They said you said what I said to you

Your subtlety lacks finesse. Either it is, or it isn’t.

And, we know it is.

But it is incomplete, isn’t it. What is it that was left out or held back?

Well, let me remind you.

Fear at all hours of the day and night. And, I couldn’t breathe without suggesting abandon, so I suffocated from repression. Then, managing the never ending time spent attempting to quell your irrational needs killed me. It was never enough, the time, the attention, the truth, so I finally caved. Yet, the debate continued. And, you couldn’t stop me or make me change my mind, and that infuriated you. But, instead of pushing so hard you would have been better off just killing time.

But, I relent and you suffer delusion and sometimes it was the other way around.

It was like this; there, assembled from misery, denial and frustration, we produced an alternate reality. Can we just admit that it was unnatural? Not quite forced, but awfully close. If so, then we’ll leave it at that.

In the end, it was finished. I’m surprised we held out as long as we did.

And yes, “it was grand, and we have the pictures to prove it.”

Now it’s just shit and we are both shoveling.

p.s. while hiding beneath the window, crying.

Hello L,

I hope you have been feeling better.

(not 3:58)

Original Punk L said...

Anon at 2:14 to 2:20, you can try, but it won't work. I can assure you that J. is not going to play this game. She is better than that.

Anon at 3:58, did you have a point in re-posting that?

L.

JocelynHolly said...

Thanks Ergo. *hugs*

Hey Opal! How are you feeling?
Just a lot of crap that's piling up. I made a huge mistake which may or may not have lost me a friend. I don't know yet because we aren't talking.

Anonymous said...

i agreed with it?

Original Punk L said...

Thank you 4:00 anon. I am feeling better, thank you. I will be going back out of town again tomorrow, but I will be back soon. How are you?

Hey Ergo! Did J. tell you we got your package? Thank you so much! Is there anything from the South that you want to request for next giftee?

L.

Original Punk L said...

Bubbles, I'm sorry things are rough right now. True friends will understand, it may just take them awhile. Is it something that you think can be worked out?

L.

JocelynHolly said...

I think it can be worked out. It was a huge mistake and never should have happened. Things are just kind of tense and awkward right now between me and my friends.

Anonymous said...

Oh, Paper, I'm sorry you're having "one of those turns."

It usually means that doors are about to open, though. ^_^

JocelynHolly said...

I hope so Kapunua! ^_^
I'm crossing my toes and fingers and tongue for exactly that!

I've been better L, but tomorrow is another day.

Glad to read that you are much better. It's nice to read you here too :)

oh no idea L!
she did say and you're very welcome

PH just give it time, and be open whenever they are ready

Original Punk L said...

Bubbles, here is part of a song from The Offspring's 'Have You Ever'. It may ring true for you too.

Have you ever walked through a room
But it was more like the room passed around you
Like there was a leash around your neck that pulled you through

Have you ever been at someplace
Recognizing everybody's face
Until you realized that there was no one there you knew
Well I know

Have you ever buried your face in your hands
Cause no one around you understands
Or has the slightest idea what it is that makes you be

Have you ever felt like there was more
Like someone else was keeping score
And what could make you whole was simply out of reach
Well I know

When the truth walks away
Everybody stays
Cause the truth about the world is that crime does pay

So if you walk away
Who is gonna stay
Cause I'd like to think the world is a better place
I'd like to leave the world as a better place

Original Punk L said...

Anon, I hope you feel better soon. Anything you want to talk about?

And thank you for your comment. It seems strange, I feel like I've not been on here at all in so long. Sometimes holed up in my room upstairs, sometimes sitting with my coffee and just listening, sometimes packed up and gone for a few days, but thankfully, the lock hasn't been changed on my room.

L.

I hate situations like that, PH, it just puts my stomach in a huge knot. I hope soon you can look back on it without feeling badly.

ergoproxy said...

at least I'm finishing up 2 of my 4 days a week at the school, and I didn't take the other 3 day contract.

It would have been good money but I'd have no time with afternoon tutoring as well

ergoproxy said...

haha that looked random

PH unfortunately it's part of life, we've all been part of it
you can at least learn what not to do
but hopefully it'll sort out after tension eases

Original Punk L said...

Has the teaching and titoring wore you out, Ergo? It sounds like you have been really busy lately! I kinda miss the days when I had too much to do, but somehow, ran around and got to everything. Now, I go with good days or bad, and do what I can. J. says I make her tired watching me on good days, because I tend to overdo it a bit! :)

L.

Anonymous said...

This probably means nothing to anyone but me, but I just got an incredible red Chinese satin shirt, gold phoenix Chinese gown with long sleeves, and a long black Chinese jacket with a mandarin collar for about the price of a week's groceries (sixty bucks) from a company that does not use sweat shops, and the shipping is free.

O_O

Anonymous said...

Well youre right about nobody caring.

ergoproxy said...

it is a bit J , not the doing it, but our workshop is flat out and hubby working late most nights, if I'm at work all day then titor an hour+ in the afternoons, and the animals, the housework tends to slide, as well as having to get the business stuff done, get to the bank , groceries etc easily
I could do it, but I'm not one of those rush about and get exhausted women
I can't see the point if I have no time to enjoy anything

ergoproxy said...

that was cheap K, good find

I got a nice black satin top with a pheonix and flowers embroidered up the side from a thrift store

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the concern L. It's just something I have to work out myself :)

Kapunua, I like your fascination with all things Asian.

Anonymous said...

4:24, speak for yourself.

Original Punk L said...

I know how that feels, 4:26. But there are some good listeners here, so anytime, ok?

Ergo, true, the money is nice, but if you don't have the time to enjoy it, and are run down, it's not so good.

Here are a few signs of "When It's Time To Start Worrying"

1. The dust in your home has grown limbs and has developed their own language.

2. You notice every meal you serve has the word "Happy" and a toy with it.

3. You drop things on the floor, meaning to pick them up later, until you notice your daughter has to use a compass to find her way out of the house.

L.

Vivienne said...

Hi guys ^_^

Original Punk L said...

Hey, Cupcake! How are you? I read your comments earlier. Has your Grandfather been doing better since he got home?

L.

Anonymous said...

That's awesome, Ergo!

4:26, thanks; I can't explain it. I don't know what draws me to things Oriental and tropical. There are styles I distinctly dislike as well, such as American Colonial, nouveau, and the "farmer chic" that all my friends have in their homes. (Decorations with apples, daisies and roosters. O_O ) It's cute but it's not what I go for. I wonder what it is that gives us our tastes and sensibilities.

Anonymous said...

What kind of stuff do you like?

Vivienne said...

Hello L, it's lovely to see you.
He is doing ok I guess. It's more my Grandmother I'm worried about right now. This is so much for her to take on, I don't think she realized how hard it would be, physically and emotionally.
Anyway, how are you? and how is J?

Anonymous said...

Kapunua,

I'm not into tropical, but I definitely lean towards things Japanese inspired :)

I like their aesthetic and style. I think their language is very beautiful too.

Anonymous said...

It looks like a giant red eyeball!

O_O

Hi peeps! I'm about to leave work. See you guys later!

ergoproxy said...

L fortunately none of the above.....yet

hello CC!

K I tend to go with asian inspired decor, but mine is more the island style, warm colours, wood and carvings, stone, teracotta etc

ergoproxy said...

hey smoke have a good day

cool pic, it looks like the lord of the rings thing - brain is not engaged for thought right now, getting ready for work

Anonymous said...

Princess, I've seen that one, isn't it awesome? It's like Sauron's eye!

Anon, I absolutely agree re: Japanese aesthetic. I just love everything about it: their music, language, poetry, art, the ideas of mono no aware and pretty much all that stuff.

Humor's a little weird sometimes, though. O_O

Vivienne said...

Hi Ergo, how are you?

And forgive me for not saying earlier: Hello Kapunua, and hello Anon. I hope you're both well.

Original Punk L said...

We are doing pretty good, Cuppy, thanks! I am leaving early in the morning to go to my parents, my Mum is having a procedure done tomorrow, and I wanted to be there and stay with them for a few days.

I hope your Grandmother will be alright. I know this has to be such a change for her, and for all of you. They are lucky to have such a caring Granddaugter.

L.

ergoproxy said...

best wishes for your mum L. hope it all goes smoothly

Original Punk L said...

Thanks, Ergo. I think it will be fine, but I want to be with her anyway!

Cupcake, "Granddaughter" not "Granddaugter". :)

I need to to for a while, but I will try to catch you guys later tonight.

Mayo, I promise, I will write you a proper hello and comment later tonight, and SS too. So don't change the lock on my room, ok? I still have a BUNCH of shit in there!

Anonymous said...

Cupcake, I'm peachy, thanks. :D Though obviously spending too much money in one day. O_O

Anonymous said...

Hello Cupcake. Hope you are well :)

Kapunua, their humor is unusual, almost child-like. Then again, I think the whole culture is based around a youthful mindset.

I think the artist Takashi Murakami translates these themes as well.

ergoproxy said...

bye L good to see you again
take care
xx

CC it will be hard but make sure your gran is never concerned about asking for help, and make sure you explore every avenue of respite care and home help you're entitled to
there is actually quite a lot out there

Vivienne said...

Oh I know all about that K!... I have an unfortunate talent for it.

Thanks Anon, I'm pretty good. How are you? I'm finding the conversation on Japanese culture very interesting. ^_^

Ergo, quite right. We've been offered a lot of options, which is good.

Anonymous said...

Takashi Murakami, whoooa, I just googled. Very eye-popping!

I agree, it is a culture based on youthfulness, but not in the same way that America is. It almost seems (to my untrained eye) that in Japan, youth is retained through fashion, humor, actions, accessories and stuff like that rather than through surgical procedures. And I think by and large they also respect old age, too, whereas in America we kinda tend to brush older folks off as "used up" which I think is weird. Because old people rule.

My favorite Japanese artists are Amano and Hiroaki Samura. Amano can be pretty eye-popping, too.

Anonymous said...

Cupcake, have you ever been to BPAL on the net? Oh my gosh, their scents are orgasmic. If I was rich and insane I would buy so much there. As it is, I buy about a scent a year.

Anonymous said...

And I think also I am getting a guzheng (a Chinese koto) for Crimbo, too. O_O

ergoproxy said...

bye anon CC and K

Vivienne said...

Bye bye Ergo ^_^

MissTottenham said...

Hi and Bye Ergo, have a great day.

Hi everyone, how are you all?

K, that's great news on the hula teaching. I'm so happy for you.

Elena, I'm so glad your daughter is OK. Some things bleed more than others and the sight of all that blood must have really panicked you both. So glad it wasn't too serious.

Amyranth, I really hope they manage to catch that psycho guy. That's scary.

L, I hope your mum's treatment goes well. I am sending my good vibes her way.

Vivienne said...

Hello MissT, how are you today?

Anonymous said...

Oh, it's Misty! Hello! ^_^ And thank you. :)

MissTottenham said...

Hiya K and CC.

I'm good thanks CC. How are you sweetie?

You'll kick hula ass K.

Anonymous said...

I sure hope so. I'd better get back to practicing. O_O

MissTottenham said...

Swivel them hula hips baby.

Vivienne said...

I'm good MissT, I've finally gotten around to watching Schindler's list.

Anonymous said...

Haha! I wonder what dances I will teach. I hope I get to teach old people; they tend to really get the feeling behind the dance.

MissTottenham said...

That's a great film CC.

Don't they make all schoolkids watch that film these days?

MissTottenham said...

Sounds cool K. Old people can be really cool. You gotta love em.

Apart from the miserable moaning ones that push to the front of the bus queue hahahaha!

Vivienne said...

It is, MissT. And yesterday I re-watched Hotel Rwanda, another film that I think everyone should see. It's just heartbreaking. I hear they're having the same problems over there again, I wonder if this time the UN will actually intervene.

Anonymous said...

LOL, too right! ^_^

Well guys, I am off for a shower and some early X Files watching; I have to get up early tomorrow. It's Boychild's adoption finalization. :D

See you guys later! ^_^

MissTottenham said...

I must admit that I've not seen that one CC.

I should prob do that.

Parts of Africa are in the commonwealth so in Britain we get to hear lots about their problems on the news. It's never ending. Who knows how to solve it though.

MissTottenham said...

Nighty night K, have fun with x-files and have fun tomorrow.

Vivienne said...

Have fun K, take care. ^_^

MissTottenham said...

Oh I forgot to say to PH that I really hope you and your friend make up. I can't imagine anyone being mad at you for long sweetie.

CC, have you managed to look into care packages for your grandad?

Vivienne said...

Well MissT, I doubt we can. I don't think blundering in there and telling them what to do would really help. But the situation in Rwanda, between the Tutsi and the Hutu... it was genocide and when it happened everyone just pulled out. All foreigners were pulled out, and the Tutsi were left to defend themselves. No one helped, they were just abandoned.

Vivienne said...

We have MissT, that's all sorted now. Someone will be coming in once a week. It was my Grandmothers choice and she wants to do as much of it by herself as she can.

MissTottenham said...

Your grandmother sounds like an amzing lady.

I hope they help is good. She can't do it all alone.

Yeah, the world troubles. Should make us all relalise that we have things good but it's still easy to moan about our lot in life.

Vivienne said...

She is amazing MissT. There are a lot of strong, and caring women in my family, women who I really look up to. We're all doing our best to let her know she's not alone.

MissTottenham said...

That's good CC, you've all gotta help each other in situations like these.

So, what you been doing with yourself lately sweetie? I hope you've been finding some escapism.

Vivienne said...

Well mainly I've been catching every single virus in the area. lol
I think my immune system is kind of shot. Other than that, a lot of writing. I always do a lot of writing.. music, stories, poems.

MissTottenham said...

Ooooooo don't give me any viruses, I've had enough of phlegm to last me a lifetime.

Writing sounds like a good way to escape. I'm more of a reader than a writer. I've been doing a lot of that since I've been ill.

If you write that much, you should think about trying to get your poems published.

Vivienne said...

I'll do my best not to pass it on. I decided to be unique and get tonsillitis as an adult a few weeks ago. That was a trip...

I do love reading as well. I've kind of been ditching the usual parties and bar hopping in favor of staying home and reading lately. I don't think I'm in any shape to be drinking.

I'd like to get some things published, eventually. One of the many things I'd like. ^_^

MissTottenham said...

Oh no, tonsilitis as an adult is supposed to be horrible. Are you OK now?

You should go look into the publishing thing. Would it be easier to get poetry published than stories?

Vivienne said...

Finally getting over it, but for a while there... ick. It came on so suddenly too. One moment I was fine, the next I was pretty much delirious.

I'm not sure which would be easier...
I should look into it.

MissTottenham said...

You should look into it for sure.

Yack to illness. Everybody is coming down with bad stuff lately. At least it's not that bird flu that was supposed to have killed millions of us by now.

Vivienne said...

Ahh yes, Bird Flu... I think that was one of the many things i was paranoid over for about five minutes. Pandemics are probably one of the scarier things out there. War, pandemics, natural disasters. But there's something about viruses and diseases that I find particularly scary.

MissTottenham said...

Well, it's been rememberence day here on the 11th and we remember all war dead but it's mainly for the first world war. But it's staggering that at the same time that millions were being killed in the war, millions were being killed by the spanish flu.

So many people.

Vivienne said...

Yes... so many people killed, so many lost their loved ones, their whole lives must have must fallen down around them. I can't even begin to imagine..

MissTottenham said...

And it all happening within 4 years.

So much death all around the world in such a short time.

Mind you, it was the same with the plague.

It's kind of like natures way of dealing with over population. It's as though when things get too crowded, a virus appears and kills milions.

I get worried cos the worlds getting a little overcrowded again. Makes you dread to think what's coming next.

Vivienne said...

Yes, and I always think, even if it's not in my lifetime, what if I have kids? what about them, and their children. Eh, I'm getting ahead of myself, but one can't help wondering sometimes.

MissTottenham said...

I wonder too and if you read the papers it's all doom and gloom.

Although I do think that a lot of this global warming stuff is crap.

Yeah, we shouldn't pollute but also a part of climate change is because the earth goes through cycles and warms up and cools down.

We had the same weather patterns in the 17th century and was that global warming?, was that pollution? Nah, it's all natural.

It's disgusting how politions try to tax us on natural events.

Vivienne said...

The media thrives on doom and gloom, as politicians do. Keep people afraid, keep them in line.

MissTottenham said...

Exactly, it's all about keeping us down and afraid.

Man, we could do with some good news sometimes.

You turn on the TV and it's all murder. This year seems to have gone crazy. It's as though they've poisoned the water or something.

Vivienne said...

I know what you mean, it's getting ridiculous.
I'm trying to keep a fine balance between watching the news enough to be informed, and not watching it enough to be convinced that the world has gone to shit.

MissTottenham said...

Totally.

You wanna know what's happening but it's just so sad.

I really hope next year will be better.

It seems like all the bad stuff that is happening is spreading all over the world so what was over there is over here and vice versa.

Vivienne said...

It seems that all over the place this has been a year of unfortunate events, and change... many things. It's been a scary year.

But I'm determined to make this a good Christmas, and start next year with fresh hope.I really think we have to, what else is there?

Remember last Christmas here? the gifts of the Blogbelieve Magi? And I remember people talking about their various traditions, and what food they were making. I really hope we can do that again.

MissTottenham said...

I agree CC, that's what we are hoping for too. A nice christmas and a better new year.

I remember last year. So so many blog gifts. I hope it will be just as friendly this year.

We could do with some Christmas spirit in blogland.

Vivienne said...

Christmas traditions have already started for my family. Today my Mother is baking the first Christmas cake, she always does it early as they need to be sprinkled with brandy every day for a few weeks before eaten. ^_^

MissTottenham said...

Sounds cool. I like traditions.

My nan used to make christmas puds too.

Never liked them myself. Can't be doing with mince pies either but I'll scoff down most other crimbo foods.

Vivienne said...

I'm with you there MissT, I can't stand eating them, but Christmas wouldn't be the same without them around. So I'll even be learning how to make them, though I never eat any. lol

Martha Smith-Jones said...

miss t hello

Vivienne said...

Hi Martha, how are you?

MissTottenham said...

Hahahaha good for you CC.

My nan always used to get a few fruit cakes in (which I also don't like) and add a bit of booze to it.

Then it was a tradition that her, her daughter and my mum would do the marzipan and icing topping.

Now, I did like the marzipan and icing topping and of course, me and sis were always around to catch the bits that dropped off.

Though, I don't think it was appreciated when we pointed out that certain parts looked like they would fall off so we'd better save them the trouble and pull them off and eat them.

You'd be amazed how many bits were obviously ready to drop off. hahahaha!

MissTottenham said...

Hiya MJ sweetie, how are you?

Vivienne said...

Aww that's such a sweet story MissT. ^_^
I love little memories like that. I really am looking forward to Christmas, I'm one of those people that feels the need to play Christmas carols 24hours a day, and deck not only the halls but anything that will stand still long enough. XD

Hi, Mayo

How ya doing?

Let me tell you a strange dream I had last night, but only remembered about an hour ago. It was strange because you were in it and I rarely think of you nowadays, so I don't know where the dream came from really or why I had it last night.

I won't go into a lot of detail about the dream, only that I went to a party at your house. There probably a couple of hundred people there, but it was like no one really knew who's party it was. They were just there for the party.

Anyway, I wandered around the place and finally spotted you, sitting alone, in an obscure and quite corner. We ended up chatting and talking about how most of the guests weren't even aware of what they were doing there. We hung out together for the rest of the evening and I even met your mother. Strange...

But, the overwhelming thing about the dream was the feeling that you were really so sad, lonely, and unhappy inside.

That's all I remembered of the dream... So, anyway, when I remembered having the dream, I had to come here and see how you were doing... And I find your new post... And it is a really post...

I hope you'll be OK, Mayo. I really do.

mya said...

that was supposed to say, "and it is a really sad post"

Anonymous said...

im sure he is not as sad as the post makes out.

Carrie said...

My outdoor kittens are sad.

mya said...

The dream just bothered me...

Anonymous said...

who were you dreaming of mya?

Carrie said...

I thought she said Mayo, or were you trying to get her to put a face to the name? :)

mya said...

Did you read my posted comment about having a dream?

Anonymous said...

yeah. how did he look like in your dream mya?

mya said...

This just reminded me of that movie Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins were in, Meet Joe Black...
Remember at the birthday party when the Joe asks her, "Who do you think I am?" And she goes through all this emotional stuff and finally answers, "You're... You're Joe."
Mayo is Mayo.

mya said...

Anon, he looked good, that's how he looked.

mya said...

And sad...

mya said...

Gotta run now...

Take care!

Anonymous said...

so you had a dream about gerard?

Carrie said...

Gerard Butler? :)

mya said...

Anon, go to my blog. The answer is there.

Anonymous said...

only problem mya, mayo is not GW. it appears what the another anons have said in the past is true; most of you think mayo is GW.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Carrie said...

mya said...

mya said...

Damn! Thanks, Carrie!

Anonymous said...

Hey guys! Just popping in real quick to say this. In the spirit of being twelve and all.

Remember earlier I told you all I had ordered those wonderful cheap clothes from that company, but not before I had written to ask them if they treated their workers fairly and did fair trade?

I go tan email back assuring me that they only hire adults with diplomas, treat them fairly and did fair trade etc.

I just looked at the name of the person who wrote me back and the name is SWALLOW WANG.

Kid you effing not.

Later all!

mya said...

Swallow Wang??!!

That is hilarious!

Carrie said...

Yes, Mya, that's my dream hair, but I am too much of a pumpkin head to carry it off. And K, you crack me up with your silliness. :)

Anonymous said...

mya said...

I really gotta go now. I'm developing a terrific headache... Must take something for it NOW!

mya said...

Actually, anon, I DON"T think Mayo is who you think that I think that they think...
So, stop baiting me, OK?

Anonymous said...

try not to have anymore GW dreams mya, they make them worst.

mya said...

And my response of "Ya think?" was to this comment:

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Amyranth said...

O_O

I did that last night!

Nothing yet though. But the tea was good.

You know, regardless of how LOL-worthy Twilight is, I have to admit, the guy who plays whats-his-name is kinda cute.

In a human, non sparkly way.

Anonymous said...

No way Amy X_x

You mean Edward? Yes, he's quite a looker. I also think the guy who plays James in the movie is hot ^_~

Lot of knots, lot of snags,
lot of holes, lot of cracks lot of crags. Lot of naggin' old hags,
lot of fools, lot of fool scum bags.
Oh it's such a drag, what a chore... oh your wounds are full of salt.
Everything's a stress and what's more, well it's all somebody's fault.

Hey! Get Get Get Get Get over it!

Makes you sick, makes you ill,
makes you cheat, slipping change from the till.
Had it up to the gills... makes you cry while
the milk still spills. Ain't it just a bitch What a pain...
Well it's all a crying shame. What
left to do but complain Better find someone to blame.

Hey! Get Get Get Get Get Over It!

Got a job, got a life, got a four-door and a faithless wife.
Got those nice copper pipes, got an ex, got a room for the night.
Aren't you such a catch
What a prize! Got a body like a battle
axe... Love that perfect frown, honest eyes...
We ought to buy you a Cadillac.

Hey! Get Get Get Get Get Over it!

I saw you sliding out the bar
I saw you slippin' out the back door, baby
Don't even try and find a line this time, it's fine
Darling, you're still divine

You don't love me at all, (Ooooohhhh)
But don't think that it bothers me at all. (Ooooohhhh)
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're... you're so damn hot.
Well you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot
Yeah you're so damn hot
Oh.

So now you're headed to your car
You say it's dinner with your sister, sweetie
But darling look at how you're dressed your best
Suggests another kind of guest

You don't love me at all, (Ooooohhhh)
But don't think that it bothers me at all (Ooooohhhh)
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're... you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot
Yeah you're so damn hot

So who's this other guy you've got
Which other rubes are riding hot-shot, sugar
I could have swore you said before, "No more, for sure"
What'd I believe you for

You don't love me at all, (Ooooohhhh)
But don't think that it bothers me at all (Ooooohhhh)
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're... you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot

You don't love me at all, (Ooooohhhh)
But don't think that it bothers me at all (Ooooohhhh)
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're... you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot
Well you're so damn hot
Yeah you're so damn hot
