I will repeat it again and again.
For thirty-two, then thirty-three
time stopped. But, when does it end?
With empty rooms and unfilled beds,
and desperation; the last moments
and too many words left unsaid.
I am copying each name with bold black ink onto plain white card, filling the empty space with the only tangible evidence I have. One at a time I place a card face down before me while I consider each as if it were my own. Then, on the back of each card I write my name.
I can, but they cannot.
So, I will.

«Oldest ‹Older 3401 – 3600 of 3839 Newer› Newest»This is my second time going to see MCR, PR being the first, so I was blown away by how much better this show was. The theatre was beautiful and quite small. We had a great view from the bar rail, completely unobtructed and the only thing we couldn't see were their feet. My friend only recently started listening to them but she already knew the words to several songs so that was great and it was fun being with someone who was so excited about the show. She really knows nothing personal about them, she just fell in love with their music, which is very cool considering we are both approaching middle-age status and we found a band to get excited over together. We yelled and screamed and sang along and were throughly blissed-out by the time we left. The band performed great and there was a lot of energy in the crowd. Everyone was happy. The guys looked like they were having a really good time up there. As we left, I grabbed a free MCR poster and we walked back by the buses to the car. We noticed a small line forming for autographs so I got in line while she went to get her dog and take him on a walk. After a while she came back with Otis and stood in line with me. She didn't want an autograph because she didn't want to take up time when so many long-time fans were waiting. I was willing to wait to get an autograph for my daughter and after about 45 minutes Frank came out, but the others had already left for the hotel we were told. Frank was so kind and signed anything people had and gave a hug to anyone who wanted one which is awesome. When it was our turn he immediately started petting my friends dog and the he signed a pic for my daughter. I asked him to say somrthing to inspire her to keep going to guitar lessons. He wrote the nicest thing to her and let's just say she is very excited and we already framed it. After we finished he asked us to stick around so he could pet her dog so we stood to the side for about 15 minutes and then the security guys had us stand right behind him for the rest of the time. It was kind of surreal being that close to him, yet it also felt normal because he is such a down-to-earth guy and he just wanted to see her dog some more. I must say it was fascinating watching him "work". He was so friendly and kind to everyone and he never rushed, but patiently listened to everyone's words. My friend was floored that he acted so real and humble. She is a fan for life now. When the time came for him to go he turned around and loved on Otis some more and gave us both great hugs goodbye. Frank is one of a kind. I never would have dreamed that I would get to spend so much time in his presence. It was such a pleasure.
oh anon not a problem we seem to discuss food quite regularly!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING THE REST OF YOUR LIFE?
Am I loud and clear or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, are we just getting more lost?
I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
[Chorus]
We live on front porches and swing life away
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave 'til the end
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
I've been here so long; think that its time to move
The winter's so cold summer's over too soon
so let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow
I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we've had some times I wouldn't trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go
[Chorus]
We live on front porches and swing life away
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave 'til the end
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
I'll show you mine if you show me yours first

What you peoples doin'? X_x
oh detroit anon how marvellous!
I wish they'd come out at our show, but Frank signed an autograph for my friend and took a pic (and mikey) as they left the hotel the next day, (which I should have staked out with them!) and funnily I watched a clip where Ray said his worst habit is being late and my friend said they were all on the bus when he came rushing out with his bag, obviously hasn't changed.
Ergoproxy, I'm afraid that my favorite topics often cause arguments. I wouldn't want that to happen here. Deeper emotional conversation is very much my personal favorite.
Anonymous:
You have nothing to apologize for! Additionally, we talk very deep stuff a lot. A lot. So your topics would be welcomed.
Detroit Anon:
That's great! And how lovely of Frank to do that! For you guys and for Otis!
Hello, SMOOOOOKE!
Detroit Anon!
That is so awesome! I'm glad you guys had such a great time. :)
MUSSSSTTTTTTTTAAAAAAARRRD!!!
Hey there Anon,
How's you?
Oh and Detroit Anon,
Will your friend let me borrow Otis to take to Birmingham? ^_^
that's ok anon, you feel deeply emotional now or would you like to remain frivolous?
Hello Amy and Da anon just read your review. I am glad you had a great time. I think I saw Mib and s&v name so hello as well.
Anon no need to worry about your favorite topic startingfights We are big girls and can handle it.
Sadly there were absolutely no photos allowed. The security was very strict about this rule. We asked Frank's security guard why and he told us it was to prevent bootlegging and some other crap which made no sense at all. I guess I'll just have my memories.
Hello there, MJ!
Hey, MJ!
Detroit Anon,
That sucks about no pics. I'm afraid that's what we are gonna be told, too. Sloss Furnace is a weird place.
hi smoke!
haha frank could now be bombarded by people with dogs for autographs!
Hi EP!
I have a dog but she stays with my in-laws so technically I guess she is theirs but anyhoo....
She would rip the place to shreds.
Not a pocket-puppy. ^_^
Anon,
I am a huge fan of cream soda.
But it has to be in a glass bottle. I'm weird like that.
I can't drink out of tin or styrofoam. It weirds me out.
Hey Smoke!
Detroit Anon, glad you had a good time!
Hi MJ!
styrofoam is funny on your teeth and lips.
I don't mind cans but glass is so much nicer, it gets colder too somehow
RW!
Thank you for the yummy goodies you brought back for me and no, I did not share with Solly.
Hee-hee.
RW said:

Me either. Maybe it's an Aquarian thing! ;)
Hi Star!
I can't drink out of a styrofoam cup without biting it. O_o
Coke is best out of a glass bottle or can. Unless you have crushed ice. Hate plastic. Yuck.
S&V20, that dog was the only reason we were allowed to stay. I don't think she would lend him out, but you could maybe borrow one from a friend. Hopefully the fangirls won't find out about our "ticket" to getting behind the barricade. Really, we didn't plan this, it was just a lucky break.
Detroit Anon, thank you for shaing! :)
I met Frank at PR last summer. He was one of the sweetest, down-to-earth people I've ever met, rock star or otherwise.
It is suddenly very, very cold in here.
:p
-A
Haha! Maybe not. He'll have dogs everywhere! ^_^
LOL at pocket-puppy!
I had a tiny Pomeranian named Boris. All of my pocketbooks were giant, so he had no problem fitting in them. I would smuggle him into stores all the time. He knew the code words "It's store time", and would immediately behave. People must have thought I was nuts because I'd walk down the aisles talking into my purse.

Dogs, then Cats... soon someone will bring a reptile or two.. next thing you know, some old bugger shows up with an Ark, hoping to meet MCR.

I'm still kind of hungry.
I can't imagine why. With all the food talk and what not. /Mikey
Thank you for the yummy goodies you brought back for me and no, I did not share with Solly.
Ooo! You're naughty!
You're welcome :)

I would pay money to see that AND the look on the guys' faces.

Star I am so sorry I didn't say hello to you earlier.
Hello Star
I can't drink out of tin or styrofoam. It weirds me out.
Me either. Maybe it's an Aquarian thing! ;)
Maybe so! :)
That's okay, MJ!
It's a chatty night in here!
Dogs, then Cats... soon someone will bring a reptile or two.. next thing you know, some old bugger shows up with an Ark, hoping to meet MCR.
HAHAHAHAHA!
I think you're onto something there!
The funniest part of the night was his big muscular security guard telling us how he's always wanted a chiuahua like the Taco Bell one. We chatted quite a lot with that guy.
I could see my mother's cat at an MCR concert. She'd be yawning and rolling her eyes. Covering one ear with a paw.
She'd be totally unimpressed and bored.
She doesn't know she's a cat either. ^_^
next thing you know, some old bugger shows up with an Ark, hoping to meet MCR.
and a giant finger points down from parted clouds.....
Don't worry.
That'll just be Ray.
I immediately thought of elephants when I saw the word "ark". My husband was coming home from work late the other night, and there were police on the side of the road and crazy traffic. He was looking to see what the problem was, and he saw 3 elephants and all these trainers crossing Route 120. The circus was at Continetnal Airlines Arena, and they were walking them over to the train tracks to board them on trains!
RW, I'll dress up like the old fart if you'll start that ark. ;D
-A
Well, I'm off. Gots to get to bed and get ready for twelve long ass hours tomorrow. >_<
Mayo,
Hope your weekend was lovely. Maybe you aren't dreading Monday like I am. ^_~
SS,
Taters. Heh-heh. The answer to everything, right? Damn straight. Hope you have a great week, dude. Take care, okay?
BlogBelieve,
Mwah! Sweet dreams errbody!
my cat would probably be up there attacking mic cords and trying to grab Bobs drumsticks...
or quite possibly sitting mesmerized atop a cymbal twitching as he calculates the pounce distance to the fro
Sleep tight, Smoke!

Merlot would be cowering behind an amp, and anytime he'd catch sight of me, he'd HOWL. "COME AND GET ME OUT OF HERE! NOW."
Hazel... well. She'd be curling up to the first non-cat liker in the band. She does this strictly to annoy people.

If I start the ark it'll be filled with kitties!
Night, S&V :)

So does half the crowd. XD
-A
Haha!!
Is Bob afraid of spiders too?
As far as cats go mine would be the very loud one meowing every time someone says something.
MJ, that would be horrific!
Imagine?!
I'd wear an eye patch and borrow my uncle's parrot.
Aaargh, mateys! My parrot and I love you all!
Poor Frank, I hope I haven't said too much here. It's bad enough that he's the only one out there signing 200+ autographs a night, but now he'll have to take time to pet everyone's animals as well, because you know he would.
Goodnight all.
eep! I certainly wouldn't hang around an ark if there were spiders!
Yes Bob is. On that episode of much music I think it's called. they brought out a tarantula both Bob and Frank ran As would have I.
goodnight detroit anon sweet dreams
star I triple dare you to go to a show as a pirate and say that!
Good night, Detroit Anon!
but now he'll have to take time to pet everyone's animals as well, because you know he would.
I bet he'd enjoy that. Petting animals is like therapy.
They did that on Much Music, MJ? That's hilarious!!
Night, Detroit Anon :)
Goodnight DA. I don't think you should worry to much if the fan girls try it his body guards will be there to protect him.
I must sign off as well. Got to be up early
Goodnight, all! :)
Hi guys! I've missed so much and I'm really far behind. After a really quick scan all I can honestly remember is Splash's question about root beer. Dunno if it was answered or not but I'm pretty sure root beer is saspirella. My friend down the street had a tree and we used to chew on the twigs while we were outside playing; they tasted like root beer. :)
Sooo today! Bought and planted trees, LOLed really, really hard over a misheard lyric. Played video games. Then Mummy K, Jo-chan and I went out shopping for cookie dough and ice cream. Back at Mummy and Daddy K's we baked cookies and watched Kung Pow. This is one of the best movies ever, partly due to its ability to make Mummy K laugh so hard that she damn near falls off the sofa.
Guys, Mummy K is also entering the work force once again. Congratulations Mummy K!
Now daughter K needs to figure out what she wants out of "the work force" too and has to make some more calls tomorrow.
Wish daughter K luck with that, because daughter K had a phone conversation last night with an ex-coworker that was very eye opening re: current job.
Anyways, so I hope you are all doing really well and have had as fantastic a weekend as I have had. :)
Good night, RW!
Hello, Kapunua!
Ergo, I'd be afraid something would happen to the parrot in NYC. Maybe I'll just grab a pigeon off the street and put it on my shoulder!
Good luck, K & Mummy K! :)
Hey, check this out. Do you guys believe in signs?
I was checking my email just now and there's an article about "finding your dream job." This is one of the tips they gave:
Even confident people stay in unsatisfying jobs because they feel safe, and because they're afraid of making a bad decision. But in the quest to uncover a source of meaningful work, though, your worst enemy is inertia. Make an effort to do one thing, like emailing a networking contact or attending an event -- that moves you a bit closer to your big-picture goal.
That's exactly what I was talking about the other day.
Sign, y/n?
Thanks RW! :D
star good point about the parrot, perhaps a stuffed one would be easier than a pigeon!
goodnight RW sweet dreams
hello K!
Sign? YES!
Go for it, K!
And now, I must head to bed...
'Night :)
Kapunua,
Yes, I would definitely call that a sign.
it has the hallmarks of a sign, and sounds like the time could be right too
Hm.
It has just occurred to me that I have never TP'ed anything in my life.
I believe I must now accomplish this.
-A
Well we shall see tomorrow, right? I'll definitely let you know.
*nervous*
Thanks guys, goodnight RW!
K what was the misheard lyric?
Bedtime for me too. ANOTHER early morning.
I hate opening shifts.. *yawn*
Goodnight guys! Goodnight Mayonaise and SS!
-A
Oh it was fantastic Ergo.
When we were out planting trees and listening to TBS, we got to the part where he says, "Everything I know about breaking hearts I learned from you, it's true. I've never done it with the style and grace you have, but I made long term plans...."
Jo-chan thought he said, "I've never done it with the style and grace you have, but I make love to plants."
I about died.

goodnight amyranth sweet dreams!
K that is a brilliant lyric!
actually reminds me I must look up a lyric, hang on...
Good Evening dear Mayo;
How the heck are ya? =] Today is Sunday. Today marks the beginning to a hella bizzy week. I don't know what lays ahead in your path for the week, but I do know that my week is filled with! Stress, stress, and you can believe it? More stress! I've got five scheduled shifts of work, five days of school, two days of drivers ed, a day of guitar lessons.. where can I fit in me time? I know that I'm always complaining to you and everyone else about this shit, but fuck, it's hard! My father told me to quit my job. Fat chance! How else can I support myself? He laughed. He thought I was kidding. Lately, it seems as if my parents have stopped supporting me. Financially, I mean. Why do you think I'm pushing myself? It's taken a toll on me physically. I've been having dizzy spills for the past couple days. RAWR.
I hate this, yet love it at the same time. The adrenaline rush is making me want more. I crave this sort of feeling. Crazy? No, I think not.
I know you're due to post tonight Mayonaise, because I always just miss you by a sliver of time. I hope that you have a fan-fucking-tastic week Mayonaise.
SS, you too. I know I'm never ever around when you are (that actually saddens me), but, I still sort of think of us as buddies. Amigos. Friends. Whatever you want to call it. =]
Anyways, enough of my bitching. I'm off to practice my guitar. =]
Have a great night, or awesome day, everyone!!

Hello Kapu and goodnight RW.
And goodnight everyone else I am off to bed.
Isn't it, Ergo? ^_^
PH, I'm real sorry that you're going through that. But you've got your head on straight so even if it's hard for you now, you'll do all right. You remind me of my cousin in some ways, too.
10:58, well she shouldn't; she's already real pretty and she shapes her eyebrows nicely too. If she was an actual, you know, musician instead of a hack in a hack shock band that thinks the height or wit is degrading minorities, I might think she was cool. Ah well.
Hello and good night MJ!
hi PH *HUG* and enjoy your practice adn look after yourself
goodnight MJ sweet dreams
anon with the pic, not really it's often used to make lips appear fuller or even up uneven lips,
however using a really dark lip liner and paler lipstick can be nasty
Everything about her is tacky and in bad fashion.
K, thats what my father told me. In ways, he's glad that I'm working and going to school, because my sister didn't finish high school, has never had a job, is now stuck at home with a broken ankle and two month old baby. He's proud that I can do it. But in ways, he's super upset that I'm doing this when he thinks I should be out doing 'normal' teenage things.
Normal? What the fuck is that anyways?
Hi Gang! This is a "hit and run" post from me.
Mayo, I just wanted to tell you that life had been choking the shit out of me the past few weeks, so I took a vacation from it.
I went to the beach for the weekend. I found that sitting on the beach, listening to the ocean's voice, breathing the salty air helped the frazzled thoughts slip away. I enjoyed the ocean breeze whispering in my ears saying "Relax. Relax, Relax." And, I did.
I pampered myself this weekend and enjoyed the sun and ocean, wine and laughter. I slept like the dead. I feel like a new person.
I hope you get a chance to relax and get centered. Do something you enjoy. Laugh heartily. Sleep like you didn't have a worry in the world. It will do you good.
With that, I'm going to bed. Sweet dreams to everybody.
Hey all, this comment is from L.
"Hey everyone, just a note to say hello and hope you are all doing well. I decided to stay an extra day with my parents and come back home tomorrow. There is something about your childhood home that tugs on your heart, that stays with you even when you go out into the great wide world of responsibility. I looked at some older pictures this weekend, and am bringing back a beautiful black and white photo of my grandparents. You never forget where you come from and carry that with you always.
"I hope you all have one special memory you can keep in your heart and treasure.
"Mayo,
"Have a wonderful night and don't forget to turn the light on before you walk through your room, or you'll do like I did and bash the Hell out of your toes on the bedpost. (You'd think I'd remember where it was after all this time, wouldn't you?)
"I love you, sweetheart. Take care.
"SS,
"I hope you are well, dear friend, and finding the comfort you need. You should try 'kilt lettuce' with 'slab bread'. I've got the recipes if you need them. :)
"Truly, take care of yourself. You are loved, you know that. I offer this to you: 'Never compromise yourself, you're all you've got.' (Janis Joplin)
"Goodnight, everyone!
"Love, L."
J
Jenn! I've missed you! I'm glad you took a vacation from the world. Maybe I should take your lead and do the same?
Anyways, sweet dreams!
<3
P.S. Anyone seen Sister Midnite? I miss her like crazy!
J, tell Opal that she is missed!
i want a nutella and fluff sandwich.
^^ anon, YUMMM. =] Nutella is amaazing.
^^ anon, YUMMM. =] Nutella is amaazing.
Double oops!
from bury me in black -
"Just give us war, worn lipstick by the door if I inflame"
I never knew this was what he said but to me it always sounded
"just give us war, lipstick blood and urine finding me"
I really knew that wasn't it, but I couldn't for the life of me what he was singing, and that went for most of the song!
hi Jen!
sounds lovely
and anon can you make me one? but hold the fluff
Now I am truly off to bed.
Mayonaise; please know that if I come on here tomorrow or Tuesday, and I see that you posted at like 11:20, and I left at 11:15, I will be a little upset with you.
(kidding.__)
Sweet dreams all<3
actually I'll correct that..
"just give us war, war, lipstick blood and urine finding me"
wouldn't want to get it more incorrect!
goodnight PH sweet dreams
I'm on the phone with her right now, PH! So I'll tell her straight away. :)
How are you doing, honey?
J
Actually Ergo, I never knew what the hell that lyric was to begin with.
Which is kinda sad because I always sang along with that anyway. I'm one of those ones who, when alone at least, will happily sing, "blah blah deedableedaddoomamamaheeyooodickleweee!"
when she doesn't know the actual words.
J, I'm just dandy! =] Still randomly lurking! How're you?
Kapunua, I do the same thing!
Heehee! it's fun, I always make it sound like the sounds in the song, but I have no idea wtf they are saying. I only do that for laughs when other people are around though.
Here was the other funny thing last night. We were trying to decide what to watch and I asked my cousin, "Have you ever seen 'Heathers'?"
Her honest reply: "Heather's what?"
K you should read the lyrics! I had probably 10% of the words right and that was the easy ones. I am surprised that at least lipstick and lipgloss were in there, I though I was wrong on them for sure.
I'll do the same though fill in the gaps!
"blah blah deedableedaddoomamamaheeyooodickleweee
sounds better than my efforts
hello J say hi to L
Heathers?!
That's honestly an awesome movie! Christian Slater and Winona Ryder were an awesome pair in that movie!
Doing fine, Bubbles, can't complain.
Hey Ergo, hey K, hey Anon!
Misunderstood song lyrics: remember "Eyes Without a Face" by Billy Idol? My sister used to hear it as "How's about a date?"
J
One of the classics, PH, for sure. ^_^ Still one of my favorite and most quoted movies. "Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?" :D
One of my favorite misheard lyrics was one of my own. In the Queen song "Killer Queen" he says, "met a man from China." What I heard?
"Met a mad vagina."
heather's what? lol
I saw that when you posted it earlier - classic!
"Mad vagina"! heeheehee Something disturbing about hearing Freddie Mercury sing those words, anyway.
And don't EVEN get me started on Bob Dylan...
J
*comes in singing*
"I gotta tell you what I'm feelin' inside, I could lie to myself, but it's true
There's no denying when I look in your eyes, girl I'm out of my head over you"
Hello Mayo, SS, Paperheart, J, Ergo, Jenn, anons and lurkers!
How are you all tonight? Did you all have a nice, relaxing Sunday?
Ergo: You were correct! I didn't mind at at all ;)
Entropy: I liked your moon pictures! Thanks for sharing, love!
Paper: *huge hug* Get some rest young lady and try to get in some 'me time' ;)
L: GREAT to hear from you (via J).
Enjoy the extra night and day back
"home"!
Amy: *sobs* We miss you (and Lear)! When are you on 'night shift' again?
Mayo: That hoover didn't suck you in, did it? Ohhhh......you weren't plotting the destruction of the DAM were you?
*worries if Mayo's evil plot was discovered and he is now incarcerated*
(That would explain the sentry)
Hmmm.....
SS: Tators added to the list? Exactly WHAT are you doing with those geese, frogs and bunnies????
I sincerely HOPE vegetable oil is NOT INVOLVED! ;)
*worries about SS's geese, frogs and bunnies now*
Hugs and Love,
~Namaste~
6/Wendy
*continues singing*
(credit to KISS & Michael Bolton for the lyrics)
"I lived so long believin' all love is blind
But everything about you is tellin' me this time
It's forever, this time I know and there's no doubt in my mind
Forever, until my life is thru, girl I'll be lovin' you forever..."
I just overall love that movie!
I'm off now, for good. =]
Sweet dreams!
*leaves a box for Mayonaise*
In due time, once I think you are ready, Dear Mayonaise, you'll be able to open this 'gift'. Until then, you are left to wonder.
K you don't want to meet one of them!
J bob dylan usually just sounds like "nah ne nane nanan nana"
there was a 70's song called "I was made for dancing" and my mum heard "I was sago dancing" - I mean why would you be sago dancing?
hi wendy! *smoooooooooooch*
SIX!
I've damn missed you! I realized that I never responded to your email! I wrote it, but it has been in my drafts for about a month! I'm sorry my dear!
Sweet dreams!

That's okay, love! I know you are a VERY VERY busy young lady!
You just take care of yourself.
I've missed you too, btw :)
Six, you best take care of youself as well! Otherwise, who else will be there to watch my BlogBelieve recital? ;)

I DID stay home ALL WEEKEND.
I missed MINISTRY to get more r&r time. I heard I missed a heck of show too!
I hope you can be ready for that recital by JUNE ;)
PEACHES! *hugs and kisses* KISS and Michael Bolton? Should I ask about why you've mentioned those names together?
Ergo: Dylan just frightens me. Tom Petty must've taken lessons from him. Dang. And what's "sago dancing"?
J
Sweetcheeks!!!!!!!!!!!
How are you tonight? Had any good green shirted drummer dreams lately?
;)
hello BC!
we had sago like a dessert, like tapioca
sago
I have no idea how you would dance with it!
Hi sugarplum, how are you? *smothers with ultra weekend sloppy kisses and hugs*
I'm good, thanks. Just downloading some songs and taking it easy. As for those dreams, I had quite a few already so fat ;)
I notice in some of the pictures he has a little belly, but that's okay, I like it.
Did I say fat? Ha ha, I meant far. Hi Ergo, J *waves*
I was thinking of the sago palm too! I've got a sago palm actually. It attacks me.

PEACHES! *hugs and kisses* KISS and Michael Bolton? Should I ask about why you've mentioned those names together?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Haha! I know! T'is an ODD collaboration, isn't it?
But, it's TRUE! It happened!
Well, no stranger than Gene Simmons dating Liza M. ;)
She gives him credit for helping her straighten out too....
(ummm.....I'm just not so certain the 'straightened' lasted)
Maybe Liza needs to spend some time with Gene again....
*applause for Gene*
*is having technical difficulties tonight*
Peaches, I told L what you said, and sends you love back!
Sorry, I'm still on the phone, and it's hard to type and hold the phone...
I'll be back in a few, kids.
J
*hugs and kisses for J*
*ultra sloppy kisses and hugs for BC*
Your welcome sugarplum :)
Paul was always my favorite though!
Oooops!
*waves to K if she's still around*
What songs are you downloading tonight, sweetcheeks?
Have you heard the new Motley Crue single? Billboard gave it ONE heck of a review.....
mentioned 'skidmarks' and all!
LOL
I was downloading some cheesy 80's, mainly for nostalgia, and I also downloaded a couple of songs from Exodus and DevilDriver.
Gahh, I stopped listening to Motley Crue when I was a kid ;p
Hello darlings!
:D
It's time to start again, sweetcheeks ;)
It's their (all four original members) first studio album in 10 YEARS! I'm liking it :)
I'm good Wendy, BC. My pizza was delicious.
And Motley Crue ay? fab!
And sweetcheeks? sugarplum? what's going on here hmm?
*hugs Wendy*
That's good to hear cupcake. Wendy calls me sweetcheeks and I call her sugarplum. They're nicknames for each other :)
Ooooh, so on Youtube someone uploaded all the parts to the original version of Sweeney Todd, the one with George Hearn and Angela Lansbury. I just watched all my favorite parts and seriously, it's like going back to my childhood. I was nine when I first saw it and became ridiculously obsessed with the play. PBS used to play it all during the summer of '82 like at 6 AM. I'd either get up early to watch it, or stay awake all night.
I so clearly remember watching the sun rise in my yard, over the swamp in the east. The only other person awake was Frank, the farmer down the street and I'd see him start all his weeding and watering as the sun was coming up. Frank is a cool dude, he lost his vocal cords years ago and can only speak in a harsh whisper. He's got a darling of a wife from Japan, named Yoko. Anyway, then I'd go inside to watch my favorite play. After it was over I'd go to bed for a few more hours because there was nothing to do. Then I'd get up again and make breakfast for everyone.
There was another play I liked to watch in the mornings too, it was called Pearly but I don't remember what it was about. I wasn't anywhere near as obsessed with it as I was with Sweeney Todd.
Looking back, I guess that's kind of weird.
Okay, WHO else is looking forward to CRUE FEST this year as much as I AM?????
We get PAPA ROACH, Buckcherry, SIXX:A.M., Motley Crue and Trapt!!!!
*happy happy happy dance*
I see BC *huffs*
Hi there Kapunua :)
Cupcake: You know you're my beautiful, yummy SPRINKLES! ;)
Wendy, I think we're making our poor Cupcake jealous ^_^
And I think you're the only one going to Cruefest ^_^
Oh OH OH!
Loving Motley Crue right now!
SomeONE else in blogbelieve MUST be going to Crue Fest!
Where is FangBang? I bet she's going! :D
*wonders if J is still on the phone with L*
Ok--off the phone, got my Tab, my baked Cheetos, been to the loo (a nod to my Aussie/Anglo friends there)...I'm ready for whatever happens next.
HI BC! HI CUPCAKE! *hugs and kissies for all*
Hi again Peaches, and K--and where's Ergo?
L says hi and bye to everyone, she'll be back tomorrow, and I spoke to Elena briefly on the phone, she and Mr Elena are at the casino tonight.
J
Yeah, where is Fang Bang?
Cupcake! Did you watch the video?
*big smile and hug for my Sprinkles*
I hope Elena's having a great time. Hi J, how are you? *hugs and squeezes*
Bye L
Hi there J! :) Tell L I said hi, and Elena too next time you talk, it's been so long!
And yes Wendy, I watched, I danced! I'm wearing just the right outfit! haha
hi cupcake
sorry all doing pilates
Mayo, do you have any childhood memories like that? You know, those times when you were alone, doing your own thing? in your own strange little child-world, maybe a little dark, maybe a little scary? That's what childhood was like for me and I guess that's what I remember best, those times of being alone. And I liked the dark / scary times, I was into it. I can still recall that little tingle, you know? Of the unknown?
Yeah, I just leapt from Sweeney Todd to that crazy tingle of excitement and fear and hope that was almost everyday of my childhood. WTF?
But Mayo, do you? Have those kinds of memories I mean? Will you talk about this sometime? Or will you just read this post and nod your head going, "Uh huh, I know what this chick is talking about here." or shake your head and go, "WTF is she on about now, this mad woman with all her goddamn questions?!"
Do you know what I'm talking about, that feeling? Those times? I'm not talking about your most precious childhood memory, or the biggest or more profound, but more of a general sense. What kind of kid were you? Did you like the dark? Did you like that tickle of creepiness? Did you like to be alone? Did you sneak out of your house all stealth-like to watch the sun rise? Or to walk alone at night? And then did you play games by yourself, casting yourself as characters in the mad stories in your head? Like you knew that later on you'd probably be all chill and playing with some of your friends or whatever (if you're in my age group, Mayo, maybe you actually played games, like pretend games outside, instead of video games indoors,) but those times when you were alone, you created an entire world around you based on things that had caught your fancy?
Mayo, I hope that you did, and I hope that your dreams tonight give you that creeping tingle of pleasure that feels just the same as it did when you were nine.
You know what I mean?
Hiya Ergo, how are you?
BC, I'm good but my ear fucking hurts from being on the phone so long! :D I'm still writing away on MY NEW STORY, hint hint, how are you? ;)
Peaches, I never got into the Crue, sorry. But I do kind of like Buckcherry. They're kind of my guilty-pleasure band. I've had both their albums but took them to our trade-in book/CD store. Don't the MCR guys know Buckcherry, btw?
J
S(S)S, I know your words were to Star today, but I read them over and over. You're too right. Thank you for seeing it that way and not trivializing it.
You're a tater tot of kindness. ^_^
But seriously, more than that, you get things, you know. Like, more than most. So thank you for sharing that. ^_^
Good night, BlogBelieve! have as good a Monday as is possible.
Hush, J! Don't even try to capitalize words. It will not convince me to get started on the new chapter yet ^_^
I'm doing good, just downloading some songs.
Ohhh did someone say Buckcherry? hehe
Blogger just ATE my comment!
*pouts*
It involved watching, dancing, watching and dancing (again and again) and scothch!
Night K
And a WELCOME BACK to J, of course!
How did Elena sound, J? I know she must miss TJ. :(
9:50 are you playing games?
Goodnight Kapunua, sleep well.
Ergo, there's something slightly obscene about me sitting here eating baked Cheetos and you off doing Pilates. I should probably be off doing Pilates, too, but dammit, I just won't go. Lazy, interminably lazy.
*sticks tongue out--affectionately--at Ergo for being healthy*
BTW, I meant to tell you about this book that I found for L to read to her bunnies. It's called "Rabbit Pirates: A Tale of the Spinach Main." You and your daughter would love it. It's about these two French rabbits who reportedly used to be pirates, but now run a restaurant in Provence.
I read it to Pinkle and Dumplin tonight, and did all the bad French accents for the characters: Inspector Clouseau for one, the French taunter from "Holy Grail" for the other. I don't know why, but it made me think of you.
J
I love the song "Crazy Bitch" lol!
That song just makes me smile!
I also ADORE PAPA ROACH!!!!
And I can NOT miss a chance to see
SIXX:A.M. LIVE.
So, TEXAS here I COME - again ;)
Goodnight K!
*scrolled back up to read who was at 9:50*
I do believe that is TLA's love!
They always quote some of each other's words so at least we know they're talking to each other.
:)
I would HOPE neither are playing games! Looks like LOVE to me!
I laughed my ass off at this! Aw, capitalizing won't work? Fuck it all. That's all I can do. I can't bold or italicize, so capitalizing's what I have left...
*sticks tongue out at BC for ruining my only method of emphasizing things*
Wendy, when I talked to Elena, she sounded fine. Laughing, happy. But perhaps she was crying inside...
No, really, I think she's ok, at least right now.
Ooh, maybe she's had a couple. That would make her all giggly and stuff.
Cupcake, yes! I DID say Buckcherry. Do you like them too?
J
goodnight K sweet dreams , sleep comfortably!
I'm good thanks cupcake, trying to tone of a bit of extra padding I gained
*laughs evilly at J* Muhaha >:)
Promise, new chapter soon!
lol J!
I had to, I was threatened with surgery, and I have a wedding in 2 weeks and have to look better than my sis in law !!
and I loooove the french taunter!
I haven't heard a lot of their stuff,J, but I liked what I did hear.
BC, you make me laugh. Not in a making fun of you way, but I like the way you go along with silly things. Your sweet.
I feel and share your PAIN, J; for CAPITALIZING is all I have as well....
*passes tissue to J to wipe her "I am code deficient" tears*
BC: Didn't you say you were going to start working on part II today?
:D
*you're* correction
Aww thanks anon :)
Blogger needs an EDIT button, don't you think Anon?
Besides, I'm sure it wasn't your fault. It's the EVIL TYPO FAIRY ;)
i hope elena has a win, she'll miss TJ a lot I think and I hope Tj is having a safe trip!
So, last night I alluded to the Punks' Massive Concert Crash-and-Burn 2008. Here's the basic itinerary:
May 1--leave Knox Vegas for Memphis; get there early so we can scout out the "venue" (i.e., Beale Street Music Festival, held in Tom Lee Park), check out shops/restaurants/BB King's Place (club on Beale St), just hang
May 2--get up, go see the "Duck Parade" at the Peabody Hotel (ducks come out every morning at 10 and walk to the Park), check out the waterfront some more, etc before the MCR concert
May 3--head for St Louis and meet up with Elena, TJ, and Anima for the MCR show, then hit the road for
May 4--MCR show in Columbus, then stay overnight
May 5--head back to TN and hopefully still be in one piece, apiece!
Three states, three days, two crazy women, and five beautiful boys...
WILL AMERICA EVER BE THE SAME???
J
Me too, Ergo! How far did TJ have to travel this time? Does anyone know?
Ha anon616, you would think a college educated person would get her grammar correct *laughs*
Yeah I did Wendy, but shit, today was one of those days where I didn't feel like doing anything, and I didn't. I was lounging.
I was too busy ogling pictures of "my drummer" and listening to his band's music ha ha.
Short answer: NO
Long answer: I DOUBT IT - SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT! ;)
Ya'll are going to be exhausted J.
Don't forget to drink lots of fluids!!!! ;)
J, the "America" thing sounds like some cheesy ass movie line lol
First?
Oh J, that sounds so amazing! I'm emerald green with envy, but you ladies are going to have an amazing time.
One of those 'remember forever' things. :)
I'm on top, fuck!
Hehe! I heard Einstein couldn't spell to save his life. We're in good company, methinks ;)
Kapunua,
I know that many people talk a lot of shit about you. I know that people claim that you post too much random shit. They don't like your poetry and quotes and how you say good night and...... the list goes on about what people bitch about when it comes to you, they can't seem to keep their mouth shut when it comes to you. What other people do, it's somehow wrong when you do it. I'm here to say that's not fair.
Not only that, but I look forward to your long crazy posts. I like your randomness. I like the poems and quotes. I think you're the most eloquent person. You have intriguing things to say, you're bright, you seem to read a lot and have a lot of culture that you seem to want to share with people. If they dont like it, too bad!! You are far and away the best writer here (OPINION not to hurt anyone's feelings here)! and you have some genius lurking within you. I have read your blog and it's brilliant. Why are you not writing for a living.
I just have to say it because I know people bitch you out for things that others do alot worse than anything you say. I want you to know I think you're a truly cool and cultured person. Have a good night Kapunua,
a Lurker
I am not Mayo, I didn't want anyone to get confused and get mad about it so I wanted to say that.
Dang it BC!!!!! YOU PROMISED!
*pulls sheets and pillows off bed and tossed them on sofa AGAIN*
I'm not getting back into that bed until I can be ON TOP again!
;)
"Fetchez la vache!"
"We already have one, you see?"
"Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!"
Ah, good times.
Peaches: TJ was on her way to Cleveland from Kansas City, so...that far. :D And thanks for the commiseration. We poor techno-challenged dirty old bitches must stick together!
BC: As long as you have "leering at cute boys" as an excuse, you can call it "research". ;D
Cupcake: I only really like a handful of their songs, so I'm basically in the same boat!
Hello Anon, do we know you? I mean, have you been here before?
Ergo: Surgery?! Good grief, woman, it can't have been THAT much padding!
J
J you have a video camera?
if not hire/borrow or buy one!!
nice of you to say lurker
