Well I just got home and see the topic of discussion is love. Yeah, think I’ll keep my thoughts to myself on that one.
Tonight I went to see “The Dark Knight” with my mom, youngest daughter and Fred. The youngest daughter, who just turned 16 wanted to drive. Okay, so I sat in the backseat trying to be a good mother and daughter to the front seat occupants. It didn’t go so well. Actually I smoked in front of my mother (well actually in back of my mother) but it was necessary. Trust me, it was necessary.
So now I sit alone. I have the whole house to myself. I’m liking it. I have the music blaring. (current song “Heavy Metal) by Don Felder and things are good. I’m just not a very social person tonight. I’m not sure what I am tonight or who for that matter. But you know what? I don’t care to analyze. I do that way too much. Tonight I just am. Know what I mean?

Interesting conversation here tonight. Discussions of love always lead me to think about soulmates. In fact, right now I'm reading a book called--you guessed it--"Soul Mates" by Richard Webster. Some of his info is really good, some rather obvious, and some just plain "Oh please." But the basic concept is really interesting to me, and valid from a "love at first sight" viewpoint.
Anyhoo, I'm off to sleep now. Hope you're doing well, taking care of yourself, getting plenty of rest, having some fun, all that. Try not to get sunburned if you go outside. Drink lots of water and Gatorade so you don't dehydrate. Wear loose clothing.

Yeah I don’t usually talk to you after my goodnight but I just feel like it, okay? I’m in a totally weird mood tonight. Partly because I’m feeling so good about TJ’s news and partly because…well, just because. Anyway I was wondering if you’ve ever seen the movie “Wizards” ? If not you should. It’s a post apocalyptic story about a little wizard named Avatar and his evil twin brother Blackwolf. Not sure why I’m thinking about his movie tonight but I am. Hell, I think I’ll go watch it now. Pretty obvious I’m not gonna sleep at all tonight. I haven’t been sleeping a whole lot lately. I know that’s not good but that’s just how it is. Pretty soon I’ll probably be seeing little yard gnomes dancing around. My damn brain won’t shut off. Okay now I feel like I’m just bothering you but like I said earlier I’m alone so I don’t have anyone else to bother. Even the cats are hiding from me. That’s never a good sign. Finally dragged my carcass out of bed and off to work this morning - I "went for the burn" a little too exuberantly at the gym last night and I feel like I've gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson so it took me a little longer getting myself together this morning! I think a nice relaxing Vanilla Chai Tea and some gentle data entry from the fire-hazard-type pile by my desk to ease my way into the day...
A quick note to recommend that anyone with access to UK terrestrial should watch Bonekickers tonight as it's mental archaelogy comedy-drama. Plus it's filmed near me so I spend the hour going, "that's not Hell Island, it's Brean Down, Kass' occasional scenic jogging spot!".

I missed the WARPED tour as my car ran out of gas after driving (with no air conditioning) around detroit for hours - lost - as most of the freeways were closed - and its too dangerous to stop and ask for directions. It was 90 degrees out and I walked at least a mile for gas (petrol :) Now at least I know my fuel indicator is lying, the bastard! I was so late that I missed Pierce the Veil and the Bouncing Souls, so I didn't bother, especially as I was having breathing problems due to the heat. I did meet Gym Class and TAI at the after party, and William from TAI came over to say goodbye before he left - he's a sweetie! A friend was playing warped, but I missed his set too, though I did get to see him the night before. :)

To those who cared, a quick update on my army boy. I did finally ask his cousin if he has a mailing address at training, but his cousin doesn't have it. They all think he can get on myspace at some point, but from everything I've read (yes, I did some obsessive army research), they don't let you have open access to the internet at boot camp. I don't even think they let you make phone calls. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'll get a surprise myspace message. Who knows. At least I tried!

Happy marriages are found in two people who already love and care about who they are now. They are not looking for a partner to "prove" they are loveable. Likewise, when you feel inside that you are worthy....you will make better choices. People who are hurting and feel unloved sometimes will turn to the first person to come along to fill the emptiness they feel. More than likely this will not result in a healthy marriage. If you find yourself in this situation you need to step back from relationships and work deep inside yourself to find the root cause of your unhappiness. Until then,....you will not be able to make the best choice you deserve to make for yourself
