Illusory Perfection.

I am captive and captured in stills, recalled and rendered in sepia toned illusion. My skin is translucent and tangible only to those with clever eyes and a mangled perception. It is there, hovering above birthdays, anniversaries, doctor appointments, and due dates that you will find me, a constant reminder to offer best wishes and maintain schedule. It seems strange to consider that someone would be ticking off days in such a way, counting down to events that I will never attend.

I am usually inspired while I do my ticking, but that does not happen very often. It is rarely with me, and I often forget…tick, tick, tick.

I am absent, and days go by while I forget. But I am drawn out soon enough. The need to move among the living, shoulder to shoulder, pulls me from my daydream. I must be just in reach. Then I wander off for a coffee, and I am reminded again, my impulsive progression brought to a screeching halt by an unfamiliar voice. The sinister tone still rings my ears “Hey motherfucker you got anything real to say?” I never do. I will though, and I will smile when I say it. “Too bad you missed it prick.”

Now that I have had a good breather, stretched my legs, and fashioned myself a clever new suit, I will attempt to remember to tick off the days.

There are things that I have yet to say, ears I have yet to perk. Shall I scream?

p.s. strange days.

Hoooeyyy!

Wordslingers and the Phallic Tower, chapter two: the Bedside Drawer and the Ragdolly Riddler. ^_^

I decided not to post it here because it's more fun with the links, because it takes up a lot of space, and because this is really Mayo's venue.

But please at least take a look at the drawing that Toujours made. It's a beautiful and adorable drawing of the Ragdolly Riddler. (I did a sketch in there too, also of the Ragdolly Riddler, nowhere near as good.)

Anyway, there ya go!

Oh, real quick, I want to totally shout out Frankles for his recent green panda hoodie. I see that panda in the mail at least once a month. Dude is a true animal rights activist, it's not just lip service with him.

Yay, Frankles!

Hi Wendy!!! How are you? Me? I am feeling jappy right now. I just got home a few minutes ago and it is freezing outside! But that's not what's making me happy. I got some emails from one of my favorite authors (L.J. Smith) and one of the questions I asked her in my email, she liked it so much so she decided to post it on her website, and it's really awesome ^__^

Anon616 said...

That's great BC! No wonder you're 'jappy' ;-)

It turned cold here again too. Wind chill in the low 20s.......
I'm freezing!!!!

It's just great Wendy. My mood was a bit sour earlier today, but the emails made me smile. What's cool is that earlier at the store, I went to go buy an ice cream from one of the ice cream machines, and the stupid machine fucked up and gave me another ice cream for free! Right now it's below zero and I was eating ice cream earlier he he

It's super cold indeed. Brrrr!!

Definetly time to hibernate, if you ask me!

It's been another lazy weekend for me, which is just the way I like them! It's not too cold here yet, considering it's Canada in the middle of winter. I suspect February is going to be frosty, though :(

Well, I was going to go out and hang out with 'the old gang' and the Hellraisers tonight; but decided to be a good, warm girl and stay home!

Southport Hall and The Dungeon will both be there next weekend ;-)

Tomorrow my niece is leaving to go to Washington DC for a week with some people from her school. I'm excited about that FOR her :D

How about you? Any exciting plans?
And you BC?

Anonymous said...

Well Wendy, I am not sure what I'm gonna do tomorrow, since it's going to be another cold and frosty day. I might stay at home and just watch some movies and read some books

Wendy, yep, I did say below zero. Amazing, isn't it? I'm just glad to be at home now. Hi RW!

Nope. Unless you count laundry and grocery shopping as exciting ;)

She now has a vampire obsession.

Unfortunately not. But they are open 24 hours, which is kinda exciting, I guess. I was going to do shopping in the wee hours tonight, for the novelty of it and to avoid line-ups. But... outside=cold inside=nice and warm

I'm staying inside!

RW: My niece will be 17 in April.
My sister did give her the complete "Vampire" series from Anne Rice for Christmas; but she hasn't started reading those yet.

She does love the TV series MoonLight! I must admit, I DO TOO, lol!

I'm sorry guys. I was answering emails, and checking my mail on myspace, blah blah blah. Did I hear someone say vampire literature? *ears are perked up in interest*

Goodnight and sweet dreams Fimble. Wendy, as for which books to recommend, if you like, you may want to check out Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It's directed towards YA but the author doesn't dumb the book down. It's excellent literature and is currently one of my favorite books.

Lost Souls sounds like an interesting read :)

No problem Wendy. Goodnight and sweet dreams RW. Hi Amy. Wendy, Twilight is an excellent book. It wasn't on the New York Times Bestseller's List for nothing :)

There is also a sequel called new moon that is out, but personally, I don't recommend it, and the latest in the series is called eclipse. The 4th book in the series should be coming out sometime this fall.

Hey, motherfucker. I don't care if you have anything real to SAY.
I care that you think of us enough to post here and even say ANYTHING that pertains to us as a whole.

Please don't scream though. Screaming denotes distress. Hollering, shouting or whopping it up can be equated with fun.

By the way, I think there will be another house party soon. Are you coming?

Hi all passing by, passing through, passed out.

FS, Hope you are keeping safe with the tornado warnings. And who untied you?

Mustard, we can't be brave and bold everyday. Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next. Just whenever it feels right you'll set that bird free.

Kass my lass,
You have fabulous wit and insight. I'm often nodding in agreement with what you perceive Mayo to be doing here.
Your suggested remedy for pain officially comes under the category of most unusual advice ever offered. You know everyone is now going to test that one out don't you =)

Kapunua,
Thoroughly enjoyed Chapter two. LOLed lots. I really liked the words appearing on RR's clothes, and the aim girls. RR's house, I snorted, seriously, when I saw that. Thank you for writing it.

TJ,
Nice rendering of underwear as outerwear. Hope the research wasn't too arduous.

Ergo,
Laughed at your cat pill post. So true - conniving tricky little critters.

MissT and DG's excellent night out,
Such nice guys from the band. Tingley moment time seeing BlogBelievers meet up in real life again.

RW,
So when the button came flying off was the guy 'startled - steady on' or 'startled - oh,yeah!'.

BC,
Congrats on the author acknowledgement. It must have been an interesting question.

Calendar theory anon,
Another good interpretation. I don't believe Mayo to be GW but it is interesting reading Mayo as seeing his life as having some similarities.

Did someone say slumber party?
You know we Kiwis and Aussies are in summer down here so we may be a little inappropriately and inadequately dressed.

Cupcake: It's always great to see you around! No groaning involved -except for maybe groans of joy and pleasure ;-)

Mayo's tick - tick - tick has me thinking about the passage of time.
How it passes so quickly. How we should learn to appreciate and try to derive joy in each moment we are given and how we should grant as joy as possible......

======
"Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived."

from the film "Star Trek: Generations

Yes, I AM a TREKKIE, lol!!

I hope we all remember to 'take in' each precious moment today and have a very joyous day!!

Good morning Mayo.

Good, that would be 'you' time.

By the way, all those ticks sound so monotonous and unhappy. Try getting a better rhythm going with some tocks. Loosen up a little and
draw some crazy faces or squiggles instead of those little regimental list markers.

Okay. Done for today.

See you 'round like a record.

My BlogBelieve Family,

I am only in for a minute, I have to go soon and pick up my parents, but I wanted to let you guys know that I appreciate the well-wishes for surgery tomorrow more than you will know.

This place has become more and more like a Family everyday, and it is just amazing to see.

There is so much love in these halls, and it is so good to see that being expressed freely. If you care about someone, you should never be afraid to tell them you love them, to let them know you appreciate them. So many are afraid to say the words. "What if I get hurt? What if they don't feel the same? What if I look foolish?"

Love is never wrong. Never foolish. It is something we all can use more of.

Remember, Its all about the love.

Mayo,

I hope you are doing well today, and finding your love and inner strength. Take the time to be thankful of all the people in your life that care about you and want what's best for you. Be yourself, and keep fighting. You are strong. You are loved.

SS,

Please take care of yourself, dear. You do so much for so many, and I think sometimes you forget to focus on yourself. Don't let anyone take you for granted. You are a sweet and kind person, and you are beautiful.

J. will be on tomorrow night, until then, take care of yourselves, my Family, and keep the faith.

Love. Hope. Faith.

Thanks for letting me quote you the other day 616!!!

For SS,

How's it hanging today? Head and hat still attached to the rest of you I hope. (MissT posted a rather interesting snowglobe image at 8.17pm.)

I hope you've been to see Kapunua's second chapter at her bloghome. Both she and TJ have posted some great pictures they have drawn of you as clickable links, and let's just add your home is rather interesting.

I saw an interesting young band called Enter Shikari from England the other day at BigDayOut. They're not everyones cup of tea as they are a strange mix of metal/trance/rock, completely doing their own sound. Onstage those kids were fantastic. You really hope that such young guys, that so obviously enjoy doing what they do, get noticed. They were way better than their video efforts suggest. The quality and energy of a band's live performance can not be beaten for showing a bands true talent. These kids had it in buckets and were charming and funny to boot.
Good grief. Trance music. Me. Who would have thought it would come to this?

Okay, have to away now.
Please take a peek at K's. I think you'll enjoy her description of your clothes and the anons arrivals.

Later dude.

How are you? Comfortable and well, I hope. Me? I just woke up. Sleeping til 9 is totally sleeping late. Yay me! My breakfast consisted of some french toast stick things and a glass of sweet tea. Yeah, I still haven't made it to the grocery store. Must make that happen today. Wind chill be damned.

Why am I having this feeling that today is going to be one of those "what the fuck" days? You know the ones. The kind that leave you shaking and scratching your head. Questioning everything. Emotions are running on high and stomach is turning.

Now, what does all this mean? Fuck if I know yet.

Mayo, my wish for you today is that you able to communicate to everyone exactly how you are feeling and they completely understand.

Love to YOU Always,

I'm soo forgetful sometimes.

Anyways, anything new in your life Mr. Mayo-Man? Somedays I feel fucking crazy for talking to someone who calls themselves 'Mayo', especially since you probably never read the comment. Seriously, wouldn't you feel touched in the head if YOU were randomly talking to a "Mayonaise"? Well, I guess not since YOU are the Mayo that I am talking to. hi faraway, how are you? busy? ;)

Anonymous said...

Hi faraway!!! Oops pixie, I thought you were talking about the MSI page. Ha ha sorry about that. My weekend so far is the same, although I went out yesterday and right now it's super cold to go anywhere today, so I'm staying in and watch movies.

I have some good news though that I haven't mentioned yesterday because I was super tired. A relative of mine told me that they are going to put a down payment for a car, and when they do I can make the monthly payments for it. It's really awesome (the car is going to be mine. Yay!)

I'm thinking of looking for an environmentally friendly car, but I haven't decided and it might take a while before I do :)

Pixie said...

that sounds cool bc! I miss my old own car.... :( I need one when I´m back in germany I think. I was also thinking about an environmentally friendly car. a friend of mine also has one, I should ask her about it :)

ergoproxy said...

good morning everyone!!

BC awesome about the car. It's hard to choose (but may I say Toyota Camry's are great)

HI Pixie Elena fimble CTV Martha pants and anyone else about

well It isn't raining here at my place which is nice, but there's a lot of flooding (well 2/3 of the state- 1 000 000 sguare km) and they have been evacuationg people from towns near us in low areas, we were drought 3 weeks ago!
And I will be going into our work shed which had about 8 inches of water through it, luckily it's all machinery like lathes and millers so no damage except for some job files but they should dry out, just gotta head over with the mop and broom and lift up some gear in case. Are we on anyones news? It usually only disasters and murders that get shown OS lol

Anonymous said...

Thanks pixie. You should ask her about the car, there's really a lot to choose from, especially if you're considering getting an environmentally friendly one. Hi there Ergo. Thanks. I was thinking that with the down payment, and the responsibilities it comes with taking care of the car and making payments, it may help me become a more responsible person, and I think it's a great thing.

I think I will start looking at some of the cars soon, but not right now, and with all of this, it helps me realize not to take my family for granted anymore. They have done so much for me, and I am started to appreciate that more.

It's the small things in life that's making me happy. Yesterday I got some emails from one of my favorite authors, and she is going to post my responses and questions on her website, because she liked them so much, and yeah, I was really happy about it :)

Pixie said...

good morning ergo! nice to hear that it isn´t rianing down under at the mo ;) how are you? hope you´ll have a good start into the week :)

Ergo, that's good that it stopped raining. Maybe then you don't have to finish working on that boat ^_^

Hi faraway!! How are you? As for the car thing, yeah, it seems I am going to get a new car soon, but on one condition: I have to meet up the monthly payments.

Can you say blackmail? Lol. Other than that, I shall get a car; maybe an environmentally friendly one. It will be a while until I start looking though.

Hi Fasc

pixie I shared a house with a guy like that! We cooked seaperate meals and didn't really socialise together (well we talked and stuff but lived separately) and he drank heaps of coffee and I didn't at all but when he moved out I missed the smell so much i started drinking it!
And he left sweatshirt behind that i still wear (that was in 1990 lol)
You get used to people being about.

so I'm off to the gym and to flood clean-up (yay mud!) not sure when I'll be back so I'll catch up when I do
take care everyone!!

Why wouldn't he have?

Unless he has already moved on to "edgier" and "more hardcore" things to tell the audience to impress his New Crowd.

Pixie said...

hi rw and kapunua , how are you?

I really hope he behaved or it was their first and last show in vietnam *laugh* ;)

Anonymous said...

I'm, meh. Hanging out with the fam, that's very cool. ^_^ But I just had the unfortunate experience of seeing myself on video at my cousin's house and so I will spend the rest of the week hating the way I look and wearing hats and glasses and having my hair down and trying not to talk. I'm funny that way.

Going to eat dinner, then I promised Jo-chan that later we would eat ice cream and watch Monty Python. She's been guiding me through Resident Evil 4. I keep getting killed by zombies with squids coming out of their heads.

capture this void said...

Hey guys.

So we've got a really short review of the Vietnam concert for now. We'll hear a lot more tomorrow.

For now:

The show tonight was brilliant. I promise I will be back tomorrow with a full report and even more pics. To quickly recap it for you guys though:
- My Way Home Is Through You LIVE FOR THE FIRST FUCKING TIME EVER.
- KILL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!!
- Desert Song.
- Bob Bryar For The Fucking Win.
- James Dewees!!!!

I'm hoping Gerard didn't make himself look like a tool this time. I'm really, really hoping. I don't want to be disappointed.

resurrected wreck said...

Why wouldn't he have?

Good point. I'm hoping, however, that good taste will win out. Eventually.

Pixie said...

hi ctv how are you?

ok that short review sounds good or? we also got kill all your friends here in helsinki, it was awesome :)

resurrected wreck said...

Hi Pixie :) How's things?

Pixie said...

everything ok in good old helLsinki rw ;) under zero degrees, so maybe we´ll get snow....

Hey CTV, RW. How are you guys?

resurrected wreck said...

Hiya BC :) How's Sunday been for you so far?

capture this void said...

Hey guys. I'm fine, just about to leave.

I'll see you guys later.

Anonymous said...

Hi there K. Quick RE4 tip for you.
If you're killing those zombies with the "squids" popping out of their heads, throw the blue grenades at them. The grenades will kill them instantly. If you use the gun, you have to shoot directly at their heads and you must back away from them before one of their tentacles hits you.

Anonymous said...

Take care CTv. Hi RW. Sunday is going okay, but it's damn cold outside so I'm staying in. Right now I'm having dinner and watching Blade:Trinity. I might get a car too ^_^

Pixie said...

bye ctv, take care!

G'night Pixie :)

Anonymous said...

Goodnight and sweet dreams pixie *hugs*

Hello redrum. RW, yep, I'm serious. This is the thing. My relative might put down a down payment for it, and then I will make the monthly payments. I have to say it's inspiring me to save up money but it might be blackmail in disguise lol. I'm thinking of getting an environmentally friendly car, but I won't look for anything just yet.

Anonymous said...

Redrum, ha ha that's funny!

resurrected wreck said...

That's exciting news, BC :) Have you ever ownded a car before?

Anonymous said...

Thanks RW. To answer your question: I never owned a car before actually. I have a older niece and her dad did the same thing: He added the down payment and right now she's paying the monthly payments and stuff, and that's the same thing we're gonna do.

I do my chores and then I
help pay the bills each month because some of my family are computer illiterate and well, I'm hoping car ownership will help me become more responsible as an adult.

I'm hoping it will turn out for the best.

Anonymous said...

Flash grenades or something, yeah!

So, if you're looking for a great car for the environment and if you also want to give the finger to the oil companies, the hybrids are still buggy and REALLY expensive. I've got a Hyundai Elantra. It gets 30-37 MPG, regular gas, and is a partial zero emissions vehicle. Also it's got a hugely high safety rating AND is under $17K. From what I gather, they run forever, too.

resurrected wreck said...

I used to own a car, BC, and I can advise paying a bit extra to get something reliable that will last you a while. Mine was a piece of junk :/ But I guess you get what you pay for.

Anonymous said...

K, flash grenades will definitely help. They're pretty much your best bet against those "squid" zombies, and they will help save you bullets in the long run. Be prepared. The levels and the monsters/zombies in the game are going to start getting a bit more harder. I recommend you keep your shotgun handy.

And oh, thanks for the car advice!
The Hyundai Elantra sounds like a pretty sweet deal so far :)

RW, that's something I want to look for. A car that can last for a long time and that has good car mileage and doesn't spill a lot of emissions onto the ozone.

That's something I am going to ask the car dealer when I start looking.

resurrected wreck said...

Have fun, everyone! I'm off to call my folks...

Anonymous said...

Take care RW. I am going to go make some layouts :)

Anonymous said...

Hey, can some of you do me a favor? I know this is a lot to ask but I'm really funny about stuff like this.

If SS comes around and I miss him, would anyone mind asking him if he's all right with me using the character he made up in my own story? From experience I know he's usually cool with that kind of thing, but I still always like to ask.

S(S)S, if that's a problem (and consider: two of us made a sketch of your character, too ^_^ ) please don't even hesitate to let me know. I can go back and change it, it's no problem. If you don't have time to answer I will take it as your tacit approval but if it bugs you out in any way, feel free to tell me.

Anyway, just in case I miss him, can anyone pass on that message? I've got Mayo's permission so that's cool, but, you know, I'm funny about permission.

Well guys, tonight is a Monty Python marathon. See you guys later! :D Oh, I'll see if I can get on chat later, too, if it's not too late. ^_^

No problem K. Take care

Hi, Mayo, SS, and all of Mayoville!
The temperature is supposed to get down in the teens tonight and I'm developing the sniffles, so I've prepared myself a hot toddy. Just wanted to drop in and say, "Hi!"

Anon616 said...

Hello everyone! How are you all tonight?

"ba ba ba ba ba

I'm sleeping
And right in the middle of a good dream
When all at once I wake up
From something that keeps knockin' at my brain.
Before I go insane
I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed
Screaming out the words I dread:
"I think I love you!"

========

Dang it BC! I still can't get that darn song out of my head! LOL

Did I read correctly? You might be getting a new car? YIPPIE for you!

I am an absolute TOYOTA gal. Actually, my family is a Toyota family! They're very reliable cars!

I see I missed Pixie again :(
I suppose she's sound asleep by now. It is 2:35 in the morning there, isn't it?

Anon616 said...

Mya!!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!

Thanks for the picture anonymous!

Anonymous said...

Hi Wendy and Mya!! How are you guys?
Anon, concerning Gerard, I have a somewhat strong feeling that despite the the band's break, nothing has really changed.

Anon616 said...

I'm good BC, thanks! I think I ate to much pasta drowning in marinara sauce (that's all RW's fault for mentioning Pasta last night and giving me the CRAVING) ;-)

I think GW looks pretty good in that picture. Perhaps he's been eating a little pasta as well
:D

Anonymous said...

Wendy, ha ha! Yes, you heard right: a new car. I was actually considering going for a bmw, but I don't know what for. My brother will only abuse it and show it off to his friends. I may go for an environmentally friendly car or something. I haven't picked my options yet and it may be a while before I do.

Anonymous said...

Wendy, I was going to say that. I noticed that Gerard has gotten a bit chubby, which I love. Aww! ^_^

Anon616 said...

A BMW!!! LOL, I think I would be afraid to drive one of those anywhere. I would worry to much about it ;-)

Mya, if you're still around, I hope you feel better soon!

========

Yeah, I think he is def looking better than he had been!

When men get TOO, TOO thin I want to run up to them and give them a bag of cookies or donuts ;-)

Anonymous said...

Thankfully, my neighborhood is safe for me to drive one of those(But the area doesn't have enough streetlights, which doesn't make sense) but my older brother has a black Toyota that's really nice looking. I don't know the model, but I might consider getting one. Whatever car I might choose, I am going to go with a black or a red one. I think those colors look the nicest on cars. I think white blows, but that's just me. I don't care which car actually, as long as I can drive to concerts and it has good gas mileage and doesn't break down on me constantly and doesn't release alot of emissions to the air, then I'm good :)

Mya, are you sick? Get well soon!

Anonymous said...

Wendy, just looking at that picture of him, I want to pinch his cheeks. They're so pinchable, and I hate when men get too thin.

I usually want to stuff them with two pounds of donuts or spaghetti or a few sandwiches or something ^__^

Anon616 said...

If you plan to do any speeding, don't go with a red car!

Red cars are most easily spotted on the highway....
Of course, I'm sure you WON'T be doing any speeding, right???

Anonymous said...

Some video clips from Vietnam

Anon616 said...

Hmmm........I have to go back and look at the picture to see if I think the cheeks are pinchable.

Hang on ONE moment and I'll get back to you on that one! ;-)

Anonymous said...

Ha ha, of course not Wendy. I'm going with a black car then. ^_^

Anon616 said...

By the way, I forgot to say hi.
Wendy, aren't his cheeks just pinchable? Frank is growing a beard and seems to have gain some weight as well and...Gerard is growing some facial hair. I checked out some pics earlier.

I am going to be going back and forth guys. There's some layouts I'm working on for my myspace so I'll be "time traveling" from here and to there and stuff :)

Did I read that you live in a beautiful old haunted house?
Can I come visit you and your ghosts? ;-)

Wendy, I think Gerard's voice would sound better if he'd stopped smoking. That shit is seriously not healthy for you, and I don't want to hear about him getting diagnosed with cancer later on in life :/
I hope he'll work on quitting. That goes for Frank too. Don't think I didn't see that picture of him holding a ciggy! ;D

Hi Elena. Is it true that you live in a beautiful haunted house? I have to say, it's hard to stay angry at him at times when too many fans try to dissect everything he does. I wonder how he handles it. I don't think I ever could.

You aren't using one of those wicked ouija boards, are you Elena?
Those things scare the crap out of me ever since I had a very, very bad experience with one.

Of course, if I had followed the proper 'rules' - never use the board alone, seal all the windows and doors and such - I might not have had the bad experience....

I'm not good at following 'rules' sometimes ;-)
Well, I DID learn my lesson!
