tic-tac-toe

Nothing provokes me like someone trying to tell me what I can or can’t do. And I am not talking about “Eat your vegetables”, “Take out the trash”, "Don't run a red light", "Don't steal shit", or "Don't stick a knife in someone" (well maybe the red light thing, once). That stuff is important and I get that. What I mean is when someone is attempting to assert control over me, primarily for their own gains or because they consider my actions irrelevant, then I am full-on instigated.

In fact, I can be a bit immature when confronted with authority. A holdover from adolescence, I presume. For the most part, because I am an adult I am able to identify when the limitations being placed on me are legitimate and necessary. And I bite my tongue.

But, nothing pleases me more than to shove it in the face of whatever or whoever attempts to assert unnecessary control over me. Tell me I’m too old to do something, to act a certain way, then you can bet I’ll be first in line. Tell me what I say is irrelevant and I’ll carry on until I find an ear. Attempt to limit my behavior because you don’t consider me worthy and I’ll increase my efforts until you are red faced.

What amazes me is that they (those attempting control) do not understand that their assertions invariably expose their hot buttons. See, now I know what pisses you off and I can be an asshole, so there you go. But, like I said, I can be a bit immature.

Also, I find it unnecessary for someone to belittle a person because their opinion does not run parallel to their own. Typically, name calling will get you nowhere. We are each entitled to our own beliefs, and our opinions will undoubtedly run counter to other's. And if I don't agree, I'll let you know. I'll give you my point of view and perhaps some facts that I may have squirreled away for the occasion to back it up.

Usually this works and we can agree to disagree. But, if you are maliciously handing me my head over and over about whatever burns your ass, then I will most likely ignore you.

That works in two ways. First, I don't hear you any longer. I can continue my life knowing that I made an attempt to express my opinion. And hopefully you now realize you are not going to change mine. Second, I don't hear you any longer.

Then later, under my breath, I'll call you an idiot. And let's face it, if after all that you still think you can change my opinion...well now, we don't need to go there. Just for the record, I won't try to change yours, either. Your opinion, that is.

With all that being said, (and feel free to ignore any of it) please keep in mind that I am a bit of a smart ass. And I have been known to dish out a good natured hard-time. If you poke me, I'll poke you back...sometimes I poke first.

I think I read somewhere something along the lines of...we need to be able to best deal with those things that impact us emotionally, and we need to handle them ourselves. As individuals the decisions we make are what we can control. The rest is up to the rest.

p.s. ask yourself.

Let us, like Him, hold up one shoe and let the other be upon our foot, for this is His sign, that all who follow Him shall do likewise.

5.26 it is a bad thing you don't like it when people tell you what you can't say on the blog why would you do it to others.

Anonymous said...

Yes it is a bad thing. It is proving exactly what Amy wrote. It's posting irrelevant bullshit in an attempt to disrupt the conversation. If you can't see how rude that is then you have problems.

No, no, no. The shoe is a sign that we must gather shoes together in abundance.

No, no! It is a sign that, like Him, we must think not of the things of the body, but of the face and head!

I think that says it all!

Okay, now I am going. :D

Also stop being a coward and tell me to shut up in French.

MJ, the anon wasn't telling you to shut up in French because they are a coward. Their wit was obviously lost on you. You may want to go back and read it again. It actually was quite funny, but not for the reason you think.

Anonymous said...

I was laughing when OPJ was talking about Pepe Le Pew the other night. Because the way OPJ chases after SS, she IS Pepe Le Pew.

LOL true! sorry this needed to be on this page!

Martha Smith-Jones said...

That particular anon knows but because they are having fun it is alright.

If fun is an excuse for people to say what they want than amy was having fun as well when she posted the rules and guidelines. Hell it made her happy because being happy is important as well

Anonymous said...

MJ's principles and courage are obviously lost on you anon. Too bad.

Anonymous said...

And now on to scene 24. A smashing scene with some lovely acting...

Anonymous said...

5:44 you couldn't be more wrong. It would be different if SS didn't feel the same way about OPJ but he does. He has proved it many times to her. If you don't believe that..... Then you are just being blind to the truth.

I actually think they would make a good couple. They are both very passionate and they clearly have very strong feelings to each other.

I really don't care if the anon or you thinks it was being funny. The words shut up were posted underneath part of one of my comments.

I would you feel if I did it to you?

They don't even know each other. SS could be a female for all we know.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

A headache's coming

SS might LIKE her but I very much doubt he feels THE SAME way about her that she feels about him. Unless of course he has fantasies of shoving a dildo up her ass.

Anonymous said...

SS could be a prisoner or something and while i'm sure their "passion is great" it might be awhile before they can run off into the sunset.

Carrie, you're welcome. I thought I'd try to inject something else into this blog. ;D

It would be really nice if people on this blog would put themselves in the other persons shoes.

What you are saying or doing maybe fun and may not seem like it is being done that much but to someone else it might.

We all want to use this blog and have fun. It would be nice if we could all do that together but as my brother would say "and people in hell want ice water."

We don't need rules or guidelines we don't to belittle people or do things that run them off the blog. We just need to act like adults and instead of ignoring the problem we deal with it.

there is no reason no mater how much you don't like someone that you can't try and work out thinks if both parties are willing.

It gets no one anywhere because someone is always going to come in and try to make the disagreement into something bigger.

Because he wanted to.

Because it's his blog and he can do what he wants.

Because it was there.

Because he felt it.

Because he loves valentine's day and wanted to make room for all the valentine's he'll get this year.

He's starting his spring cleaning early this year.

Just some of my theories.

King arthur: Old woman.

King Arthur: Man, sorry. What knight lives in that castle over there?
Dennis: I'm 37.
King Arthur: What?
Dennis: I'm 37. I'm not old.
King Arthur: Well I can't just call you "man".
Dennis: Well you could say "Dennis".
King Arthur: I didn't know you were called Dennis.
Dennis: Well you didn't bother to find out did you?
King Arthur: I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind you looked...
Dennis: What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior.
King Arthur: Well I am king.
Dennis: Oh, king eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society.

Not that you knew there was one, but we had some mangos ripening outside and then they got partly eaten, hubby suggested rats or possums, but to me it looked pecked but the hens hadn't been out to do it.
*cue thought provoking music*
Then this morning when we got up there it was!! the culprit!!!
It was one of our wandering peahens!! And she looked very guilty with a pecked mango at her feet. LOL

Just a few things…

Elena, recently you spoke about your Mother and the loss of her husband, your Father. What you wrote reminded me of a bit I read from Adrian Tomine, called Lunch Break. If you haven’t already, give it a read.

Kapunua, I think that what you are looking for are western (hard science) explanations for how oriental medicine works, you know…the chemistry behind it. Am I right? I have no clue, really. But, if that is the case when you find out let me know.

ergoproxy, Happy Australia Day! I have a friend who will be in Australia in June…wish I could go.

Carrie, I’m not offended, not in the least.

Anonymous said...

Forgive me for saying this, but there is only one problem here and what it all boils down to is people still believing that this is Gerard Way’s blog. Think about it. It’s the reason for all the anon attacks, the conspiracy theories, the endless squabbling and the competition for Mayo’s attention. It lies at the heart of the suspicion, lack of trust and accusations of bloggers trying to monopolize the blog.
In the beginning, Mayo would throw out hints and the Lovlies would all discuss it together. It was a good game and it was great fun. It’s not fun anymore seeing people get hurt over nothing. Yes, it is just a blog but the minute people’s personal information got published and it spilled over into real life with Kapunua losing her job, well that’s when it became serious.
Maybe the answer is that Mayo should come clean. Not buried in a cryptic post or some vague anonymous comment, but clearly so everyone understands. Yes it sucks that he should have to do that, but the sad state of affairs is that famous people attract negative attention. As long as this blog is associated with someone famous, both it and the people here will do the same. That’s why rockstars have things like security folks! Unfortunately the good people on this blog do not.

Kapu:
http://www.howdoesacupuncturework.com/category/western-scientific-explanation

Currently, there is not one western scientific theory that collaboratively explains all of the physiological mechanisms underlying the effects of Acupuncture. This is because Acupuncture has a variety of therapeutic effects on the body thus the action must vary depending on the type of pathology. However it is proposed that acupuncture primarily produces its effects through regulating the nervous system. Regulation of the nervous system aids the activity of pain-killing biochemicals such as endorphins and immune system cells at specific sites in the body. In addition, studies have shown that acupuncture may alter brain chemistry by changing the release of neurotransmitters and neurohormones. These affect the parts of the central nervous system related to sensation and involuntary body functions, such as immune reactions and processes that regulate a person’s blood pressure, blood flow, and body temperature.

In summary, scientists have deduced a number of theories from observing a number of individual clinical effects of acupuncture treatment. These theories and the observed clinical effects on which the theories are based can be summarised as the following:

Augmentation of Immunity Theory - Increased Immune Function & Resistance to Disease

Endorphin Theory - Reduction of Pain

Neurotransmitter Theory - Inflammation Reduction & Promotion of Feelings of Well Being

Circulatory Theory - Improved Circulation & Smooth Muscle Relaxation

Gate Control Theory - Increased Pain Tolerance

Motor Gate Theory - Hasten Motor Recovery from Paralysis

Homeostatic or Regulatory Effect - Regulation of Body’s Homeostasis to Disease or Abnormal Conditions

Bioelectric Theory - Stimulation of cells of tissue growth & repair

Nervous System Theories - Central nervous system, spinal & peripheral nerve stimulation, resulting in some of the above-mentioned effects.

I'm not Mayo but I thought that might interest you.

Carrie said...

Anon, I do kind of agree, and I have defo been all UNMASK UNMASK in the past, but I'm kinda starting to get over it.

Anonymous said...

Thank you so much, anon. :)

Carrie said...

Hey, I just figured out Annie is an Ox! I will have to tell her tomorrow, she will be jazzed.

Anonymous said...

Cool! I'm a water rat, Carrie. What are you?

Carrie said...

I'm a ram. Terry is a horse, and Al is a monkey, that I remember, because when we were in a Chinese restaurant, we started singing I bet you always wanted a Monkey! a la The Barenaked Ladies. Plus, ironically, we used to call her Monkey Girl when she was itty. We had this electronic alphabet board thing, and her fave button to push was "M" and it would go "ooh ooh ahh ahh" and she would giggle her ass off. Oh wait, the monkey sound from the V tech alphabet board should be on my list. :)

Anonymous said...

LOL that is the same thing that Boychild does when he sees a monkey. He's a Fire Pig though. :D

Carrie said...

Oh wait, I guess I meant sheep. I'm a sheeple.

Carrie said...

Oh wait! There's more designation beyond the animal? I didn't even know there was a whole element thing too.

Anonymous said...

I think sheep and ram are the same thing.

Yeah, it also breaks down to the five elements, too! You can check yours here.

Also, depending on the hour that you were born, you also get assigned an element. I was born at 11:05 PM so I am double-water. ^_^

Anonymous said...

I'm a fire snake. Scary how close some of that is!

Carrie said...

Ha, Terry and I are both the Fire aspect of our respective animals, and uh, those kinda did sound like us. :)

Amyranth said...

9:51, so is Mister. And it is scary.

Smoke said...

I'z a fire snake too, Anon! Niiiice! Intensity is my middle name. Muwahaha. ^_^

Just checking in one more time before bed and I saw Mr. Mayo up there! Good to read you, dude! Glad you are doing okay!

Sweet dreams everyone!

Anonymous said...

I'm bigger though.

Carrie said...

Hey Amy! Annie if Fire too, but Al is water. No wonder the poor girl is odd man out a lot around here.

Amyranth said...

Hiya Carrie!

I'm a Water Pig. There, I said it.

Explains my heating bill.

Carrie said...

Amy ha! In that case, I'm thinking Al was born the wrong year, she should totally be a Water Pig.

Anonymous said...

amy, The Pig will know a life filled with serenity and riches.

elena said...

Hello again.

I'm supposed to be working but I don't want to...

*stomps foot and sticks out bottom lip*

Hey Amy, good to see ya!

Carrie said...

Sorry you don't wanna work, Elena, but you look cute with your pouty lip. :)

Anonymous said...

I just spent over 100 bucks on Amazon. O_O Winter boots, a cool lantern, a medical research book, a tabletop fountain pump, and a gift for Boychild.

But really that's not a bad price for the stuff I got.

Anyway, it's about that time! I get to sleep till 8 tomorrow so off I go to watch my DVDs and eat a bowl of cherries.

I will not be at home until well after 9 PM tomorrow, so catch y'all on the flip side!

Mayo, good to read you! That was nifty. :)

elena said...

Well thanks Carrie...

Maybe I'll try this look more often.

Carrie said...

Goodnight K! Amazon is my crack.

elena said...

Night K

Enjoy the cherries

Anonymous said...

Helloo

Amyranth said...

10:01, the serenity is coming. Soon, I hope.

The riches... I think they're on the slow boat from China. XD

Carrie said...

Goodnight K! Amazon is my crack.

Before I fall victim to over-interpretation... ACK!

Amyranth said...

Hallooooooo BC

Anonymous said...

Halllooooo Amy! What are you up to?

Carrie said...

Ha, Amy! And hey BC! I was off answering an email from my brother of all people. We don't talk much.

Original Punk L said...

I put this up at Bollocks but I wanted to share it here too. Take care of each other.

It's true, there are so many angels whose wings, though folded, can open and take flight, reflecting the sun for a brighter day. I love you all beyond measure.

The singer is Allison Moyet, one of the most underrated singers in the world. A beautiful voice, a beautiful song.

S.S., I usually list you separately from Family in my posts, but not this time. You are Family. You are my friend. And you are all loved.

This is what I hate about Mayo. all day since this post everyone has asked him to PLEASE clarify what he said. PLEASE just extend that olive branch to Amy. PLEASE reverse the hurt. Signed in. No sides involved. Just say he's sorry for TAKING sides in the first place.

Now, Mayo signed on. This was the perfect opportunity to say something. Something that would ease the betrayal.

But instead what he did was talk to the same few people.

I don't get it.

I don't know why he keeps doing this.

How is your concience Mayo?

Anonymous said...

Once upon a time, an anon at Mayo's called us "Earth Angels.

Heavenly Mother said that if I remember.

Carrie said...

That was a cool vid, L, I have to admit, I had never heard of her before.

Anonymous said...

i'm not an "earth angel", just one of those watery tarts :)

Carrie said...

Hey anon.

Carrie said...

HA at watery tart.

Carrie said...

And uh, what do you mean by the same few? I'm just asking.

Anonymous said...

tart n.

a sweet fragrant (usually) aromatic pastry filled with various fillings

Carrie said...

Yum, tarts. Okay, off to bed to try to sleep with that stoopid thing again. Luuukkke, I am Your Father. Goodnight, all.

I was reading back and wanted to say something.

9:14, thank you, but please, don't put us in middle of all this. It doesn't matter. This is Mayo's blog and he can speak to who he wishes, when he wishes. It is his decision. I respect that. I no longer assume anything.

Mayo, I hope you don't mind me posting a message here.

Goodnight.

Amyranth said...

I've been buzzing emails too. Sorry!

BC, not bad. I iced some cupcakes today, then ate some icing right out of the container. YOM.

How about you?

Anonymous said...

Mayo, I hope you don't mind me posting a message here.

Hasn't he said OVER AND OVER AGAIN that anyone could post here? Stop acting like a victim.

Anonymous said...

Amy, eating cupcakes? Lucky!

I've just been lazing around the house, doing a bit of cleaning and watching some Van Helsing, nothing much.

Amyranth said...

Goodness, you really don’t know when someone is being polite, do you? She was speaking to our host. Not to you or anyone else here. You chose to twist the words into something else. I hope you don’t do that with other things in your life. You know, take simple and pure words and make them into something ugly. Please stop. She has a right to speak to Mayo in peace.

Amyranth said...

*peeks out from behind the couch*

No BC. I don't usually watch movies. The last one I saw was Quantum of Solace.

Anonymous said...

That's alright amykins. so, what are you hiding from? ^_^

Amyranth said...

*looks around again*

Nothing. I just expected some feed back once I said I didn't see Van Helsing, and didn't watch movies often.

Mister says it's one of the few things he can't understand about me.

Anonymous said...

Lol it's okay Amy. As far as movie theaters go, I don't see that many movies on the big screen.

Mayo

Hey, it was nice to see you in blue today. Glad you had the chance to pop in and say hello. So after you did I zipped over to Amazon and ordered the book by Adrian Tomine that contains Lunch Break. I figured it was only fair I read the story you suggested since, Lord knows, I’ve suggested a ton of books to you. Thanks for the suggestion. My mom, by the way, is doing a lot better. She has good days and bad but then who doesn’t? I just wish the bad ones didn’t come in bulk. At least they always seem to for me. I’ve been having a bunch of them lately and I’m ready for a good day. One without drama. Okay, who am I kidding? I’m living in a house with hormonal teenage girls. Drama is the norm. Flighty, Sunshine and Stormy….thy middle name is Drama

Well I still have a ton of work to do but you know what? I’m thinkin’ I’m just gonna go take a shower then hit the sofa. I haven’t watched Rock Of Love Bus yet and now I’m curious. I should never have visited the MCR site earlier. Ray put up a post saying, “Beverly how could you?” and now I just gotta know what she did. I really liked her last week. She didn’t do shit in the strip club because she stayed true to herself. I admire that. Mr. Looking For True Love, just couldn’t understand it. That dude needs a reality check. But I have to admit he is entertaining. Him and his expensive hair extensions!

So anyway, you take care. Have a great tomorrow.

Night Mayo

Elena (I so need a vacation)

Amyranth said...

BC, I'm not one for the big screen either. I really enjoyed V for Vendetta, but I saw it at home on my TV, and I don't think it would have changed my opinion of it if I shelled out $15 to see it in a cold room with padded chairs and overpriced food in my lap.

Amyranth said...

BC, I think I'm going to head off to bed, I'll see you around later.

Goodnight everyone.

Hello Mayo, SS, Ergo, Elena, Amy, Sweetcheeks, L!!!!; various anons, watchers and lurkers... everyone!

Mayo: New interest? That's interesting! I'm happy to see you have so many new interests. That list is much better than you last! Never stop being interested in new things... Or, is it never stop learning? Well, both are good suggestions, me thinks! I'm glad to hear you've been well.

Elena: Mr. Rock of Love will be playing at The TEXAS Club next month!!!! Rock, Love, TEXAS, Mister.... that's just too good an opportunity to pass up, if you ask me. Just one question. Should I or shouldn't I wear my (pastel) pink, TEXAS PRINCESS hat? Hmmmm....
I have to wear it now. I just have to!!! That leaves only one more question. Should I bring a bag of donuts?
I'm kidding!!! Really, I am!
;)

Sweetcheeks: I'm so sorry you're going to miss Machine Head. Are you sure can't make it? What about Queensryche in May?
How's Killer and the old high school friend?
*huge hugs*

Miranth: Where the hell is my cell phone???!!!! I need my phone. I understand I have funny messages! POOP!

Amy: Iz you busy? Can you come find my cell phone for me? It's hot pink. It shouldn't be too difficult to find ~ one would think!
*le sigh*

Ergo: Happy Australia Day (a bit late). I hope you had a great time at the bbq!!!!
*smooooooooooooooooooooch*
Was peahen on the menu?
;)

Okay, I'm now going back to work on Finland blog #2 and #3. The National Museum of Finland deserves a blog post for itself. I simply could not bring myself to resize some of those photos!

I shall let you all know when they're done!

Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~

Hi PJ, CTV, Fang Bang, DG, MissT, Pixie, Siobhan, KD, EB, DA and BI!!!

PS: Where is Redrum? I have to tell him about seeing his name in big, bold, red lights!

miranth said...

BC - Are you still here? How are you doing with school so far and how are you feeling?

I meant to answer you about my niece - and thank you for asking. She is doing ok, but she is tired most of the time - and when the weather is awful and her cough harsh, my sister allows her to stay home. The problem is that the school is harassing them about the days she misses, so my sister filled out an IEP for her, though she doesn't need any special services. I think its better that she stay home as she's been feeling pretty frail this winter. :( She doesn't need intravenous meds though, so that's a good sign.

EP - also thank you for asking about my niece. :) I answered above. I hope you enjoyed Australia Day :) Did you go to any parades or picnics to celebrate?

Anon616 said...

Goodnight Amy and Sweetcheeks!!!!

*blows night night kisses*

I'll catch up to ya'll soon, I hope!

Goodnight Mayo, SS, Elena, Ergo, L, everyone. Sweetdreams to one and all!

miranth said...

Wendy!!! :)

My nieces lose their phones all of the time. They are found exactly where they thought they were in the first place! They just don't check thoroughly. :) I think you asked about my niece as well. I gave an update above. :) And thank you.

Funny messages are the best kind!

miranth said...

Goodnight Wendy! :)

Anon616 said...

Miranth!!!!!!!

*huge hug*

I have to run now; but, we'll catch up soon, I hope!

Can you consult your cards and find out where my cell phone is? I would appreciate that!
;)

Give your niece a big hug for me too!

Anonymous said...

Hiya sugarplum!!! bye sugarplum *blows kisses*

Hi there miranth *hugs*

Anonymous said...

Sugarplum: It's just terrible! I am going to miss both Machine Head and Cradle of Filth this week! MH is performing tomorrow and tuesday, but I got school tuesday. My heart is breaking anyways, and it didn't help that my TV was playing the commercial for the show the other day either and one of their music videos last night either. I had a feeling Fate was teasing me. Hmph!

I'm hoping they'll come do some shows this summer. Hands down they were one of the best bands I have seen in a long while.

Queensryche is no problem though. I have not seen Killer for so long now, I forgot all about him. I haven't been up to going to the shop in many months. Yesterday was the first time I went back, but I kinda got the feeling he doesn't work there anymore, but I can't be sure.

As for the old high school friend, I haven't talked to him in almost three weeks now. I'm not sure what he's up to.

Miranth: School is going pretty good so far. I go back on Tuesday, but so far, it's been good, which is something I'm glad to hear myself say. I'm sorry to hear your niece has been sick again. Is she doing any better?

And how are you?

miranth said...

Wendy! - I am not sure I am supposed to use the cards for something like that, but if I crack them out again soon, I will try. :) Good luck!

BC - I am glad you are going back and that the problems have been few. It takes a while to get into the groove of doing homework regularly. I've had the luck to attend school for several different courses of study, and I have to say that I enjoyed learning new constructs. I hope you will too. :) Sorry to hear about the dudes. :( I always lose track of them myself. I forget to return phone calls all of the time. :( Even Cleo's pissed at me!

My niece is frailer this winter than she usu is, but she has no infections, so she is ok. :) I am actually doing well, barring headaches and sinus infections. I have some really cool friends and I have been having a lot of fun lately (despite the weather).

I have to wait to move south though, but my friend assures me that if I am patient things will come out alright. I believe her. :) Though the economy is crap down there as well, so she's having trouble. :(

Sorry to run on!!

Anon616 said...

Pssst....Sweetcheeks: We BOTH should have been at the HOB in Chicago last night.

*sad sigh*

Additional pssst..... ORLANDO works for me! Houston also works. I can miss Mardi Gras Day this year! I mean, it's not like I'll be missing all of carnivale!

;)

Tonight In Flames

and, because I love it so much:

Temptation

Goodnight, again, all!

Anonymous said...

Sugarplum, the COF show was last night? D:

Thanks for posting the videos! sweet dreams! :D

miranth said...

BC - Sorry you missed your shows!

Wendy - I hope you have fun wherever you see them!

:D

(And thanks for the links)

Anon616 said...

*runs back in once more*

Miranth: I'm so sorry to hear your niece is having such a rough winter. I think this winter was particularly hard on everyone. My mother got very sick the day after I left for Finland. She was taking 5 to 6 nebulizer treatments daily. Thank goodness my sister and niece were here to take care of her.

Anyway, she is much better now. I hope your niece is better as well. It is great news that she doesn't have any infection!!!! Let her know I'm thinking of her and sending her hugs and smiles!!!!!

I'm sending them to you too! Take care of yourself and keep having fun! Yes, that's an order!
;)

As for my cell phone, I understand. Heck, losing it t'was no one's fault but my own. It's around here, somewhere! I'll find it. I'm determined!

Anon616 said...

*okay... ONE more time*

You're welcome, Miranth!!!!!

PS: We have jobs galore down here! Come south, Miranth. Come deep south!

Anonymous said...

I'm glad your niece is getting well somewhat, and you too miranth.

I've had coursework since the very first day of school, but to be honest, I don't really mind that much, and plus I have a syllabus, and I think it makes it easier to know what assignments you have to do in advance, so it's cool.

I'm kinda sorry about the guys too, but what can you do? I've never been good at the subject of men, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon, although having a small crush on an older man is good enough for me for now ^_~

When do you plan on moving to the south?

Anonymous said...

BC - Sorry you missed your shows!

------------------------

Thanks miranth. Me too. Last time I went to go see Machine Head, a man there offered to buy me a drink. He was about 35. That was the day I spent $40 on margaritas and got a cup of Jag spilled on me by one of the band members. Good times.

Me being a mischievous sneak, not one of my friends knows about the mystery man, hehe.

miranth said...

Wendy! - :D There are jobs in Louisiana? There isn't shit in the resort town my friend just moved to (in Florida). You are bereft of snow down there, though, and I don't know what I would do if I weren't spending most of my free time shoveling that stuff ;)

I am sorry to hear about your Mom, but glad she is feeling better now and that other family member were able to help out. It has been a rough winter and it ain't over by a long shot, I fear.

I will send the hugs and smiles along, thank you :) and I send YOU some too. You can never have too many! :)

Without consulting the cards, I know that you will find your phone - and soon! :) I haven't done any readings in a while. :( I must bring them out again!

*hugs*

PS - I checked out some of your show pics - very cool. Please let us know when you post new ones!

miranth said...

BC - I love when you see a show and have a story to tell afterward. Much fun! The mystery man sounds cool and at least you know you have the same taste in music!

I think its fun to have crushes. Whenever you and I have conversation on the subject, I always remember my last crush. He's a good friend to me still. Brings a smile to my face. He's a sweetie! *blushing profusely just now* :)

Following the syllabus is very important. Also when they ask you at the start of classes if there are any questions about the syllabus, make sure you ask any that occur to you. The syllabus acts as a 'contract' in an educational setting, or so I have been told. You can also hold the teacher responsible for the statements made therein. Very important.

:) Don't mean to sound so serious!

miranth said...

Oh, forgot, I don't know when I am moving. Everything's up in the air, but I am cool with it. :) I miss my friend soooooo much though. :((

PS - Who/what is the heavenly mother referred to round here? Did I miss something? I miss Angel lots and lots. She was very sweet. :)

elena said...

Okay I just gotta add this....

So fuckin' what Beverly kissed the drummer? Mr I'm Looking For True Love runs around kissing every pair of lips he sees. Double standard much?

Okay, I gotta stop watching this shit but damn it's such a guilty pleasure.

Night All

Anonymous said...

Thanks M! That's what I love about shows. I try to make it sound like a story instead of a review so it won't sound boring or anything. I am itching to go to a next show sometime soon when the weather permits.

I'm really curious to know what it's like to be a roadie. I think it'd be cool.

Crushes are fun indeed, I admit, hehe. The new one has these really pretty blue eyes. I don't know why, but I love blue eyes. Hee.

Thanks for the syllabus tips! I wish you the best of luck with your moving too miranth. I hope it goes well :)

miranth said...

Goodnight and sweet dreams elena!

I think I will retire too. Quite tired.

Anonymous said...

Elena, it's Rock of Love, isn't it? Bret Michaels is such a manwhore, I would really like to stick my foot up his ass because I don't think no one should fight for a piece of garbage like him. Ewww.

Sweet dreams!

Night Miranth

Sorry I didn't get to chat with you. Been a long time since we've gotten the chance to talk.

Take care

miranth said...

:) BC - Thank you! And you should try being a roadie one summer or something similar - just for the experience. Seeing the shows would be so much fun and I am sure you would have cool memories to reflect on later. I wish I had done something like that in my youth!

I am about to sleep.

I didn't catch up on the comments though and my eyes are crossing just about now!

Anonymous said...

I enjoyed talking to you miranth. Goodnight and sweet dreams :)

Anonymous said...

Thanks miranth. My initial plans, hopefully while in my third year of college, I want to do some sort of internship at a record label. I'm curious to know what goes on behind the scenes, with the producing and all of that.

when I originally got accepted at the art school in chicago, my major was going to be music management, but the tuition was way too expensive, so I decided not to attend.

Sweet dreams! :D

elena said...

Oh I don't know, Bret does have a certain uh...oh hell I don't know how to explain it. He's kinda hot in a weird way. But yeah he is a manwhore no doubt.

I guess I am off for the night as well. Goodnight everyone.

Anonymous said...

Yah, looking for his true love my ass. I know what Bret's looking for. He's gettin' it too!

At least he doesn't hide the fact he's a manwhore. Gotta give him credit for that.
^_~

miranth said...

BC - It was wonderful to speak to you too BC! I am trying to catch up a bit, still. :(

You should try to pursue it in some capacity still. If you don't follow your dreams at least as a hobby, you may not be very happy. And I wish you to be happy.

elena - I haven't watched Rock of Love in forever, but I never found him attractive (in the least bit!!!) till I watched and he was kind to people or said something that took courage, etc. I found him the tiniest bit attractive after that. I was kinda shocked actually. :)

miranth said...

Anons - Is it proven he's a manwhore?

:D

It's proven Miranth. It's proven. Just ask Pam Anderson.
