Good Morning!

Anon, I like the new Doctor as well, I think he's fun.

5:52, the Scarlet Woman blog moves so fast and it was last week, I can't locate the link. But she did put the same thing on her own LJ (http://shonagonchan.livejournal.com/). I only skimmed the LJ one but it looks like the same exact.

Personally... I'm happy for her and I understand the need to get it out in the open. I missed most of that back in the olden days and never knew (or saw) the whole thing with screen caps.

WOW.

Good evening =)

6 Sept 4:10pm, No worries and please do keep chiming in. I love that word chiming. =)
Everytime I look at Matt Smith I see Wallace, minus Gromit.
And roll on ep5! =)

Ergo, I'm picking PSY to take out best video at the MTV EMAs, and Super Junior to take out Best Asia-Pacific Act, then the Worldwide Act. But first they're up against Hangeng (China) who is a former Suju member. Drama ensuing amongst the Suju fandom! Is the world ready to see a 10-14 member boyband on stage? lol

I hope everyone is well. =)

ergoproxy said...

Hi PP! I am astounded by PSY's popularity, I think his video is one of the most fun I have ever seen by anyone, I do hope he wins.
It'd be great if it heralded a greater interest in Asia pop too, there is so much talent and that it's not just a fleeting novelty.
Super Junior are great, I am listening to Spy over and over.
Have you seen G Dragons new one Crayon? That's a bizarre clip!

Have a great week!

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

PP said...

Hello =)

That's a bizarre clip!
Ergo, you are far more polite than my intial, and ongoing, reaction to both the song and video. Stinks worse than Amorphophallus titanum.

Those poor policewomen in England. There are some complete psychos out there. =(

ergoproxy said...

Good Morning!

Lol PP, a great summary! Him as a woman is just.......disturbing

I saw on the news about those policewomen, just absolutely awful, it sounds like a completely deliberate ambush.Beggars belief!

PP said...

Hello =)

Him as a woman is just.......disturbing

LOL, Ergo...and just a little hot. I love the hairclip! He needed onehere.

My little girl is back from SK!! Loved it - even with the typhoons. She wants to go back again. You know what she took the most photos of...? Ancient ceramics and folk villages! I adore her. =)
She says that at her SK school Athletics Day they had the stadium playing music the whole time - Big Bang, PSY and for some reason TVXQ's very old Balloons. Continuously. She also saw Dal Shabet performing a free mini concert on a street.
She is my K-pop Padawan. =)

Korean chopsticks are soooo thin O_o

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

lol PP sucks when a guy looks better in a frock than you do!
I think those K-pop band members have the most abused hair in the world, it goes long, short, wigged, extensioned, bleached, coloured and that's the boys!

I'm glad your girl had such a good time, i was thinking about her wondering how she was going (esp seeing the weather, but we had a typhoon in Hong Kong once & they are so prepared it was amazing)
A school sports day with music would be great, pump you up to perform.
How cool she saw Dal Shabet, I didn't recognize them by name but when I saw the clip I knew I'd seen them before. I often remember bands by songs or their videos if I don't write down the names, there are so many!

Hope you all have a good week. =)

Hi PP! I saw that news report yesterday. That would surely be an odd place to find an eel lol

PP said...

Hi Ergo. =)
That would surely be an odd place to find an eel lol

Yes, haha! The mind boggles. OMG I really hate eels. They're so slimey, and then they creep out of the streams and across the grass. UGH!!!
We're so proud NZ doesn't have any snakes but I'm pretty sure Lonely Planet will now include a warning about our eels lol.

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

I got bitten by an eel once, on the big toe, it left grooves in my toenail! Lucky it was only a small one.
They do taste good though done by an asian bbq resaurant, lol But they are so disgustingly slimy. If we ever catch one it's easier to cut the line than try to get them off.

A few years ago, when we drove through the Blue Mountains, I was sooooo tempted to take the Bathurst turnoff. =)

PP said...

Great Holden vs Ford ending, Ergo!

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

It was a very tight race! Well done Holden!!

You should, if you get the chance, go through Bathurst, you can drive the circuit as it's open except for race days, though there is a speed limit. Hubby did it in his old EH wagon many years ago. Said it was a difficult drive even at normal speeds.
Did you see this last year? Darrell Waltrip from the USA taken for a drive so funny

PP closet rev-head said...

Hi =)

You should, if you get the chance, go through Bathurst, you can drive the circuit as it's open except for race days, though there is a speed limit.

Really?! Your husband did it?! OMG, I really would love to do that!!
A few years ago I was down in Hamilton and the streets were all ready for the big race on the weekend. Pit lane garages and grandstands were up and the starting grid was all marked out. I couldn't believe we could drive around it. It was very tempting to bolt it. I was sooo happy. You've done one of the street courses too, haven't you? =)

I haven't seen that lol. And he was a professional driver! =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

He said it was a real thrill driving it, they recorded it as well they were making car noises sometimes too lol

I've driven around the Townsville course, it's a street circuit. Then when you watch them race, the V8's, porches, and the GT's (ferrari, maserati, BMW etc) you cannot believe the speeds they get to and haw hard they break for corners. I am astounded there are not crashes constantly. Gives you a real new appreciation of their driving skills.

We have new chicks hatched too! I think there are 7 or so and another egg cheeping. The mum is getting up though so fortunately I have another clucky I put the unhatched egg under. There are 2 more eggs as well but they may not be fertile. I didn't candle them all while she sat as the mum is a bit bitey lol

ergoproxy said...

PP said...

Hi there. =)

amazingly windy here today, might get blown over to you!

You weren't wrong there, Ergo! It came straight across the Tassie. Birds flying backwards, long-haired dogs sporting side partings, and the flaming 4m high ventilation pipe blew off the outhouse toilet. I'll be leaving that nice little job until tomorrow!! How was your place?

Happy weekend, everyone. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Blew some chairs across the veranda but no damage.

(ooooh Crayon just came on, I really love that song now!)

Yesterday it came in quite cool from the big cold front/low complex from the south. Last night we could even breath out mist!
Beautiful clear days though.

Hope your weather eases up too so you can fix the pipe (what a bugger!) and style conscious dogs can rest easy with their chosen hairstyles.

PP said...

Hi there =)

All the people who get follow up comments sent to them must be getting tired of us lol!

And I was wrong! Hangeng beat out SuJu for the Asia MTV EMA category. Fandom got split badly. Now he's up against Gotye for Asia Pacific? Bye bye, Gotye, sorry. You're only up against Hangeng, all of China and most of Asia!

Ergo, I still can't warm to Crayon lol, but Kimbra's Come Into My Head has grown on me. =)

Last night we could even breath out mist!
Beautiful clear days though.

Craziness! But perfect. =)

Hope you all have a good week. =)

Hey Miss10 got a video request on SBSPopAsia this weekend! She was very excited to see it played.

PP said...

Oh, well done to Miss 10!! Very, very cool. Who is she liking at the moment? =)

ergoproxy said...

I'm going with Epik High "Don't Hate Me" and BigBang "Love Song"

PP said...

Hi there =)

Congratulations USA on some very good results, including the Missouri voters for showing Todd Akin the back of the door.

Hi Ergo. Orange Caramel is fun! Charli still likes Aing and Magic Girl but she hasn't heard Lipstick yet! Is that the Japanese or K version?
Ah! You're liking YG Entertainment groups. PSY is from there too. =)

Happy Hump Day everyone.

Wow as in exciting news? or Wow as in people still hang around here? =)

Ergo, she's so cute! If you get Pops In Seoul they have a weekly dance segment where you can learn popular k-pop dance moves. Ooh, found it on youtube! - TTS Twinkle Daniel (Canadian) from Dalmatian takes it. Plenty of good dances down the side!!

And former SuJu member Hangeng took out the Worldwide Act MTV EMA. SuJu fans celebrating everywhere, whilst SM Entertainment is cursing at kicking him (and JYJ) out of the company years ago haha!

Eclipse tomorrow. Neat. Mind your eyes everyone. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Thank for the link PP, I saw the EMA wins, good on them!! Psy has been putting up heaps of pics with himself and celebs from the night, he's having a ball.

Just saw the eclipse this morning, we didn't get the full totality here but the daylight dimmed to like dawn intensity, watched through a welding helmet, very very cool to see.
(though the venus transit was possibly a bit cooler as it was so rare)

ergoproxy said...

Eclipse, about 10 mins after maximum

We didn't get the full eclipse as we are further south, a very cool morning

PP said...

Hi Ergo, that's a great photo of the eclipse!! Excellent use of a welding helmet! =)
We only had 87% coverage and the associated temperature drop, but nothing half as cool as Cairns or yours. Pretty neat though.
I'd love to be one of those eclipse stalkers that zoom around the world chasing them. =)

I think it's probably one of the best ways to get the message across though. People have done "shock" ads so this is a surprising change that people will pay attention to.
And song gets stuck in your head - it should go national I think

Hello people. =)

It's The Hobbit film premiere day down here today, so the country has gone a little nuts. The weather has just been presented in costume and Elvish.

Hope everyone is well. =)

PP said...

Oh, and 'Hobbiton' on the map is actually the Matamata film location. I walked around it a few months ago and was able to stand in a round Hobbit doorway. It was very cool. =)

PP said...

Wow, is Flo Rida trawling k-pop for inspiration these days?

Presenting Troublemaker - a sub unit of Hyuna (4Minute/Gangnam Style) and HYun Seugng (BEAST)released Nov 2011, with their single of the same name. Yes, their video is Mr and Mrs Smith style.

Then Flo Rida - Whistle. At first I thought, yeah, familiar. Odd though for another whistling song to come out so soon after.

But then, BAM!, Maroon 5-style make over, but similar themes, lyrics and composition going on with Olly Murs/Flo Rida - Trouble Maker

*side-eyeing Flo Rida right now*

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Rather coincidental music isn't it PP!
Though I hate that Whistle song so much, it just irks me.
The other sounds so much like Maroon5. it's fine if musicians use the same ideas and sounds but when it's so close you'd think it was actually the other bands song it's a bit much.

Have you seen the teaser for Caffeine? Looks like a cool MV
So much effort goes into the MV's for songs in asian pop

ergoproxy said...

Oh I saw the Hobbit stuff on Sunrise, looks like it'll be great. Such amazing locations and sets as well

PP said...

Hi there. =)

Ergo,
The full Caffeine MV is out now. =)

So much effort goes into the MV's for songs in asian pop

Some are abolutely mindblowing O_o
Hehehe, we've been around k-pop too long... MVs,CFs,PVs lololol.

It's interesting watching Cube Entertainment these days. Their artists are really pushing into the market held by SME, JYP and YG. Their break out star, without a doubt, will be A-Pink's Eunji. BEASTs Junhyung will become their next Shinsadong Tiger. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Cool PP! I will watch it later, teaching this morning.
Some MV's are so sad too. Bigbang's Haru Haru is a weepy and FT Island's Severely.
I am loving B1A4's Baby Goodnight, they are so cute dancing. Though when you translate the song it's not very nice!

PP said...

Because I walk a lot I've found many things over the years and dropped them off at the local police station - money, eftpos cards, watches, wallets, purses... But, today... today takes the cake. I picked up what appeared to be a full bag.

Condoms.

The bag was jam packed full of condoms. Pretty sure no one is going to be claiming that from the police lolololol

PP said...

Hi Ergo. =)

Yep, they do sad lyrics well. JYJ's In Heaven was written for a friend of Jaejoongs who took his own life. It's heartbreaking. Their MV took a different approach, but still sad.

Sorry. Got sidetracked looking at JJ pictures lol. Jaejoong is flawless. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Well PP what a find! You do wonder what the person thought when they got wherever they felt they'd need a bag stuffed full of condoms and discovered it gone...
"Damn!!! Now we'll have to postpone the orgy!!"

*I do hope they were unused - otherwise EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!*

Did you see the 2012 MAMA Awards last night? I watched the live stream. Fantastic performances from Epik High - Don't Hate Me as a Batman tribute,BigBang with Crayon mixed with Fantastic Baby and Super Juniors set - especially the Mr Simple bit were my highlights!
I'll find the link of winners for each category for you.

ergoproxy said...

Bah, can't find a list so here's the Wiki Page
It's updated with this years awards already

PP said...

Hi there. =)

Yep, Ergo, I watched the Mnet live stream also! Timezones though. UGH =)
The Joker make-up job on Tablo was amazing and GD dying his hair from blonde to red during the show?!?!
LOLed at ExoM and K doing Mirotic but still using TVXQ's Changmin's and Junsu's vocals on the backing track.
So pleased for SJ and BB, and K.Will was so good live!

OMG it's so hot today. >_<

PP said...

*I do hope they were unused - otherwise EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!*

The outside of the bag looked a little bit...stained. Triple bagged it for the trip to the Police Station Lost and Found!
I explained to the Police Officer that I thought it unlikely someone might come to claim it, but it may be the owners only safety in their job and that they might not be able to afford more, and that safe sex is important lol.
The PO poked around with a pen, and confirmed the contents indicated the owner was most likely a working girl. Possibly one of the more strange items they've had handed in, judging by the Station mirth. O_o

PP said...

Excellent! Annoyingly laggy, but I found Adam Lambert's MAMA performance. He's so fab and talented I still can't figure out how he didn't win AI.

ergoproxy said...

good morning!

Adam's performance was great and those afros in the band - wow!
To me he was far more worthy winner of AI. He has such a great stage presence.
I think it was a brilliant awards night too. The performances were so good and many went for almost 10 mins. I also loved how when winners were announced they all bowed to each other. Went till midnight over here on the live stream, I was a tired little bunny yesterday!

Ergo, hot enough for you, up there, yet? =)

Hmm, that Lambert link is gone, but this one is way better.
And Krystal from f(x) presenting. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

It's pretty damn warm PP! We haven't had the really high heats though compared to down south and west of us where it's been over 40C
We've been up around 36C which isn't unusual in summer but not this time of year.
our house is on stumps and set up with big verandas and can catch all the breeze, we don't have air conditioners. I feel sorry for all the people who build those brick boxes, it's so wrong for our climate.
They didn't build homes called Queenslanders for nothing!

ergoproxy said...

PP! hope the tornado that hit wasn't near you, your girl or any other friends or relatives, scary stuff! Hope you're all ok. So sad for the people killed.

ergoproxy said...

We've been up around 36C which isn't unusual in summer but not this time of year.

Wow!!! I wonder how much warmer it will get then?!

our house is on stumps and set up with big verandas and can catch all the breeze, we don't have air conditioners.

Great designing for your conditions!
Our early colonials weren't so clever so most of our heritage homes are freaking freezers in winter and sweatboxes in summer. And they're made of wood - which rots in the ever persistent rain. But we love 'em. =)

We're all good thanks. It took out the Whenuapai Airforce Base married couples housing though, which is a bit rough because those guys know those houses are the only things keeping their families safe when they're deployed. =(

ergoproxy said...

Good afternoon!

Hi PP, glad you're all ok, saw the damage on the news, so awful for those poor people.

It's cooled down a bit again now, well, if by cooled you call going from 36 to 32 lol but that's normal temps, we get a great breeze here so the veranda is a good place to spend a lot of time. So glad we built it onto the house

PP said...

Hi there =)

If anyone is interested in seeing The Hobbit, my girl saw the first screening of The Hobbit at 12:01am this morning in HFR 3D. We have the film a day earlier down here.
Forget any negative reviews you may have heard. She's a harsh critic sometimes but she said The Hobbit is very good, and that her jaw was in her lap the first 5-10 minutes! And even with the bad angle seat she had it didn't create any HFR 3D viewing problems.

Hope you're all having a good week. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Good to ear PP! I was thinking of going to see it over school hols.

I went to see The Saints, The Stranglers and Blondie last night. Fan-fricken-tastic concert!!
All of them were great. Chris Bailey of the Saints (only original member) is still a great performer and his songs are good rock with really good lyrics.
The Stranglers still rip up a stage with loud hard rock, talk about a full on performance then came Blondie. Debbie Harry is 67!!!
Looks awesome still, sang straight for just over an hour, still can belt out a tune, sang all the old hits and dances around just like she used to. Chis Stein is a mean guitarist, and the other band members were all brilliant. An amazing night.
my 75 year old father flew up to come with us and he had a ball (though The Stranglers are not quite his style - he likes Golden Brown and Always the Sun but the rest is a bit heavy lol) he's a big Blondie fan and was standing up at the stage with us dancing along!
I'll add some pics to my blog so you can have a look PP (and anyone else)

We had my Dad up since tuesday for the Blondie concert, school presentation night Wed (miss10 got an achievement award badge) and on Friday my cousin-in-law came up with his brother who's come over from Cornwall to experience Australia (he first came for their wedding last year for a week but only around Brisbane)
So we went fishing on Saturday, the sunday went clay target shooting on a friends place, then I drove Dad to the airport, then I met the others at the town pool for a swim then back home and we had a pork roast in the campoven.
So a lot of doing stuff. The guys have continued up north and will drop back with my cousin as well on their way back in a couple of weeks.
We aren't going away this year but we've got 2 lots of other friends travelling down too, so they'll be visiting as well. It's a busy year this year!

How's your Christmas prep going?

Ergo, Blimmin heck! Glad I was sitting down when I read all that lol. I'd still be prostrate. =P
And congratulations to Miss10. She does so well. =)

How's your Christmas prep going?

Er, strangely enough not very far at all and not even freaking out yet. Then my oven packs up today and it seems all stove technicians are booked out or not taking bookings.
Also, first xmas without Mum so everything was never quite right to begin with. *shrugs*
Could be a bbq this year! =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

BBQ sounds good PP, keeps the house cool and taste delish.
My stove packed it in a couple of years ago, had to use the BBQ for about a month for everything, that was a challenge1

We had a bit of drama yesterday, a grassfire started about 2km up the road, either a cigarette or a kid was seen in the area, I hope it wasn't the kid, that's just terrible to think. It was hot, dry and windy, heading for our house one front and other houses the other front. Got our rural brigade, plus 2 others sent trucks plus a red truck (normal brigade) as the other house was in real danger. Stopped it about 500m from our place and fortunately the wind dropped and changed direction sending it into the hills. All black and everything smells of smoke but everyone and everything is ok.
Really praying we get some rain soon!

ergoproxy said...

That will damp out anything left of the fire, they had to go up yesterday again as it flared up at the base of the hill beside us, luckily it was a small patch surrounded by already burnt grass, but we we're looking at having to watch it for days, now it's all going to be out - phew

Happy New Year, everybody! =)

One day ago NZers were still on Summer Holidays at the beaches and lakes, getting sunburnt and heatstroke.

Today it flooded and snowed. In summer. Roll on 2013! =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

Hiya PP! Snow??? We had a hot dry Dec, up to Xmas followed by rain and minor flooding as well.
Then on jan 2nd it's cleared up to be beautiful but now there is heatwaves and a cyclone off the coast that can't decide what it's doing!

Hey PP! I won 6 Kpop albums in a contest, 2x Bigbang,2NE1,ExoK & ExoM and GDragon
Such great albums plus the whole packaging is incredible!

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

PP said...

Ergo, that's Fantastic Baby! That's a great selection. How did you win them?!! =)
Kpop packaging is amazing, isn't it. No point having a CD rack with Kpop lol. Cards, photobooks, posters...and never a conventional plastic CD case shape.
BTW if it's the Big Bang Alive metal case, it corrodes pretty quickly! My cat walked across mine, with goodness knows what on her feet, and now I have brown prints etched into it lol. As for the BB Special Edition white box, I'm not going to say how long it took for me to figure out that it was a push release hidden drawer >_<
Love to know what you think of ExoM and Exo K. I think ExoM has the vocal edge, but K seems to get all the media attention. O_o

Did you see Skrillex recently asked Gdragon how to get hold of TOP? Don't know how that is going to work. Speaking of TOP, IRIS 2 is starting around Feb13!

And have you seen JYJs Jaejoong's solo MV Mine yet? Mr Ballad has gone J-rock. =)

PP said...

Oh, and hi, everyone. =)

Happy Australia Day!!

ergoproxy said...

I don't have Alive as a 'real album', I was thinking of getting it so I'll keep that in mind.
One of a Kind is a fantastic album, probably my fave of them all. The posters, cards, photos etc are amazing, so much stuff to pull out then 'oh here's the CD!'
I haven't listened to the EXO's enough yet so I'll do that and let you know
I won them just as a random winner. If you voted in the 2012 awards the show was putting together you went in the draw. I was watching the show and they got to the last category - Best Boy Band and said it was BigBang then suddenly my name was on screen and she announced it too!
Couldn't believe it! I asked Miss10 - did you see that?? It was me!!!
I had it recorded (the New Year Show was 4 hrs from 11pm) and was watching the next morning so I rewound it to be sure lol
Skrillex and TOP?? That would be interesting. Unsure how it'd go but certainly curious.

I haven't seen Mine yet, it's on PopAsia tomorrow though.
Wish Iris was on here somewhere.

We just had 3 days of torrential rain, 454mm in 2.5 days. Fortunately not any damaging flooding but some scary winds, you'll probably get today's stuff on your news, places south copping it now are getting tornadoes and water spouts as well as flooding.

I love a sunburnt country.... and all that :/

PP said...

Hello =)

Happy Australia Day, Ergo!!
Couldn't believe it! I asked Miss10 - did you see that?? It was me!!!
That is awesome! How lucky that you were recording!! =D
Ooh, I just looked up GDs One Of A Kind. That is very, very, cool packaging!! They put so much effort in.
Skrillex and TOP?? That would be interesting
Mind boggling. But then again Missy Elliot has already done a recording with BB and Jill Scott has just become a fan girl of GD and TOP. They're starting to get some attention. =)
We just had 3 days of torrential rain, 454mm in 2.5 days.
OMG that's bucket loads. I was hoping you weren't being affected. And now tornadoes down south?! What happened to your summer heatwave? Crazy weather. =(

Hope everyone has a dry/warm/snowless weekend. =)

P.S. Jaejoong is flawless. >_<

And Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year, everybody. =)

Hmmm, Kate Winslett, with her new husband, is back in NZ, visiting Peter Jackson. They go way back, from Heavenly Creatures days.

ergoproxy said...

Happy Lunar New year to you too PP!

They did, I would love more bands to tour over here, it's not very far and there is a big following as we have a large asian population as well as fans from other nationalities as well through shows like PopAsia.
There was a festival coming up in Sydney but it got cancelled. Be good if they actually tour, it's too hard to fly to Sydney unless they were all at one gig.
Miss10 (almost 11) is learning Japanese in LOTE this year and her teacher, a younger guy asked them things they new from Japan. He had a buzzer for wrong and a bell for right. She asked if it could be a singer, and then said Kyary pamyu Pamyu and he went "ding ding ding ding" lol

I do love how celebs can walk around Oz and NZ so casually. Keith Urban went into a McDonalds in Gympie and it was just like "oh hey Keith" lol
Well done Gotye on the Grammies too!

Go Miss10!! She's a quick thinker! It's so cool to learn languages so young. Some of it always sticks still years later. Has she discovered AKB48 or Yamapi yet? Amy and MJ were into J-pop/rock weren't they? =)

Keith Urban went into a McDonalds in Gympie and it was just like "oh hey Keith" lol

Hahaha!Very laidback.

Gotye did very well. It was a great night for him.

And this is where I go squeeeee! because AZIATIX have got themselves a US record deal! Not too sure about Billboard calling them a Korean boyband though lol
Double AZIATIX woohoo!

Hope everyone is well. =)

All the models were aged 65-92 for Karen Walker's whole campaign, when the average age of her customers is early 20-30's. They look fabulous!

Waiting for my order at my teeny-tiny local, Fish and Chip/Chinese Takeaway tonight, a customer in a black Chef's uniform walked in and placed his order. He turned around and I saw it was NZ's top silver service, fine cuisine Chef, Tony Astle.
There is no pretension in New Zealand lol

OMG, yes please, Ergo! I can't believe the amount of rain you are having dumped on you. What's going on?! We're so dry down here, most of the country has been declared drought zone. =(
And we've had open fire bans for all summer. No BBQ's!!!!!!! It isn't summer without blackened steak!!

Leaving MFBTY - Sweet Dream. I had to listen to it twice because the video is kind of distracting, but it is very catchy. Three hip -hop/ rappers momentarily diversifying. 2 Korean-Americans (Tiger JK and Yoon Marie AKA Tasha).1 NZ-Korean (Bizzy).

Hope your week is going well. =)

Oh, yeah, and Anthony Jeselnik just made NZ's most hated list for his beyond offensive shark joke about the swimmer who was killed here a few weeks ago. What a waste of space. >_<

Hope everyone has kept free of colds this winter. =)

Oh, and for lovers of Top Gear, James and Jeremy have been filming here this week. An airport photographer was overheard asking, who is the messy haired looking guy? Take a bow James.

Jeremy raced in a Toyota Corolla against America's Cup yacht Oracle, from the Coromandel, to 90 Mile Beach in Northland.
Special mention goes to the lovely Ngati Kuri kaumatua who excitedly spilled the race result on the news lol
And they did a speed test of what looked like a surfboard shaped car.
Loves me some Top Gear. =)

Okay. Bye. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good morning!

hi PP, I love Top Gear. We had a lot of press on them when they were here too, esp allegedly Jeremy saying they'd never come back, courtesy of an associate with a big mouth lol

Spent a huge weekend this weekend, picked up a girlfriend from Brisbane on Friday, along with seeing Motley Crue arrive on the same plane, then Saturday was at the biggest concert ever held here with local Brizzie band Diva Demolition, Thin Lizzie, Motley Crue and KISS!!!!

Unbelieveable!!!!
It was absolutely fantastic. Never been a fan of Motley Crue but their show was incredible, Thin Lizzie did Phil proud with their performance (still 2 original members)Diva Dem. have a great sound & I hope they go far then KISS...well what can you say?
Explosions, fireworks, flames, blood, sparkles, platforms - they can still belt out a song and put on a show!

Give me a few days PP I'll add some photos on my blog. I was about 30m from the stage as it's only a football stadium and holds about 12000 (and was full)
Promoter said this morning that both Motley Crue and KISS had a ball doing the concert and loved the area and said the crowd was one of the best they'd had (MC played 2 extra songs they didn't do elsewhere as they were enjoying it so much)
Plus he said international promoters were very impressed by the organization and the crowd support the concert got.

For now, here's a pic taken by their official photographer.

News article

In the crowd photo you can't see me, but I am just above Gene's left shoulder beside the lighting/sound tower.

PP said...

Good morning everyone =)

Wow, Ergo! It sounds like you had a fabulous weekend. =) That was a huge event for a town that size!! Well done to the local promoter and the residents for getting in behind it. Everyone looks like they are having a blast. I did look for you in the first pic. I failed at Where's Ergo lol
Isn't it strange how your opinion of a group can change when you hear them live? Sometimes it's extraordinarily disappointing and other times it can be like wham!, why did I not like them before?!

Explosions, fireworks, flames, blood, sparkles, platforms
Say what? blood?!

Looking forward to seeing your photos. =)

Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

Bye MCR :(

Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.

12 years wasn't too bad, was it?

And because my girl is temporarily at 46.4250° S, 168.3100° E, with limited internet, she just wanted me to add how much she enjoyed their music and being able to talk with RT and GW at Big Day Out Jan 2007, and with FI at the airport Dec 2007. They were nothing but kind and polite to her. =)

ergoproxy said...

Good afternoon!

They sure played a big part in a lot of people's lives, it's a shame it has to end but it'll be good for them to be able to branch into the new parts of their lives ahead. I have always thought life as a band must be terribly difficult and you'd miss out on so much with your friends and family.

PSY's new video is being filmed this weekend for his new single 'Gentleman'. He has re-written it over 30 times. Noh Hong Chul (elevator guy), and Yoo Jaesuk (yellow suit) will be joined by Haha, and Ga In from Brown Eyed Girls.
Ga In is at 0.57-1.12
He's trying too hard. =(

And my big girl is working in an old, freaking haunted hospital. =( Can't wait for her placement to end there. Creepy sightings and sounds galore for Elena and her friend, though! All the reg staff are like, "Yeah, seen/heard those, but avoid this place because...." =(

Hope everyone is doing well. =)

ergoproxy said...

Interesting to see what Psy does, he's under a lot more pressure than before but i hope he does what he enjoys, not try to please a western audience.

Wow a haunted hospital! You'll have to get her to write down any experiences so she can keep them for future stories.

PP said...

Hi Ergo =)
The audio is now out on itunes. THe MV is released at everyone's local time, midnight. =)
Mother Father is Korean slang for motherf**ker/ing. Kids are going to be singing this in the school yards.
*side-eyes PSY*

Wow a haunted hospital!
Yep. There's one really freaky one in particular. The staff often see a 1950's male patient that hung himself. But he is only ever seen behind them reflected on metal surfaces. *shivers*
One former children's ward sometimes has the sound of female staff talking and walking up the corridor. That's not too bad.
She's getting used to old solid office doors opening and closing on their own when she's the only one on that floor.
And that's not including the lights in abandoned barricaded wards going on and off, and other stuff.

Oh, and F(x) are here this week filming a programme. They might head over to your shores next.
OMG this song used to annoy me so much when it came out. Then it earwormed. I have no shame. =)

Hope everyone is well. =)

PP elaborating said...

...after his concert in Korea, 13 April. Then it's the midnight deal, thing around the world.

PP said...

I'm just watching the livestream of PSYs concert and they showed the MV for his new song, Gentleman.
And then he sang it live.
I laughed.
Quite a few times. =)
I think he may have created that rare thing that is a reasonably good follow up to a huge hit.
And start moving your hips and butts to the sides, people. =)

PP said...

Oh, and now we know why Ga In appears. The main hip dance move was first seen in Brown Eyed Girls Abracadabra. 0:50sec =)

PP said...

Oh!! PSY's released it immediately on youtube!!

PSY Gentleman

=)

ergoproxy said...

Gosh that sounds pretty haunted! It'd be cool, until I got scared lol

I like Psy's song, I saw part of his live concert but couldn't watch all of it at the time.
It's pretty clear what he's saying, lol it's damn catchy. Wonder how it'll go mainstream, if people accept he's not a cute song performer (as you can see from his earlier stuff he's quite explicit) and wasn't going to just recycle a Gangnam Style fluff song. The MV is funny, lots of laughs.

I must admit I love Electric Shock, I was the same initially but it grew on me. Have to see where they turn up over here, if they happen to try the Whitsundays I'll be there! lol

PP said...

Hi =)

Ergo, It's such a creepy hospital! They now have infestations of cluster flies in the hospital staff's residential floor's bathroom and sitting room. It's like The Amityville Horror. She laid out over 100 little fly corpses, after a general I-can't-take-this-any-longer-massacre, and posted a public service announcement notice saying EXTERMINATE. And the off duty surgeons, coming in to watch telly, didn't even notice.

I like Psy's song, I saw part of his live concert but couldn't watch all of it at the time.
Live streaming is amazing, isn't it? I couldn't believe it when they even had English subs for his youtubers. =)

Are you off to the Whitsundays? They look like paradise. =)
