Fuck this shit. Believe what you want. You already do.

Jeez, must be a slow day in the toilet that is VVs.

I would not mind if they had something new to say but it is the same old shit repeated in the same shit way over God knows how many of Mayo's posts.

It is so fucking boring and shows such a lack of maturity and imagination. I guess it is best to leave them to it until they even bore themselves!

*sigh*

Anonymous said...

No it is not wishing him dead. Some of that is joking. Siobhan jokes all the time but she doesn't mean it. We also get trolls over there, like you guys, who say "cruel" things just to make the rest of us look bad.

Anyway none of that is as cruel as what gets done to a small group of people over here.

I guess if they are harassing people here it means they are not at VVs making ridiculous comments about GW's unborn child.

I guess that is a positive thing, right?

Anonymous said...

No one is harassing people here. Harassing is when you are stalking someone, posting things about them, private things, kicking them when they are down.

VV's is very laid back and mellow. And wondering if two smokers / alcoholics / drug addicts are going to have a healthy child is not "ridiculous" it is quite a valid question.

People worried about Frances Cobain too and you see how she turned out.

From an Atlas of the Difficult World

by Adrienne Rich

I know you are reading this poem
late, before leaving your office
of the one intense yellow lamp-spot and the darkening window
in the lassitude of a building faded to quiet
long after rush-hour. I know you are reading this poem
standing up in a bookstore far from the ocean
on a grey day of early spring, faint flakes driven
across the plains' enormous spaces around you.
I know you are reading this poem
in a room where too much has happened for you to bear
where the bedclothes lie in stagnant coils on the bed
and the open valise speaks of flight
but you cannot leave yet. I know you are reading this poem
as the underground train loses momentum and before running
up the stairs
toward a new kind of love
your life has never allowed.
I know you are reading this poem by the light
of the television screen where soundless images jerk and slide
while you wait for the newscast from the intifada.
I know you are reading this poem in a waiting-room
of eyes met and unmeeting, of identity with strangers.
I know you are reading this poem by fluorescent light
in the boredom and fatigue of the young who are counted out,
count themselves out, at too early an age. I know
you are reading this poem through your failing sight, the thick
lens enlarging these letters beyond all meaning yet you read on
because even the alphabet is precious.
I know you are reading this poem as you pace beside the stove
warming milk, a crying child on your shoulder, a book in your
hand
because life is short and you too are thirsty.
I know you are reading this poem which is not in your language
guessing at some words while others keep you reading
and I want to know which words they are.
I know you are reading this poem listening for something, torn
between bitterness and hope
turning back once again to the task you cannot refuse.
I know you are reading this poem because there is nothing else
left to read
there where you have landed, stripped as you are
.

the poetry never went away. :)

i miss the donuts.

Anonymous said...

Toujours, I miss the original poetry.

It's nasty of you to say "it never went away" when you know exactly what happened. The Fix. The Guidelines. The "poetry is hurting me take it somewhere else".

Yes. The poetry DID go away.

And in case you didn't notice..... Mayo has also said many times that he missed it.

Basically what you are saying Toujour is that it's OKO for you to post poetry but not other people.

Or did you miss all of that.

Anonymous said...

There used to be poetry nights. Poetry contests. Poetry games. Quoting games.

Saying "it never went away" is denying what happened to this place.

And where is the original poetry written by the people here?

Anonymous said...

"the poetry never went away. :)"

So true.

toujours said...

i was saying that there's been lots of poetry lately. saying you miss poetry denies the wonderful poems that have been shared here over these last few weeks.

but yes, i enjoyed the poetry games.

the blog is different now, but it's still a special place to me, somewhere i enjoy spending my evenings, even though many of my friends no longer post here.

What "poetry games" are you talking about anyway?

Anonymous said...

Back in the day there were poetry contests. Conversations using poetry. Poetry anons.

Some people didn't like it and made a big stink about how it "hurt" them and hurt the blog.

Now it's gone.

Anonymous said...

Wait so balically you are saying that it was alright for them to post all the poetry they want. But if Amyranth give not allow to give her opinion on how she feels about that. And that is what I think is wrong with this blog.

To the Snake

Green Snake, when I hung you round my neck

and stroked your cold, pulsing throat

as you hissed to me, glinting

arrowy gold scales, and I felt

the weight of you on my shoulders,

and the whispering silver of your dryness

sounded close at my ears --

Green Snake--I swore to my companions that certainly

you were harmless! But truly

I had no certainty, and no hope, only desiring

to hold you, for that joy,

which left

a long wake of pleasure, as the leaves moved

and you faded into the pattern

of grass and shadows, and I returned

smiling and haunted, to a dark morning
.

I Come Home Wanting To Touch Everyone

"The dogs greet me, I descend
into their world of fur and tongues
and then my wife and I embrace
as if we'd just closed the door
in a motel, our two girls slip in
between us and we're all saying
each other's names and the dogs
Buster and Sundown are on their hind legs,
people-style, seeking more love.
I've come home wanting to touch
everyone, everything; usually I turn
the key and they're all lost
in food or homework, even the dogs
are preoccupied with themselves,
I desire only to ease
back in, the mail, a drink,
but tonight the body-hungers have sent out
their long-range signals
or love itself has risen
from its squalor of neglect.
Everytime the kids turn their backs
I touch my wife's breasts
and when she checks the dinner
the unfriendly cat on the dishwasher
wants to rub heads, starts to speak
with his little motor and violin--
everything, everyone is intelligible
in the language of touch,
and we sit down to dinner inarticulate
as blood, all difficulties postponed
because the weather is so good.
"

mayo,

well, the lightening is almost done (she says to the accompanying rumble of thunder...)

now it's the heavy rain, and though there are flash flood warnings for the area, the sound is still a soothing one.

i've always liked thunderstorms, i know they're dangerous here, hallmarks of much more serious weather, but they still make me excited in just the same way they did when i was a little kid.

there's a fear behind the excitement, an atavistic shiver at something so much bigger and louder. lightening is quite literally flash, but the thunder always makes me feel a little exposed, like the world just became a bit bigger, a bit more unknown, and me, more powerless within it.

but i like that feeling, i don't require a safe world.

when i was in high school, i used to go out and dance in the yard when a storm was rolling in, something in the wind made me giddy. i'd stay out until the first drops fell, and dash in before the lightening began to strike.

now, a thunderstorm hides a different threat, and watching the sky darken today at noon brought up a few new shivers, a few new questions, like...where do i go if the tornado sirens go off?

but i can't be too afraid of the storm. it's too exciting, and too conforting, all at once.

good night, mayo. you can always sleep with the covers over your head, if you need to.

Tonight it is still as I write this but it is the calm before the storm. It is coming, I know, and I welcome the feeling. Like TJ I love storms but then I'm pretty sure you know that by now. Since I am alone I will head out to the field and watch and wait. The gathering storm calls to me. I will leave you with lyrics that fit the mood....

Can you see me, do you know my position how quick is your eye?
I have no home, no reason to roam yet I travel the length of the sky
I stretch my fingers jagged icy white 'till my energy's all around
My clutch is swift, my force is fearful I convey it without a sound
I live to free the skies from everyone, watch me run - watch me

The north wind rises, old man's eyes wondering deeply as he locks his door
He knows the fear when I'm too near him, he's seen me angry before
The black intruding clouds approach as I release a destructive blow
All the crashing, all the flashing light brings terror upon my foe
I fight with force and power for my land
I command the lightning's hand!

Run for cover - Oh your life is in vain if you try to escape me
Don't look back - Oh your wealthy world cannot save you
'Cause I'm gonna break you
I hear them moan, I hear them weep because they feel I belong to the devil
They feel the pain, and will again 'till they stop reaching up for this level
No one will defeat me, no one can
I command the lightning's hand!

Night Mayo

I can wait until machine head does their own headlining tour. Not in a hurry ^_^

As far as majors is concerned, there's not a lot of options for me to choose, so I haven't decided yet. When I was in my last year of high school, I'd thought I do something in the criminal justice field, but now since I'm older, it doesn't seem like it'll be great for me.

But whatever, I'm too tired to think.

no it's saturday so we are all home, have had some guys over to help begin building our pig sty
we are going to keep any small feral pigs one of them catches, between 5 of families, and then share the meat after we grow them out.
As long as you worm them and feed them up for a while they are lovely meat, more flavour and less fat than commercial ones, and virtually free!

but I want a pet one again too

*LOL at herself again*

You're right, sweetcheeks! The full moon is tonight (well, the night of the 9th). The new moon is on the 24th of May!

Some serial killer/wolf I am, eh?

No wonder Sandy Ann was doing so much barking just now.

Anon616 said...

Ohhhhh.... a pet pig!!!! I always wanted one of those, trained to walk on a doggie leash. Of course, people DO think Sandy Ann is a pig when they don't get a close look at her. My poor girl! She's special.
:)

You know I'll want to see pictures of the pigpen and the piggies when you get them, don't you?

Anonymous said...

Sandy ann barks at the moon? Lol.

Anon616 said...

You should hear Tinker Belle! She does the cutest little Yorkie howl!!!!

Billie Jean was a wonderful moon howler at~er. Of course, she was part wolf! Shhhh...

Oh, nevermind the "shhhh". I forgot that in the state of Louisiana you can have a wolf dog as long as it doesn't "look" like a wolf. Our laws are cool like that!
;)

Anonymous said...

Awww.

I hope my dog doesn't become one of those dogs that constantly barks. But my last dog barely never did so this could be a blessing in disguise. Having two pets is like having kids. I have to keep separating the dog from the rabbit when I have to clean or feed it. Sighs.

Anon616 said...

Sweetcheeks: You have to teach Bugsy to howl!!!! You just do!

Search youtube for howling wolves or wolf howls and let Bugsy listen. I can (almost) guarantee you his reaction will be hilarious!!!

I'm lucky. All my furbabies love one another. The pups, the kitties, Miss Bingles Bunny. The all get along.

Miss Bingles Bunny does get "fussy" with Tinker Belle though! I've never heard a bunny "fuss" so much!

Anonymous said...

Lol. I may have seen a coyote the other day not too far from my house. I thought that was neat.

Bugsy seems to think everything is food. He thinks soap and bubbles are food. I caught him licking it off the floor the other day.

Anon616 said...

Ewwww.... poor Bugsy! Yep, when they're pups they think everything is food or a chew toy. He'll learn, I hope!

Where did Ergo go?

~Do you feel like a man when you push her around, do you feel better now as she falls to the ground; well I'll tell you my friend, one day your world's gonna end~

I love the way that man combines the singing/screaming!!!!

Sorry sugarplum, I was off reading some stories

Anonymous said...

I'm off to go do some reading. Goodnight ergo, sugarplum.

Anon616 said...

That's okay, sweetcheeks! You know I can always entertain myself by singing, dancing, doing some backreading!

That reminds me, I believe a saw a request for some original poetry/prose/writings earlier. Since no names were mentioned I suppose it's okay to post some of mine.

Here's one of mine:

I Dream In Nightly Silence

By: WMZ(me)

In the silence of the night
I allow my mind to wander
I envision dark mountains, starry sky,
A lake, a warm fire
And  you……

I can almost feel your warm breath on my skin.
Your fingers touching me so tenderly.
The look of passion's hunger in your eyes;
And I, willing to let you feed.

The aroma of pine and fir is in the air
The scent of winter is strong.
We do not feel the chill of the night;
We give and take freely and it is bliss.

We share it all.
The love and pain.
The hunger and the satisfaction of lust fulfilled.
Knowing neither of us will ever starve.

Two individual beings, two separate souls;
Acting as one  - for a brief moment in time.
Neither trying to conquer, control or smother the other.
Both knowing themselves and sharing all   characteristics of themselves with each other - truly appreciating the differences.

I awaken to the sound of thunder.
Your scent is all around me.
Were you just a dream of nightly silence?
Or, do you  wait for me?

Do you  wait, surrounded by dark mountains -   pines and firs;
Under starry sky, stoking the flames of the fires of love
and passion
Do you wait for one who is true?

True to herself AND true to you.

And, here's another one of mine:

I See Beauty
by: WMZ (me)

Eyes glowing, shining, searching the night;
Some people feel such a thing is a fright.

But I see beauty, devotion, loyalty and love;
The very same things most families dream of.

Through the darkness of night, the cold or the rain;
He'll guard his family, through hunger and pain.

I see patience and wisdom garnered through strife;
Why can't we seem to learn such virtues of life?

Some see a dark predator, a legend of old;
I see beauty, THE WOLF, its spirit, its soul.

Happy Saturday, Mayo!

Haven't talked to ya in a few days, but I hope you are doing well!

I've been sunnin' and singin' this morning and this song just got done and I thought I'd share it with you, so here goes:

Alphabet Pony

He's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony

Phony monkey toy money lose end soda hands
Pink plastic Jesus on the dashboard
Just say it

He's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony

No fun not happy got no money need a friend
A volcano dish on a mountaintop to live it

He's the alphabet pony
Oh he's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony
Oh he's the alphabet pony

Cancel Sunday
Cancel Monday
Don't look at me
I've been running on a no-tomorrow road at great speed
N-n-n-need a punch
A pop a bang
A different song
Like a nice new home
Needs a mean stray dog

Yeah
He's the alphabet pony
Oh he's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony

Oh we go up down
Up down up down town again
We like the walk the talk
Don't stop and fall into the quicksand
Sharp teeth dry heat
Can't breach too many sins
Don't forget my cigarettes
And get something that we can drink

He's the alphabet pony
Oh he's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony
He's the alphabet pony
!

That's my favorite line.

Anyhow, that's about it from here. It's beautiful, it's warm (damn near summertime hot), and pretty close to perfect.

I'm being typically me and that's surprisingly just fine with me. (normally, I would argue about it, but we've been getting along nicely these days)

Figuring shit out which translates into me realizing that there really isn't anything to figure out. It's just a way to spend my time (notice how I don't say wasting anymore, thanks to you for that).

And now I'm babbling and talking around myself in circles. (I like circles, I doodle circles most all the time...flowers, smileys, suns, big circles in little circles in smaller circles, stuff like that).

Spinning myself into...

hmmm, a tangle perhaps?

No, wait...

maybe a dance.

The sun has jerkified my brain. I'll go now.

Miss ya, Mayo, take care of yourself, and oh yeah, there's still that unfinished business of a question...

One day, but when?

Or is it, how? Or maybe, where?

Fuck who and fuck why.

What? Exactly.

Love to YOU Always,
S

KOL anon said...

Hello, all. Another glorious rainy day in East Tennessee. I'm seriously considering building an arc if this keeps up.

In the meantime, I'm here to post some KOL picspam, mainly for KOL 2 because she loves Jared so much. Oh, but also for our lovely email culprit as well, because I know how much you look forward to our posts. ^_~

And now, without further ado (and in celebration of Jared's decision to forego the RPattz hair), I give you...

Jared with his old, glorious hair, which, although he looks adorable, it begs the question, why does he insist on covering up his gorgeous eyes? To which Jared responds, "Make up your mind, Bitch, or I'll go back to the RPattz hair!"

So, I won't complain any more about not being able to see his eyes. I'll just post this, and this, because it's one of my favorites.

Oh, and I'll post this, because I love how it illustrates the resemblance between Jared and Caleb, and this, because it's just a rule that every KOL picspam has to have at least one pic of Nathan.

Have a good day, everyone. ^_^

Jeez, it sounds like you are talking about direct action here, anon.

What are you gonna do-alert the authorities to GWs smokin, drinkin and alleged drug takin and say he will be a bad parent?

or are you talking about something more sinister re direct action?

You are scary and I pity anyone you fixate on!

to farthest corners scattered
the mirror crack'd from side to side?
the mirror's long since shattered.

though swept outside the pantry door
with eight legs much maligned
I lurk in shadows, heard the call
above the black unsigned

against the common sentiment,
against stampeding herds
you called and I return upon
a a network built of words

through devastation of my webs,
and dragging of my sleeves
I bow to you, who know the truth:
that I am She Who Weaves.

I think the quotes were about the shit that goes down here not GW. People turn a blind eye if it's one of their friends doing the attacking. The fact that only one person told Kapu who the regular was that was google stalking her just goes to show that there were others that knew and kept their mouths shut.

For the sisters who asked,
I write this in haste!
I was unsure at first,
but you guys have got taste.

a player, a cardshark
a creole aesthetic,
with a big phallic staff,
and quite fiercely kinetic.

I went there to see
Wolverine's many graces
but left with the knowledge
that Gambit was ACES!

No 3:44, they were addressed to me following a HH, the Dalai Lama quote I put out there about looking at ourselves first before we criticize others.

Not everything is about Kapu although it is not through want of trying, lol.

I want to write, but more than that, I want to bring out all kinds of things that lie buried deep in my heart.

? said...

Your hands are so human,
Their youth and chill astound me to the floor.
I go not by force but to see the light from that angle
and I hide my imperfect smile behind my hand,
avert my close-set eyes -
A thousand other females before me.

Then why do you tilt your head when I talk?
Why are you always seated,
green eyes to the sky?
For this trickster has seen much:
while you were jumping off bridges
I was following the blackest tunnel
to the center of the Earth,
three tails visible in the dark.

I simply have to learn the secrets of my race.
I will hold this pearl of light in my mouth.
You must encounter me alone, at dusk;
Or I will bring rice to you in the name of a god.

If I lead you into murky waters,
will you follow out of desire?
If I never look over my shoulder
my lord, will you follow my fire?
