Showered

Why are my fingers cold
When they trace the back
Of your neck and up under
Your hair? It is smooth and pitch
And I wish it were my own
To push behind my ears
Before falling over your eyes.
Willing, asking it to stay.
Where it stayed...
Your shoulder now holds the ends
Fresh from washing, shiny and wet.
I rest my palm there then drift
Down your arm to your elbow,
And pull you into me. To find a way
To warm my hands that you find
Already warm and willing to stay.

Moonlit Night
Tu Fu

Translated by David Hinton

Tonight at Fu-chou, this moon she watches
Alone in our room. And my little, far off
Children, too young to understand what keeps me
Away, or even remember Ch'ang-an. By now,

Her hair will be mist scented, her jade-white
Arms chilled in its clear light. When
Will it find us together again, drapes drawn
Open, light traced where it dries our tears?

Oh, it is scrummy yummy, Ergo! But I like loooooove my mayo though.

I use it a lot to make creamy dressings, like blue cheese etc. Or with chicken.
but pear is a new one!

Louse love Mayo too. So much it kills them.

Safe way to kill head lice
Many dermatologists now recommend using mayonnaise to kill and remove head lice from kids instead of toxic prescription drugs and over-the-counter preparations. What's more, lice are becoming more resistant to such chemical treatments. To treat head lice with mayonnaise, massage a liberal amount of mayonnaise into the hair and scalp before bedtime. Cover with a shower cap to maximize the effect. Shampoo in the morning and then use a fine-tooth comb to remove any remaining lice and nits. To completely eradicate the infestation, repeat the treatment in 7-10 days.

Other uses for Mayo

Remove dead skin
Soften and remove dead skin from elbows and feet. Rub mayonnaise over the dry, rough tissue, leave it on for 10 minutes, and wipe it away with a damp cloth.

Make plant leaves shiny
Professional florists use this trick to keep houseplant leaves shiny and clean. You can do the same thing at home. Just rub a little mayonnaise on the leaves with a paper towel, and they will stay bright and shiny for weeks and even months at a time.

Remove crayon marks
Did the kids leave crayon marks on your wood furniture? Here's a simple way to remove them that requires hardly any elbow grease: Simply rub some mayonnaise on the crayon marks and let it soak in for several minutes. Then wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth.

Clean piano keys
If the keys to your piano are starting to yellow, just tickle the ivories with a little mayonnaise applied with a soft cloth. Wait a few minutes, wipe with a damp cloth, and buff. The piano keys will look like new.

Remove bumper stickers
Time to get rid of that Nixon for President bumper sticker on your car? Instead of attacking it with a razor and risk scratching the bumper, rub some mayonnaise over the entire sticker. Let it sit for several minutes and wipe it off. The mayonnaise will dissolve the glue.

Get tar off your car
To get road tar or pine sap off your car with ease, slather some mayonnaise over the affected area, let it sit for several minutes, and wipe it away with a clean, soft rag.

Mayo is awesome!
many a handy hint! I must try some of them!!

Kind of like the way I love peanut butter and coke. They both have a ton of different uses like that.

Makes you wonder though about what it does to your insides.

@_@

ergoproxy said...

I was thinking exactly the same!!
if it dissolves glue......O_O

like coke cleaning coins and oil off cement

kinda makes you a bit worried about ingesting it!!

Princess, I haven't folded my damn laudnry either. Eff that junk! I hate it.

Whoop whoop! Aaaaand once againI am buzzing on a tremendously satisfying and superfly fun, ridiculously invigorating workout from Kung Fu. I always feel so YAY when I come home from one of these types of classes. HUNDREDS of punches and kicks. My favorite kicks, the snap kicks, roundhouses, side kicks and spinning back kicks. Side kicks used to be the hardest, but now they are my second favorite kicks after roundhouse ones.

*Sigh*

... Where's that little bugger been? I have this dry patch on my foot that just won't go away..

Anonymous said...

S(S)S, I dunno, this strikes me as something that might appeal to you.

OOBLECK. Okay, maybe you played with this in your science class, but I never did! It's just cornstarch and water. And apparently if you vibrate it in a certain way and blow air into it, it grows "fingers" that take over the entire structure.

WTF, nature? Just WTF?

So neat! And I'm glad I'm back in school and I can understand that this is non-Newtonian, and a colloid. :D

Anonymous said...

Hallo Amy!

ergoproxy said...

oh cornflour is awesome, we used to make it for science demo activities
it's so amazing if you run your fingers slowly it's fluid but if you move them fast it goes almost solid

ergoproxy said...

it is fun to get boys to try and punch lol

hi Amy
hi BC

I am tidying kitchen cabinets, bot I have some crap

Anonymous said...

It is so neat, isn't it? I've never played with it but now I want to.

Amyranth said...

Hallo BC and Ergo!

Don't mind me, just freezing my ass off. :P

ergoproxy said...

just mix it in a container, it's good fun, stir it slow and you can stir it, but try and do it fast and it's like cement, or it drips through your fingers but squeeze it and it's solid

us teachers used to play with it more than the kids!
That and liquid nitrogen - awesome fun!

Hiya Ergo!

So I was supposed to be studying for my exam tomorrow(Still have intention to do so) but I spent some time looking back at the old blogs and I had stumbled upon one of Amy's comments about some questionnaire concerning your plans and what you want for the new year and all that crap.

Of course I changed it to 2009, so I thought it'd be cool to post my questionnaire, so here goes:

Here are your questions for 2009:

What did you get that made you happy?
A Nintendo Wii, Machine Head’s The Blackening Special Edition, and the latest CD from an relatively unknown band called Daath, also Kat Von D’s High Voltage, and some DVD’s.

What did you get that you did not want?
I didn’t get a new phone. It sucks..

What did you lose that you wanted to keep?
My original Buffy Xbox game.

What did you let go willingly and are glad to be rid of?
All of my MCR cd’s, magazines, and merch, and some of my old clothes.

What surprised you in a good way?
That men have feelings. Ouch.

What surprised you in a bad way?
That shitty ass band Limp Bizkit is reuniting, although I think it‘s more funny than anything(This is probably the Second Coming) and that they’re remaking The Crow. I was pissed about that. That men have feelings, and that I should be more considerate, lol.

What delighted you?
A couple of my favorite bands are releasing new albums this year. Oh yeah, winter is almost over. Seriously.

What disappointed you?
I didn’t get to see Machine Head last month, although I heard there was sound equipment problems, so I guess I’ll count my blessings.

For 2009:

What do you hope to get?
Finish my first year of college on a good start, tattoos, a new guitar, go visit either New Orleans or San Francisco, lose weight, take up yoga, and maybe buy a scrapbook.

What do you hope to be rid of?
My emotional baggage.

What do you plan to change?
My room and myself, physically and mentally.

What do you wish you could change, but don't think you can? Probably some of my personality, but it’s who I am.

What do you hope to keep for as long as possible?
My friends, my family, and my health. And my sanity.

Hallo Amy! So has your ass started freezing up or not yet? ^_^

You forgot that everything worth anything connects to Kapunua.

Anonymous said...

I remember because I answered them the first time Kap posted them, I don't even think it was here....

Anonymous said...

Sorry I wasn't taking digs at your LJ, just saying that I think that's where I saw it first?

Anonymous said...

Eh, well, whoever wrote the questions, it's not important. It's an interesting questionnaire to do. They're fun to do.

Ergo, we must be opposites. Even in the bad weather, I leave my computers and TV's on, even though I know I'm not supposed to, lol.

Anonymous said...

I think it's neat when something you write or otherwise make does the rounds somewhere.

Anonymous said...

10:17, that's cool. Yeah, I probably did post them there and then decide to post them here. I do that with a lot of things. :)

Anonymous said...

10:17,

Yep, it's here. It was posted in one of mayo's blogs from last year. That's how I found it.

You can call me K, anon, if Kapunua is too cumbersome to write. I know it's a bit of a mouthful; believe me, people have huge trouble pronouncing it. :)

Okay, no worries then. :)

Welp, I'm gonna go clean up the bird room (I hear Havoc in there taking a bath which means there will be water all over the floor) then watch some TV then get to bed and dream of corn starch in water. ^_^

ergoproxy said...

holy cow I am watching Dr Phil and a guy has taught his 2 and 3 yr old sons to swear, They were dancing about saying "F* you daddy, F* you daddy" and he thought it was funny.
His response was "well it's just me that's what I'm like I can't help it"

and Dr Phil is NOT impressed!!

Anonymous said...

They were dancing about saying "F* you daddy, F* you daddy" and he thought it was funny.
His response was "well it's just me that's what I'm like I can't help it"

*****

That's horrible! What kind of an answer is that???

I was watching an episode of Dr. Phil today about a 14 year old trying to act older than she should. She said she liked to be called a slut because it gave her attention and helped her get guys.

That poor girl definately had the wrong mindset. I felt bad for her. She really believed what she said.

Anon616 said...

*runs in and hugs and squeezes her niece*

Hi Bre!!!! Are you still awake? Let me guess, you just finished your homework!

I saw Dr. Phil too. That was horrible, wasn't it?!

ergoproxy said...

hello bre, nice to meet you

well Dr Phil is appalled and as he said it's funny until the kids end up in school discipline or separate classes for being socially dysfunctional, or they have child services on their doorstep

the household was awful, and the wife wasn't reacting in a helpful way when stuff happened either

but he's arranged for people to work with them at least for the kids sake

Anon616 said...

Oops, hello Ergo, Sweetcheeks, Mayo, SS, various anons... everyone!

Bre: I also heard about that phonecall Sunday night.

*shakes head*

I worried about him!

Anon616 said...

Oh, that's correct.

Ergo: You've never been on at the same time as my niece.

*makes official introductions*

Bre: Ergo, titors... I mean tutors people in math.

ergoproxy said...

hello wendy

poor girl! But it comes from seeing so many celebs or wannabes who DO get attention for it

Anon616 said...

I think you are correct, Ergo! I bet if Dr. Phil had asked her who her heroes where, she would have said Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie!

Anon616 said...

*where = were (up there and all over internet land tonight)*

:P

ergoproxy said...

I will actually be titoring shortly. :]I have my regular plus she should be bringing one of her friends as well.
They are in the same class

Anonymous said...

Ah, hey Nanny! Actually, i'm still studying. I have a Zoology test tomorrow... not cool.
And hello Ergo! nice to meet you too.

But, yea, i was appalled at the Dr. Phil show today. I swear, some of the things that girl was saying scared me. And some of the things she wore... i'd be embarassed to leave my room in those 'outfits' if you can even call them that.

And yea, the call. It was ood, he just sounded... off. I was kinda worried. But he sounded much, much better today though, so i don't know.

Anonymous said...

Hi there Bre, how are you?

Here's my answers to anon's questionnaire(Thanks anon)

What characteristics do you look for in a potential mate (significant other)? Assertiveness, sense of humor, someone who has a good heart, considerable, someone who brings a smile to your face or that can make you laugh when you’re having a bad day.

What characteristics turn you off the most? Laziness, someone who is absolutely inconsiderate or selfish.

What is the first physical feature you notice? The eyes, hair, or smile, or maybe the butt *wink*

What do you think your best characteristics are? Honesty and the ability to make others laugh.

What is your worst characteristic? Probably being selfish and a bit cold-hearted

Which of your physical features do you like the most? My hands
The least? Definitely my stomach

Are you still friends with people you met in school? Not anymore. I lost contact with them after senior year.

What characteristics do you admire the most in friends? Honesty and someone who doesn’t play games.

Who do you admire the most in the world? (living person or people) My mom, or probably one of my aunts because she is one of the few people I can relate to in my family.

What deceased person do you still admire? Dimebag Darrell

Where were you in life 2 years ago? I was stuck in depression.

What has changed since then? I’m starting to become a bit more happier, although there’s still some struggles along the way.

Where do you see yourself 2 years from now? Still in college here, if not, somewhere else probably.

What is more important to you
The past or the future? The future, but honestly, the present matters more because I’m living in it.

What is your greatest fear? Losing the ones I love without getting to know them better.

Anon616 said...

Have fun titoring, Ergo! I hope they're not too much trouble for you!

*smoooooch*

Where did BC and Amy run off to? Are they at Seven's?

I shall go check!

Hi Mayo. Lovely new post.

Hi my friends...its been a crazy ass weekend/start of the week. I was thinking about you all the way. :)

I could use a break...I am back doing quickbooks bullshit, and all I want to do is be done. :)

I read the other questionaire, but for the fuck of it, I'll respond to this one.

What characteristics do you look for in a potential mate (significant other)?

Someone who does not take life too seriously.

What characteristics turn you off the most?

Those who are so into themselves/others physically that they lose sight of all that matters.

What is the first physical feature you notice?

Smile.

What do you think your best characteristics are?

Friends can confide in me.

What is your worst characteristic?

I think too much.

Which of your physical features do you like the most?

That is tough. Maybe my calves. :/
(minus my scars).

The least?

My scars. And my thighs.

Are you still friends with people you met in school?

Which school? I've been to so many. For the most part, yes. Those I've lost are for good reason.

What characteristics do you admire the most in friends?

Musical talent. And those who can make fun of themselves.

Who do you admire the most in the world? (living person or people)

Wow that is huge. Those that can give it all up to help another.

What deceased person do you still admire?

My brother.

Where were you in life 2 years ago?

Not in a good place but okay...working toward something else.

What has changed since then?

Luck. Everything in the right place at the right time.

Where do you see yourself 2 years from now?

The same, just a little bit better.

What is more important to you
The past or the future?

Future. But I always will recall the lessons from the past.

What is your greatest fear?

Failure.

and

Dying without clearing the inventory.

And thanks for the offer Ergo. If i need anything, i'll definately ask. :)

anyway, i should at least pull a B on the test, and that's good enough for me.

You know, this Senioritis thing, i swear it's a real condition...

*yawn* well, i'm going to bed now. Five hours will pass quickly when sleeping. So, goodnight everyone! Love ya Nanny!

Thanks Anima :)

And oh yeah, that prank call thing I did...sighs...Well I was little when I decided to do that by calling 911. I didn't know any better at the time.

Or, that other significant other can just accompany to a concert. That would be great too.

Me too! I always think of those old Rocky And Bullwinkle cartoons. You know, with the girl tied to the train track screaming "save me, oh save me!".

I think I enjoy those much more as an adult! A lot of the humor in those went right over our heads as kids. We just thought the moose and squirrel cute. LOL!

Night BC, Ergo, AkuRoku, Wendy. ♥ to all of you.

ergoproxy said...

What characteristics do you look for in a potential mate (significant other)?

similar way of seeing things, sense of humour, loving nature

What characteristics turn you off the most?

arrogance and self-centredness, also those who feel the need to always criticise others

What is the first physical feature you notice?

Smile/hair so all in the same general area and hands
I never only notice one thing

What do you think your best characteristics are?

I am intelligent and down to earth. I care a lot about my friends and am a problem solver

What is your worst characteristic?

I am very disorganised, can be lazy and I procrastinate

Which of your physical features do you like the most?

my upper body

The least?

my knees, and my short legs

Are you still friends with people you met in school?

a handful, I have reconnected with a couple recently from 20 years ago! I regret losing touch with a lot but that is just life

What characteristics do you admire the most in friends?

confidence calm kindness and graciousness

Who do you admire the most in the world? (living person or people)

I couldn't pick one person, it would depend so much on what aspect I was thinking of.

What deceased person do you still admire?

perhaps Audrey Hepburn, Douglas Adams, and again many others

Where were you in life 2 years ago?

In a slightly less settled frame of mind, but pretty much the same

What has changed since then?

a lot, a new business, a fresh outlook broader horizons

Where do you see yourself 2 years from now?

I don't know, hopefully happy and comfortable

What is more important to you
The past or the future?

the future, though the past is a huge part of what got me to be the person I am today

What is your greatest fear?

losing everything

Ergo, I would definitely be the same. If some guy offered to do those things, what would be wrong by not saying no? :D

Women have evolved so much, but to be honest, a little part of me wishes to have a protector as part of the significant other package. I can be a wimp at times

Each day I go out into the world but I leave just a little piece of my heart here. Silly but I’ve always felt safe doing that. It’s like I go out yet I know you and my friends are here for me if the world proves too much that day and I need shelter.

Lately I’ve needed a lot of shelter and although it may appear I’m not here…I am.

I always have and always will follow my heart.

Take care

Split Enz again! One of the most formidable writing and vocal partnerships was formed by the Finn brothers Tim and Neil. Tim was the major songwriter for Split Enz, and of course Neil eventually went on to form Crowded House. From "Frenzy" this song for you was written by Tim and I think remains a brilliant song (see the ps) the song for SS is the first written and sung by Neil to be released
so here is the song that cemented my love of the Enz

I See Red!

When my baby's walking down the street
I see red, I see red, I see red.
How could someone wicked walk around free
I see red, I see red, I see red.
I see red, I see red
(red!), I see red.

I respect your wishes
You gave me such precious hours
What to do without you.
Squeezed me out of your life
Down the drain like molten toothpaste
I feel used and spat out.
Poor old me

[chorus]

I'm fed up with crying
My despair is dying,
Turning into rage, day by day
Green before you met me
In the pink when you let me love you
I was blue when you let me down
Black and Blue

[chorus]
Go!

sing along
much love EP xx

SS
for you a second song from the frenzy Album by Split Enz, the first written and sung by by Neil Finn (now of Crowded House)it has a lovely theme
"There's a thrill, that you'll never know, if you never try"

Give it a Whirl
I saw you there by the side of the road
You wore long faces and long overcoats in the rain
Waiting for buses to carry you home
Winter wind rushes and rattles your bones, it's a shame

I can see no sign of action in your eyes
There's a thrill you'll never know if you never try

Remember taking a ride on a ferris wheel
And really enjoying yourself, bye bye blues
Remember taking a bet on a race
You faced the future with a smile on your face, win or lose

No, I don't mean to preach, I don't mean to patronise
There's a thrill you'll never know if you never try

Why don't you give it a, give it a, give it a whirl
Why don't you give it a, give it a, give it a whirl
Why don't you give it a, give it a, give it a whirl
Why don't you give it a, give it a, give it a whirl...........

I saw you there by the side of the road
You wore long faces and long overcoats in the rain
Waiting for buses to carry you home
Winter wind rushes and rattles your bones, it's a shame

No, never give up, giving in, it's like kissing goodbye
There's a thrill, that you'll never know, if you never try

Why don't you give it a whirl...

sing along
lotsa love EP xx

ps: the song I See Red was also performed by Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam with Betchadupa (Neil's sons band and guest appearance by Tim Finn
and I think he does a damn fine job!

Hi Mayo,

How are you?

I've just been feeling kind of quiet the past few days. Maybe you can relate.

But, on the upside of things, I just downloaded some Muse to my MP3 player, so at least my ride into work will be nice, right? Fuck yeah!

Oh and just so you know that I'm still rolling in typical Sdock10 fashion, my life is still one great big mindfuck. Ah well, it's probably not nearly as twisted or miserable as I make it sound.

Or, maybe it is.

How the fuck would I know? This is all that I do know which is what really?

Yeah, see...

Love to YOU Always,
S

Guess you missed Joaquin Phoenix's "appearance" on the late show.

Anonymous said...

Or Bill Clinton's "don't blame me" speech.

Anonymous said...

Let me tell you. I hated seeing Joaquin like that. Either he's doing it on purpose for some kind of publicity stunt, which is in total bad taste, and he has to realize that people are going to feel worried about him, OR he is really that screwed up. And if he is really that screwed up, then obviously no one is helping him. Instead they seem to be just pointing at the train wreck.

Either way I'm pissed and pretty upset. He is absolutely my favorite actor and I'm so disappointed.

I hope he stops doing whatever it is he is doing soon. >_>

Guys, I just watched the most amazing thing.

The Story Of Stuff. It's about twenty minutes long, but totally eye-opening and jaw-dropping. It's about the creation of consumerism and what it's done to us, the planet, different nations and the entire world.

It's not some kind of hard to follow, pedantic sort of thing either. This lady narrates it and she is very engaging and she knows her stuff. (She really does know her "stuff!")

It made me feel bad though, because even though I talk about consumerism, fair trade, recycling, and sustainable living, I don't do any of those things nearly as well as I should be doing them. I do try to get less stuff, and I do try to stick with my old stuff (my computer is about seven years old,) but sometimes I do get new stuff when I don't even really need it. And I realize now how much "stuff" I throw away!

Please, please take a look at this short video. There are some links on the page to give you tips and hints about how to do better. I know I'll be trying so much harder int he future.

Anonymous said...

Hmm. I do some of the things listed on the suggestion page. But I don't do nearly as much as I could be doing. I think it's time for me to make some more changes. I feel sort of excited and sort of guilty at the same time, for not doing some of it sooner.

sdock do you have the MUSE sog "Glorious"? it was the b-side to Invincible and it's a fantastic song I was listening to it on the way home and thought I'd suggest it to you
Rose-tinted view
And satellites that compromise the truth
But I wanted more
With the cuts and the bruises
Touch my face
A hopeless embrace

Faith, it drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a strangers love
It rockets through the universe
It fuels the lies, it feeds the curse
And we too could be
Glorious

I need to believe
But I still want more
With the cuts and the bruises
Don't close the door
On what you adore

Faith, it drives me away
But it turns me on
Like a strangers love
It rockets through the universe
It fuels the lies, it feeds the curse
and we too could be
Glorious

Kipling

The Way Through the Woods

They shut the road through the woods
Seventy years ago.
Weather and rain have undone it again,
And now you would never know
There was once a road through the woods
Before they planted the trees.
It is underneath the coppice and heath,
And the thin anemones.
Only the keeper sees
That, where the ring-dove broods,
And the badgers roll at ease,
There was once a road through the woods.

Yet, if you enter the woods
Of a summer evening late,
When the night-air cools on the trout-ringed pools
Where the otter whistles his mate.
(They fear not men in the woods,
Because they see so few)
You will hear the beat of a horse's feet,
And the swish of a skirt in the dew,
Steadily cantering through
The misty solitudes,
As though they perfectly knew
The old lost road through the woods . . . .
But there is no road through the woods.

The Bridge

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I stood on the bridge at midnight,
As the clocks were striking the hour,
And the moon rose o'er the city,
Behind the dark church-tower.

I saw her bright reflection
In the waters under me,
Like a golden goblet falling
And sinking into the sea.

And far in the hazy distance
Of that lovely night in June,
The blaze of the flaming furnace
Gleamed redder than the moon.

Among the long, black rafters
The wavering shadows lay,
And the current that came from the ocean
Seemed to lift and bear them away;

As, sweeping and eddying through them,
Rose the belated tide,
And, streaming into the moonlight,
The seaweed floated wide.

And like those waters rushing
Among the wooden piers,
A flood of thoughts came o'er me
That filled my eyes with tears.

How often, oh, how often,
In the days that had gone by,
I had stood on that bridge at midnight
And gazed on that wave and sky!

How often, oh, how often,
I had wished that the ebbing tide
Would bear me away on its bosom
O'er the ocean wild and wide!

For my heart was hot and restless,
And my life was full of care,
And the burden laid upon me
Seemed greater than I could bear.

But now it has fallen from me,
It is buried in the sea;
And only the sorrow of others
Throws its shadow over me.

Yet whenever I cross the river
On its bridge with wooden piers,
Like the odor of brine from the ocean
Comes the thought of other years.

And I think how many thousands
Of care-encumbered men,
Each bearing his burden of sorrow,
Have crossed the bridge since then.

I see the long procession
Still passing to and fro,
The young heart hot and restless,
And the old subdued and slow!

And forever and forever,
As long as the river flows,
As long as the heart has passions,
As long as life has woes;

The moon and its broken reflection
And its shadows shall appear,
As the symbol of love in heaven,
And its wavering image here.

Speaking of music
Last month, I was in Chicago in one den of political corruption when I decided to take in the musical, Jersey Boys- based on the story of Frankie Valli- great!

That night, I dreamed of 4 other boys from Jersey. They were dressed up in matching jackets, belting out the old tunes. Sherry.. Sherry Baby. It was a funny dream.

Side note- I still like, enjoy, dig MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and wish all the best.

Despite Gerard’s off the wallness and somewhat rash choices, he still hits a soft spot.

I don’t know all the reasons;
I just seem more open to

vulnerability hidden behind a mask of bravado than bravado hidden behind a mask of vulnerability.

I’m off

now we move onto the fifth album, and the first that I was given as a christmas gift, I was 13 and I have the yellow and purple cover version (there were a few) it had so many great songs, the two I choose tonight are not ones that were released as singles, but I think are great. The one I choose for you was the song they began their 2006 tour with as you'll see in the video,(which I was thrilled to go see)

Shark Attack
Loves got teeth and she bites so hard
Leaving you for dead like a deadly shark
And she doesn't leave a lot to be saved

I was swimming in the harbour of your smile
Splashing in the ocean like a child
I didn't know what dangers lurked there
Just beyond the waves
Shark attack!

Well she chewed me up and she spat me out
I didn't want to meet a maneater
Shark attack!

Please don't mess around with me
I'm a shark fatality, in the sea
I'm the one with the bleeding heart
I thought you were a real lifesaver
And life for once would do me a favour
But babys just a butcher, and her teeth are razor sharp
Shark attack!

Well she chewed me up and she spat me out
I didn't want to meet a maneater
Shark attack!

And I'm lost at sea and I'm an amputee
And there was slaughter in the water when I fought her
Shark attack!

Hey!... Hey!.... Hey!..... Hey!!

Shark attack!

Well she chewed me up and she spat me out
I didn't want to meet a maneater
Shark attack!

Well I'm lost at sea and I'm an amputee
And there was slaughter in the water when I fought her
Shark attack!

Shark Attack! [repeatedly]

much love EP xx

SS
this is a great song, never really been sure what it meant, except for a guy in love with an alien woman, but enjoy

Poor Boy
My love is alien, I picked her up by chance
She speaks to me, with ultra-high frequencies
Radio band of gold
Gonna listen til I grow old
Oo hoo hoo

what more can a poor boy do? Oo hoo hoo
what more can a poor boy do? Oo hoo hoo hoo

The crackle of the radio
A message in the evening sky
You're looking at an interplanetary Romeo
I'll never see her face
between us there's too much space
Oo hoo hoo

what more can a poor boy do? Oo hoo hoo
what more can a poor boy do? Oo hoo hoo hoo... yeah?!

Keep losing you...Ooh hoo hoo

what more can a poor boy do? Ooh hoo hoo...
what more can a poor boy do? Ooh hoo hoo...
What more, what more...
What more, what more

What more can a poor boy do?

Mayo,

I had a dream that you had put up a picture on your profile of a bright red apple with worms in it. It was interesting. And, you had also changed your quote to something from Star Wars, which is really strange because I've never watched any Star Wars movies, so I would never have recognized it as being from Star Wars. Ah well...

Just sharing.

That apple/worms pic has kind of left me puzzled.

But what else is new?

Oh yes, Muse!

Too long trying to resist it
You've just gone and missed it
It's escaped your world

Can you see that I am needing
Begging for so much more
Than you could ever give
And I don't want you to adore me
Don't want you to ignore me
When it pleases you
And I'll do it on my own

That's my newest favorite song! It's creepy beautiful wonderful fantastic awesomeness!

Have a great Wednesday, Mayo!

Love to YOU Always,
S

p.s. might wanna check that apple before you bite.
