For giving myself time.

We are all in some way the same. Any of us can be traced on parchment and placed over another and the outline will match, at some point. Keep turning the page until it fits just right. Call it coincidence, if you will.

I can hold you up against me and often the lines match up perfect.

The following is an excerpt from an old handwritten journal.

Yesterday I saw my reflection and waited for an answer. I stood there like an idiot, swaying and staring. It took a while, but what I found was strength and self-respect. The bags packed themselves and walked right out the door. My hand held tightly to all that really mattered, my own heart. All of my abandon had left the poor thing in a sad state, atrophied. But if I am patient and use it a little more each day it will regain its once youthful bounce. It will be fit for giving...forgiving. Forgiving.

(I needed the white noise as well.)

p.s. it is yours and no one can take it away.

MJ, I'd demand to see a specialist now. Seriously, it could be something that really needs attention, and if your GP can't catch it, you need someone who can.

And, see ya!

Holy crap but sometimes I have to admit I feel so out of place here.

Hi Guys,

resurrected wreck said...

Hi, Solly! :)

ergoproxy said...

elena I just woke up so it's just kind of a low hum to me until the caffeine kicks in

hi sdock

RW I saw you don't like the colour now. After all your work, red isn't always restful but give it time before you decide, maybe you need to adjust your lighting at night, make it more muted?

resurrected wreck said...

Actually, EP, now that my headache has subsided I'm liking the red much better. I'm not going to put the second coat on for a bit yet though, just in case.

ergoproxy said...

thats good RW, having a headache is going to make anything seem harsh.
you could do a light wash of white over it to lighten the tone a bit or use a textured roller to break it up but after you get used to it you'll probably love it

resurrected wreck said...

And once I add linen curtains and wall hangings/posters it should brighten it up a treat!

resurrected wreck said...

A word of advice: Don't try to shave your legs in the dark.

Not as bad as they could have been. Just got a bit of a gash on one leg. But it's stopped bleeding now so it's all good!

this is why tourists are occasionally eaten in these rivers, noone in their right mind would swim up there.

anyone seen the movie Crocodile Dundee?

I swam in the billabong the woman was snapped at in the movie, and there are no crocs there, well no salties, freshwater are little.
And I also met the buffalo in the movie and have been to a lot of the places it shows

Anonymous said...

I could use some good thoughts 9:22, so thanks. Now, should I have some leftover b-day cake and icecream, or is it too late for so much sugar?

Heyho, Mayo.

There aren't many things I've happened upon that remind me so much of the aura of this place as this, Chopin's Prelude No.4 in E minor.

I don't have an ear for classical music, but this is my most favorite piece, and every time I hear it now, it reminds me of here. Don't ask, because I don't know. :)

I hope you're doing well and that we get to see you around sometime!

SS, dude!

O_O These iz my bi-noculars. I cannot see you though. Remind us next time to dress you up in flourescent orange stuff so we can't lose you. Or maybe we should invent our own SS tracker or something, yeah? Bwuahaha.

I hope you're okay and that everyone on your end is well and good. See you around sometime. :)

Swirls of goodness vary depending on what you were doing while creating them.

Anonymous said...

Amyranth, I don't know what you're talking about but congrats and I hope your head is ok.
*offers a towel*

Amyranth said...

Well, I went to Dairy Queen to get a Peanut Buster Parfait. It's started to rain while I was gone, a good ol Heat Thunderstorm, and when it got really heavy, I worried about hail. So I went to bring the plants under the eaves of the house, and I tripped on the deck, and fell head first into the grate that covers my back patio door.

So I'm wet and sore with a lump on my head, but the ice cream was good, so it's worth it.

-A

Anonymous said...

Thanks for explaining 9:45.

Also, you may want to get your eyes checked if you are squinting. Or, if you wear glasses, put them on. It helps.

:D

Amyranth said...

*accepts the towel that 9:50 has offered*

And now, I hope that the rain stops in time for the fireworks, in about an hour or more. Sucks if they get postponed.

Right now my puppy is throwing things at me. He actually just sailed something clean over my head into the DVD rack.

Hi BC

sdock10 said...

Mayo,

How was your Sunday? I hope it was nice and laid back and relaxing, unless you wanted it to be exciting, rowdy, and rockin'! You know? Whatever works for ya. I hope you worked it out just the way you wanted.

Yeah, but no. I did not remember what it was that I was supposed to tell you, so here's what I'm thinking. I am all dosed up for night night sleep, so maybe it will come to me again tonight in my dreams. I'm just hoping that it's not too late. It would really suck that I was supposed to tell you this on Friday and here it is going to be Monday and well, fuck I mean what can I do except be really sorry about the whole thing. But, I'm sure it's something that can wait. I think, or maybe it's nothing that can't wait. What? Yeah.

I have one full week of my new life behind me. Whoop! Whoop! And this week, it's all about keeping on keeping on. Moving forward and not looking back. Oh sure, I'll turn around every now and then just to make sure those fucking demons are not getting ready to tap me on my shoulder or take my legs out from under me. If they are, I think I will just stop, turn around, and ask them, "what the fuck do you want now? Seriously." I can be deadly serious, ya know?

So, here's what the week ahead has in store for me so far...work, a fucking tropical storm/hurricane, roadtrip to Orlando, Leathermouth, Reggie, and meeting Fimble Star. Oh and then more work!

It's bound to be jappy madness!

What do you have planned?

Love to YOU Always,
S

p.s. Space to fill and time to kill.

What am I up to? Well, I am currently sitting here talking with all these lovely people and yourself. This is the first time I have sat down all day. Having a party is a lot of work. Also, my daughter starts back to school tomorrow so we had a lot of last minute preparations to make. Have you ever helped a 5th grader pick out a first day back outfit? It's not as fun as it sounds.

I'm ok, not much going on around here. Mom told me today she "needs to talk" to me about something tomorrow. Since then I've been feeling like I'm under an anvil suspended by a rope that's unravelling. Can't imagine what it is, but I knew from the tone of her voice that it's not gonna be Happy Fun Day. :P

Hey BC, how's the bathroom renovation coming?

Original Punk J said...

Two cats, one cat carrier. Cardboard may become a weapon if it's placed between the two cats. Can you see the one in the back getting pissed about the cardboard being there, chewing it to bits, and then smacking the other cat because it's in the front?

Some people have been known to put a cat in a pillowcase for short transports.

Hey TJ, actually I was thinking more along the lines of Kix. Or maybe I'll just make French (Scotch) toast with it instead. :)

BC, my weekend was sort of par for the course. Spent yesterday with the family, today with my bed (I love naps), and am now listening to the classical music channel. Big excitement all around! :)

Oh, and trying to get through this 700-page book. It's good, but oh so much of it!

J, it's usually not so bad, but after a rainstorm, and a long sweaty walk in the heat, I resemble a Lion going through puberty. Just lovely.

Which book are you reading?

hi again amy

J I am thinking I'll have a short trial, but may have to find a second box, may have a cage at dad in laws, one we have is too big

Tkj camping boxes don't have air holes, but are pretty big, and cat is small....

wow, amyranth -- a competition? that would be worth going out to see, definitely. i bet each team pulls out all the stops.

what's the book, j.?

Amyranth said...

Teej, it is definitely worth the watch, that's for sure!

Ergo, what do you have to take the cats in for?

*waves her hand in front of Ergo's face*

Hi honey, we're over here.

Can you have the Vet make a house call by any chance, if it's just vaccinations?

It's Wild Fire, by Nelson DeMille. It's about this group of rich, right-wing Republican men (hey, I think that may be redundant) who have some nuclear suitcase bombs. They're planning to detonate them in a major US city and then blame Islam for it. That way, the US's contingency plan (code name Wild Fire) will automatically fire nuclear weapons at Islam, thereby destroying all the terrorists at once. (This takes place during Oct 2002, btw.)

The more I read of it, the more I realize how real this scenario could be, and we have no knowledge of it.

ergo, if the drive isn't long, as you say, maybe the cat in the camping box could be supervised, with the lid cracked open?

OWND!

J, sounds like a neat book. It's sad that everything now is about terrorism, when there's so many worse things going on in the world.

Of course, that's spoken as a true Canadian.

amy they can but charge for it, we are too far out of town
we had an old vet (well he wasn't old, in his late 40's) who ran the vets but he died quite suddenly a few years ago.
He would have called in if he was going past to another job

Here's a thought, Ergo. Give each of them 1cc of Benadryl, it'll make them sleepy for easier transport in the carrier together! Hey, it works for Logan. He's out like a light.

*snaps fingers in front of Ergo's face*

Come back from Happy Toro-Land, honey! It IS nice, though; Happy Ieroville is always a place I like to visit. :D

I'm reading, and re-reading Discworld books. I finished "Guards! Guards!" awhile ago, and went and borrowed Color of Magic and ... the other one.

...

I really can't remember which one it is.

-A is going senile

DeMille is one of my favorite authors; I've read most of what he's written. They usually are fast reads, so it's not as bad as it may sound. It's very good so far, Amy. Have you read any of his stuff?
