There's a word for that.

It is everything built to borrow
made of a moment or two of sorrow
with a roof pitched of tar and nicotine
and everything good that is in between
that has taken three hundred days
sometimes filtered through a painted haze
while holding breath without suffocation
there is love and hate, anguish and elation

Bad words, hair brushes, hissy fits!

But once I get that out of my system, I'm good. Got this shit all under control.

And if I didn't really have it under control, nobody would ever know.

Get me?

Here's to you being able to have your own slinging, screaming fit on this motherlovin' Monday!

Make it a good one.

so how are you today? Well I hope. I watched about a minute of the Real Housewives of NYC tonight, and I have to say that along with Real Housewives of OC and other of the seemingly endless reality tv mill, they bring me to one conclusion. Though they lead lives of privilege, and have so much and I'd say see themselves as so glamorous, obviously expecting their lives highlighted upon the small screen will elicit mass envy amongst the lesser persons of the world, to me it only creates one abiding thought.
I am so glad I am not them.
Yes, perhaps extra income would help in a lot of ways I would hope it wouldn't lead me to be a such vain, vapid, self indulgent, physically obsessed person. In real life, perhaps they are nice as pie, just doesn't look that way (and please don't even mention Sunset Tan or any other 20 something reality, lifestyles of the rich and pointless, program.)
Isn't it just ironic that someone so willing to flaunt their life can make you so sure that you should be very grateful for yours, as difficult and seemingly less exciting as it may be. I tell you if you ever want a nudge in the appreciate what you have department, watch one of those shows.
Wishing you relevance, fortitude, gratitude and tolerance much love EP xx

SS hope all is well with you, remember if you want to see a rainbow you need to have some rain fall first. Sending you blue skies, butterflies and sunshine.

That is so messed up that Gerard would go to see his wife instead of following his duty. His fans were there to support him or at least meet him and he didn't care. And so what if Lyn-Z's bus broke down... Is Gerard going to fix it magically? I didn't know he was a mechanic. That's a stupid excuse he wanted to be with his wife, he needs to just admit it. Fucking disappointment.

Of course all of you believe what you want as long as it furthers your objective to tear Gerard down. I can't wait until real pictures surface to prove you wrong.

You make it sound like they're going to assault him (LOLzies), though I do think everyone's time would be better spent not giving a damn. Like a small child, Gerard just wants a reaction; the best thing to do is laugh or ignore him until he goes away.

If a). It's not a photoshop job, and b). It's supposed to be pink, then Jimmy Urine must be pissing himself laughing at how half-assed his colour turned out - "THIS is pink, Bitch!!"

...although I expect JU's laughed so long and so hard at Gerard Way's Single White Male shtick already that he's probably bored by now!

That is definately not bad photoshopping. If that is photoshopped (which I doubt) it's one of the best ever, and whoever did it is frickin' genius at making the high and lowlights through hair look very realistic...
Where can I track this person down to photoshop me with purple hair please? Anyone?

I can't wait until real pictures surface to prove you wrong.
Oh. My. God. Why the hell would photoshopped pics be surfacing before the real ones?
Jesus, someone give the fans a functioning brain...

I'm more concerned about Gerard not showing up for a panel on TUA than I am his hair color.

Yeah, I know he wasn't on the official guest list, but fans were told he would be there twice and twice they were let down. I don't think he cares about fans anymore. He probably thinks he's so big now that he doesn't have to worry about little things. Like, you know...fans.

September 1, 2008 11:45 AM

So why wasn't he on the official quest list? Isn't TUA HIS comic book?

And I know, it is screwed up, I care more about that too. He promised he would be there, wheither he was on the list or not. I feel bad for the fans, and that just shows you how much of an ass he is.

"I think that this new scheme is simply following the others of his never ending quest: To make the teeny boppers stop loving him."

Highly possible, but surely even HE can't be stupid enough not to realise by now that all his antics have had exactly the opposite effect - it's only the teenybopper fans left. The "real music fans" he craves respect musicians who have no need for attention-seeking stunts, and it's those "real musicians" who have the longevity and guaranteed record sales. I'd love to see MCR make another record, if only to see if anyone out there, besides the "Ger-Z Girls", actually gives a shit anymore!

I'm thinking he probably dyed it because he got jealous that Frank and Leathermouth were getting more attention than he was. I wouldn't be surprised. And if that was his motive, the only thing I can say is that he seriously needs to grow the hell up.

Gerard was never sexy except to the fifteen and under set. To me he was always just this intelligent, interesting, quirky guy who had a unique set of morals and ideals. I wanted to get inside his mind, not his pants.

BOY, DO I FEEL STUPID.

I realise now just how over him and MCR I am and I have come here to say goodbye.

In the words of Bert McCracken:

"Don't want a part of it
Don't want to be seen with a type like you
I know you were born equipped
Your eyes tell lies you mouth can never spill
Can we get on with it
We both need to go our separate ways
And never be seen again
Your eyes tell lies you mouth can never spill
Your eyes tell lies you mouth can never spill

So nice to meet you
I see right through that smile so in other words
So nice to meet you
I hope I never see your face again"

Exactly. I think that's how a lot of us felt. That's why we're so disappointed with the way Gerard has turned out.

It has nothing to do with being jealous of his marriage. We were just thrown for a loop when he suddenly morphed into a completely different person in order to fit in with his new crowd of friends.

I think the red hair is the final straw somehow although it doesn't really have to do with his hair at all. It's more the realization that Gerard is none of the things I once thought he was and all of the things I hoped he wasn't. It doesn't matter whether the band breaks up or not because in my mind they're already gone.

blink, that comment was in no way meant sarcastically btw.

Pity. I was kinda hoping. After all, the comment itself seemed a little too perfect (grammatically) for someone who was using "geenlynz 4eva" as a username...

And now in recent issues, even Kerrang seem to be tiring of them.
Thank God. I can finally buy music magazines again.

It's more the realization that Gerard is none of the things I once thought he was and all of the things I hoped he wasn't. It doesn't matter whether the band breaks up or not because in my mind they're already gone.
Sad, but true.
I think that's how most of us here feel - let down by someone who we were told knew better.
The band that we knew and loved back in the beginning is dead as far as I'm concerned.
Hopefully sales of the next record will just confirm what we know - the fangirls have found new "hot guys" to obsess over. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

I feel that why as well. I also wonder if he is doing this to get rid of the fans that actually heard what he was saying back than.

Who needs fans who can think for themselves and comprehend what you are talking about, when you can have an army of mindless fans. Who will shell out mommy and daddy's money at the drop of a hat.

MCR used to represent 9 of the 25 most-played tracks on my iPod and they've been trimmed down to the bare bones too, whilst the T-shirts have been carefully bagged up and put in the loft for that time in about 20 years when the band become "ironic" and I have a teenage daughter (possibly!) to pass them on to. But, I do give fair warning. I freely admit that "I bite back" and I bite hard (especially if someone dares to mess with my family, friends or anyone I care about)!!! So, you need me to bite anyone for you? ;)

Speaking of all that poison and viciousness; IKE had better not come this way. I am NOT in the mood to deal with the crap (and wind and rain) he'll spew!

hi BC how's things?

I didn't watch the awards at all, they crap on and tell each other how wonderful they are for too long, I find them pretty dull.
Not to mention the interminable hours of red carpet prior and after party after
and isn't it sweet though that Britney thanked God, (I heard it on the radio) I always just look at her and see "living your life in a god-fearing way"

resurrected wreck said...

If God created Britney, then i definitely fear him.

But he's moved on. According to Sarah Palin, God now wants an oil pipeline through Alaska and Canada.

ergoproxy said...

oh well nice to see God is still being used to justify politics, wouldn't want to think he's only involved with musicians

there is a band here in Oz called GUD which are a satirical comedy group, the name borne from american award nights where , to our ears, everyone goes "Ih'd lark to thank Gud" he said "because that's who Americans thank at awards ceremonies, and I thought someone should be taking the credit."

Hi RW *big squeeze* how was your day? I spent mines getting my tooth fixed, then to lunch, then to the store, I just got back home. It's been raining all day.

Wednesday I'm getting my hair done, and I might get it dyed too :)

ergoproxy said...

I'm good BC not doing a whole lot, nice day at home

what colour would you do your hair?

Anonymous said...

That's good to hear Ergo.

As for color, something lighter than black. It gets old after a while. Maybeb a chestnut color or a dark red, I'm not sure.

resurrected wreck said...

Oooo! Are you goign to get your hair cut too, BC?

resurrected wreck said...

How about this colour, BC?

I may get my own hair done that colour when it grows back a bit.

ergoproxy said...

I like dark cheatnut or deep mahogany

Anonymous said...

RW, yep. I made an appointment for Wednesday. I was supposed to get it done today, but the hairstylist is booked until Wednesday so.

Ergo, those are some pretty colors.

Anonymous said...

That one is a nice color RW. I'm not sure which one to pick, because I have fair skin.

resurrected wreck said...

I think any dark would look good on fair skin.

Anonymous said...

RW, If not the hair color, I think I might get highlights as an alternative. This place I go to does an excellent job as the highlights last pretty long.

resurrected wreck said...

Anyway, time for me to turn in.

Have a lovely night, BC and EP, lurkers & late-nighters :)

ergoproxy said...

BC the real decision is whether to go with yellow based colours or blue based, your hairdresser should be able to guide you, most darker colours look better with fair skin

Mayo,

Mustard and I just got passed by a snail on the information superhighway and it spun us around and parted our hair and made our face go all weird like on the roller coasters.

And you thought it was just the wind.

Just saying...

Frozen in stills
Freeze-frame
Hold them in your hand
Memories
Shove them in a box
Surround them with glass and wood
Video
Live and streaming
Pause
Replay
Repeat
A moment to be relived a million times over.

And you can only hope they got your good side, right?

Fucking cameras, I hate 'em. They catch me being the complete dork that I am.

So you'd think I'd be extra fantabulous at being behind the camera, right? Oh fuck me, no, no I am not. I am the absolute worst picture taker in the history of picture taking. I should just stay away from cameras completely.

What the fuck was that? Goddamnit, this time a turtle passed me and Mustard. Was that Barnibus? Me thinks it was and was that a camera around his neck? Sneaky little bastard.

Love to YOU Always,

p.s. Thank God, we don't run with scissors that often. We might hurt ourselves.

Hello to all my friends both present and absent.

As I'm sure you read in L's comment last night, the Chicago show was fantastically fabulous! Every band was "on", we got to see David Costa's band, James DeWees in black Hannah Montana wear, MC Chris aka MC Pee Pants from "ATHF", and Frank wailin' on bass AND vocals.

And, we got barrier in Chicago. :) Center stage. In front of Frank. L even got spat on. How cool was that? (We also got "stage" in Pittsburgh, down at the far left corner. Pretty wild being RIGHTTHERE with the musicians.)

Warship? Not my style, but they were ok, for an only-4-months-together band. Their drummer is quite talented and may outlast the group. You just couldn't understand ANYthing the singer said. But they were enthusiastic.

David Costa and band, excellent, they will go far. He's a really nice guy, too. Acts like he's known you for a lifetime, no holding back anything.

MC Chris, again, not my style exactly, but he's good, and I've loved him on Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sealab 2021. He's a major Reggie fan, AND is from New Jersey. So he's ok in my book.

Reggie and the Full Effect: oh wow. They were so damn good! I wish I'd known about them before now. Sadly ironic that this was their farewell tour. I'm gonna miss them. James is such a good frontman, he's laid-back yet outgoing, just kind of "hey, howya doin', we're doin' a little rock show-thingy here if you don't mind." (That's probably not it at all, and I'm sorry James if I got it all wrong. I'll buy you some new HM gear at Wally World.) I don't think I've ever seen anyone else play the keys as enthusiastically as James does. With the possible exception of Billy Joel.

Frank on bass is amazing. I didn't even know he could play bass until the Lovecats performed. But seeing him play with RATFE blew me away. Even with a broken wrist, wrapped and braced, he basically burned the strings off that motherfucker. And looked cool doing it.

Leathermouth? Oh HELL yeah! Raw, pounding, throbbing, loud, gut-ripping, jaw-dropping, powerful Old School PUNK. They put on the best show of all 5 acts, in Chicago, if you ask me. (BTW, the moustache looks even better in person. AS DOES THE WEIGHT.)

But Pittsburgh, I don't know what happened before the show, but whatever it was sucked the spark out of EVERYone. Frank was obviously agitated about something b/c we saw him smoking about 4 cigarettes before, during, and after the show. L told you what James had said to him. Frank looked like, I don't give a fuck if I should or not, just let me smoke.

When we saw him after the Chicago show, he was extremely happy, smiled a lot (L got a pic of the two of us; he had that same old beautiful smile on his face), joked around, etc. After the Pittsburgh show, you could tell he wasn't feeling well, upset about something, preoccupied. My guess is, Gerard. Seems everybody, even the audience, was off Friday night. I was really tired myself, and hurting, so I can only imagine how Frank was feeling.

Frank, I know you'll never read this, but I'm sorry Friday went the way it did. If life only had a "do over" button, hunh? I hope things are going better for you, and that your lung infection is improving, and you're taking care of your wrist. (I've had some sleep, and some pain meds, and am feeling much better, thanks.) Oh, and one more thing: please, try to stop smoking, especially while you're sick. It makes it twice as difficult to breathe. And sing. And walk. And live. Trust me on this one. :/

Overall, it was a great trip, with the bonus of seeing Elena and Flighty-Girl. We had a terrific time with you two! Flighty, don't let Mom near any stray luggage carts for a while, ok? :D And thanks to both of you for helping me Wednesday night. I appreciate and love you for it.

I'm gone, kids. My hands are hurting too much tonight. Take it easy.

love, faith, hope, road trips, friends, flat tires, hydroplaning

Oh, and one more thing:

"Only on the Internet..."

toujours said...

hello amyranth and ergo, and hello j. thank you for telling us more about your shows. i hope everything is okay. *sigh*

Hi TJ, Amy, Ergo, anon :)

Goodnight J. Glad you guys had a good time.

Amyranth said...

After the Pittsburgh show, you could tell he wasn't feeling well, upset about something, preoccupied. My guess is, Gerard.

Hah? Gerard? What happened?

ergoproxy said...

hi J
glad you had a good time

as for why they were agitated, could have been gerard, could have been something else, I just hope Frank is looking after his health, he doesn't want to end up needing weeks to get over it after the tour finishes.
He pushes himself hard, but if you're sick smoking isn't a good idea, but sometimes stress makes you make less healthy decisions

take care and good to know you're back safe

ergoproxy said...

I agree amy, I kinda wonder if they all are so involved in each others lives, but I suppose taken with James comment it may lead the reasoning that way

Amyranth said...

Okay, utterly, completely lost here.

What James comment? What's up with Frank? Is he depressed about Gerard's hair?

Anonymous said...

Nothing happened with Gerard, it's just the OPS pretending that Frank told them some secret about Gerard that they can't 'tell yall. They know when they say "we know you'll never read this" they want you to believe he WILL read it. They just want to believe they are in on some secret. But even more than that they want every one to believe it.

Anonymous said...

You knew they were going to come here after their "SECRET" show that they didn't want to tell anyone about but put on their blog, and pretend that Frank had become their BEFFIE and told them all of his problems. You could have seen this coming hell... even before LM went on tour.

toujours said...

hello bc. sorry to read that you have to have work done on your tooth. *ick*

toujours said...

amyranth, when l. wrote about the show the other night, she reported that james had made some comment during the show that seemed to be a snide reference to gerard. it was just the night before the last, if you want to try back-reading?

Amyranth said...

11:52, and 11:53, I didn't ask you for your smart-ass opinions about my friends, okay?

Seriously, god forbid something may have actually happened to somebody and I'm merely trying to find out.

Anonymous said...

Thanks TJ. I'm okay now though :)

Amy, James made a comment during the Pittsburgh performance, apparently about Gerard. Something about him being a dick?

ergoproxy said...

James said that he was the only one half dressed and he could be a dick and ask the guys to take their shirts off

Anonymous said...

Amy, I don't mind that you didn't ask.

Amyranth said...

Ah yes, taking the piss on Gerard.

Okay, nothing major. Although I still bet you that Frank is depressed over Gerard's hair.

toujours said...

so, anyway -- guess what i read tonight?

it's an old article, as it turns out -- from april 2006 -- but this dude has figured out where ithaca, odysseus' island, actually is! it's pretty amazing, and they found the ruins of a bronze age fortification, which might just be odyssues' palace. it blows my mind, to think that maybe someday you could walk there, and stand maybe where athena appeared to him, and where he strung his bow, and where penelope waited, so faithfully.

oh man. so very, very cool. don't you think? :D

Amyranth said...

You know Teej, I'll level with you, I had no idea that Ithaca might NOT have existed.

I've read a lot of mythology in my time, and I've never thought for a moment that the places weren't real. Isn't there an actual location of Apollo's temple and the tripod his priestesses used to sit on?

Anonymous said...

It's not going to be a happy time when the OPS reveal that Frank told them another secret (aren't they the ones he has a "SPECIAL CONNECTION" to according to MCR Rumour control)?? and it is that he is not happy with Gerard. What will Elena and TJ do? Ignore the OPS from now on? This is about to get interesting!!!

Amyranth said...

Anyway girls, I gotta take off. Another busy day at work.

Goodnight Lovelies, Mayo and SS.

ergoproxy said...

oh wow TJ

my parents are going to Delphi
I'd love to see it for real

Anonymous said...

Amy, I don't know about depressed, I would be laughing at the hair. Gerard's hair looks ridiculous, but yet, it's fun to poke fun at ^_^

toujours said...

amyranth, you make me giggle. :)

and yep, apollo's temple is at delphi. i don't think the actual piece of furniture exists anymore, but i remember a few years ago reading a newspaper article about how in the depths of the temple there's a fissure in the ground, and the theory is that the oracles sat over the fissure and breathed in the fumes...volcanic, and so became god-touched with a little chemical help.

and they know the location of troy, of course, and myceneae (and i'm not sure i spelled that correctly...), but according to that article, odysseus' island had eluded scholars for years.

and it was a non-scholar who put the pieces of the puzzle together. :)

oh! while i'm writing my own illiad here, amyranth, have you ever come across the comic book age of bronze? eric shanower is the creator, and he's retelling the story of the trojan war, as archaelogically authentically as possible. his black and white drawings are amazing, truly gorgeous (i love his lines) and his writing is excellent, as well.

he figures it's going to take him ten years to tell the entire story. :)

it's something that we don't really appreciate here in america, ergo. of course, there are ancient cultures here in north america, but we only think about our own, and the oldest places date back to the 17th century.

i remember our first excursion when i was studying in london -- we had only been there a day, and we went as a group to the tower of london. just outside the tube station is a standing roman wall.

it was never torn down.

i just stopped. i couldn't walk any further for a long while, just staring at this piece of actual physical history, thinking about the men who had built it...

ever since then, something from the 17th or 18th centuries seems so shiny and new and really quite shallow.

my hand in the same place as so many ancient others

it's a truly awe-inspiring experience, idn't it? suddenly, you become aware of the long line of humanity...

i took an asian art history course in college, and one day the prof passed around a few of her own artifacts. one piece was a fragment of jomon pottery, which is the oldest japanese culture. prehistoric.

as i held it, i realized there was a thumbprint in the clay, so clear that you could still discern the lines.

this is amazing in itself, but i happened to taking a potter course at the same time, and holding that shard, seeing that thumbprint, knowing the feel and scent of clay, and having left my own thumbprint on clay just that morning...

it was time travel, pure and simple.

don't you feel such a connection when you actually hold and examine something from the past, like your roman glass? it's amazing.
