yes miranth he and his friend were boogie boarding and it grabbed him twice, his mate jumped in and got him to shore.
It wasn't a good spot though , no lifesavers and near were trawlers come in to a harbour and a seal colony.

miranth there are signs but usually for stingers, sharks kind of are in a lot of places, but the only beaches the govt is responsible for are patrolled ones, which are the safest. There are sharks where we go too, pretty much the whole coast is potentially dangerous. They do warn tourists in leaflets and such on planes.

wendy unfortunately there are none there,it wasn't a real swimming beach but there are signs everyone knows and I suspect kids will avoid it.
it's bull sharks, they breed and swim in shallow water, lots in the canal developments on the coast
they are talking about needing a cull or setting drum lines, it's not a real solution though

i just got back a short while ago, and i am dead-dog tired. apparently, we've all been about 36 hours without sleep.
i'll admit i'm having a difficult time focussing on the screen...
butt i wanted to say that OH MY GODS.
i saw the best performance by mcr ever tonight. the venue was fabulous, the opening acts drive by and billy talent were fantastic, and mcr ROCKED US OUT 100%.
they were totally on -- toro was amazing, frank was doing his melting thing with the guitar, bob broke the pedal off his drums he was playing so fiercely, mikey smiled and laughed at a joke by gerard and was spot-on during the concert.
and gerard was--incredible. he and bob talked at one point, and were joking about fronxen foods.

Well this morning, the phone had rang a few times overnight, and I didn't answer it. I checked the messages this morning, and a guy my roommate had gone out for drinks with had called, and was telling her that he got jumped on the way home from the bar, and he had stabbed one of his attackers and thinks he may have killed him.
