For giving myself time.

We are all in some way the same. Any of us can be traced on parchment and placed over another and the outline will match, at some point. Keep turning the page until it fits just right. Call it coincidence, if you will.

I can hold you up against me and often the lines match up perfect.

The following is an excerpt from an old handwritten journal.

Yesterday I saw my reflection and waited for an answer. I stood there like an idiot, swaying and staring. It took a while, but what I found was strength and self-respect. The bags packed themselves and walked right out the door. My hand held tightly to all that really mattered, my own heart. All of my abandon had left the poor thing in a sad state, atrophied. But if I am patient and use it a little more each day it will regain its once youthful bounce. It will be fit for giving...forgiving. Forgiving.

(I needed the white noise as well.)

p.s. it is yours and no one can take it away.

It was a year ago today that my cousins first saw the picture of Boychild, before they even knew that he was going to be the one. :)

Anonymous said...

And a year ago yesterday that Jo-chan and I went to Project Revolution. We saw HIM, TBS, MCR. It was the first tie I'd seen MCR and Gerard was acting really weird, the show was kinda a big WTF, and we were both worried. I saw him go by a few times after the show and he looked like someone had just killed his puppy. About twelve girls waved to him and smiled, "Hi Gerard!" and he gave the old Diva-esque "Whatever" and kept going.

But then we met Frank after the show and he was amazingly nice and generous. :)

First and last MCR concert! But, my second TBS concert and hopefully there will be plenty more. :D

Oh my gods, I LOVE my new wall colour!!!

Anonymous said...

Because I always have to refresh the page one last time after I lock my doors etc. ^_^ TJ, yes, they are TONS of fun to watch and by far my favorite rock show. I speak as someone who has seen 30STM play four times. With other bands you get the same thing every night. When I saw 30, I saw them over the space of a year and a half every time they came to NY (and once to Philly. Best Halloween ever. :D ) I love 30 and I think Jared's got some frigging pipes but it is the same. Damn. Show. Every single effing time. By the 4th show I was doing his stage banter along with him.

With TBS, you get something different each time.

Plus what I really enjoy is that all the guys on the stage banter. Matt gets chatty sometimes too and I enjoy that. And with Lazarra you don't get a lot of "zOMG GET YOUR EFFING FISTS IN THE EFFING AIR MEFFERZZZZZZ!!!!11" and "ARE YOU READY! TO! RAAAAAWK!!!!" and "HANDS IN THE AIR!!!! SING ALOOOONGGGG!!"

Instead he's just conversational, he talks to the audience like he might talk to anyone, and he mostly just sings the bejesus out of everything he puts his voice on.

One other thing he does that's different from other frontmen/singers is the gestures he does with his eyes and his hands. The dude looks like a head-case up there with his expressions, and throwing himself all over the damn stage. And oh man, the expert mic-swinging. ^_^

That's why I love their show and why I find him so compelling as a front man.

Okay! Wow, that's enough babble from me.

Once more, good night! ^_^

resurrected wreck said...

Next Thursday will be a year to the day that I saw MCR at PR & met Gerard and Frank. And Friday will be a year to the day that Gerard attacked Frank onstage :/

resurrected wreck said...

Have a lovely night, K :)

Anonymous said...

Oops! And I was superfly comfy taking my 15 year old goddaughter to see TBS because I knew that the frontman wasn't going to swear at the audience her, call us names, ask us to act like some goddamn trained monkeys, or degrade us like many frontmen do. By extension he would have been doing that to Jo-chan and I would have felt honor-bound to bust his lip. ;) Had Gerard pulled the "moan for me" crap he started doing after he hooked up with MSI, I would have taken my kiddie and left the building. Sorry dude, I know it's a rock show and all, but you don't expect it from bands who claim to not degrade women. I would not take her to go see Yinyang Twins or Motley Crue or any of those other "bitchez and hos" kinds of bands because I know what to expect. And now, I know what to expect with MCR, too. I'm glad he did that stuff before I got the chance to take any more kids--or myself--to see them again.

It was pretty good, no one left in tears or bleeding. But it wore me down, actually made me physically tired. So, off to my bed I go, and will probably talk more tomorrow.

Original Punk J said...

SS baby,

You know what? I would Love to see you back in the Castle. The place just isn't the same without you. Earlier tonight, people were talking about who they missed. There are lots of friends who've gone from here that I miss; you are at the top of that list.

I Hope you haven't given up on us. True, there's been a lot of tension, lots of Weasels (found a new name for them! what do you think?), lots of strife. But mostly we get through it.

A while back, you started telling us to ignore the Vulture-Weasels. I, for one, didn't believe it could be done. Unknown to me, this technique actually does work! Why I ever doubted you, I'll never know.

I do know that I never will again. :)

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, I hope you're alright. Take care of yourself, ok? Remember to make time for you, as well as for others.

Goodnight, precious. I love you.

My heart to yours, always.

mayo,

full moon tonight and a perfect clear night it was, too. i'm just back from standing out under her light, drinking in her radiance and opening up my heart to her. she knows every corner of it, every secret wish.

but for all the comfort that brings, tonight has still been somewhat strange. earlier, i was saving comments from my trip, re-living the joyful inanity of my visit with elena, and how we kept nipping at your heels, the entire time. *grin*

but the night has had its sadnesses, too, and there's an insubstantiality to them, leaving me nothing to grab onto, nothing to decipher.

and then there's the beauty of the moon, and the beauty of the music and the voice in my ears...

i'm a scrap quilt tonight, mayo, haphazardly tied together.

and what can i give you but what i have always given you -- my belief, my trust, my hope, my friendship, my care, my worry? ridiculous though it may be, that's the truth of it, and they're all yours, for as long as you require them, and beyond.

that's part of tonight, too.

good night, mayo. good night and dream well, my friend. dreams are important.

resurrected wreck said...

I may have to buy more paint. I don't think I have enough to give all the walls a second coat >_<

ergoproxy said...

oh no RW
well don't start with one colour in case the tint is a bit different in the new paint.
Or can you thin it a little? with a second coat it woun't matter too much

resurrected wreck said...

I'm going to use it sparingly, EP. I might be able to stretch it.

ergoproxy said...

if the paint has good coverage the first coat would have done most of the work, if you think you'll have to use it lightly do that near the top of the walls, or where furniture will sit, they are the areas you won't see it as much.
But thinning it out with a bit or water or thinners (dep on the paint type) can give you that little bit extra

oh and get some clean jars and keep any of the left over paint for touch ups in the future, it's really handy if you get little chips or marks you can't clean off

resurrected wreck said...

Thanks for the info :)

resurrected wreck said...

I've been walking around my place barefoot all night. You should see the state of my feet! 0_0

of course she did.

Another letter to myself. Well well well here we sit again and you need to go to bed, after all you have money to make all day tomorrow and then you have a rather epic show to pull off somehow. The best part of my day was this morning when I came to grips with the fact that I am a musician, ug…. I have been fighting this fate for years but alas, I am going to try really hard to not be afraid anymore. I always hate writing lyrics because I have never been any good at it and I really hate singing with my real voice, see fake voices are fine and fun but my actual singing voice freaks me out. I can never tell if it is good or if it just sounds good to me. Ahhhh well, I wrote a song this morning and it isn't that half bad. I wanted my friend to come over tonight so that I could record it but I am to dang chicken today, I have to work up the courage. I am good at coming up with clever lines but never an entire song, who cares anymore, does that even matter at this point? The point is that I just need to do it already, I must feel as if I need another reason to laugh at myself. I am thinking that I am going to record it and just use it to make fun of myself with because at this point it is hard to take much seriously when it comes to music or me for that matter. Whats next Eliza? A t shirt line? A jewelry line? Perfume? Maybe who knows. All I know is that I am going to try and get Ross Robinson to produce my first few tracks, from what I hear that dude could break me down more than a Fearless Cuts show ever could. I think that he could probably make me puke on expensive gear and toss thousand dollar lamps across the room in rage. All of this actually sounds like fun to me, think "everything you ever wanted to know about scilence." Epic. Why would someone want to put themselves through something like this? Well, all in the name of art. If you are still wondering what I am thinking about…. This story below is the kind of thing that has been floating around in my head. I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I did. Something needs to happen and something needs to happen now! Xo me

Anonymous said...

Now she's going to sing.......good luck! ....i think?

Mm, whose heels were you nipping at Toujours? Carmine? Gerard? Your comment is addressed to Mayo.

I am not one of those who believes that you met Gerard or that you have an inkling of who Mayo is. I do, however, think that you want people to believe you do because it makes you feel special. Just like you felt special when you were a part of MWM and others weren't.

I don't understand, however, why you would say something that is so obviously going to get the "anon believers" started up again. Your fellow lovlies have, after all, spent so much time trying to do damage control for you. I suppose that special feeling is just too good to resist.

Mayo,

For the past 2 nights, my dreams have had something to do with what I am supposed to say to you, something I am either supposed to tell you, ask you, or sing to you. I know that yesterday it was this song, but fuck me, I can't remember what it was. Last night it was some rhyme or post that I was supposed to make, but here I sit again and I can't pull it from my brain.

So....

Yeah, I know. Sucks, right? My mind is locked up tighter than tight. Oh well, maybe tonight.

Have a great Sunday! If I happen to remember what it was that I am supposed to tell you, or show you, or sing to you, or write for you, or whatever, you'll be the first to know.

Of course, I also had a dream that involved my ex dude's brother and I woke up singing some Faith Hill tunes, so this could all mean about dick.

Love to YOU Always,

your comment is based on incorrect assumptions. the entry i read last night and was referring to in my good night was "away from here my soul", feel free to read it yourself to verify what i say. in that entry, about two-thirds of the comments elena and i made were addressed directly to mayo. it seemed as if we couldn't be on the computer together without it making us silly, and we were tugging on mayo's sleeves the entire length of my visit.

it was so much fun, dragging mayo out of the corner :)

Big mistake PPU. So you used to hang out at GSB around 2005/2006. Most GSBers moved on to INO so it doesn't surprise me to see you here. What's next? Dumpster Diving? Wearing lycra and a cape? Please try and come up with original material, don't steal it from other people. That is so NOT Very Cool.

In other news, I have to say goodbye to my beloved birdies today. The three bluejays (including, of course, the super friendly one,) and the TITMOUSE (whose name is Tifa,) are all going to live with my friend Laura until release.

I already spoke to Bluejay and I told him, "This is where our ways part for now. You've been a good friend, and thanks for spending the summer with me." Tifa the TITMOUSE I have yet to tell fare the well.

I think I'm keeping the neurological robin (Dana,) till the end. She keeps getting worse. She can't keep her head still and she will never fly. But she does eat on her own, and she bathes and preens and sings. I think she's going blind in her left eye which makes me think she's got a brain tumor. I might experiment with some different remedies and see if anything works. She's a sweet thing. You never know.

what are you talking about?

elena said...

Hello everyone..

Hope you are all having a good day. The weather here is beautiful, very mild temps and sunny. Yeah, I'm stuck at the computer doing work.

Smile people...Big smiles. Even if you don't mean it. Hey, it will make people wonder. Sometimes that's kinda fun.

My apologies. The comment was left for one who would understand it.

Yes. I am bored.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

I think I've got it 1:45. Waiting for WW to let us know if I do.

toujours said...

you know what ww? even if they would dismiss your message, you should still try telling them directly. you shouldn't assume. you never know.

Anonymous said...

Boredom is the ultimate catalyst. That would explain my still being here. 1:45 has the right idea.

resurrected wreck said...

Hi, A :)

I iz going to paint over the red I painted last night.

Amyranth said...

Why? Do you not like it?

-A

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Hello amy and Rw

Amyranth said...

Hallo MJ! How's it going?

-A

resurrected wreck said...

It's a pretty colour, A, but not very calming. It's too stimulating a colour for a room meant for resting in.

resurrected wreck said...

Hi, MJ :) How's things? Hows your head today?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

It is going okay amy how is everything with you?

Martha Smith-Jones said...

My head is better today RW how is yours?

resurrected wreck said...

Not so great, MJ :/ I think I overdid it yesterday & it's pounding today. I may not go into work tomorrow, we shall see.

resurrected wreck said...

It's also really hot and humid today, which doesn't help.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

I am not looking forward to going into work. I know I will hear it about not coming in for two days. But my head was hurting something awful and my pain medication wasn't working at all. I even tried ice packs and that did nothing.

resurrected wreck said...

A lot of people had headaches last week, MJ. Could be weather-related.

Amyranth said...

RW, what color did you choose this time?

MJ, not much today. Watching TV, on the computer, starting marinade for supper, applying for jobs... the usual.

The headaches are back again?

-A

resurrected wreck said...

I'm going to go for a pale sage green or brown, I think, A. But I'm taking a bit of a break from painting.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Amy they are back.

Could be RW

Amyranth said...

Sounds like a plan RW!

I really want to repaint my room, but with that behemoth of a bedframe I have, it makes it hard to even prime it.

What I really need to do is to get rid of my dressers and such, move all my clothes into my closet instead.

-A

resurrected wreck said...

I've got two closets in my apartment, A, so except for my undies and socks all my clothes are hanging.

Amyranth said...

RW, my closet is definitely big enough to handle all my clothes. I might just get a tiny little dresser and put it in my closet for my socks and girly things.

I've always wanted to put a chaise in my room or something.

MJ, they never did say what caused those headaches in the first place, did they?

-A

Amyranth said...

Boo?

Amyranth said...

SHAZAM!

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Amy They aren't sure. I was looking up my symptoms to see if I could figure it. I have symptoms of several different kinds oh headaches.

That makes it kind of hard to find something to help with the pain

Amyranth said...

Anyway, I'll be back later. I got a kitchen to clean, again, and a supper to start!

See y'all in a bit!

-A

resurrected wreck said...

I've always wanted to put a chaise in my room or something.

That would look lovely! I've got a metal-framed love seat.

Amyranth said...

MJ, that shit is bananas.

Are you only seeing a GP, or did they send you to a specialist?

-A

resurrected wreck said...

Have fun, A :)

Martha Smith-Jones said...

Just a Gp and the cat scan.

Martha Smith-Jones said...

See you later amy
