How, in so few words, do you say what would take me a lifetime to say?
After a pretty iffy two days, it kind of sunk in. The things I needed to hear had never really been said before. I mean, I said them to myself because I thought that's what I needed to hear, but no one had ever said, "Shut the fuck up, and just listen to me."
So, I've come to the conclusion that if I want to be happy forever, I have to take chances, and I have to make mistakes, and I have to become something bigger than myself. I have to prepare myself for roadblocks, and I will have to accept the fact there will always be people telling me that I can't. I have to do this. I'm in way too damn deep to back out now. Once the heart is in, there is absolutely no going back. I'm needed out there.
So, now I need to make like Nike and just do it.
Do you ever just sit back and look around at all of this? Do you dissect yourself, turn your insides out and examine everything? I don't know if you see it, as you're sitting on the opposite side, but we've all grown so much, and I can't thank you enough.

Entropy, Henry was great! He is such a smart man, and really funny.
He has been all over the world and gets out there to talk to the people to find out what's really going on.
One of our favorite parts was when he described trying to stay out of the way of a prayer group in Pakistan and getting stuck in barbed wire.
He said "Now, they have been making barbed wire for a long time in Pakistan, so this is VERY GOOD barbed wire. It has my shoelaces, my pockets, my balls, and I'm contorted in some weird kind of yoga position trying not to fall fully into the wire. And people will say, "Oh, Henry, what happened to him, was he shot, was it a land mine, etc." and they will have to say, "No. Barbed Wire." And my tombstone will say "Unintended Error".

L, well, this person told me that almost every day their mother physically abuses them, and also one of their younger siblings and in their recent message, they told me that their father doesn't do anything to stop her, and that their mother had threatened to kill them.
What I did was to try to give them the best advice I could, but I also gave them a few phone numbers for an abuse hot line in case they need to speak to a counselor anonymously.

wendy we know one of the properties the bulls come from, and a guy who wrangles them and he was nearly killed last year, not that they're mean (usually bucking bulls are really calm when being handled) but they are so BIG!

I feel bad for them because they sound so trapped, like they can't do anything for fear of harm, and this person doesn't have a lot of people they can talk to or trust, and they also told me the school doesn't do much to help, so I'm trying my best to help them as delicately and helpfully as I can.
This person is 18, and they told me their younger sibling is 8, but they live out of state. They're talking to their friends about this, so that's a good thing. I also encouraged them to talk to their parents in case if the situation becomes more serious.
This person is scared because they told me their mother threatened to harm them if they call Social Services, so I'm trying to help the best way I can. I may have to tell them that DSS might have to get involved regardless.
And they just told me that they gave out their email to the abuse hotline, so that's a great way to start getting help. There's some hot lines where you can also send emails if you need help.

I think you have given her the best advice you can. The mother could be suffering an undiagnosed metal disorder, hard to say, but your friend needs to be safe. Is it possible a close friend could ring the DSS independently to report the concern? She might feel too threatened.
Ergo, it does, but hopefully, now they can have a bit of courage to talk to someone who can help them in the situation, I sent out a message to them a few minutes ago. Hopefully, it will get better for them.
And the poor kid gets picked on because they're into the Goth scene, but I told them that no matter if they get ridiculed at school, to always just be yourself and don't be anyone else just to make others happy, and hopefully, they can be happy with who they are.
