The day after the day after tomorrow.

I arrived suddenly, and knew for certain that I was in the best place. It was warm and calm and I stood quietly in the moment, waiting for my turn. But, I quickly realized I was alone. Figuring my wait would be short; I let out a breath releasing the smoke from my lungs and viewed my new environment. All around me the black tar covered ground seemed endless, as if I stood in the parking lot for the world’s demise. Its emptiness ran undisturbed to the limits of my sight, and I thought, “When does it all get here?” Then, as I dropped my spent cigarette to the ground, intending to snub it out with the toe of my boot, something caught my eye.

At the hem of my faded, old black shirt was a white thread and without reflection I pulled it. As I pulled, it continued to reveal itself. So I continued to pull, believing that my shirt would soon unravel. But instead, my shirt remained intact while the string started to wind around itself, twining, until it became as thick as a hangman’s rope. With both my hands I began to work against gravity to slow it down, but it quickly stole my grip allowing the rope to spill out, coiling at my feet. When it stopped its fall, the weight of it almost pulled me over and I realized it must be connected to me. I pulled up my shirt and discovered it cleanly attached to the center of my chest.

Then I noticed smoke coming up from the center of the pile and realized the rope had coiled itself around my still lit cigarette. I frantically began to kick at the rope, fearing that it would fuse its way to my heart, igniting it. My success gave way to alarm as I heard from behind me the approaching sound of children’s laughter. When I turned, they were upon me. Several of them grabbed the rope and ran past me. As I watched the rope begin to take off I grabbed for it, but it slipped in my hand. When it disconnected from my chest I fell to the ground and grabbed for its end, but it trailed off behind them, leaving an inky trace.

I remained on my knees. A dull pain echoed in my chest as I watched the children huddle together holding hands to ears, whispering. Several of them looked over at me, but quickly returned to their attention to the group. I felt like an idiot. Oddly, they seemed unfazed by my presence and began to jump rope, their laughter in time with its swooshing rhythm. So, I asked them “Don’t you know you’re playing with the end of me?” My reply came in the most unexpected way, as the smallest of all the children approached me with the seeping end of the rope, smiled and said, “It’s your turn.”

p.s. I’m always fucking late.

Mayo,

I hope you have a great Wednesday. It's chilly here and feels like fall. I'm actually wearing a..*gasp* sweater and a jacket.

Wow. I know. It's like a blustery 40 degrees. I don't know how we're going to make it through. It's going to be a long, cold winter, dude.

Muahah!

Here's to me hoping that your thermostat is right where you want it and that you are remembering to conserve energy.

Am I for real? Depends on what you mean by real.

Define real.

Love to YOU Always,

Hi everyone, I hope you are well.

Thanks so much for your get well wishes.

I am currently dying of flu. I can't remeber the last time I was this ill.

I was so happy to read about k's college news. Well done sweetie. I knew you would do it.

I was so chuffed to hear it, I celebrated with another bout of coughing.

Talking about coughing, it's tiome I got back to it.

See you guys soon, I hope.

Cough cough!

Morning Mayo! Morning SS!

Mayo,

Bleh. It's Wednesday. Let's get pissy and sling some hairbrushes today. Want to? Yhus! >_<

SS,

Like Solly said, you rock! You fixed the clicky-linky thingy! I bet she's just a smidge jealous though. She sucks at clicky-linky thingys. ^_~

You two have a great day! Sling a hairbrush just for me!

MissT! I hope you feel better soon! The flu is evil. Pure evil.

Ummmm, what else?

House & Cuddy? Just no. Ewww.

Only 2 more days til Halloween! YAY!!!!!!Whoop! Whoop!

Oh and about Mayo's time thingy, I did not say he was answering me. Hard to answer someone who didn't ask you a question. I was just pointing out the freaky coincidence. That's all. Unless you did do it on purpose and if you did, Mayo, I'm gonna sling a hairbrush right at you. ^_~

Just playing.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine.

'Cept, not really. O_o

Later all!

Kapu, if you want to see what the other Lovelies think of you, you should go to Dickweed's blog.

Anonymous said...

Good morning! What a swell day, right? :) Oh my god, I have so many freaking papers to fill out and make sense of. O_O And shopping and cleaning and, yeah! who cares about that stuff? :)

Mayo, I wish to write something for you; it's kinda in my mind but not really formed. so until then I really have nothing to offer except to say that I hope you saw my thanks to you yesterday, because I mean it. :D

S(S)S, and once again with the thanking you for the ruleage and for our considerable grace. ^_^

Anons from last night: You want to do a Hula for me? That would be neat! But, it has to be a real one. Hula is someone else's culture and history; if you are going to co-opt their culture (like I have) then you have to be a proponent of it. and the skirts you see us wearing aren't grass; they are 'otea bark, which is really heavy and scratchy. But if you want to learn the Hula, I say, go for it!

And yes, China in April, only six months! Color me stoked. It's a two week trip.

Oh man! And I have to dig out my passport papers today, too. O_O

I hope you are all having a beautiful day. It's another perfect northeast autumn day here, gusty and cloudy. :D

Later!

Congratulations, Kapunua.

I love your enthusiasm and the fact that you actually go out into the world and do things instead of just talking about them. I also admire your ability to put things in perspective and to discern the difference between things that are important (like family, friends and a set of strong beliefs and values) and things that are not (mean people on a blog who insult you, most likely due to jealousy).

Best wishes and good luck with your studies.

Anonymous said...

Thank you very, very much nice anon. :) You have put a huge smile on my face, for as much as petty comments on a blog do not (usually) matter to me, nice ones mean the world.

Anonymous said...

Never show anyone. They'll beg you and they'll flatter you for the secret, but as soon as you give it up, you'll be nothing to them...

The secret impresses no one. The trick you use it for is everything.

Anonymous said...

And on that note, I'm off. Bye, and thanks again to everyone who is nice, who wished me luck, congratulated me, or just plain hasn't been mean. :) Thank you! Have a lovely day.

Anonymous said...

DID YOU NOT GET IT PORCHIE!

You want to fix things at Mayonaise's? Why not give the stage to someone else once in awhile? Constant self-centered posts, be they about what you're doing every exact second of every day, or posts as "Random Televison Character" really monopolize the conversation. Is that fair to anyone? Nope.

What's that? Scroll past it? You know, that would be a genius idea, if it didn't make up 75% of the blog replies. Ignore, ignore all you want, but it is still there. It's still used to derail current topics of conversation. It's used to force people to stop talking, and it's used for attention. It's beyond pathetic

You have a place for that. DM. Keep it there.

Anonymous said...

You are beyond pathetic, copy/paste anon.

Anonymous said...

i am never without it

(i loved your photo. thank you, my sweet)

Anonymous said...

I remember this too.

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Trying to pretend that the anon at 9:08 was Mayo is an insult to Mayo. First of all he would not go against what most people here want. The Fix was the truth about certain people. They couldn't face up to it so they took their marbles and left. Even if Mayo did mistakenly believe that what the Porchies were doing was the right way to behave with others, he would have the strength of his convicion to sign in, or he would change the time stamp on his front page.

I don't see a time stamp there. Do you?

No, I didn't think so.

Don't try to bait me.

For those of you who think they know what I do and do not wish to read, don't put words in my mouth.

I never fake it.

Most know me when they see me.

And to those who do, thanks for all of your incredible interpretations of my story.

I just noticed that Kapu and Mayo both say 'wish to' instead of want to. Not that I think it means anything or Kapu is Mayo, it's just a weird way of saying it. It doesn't sound very American.

Anonymous said...

Franky doesn't look too happy

Anonymous said...

It's a conspiracy of pretentious writers! ^_^

I don't know if I say that when speaking. I think I have three ways of speaking: my formal way which I think does make me sound pretentious; but which I can't help in certain situations because the what I was taught was "correct" in grammar school and college has stayed with me; the second is what I think is a typical east end Long Island dialect and sensibility, with lots of abstractions, snark, and vulgar metaphors; and the third way is whatever people around me sound like. This last one is beyond my control.

I remember when I met Fimble Star at first and I was so utterly afraid that I was going to start to adopt her beautiful accent and totally embarrass myself. (And Fimble Star does sound a lot like she writes, if you can imagine it. Although I was surprised that she has such a quiet and gentle voice. She sounds like a sugar cube in tea even when she's telling you, "Shut it!" It's kind of awesome. Also, Fimble has a really quick wit. If you think she sits there for hours thinking of the crazy things she says on here, you're wrong. These things just spring out of her.)

Yet Fimble had to leave early, and by the end of the night I was trying desperately to STFU because everytime I opened my mouth, Solly's and Smoke's accent came out. I apologized to them for it and said that it was not on purpose. I watched Walk The Line once and sounded like June Carter for the rest of the day. There is a rhythm to that accent that's so hard to shake off.

Solly does not speak like I imagined! It's funny because she says some of the same things she says on the blog, but in person she speaks a lot more and is ridiculously funny. She has this gift of total charisma, where she can walk into the room and just sweep everyone up into her humor, and you just go along helplessly, giggling. And when you think she's done and The Funny is over, she just cranks it up a notch until you're practically rolling on the floor.

Smoke, though? Actually is a princess. She speaks like one, gestures like one, and actually behaves like one. I'm not talking about these imperious, hoity toity "all about me" types, but I mean more like a fairy tale princess. She's very graceful and gracious. I kind of wanted to copy her. O_O

I wonder if everyone else here types like they talk, or not?

Anonymous said...

Oh, you! You talk just like you write, you do!

Anonymous said...

Do you, Mayo? Do you speak like you type? Do you say, "I do not wish to read this now. But, perhaps later, when there is more time. So, for now, I will put this magazine down, only to be read later."

Even when you sound more casual in some of your posts, and even when you're swearing, there's still a sense of formality to your vulgarity.

Is that you in real life, too?

(Actually, probably not. It's probably one aspect of your speaking that you reserve for when the need arises.)

Anonymous said...

Frank just looks very, very tired in that pic.

Anonymous said...

Oh gosh, I didn't even see that pic the first time!

He does look tired. I think they are so sweet and I find her just adorable.

Fimble Star said...

What kind of tunes do you like to hear?

It makes me laugh when people are whistling a song and i cant get it, i suck at that lol.

Anonymous said...

Do you like jumping rope FS? Mayo's post put the idea in my head. I tried. I hurt myself.

Fimble Star said...

oh anon, i used to love it, we had all these songs that you used to sing whilst jumping. I could jump for a while but when there became two ropes or two people, i would always mess it up lol.

I havent jumped rope in years, when you read this post, did you go out and jump rope?

Anonymous said...

I'm partial to that old Whistle while we work song. And Sitting on the dock of the bay. I like hearing those whistled.

Anonymous said...

I don't speak Chinese either. I had to google that in pieces. I like looking stuff up. I also never said it was SS. I just thanked whoever said it to me. ^_^

I don't think Jamia looks smug but I have to tell you, I'd probably look a little smug! ;D

OMG, it snowed here earlier! WTF. O_O

Fimble Star said...

ohh good choices, i love listening to 'sitting on the dock of the bay' being sung. I remember the first time i heard it, and this is saying something.

Ever remember the programme 'sister sister' well, one of the twins was in a talent contest and she sang that song, and yeh, i liked it :)

i always try and make up a new tune when i whistle but i always end up gelling it into a song that i had heard that day, i fail.

Anonymous said...

I tried to jump rope after reading this post FS. I didn't jump the rope. I fell on it.

Cheers for the chat last night, it was good to catch up with you and the others.

Anonymous said...

'Kay, I don't usually even click on links sent to me in email that are supposed to be all funny or trendy, but this one was sent by someone who is the same way and I thought it was funny and very revealing.

Anyone who has cats will probably know what this is like. :) I used to have cats but never let them sleep on my bed, for this very reason.

Cat bothers sleeping guy all night.

Funny!

Anonymous said...

It sure was, Fim. :) Great times!

Fimble Star said...

Thats a crazy vid, he may of been a restless sleeper but i am more of a dog person, not a cat person they are cute though, when they are not trying to scratch my eyes out lol

Anonymous said...

Yeah, me too. My dogs are really good during the night. If they ever start to get restless I just tell them "BED!" and they both go back to their beds. You really can't order a cat to its bed.

Fimble Star said...

nah, otherwise it will just on your head and start being crazy lol.

I was at my friends house last night and she has a black lab, 2 years old and the dog is called alfie. he is a lovely dog and you can shake his paw, very very clever but i supose they are, they are trained to be blind dogs over here.

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah, the service dogs are so incredible, aren't they? Labs start out so awful as puppies but they can mature really nicely with a good trainer. Without training they are hideous.

Fimble Star said...

I dont think they are that bad, we had a mountain pioneer dog for a couple of weeks once, he was bigger than me when i was 7 but he was too big and too hard so we had to send him back now thats a scary dog.

My other friend has a black lab who is 4 months old, she is called myla and once, when i was going round to see them, myla jumped up andput a hole right through my top. they are bloody pains but i think they are so sweet. My hannah was a darling, now she was my best dog, love her to bits, but she is no longer here, oh well

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah, lab puppies can just about jump through the ceiling! Your Hannah sounds like a darling. It sucks so hard when you lose them. I have hardly ever met an aggressive lab or one that would even growl at you. Just out of control ones. Actually, out of all the labs I met (hundreds,) only two were aggressive, and one was so bad that he had to be put to sleep after he attacked a four year old boy and tore into his face. O_O That dog was a hulking 80 pounds, as mean as could be, strong as an ox and whip smart. You could see him thinking, trying to process things as he would work his way out of the cage. And he would look you right in the face like he was figuring out how to get around you. He broke every leash we had and one time he pulled me down and dragged me about five yards down the hall. Oh man, he was the devil.

But as far as temperament, labs are usually full of love. They are just so exuberant in their demonstrations of it.

Fimble Star said...

totally agree, they are full of love :)

i remember you telling me about the one dog that was put down, it sounds scary. Was the child ok though?

oh, so happy jules, i am going to watch saw 5 on wednesday night with james, whoop whoop ;)

Anonymous said...

I think the kid was okay, but I'm sure he's neurotic about dogs now. O_O

Oh Fimmy! That's so great! Well, the James part. The movie I'm not too sure about. ;D

Fimble Star said...

yep, i am quite excited about it, i wanna go see saw but no one will go cos they will get scared by it but i always wanna see scary movies but end up hiding half of it, i never watch it all the way through lol. I told him that i will be hiding most part of it, whoop whoop.

going to go now,
speak to you later ok, have fun everyone

bye

Anonymous said...

I looove scary movies but I thought Saw was really dumb and had two gaping plot holes that really irritated me.

But it's not the movie you'll be going for, is it? ;D

Hi bella!!!!

hope your well

anon certainly, a photo doesn't tell much unless it's blatantly obvious, like the princess Di and Prince Charles at the Taj Mahal that time, and it has to be followed up by continued postures etc, all body language experts say you can't take a look or gesture in isolation.
And though Franks expression isn't mirroring hers at that point, his posture sure is

Anonymous said...

yes he is holding her in a protective loving manner and his hands are clasped together as if he doesn't want to let her go

Anonymous said...

Leave Jamia the fuck alone! How's that? Damn, trying to pick apart and scrutinize a photo. Stop it and get on with your own lives.
You cannot gauge a person's happiness or lack thereof by a mili-second in time photo.

A photo that could have caught someone off guard etc.
Enough with the Jamia shit, please.
Thank you

Filling your dreams to the brim with fright

Life's no fun without a good scare

In our town of Halloween

CORPSE CHORUS
In this town

And scream like a banshee
Make you jump out of your skin

Won't ya please make way for a very special guy

Our man Jack is king of the pumpkin patch
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now

In this town we call home
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song

Make up your mind
Decide to walk with me
Around the lake tonight
Around the lake tonight
By my side
By my side
I'm not gonna lie
I'll not be a gentleman
Behind the boathouse
I'll show you my dark secret

I'm not gonna lie
I want you for mine
My blushing bride
My lover, be my lover, yeah...

Don't be afraid
I didn't mean to scare you
So help me, Jesus

I can promise you
You'll stay as beautiful
With dark hair
And soft skin...forever
Forever

Make up your mind
Make up your mind
And I'll promise you
I will treat you well
My sweet angel
So help me, Jesus

(hey, hey, hey)

Give it up to me
Give it up to me
Do you wanna be
My angel?
So help me!

Be my angel
Be my angel
Do you wanna die?
I promise you
I will treat you well
My sweet angel
So help me

This post reminded me of something but it took me a few days to remember what. It was this. It's a clip from Angels in America and if you haven't seen it, you definately should. Probably has nothing to do with the meaning of Mayo's post, but I thought maybe I'd share it with you anyway.

I woke up this morning to find one of these in my hair.

O_o

Anonymous said...

Ew, silverfish. I hate those little bastards. Anything with that many legs is just disgusting.

resurrected wreck said...

Not silverfish. It's a centipede. They're much worse!

Anonymous said...

Yuck, yuck, yuck. Nasty little fuckers.

I would have panicked.

resurrected wreck said...

I wasn't quite awake yet, so I just picked it out & stomped on it.

Anonymous said...

O_o
I hope you were wearing a shoe?

resurrected wreck said...

A slipper.

resurrected wreck said...

Better than barefoot, to be sure!

Anonymous said...

Absolutely. Although, I hate having to scrape things like that off my shoes.

Better than having them in your hair, though.

resurrected wreck said...

Nice thing about centipedes is that they're mainly just composed of legs and air, so they leave hardly any mark on anything.

Well, nice for me, I mean. Not so much for the centipede.

Night, everyone :)

Mayo

Just a quick goodnight from me. Yeah, that’s pretty rare so count your blessings. I’m getting ready to watch a double feature of “House of A Thousand Corpses” and “Devil’s Rejects.” Nope, I’ve never seen either one before.

Anyway, yeah here goes….Hope your day was good. Mine was full of catching up on things that needed to be done but somehow always got passed over. I have lots of those things, believe me. Hopefully tomorrow I can sneak back to the cemetery and take some more photos. I’ve showed my orb pics to several people and they’re impressed. Of course chances are I’ll take thousands of pictures and never catch another. No, that’s not a good attitude, is it? I’m sure I’ll catch some more. There, that sounds better. Gotta keep up a positive attitude. Hey, you keep a positive attitude too. Oh hell, for some reason I now have Monty Python’s “Always Look On The Bright Side of Life” stuck in my head. I am a strange woman.

Oh one more thing. Stormy told Sunshine about how I posted the picture and she broke into a pout. Never a good thing. So I told her I would post a pic of her and Wilber. Who’s Wilber? Well he’s the white kitten. Sunshine named him because she said when he was born he looked like a little pig. You know, Charlotte’s Web? Her mind does work in mysterious ways. Gee, think she gets that from me? Yeah, don’t answer that. So here is Sunshine and Wilber.

Sunshine and Wilber

Take care. Talk to you tomorrow.

Okay, so before I set my costume on fire, I came here to pop in and say Hello!

RW, centipedes are gross. Just... urgh. They're one of the few bugs that make me scream when I see them.

Ergo, Teej, Elena, J and L, BC and anyone else I'm going to miss tonight, sorry! I really, really need to get this costume finished, come hell or high water.

(It'll actually be a lighter. You should have seen the fit I had when the wig started to fall apart.)

Goodnight Lovelies, Mayo and SS.

The video is The Toadies. It goes with the lyrics at 7:21.

Good luck finishing the costume Amy.

toujours said...

so, get this, i don't know if this is weird or not, but i have a spatial image of blogbelieve.

mayo's is the center, because when i'm here, i'm right here. this is the great hall. kitchen is to the north, front door is east, knick knack wall south, fireplace west (oh that's odd. hm.) and the staircase is in the northwest corner.

when i click over to other blogbelieve blogs, like redrum's, or the porch, actually, most of them, i go to the left. that's where they all are. ergo's is to the right, though. mine is too, i think.

i don't know why this is.

Anonymous said...

Goodnight Amy, Elena. Hi there TJ, anon, how are you guys?

I'm gonna be going back and forth here.

toujours said...

oh, and all the livejournal pages i go are to the right, as is my gmail.

go figure.

Anonymous said...

that's very interesting toujours. is it based on an intuitive feeling?

toujours said...

hi and bye amyranth, good luck with the costume, i know you can do it!

hi bc, i'll catch you as you go back and forth. :)

thanks for telling me about the video, anon. i used to be able to click on them, even if it was slow to play, but now, nothing.

toujours said...

yes, anon, it is. that's just the way it developed. i noticed that i had a definite sense of direction when i went to different blogs one day a few months ago, and had a "huh" moment.

how do you visualize this place? or the internet in general?

toujours said...

addendum: ss's blog is aaallllll the way to the left, and when aip was here, her blog was to the right.

i should draw a map. :)

Anonymous said...

toujours, in all honesty i don't visualize the blog. however i do tend to have a sense about the various personalities that inhabit this space.

toujours said...

i'm sorry, but now i can't stop.

the couch is on the same wall as the door. i don't know what is in the south-west corner. there's a back door off the kitchen (it's to the left), and the kitchen always has the light on, so it's yellow. the pantry and refrigerator are to the left of the door, the sink on the north wall opposite the door into the kitchen. it's in a long counter under a window (old farmhouse style). i don't know what is to the right in the kitchen.

the stairway is wide, with a curving bannister and a landing. my room is on the next floor from this one (i think, i don't go there much) on the north wall, with a window seat.

what's weird is that there isn't anything right next ot the blog on the right. ergo's and lj and all that are off a little. but to the left, it's right up against the blog, depending on how often i'm visiting a place.

er. i'll stop now.

Anonymous said...

maybe you should toujours.

you can be Tolkien of the blog world :)

toujours said...

oh, do you, anon? you mean, you imagine what the people look like?

toujours said...

Tolkien of the blog world

*hee*

i like that. :)

toujours said...

you know, when i was a kid, one of my favorie things to draw was houses. like, the interiors, and i would design all the furniture and the throw pillows and everything.

i still like doing that actually. i draw floorplans, and maps. my favorite book in the clan of the cave bear series is the valley of the horses, and after reading that a few times i finally gave in and drew a map of her cave. i keep it in the book. :)

and i once had an idea to design a website to look like a dollhouse, you know, in cross-section? and each room would be the link to a different section: recipes in the kitchen, sca stuff in the attic, pagan stuff in the chapel, herb stuff in the backyard, family stuff in the living room, personal stuff in the bedroom...

i like buildings. i like defined space, i guess.

hmm. but i also like wide-open spaces. eastern montana? beautiful. standing on a mountain-top? amazing.

Anonymous said...

maybe it gives you some scope, a sense of direction. you then understand where it fits in the universe, like the way a puzzle fits :)

toujours said...

oh! hi again. i thought maybe you had gone. :)

i like that, about the scope. part of it might be also that the four directions play a large part of my personal mythology, too. all that magic and stuff, you know.

Anonymous said...

can you explain the four directions to me? it sounds fascinating.

toujours said...

sure, it's basic modern pagan stuff. you can also probably find more out on the internet.

but the directions stand for the four elements, the four seasons, the four stages of life, the four powers, the time of day...there are a ton of correspondences you can use, but those are my main ones.

east is where it starts, with spring and air and yellow. youth is the age, time of day is dawn, and the power is to know.

then it's south, and summer, fire, red, adulthood, noon, and the power to dare.

west is water and autumn and blue and motherhood/fatherhood, sunset, and the power to will.

north is earth, winter, green, old age, midnight, and the power to keep silent.

Anonymous said...

thank you toujours. i would be interested in seeing your vision transferred to something more finite.

i'm now thinking if it's left or right, is it more northerly or southerly. can you sense a color for each?

toujours said...

you're welcome. i could actually talk about the directions and their attendant attributes for waaaay too long. :)

do you mean a color for the directions here in blogbelieve? i don't, maybe because i think of this place as a big mansion. mostly, it's just dark and shadowy in here. although...to the right is more open, so gardens perhaps.

Anonymous said...

oh what i meant was, does each individual blog emit some form of color ( as you sense direction i tend to sense that like a form of light)

toujours said...

oh, sorry! i misunderstood. :)

when i think of the individual blogs, i usually see them as their bloggers have designed them. so, redrum's is pale, and clean, like a swedish modernist house. sdock's is always a jumble of colors, so that would be like someone who has a lot of well-loved furniture, family hand-me-downs, bright things that caught her eye. ergo's is also calm, but in a different way than redrum's...it more like a garden in the afternoon, just before twilight.

most bloggers do the same design as mayo's, you know, but they are all different, too. i don't go around as much as i used to. but the way i see each is more related to the personality of the blogger, rather than direction.

i never thought about it before, actually!

how do you mean, like a form of light? that sounds lovely, could you tell me more?

ergoproxy said...

hello!s

toujours said...

ergo! hiya!

oh, i listened to your message, and then my mom cam ein the room, so i played it for her, too. :)

i liked what you said...and yes, i'm terribly sorry, but you do sound like an australian. i hate to break it you. lol

you sound lovely. :)

i have to ask my sister to see if her phone has the ability to do the recording, none here in the house do. i'm working on it!

Anonymous said...

almost like a radiating aura. sounds ridiculous, but comes across like an emotion.

and if you knew me in real life, you would be surprised as i'm quite a logics based thinker.

ergoproxy said...

oh TJ!! I would love to live in a garden! that suits me perfectly, and I adore that time of the evening

but my image of the kitchen is the opposite of yours, fridge and sink to the right, oven etc to the left.
And I always imagine the couch is not in the center of the room but not against a wall, angled to the fireplace etc is to the left looking from the couch, door to the right and the little table in front of the couch is a coffee table, the stairs are to the front of the couch slightly off to the right

Anonymous said...

hey ergo:)

did you know you hang to the right ;)

toujours, are you SURE mayo hangs in the middle? *smirks*

ergoproxy said...

haha I probably sound australian to someone who isn't, I don't have a broad and acccent as some (see Steve Irwan)
I'm so glad it got through, carrie got hers too!
I'd love to hear you , but I shall be patient

*looks at watch*

*taps foot*

;}

hi anon, how are you? I'm terribly logical too

ergoproxy said...

oooh anon!

lol

Anonymous said...

oh well, humor for the night :)

toujours said...

lol anon.

*starchly* i'm sure i wouldn't know.

;)

ergo, the way you see the room from the couch actually kind of matches up with mine. huh.

and anon, thank you for telling me about the auras you sense. i think it actually balances out perfectly, the logic and the emotion find a way to express themselves in your perception of the world.

can i ask, what color/emotion combinations you see? that's always seemed intriguing to me.

ergoproxy said...

yeah it does TJ and how you described the staircase, it's all dark wood to me, but reddish dark wood, mahogany like

do I have a colour anon?

ergoproxy said...

and can I ask if snickerdoodles contain some addictive substance? As I am finding them quite irresistable!

toujours said...

snickerdoodles are a secret weapon, ergo, didn't anyone tell you beforehand? oh dear. and you have the starbucks affliction as well.

well, that's that then. you're just going to have to become an american. it won't be so bad. after all, you're already celebrating halloween. :)

i can go with the staircase being mahogany. i've never actually looked too closely at it.

do you still see the chandelier hanging from the ceiling? remember, from one of the first birthday parties? :)

ergoproxy said...

oh yes there is a chandelier, and a big rug, and I get at least 2 armchairs to the right of the couch, the type with turned wood legs

and the table I picture for meals is always round, never square and it's behind the couch
and the kitchen into door is directly in front of the door out of the kitchen, into the back garden

ergoproxy said...

you seriously should draw a floorplan

I'd love to see it!

toujours said...

i see the big rug, too, but never really think about other chairs, and never think about the table, at all. oops.

but the south wall has a bunch of shelves, those gold ones with glass shelves (which are really tacky but it's not my place so i've never said anything before now), and that's where all mayo's collectible figurines are.

well, the ones that survived all those kickball games, of course.

toujours said...

i think i'm gonna have to, the way this is apparently stuck in my head! lol

I'd love to see it

thinking about it further, i'm realizing that even though i can see the south wall if i want, most of the time it's behind me, or even gone, like the "fourth wall".

i think i actually see this place as an elaborate stage set. how weird.

Anonymous said...

im back, sorry something i had to attend to.

to respond to your questions, toujours i sense an earthy kind of strength in you and almost get an impression of an evergreen/ greygreen light in you.

ergo, you too have strength, however i sense a strong sense of composure and principle in you and you give me a feeling of cobalt/delft blue type of hue :)

the world is your kaleidoscope, and the varying combinations of color which at every succeeding moment it presents to you, are the exquisitely adjusted pictures of your ever-moving thoughts

Made to his mistress' eyebrow.
