you know, even though in her story kapunua described the scene as mayo appearing on a balcony, in my mind'e eye it was completely that scene from phantom of the opera when the phantom appears at the top of the stairs during the party.
which seems to indicate i think mayo is the phantom of the opera??

which furthermore leads me to recall that sometimes, every once in a while, when i'm feeling particularly whimsical, i'll say "sing to me, my angels!" when i start up the black parade in my cd player.

Good morning Mayo. How have you been?
I hope things are going well for you. From the looks of this recent post, you seem to be moving forward in a positive manner which is great to hear.
Since you share so much with us, I'd like to share some happiness with you as well. Yesterday I found out that I have been chosen to be a 2008 ambassador for the company I work for. This is a major deal for me because this will mean more money and travelling. I am hoping that this new adventure will make me much more content than I've been in a long time. I hope that this helps me get through the slump I've been in with my relationship and I hope it renews my sense of ambition.
Anyway, just thought you might like to know how things are going since I barely say anything these days. I also wanted to tell you this as a reminder that everytime the chips are down, there's always something that can lift your spirits. I hope that your spirits have been lifted recently and that things are finally starting to go your way.

Elena, well, now that I remembered it it has left me with a really bad feeling. You know those dreams where you wake up in the middle of the night and you've got that dreadful feeling, then in the morning you've forgotten them? Until some random thing reminds you and then it all comes back and you get that dreadful feeling again.

I do not say any thing to you on this blog because of the fear of being screamed at by you for my thoughts. I read this, and for once I could not let it go.

If that is how you have interpreted K's choice of words then I think it is sad that you feel you have to post anonymously to say so. Why do you think she would scream at you? You are entitled to your opinion and she will either respond or ignore your comment, that is her right also.
It's unrealistic to expect 40+ females to get on with each other all the time, and we all have people we are closer to than others (as K explained in her story) and that is only natural, but I think it's unfair and unfounded to say that K hates people on this blog. Where are you getting that from? 'Hate' is an ugly word and I have never heard her say she hates anyone, in fact she invited everyone to 'hit up her blog' on more than one occasion. Everyone invited and everyone welcome.

I'm confused. Several times Kapunua invited anyone who was interested to go to her blog to be included. It wasn't a secret. She said she was going to write this story. So how is that like Miracle Whip? (and for the record I wasn't part of that and yeah my feelings were hurt at the time but I've let it go) This isn't like that at all. No secret, all were invited.

I understand feeling left out in general...I feel that way a lot of the times, but I also realize that no one is doing it on purpose. We have a large group here. It's only natural that some will get overlooked. I try not to take it personally.

it does not compare to "miracle whip" well i don't think so or "the list". anyone could have visited kapunua's blog and seen that she was doing a story. i feel guilty i don't visit other people's blogs enough cos there are some beautiful and heart felt things on them. really touching and sad.

Just got back from visiting with Boychild. ^_^ I swear this kid is incredible. I insisted that I was still sick and maybe I shouldn't go and spread my gross germs, but my cousin thinks that I'm past being contagious and probably caught it from him anyway. She would insist that I go over there and hang out anyway. Which was totally nice, but if the kid gets sick, I'm going to bash my head against the wall.
Thanks for the reviews on the story, guys! Imma try to do more later. It's really fun to do something outside of my stupid novel, something lighthearted where I can break some rules.

K, first things first, the story is fantastic. The pics bring it to life, I just love it.
TJ, your drawings are amazing. You are such a talent.
I know that a lot of you people are amazingly talented. Mya your singing and songwriting is great, Ergo your poems are fantatsic.
And many many more of you are so talented.
Mayo, I know that you appreciate art in it's many forms but I want you to know that some pepole here are not of the arty persuasion and are feeling left out.
These are not my feelings mayo, I am not the arty farty type and will never pretend to be.
I couldn't give a monkeys about who you talk to and who you don't. But some of the people here pour out their hearts to me. And they have also pured their hearts out to you.
Yet whenever you are around and they say hello, they get no response from you. They are not jealous of the recognition you give to the arty people, they are just sad that you don't seem to talk to them even though they have offered you the same amount of support as the talented ones.
Mayo, if I am around when you are and I say hello and you respond, that's nice. I'm not trying to beg for your attention. It's just that multiple of my friends are saying how left out they are feeling. I don't like seeing them that way.
I guess all I'm saying is that you have a lot of people here who like and care for you. They give their advice to you and all they want is a little hello whenever you are around.
Ideally, we would all like you to spend more time chatting. Everyone here would like to know you better.
I'm sorry if anyone feels like I am asking too much here, I just wanted you to know how a few people werre feeling.
They wouldn't say this themselves so I am passing it on.
But I think overall, we'd all like to see a bit more of mayo.
