Manifestation Monster

Wax and wane, spit out the profane
He found it fit to sit and complain.
And in the shit still, remain
Spirit coursing diligent, but in vain.

He is unraveling spools for the core.
He is unknown: “The Word Whore”
Has every opportunity for more,
But now at last he has become the boar.

p.s. not even (a lex icon) the sharpest ink will get you out of that paper bag.

Oh Carrie, that is such a waste. I actually did that once, didn't vote. Then another time I voted for Nader. I blame myself for this mess.

Anonymous said...

On that note, I am off to bed.

LEWIS! I hope you see my messages to you on the last page.

Good night!

ergoproxy said...

well shh you are welcome over my place anytime. :)

cooking is my specialty so I'm sure we can come to an arrangement

Hi & bye, K :)

I've ammended my poem to avoid any more confusion.

Gerard Way
Saved the day.
He(ALLEGEDLY) fixed the bus
His wife's okay.
His hair is(ALLEGEDLY) pink.
He missed the show.
This is the way
the rumors grow.

ergoproxy said...

goodnight K sweet dreams

Carrie said...

He's going to vote, he claims, but not for the main candidates.

Anonymous said...

That's okay J. Haha, thanks TJ. Glad I could make you laugh. Sometimes I would make them do the splits, but if I wasn't doing that, I would rip their heads or legs out just for fun.

Most little girls my age would have played jump rope or dress up their dolls, but I spent most of my childhood playing sports, video games, collecting X-men cards and going to my local comic book store with my brother. I also fought a lot, although I'm not sure if I should be proud of that.

resurrected wreck said...

So his hair may not actually be pink?

Pity. I would have liked to have seen that.

toujours said...

i say, that's very decent of you, 10:29. good show, and all that.

Carrie said...

10:29, you crack me up, and shhh I can talk old{er) films, I loves them. But also, as soon as I say that, you will inevitably mention something that makes me go HUH?

resurrected wreck said...

I find him dying his hair pink much more believable than him fixing a bus.

toujours said...

oh, bc. your poor, poor barbies. :)

Original Punk J said...

I have burgundy hair, does that count?

resurrected wreck said...

My hair's burgundy too, J! :)

toujours said...

i never did pink hair, myself. i prefer the cool end of the spectrum: blue, green, purple...

elegant, classy colors.

ergoproxy said...

I used to hold my barbies in hostage situations, one had her hair cut short and stubble drawn to be the bad guy
I never had boy dolls :(

but then I got transformers :) I still have Starscream (and others but he was my favourite)

Carrie said...

My hair kinda looks like a calico cat right now. I thought I was gonna try and go natural, but now I'm looking in the mirror and going eeehhhhhh.

ergoproxy said...

mine was purple with pink streaks 2 years ago

resurrected wreck said...

O_O

Do you have any pics?

Carrie said...

Ergo, I still have my Star Trek dolls, plus the Enterprise Playset.

toujours said...

ergo, i actually had a ken doll you could shave. he came with a special marker and a sponge-bladed razor. it was weird.

but they gave him really deep dimples, and i could never shave him clean! *sigh*

resurrected wreck said...

Classy green hair??

toujours said...

wow, carrie. that's cool.

toujours said...

yes! yes, it was very classy! and mossy.

but classy!

Carrie said...

OMG TJ, I remember him! He totally looked like Miami Vice Ken before he got shaved.

resurrected wreck said...

Mossy can totally be classy!

So can calico!

Anonymous said...

P.S. That's why I never said I was a delicate little flower in the first place. I'm more of an amazon warrior underneath ^_~

Lol Ergo. Those poor barbie dolls ^_^

toujours said...

yeah! that was him carrie! he had white plastic shoes and a tennis racquet, too.

resurrected wreck said...

I dismembered my Barbie & buried her in the backyard.

Carrie said...

yeah, I always kinda thought of him as gay Ken, but oh wait, wasn't there one that had a freaking mullet?

toujours said...

calico is classy with a soupçon of daring joie de vivre.

ergoproxy said...

somewhere I do RW I'll have a look

Carrie said...

RW, I actually gave my Barbies to my ex boyfriend's little sister, a dumbhead move on my part.

toujours said...

carrie, i thought that the shaving ken had a mullet? hmmm.

resurrected wreck, that's so reverent of you.

ergoproxy said...

classy moss?

o.....k......

resurrected wreck said...

Barbie deserved a decent burial I thought, TJ.

Carrie, do you wish you'd kept your Barbies?

Carrie said...

Oh ha, guess it was the same horror of Ken doll all wrapped up in one!

ergoproxy said...

I think mine are still at my parents

however our house is complete with Barbies and Bratz now. and I have to say Bratz are scary

Carrie said...

Yeah, RW, I wish I had, because Annie would have dug them. I remember playing with my Aunt's old Barbies when I was a kid and thinking they were the shit.

You're a sick woman, RW. O_o

I liked stuffed animals much more. Still do.

resurrected wreck said...

You're a sick woman, RW. O_o

Hee! ;P

Carrie said...

It's the feet poppy off thing that disturbs me, Ergo. Or wait, is it their big heads? Or no, is it the fact that they dress like whores? Annie, bless her heart, actually got up early this morning (she's practicing for school) and had a Bratz doll Church service. And she was all like, is this dress good for Church? And I'm like no honey, you can see her coochie.

resurrected wreck said...

I was never much of a doll person, carrie, but I used to love to go through my grandma's trunks in the attic and play dress-up with her old clothes.

resurrected wreck said...

And she was all like, is this dress good for Church? And I'm like no honey, you can see her coochie.

HAHA!!

I'm sure that pic is Photoshopped.

Do you remember still the falling stars
that like swift horses through the heavens raced
and suddenly leaped across the hurdles
of our wishes--do you recall? And we
did make so many! For there were countless numbers
of stars: each time we looked above we were
astounded by the swiftness of their daring play,
while in our hearts we felt safe and secure
watching these brilliant bodies disintegrate,
knowing somehow we had survived their fall.

goodnight RW sweet dreams

Anonymous said...

not good ep.predicting to hit Monday morning. damn. they dont even know the so called experts. weather channel is saying it is still a category 4 storm. very scary

ergoproxy said...

my 10th anniversary is in 27 days and I'm not intending for my or my hubby's hair to be pink, but it would be an interesting way to celebrate...

ergoproxy said...

thanks anon, we get updates but only in scheduled news shows, is there a good website to get info? a weather tracker thing?

Anonymous said...

Monkeys and pink hair, they go hand in hand...

Anonymous said...

Don't forget matching unicorn t-shirts.

Anonymous said...

yeah, www.weather.com it is the weather channel we have here as a 24 hr program if you will. most exciting i must say. rolls eyes.

ergoproxy said...

I was in a category 4 cyclone when I was a kid, luckily it hit at low tide and the eye didn't cross the coast, but it did a lot of damage, our roof was torn off and we had to run out to the house next door. I will never forget the sound.

Anonymous said...

curently new Orleans La has a tornado watch in place now as well.

Anonymous said...

ep did you think of the wizard of oz? or were you too young? how old were you? that must have been terrifying for you

ergoproxy said...

I was 4 1/2
but I remember it really vividly, it was really scary, christmas morning, but it was so dark.
And I remember going around after and looking at all the damage, I can still picture it.
I have copies of the papers too, it was one of Australias worst

ergoproxy said...

no anon she is on her own.

that's why we are worried, but she says she's prepared adn was there for katrina
I just keep praying she's ok

if anyone is interested, I was in Althea in '71, the one people mostly know is Tracey in '74

Anonymous said...

1:23,

That sucks. I hope the warning passes without incident. I just saw the weather channel, and it said Gustav is now a category 3. And it looks like it's heading west of New Orleans, which could mean that there might not be any serious damage in that area after all.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope everyone is safe. You too sugarplum.

Anonymous said...

Ergo I remember watching something on National Geographic about cyclones.

Was that Tracy?

Anon try not to be too concerned for Gerard. His wife will look after him.

I guess i still think (or would like to think) deep down the old Gee is in there! Dying to escape and cant
shrugs shoulders. I dunno anymore

Vivienne said...

Mayo, SS, darlings.

I always, always think of you. lately, I've thought of you a lot, as I've been away.

I think the best way to explain is with an excerpt from my latest blog.

The world slipped away, crumbled, I fell.

It was night, approaching morning and I dropped into darkness.

I found myself in a hospital bed, lights glaring down at me, and I knew I'd gone crazy.

But I came back, clawed my way out, out of a world where we shuffled around instead of walking, a place where time stood still and checks were performed at night. A place where sharp objects were removed and pills dolled out at meal times.

And now? well now I just don't know.

I miss you all, I hope you're well.

XOXO cupcake

Anonymous said...

Whoa, Ep,I've never heard of those storms. Stupid Amercians (yes we are at times) were not always informed of major catastrophies from around the world especially at those times.
You never forget such a traumatic event even at that tender age.
Your house was ok right?

BC, I hope you are right. Cat 3 is a little better than a cat 4.Less damage. I am watching the weather channel right now too.
I know wendy said her bro and sis in law wanted to go get her on their way out. maybe they just forced her to go. I hope she did.

Anonymous said...

I hope so too 1:41. Evacuations were mandatory. I hope she got out. I'll keep an eye on the weather just in case.

I miss you cupcake. I hope you and your grandpa are well. Take care love.

Anonymous said...

There they go, the weather channel talking about the oil refineraries that will be affected. Bunch of shit.

ergoproxy said...

as of this morning she said she was staying put

anon we are a long way off, and you're such a big country you have tons of your own news.
our worst recently was Cyclone Larry a couple of years a go, hit a town north of me called Innisfail and all but destroyed it, also all the banana plantations etc, it was around the same time as Katrina and over here we couldn't believe how different the response was, the govt sent crews straight in, builders and plumbers etc gave up their own jobs to travel up to help for no fee.
We couldn't comprehend how the US was so different

Nat geo anon it would have been Tracey if it was film from '70's or Larry if recent

ergoproxy said...

CUPCAKE!!!

I just got a message from Wendy, she is ok has electricity and her dogs are fine, a few bad squalls so far, it's 12:50 am and she's going to try and get some sleep, they expect the worst from 4 am.

Unfortunately, oil prices can be directly affected by natural disasters, and even during crisis in other countries. Typically they increase when such disaster occurs. It could happen with Gustuv, and if it happens, the consumer can feel a tighter pinch at the gas pumps, especially since gas is near $4.00 a gallon right now.

It's politics and economics at work. But let, they still suck.

And I got an email from Wendy. She's still alive and well, and is okay, but says that she expects tomorrow to be a rough one

ergoproxy said...

BC any excuse puts up fuel prices!

Anonymous said...

Haha, okay Ergo had the email thing covered already :p

Goodnight anon, sweet dreams.

And to say this: Worrying about the oil refineries is nothing compared to worrying about how many lives and pets are being put at risk from a hurricane(Albeit a stupid hurricane)

Anonymous said...

That's true Ergo. I really hope that with this hurricane, FEMA will do a better job. They did such a half-assed job when Katrina hit three years ago.

And it's disheartening to hear that there's so much corruption in the city government, from what Wendy had told me once.

Sometimes I hate politics. And wow, are we the only ones here?

ergoproxy said...

looks like we might be BC

I can tell you those of us overseas were shocked and disgusted at the treatment of people after Katrina, by the government but also by each other. It was a sad reflection of the lack of care for your fellow man

Anonymous said...

Yeah, it was disheartening to see that. Hopefully, this time mistakes were learned. I hope so.

Well, I'm gonna sign off for the night. Goodnight TJ and Ergo, sweet dreams guys. ♥

Sugarplum: Lots of love and kisses to you! I'm not much of a prayer type of person, but you are in my thoughts. Be safe! *smothers with kisses* and kick that stupid hurricane's warm current ass to the curve! :p

Cupcake: ♥

J: I hope tomorrow is a better day for you ♥ to you and L.

Night guys!

Hiya Bc, Ergo.

Horrified, enraged, disgusted -and humilatied. By whom most? Our own government for abandoning our people? Or our own people turning on each other? Not sure which was worse. But both was like driving past a car accident, you can't help, it makes you sick and scared -but you can't look away either.

Nothing so any of us could do. Too poor to send money. WAY too poor to actually make it there to help. No idea why Real (governement) help wasn't coming. It was terrifying. And seeing their poor Mayor. God, he made me cry. It was like no one -Anywhere understood what was going on. I PRAY that doesn't happen again.

ergoproxy said...

Hi lewis that's what I thought

I think the people turning on each other made it so much worse, there were stories of human kindness etc but the rest was so horrible.
You may not always be able to rely on governments (though for the most powerful and richest country in the world it was a very poor effort)
but the tales of human cruelty and violence were just awful

I really hope the whole world learned a lesson from it

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

How you doing tonight Ergo??

Good god, I hope so. If that happens again. We just aren't worth it as a species.

At the time, I had about 12 million news channels. It was like -which horrid and in depth detail shall I watch to make my heart ache and my stomach turn today?? That really was the worst, you are right. People -jesus, the shit they did was Immense. And far beyond what I thought humans capable of. That is what really scares me with people staying there. When things get desperate -things get primative.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Hiya Tj! nighty night! the kitties were disgustingly wonderful! Really -I saved the pics! And I showed 'em off! And I made annoying little 'awwz!' noises again and again! Thank you for sharing those!! Have a good one! <3

I'm good thanks lewis, waiting for hubby to get home from work
It was so different to see that happening there while we had cyclone Larry here, the difference was incredible, and same with our recent flood disaster.

what's up with you?

lewis it still does it but not as badly, I'm using drops which seem to be making it better slowly, I can sleep properly now

ergoproxy said...

what airfreshener did you get?

some smell awful I have one of those liquid ones that sit over the air vent, you can buy refills for them, mine is currently "Speed"

zoooooooooooom

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Ah ha ha! We accidentall bought one that smells like that ---er, soap?---they put in urinals. gah. Every time we opened the doors it was like "WHOA! EWWWW!" ;p It was kinda funny, but uhh after about a month the funny rather stopped. It was one of those frivolus purchases that you knew you shouldn't have, but ya really wanted too.. So we left it. It was AWFUL.

And walls, can't live with 'em, uhh well no. I guess you really kind of need them -for that whole 'House Thing' to work. Are you getting exctied? Is hub going with you?

elena said...

Is the hub going with me? To a Reggie and Leathermouth concert? Do pigs fly? Sorry...

Uh no, he's not going.

The air freshener was called Black Ice. Nice little black pine tree. Man did it smell.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

You can smell Speed? Oh wow. Theres a whole other place that question could go. Not sure I like that!

We have a little strawberry airfreshener. It oddly though, does not smell like strawberry. Even that 'oh so fake and plastic strawberry.' Kinda smells like gum. Ha.

Glad to hear it at least didn't get worse. That stuff so grandly messes with you're equallibrium. (Huh Elena!?) I had vertigo (uh, not the movie) for some time a couple years back. No reason why, and nothing the doc could do. He was like -"yea, sorry... 50 bucks please." Jerk.
;p

toujours said...

mayo,

a pink bubble may seem frivolous, but it's just as much a prayer as any other device.

our thoughts always reach each other, no matter how they are sent -- that is how it works, being human. we are tied together in so many ways, and so many of them are invisible.

we worry about our friends, and we do what is in our individual natures to help them and comfort them, always as best we can.

even if it's just a prayer.

even if it's just a pink bubble.

good night, mayo. sleep well.

elena said...

Nope not going by myself. I was planning on it but my flighty daughter asked if she could go with me because she didn't want me going alone since I've been sick.

Okay not sure how this is gonna go but hey it was sweet of her to ask and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact she really wants to go to the House of Blues.

This is gonna be a strange trip!

ergoproxy said...

oh lewis I love CK "one" but the aftershave, not the female one.
I always buy male deodorant too, I much prefer the smell, though I wear perfume, girly deodorants seem to compete

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Wow Ergo -for an infection that sounds pretty cool! ;p Dig that name!!

And hey, ya never know -you could totally convert her...wouldn't other such memebers of you're family LOVE that... muhwah. ;p You guys will have fun! I know it!! How could you not at a sweaty loud handsome fellowed concert!?? Please!!

CK, Ergo -has made two of my fave perfumes. And I totally get what you mean about girly deoderants. And seriously, the more Female pretty they smell -the less they seem to work really! And if my hairspray, my perfume, my lotion and on the odd occasion (weird trend) my nair polish ALL SMELL like something different -it's better for anyone near me if I try to cut back Somewhere! ha!

Yeah I know and she's all excited cause she'd gonna get to drive my car. I told her she could drive part of the way. It's just kinda weird. She and I have never taken a trip together since she's no longer a little girl. I have to remember she's a adult and that's hard sometimes.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Oh I see what you mean now. That would be hard to let go of Elena. But truthfully -there are times when we don't want to be anything But our mama's little girls. Hard line to walk. But it is a really good opportunity for you both then. Really. You could really have some good conversation. Just really get to know each other -As Adults. ;p Ya know? You should be excited! I would be nervous too, but this is really a great chance for you guys.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Lordy. I don't think I could Really any more.

..really. :P

elena it'll be a good time to connect with the adult her, probably it's not something you'd be able to do otherwise, have that time, just the two of you

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

(the walls have taken her ergo....hide.)

:(

elena said...

Yeah, I'm sure we'll have a great time.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Well, golly Elena.. Don't sound too enthused! ;p I am sure it will be fun. Like an adventure. And if all else fails -bring lots of music!

the walls are going to get me?

No Ergo.... but their watching you....

O_O

Their dirty like that. ;p

I do want her to go with me. It's not that. I really can't explain without it sounding really wrong.

She's just so much like her dad. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Not at all, I'm very proud of her. She has a strong personality. Very outgoing, people like her. She can walk into a room and within an hour she is talking to people like they are old friends. People warm to her easily. I have lived with her father who is the same way for years. It's just that when I'm with them I fade. Might as well stand in the corner and not be there.

See this sounds bad and I'm not explaining it at all well.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

No, no Elena. I completely get you loves. It could go really well. Or it could be just as you said. Rather happened with me taking my cousin to the MCR gig back in April. Was probably one of the worst times I've had. She wasn't a fan. She didn't get it. I mean, ALL of it. As I know you know. ...Uh, ya know?? ;p

Doesn't sound bad at all Elena. Sounds totally logical, and Honest. I hope it goes better. But I do see where it could lead. I am hoping for better. But it the latter comes -fuck it babe. You better just let go and enjoy yourself. As your daughter, I am sure, will be quick to point out --You're both adults now. Have YOUR good time!

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

And I am serious Elena, if she starts to get a tude or mock you -just let it go and enjoy yourself. Step away. Enjoy the moment. Don't Not do something you would have, had you not felt inhibited. Think about it this way -when do you think this chance may come again? I missed mine. I didn't even try. (It would have been moot, apparently; but it haunts me that I didn't even try -cuz I didn't want to hear it. Ya know?) So you can aim for a good time with your daughter Elena, but just remember -this is for You Too.

elena I know what you mean , and it doesn't sound bad, I know when I'm with some people I tend to feel like a fade out, then other situations I can come across as really confident and together.
But the fading is a bit of a choice, for me anyway, maybe it'll give her a chance to see you for you, not in comparison t anyone else, and get to know the great person you are.
You don't need to fade elena, you have so much to give, you just have to believe it

ergoproxy said...

and I agree with lewis, it's what you want to do and you deserve to enjoy every bit of it, don't feel responsible (though you will, but after knowing she is right in her own respect - phone, money, place to meet if you get separated) for her enjoyment, you are going to enjoy yourself and goddamn it you had better enjoy yourself or we shall have to revoke your Sainthood!!!

I'm no saint. Just a confused woman who keeps looking for answers to questions that really don't make a bit of difference one way of the other.

Anyway, thanks for listening. See you tomorrow.

lewishasfallensloppydead said...

Aww Elena. We can see the glow dear. ;) But we are all looking for answers sometime. I think that is at our core, no matter how different we all think or seem to be from each other -inside we are the same. And we are all still asking Elena. You be well, loves.

You too Ergo! I hope the wooshing goes. Love to you ladies, nighty night

(sorry, I can't seem to sit still long enough to learn the linky trick.)

(Oh and so as not to confuse and make people search ---in english too. The song is pure glory. I hope anyone likes it.)

NON, JE NE REGRETTE RIEN
Paroles: Michel Vaucaire, musique: Charles Dumont, enr. 10 novembre 1960

Non, rien de rien
No, nothing at all

Non, je ne regrette rien
No, I don't regret anything at all

Ni le bien qu'on m'a fait
Nor the good that was given me

ni le mal, Tout ça m'est bien égal
Nor the evil. They’re all the same

Non, rien de rien
No, nothing at all

Non, je ne regrette rien
I don't regret anything at all

C'est payé, balayé, oublié
It’s all paid for, wiped out, and forgotten

Je me fous du passé
And I don't care for what’s gone by

Avec mes souvenirs
With my memories

J'ai allumé le feu
I’ve lit a fire

Mes chagrins, mes plaisirs
My sorrows, my pleasures

Je n'ai plus besoin d'eux
I don’t need them anymore

Balayés mes amours
My romances wiped out

Avec leurs tremolos
With the tremblings they braught

Balayés pour toujours
Wiped out forever

Je repars à zéro
I set out once more from zero

Non, rien de rien
No, nothing at all

Non, je ne regrette rien
I don't regret anything at all

Ni le bien qu'on m'a fait
Nor the good that was given me

ni le mal, Tout ça m'est bien égal
Nor the evil. They’re all the same

Non, rien de rien
No, nothing at all

Non, je ne regrette rien
I don't regret anything at all

Car ma vie
Because my life

Car mes joies
Because my joys

Aujourd'hui
Today

Ça commence avec toi...
It all begins with you…
