What?...exactly.

Way down at the center of the Earth, the core as it is called, the pull is intense. The rest of it, what I see every day, endlessly revolves, but down there it is all held in tight. I want to be that close, leave the cycle, become random. I am a part of the pattern and I know that is why I feel this way. So much of it is polluted.

There is the challenge.

I tried to dig it up once. I wanted to know if it would pull my soul out and then would it also find a place in rotation? Follow me around batting at the back of my head? But, my palms blistered before I made it. I would like to say I did not give up, but I did.

Yesterday, I read in the news that someone had finally reached it. Once they arrived, they made legal claim of the core of the Earth. Stuck a flag in it and gave it a proper name, in a proper way...I hate proper. So, now I want it even more. The rest of it can float off for all I care.

Well, not all of it.

I will try again. This time, a bigger shovel and a pair of gloves might do the trick, save my hands. I will not quit; it is worthy work. When I get there, I will release it. I no longer wish to be a part of its rotation. Instead, I wish for the whole of it to become the rest of it.

p.s. each day the same way and then look at it again if its there, focus.

You scared me, dude. I just left you a song. O_O

Mayonaise said...

I appreciate the song.

I hope you are having a good day.

Mayonaise said...

Oh, and I am sorry that I scared you.

Did you jump?

Smoke said...

Sure did! Heh-heh.

Glad you liked it. It's an oldie. Well, not really that old but ya know.

You doing okay?

Anonymous said...

I read that too actually. Mayo, it's good to hear from you even if this post is a little dark.

Hey, you sneaked up on me there, I was telling a really stupid story back at the last post. Do you mind if I post it up here?

Mayonaise said...

I am fine, thanks for asking.

Anonymous said...

Mayo, what do you do for a living

Smoke said...

Good, I'm glad.

I like this one, Mayo. I rarely go into what I think or put out there what I think you mean but that doesn't mean I don't like it or don't appreciate it. Just wanted you to know.

Smoke said...

And hi there, Jules! :)

Mayonaise said...

Yes, a little dark.

But, then end?

Anonymous said...

Mayo, what do you do for a living

First of all I'd like to add: ?

Mayo crushes grapes at a winery.

Bold for sure, but daunting.

When you say "not all of it," what do you spare?

Dude,

I was like way back over there and now, I am like over here.

Totally lonely back there. Just sayin...

Smoke said...

Well, I hope you all have a great Saturday afternoon! I'm on my way to see Kung Fu Panda! Niiiiice. :)

Mayo,

Have a great weekend, okay? It was nice to see you, dude. ^_^

Anonymous said...

Hey Solly and La Principesa. :)

sdock10 said...

Jules,

Loved your story way back there and can I just add again that nobody says "goddamn" like you.

In my head anyways....

For whatever that's worth...

I am a rambly little sort today.

sdock10 said...

Mayo,

The blisters...I get em all the time. I try to hold on to shit too tightly and well...usually it's a big pile of nothing, but...sometimes....and you know what, they'll heal. Your hands will be tougher and stronger. Maybe not so silky smooth, but you'll know better.

Did that make any fucking sense?

Anonymous said...

Well Solly, when we meet I'm going to say it to you in person, and you can swear at me in your own inimitable way. I can't wait. :)

Say and Mayo, if you are indeed still around (and not overwhelmed,) while I got you here I want to say, I hope it doesn't bug you when I cuss at you and say that I'm beating on you and stuff; I just do it as a joke and I think you wouldn't recognize me without the violence. ;) Anyway I hope that doesn't bother you and if it does, you can say, "Hey, quit swearing at me" and I will.

Anonymous said...

i can't believe that Adam Lazzara turned into Gerard Way overnight.

sdock10 said...

Mayo,

Since Mustard isn't here, I will say it for her. She's gonna love this one. I just know it. Yep, really.

I hope you can still get something out of this place. I must be honest with you. For the last couple of months, I haven't felt like I have had shit to offer anyone here, but I guess that's part of the appeal. It's a continuous challenge and struggle to keep looking...to keep digging deeper and deeper....to uncover and find things that I didn't know about myself.

So yeah...

Anonymous said...

*Le sigh*

My neighbors who I hate are playing one of my favorite songs right now, Spacehog's "In The Meantime."

And remember, Mayo: I take no reply at all as tacit approval. ;) Beeyiyotch.

Thank you for the new post, homeslice, thanks for lots more to dig through. You know you semi sorta described this blog in places, whether you realize it or not.

sdock10 said...

Well, I'm off for Kung Fu Panda! Yayness all around, I'm sure!

Anonymous said...

Mayo, I'm really sorry. It must be frustrating.

Anonymous said...

They really are stupid.

Anonymous said...

your precious little Adam Lazzara isn't as precious and wonderful as you all thought he was.

Anonymous said...

He's not little, he's fat. Don't bother trying to talk to the "lovelies' they are the stupidest people on the internet. I see clearly. I don't know how Mayo puts up with them for so long.

Anonymous said...

i love how none of them are even talking about what a douche Adam is. if this was Gerard, you would never hear the end of it.

Anonymous said...

Hello
:)

No celebrity is as precious and perfect as the diehard fans think they are. The are imperfect, fallible, messed up humans who stumble through life just like the rest of us. They're men not Gods.
If you don't put them on pedestals, they won't fall off and you won't be disappointed.

Once again:

As long as he doesn't totally eff up the band, drag her into his band's act, push her agenda on the audience and start acting like a total dick, then whatever, A-Laz, whatever dude. Keep singing. ^_^

Is Adam going to let this ruin the band? Is he going to drag her on stage? Is she in a band that promotes hate, racism, sexism, child abuse and makes a big joke out of those issues? Is she someone who can't play music but is in a band anyway? Is she gonna ride in on his coattails and then bitch about "feminism?" Is he going to take her on tour and become a billboard for her? Do they have some kind of agenda? Is TBS going to be ruined because of this?

I doubt it. I hope not, but I seriously, seriously doubt it. So I'm not too worried.

Other than that the dude--and in fact any dude--can do whatever he wants with his personal life. He's not stuffing it down our throats, so.

Anonymous said...

Oh gosh, I almost forgot. Here's what happened to me today, from the last post!

So here's the thing that just happened to me.

I went out stalking that cute boy again, the one who works at this store who I met at where I used to work when he brought his lizard in to be looked at (*snicker*) and he asked me, back then, to come in and see him at his work. I've been trying to do this for a while and today I finally caught him there. It took me a few good deep breaths before I could work up the courage to go talk to him. Then finally I did.

He said, "Hey, how are you?"

I answered, "Hi," which I hate when I say that, because it sounds like you're answering "high" to the question "how are you" right? So already I feel like a doofus.

Then he goes, "You're the one who works at the hospital, right? Or, you used to work there?"

Which means what? He knows I don't work there anymore.

Which means what? HE ASKED FOR ME WHEN HE WENT THERE.

I told him, "Yeah, that ended really badly, sorry to say."

He said, "Yeah, it went badly the last time I went there too" and then he proceeded to tell me a horror story that made me very, very sad. I couldn't stop telling him how sorry I was that that had happened to him and to his pet. Then, I couldn't think of anything else to say to him so I kept saying, "Gosh, I am so sorry, just really so very sorry. So, so sorry, you have no idea how sorry I am to hear that, oh my gosh that's crushing, I'm so sorry," etc. all the while he was like, "Oh, it's okay, totally nothing to do with you, hey don't worry about it, that's all right, you weren't even there, it's cool, no problem, hey sweetie it's okay," etc.

O_o

Meanwhile there was a lady behind me waiting to ask him something so I was like, "Well, yeah, I should let you get back to work and all but again, so, so sorry about blah blah blah."

Then he held out his hand, and squeezed my hand and said, "Hey no problem, god bless you."

Which made me consider my options:

1) Back away slowly.

2) Make my eyes turn obsidian black, bare my teeth which are growing into fangs, sprout black, leathery wings from my back and say in a double-voice: "THERE IS NO GOD."

or 3) Guess that maybe it's just a regular old saying and he didn't mean anything religious by it.

(Nothing against people who do mean it, or who are religious: to each his own, I just get on better with people who don't talk a lot about religion.)

Then he said, "Hey, see you again soon, yeah?" and he winked at me which is the same thing he did when I met him the first time. Which is kind of corny but still kind of cute, right?

Anyway I'm glad I caught up with him finally because I keep going in there to buy goddamn meal worms when none of my birds are really even eating them yet, and I have more goddamn meal worms than I know wtf to do with, you know?

Anyway that's what happened to me today. Also I bought a movie at Border's.

Anonymous said...

He is a fucking druggie and he got a girl pregnant, what kind of father do you think he's going to be?? And the way you all love Frank Iero like he's some kind of saint, well I hope you know that him and Jamia are still big alcoholics. When will you get it through your heads that Gerard is probably the best one and the happiest of all of them.

Anonymous said...

Poor Chauntelle.

Anonymous said...

Today I

got up, used the bathroom, washed my hands, bushed my teeth, showered, dried off, got dressed, went outside, got in my car, went to the store, saw people, talked to people, came out of the store, got back in my car, came home, washed hands , made lunch, washed hands, ate lunch, used the bathroom, washed hands, came here.

Anonymous said...

Adam's a bigger DOUCHE than Gerard, but none of you will admit it.

Anonymous said...

Chauntelle and Eliza should get together and write a book.

Anonymous said...

Kapunua's was way more interesting. She's actually funny and witty.

Chautelle and Eliza's book: Getting Fucked Over By Rock Stars For Dummies!

Mayo, I too hope that the IQ doesnt drastically plumit off the side of the devon rock face, would be very dissapointing, but have faith, no need to get someone's panties in a twist, or do the panties like to be in a twist, and shout, shake ya booty on to the ground *sings the last bit*

Just a quickie to drop a note to people who need it.
Anima - I am truly sorry for your more recent bad news, just know that what i said in the first place still stands. You have many friends here for you to do with what ever you want, i will be keeping you and your father and your family in my thoguhts.

Ergo/ Alf Stewart - I saw your conversation you had with anima, could you please email me please, i just need to ask you a personal question if that is ok.

Anonymous said...

Chauntelle got fucked over more than Eliza did. at least Gerard didn't dump his fiance and a month later marry some chick he knocked up. what a loser Adam is.

Anonymous said...

Maybe but Eliza got dumped publically on stage and Gerard used his new relationship to shove it up her ass. He humiliated her on purpose.

Anonymous said...

at least Gerard didn't dump his fiance and a month later marry some chick he knocked up. what a loser Adam is.

it was a month later that he was with LynZ. With Adam, it was five months later and she's only pregnant NOW.

Anonymous said...

Maybe but Chauntelle has a KID that Adam left when he fucked HER over.

Anonymous said...

Well okay then

Guess nobody's home right now. Sorry I missed Mayo.

Anonymous said...

As much as I hate to admit it I do see Kapunua's point. Gerard ran afoul of her femi(Nazi) ideals with his stage show. I don't think she is RIGHT because a rock star should be allowed to have a little fun at his audiences expense, but I see her point.

Anonymous said...

So, ramble I will, but later, 'cause I have one motherfucker of a headache.

I wish for the whole of it to become the rest of it.

I dunno what it is about that, but I like it. I'll "get it" in a few for sure.

So glad to hear you're well, Mayo!

There's so much stuff on the inside, I'd rather it just stay there, kind of like you, I guess.

Some of those things don't deserve to see the light of day, and some of them are too painful to wear around like costume jewelry.

Back a few years ago when I could actually feel, not that I can't now, but you know what I mean. Back then, I wrote letter after letter to the only person I thought would give a shit.

Nearly once a week for a few months, this person got my meaningless and meaningful compositions, things that would make no sense, whatsoever, to her.

The feelings were covered in gold and diamonds and made to look expensive. They were, in all likelihood, misinterpreted because of all of my out of place lyrics and thoughts.

My stream of consciousness.

And now, I want all of my insides back. Unfortunately, their probably sitting in that little folder labeled "Delete."

I guess we just keep digging. Hell, even if we don't find anything, we can visit China, right?

sdock10 said...

Mustard,

I'll help you dig.

Just sayin...

Anonymous said...

It was only March when they broke up. Not five months.

Anonymous said...

This whole business of marrying someone you barely know, reveals lots about the couple who actually do it.

Pregnancy? maybe, but in this day and age there is really no reason to rush into it.

Could it be more about illusions and trying to escape feelings of dissatisfaction and fear, by convincing yourself it's love? Wrap in up in a nice bundle such as marriage and move on.

Mark my words the hairline cracks are already there. They will get larger as time goes by.

Hey Mustard.

Anonymous said...

I think it's different for everyone. Some people are fortunate enough to find one person who fills all their emotional needs. Some people need to look outside of their immediate relationship. Neither way is wrong...just different.

June 7, 2008 11:42 AM

I would tend to agree with this for friendships, but when it comes to an intimate relationship it is very wrong.

The whole basis of an intimate relationship is trust and how you function emotionally in it. If you believe otherwise it's best not to be in one.

Smoke said...

I'll help. At least, I'll make you think I'm helping. Hee-hee.

I really want to see Kung Fu Panda, mainly because Jack Black is hilariously funny to me.

It's beginning to look like Hollywood is taking BlogBelieve to the big screen, huh? ;)

That's funny, 6:47. I don't remember ever saying on here that I had seen Adam with a blonde. Anyway, I don't know if that's her or not.

Also, pretty sure Adam and Chauntelle broke up in February or something like that.

Smoke said...

Hee-hee. You are so funny, RW!

Then I sprayed him with poison. Ewwwww!

RW,

I hate those centipede thingys. Too many icky legs.

Smoke said...

"I had, too."

What?...exactly. O_o

Anonymous said...

Oh my gosh, you guys! Princess, and spraying that toxic stuff, too! That stuff is so evil for your body as well. Just no good. Anyway spiders like that, they can't hurt you, and most of all they don't want to hurt you. Only two kinds of bad spiders n North america: the black widow and the brown recluse.

Now I'm reeeeeeal curious how it got out and about that I saw Adam walking around with some blonde gal at the concert. 'Cause I know exactly where I did and did not say that.

Heya Splash.

I gotsta go you guys. Catch ya's later.

Anonymous said...

I agree. An intimate relationship should satisfy all needs if it is real and if you want it to last.

This is the only thing I said in public re: seeing A-Laz:

Right after that, I looked out of the little lounge thing, over the fence, and saw Adam Lazzara (for those who don't know: he's the singer,) walking around the parking lot, again just chilling and completely NOT acting all rock starry and hiding out. No one bugged him or anything. I did notice though that he has a nice new haircut and his hair is lighter. I liked it long and dark, but I like this, too. :)

And that was, as a matter of fact, the only time I saw him not on stage.

So again I ask you: who the hell are you and how do you know what I saw?

8:06...you like?... how much?

elena said...

okay anon, sorry about that. You guys just continue on and enjoy your chat.

I moved out on to the deck but it's so damn windy this isn't helping my headache at all.

ergoproxy said...

well the sun has come out here, elena the wind isn't from more storms is it?

elena said...

ergo

We have more storms moving in tomorrow. It seems like there is just line after line of them this year. When that happens it's bad because people will start to ignore how serious they can be.

Anonymous said...

8:17 Very much and you?

Anonymous said...

Gerard ♥ Lynz 4 ever

ergoproxy said...

we get that way with cyclones but for the opposite reason, there are no bad ones for a couple of years and people don't remember what they can do and get complacent

it's a quiet ol day on the blog today!

Anonymous said...

Holy Shit! Are You Serious?!? That's New.

Straight from Chautelle's mom,

"It just wasn't meant to be, and we do not wish ill will on Adam's new family.
Adam was good to us, and loved by our family....it just didn't work out, and it wasn't handled very well, since the girl he went after was an acquaintance of our family.
But, breakups are rarely smooth, and Adam certainly had a right to move on, and he did very quickly.
Therefore, the fallout has to be worked through, and it will be.
Humans survive these things...."

Anonymous said...

"
Agreed. I am not saying "he" is to blame. What I am saying is that these things are painful, no matter how it's played out, and when the "ex" hooks up with a mutual acquaintance, it takes time to heal.
And, Chauntelle is not dating Max.
Pain is a part of life. We're just trying to deal with ours."

ergoproxy said...

That is really sad for them, there is always so much collateral damage when a relationship breaks up no matter how well it's handled, and badly handled ones are even worse

Anonymous said...

Adam = Love

not any more

Anonymous said...

Good going missing the poitn when even Chauntelle's mom says that he is not to blame. It happens. People break up.

ergoproxy said...

and if there are any anons who'd like to share a recipe at my kitchen blog you are very welcome to

Anonymous said...

anon, he went after a family friend, he's a douchebag. if her mother wasn't upset with Adam, she would have never brought that up. read between the lines.

Anonymous said...

It happens. "Went after"? Maybe he loved her. They shouldn't be off limits just because you know them. That's stupid.

All these Adam haters are Gerard fangirls who want to make it look like Adam is a bad guy here so that Gerard looks like less of a douche. We all know who the Gerard fangirls are.

elena said...

hey Ergo

You still around?

Anonymous said...

Anon,

their both douches, and no it's not okay to go after your fiance's friend. that was a scumbag move on his part.

Anonymous said...

it was unintentional

ergoproxy said...

floating about the ether for a bit elena

I just added some recipes,

we're off to see a worm farm guy a bit later, to set up composting

Anonymous said...

doesn't make it right

elena said...

worm farm guy? That's just a funny visual.

I see an old farmer out corralling his worms.

Anonymous said...

not talking about adam and his affairs. it was wrong i agree. really none of my concern.

ergoproxy said...

anon even if he fell in love with the other it can't remove the hurt, I think I got that they had already broken up? I don't really know the story but if that was the case he was free to move on.
There may be things noone but them are aware of and it's wrong to judge.
I can only say from a friend of mine going through the same sort of thing, it brings up so much doubt about feelings expressed, and things shared in the past relationship and suspicions about past encounters by the current couple.
It's a lot of hurt the family will need to work through and needless speculation and name calling isn't worth it

I hope they are secure in themselves and their relationship as it seemed very fast, because bringing a child into the world is very stressful and any problems will be magnified tenfold.

ergoproxy said...

lol elena

he has a big sign by the highway saying
"The Worm Man" with a big worm painted on it
goodness knows what he's like!

elena said...

"The Worm Man" Yeah, that's quite a claim to fame.

"Come see the man and his worms."

Anonymous said...

ergo,

i agree, but it has to hurt twice as much when you were friends with the person he knocked up. she was betrayed by two people.

ergoproxy said...

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

ergoproxy said...

anon I had one friend who's husband after 8 months or so left her for her matron of honour! So yes it's a lot of hurt and betrayal , but it happens to more people than we'd like to think.
I hope they handle it maturely and her family help her out.
It's unlikely they did it deliberately but it's a very bad situation to find yourself in, they could have handled it differently (and not getting pregnant would have helped there) but what's done is done
It's up to them to live their best fro the child and the ex to move on with her life too, hard as that probably seems right now, I'm sure she will.

Anonymous said...

i just don't like the double standard that goes on with Gerard. if Gerard's morals are going to be judged, Adam's morals should be judged as well.

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to prove

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Give me back my point of view
'Cause I just can't think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won't sing for you
'Cause all that's left has gone away
And there's nothing there for you to do

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you've done
You've made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Anonymous said...
