Hollow point.

I will repeat it again and again.
For thirty-two, then thirty-three
time stopped. But, when does it end?
With empty rooms and unfilled beds,
and desperation; the last moments
and too many words left unsaid.

I am copying each name with bold black ink onto plain white card, filling the empty space with the only tangible evidence I have. One at a time I place a card face down before me while I consider each as if it were my own. Then, on the back of each card I write my name.
I can, but they cannot.

So, I will.

This is one of those "you" posts? It's going to take me some time Mayo, or maybe I'm not to figure this one out. That's all right, too. :)

By the way, Hello Mayo. Hope you're well. *hugs you*

Oh, I almost asked you. But I promise I won't. :)

hi mayo
:)

so its not missed

tj, chained to the computer said...
hey-ho, laverne & shirley have returned (we still don't know which is which though).

:)

i have coffee, my hair is dry, and we have waved farewell to anima. *sigh*

but at least none of us are very far apart here in blogbelieve.

elena and i were talking about the concert on the way back (go figure) -- about how even though it was a topsy-turvy day emotionally it was still so vital, so...well, i can only think to describe it as nourishing, though that may sound a bit odd.

and we were, quite naturally, reviewing our favorite bits from the show, and i remembered that gerard gave his speech again about how lotms was intended to inspire viewers to start a band -- except that he expanded upon that last night, and went on to say not only the bit about starting a band but also drawing a comic, or writing a book, and so on -- a whole list of creative endeavors, a whole slew of ways that lotms hopefully could and should inspire people to engage in creative personal expression.

i loved it.

not only because creative personal expression was always my guiding philosophy when growing up, and one that i am now in the process of recovering, but also because yesterday morning (just yesterday morning), elena and i were discussing that speech of his, in it's previous form, and coming to the conclusion that he didn't mean that he wanted lotms to just be about starting a band.

i have to admit, my eyes were a bit O_O when i heard him unknowingly confirm our speculations last night!

:)

i also cried again during "cancer" -- if any of you have been reading my lj, i've mentioned there how during bamboozle i found myself shaking and crying during that song, a surprise because although every time i've heard it live it has been powerful and affecting, it has never made me cry.

but at bamboozle, and at the first portland show, and again last night, "cancer" has grabbed me with a force i don't quite understand. i think it's wringing a catharsis from me that goes beyond my experiences with the disease.

this trip of mine is becoming an alchemic journey. every day i feel like another unknown portion of my soul has been transmuted. i'm doing things i never thought i would -- just last night i was dragging anima through the crowd by her hand, and hugging, without thought, without qualms!

i don't know who i'm going to be at the end of this -- and i hope the end of this trip finds me in the crowd at madison sq. gardens, i don't want to come in off the road until they do, how ridiculous is that -- but i can't wait to step forward as that person, as my true self, at last.

oh geez! and now i've written a novel!

it's all elena's fault. she's cleaning up the place, and won't let me help. she ordered me to the computer and so here i am, rambling on and on and on...

maybe i'd best go check my emails, etc. and let someone else comment?

yeah. that'd be best.

(except, i have to just add, mayo, we were also talking about how strange it is that with the two of us together, it has had the effect of somehow dragging you out of the corner for us. i swear you're with us here, and with all the sillines you've had to witness, i think we owe you an apology! poor fellow. *grin*)

you know i'll be back later. don't be afraid. *grin*

p.s. elena came in and said: "mayo, thank god she got one of those damn candy bars!"

p.p.s. and i'm going to make her eat part of it too! mwah-hah!

honestly, is it just me in here?

I've just called and emailed a bunch of schools. Me, 35, thinking about doing the school thing again. WTF? Honestly!

A few nights ago I put up the outline of a story I was thinking about writing. It was about a woman who went to meet a man under the lanterns by the cherry trees and found him dead. It was called "After The Festival."

Here's the odd thing. Today I got a book called "Japanese Death Poems" and I turned right to a poem called "Ato no Matsuri" which means, believe it or not, "After the festival." And apparently that phrase means "to miss one's chance" or "to come too late."

Oddly that is exactly what the story was about.

Except, I wonder if it's a sign? Do I believe in signs?

I dunno.

A bolt of silk for each clear-toned song!
Still these beauties do not think it is enough.
Little do they know of a weaving girl
Sitting cold by her window,
Endlessly throwing her shuttle to and fro.

redrum said...

Very kind of you, sir.

K, it sounds like you have already begun to write it.

Anonymous said...

hey Redrum.

Sort of. I posted an outline the other day and then I got self conscious because I thought it sucked, and i took it down. ^_^

Fimble Star said...

hello, is this real. am i actually around, whoop

Anonymous said...

Hello Fim! You got my favorite number, nine. ^_^

That's cool though, I got eight. I like eight too, especially on its side.

Fimble Star said...

hello, mayo, redrum, jules, tj and anon.

Anonymous said...

I'm fidgety, Fim. How are you? Is your skin peeling off yet?

Fimble Star said...

so it is sunny here but windy as hell. i am screaming at my post box. my wire hasnt arrived yet, and i am so upset cos i miss my laptop. this means i have another night not being here oh well

redrum said...

Well, don't be discouraged, K.

First drafts are sort of tender things, anyway. I do most of the work in my head before it comes out where anyone else can see it.

Hi, Fimble! I'm cold, but well. How are you?

Fimble Star said...

actually, yes it is, but i am still brown and i am loving it. i used to look like a walking corpse cos i was so white, and yes to those who love my maggots, they loved it too :) but heck i like having a bit of colour to me. makes me feel refreshed.

Fimble Star said...

redrum, you are cold? well, go get a jumper on :) it is sunny but windy so the wind makes it cold here.

i havent spoke to you for a while, never seem to be on at the same time. is everything going well? anything interesting and exciting happened?

do you want to intrigue a fimble :)

Anonymous said...

Oh Fim, tanning is so bad for you! You'll age your skin!

Sorry, I have to say it. ;)

That's the thing, Redrum; I have things worked out nicely in my head, and there, they're perfect. Then I articulate them and suddenly they're all wrong. You know? :)

Ah well. I've got three full length novels sitting here in my desk, all printed up and ready to shop out. Hundreds of pages. Hundreds of thousands of words.

Why don't I?

redrum said...

Why don't you, indeed?

Fimble, you make me smile. Everything seems to be...
Well, I might jinx it if I say.

You are right about the jumper, though. Bring on the layers.

mayo, mayo!

don't surprise me like that! the first part of this post, i have to ruminate on...the second part? well, names are powerful magic. each name is a real physical connection to the person.

it's enough, mayo. it's strong enough.

(and what the hell with the re-posting of my comment? thank you anonymous for the consideration, but wow. i've never had my comments reposted before. that was a surprise, too.)

I swear I'm not the grammar anon. ;)

Hey Sis! What's going on in your world?

I get ya Fim. :) But still! You're too young to be aging yourself, and burning, that's the worst! Florida sun is so harsh.

Redrum, you know, that's an awfully good question.

I should.

Mayo: You don't 'sound' very good today :/
Yet again, this post reminds me of a song...
"Face the hollow point in me
The hollow point in my soul once again"

The world's not getting colder, Mayo. REALLY, it's not! And dreams only fall down IF YOU let go....
*big hug for Mayo*

You've done a wonderful thing here. I hope you see that! I hope you've been reading TJ's adventures. I hope you see the joy and inspiration you have brought to so many people! There are no "empty rooms and unfilled beds" ...not here!

Anima: Be careful on your trip back home!

TJ and Elena: Try to be gentle with the customers ;) and keep on enjoying yourselves!

I really only came here today to let OP J and L know that THE PACKAGE HAS BEEN RECEIVED and I LOVE the goodies they sent!

Thank you both so much!!!

Have a great day/night everyone!

Hugs and Love,

Mayo,
I never try to understand your post, i just leave it as the workings of your thoughts at this time and moment.

Hell! My blog is just the messed up thoughts of my mind and soul typing away in a moment of boredom.

But everytime you post i feel a little bit more sane, not that you are crazy, just i understand where you are coming from.

The first part of your post caught my eye the most...(empty rooms)(unfilled beds),(desperation) (last moments)
..and (many words left unsaid)

You painted my life on canvas and showed to the world.

Just for a second you saw me Mayo! And you never even knew it!
I know it was only words for someone or something only you know.

But i felt every word as i read it and the pain you must be feeling.

It is a lie that time heals all wounds, the truth is it never ends.

I just remind myself that pressure makes diamonds out of coal.

I see you Mayo!
Look at you sparkle!

Hi everyone!

I can not stay, i have my laptop with me so i can check in and stay in touch, i will be a spectator and just reading, its all i have time for.

So just say hi to me over the next few weeks and i will see it when i read the comment's.

Just a ( Hi PJ ) at the end of your comments, like the way we did when we played that (in your pants) thing!

Hugs to all of you.

Big Kiss!

OMG...i forgot!

I met someone, give a shout out to the lovely Joanna, Damn my heart beats faster when i say her name.
Anyway will give more information when i get back.
In about two weeks i hope!

Bye!

Doesn't seem fair, does it? That stuff like this happens. And then you realize all the little things that you take for granted. Makes you do a gut check, right? Have I told all those people that I love just how much I love them? Yeah, me either. We need to, don't we?

Hope you're okay, Mayo.

Okay, I'll be back later on. There's an eight year old that needs some of his mama's time. ^_^

It's one of those event where you'll remember what you were doing when it was happening, who you were with, what you were wearing.

Like the shooting at Columbine, or the Oklahoma City bombing, or the attacks on the World Trade Centers, there's a memory etched into your brain of the terror you felt, the innocence you no longer had.

And that's just what those on the outside were feeling. To be there, in the middle of it all - one place I never want to be.

Sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. Some were parents and some were nobodys. But all of them more than just names. They were faces with hearts and souls and minds yearning for a brighter future they will never have.

Thank you for taking some time out for them today, and consequently, helping us to focus our thoughts on more important matters.

Anonymous said...

Maybe, it's not 'Groundhog Day' but
'Groundhog year' for you, Amyranth? ^_^

Anonymous said...

Well Mayo, this is very thoughtful. And I admit that up until the Revelation Anon pointed out the date (was that you, Mayo?) I hadn't even remembered. I guess maybe because today was also the day when my good friend's father died. That's no excuse I guess, but there it is: I totally forgot.

You must find us kind of obtuse sometimes; do we make you facepalm? ;)

Thanks, though, for being your thoughtful self.

Anonymous said...

Also, Evan Rachel Wood shouldn't even bother. Nobody will EVER come a small measure to the Gorgeous Dita.

I can remember just sitting on the sofa watching CNN. I was wearing my pajamas and drinking a cola. And I remember the shots of the snow and then I thought about how beautiful the scenery was with the snowfall, but how cold and dreary that day must have been.

It's weird how your brain picks and chooses what it wants to remember.

Anonymous said...

Siobhan, that is just ridiculous.

Please try not to worry too much about Frank, he may be a little run down but I'm sure he's tougher than he looks.

My guess is he slept late today and now he's kicking back, surfing the internet and eating his body weight in brownies.

Did you have this odd urge to watch it? I turned it on, I was at the computer, but sometimes I listen to the TV for company, and a few minutes later they were reporting a shooting at a University with 12 fatalities. I thought it was odd that they already knew they had so many, then I thought, "Oh god. This isn't it. This guy is serious."

I guess there was an urge? More like I just couldn't stop watching because of the sheer horror. I couldn't put together why it took them two hours to start doing anything. So, I figured if I watched long enough, I would begin to understand.

The last Ramones concert in Seattle, 1994.

That would have been amazing.

Smoke said...

I'm good. Trying to think about what to cook for supper but it's so pretty outside.

^_^

Anonymous said...

Do you think cheese will work, BC?

Smoke said...

I've never been in the pit. The thought of all those people being that close to me, honestly, scares me to death.

I'm gonna try it though. I gotta try it at least once. O_O

Anonymous said...

I wouldn't survive in the pit.

Way too claustrophobic.

Anonymous said...

Splash, it was. It was outdoors too, thousands of people and the pit was all grass and mud. A group of people took their huge blanket and made a circle around it, then people would take turns going onto the blanket and everyone would throw them into the air. I mean like, high, and in time with the music. Well the lighting people caught onto this and everytime someone would go flying, they'd flash all the lights on them. It was so amazing.

I remember that some guy in the pit picked me up and started walking away with me. O_O

Mostly what I remember from that show was that I was homesick for NY, and I almost cried when they played Rockaway Beach. Their backdrop was a brick wall with "The Ramones" scrawled graffiti style across. And at one point they started chanting, "New York New York, there's no place like home!" over and over again.

Oh man, unforgettable.

Elena, thanks. I've been hearing great reviews about the tour so far, the only problem is, is if I WANT to go, but I think I'm gonna. I don't want the 40 bucks to go to waste.

I guess I'm going then. We're trying to head for the pit area and I haven't figured out what time to leave yet.

Anonymous said...

I remember crowd surfing a few years back at a Hallux gig.

The crowd was insane, the pit was brutal, but the atmosphere was electric. Those guys know how to rock your fucking socks off, thats for sure.

Anonymous said...

Oh man.

I would have killed to experience that.

Figuratively, of course.

Smoke said...

I'm hoping I don't panic. It's all Solly's fault. She used to hold me down with a blanket over my head when we were little. Ever since then, the thought of being confined to a small space....

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!

Anonymous said...

As awesome as it would be to be right there, I'm totally that dork of a kid who's in the closest seating area doing my own thing.

I need a three-foot radius at all times, people.

Smoke said...

Remember how I told you I freaked out when Kid Rock told everyone to turn around and high-five someone else?

OMG....a moment of pure terror for me. I swear to God. I know it sounds silly but it really freaks me out.

Anonymous said...

I had a relative (can't remember who now) do that to me one time. It was with a zipped up sleeping bag, and they zipped the damn thing up so I couldn't get out.

If I knew what panic attacks were then, I'm pretty sure I had one.

Anonymous said...

Mustard, concerning the pit, I survived, but I was sore for at least three days straight. I might go back again. If you're planning on going to the pit, bring a LOT of water.

You can get dehydrated pretty fast. I ended up being so thirsty after that I even drank my friends ice tea, after paying six bucks for a large coke, although I used my own cup.

Lol, cheese would be good pancake zilla.

Anonymous said...

Yeah! I'm sorry, but that was funny. ;)

I could just picture you pulling out your germ gel and slathering yourself in it!

Anonymous said...

Hallux, I've never heard of them. ^_^ Never crowd surfed either. Well not on purpose.

Smoke, Splash, you think you're going to panic, and then oddly, you kind of don't. It's hard to explain; I'm one of those "don't get into my bubble!" people, too, but you sort of let that go.

The other best pit experience was this band called TchKung! in Seattle. They were this mad, crazy mostly percussion highly political activist group. The percussion was on anything they could find: think Street Drum Corps only really angry and with lots of fire. Not pyro: they would just light stuff on fire on stage.

The pit there was totally sick. They had a lot of fetish people in their audience and man, I don't even need to tell you. O_o

Anonymous said...

O_o Solly! I'm flabbergasted. ;)

I'd better go, I can't sit on my ass all day, I need to get shit done.

Catch you later, beautiful people!

Anonymous said...

LOL Hallux. Oh man. ^___^

I wanted to share this with you all. it was written about the Dumblaine massacre in scotland. written many years ago. just shows how many hiddeous acts do go on around the world.

The hole

There was a great big classroom, bare and old
not a single soul, just a great big hole.
the window was smashed into a thousand pieces,
there was brown paper with crumples and creases.
then the hole got bigger and bigger and suddenly someone pulled the trigger.
then i noticed the gun in the corner sat next to it was jack warner.
then i realised it fitted together.
it stayed in my mind, forever and ever.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, you should do something. ;)

Later!

Anonymous said...

Sorry, inside joke. Heehee

elena said...

Okay I just want to mention something. You know how a while back we were talking about how good it feels to do something for someone else? Not for any reason other than to just be nice and hope that the person in turn will do something nice for someone else.

Well I had an extra ticket for last nights show. When we were standing in line waiting to get our tickets I overheard a young fan who was tying to get a GA ticket but they were sold out..

The look on her face when I gave her the ticket was worth so much more than what that ticket cost me.

Anonymous said...

You can so, 4:47! I encourage it.

Anonymous said...

Oh, man. Fim. That's, I dunno what that is.

Smoke said...

Bye, Anon.

Fimble,

That's sad.

Anonymous said...

Elena, that's great. Really. That probably made her entire world.

That's so sweet.

I did that at two 30STM concerts (I got stood up at BOTH of them!) AND with two extra tickets at PR last summer (AGAIN stood up.)

That's what fans do. When you know someone is just there to be in the music, and it seems like they missed their chance, you want to share the feeling with them.

Anonymous said...

I love how people have to point things out to me.

Very funny! (There's no way out of it now. ;)

And I don't have any!

Anonymous said...

Supafly!

Supafly for a brownie guy!

And the week will be over when? >.<

farawaysoclose said...

hi guys!!

elena said...

K - I did that at my PR show in Denver. I went to the very back of the lawn area and found two very tired, sunburned MCR fans and asked them if they would like 9th rows seats. Good Lord you would have thought I'd offered them gold but actually to them I'm sure the tickets were as precious as gold. I understand that feeling. It just made me feel so good to do that for them. I like that feeling!

Anonymous said...

Fantastic, right?

Then you get the freaks who want your pit tickets so badly they'll offer you, well, lots of things. I had people waving fifty dollar bills at me for my wristband while I was in the pit.

UMM NO! ;)

They ended up jumping over anyway.

Smoke said...

My son is making me go back to the trampoline. O_O

With no brownies. >_<

Hey Brownie Moshing Pit Anon,

Why don't you go make me some. ^_^

Be back in a little bit. Unless I get thrown off the side. O_o

Anonymous said...

Hi faraway, how are you love? Elena, that's awesome :)

Anonymous said...

Hey FASC!

I'm totally gonna make me some brownies this weekend. And I'm gonna eat the whole pan. O_O

Have fun, Smoke! Holler for me! ;)

Anonymous said...

Hey Lucy! I dunno know if Anon would share or not. I guess if we asked nicely and they hadn't already ALL BEEN EATEN! ;)

FASC:
Same here. It's been relatively quiet around the band. Can't complain though. They all deserve some much-needed time off. We've got just under a month to go!

Anonymous said...

hehe I have it on series link too, along with desperate housewives.

farawaysoclose said...

We've got just under a month to go!

i know mustard!! it's been a good 18 months + where MCR have been in the press and around for us to see and check up on. i'm going to hate not hearing about them . i know that's pathetic but i really am.......all of it....the good, the bad and the ugly !!!!

farawaysoclose said...

Anonymous said...

Hi lucy *waves*

Anonymous said...

It's been one hell of a tour, that's for sure.

I guess if we looked up 'work ethic' in the dictionary, we know one of the many we'd find.

It's going to be a little hard putting this tour to rest. Quite a large stepping stone in my life, so I think it will all be very bitter-sweet.

Anonymous said...

Hi BC!

I know Splash, I'm in denial at the moment. It's going to be 18 months at the earliest I would imagine until we see them again. Unless they do any festivals or something.

Anonymous said...

But more LEATHERMOUTH. ^____^ (Which hopefully won't be as wearing, you know?)

Okay guys, I'm off to KF. Catch you later!

Oh hey there Bean! :)

Anonymous said...

Have fun K!

Love, love, love Leathermouth!

sdock10 said...

Wassup BlogBelievers?

Hey Mayo,

How are ya?

sdock10 said...

I'm thirsty!

What do we have to drink up in here?

Anonymous said...

More Leathermouth! So very true!

I'm anxious to see where the guys will be at musically by the time the next record arrives. I know Gerard had mentioned taking the band back to a more edgier, raw sound, and I'm excited for this. I'm ready to see them be just a band again. It was an endeavor, The Black Parade, but I think we need My Chemical Romance back in full force.

KnowwhatI'msayin'?

Anonymous said...

Hey, Sdock!

I think Mayo has some prune juice or sumthin'.

Probably wouldn't be too keen on that, huh?

There are going to be some serious MCR withdrawals happening when this is over....But we will have the new DVD and there is always LOTMS..I never get tired of watching it....and we do have 3 cds worth of music that I'm still not tired of....and we have each other...so it's all good. We got this shit.

sdock10 said...

Hey Ergo!

Sdock:

We won't have this shit if this kid can't find her LOTMS. It's like losing a part of you. It's like Linus and his blanket.

But, yeah. I'll gladly go through withdrawels for them to have a break and make some more stuffs. I will gladly do that. :)
