The rhythm of my thoughts is calming. The grainy cadence of my voice is a constant reminder that I must, and will, refrain. It rains and it pours, beating the pattern like a tambour in my skull. The words are fugacious, and conservation is my priority. I have the ability to catch the phrases, hold them in sanctuary until they are well, and re-release them back into their natural habitat. I must let them go. Captivity will only foster anxiety, increasing the pacing…the back and forth search for limits.
It is there that they will live out the duration of their lives.
p.s. is it ridiculous to consider the possibility?

I was in a cyclone as a kid (hurricane) and it ripped the roof off and all, really bad.

yes it was christmas morning I was 4 I think (1971?)and we had to get out and over to the flats being built next door it was really scary. It destroyed a lot of Townsville (in nth queensland) her name was cylclone Althea.

I love storms. But they do scare me sometimes.

How are you tonight? Did you have a great day? I hope you did. Mine turned out better than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Now, I am suffering from one of those lack of caffeine headaches...sucks ass.
So, I just wanted to tell you that I'm still having that trouble "getting in". I don't know what is going on with Blogger, but it hasn't been the same since before Christmas. Anima: Only buffered aspirin, and it should really be measured out by a vet in relation to the dog's size. But if it gets really bad and your baby is in lots of pain, I think--THINK--you can safely give a small amount of buffered, baby aspirin.

Thanks Kapunua for the advice. I think we are going to take her to the vet tomorrow, but she is in pain. She had a ton of issues with hives her first two years until we switched her to a vegan diet (to help her tolerance). But during that time we took her to the emergency several times. She can handle a lot. We can give her two adult benedryls. I gave her one tonight just to calm her down and allow her some much needed rest.
I know asprin is really hard on a dog's stomach so I wasn't sure. I never thought of baby asprin. When the benedryl wears off, I think I will cut one buffered in half. That should help a bit. Thanks again.

anima to buffer is to put up a barrier between two things usually to slow or lessen the effect of one on the other.
Asprin dissolves very quickly and can cause cell damage leading to bleeding (it's actually quite toxic in large amounts, originally from willow bark) so a buffer (the coating) slows the rate and also means it travels further in the digestive system prior to release.
They do it for a number of drugs.

Anyway, here's a odd bit from my day. My days are frequently odd. Sorry.
I recently got a paid of gloves as a christmas gift. They are white fleece and quite warm. My old gloves are black and red striped to match my winter jacket which is red with black and cream accents.
So, it seems to me that since I've started wearing the white gloves, I'm getting more male attention. One guy actually made a point of staring at my hands.
Now, my theory is. When my hands resembled a coral snake, I did not attract as much attention. My hands are now clearly warm and fuzzy, and not clothed in the warning colours of a poisonous reptile, so I am garnering interest.
The test: start dressing like poisonous species and see if it keeps men away.
The trial: finding parts of my wardrobe that resemble poisonous species.
