Ghost-imposed gag order.

You want this straight?

Then you have to be willing to hear me out, and that means all of it. You can not pick and choose the verse; the ugly shit has got to ring in your head too. The things that I say that cling to your clothes like mildew, the stench entrenched, leaving you filthy.

What is the matter? You can’t wash it off? Well, neither can I.

I repeat myself so much these days that the truth is often lost in the mix. Say it, say it again, and again. You try it and see how well rehearsed you can be. Sometimes I change my mind, and you use it against me. You will tuck it away, and bring it out for a later date, only to make me eat shit and lie.

And you will use it against me.
Tuck it away for a later date,
only to make me eat shit...

bivouac - Going to share more quotes?

BC I saw your story but haven't read it yet.
I'll try to over the weekend.

Maybe I could see if the library has any book versions of Buffy. They've done that haven't they? I don't watch much tv or dvd's except for after dinner.

elena said...

Nothing lame about reading comics.

Anonymous said...

I'm actually a Angel fan. I always have been since the beginning but I do like Spike. Also Drusilla, no matter how insane she is. Ye gods, but I also liked Cordelia. She was funny, no matter if she was a snobby bitch
Ergo, no worries. I'm editing my story anyways. It hasn't been updated in two years.

Nothing wrong with reading comics ^_^

Carrie said...

Ergo, some of the books are good, some suck ass. I like the comic Season 8 version, but haven't read the rest. The tv series totally ruled though, some of the most funny and intelligent dialogue I ever heard out of the idiot box.

bivouac snow looks so nice romantic and fun to someone like mein the tropics, but from what you and others have said here it really is a lot of hard work and annoyance.
I can't imagine having to shovel out my front door and path and car and everything else, and sliding about.

but what a nice way to spend the evening apart from the work.
I can never sort through books and things without getting sidetracked re-reading

Carrie said...

NO BC, Angel is bloody stupid and his hair sticks straight up!

Anonymous said...

Way to put me on the spot, elena SHEESH

I'm saying that in a nice way, just to clarify.

I could give some goofy Portal quotes, but they'd be totally out of context if you haven't played the game. But they're really really funny.

Anonymous said...

Sorry Carrie, I have always been an angel fan. Nothing will change my mind :)

elena said...

Sorry bivouac

So other than Buffy comics what other comics to you like?

Anonymous said...

ergoproxy, the only bad thing about snow is driving in it. Everything else (even shoveling) is fun.
I am sorry for your snowlessness.

Anonymous said...

There is another comic I like that's called the LAst Temptation by Neil Gaiman. Alice cooper makes an appearance. I read it one day while I was at Barnes and Noble. My other favorite is the crow by James O' Barr.

*gasp*

i actually got a comment box.

bivouac, thank you for that buffy quote, it was very apt. and i agree: you really do gotta love whedon -- in fact, it was his writing that hooked me on that show. i was really looking forward to his take on wonder woman, darnit. :(

it's pretty close for me to be getting off to bed, so i'm going to take full advantage of this miraculous comment box, and say good night to everyone, and i hope you all sleep well!

mayo,
i'm making my good nights to you here, too.

i was really hoping to hear from you tonight, but i know you'll post when you can, so i'll hang in there. i'm very patient with people i like.

i'm not going to go on about how i hope you'll be feeling better when you post again, or about the impact of this entry -- you've read the comments, you know.

instead, i'm just going to give you a little gift tonight:

my cat likes to eat her dinner in the front window, and now that it's winter, it's quite dark by that time of the evening.
yesterday, when i brought her her plate (yes, of course she's spoiled! what would be the point of having a cat, otherwise? *grin*) i happened to glance out the window, and i saw it.

the new moon.

there must have been some fog in the air, because her lines were fuzzy and indistinct, but she still shone with all the brightness of a brand new blade in the sky, curved and needle-sharp.
she's the threshold of the month, you know.

every month, a new beginning. isn't that wonderful?

good night, mayo. maybe the moon will visit you in your sleep -- she has a silvery whisper, it's quite pleasant.

good night everyone!

Anonymous said...

Squeak squeak, Joss Whedon is a damn fine genius. Enough said. Good night and sweet dreams squeak squeak *hugs*

Anonymous said...

I'm also reading The Walking Dead, Invincible, The Boys (it's gross though, don't read it), Astonishing X-Men (also Whedon, it's fantastic), Ultimate X-Men, Marvel Zombies anything, Ultimates anything, Y the Last Man. I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them now.

ergoproxy said...

bivouac thank you, I'd love to see snow one day, I really want to throw a snowball, make a snow angel (I've done sand and mud angels though -good fun, though very messy) and try sledding.
are they fun to do?
I always envy the people in those movies, you know skating and all.

Have to travel very far south from here though, there are only really some mountain areas that get it.

But we have a lot of great tropical stuff too.

Damn wish I'd seen Buffy now, so i know who you're talking about!

oh comics !!
*sits and pouts*

I haven't read comics for ages.

I used to read x-men and the silver surfer and batman, usually stuff my brother bought.

I tend to read novels instead, though I do enjoy a good comic.

I just never really think to buy them anymore, maybe I should, any suggestions?(be aware it is a newsagents with not a really huge range, I know they have Marvel and DC comics)

oh! I just remembered, (going back to the comic thing) you should read the Dark Tower ones. Actually, read the books first. And then have the comics as dessert. Because they are very pretty.

SO what do you think of The Umbrella Academy? I wasn't sold on it reading the Free Comic Book Day issue but I'm glad I gave it a chance. I'm really enjoying it.

Anonymous said...

I'm actually eating a cupcake. hold on. Ahhh. As for the umbrella academy, so far I like it and with each issue it's getting better, but it's not my favorite. Sorry. I don't have a favorite character, but I like oo5.

Thanks for saying it wasn't that good though, because it makes me feel better about not having the chance to read it.
I'm really enjoying the art on the Umbrella Academy series so far, and the plot is very enjoyable. I'm hoping it can go beyond a mini-series, because there haven't been any "HOLY SHIT" moments and I'm really quite partial to "HOLY SHIT" moments.
I hope that makes sense b/c I am quite tired and I'm going to bed now.

Morning Mayo!

Well it all kicked off here last night didn't it?

We seem to have had a veritable avalanche of Anons - I think I counted one friendly (Pants), 2 random/conspiratorial and 2/3 complete *ssholes.

Sometimes this blog seems to have a split-personality; one moment there's love and goodwill flying all over the place, the next it's turned malevolent - and that's ignoring the change of heart Mayo himself seems to have had over the last few months.

Taking on Kapunua was probably more foolhardy than anything else, but they really should leave Trisky in peace and as for my poor Cuppers...

Grrrr!!

I hope your finally getting some sleep and TLC Cupcake. It's lovely having someone to talk to whilst I'm here but not if it's keeping you up at stupid o'clock in the morning!

Still, hopefully the presence of the f*ckwits we've dealt with will demonstrate to Mayo that we're strong enough to handle whatever 'ugly sh*t' he has planned to throw at us.

Love,
Kass xx

P.S. I've tried to put my pic up on my blog for anyone who feels ready for it. It may eventually appear sometime next year, my blog doesn't seem to like me very much!

Shame in me said...

Mayo are you here?
Have you been busy, is that why you havent spoke or are you still upset?
Either way i hope that you are ok, i really do.
Its nearly christmas, isnt that the time where you push aside your differences and realise what really matters?
Theres not much time, but its reversible if you werent so stubborn.
Im sure the person regrets making you this upset very much.
Maybe im talking out of my ass you know, but sometimes i wonder if someone was taken away from me unexpectedly, would i have said everything i wanted to say to them?, would i have let silly or maybe not so silly arguments stand in the way of a deep love that i will never be able to get back again?
I try to live my life as though i may not have one tomorrow, it just helps me see what is important. I do slip up from time to time but its always better to make love and not war. I hope this makes sense to you. Im sure the ghost doesnt want things to be like this not at christmas anyway.
I wish i could put what i mean into beautiful verse like yourself but thats not where my talents lie.
Mayo look after yourself. But also those around you.

Hi PP & SIM again!

Today I am mostly being glad it's Friday. It's also completely dead at work so I have more time to do really important stuff like reading through last night's Evil Anon battle. Lordie, some people can be so unnecessarily harsh.

It's annoying but the only place I have internet quick enough to load the comments is at work (or occasionally my bro's) so I tend to miss out when all the really random people come crawling out from under their rocks in the evening. Hello PH & Innerjoy,

We don't really keep pets anymore except for a fishpond in the garden so it's not really my area of expertise, I'm afraid.

I did once have a hamster called 'Minnie' that was so huge she couldn't fit inside her wheel anymore so we used to let her run round the living room and the garden - keeping a beady eye on her, obviously! When she eventually had to be put down, aged a rather ancient-for-a-hamster 3½ years, my parents put up a small wooden cross near the aforementioned pond where she liked to burrow in the sandy soil. It was a comforting gesture for a small child.

If nothing else, your family can take comfort in knowing that they gave a second chance at a fabulous, loving life to a unwanted pooch.

I imagine that Mayo's real name is Oscar Templeton. He lives in Topeka, Kansas with only a few college credits and a beat up Neon to his name. Having suffered constant dreams of grandeur and beauty as a youth, his teenager years were filled with disappointment when none came true, leaving him cynical and feeling like an old, forgotten dress left in the attic to be consumed by moths. Yet, despite the cynicism, his dreams did not go away which has tortured him since. He uses this a venue to pretend he did in fact become someone great and to assuage the constant loneliness he feels while bagging others' groceries at his lowly job.

If you say it like an American, with the w in the front, then it's totally not sexy.

But if you say it like a German with a soft v in front of it, then that's still hot.

I know no one else seems to be here, but I wanted to use this moment to declare I'm intensely in love with Sdock10.

But, then again, who isn't?

Smoke said...

Yeah, to be honest, I really hate Mayo. From now on, he's Oscar Templeton, your hilariously bitter and tortured cashier at the supermarket.

Just think, that grumpy looking young man behind the register could be writing this blog, pretending he's an MCR member in his spare time!

Anonymous said...

Or he could be that weirdly silent guy at the health food store. Or your car mechanic that won't look you in the eye. Or the sad man who never leaves his house because he chose a career in web design and furtively steals glances at you in Starbucks on his weekly outing.

Anonymous said...

Oh, to bring it back to Gerard Way for a moment, I recently heard an interview where he said he doesn't get crushes on people.

Uh-HUH. Riiigggghhhttttt.

He has the exact same look as the kid in high school who went through having a crush on every girl that attended there for at least a week.

A couple years ago, he was brave enough to admit of his unhealthy obsession with Christina Ricci.

I honestly don't think he lies on purpose. I think he just keeps convincing himself that he's someone he's not and genuinely for that moment believes it.

Thanks for the laugh!

PPU,

Thank you.

You may ask, how did I come to this conclusion?

A very odd route that lends me absolutely no credibility, but consider this.

No joke, I have a curse. A blessing, a curse, depends on the day, the hour, the second.

With those born under the sign of Aries.

Ever since I've been 17, they keep getting thrown into my life more than any other sign.

And one thing I noticed is that they are the biggest hypocrites in the world. I mean, you talk to them one hour, they adamantly rave at you about some moral subject they're passionate about at the moment or something about themselves. You talk to them again on the same day and they refute everything they just preached about earlier, yet they seem completely unaware of it.
It used to seriously amuse and miff me, until I realized what was going on.

(Please, if anyone right now is an Aries, please don't take offense. I really do love all of you)

This is getting to be too long of one post, let me start typing part two....

Anonymous said...

By the time I had accrued over a dozen of them, the light bulb went on.

They have extremely malleable minds. There is no such thing as a genuinely retarded Aries. And they are also fantastic listeners. They may fool you at the time with an external facade of stubbornness, but they're actually absorbing every bit of minutiae and information that comes their way.

They are also very gullible. I'm sorry, there's no nicer term for it. And they keep changing their mind without realizing it or being manipulated by others to do or think things they wouldn't normally do because they get so caught up in the moment and they so desperately want to be loved by anyone they remotely respect or like.

Also, I have never met an Aries who was not deeply complex. They have so many different sides to themselves and they're all genuine to a certain extent, that depending on what they've just read or who they hung out with brings out side X which may be in total contrast to side B.

There are other people that realize they change their minds, you may say.
But the difference is that the poor sweethearts often lack in temporal self-awareness. They can't even sense or feel that they've 'switched' unless they have time to reflect on it and by then it's too late.

There's my astrological lesson for the day.

And for anyone who didn't know, our Gerard Way is an Aries.

Anonymous said...

GV, as a Scorpio and someone who suffers from those same character flaws, I can attest that those characteristics aren't exlusive to an Aries.

Anonymous said...

Oh, I understand. And... It's also really hilarious that you're a Scorpio because that's the other sign that constantly follows me around.

But, anyway!

On a topic that people won't believe me a fruitcake.

Ummmm.... I really love Earl Grey tea. And pens. I have an obsession with stationary.

What are your obsessions, PPU?

Kassiopeia said...

Hi GV!

I imagine Mayo is actually a rather canny employee at Reprise and this entire blog is an exercise in market research.

So here's my attempt at a bullsh*t story:

Once upon a time Love Man was a disgruntled employee blogging their heart out from a fragrant meadow studded with wild flowers, when the evil record company who lived in a haunted castle silloutted against a lightening-streaked sky sent out that member of their army of darkness with the blackest heart to vanquish her.

More accustomed to bribing INO & BN moderators with backstage passes to squash the more insurrectional threads, a spark of inspiration flashed as he realised that the older, less blinkered fans could be harnessed as a sounding-board on My Chemical Romance-related matters in a way they would never do wittingly.

Simply by alluding to being a band insider or Gerard Way himself a web of lies was spun to trap the curious and unwary. In time the blogger grew to know the personalities and idiosyncracies of those whose interest was piqued and moulded his posts accordingly, becoming more cryptic and Mayonaise seemingly more emotionally unsure.

Sensing that the 'audience' had open hearts and inquisitive minds a seperate entity (SS) was brought in, yet he and Mayo were one and the same. By hinting that SS' identity was as another in the band, the public reaction to the group's dynamic could be more thoroughly assessed, whilst Mayo's sporadic commenting, under the cloak of anonymity, with regards to the band and, in particular, their singer's crimes against mature behaviour, ignited the posters fury.

Soon those gathered had swelled in number and Mayo became arrogant, secretly creating an alternate universe to furthur create intrigue and to feed the sense of power he lacked in real life as a mere industry underling.

But secrets cannot remain so for long, the 'rental' was discovered and apocalypse threatened. Mayo had to learn contrition or face the sack!

And so it came to pass that Mayonaise begun to cherish what he had created as never before, yet he could never reveal his true identity or intentions; to this day he traverses the Land of BlogBelieve, quoting poetry, changing his location so as to never confirm or deny that belief to which some still cling to and never answering any of the damn questions asked of him!

And yet for this community that was once created from ether laced with cynicism we shall all live happily ever after....

I'm really quite full of cr*p when I put my mind to it!!

I do want to say thank you for this post. It made me really FEEL, which is something your recent posts haven't been able to do.

I know your anger, as I too have felt it.

It is beneficial for you to get it out because it helps you to heal. And by doing it through writing, it lets you vent without physically or emotionally hurting those whom you love. Unless they read this of course, then that becomes something different.

Keep letting out your feelings through this blog if it helps you. I know that it does or else you wouldn't be doing it. It's better to do it here than to explode and take the anger out on those whom you hold so dear.

Just remember, we are here for you. We listen to you. We love you.
