There's a word for that.

It is everything built to borrow
made of a moment or two of sorrow
with a roof pitched of tar and nicotine
and everything good that is in between
that has taken three hundred days
sometimes filtered through a painted haze
while holding breath without suffocation
there is love and hate, anguish and elation

K yeah it sounds to me like a coincidence too, but gee some people have a lot of time on their hands, though with MUSE penchant for leaving cryptic clues for fans I suppose they'll look anywhere

Anonymous said...

Hey, Mayo!

First of all, a big thank you for popping by today and hanging with the homies.

And secondly, a thank you for this:

...I see revolution, evolution
Not manufactured illusion.

The image is whole,
Yet fractured. It is
Bent, but straight...

We were visiting old posts and looking at old comments, and it's weird to see your own words in the first place, but to see where you were that long ago? It's crazy. I started skipping through a lot because of the awkwardness. It wasn't because I was ashamed of what I had written and thought, but I guess it was more of a relief that I was away from some of those places now, you know?

So, not only do you see that stuff in all of us, we've been able to see it in ourselves. And not that I don't value your response and opinion, because I'm glad you've been able to see the changes. But, I think it's even more beautiful, more "close-to-home," so to speak, that we found out for ourselves, that we found ourselves worthy enough to go digging and make alterations so we could all be better, happier people.

I had no preconceived thoughts about what I wanted to gain from this place. I was, we pretty much all were, thrust into it not expecting this place to be anything other than a forum to share disappointments and gratitude for a band we all cared about. But, what I almost walked away with, what I will end up walking away with is so much more.

I have a greater understanding of the world around me. I won't ever use ellipses again. The love I have for this art amazes me every day, I never knew I could outdo myself. Ideas, now, are always popping, and I my comprehension skillz have improved considerably. But, what I think I'm most pleased with is that everything looks a bit brighter now.

And I take great, I guess, comfort in the fact that I've got people holding, and I'm holding other people. It's pretty awesome.

Enough blabbage. I hope you're doing okay, sounds like you were! See you around, dude.

SS,
*sings Message In A Bottle's chorus 50 gazzzzillion times*

I hope you're doing well! We miss you around here, and we hope you come by soon! Smell you later!

Hi TJ!

Okay, so I have to share this joke I read on a card today. TJ, you may like this one.

It was a Halloween card and on the front it had the stereotypical witch riding on a broomstick, right? And it said, "How can you tell when a witch has PMS?"

On the inside it read, "She flies off the handle."

How ridiculous, but I LOLed all day about it. I think it was the visual I got.

Amy that's a full week! but you'll get some nice pay for it and that always helps

sdock10 said...

Mayo,

Thanks stopping by and hanging with us and for the poem. You know it's still weirds me out to see your name in blue. I don't suppose I will ever get used it. I was at my sister's house and she plopped down in front of the computer and was gonna show me the UGA doggies she posted for Jules. Her eyes got all big and her head went to the side and she was like, "Mayonaise?" So yeah, I was standing over her shoulder the whole time you were here, there, and everywhere.

Anyways, it was nice to see you visit your own blog. It is still yours, remember?

And Mustard pretty much nailed it with her goodnight to you. I was cringing and asking myself if I was on crack with some of my early comments to you, but every now and then, I would read one and know exactly what I was trying to say. It almost felt like I could read what I wrote and get through to even my stubborn self.

Almost, Mayo. That's my second favorite word. You know what my most favorite is.

Right?

Fuck yeah, you do!

I do listen better than I ever have because of this place and sometimes I can hear myself above all the noise. It's a weird voice, but one I still recognize.

Changes have taken place. And I just wonder where we'll all be this time next year?

I'm betting there will be even more of us meeting up in real life and sitting across tables from each other talking and crying with laughter. Just like tonight, just like here.

I'm babbling hardcore, but I think you understand.

Love to YOU Always,
S

p.s. It's like being in a room full of myselves and not being uncomfortable.

I meant to ask this a while ago but,
I don't know if you guys get Libra brand women's products for 'that time of the month' but I got a sample one and you know the little bit of paper that covers the sticky backing on a pad, well Libra in it's wisdom has printed "odd sopts" on it

eg, "# 515 When viewed from above rainbows appear donut shaped"

now it's interesting, but I don't think that particular act, at that time of the month, requites reading material

perhaps they could do "fortune
tampons"

or special cracker jokes for xmas

Anonymous said...

It is purely wrong for Mayo and others to give Kapunua so much credit on this blog. There are others who are smarter and better writers. It is sheer favoritism and misplaced. Others, who come on at different times, are a million times better, smarter and better writers.

toujours said...

hey carrie. well, a lot of scafolk work at renfaires, but for the most part, i have to admit that the whole rennaissance faire scene is a bit looked down upon by the sca. it's the difference between performing and participating, you see. everyone in the sca actually does the things we claim we do. like i was saying about the crown tournaments, a fighter becomes king because he is truly the best in the kingdom, and as king he's a symbol as well as a victor.

not to be snooty, or anything, you understand!

Blogger munched my comment. Tj, yeah, that's what I thought, and I don't think it's snooty. We have some pretty hardcore folks around here who do the annual "River of Time." It's not medieval, more colonial fur trade stuff. And it's not a money making proposition, it's more for educational purposes.

Amyranth said...

12:03, thank you for the compliment!

Intellect and creativity are subjective though. And one person's pauper is another person's prince, I suppose.

You know, when I get it in my head to write a "good night", I do it because I'm inspired. Something hits me, and I just type out the images I see in my head. I sometimes wish I could draw as fast as I type!

But you know, I do it because I care about the people around here. I do it because I'm comfortable with everyone here reading what I have to say. I do it because I want people to read what I see in my head, what this place is to me.

If one person gets it, and likes it, then I've accomplished something, right?

Silence, I don't see why she wouldn't get in. Art schools aren't as exclusive as everyone thinks anyway. I know at the college here, you spend the first year taking basic Fine Arts, which is anything from drawing and painting, to sculpting, to digital animation.

She's got a good hand though.

Your welcome Amy. I have never seen a faker person than her. Most of her smarts are just an act. I think anyone can rhyme. Solving the riddle was by pure chance. It is meaningless. So many here are better than her yet for some reason she gets a lot of credit for being so smart, you would think people thought of her as Einstien. To me it seems so stupid.

Carrie said...

Dude, you misspelled Einstein. I know, I know, I'm an ass licker, whatever, but you made me laugh.

Oh, and it's You're, not your. I respect a good rant, just spell it right or you kind of lose something.

Whatever, it was just a mistake. I dont' think you an ass licker, I like you and Amy.

I admit...... I like it any time someone comes on and puts her in her place.

Anonymous said...

Spelling it wrong doesn't change the pure truth of the things I said.

Goodnight Silence sweet dreams. Hey carrie. Hi RW *big squeeze*

Carrie said...

Hey BC! How was your day?

resurrected wreck said...

Hi, BC :) *squeeze!*

Also hi Carrie, TJ, EP, anons :)

Anonymous said...

Well that is a shame.

Why don't I like her, I already said why. I think she pretends to be a lot smarter than she really is. A lot of that is just fakeness. Of there's one thing I hate it's people who fake things.

So many people who were good, refuse to come back here because she is always here. It is always poetry and politics.... things no one really give a shit about but her. And yet no matter what people say she never stops posting it.

If you can't see that people stay away because of that you are blind as a bat.

She always says she thinks she is ugly but if you go to her blog ..... pictures of her. Now why would you put pictures of yourself if you truely believe you are ugly? You wouldn't. Again fakeness and lies. (And I really don't think she is that pretty AT ALL)...

Kapu always talks like she is the smartest person. Now .... it's everyone of her fake friends calling her a doctor. That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard on here. She doesn't even have a job.

Mayo bothers me because he plays into her.

Also I just happen to like Amy and I think she is the one with the true talent and smarts. I think that Amy said all the right things about Kapu. i also feel that it needs to be said. It needs to be repeated. She gets out of her place all the time. She doesn't listen when anons tell her to stop. If a regular puts her in her place maybe she is more likely to listen. I don't know.

That is the short list of what I don't like about her.

toujours said...

hey there resurrected wreck. :)

Anonymous said...

And yes before you ask. I do go to her blog. It is like a freak show to me. So much fakeness I can't look away.

ergoproxy said...

'ello again BC

Carrie said...

Hey, thanks for answering, I do appreciate that. I just, I don't know. It's just a blog, you know? I think I made the mistake of getting too caught up in it at one time and dehumanizing people to words on a screen, kinda forgetting what was behind there? I think my new view is because I'm old. A mortgage, kids, wondering if your husband is gonna be able to keep his job and you're gonna have health insurance, it just, yeah, oh someone is annoying me with poetry? It kinda puts it all into perspective. And I'm sorry if I sound patronizing, because I really don't mean to be. I just, this blog, it really is a mind fuck. It has given and taken and given and taken until I begin to feel like I'm in some kind of social experiment crap. And yeah, I know I can just close the laptop, but I still don't. :)

Anonymous said...

different anon here. carrie you are right in all the things you said. agree with you on all counts

Anonymous said...

She always says she thinks she is ugly but if you go to her blog ..... pictures of her. Now why would you put pictures of yourself if you truely believe you are ugly?

it's called fishing for compliments. so damn obvious. if she was as smart as she thinks she is she would know how obvious and transparent she is. it's ridiculous.

didn't she make the grande announcement just a couple of months ago that she was going to be a teacher? didn't she say she that was her calling. she was meant to teach because she loved kids so much and she would be a perfect teacher. what the hell happened to that? now she's going to be a doctor? puhleaze. more tall tales and bullshit.

Anonymous said...

But at least you still admit that the poetry was and is annoying. It is so out of place here. Too much. It's just like she can't or won't stop even though she knows we all hate it. SOmetimes I don't even mind if other people do it but her ..... it is always so fake coming from her.

At least you admit the poetry is wrong.

Carrie said...

Hey, different anon.

Anonymous said...

I agree with 1:27. First a teacher and now a doctor. Well first of all that is ridiculous. How do even go to school at that age. What is she, getting to be 40? And she can't even keep a job. How can you be a doctor or even a teacher if you can't even hold on to your job.

Anonymous said...

Hey carrie. whats shaking?

And I'm sorry but I laughed when her book got rejected. How good can you be if you keep getting rejected??

Anonymous said...

Good Luck teaching your daughter to swim. It can be fun. Once she gets it, look out. She wont want to leave the pool!

ergoproxy said...

persevere carrie it's such a great skill to have for your life

anon it's great you have an opinion and can express it, but it doesn't really make much of a difference, we all have our own opinions and that is why the blog is an interesting place, if there are parts you don't like, just concentrate on the ones you do like, it's a lot less stressful that way. Life is too short to focus on stuff that makes you feel bad

Carrie said...

Eh, not so much wrong. I do feel sorta weird talking about her when she's not here, because I know she doesn't like that. Ok, I like poetry, it's cool. The days long poetry fest that went on that time kinda sent me over the edge, but I was on the cliff to start with, for other reasons, you know? I did sort of feel like I was being trampled on, because many were like please, enough, and that was disregarded. I guess that was what made me all grr face and be all snappish. But, at the same time, I wonder if that's just my baggage.

Anonymous said...

Carrie,
your view was not wrong then. she is a bully and a bitch who wants to control everybody and everything. she tries to steer the converstion to things that interest her. things she has pregoogled and typed comments about. thats why she talks over everybody else and completely ignores those who won't play her control and manipulate games. ask the ones who left this place. they'll tell ya like it is.

Carrie said...

diff anon, if she would just relax it would be so much easier. I cannot get the girl to float. I think she takes more after my mom, who I swear is all muscle and cannot float. I on the other hand am quite full of adipose tissue and float like a dream. And anon, what's shakin' is my fat old ass! :)

Hi BC, Hi Ergo, Hi RW, Hi Toujours, Carrie and anons.
Going to bed my head is killing me.
It was so good to hear from Wendy. Mayo was on before. Missed it. I will have to catch up tomorrow.

Goodnight. Sweet dreams.

Anonymous said...

No it is not your baggage. It is hers. When she is told to stop repeatedly..... She should. Anyone can rhyme. It's not a big deal to be able to rhyme. It is just annoying and out of place. But you can't tell her anything. She doesn't listen to anyone.

And Im sorry but Mustard seems just as fake. I saw how quickly she came on once Mayo was on. Just read back. What was she doing... waiting around for him to show up and not talking to anyone else. She wouldn't have posted anything if Mayo wasn't on. But Mayo comes on and all of a sudden it's like Oh I didn't know you were here! What a coincidence. Yeh right. I don't buy it.

Anonymous said...

Aw good luck with teaching your kids swimming lessons Carrie. Glad you had a good day :)

ergoproxy said...

ok how about a more enjoyable topic of conversation, unless you anons have noticed, you've kind of halted the whole discussion we were having, it wasn't really hip and happening but it was going before you moved in with your adgenda

Anonymous said...

Anon 1:34. You are correct. If you ever go over to her live journal you will see something that makes me so angry. Everything she writes here .... she also writes there. It is exactly the same. All the political things she writes here. Word for word it is on her journal.

There is no reason for it to be here other than to get attention for her. If not, she would just keep it on her live journal where it belongs.

Carrie said...

Anon, I think you're a little wrong, but I can see why you might think that. It's hard to know someone just from the blog, I think you need to talk to them outside of it. I think many have personas here that don't quite match who they are, not unlike a certain person.

ergoproxy said...

goodnight diff anon! sweet dreams, hope your headache eases

Anonymous said...

There is no way in hell, this woman who is in her 30's, is going to be a doctor. Or a writer. Rejection after rejection on the writing. And what is she going to do in college where everyone is at LEAST ten years younger than her?

resurrected wreck said...

Sorry about your head, Diff Anon.

Have a good night :)

Carrie said...

Ergo! What you wanna talk about?

Anonymous said...

Carrie there is no wa to hide it. Every time Mayo comes on there is MIB. Where was she a second ago. That's right, not talking to anyone. On comes Mayo and out comes MIB. She acts like she didn't know he was there. It's transparent.

Carrie said...

Night, diff anon. :)

toujours said...

good night diff anon. sweet dreams. :)

ergoproxy said...

Carrie try and get her to relax but to keep her head right back, not sort of try and look at her body, as soon as you remotely bend in the middle you'll start sinking. Tell her it's normal for peoples legs to sink a bit, it's your head and chest you concentrate on first

Anonymous said...

Also I had seen Kapunua's latest drawing and trust me, Amy can draw CIRCLES around her. Kapunua is not a true artist.

resurrected wreck said...

I went back to school in my 30s. A lot of my classmates were younger than me, but several were older than me. One was in her late 40s. You're never too old to learn.

Carrie said...

I guess I would have to say I didn't notice it because I was backreading for most of it, at the time I thought I had missed the whole Mayo visit. I just like the people on the blog, in this I may be a bit, I don't know, unappreciative, in that I see Mayo as a means to an end at this point. He keeps his blog open for me to use as a message board to communicate with people I like. That is cool. I do like his writings, but yeah, the people here are more important to me.

Anonymous said...

But the fact still is that it takes brains and the compassion to listen to what others want to be a doctor. Brains ..... No, she is over rated in that department. And compassion.... Well if you can't even stop writing poetry when it is causing others so much hurt then you don't have any compassion.

Face it. Kapu can't really be a doctor. And her book is not going to be famous. And she is not going to get the guy she thinks is so hot (even though he really isn't).

It is all a fake, a fantasy. A big lie.

ergoproxy said...

very true RW there is no age limit invoked on applications. I had a mature aged student when I began teaching who was about 10 yrs older than me, he wanted a career in the sciences, but needed the high school prep and he did it and is one of the top men in the company he works for now

Anonymous said...

And it takes more than being able to solve a riddle about a well known book. to be a doctor. Sorry but that is real life.

Anonymous said...

Goodnight diff anon, sweet dreams. I hope your headache gets better.

Carrie said...

Actually, and this is not a slam at K, but I know a totally non compassionate doctor. She thinks people who smoke deserve cancer. She hates fat people and doesn't want to touch them. You don't have to have compassion to get a degree, although I do think K has compassion.

resurrected wreck said...

If I had the money I'd go back to school in a heartbeat. I'd love to study ethnobotany.

Anonymous said...

When people tell you they don't want to constantly read your political links and all about the climate, and your stupid poetry, you should listen to them. That's why so many people have left. She just doesn't care.

Anonymous said...

Carrie there is no way she is compassionate. See what I said at 1:47.

Anonymous said...

Oh my GOD. Also on her live journal she said she wants to have a son.

She doesn't even have a husband and she NEVER will.

So that is being a doctor, being a writer and having a son.

All big lies.

Anonymous said...

It's over and she needs to see that.

toujours said...

what is ethnobotany, resurrected wreck?

Carrie said...

I did look, but honestly, have you ever talked to her outside of the blog?

resurrected wreck said...

The study of the relationship between people and plants, TJ. I'm particularly interested in the traditional shamanistic & medicinal use of plants.

Carrie said...

I second the ethnobotany question!

Anonymous said...

If any of those attacks I read up there were against Gerard then Toujours would be having a shit fit right about now. Just statin.

Carrie said...

That sounds way cool Rw.

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't want to talk to her outside of the blog. How she acts when she's not here means nothing to me. It is the lack of compassion she shows when she posts too much poetry and stupid links that says enough.

resurrected wreck said...

I've been kind of studying it on my own, Carrie, for interest's sake. It's a fascinating subject.

Carrie said...

Okay, I respect your decision.

Anonymous said...

THis is from 'the Porch'...

To My MISSING Friend that I am MISSING:
I miss YOU when YOU are not here and I can't find YOU.

That is a message from Sdock. Now who does Sdock always call YOU in capital letters like that. That's right, Mayo. Either he goes to the porch or she thinks he does.

Anonymous said...

Carrie it is just a shame that Kapunua doesn't respect other's decision to not have to read all of her stupid poetry and links.

resurrected wreck said...

She's talking about PPU, 2:00am.

resurrected wreck said...

Not Mayo.

ergoproxy said...

anons what people do in their real life is of no consequence to us as far as the blog goes, it's really nonsensical to focus on it.

RW my degree is a double major in botany but more on the physiology and ecology side.
plants are fascinating

Anonymous said...

EP, she makes the blog the focus of her 'real' life. Even though it is really her FAKE life.

resurrected wreck said...

Cool, EP! :)

Anonymous said...

Not to but in but, everyone here should got o Redrum's blog and look at the comments there. She / he made is Alice in Wonderland post and a few people (guess) are asking if it's Mayo and saying that Redrum can delete the comments.

So go quickly before they are gone.

toujours said...

oh, that's a very interesting subject, resurrected wreck! i didn't know it was a scholarly one...verrrry cool!

Carrie said...

How is it her Fake life? I'm sorry I keep pecking at you. But I don't see how she's fake on here.

resurrected wreck said...

I just saw that as Redrum taking a stab at the answer to Mayo's riddle, 2:04am.

Carrie said...

What? Now Redrum is Mayo? Dang, I thought it was GV. :) Seriously, I don't care who Mayo is, wait, I lie, I would like to know eventually, just for curiosity's sake.

Anonymous said...

I'm off to go watch The Soup, then to bed. Goodnight everyone, swet dreams.

Carrie said...

Night, BC!

Anonymous said...

RW. That post came about right before Mayo came on tonight. It is not the first time that has happened with Redrum. But when people say something he / she usually deletes it.

resurrected wreck said...

Have a good night, BC :)

Anonymous said...

Carrie kapunua's life is a fake life because, nothing she says is ever going to happen. I said it before. She talks forever about writing a book, having a novel. Then for a while it was about teaching. Now its being a doctor and having a son.

It is never going to happen. It is all a big fake. Just fantasies.

resurrected wreck said...

RW. That post came about right before Mayo came on tonight.

No, it didn't. It's been up for at least a couple of days.
