Time spent, not wasted.

L'envoi

I have the presence of mind to call you out.
Bring it on, I have no doubt
You will leave me when you hear this.
Because, you already know what it’s about,
It blisters my fingers, it breaks my bones.
They’ll say you should've been better told
You won't get far on that soul you sold.

You have a knack for turning me out.
Knock me down, I have no doubt
I will leave here once I say this...
I have to find a better way out.
My hands are full, my mind is clear
All I ask is look beyond you, my dear
I've lifted your curtain and cast out my fear.

And just because we've agreed
Doesn’t mean that I’ve concluded
I held onto the ugly truth behind
All the words you have eluded.

So bring it on and I will profess
And in turn clean the fucking mess
Of your life; what has become
Of your once upon a happy home.

I have half a mind to pull you out
Scream in your face, there will be no doubt
You'd be better off. Then dead
Years shattered, moments that mattered
Have all been dusted with your heels.
Did you know? Could you see?
I have closed the door behind me.

You called to me; I had to believe
When you cried I'd find relief.
Then you left me to be,
Taking your brutal confession
For an old useless possession.
Because, you said you could see
All the misery hidden within me.

And just because we've agreed
Doesn’t mean that I’ve concluded
I held onto the ugly truth behind
All the words you have eluded.

So bring it on and I will profess
And in turn clean this fucking mess
Of your life; what has become
Of your once upon a happy home.

And I can’t be this anymore.
You know what I mean, it’s too deep.
So in the ditch, I've become the creep
And the moments have lost all their meaning.
Two far fetched visions of one useless being
Breathe while you stand there pleading
For truth. We spill lies so deceiving.

And just because we've agreed
Doesn’t mean that I’ve concluded
I held onto the greedy truth behind
All the words we have diluted.

So bring it on and I will confess
And in turn clean this fucking mess
Of our lives; what has become
Of our once upon a happy home.

And I can’t be this anymore.
You know what I mean, it’s too deep.
What could I say if you fell before me?
There is no time to be weak.
After everything we said, it’s a shame

With all of that cruel intention,
I have always taken the blame.

Funny, I wrote that around this time last year. At the time, drawing upon "only so" recent events and feelings in order to understand the shit I was currently mired in. Words to heal by, I guess you could say. And in case you were wondering, they helped.

p.s. it is or it isn't or it was but not now it can't at once be and not be but it could never have been or what it once was now.

The Fix.
There has been a lot of talk over at Mayo's about how to "fix things".

Well, I've got a few ideas, and I can guarantee that very few people are going to like them.

You want to fix things at Mayonaise's? Why not give the stage to someone else once in awhile? Constant self-centered posts, be they about what you're doing every exact second of every day, or posts as "Random Televison Character" really monopolize the conversation. Is that fair to anyone? Nope.

What's that? Scroll past it? You know, that would be a genius idea, if it didn't make up 75% of the blog replies. Ignore, ignore all you want, but it is still there. It's still used to derail current topics of conversation. It's used to force people to stop talking, and it's used for attention. It's beyond pathetic.

It used to be different, when everyone was involved. Now, nobody is involved and it feels to me like it's on purpose.

Next? Well, there's the rampant suggestion that "people suck" when they don't consistently stand up for everyone on the blog at any given time.

I'm sure I've said this before. You are damned if you do, and you are damned if you don't.

However, I'm going to hell in a 24k handbasket, because I refuse to stand for anyone who is comfortable to spend the day, night, mid-afternoon, whatever, belitting, undermining, harassing, or even outright insulting people who I consider to be friends.
Who gives anyone else the right to do those things? Nobody.
They are done, and done again. And over and over. I have seen the posts. The veiled comments behind my back. I've even seen the assumption that I am every nasty Anon that has ever visited Mayonaise's blog.

I haven't replied to this prior, but I will now.
I have a job. I do not have internet access at my job. I do not check this blog until I am at home and on my own time. I pull a regular paycheck every two weeks. I have a life.

Can you put 2 and 2 together?

The comments are duly noted. Especially the ones that call for the shutdown of Mayo's blog, when nothing has happened, except for a few friends having a good time. Oh yes, I've seen those too. Please, don't kid yourself. Going to read porn, and openly discussing sex and sexual behaviour are no different.

Oh, but here I am, in blatant disagreement with a lot of things. A lot of people. Oh well. I suppose I can't be blacklisted any more than I already am, can I?

I have also noticed something. This is quite troubling to me, mostly because I know that it doesn't bother me what Anonymous Vultures say, but it has, and clearly does bother others.

Why does it seem to me that if you disagree with the so-called "popular opinion", you can pretty much count down the seconds until there are Vultures nipping at your heels, and pointing fingers at you?

Are we ALL so always in the wrong? No. I frequently see many polite discussions with polite disagreements, and the day goes on. The world spins, the dove sings, and the moon rises and sets.

If you can't have a POLITE discussion about anything, without resorting to name-calling, derogatory talk, or even threats, you do not even have a right to open your mouth.

"Real adults - mature ones - realize that different people have different tastes. Really realize it, as in: they don't just say they do, they mean it and take it to heart. As opposed to trying to FORCE their tastes on anyone within earshot. Particularly when said "anyone" has expressed profound dislike of said thing-that-is-within-said-adult's-tastes. Real grownups don't feel the need to be a conversational dictator."

(Clearly exempt from this are Anons that come in with the claws and teeth at someone's throat for no decent reason.)

Here's something else to ponder. Why would you discuss things, or even provide information that you can be used to harass you and possibly make your life unhappy?

This is the internet, darlings. Regardless of who you are, you should never provide information, or allow access to information that anyone can use to identify you offline. Ever. Period. You put yourself and everyone around you at serious risk when you do that.

Why make yourself a target? Why make anyone else an unwilling target?

I have felt for a very long time now that there has been a movement to push people away from Mayo's. It is painful to read and even more painful to say. I do not form this theory lightly, and I wouldn't say it unless I truly felt that it was affecting everything that we all used to enjoy so much.

The blog has been centered more and more on certain people. Whether it is they themselves who are being villainized or celebrated, I have become increasingly aware that the rotation is squarely around them. No longer is this blog about camaraderie, it's not about Family, or even is it about Mayo and his Lovelies.

There is no inclusion. There is no friendliness. There is no love, and no "home".

My mother said to me once "If you're being picked on for something, pay attention to what is being said. If it's the same thing over and over again, maybe it's something you should think about changing."

People will not conform to your expectations. They will not conform to your will. They will not take up your ideals, your thoughts, or your mentality. They especially will not tolerate attitude from anyone who attempts to lord over them.

If you seem to be the problem, look at them, and ask yourself what you plan to do. If the answer is "Nothing", then do not be surprised when the circle around you gets wider, and wider.

For those of you that complain about the divide in the House of Mayo, here's some of your reasons why. If anything can bring it back to what it was, I feel that fixing these problems would be a start.

They are not minor.

They are not going to be easy.

I think they can be worth it.

Do you?

-Amyranth.

I know that this probably has already been tossed about here, and I don't mean in any way to insinuate anyones identity, but

After reading some of Franks old journal it reminds of how Mayo writes.

If anyone is familiar with F.T. Willz (who is presumed to be Frank) and has read some of their poems, they too remind me of Mayo.

ergoproxy said...

ok strike that I had a look at the home page

I don't know if he'd want this posted all over, but then, if it's on the internet you can't really stop people looking

Fimble Star said...

*claps to anon*

just shows what you spend your time doing.

Now, you you want to post anythign else or can you use your own words?

Fimble Star said...

8.19, i have seem F.T.Willz writing and i liek it. I know the sisters and slash enjoy it as well. I think they remind them of hey chris? not to sure on that.

ergoproxy said...

what did the person do in the shop fim?

it's so bad people just forget how to behave nicely

Fimble Star said...

I was asking her if she wanted the same as last time, she turned to me, gave me a note on a small piece of paper and said

'i dont understand you, speak engligh, here is a note for *****'

i was like

'emm, 1 i am speaking english, kinda a hint from where i am from, 2 if you dont even want to speak to me and you wont try to be nice then i dont want your custom now please leave my premises'

she was very rude and she walked out of the shop looking like she knew she was rude.

ergoproxy said...

If anyone is familiar with F.T. Willz (who is presumed to be Frank)

you know it would really be a shame if they are a real person in their own right and are never recognised for that.
Is there a reason people presume that?
(I haven't heard of them but just googled it)

ergoproxy said...

oh fim I think they should be refused service for that, and I bet they did know they were being rude, I think it's a very rare person who is completely unaware when they are doing it, let alone something as blatant as that!

Fimble Star said...

true, i left the girls to work this afternoon and when i called to find out how things were, one of the girls told me that the same lady came back later on with some english tea bags and some cadburys chocolate and apologised for the way she acted.

so, at least she understood how rude she was but it doesnt warrent it in the first place.

ergoproxy said...

no apologising almost makes your reaction unwarranted, when I really think she'd be very aware, enough to prepare a note. But maybe she realised she'd gone too far.
I had a customer once who just seemed intent on upsetting me, regardless of anything I said, I ended up calling a manager over and got away.

..then there have been the students, but with them I could go on for hours!

ergoproxy said...

hi anon :]

Fimble Star said...

lol ergo, i bet you have plenty of tales witht he students :)

I know what you mean, best thing to do is walk away rather than showing the attituded she has just shown you but i had to say my little piece, i didnt want her in my shop. I am kinda glad because there was this other dude int he shop waiting for me to serve him and he witnessed the whole thing and thoguht the same as me. The only thing he would of done differently was he said he would of physically thrown her out. i was like 0_0

ergoproxy said...

haha
pity he didn't!

I was only a new casual assistant back then, so they knew I had little authority, but I was very different dealing with students when I was in charge, I prided myself in very rarely getting angry or engaging them, that was always what they were after, as if you make the teacher mad or upset it's like you get points with your mates, and I wouldn't give them the satisfaction

But I?m gonna stick to you, boy, you?ll never get rid of me
There?s no other place in this world where I rather would be
Honey honey, touch me, baby, ah-hah, honey honey

Well then, you'd best check out Egg Story, The Plain J.A.N.E.S, Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose, American Virgin, oh and The Pro.

Ergo, the only TUA things I have are the comics and the trade. I want the badges, but I might get the patch instead.

I'm weird, I'd actually have that put on a sweater and wear it around. I'm a geek when it comes to stuff like that.

I have Emily on order at the newsagaents for the next issue and found a store that stocks her gear, I only just discovered it but it really appeals to me

Who me? Amy I have so many collections it's beyond overwhelming. Hey, can you actually be beyond overwhelming?

Well yeah, I think so.

Auuughhhh! Fathom sounds cool. Stop costing me cash monies.

Amyranth said...

Ergo, there's tons of Emily stuff that's been released. I can find some of it here for you if there's anything in particular that you want and can't order.

Carrie, sorry. It's rubbing off on you isn't it?

Elena, "beyond overwhelming" is a decent description.

I have the Umbrella patch and the school crest one too
I haven't put them on anything yet, I haven't really got the right sort of jacket yet (note to self: hunt 2nd hand stores)

Look for Promethea as well. It was a limited series, but you can find it in trade paperback now.

12:21, thanks for the tip!

Oh, and Carrie, check out Fables too. I really liked it. Fractured Fairy-Tale, sorta meets a big city ideals with flying baby wolf children.

's good.

I've got a huge Used patch that I pinned to my wall, and some MCR patches too. I just put all my stuff on the wall.

Amy, you're killin' me!

Carrie, I had a bunch of MCR pins and stickers that I bought at the Black Parade show. By the time I got home, they were missing. :(

But, I saved some black and white confetti.

Ergo, ANYTHING from Australia? Anything at all?

*wiggles eyebrows*

I have no MCR merch. =(

BUT I do have my signed TUA from Toujours, and the whole series from Elena! *bows down*

Carrie said...

Amy, wah! I used to have some pins stuck to the curtain I use as a door to my room, dang, what happened to those? My friend Tim got me them when I first got into MCR, along with a bumper sticker that read " I Dig Scrawny Pale Guys" and an MCR biograpy. I think he kinda likes me. :)
